[00:00:00] Hello, welcome to The Roleplaying Exchange. This is Adam and I'm joined by my two good friends

[00:00:21] over from One Less Die and I'll then tell you Rigor Mortis. Gentlemen, would you care to introduce

[00:00:28] yourselves more formally? Oh, hello. I'm Chris or craze on or review cultist, a man of many names

[00:00:36] online and in podcasts. And I'm Dave. I go by the gamer in yellow sometimes and that's a bonus.

[00:00:46] I think this is your first time on mine, Dave. I can't recall. So welcome aboard. The place is a

[00:00:54] mess, but it's I know where everything is kind of. It's fine as long as it's an organized mess.

[00:00:58] That's all that matters. So today guys, I have brought you over to talk about something that's

[00:01:03] very important and very near and dear to all of our hearts. And of course, you know what that is

[00:01:08] right, Chris? Wrestling? Wrestling, sir. I got you're already sort of now it's wrestling.

[00:01:15] Wrestling. I got a bit of a confession. I didn't watch a lot of wrestling as a kid,

[00:01:20] but like I was kind of wrestling. Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on. I was very wrestling

[00:01:26] adjacent. Like everyone are all the kids around me do wrestling and played wrestling. So I kind

[00:01:32] of like osmosis like information from them. So you're wrestling curious? Yeah. Yeah.

[00:01:42] When I worked at Walmart in the toy department, I was always like looking at the wrestling

[00:01:46] figurines and stuff. And it was kind of the opposite of that.

[00:01:53] Like back in like the attitude era and all that, I watched that like every week.

[00:01:57] I was always like power bombing my friends.

[00:02:02] I do also remember like, I do have some fond memories of like hanging out with you and

[00:02:05] some of the other friends and like watching you guys play like the WWE,

[00:02:10] like wrestling, like video games and stuff. So yeah, I still have some of those

[00:02:14] on my original Xbox. I'm staring at two copies of Raw 2. I have two because one of them barely

[00:02:19] works. The last time we were at it, I bought a second one just to be sure.

[00:02:24] So this is of course, a segue into we're going to do a character roll up for World

[00:02:29] Ride Wrestling second edition. Now I have full disclosure. I played in a full campaign

[00:02:36] of that that was hosted on our friends podcast technical difficulties and we

[00:02:42] are PX back in the day. We also did a little cross podcast kind of game where

[00:02:47] Tech Diff would run a game, then insert quest here would run a game and we all just kind of

[00:02:53] jumped between the two and it was nice goofy fun. And I mean, I got a lot of fond memories of

[00:02:58] this this game and the second edition kick started. It looks like it was like 2020.

[00:03:05] Mm hmm. So did you play first edition, not this one?

[00:03:09] I played first edition and we actually did like, like I said, the whole campaign.

[00:03:14] And then when that was pretty much kind of tapering our campaign was kind of coming to a finale.

[00:03:19] They did the second edition Kickstarter, which I think it's a lot of the same rules

[00:03:25] and they just kind of added supplemental material that had been published elsewhere into the game.

[00:03:32] Gotcha. So I mean, we honestly backed it at such a level that I think someone has a belt.

[00:03:42] They sent one of us a belt. Now I just put in like, you know, 20 or 30 bucks. We all

[00:03:47] of us were in that campaign. I didn't even get a physical book. Yeah. So it's gotta be Noah,

[00:03:53] right? That has that belt. It was Noah or Micah Nielsen who was our GM or it could be Greg

[00:04:00] from TechDiv. So it was just the four of us. It just that whole campaign started with me and

[00:04:06] Micah talking about wrestling and like I don't follow it anymore. I haven't followed it since

[00:04:12] the attitude error was about when I dropped off there, but of WWE, which used to be WWF

[00:04:19] when I was a kid. And but still we kind of we were talking about it. I was introduced to

[00:04:25] this game. We had lots of fun. So I have this PDF for the second edition that I kick started

[00:04:32] and thought, you know, this would be a great opportunity to kind of break it out. Dave,

[00:04:35] I heard, you know, before you mentioned in power bombing your friends that you

[00:04:40] Yes, I'm a wrestling. So that's why I asked you to join us here today.

[00:04:44] I appreciate that. The concept of this is intriguing, to say the least.

[00:04:49] It's I mean, it could be as goofy as you want it to be. And that's what I really liked about

[00:04:53] it. We played serious games like Voss and well, it can't be serious can be goofy too,

[00:05:01] but Delta Green and Cthulhu and all that. And every once in a while I just want something nice

[00:05:05] and just you know, like an adult cartoon kind of thing that I can enjoy.

[00:05:11] Yeah, intentionally goofy. Yeah, a palak lenser.

[00:05:16] And this game is unique for as far in my opinion as far as powered by Apocalypse Games go. So

[00:05:23] you got you have, you know, we're today we're going to create a wrestler and I'll also create one

[00:05:28] because there's kind of something I want to discuss with you all about that.

[00:05:32] But there's also the GM in this is called the creative. So this is I guess, as far as modern

[00:05:39] WWE kind of stuff like that goes, that would be like what Hunter Hirstamsley is and a bunch

[00:05:44] of other people the ones that are coming up with these ideas. And so that's the GM.

[00:05:50] And I get whenever, unless you're doing PVP against you all then the creative is also running

[00:05:57] the MPW or non playable wrestler as they would call it. And the other players that are actually

[00:06:04] not engaged in that match will kind of jump in as the announcer. So there's kind of a

[00:06:10] switching role that kind of can kind of go on. And as far as character creation for this

[00:06:16] is going to go, I feel like we're going to probably shoot through this fairly quick. And

[00:06:20] we'll probably talk about trying to create a promotion. And if we ever do anything with this

[00:06:25] particular game, there's a setup to where it's like a committee. So everybody can be a GM and

[00:06:32] everybody has kind of creative input to a degree on the overarching campaign that you're

[00:06:39] doing. And so we can kind of switch around and not have like a forever GM,

[00:06:46] not that we have any of those in our midst or anything like that right now.

[00:06:52] That'd be fair though, I do like being a GM. But you get to be a GM and you get to

[00:06:58] create wrestlers as well. And you get to, we're going to be eventually creating like a staple

[00:07:05] of wrestlers. So it will be more than just the three that we create. And another nice little

[00:07:10] dynamic of this is it's also taken into consideration the real lives of the wrestlers. So you've got

[00:07:19] your kayfabe part of it, so your persona in the ring. But the game also will involve

[00:07:26] the actual character who's or the real one, so to speak. So you've got the in the ring

[00:07:32] and the behind the ring stuff. And cool. So it's not just what's televised basically? Yeah.

[00:07:38] Now you're going to, you get to do all this fun shit. Like when I had this game introduced to me

[00:07:42] years ago, like, I mean people are doing, you could do whatever kind of intro you want to

[00:07:47] into it. Like one player was being flown in by drones, like a swarm of drones or

[00:07:52] tethered to bring him in there.

[00:08:00] You can cut a promo. Oh, I'm going to whip his ass. Kind of stuff. You know, as they get in front

[00:08:06] of the camera, you can like interrupt matches. There's abilities like that. You can crawl out

[00:08:11] from underneath the mat with the steering chair. I'll cut the fun like goofy shit that we can

[00:08:16] do. But, you know, entries do happen and problems do happen to your wrestler. So when you're doing

[00:08:24] the backstage or you're doing, you know, going from the venue to venue kind of stuff like that,

[00:08:30] then you can actually role play the characters. They may hate each other in the ring

[00:08:34] and be best friends outside of the ring, kind of things like that. So it's Mario and

[00:08:38] Bowser. Like in the games Mario and Bowser are like rivals and like villains.

[00:08:43] But like there is sort of this unspoken meta where like they're all just like actors and like the

[00:08:49] games are just like staged. Yeah. Yeah. And it can be a lot of fun. And from somebody who,

[00:08:56] now my life doesn't understand this guys. Okay. She didn't grow up watching this stuff. Like I

[00:09:02] will any kind of documentary about an old wrestler and things like that, I will watch.

[00:09:07] Like my favorite, you can share your favorite wrestler, Dave. Chris, you can mention one

[00:09:13] that you were mildly curious about. I watched that bad wrestling horror movie, Wrestle Maniac.

[00:09:23] I know who Rey Mysterio is. Actually, honestly growing up like my favorite,

[00:09:29] like really young, like my really like early introduction to it. My favorite was like

[00:09:36] Yokozuna and then like Andre the Giant. That was Jake the Snake Roberts. I liked him. He wasn't

[00:09:45] flashy. He definitely was in the luchador jumping off the top ropes or anything like that. But he

[00:09:50] had a big snake and to my eight year old mind, that's all you need really. Yeah. That was pretty

[00:09:55] cool. Yeah. So is your character gonna have like a giant iguana over your back? Or like

[00:10:02] kind of like or some kind of like equally like very large like a rattlesnake or something.

[00:10:09] His sophomore, Madeleine. Yeah. No, Adam, it's gotta be a possum. Yeah, a possum. It's gotta be a possum.

[00:10:19] Oh, the possum. Bo Cephas, the possum king. Yeah. I think it's a coat. He walks out of the

[00:10:27] end of the coats. Possums. Yeah, it's just all one big, it's just all like a swarm of possums that

[00:10:34] you just like, you like discard it like like a coat and then it all just, it just disassembles

[00:10:39] into a bunch of like possums. And you can do that and it could be so fun. I want to say

[00:10:46] a little precursor things here of things that I've done that were really fun that I would like to

[00:10:52] just introduce the world with. So if you listen to the Technif games that I'll include

[00:10:56] the link and show notes here, I based an entire character off of a song by Balmcripper,

[00:11:04] which is a Doom Metal band Dave. And the song was called Reefers Sutherland.

[00:11:09] So I remember Reefers Sutherland. So Reefers Sutherland was like an ex-college football

[00:11:16] star kind of galbundi. I guess you could say it got into wrestling and substance of use and

[00:11:21] I got to having to do all kinds of silly shit. Like RGM, Michael was set up our game back in

[00:11:29] kind of mirroring before WWF at the time took over everything. There was like little

[00:11:36] territories. So you had a wrestling in this part of the U.S. and you had a wrestling in

[00:11:41] Southern part and then all these different wrestling agencies. That's kind of how we set

[00:11:47] it up where he had a game it took play or match it took place in Cincinnati, Ohio.

[00:11:53] And I had my character go over into Kentucky to the Creation Museum. Dave, do you know what

[00:11:57] the Creation Museum is? I don't. Okay, well, you're in retreat. Yes. I mean, I would

[00:12:03] totally take Chris there. It wasn't the fact if I didn't just burst my flames.

[00:12:08] Yeah. All right. So there's this movement in Christianity that, you know what? Dinosaurs are

[00:12:18] real and they're not here to pull us by God or anything like that. And we're going to incorporate

[00:12:24] them into Bibles. So they have like their quote unquote proof that dinosaurs existed at the time

[00:12:31] across and all that. So you can go to Noah's Ark exhibit and find dinosaurs on the Ark.

[00:12:38] Uh huh. Okay.

[00:12:47] I would give for a fucking Christian movie, a reinterpretation of Jurassic Park via Noah's

[00:12:54] Ark. Jurassic Eden. Jurassic Ark. Nice. That was actually, I'm sorry that was unintentional.

[00:13:07] I totally gapped it like park and Ark. Wow. Dude, I think it's great. Well, I'm sorry short.

[00:13:15] I was, I had my character break into the museum with a hacksaw and cut the head off of a

[00:13:20] stegosaurus and he went and then that next match I was playing this Stego Jesus. Nice.

[00:13:28] No, I take it back. I dressed as Noah Cardin character, Baron Bocke-Roth. So I framed him.

[00:13:37] He was a vampire. Okay. Yeah, fair. It's worth checking out. I mean, that's fun,

[00:13:42] that's fun things to do. There's one that was on Rays in Sir Quest here where I was playing

[00:13:51] basically like the old wrestler, Heal Billy Jim. But I was called Moon Shiner Joe because I named it

[00:13:57] after a man. I worked with him. He was named Joe who makes moonshine. But moonshiner Joe

[00:14:04] falls into a pit this setup around the ring and then I used my moves that might insert

[00:14:09] myself back in the match. But I'm not moonshiner Joe. I come back in a white cloak and I'm moonshiner

[00:14:15] the white lightning god. You can have so much fun with this and it encourages that goofiness

[00:14:23] and there's a total suspension of belief thing which kind of goes hand in hand with wrestling.

[00:14:28] So you guys about ready to roll one up here? I think so.

[00:14:34] Also to answer your question from like 15 minutes ago,

[00:14:39] I watched it during the attitude era. So like Stone Cold Steve Austin was one of my favorites,

[00:14:42] obviously. Like Steve Blackman was fucking insane. Can I swear?

[00:14:49] This is an adult fail. Okay. Yeah.

[00:14:53] It's all the silly antics that like DX and everything did like all that fun stuff.

[00:14:59] Oh, and that was a big highlight. I think I was like 18 or 19 in college at the time and I would

[00:15:06] go over to my neighbor's house and watch with all of our high school buddies and just sit

[00:15:11] down and watch this stuff. And it was great. I also really liked Ken Shamrock. That was like

[00:15:17] pretty much everyone's introduction to MMA was like seeing him in wrestling.

[00:15:22] Well, aside from people that actually like followed MMA at the time, which was basically

[00:15:27] non-existence. That was I'm trying to think of any other good ones from that time. But yeah,

[00:15:31] you had the rock and all those it was. Yeah, it was premier wrestling. This is very interesting

[00:15:37] because like again, I have a very limited like association with wrestling aside for like

[00:15:44] it's very casual because like again, I remember like, like, you smell what the rock is cooking.

[00:15:49] Like I remember all the phrases and stuff like that from people that were near me that

[00:15:52] loved wrestling and would like constantly like do the like basically turn them into memes before

[00:15:57] things were really a thing. Yeah, mainstream. But like yeah, like again, like I remember like

[00:16:03] John Cena, you can't see me like that kind of stuff. But like yeah, other than that,

[00:16:09] like I know like of wrestling and like but this will be very interesting for me to like kind of

[00:16:13] hear you guys like gush over over wrestling. I've showed you stuff like Gray Wyatt and

[00:16:20] him doing all this creepy shit. Yeah, oh yeah. And I love like that. Like that's like in the

[00:16:25] for the in terms of like new stuff I'm doing in quotes. Like that's that's the kind of thing

[00:16:30] I kind of really like latch on to because weird I like creepy shit and like horror based

[00:16:34] stuff. That's why I bought the when I saw Wrestle Maniac and found that it was like a slasher movie

[00:16:40] with wrestlers like with actually WWE wrestlers and stuff like that in it.

[00:16:45] I was like, yes, I want to see this. Yes.

[00:16:49] I'm pretty sure that was my introduction to Rey Mysterio.

[00:16:52] Was him in Wrestle Mania. Yeah, him or his there's a young there's a Rey Mysterio Jr.

[00:16:57] Or was it? Yeah, I think it was Rey Mysterio Jr. that was in it. But anyway,

[00:17:03] I had Hulk Hogan and all that stuff as a kid. Yeah. So we're gonna start out by picking

[00:17:08] gaming. So I'm just gonna briefly kind of row over these. There's quite a few of them.

[00:17:13] And the in the book they even mentioned that you might want to check the

[00:17:18] author's website, which I don't have his name in front of me at the moment.

[00:17:23] Unfortunately, can you all screw up to top of yours? I made a page I need to be

[00:17:28] there's nothing at the top. Where is it? Okay, I'll find it.

[00:17:34] Oh, for the side. Yeah, the creator of that Nathan D. Peoletta. Peoletta.

[00:17:42] Yeah. So he definitely mentions that you want to check out the website in case they've added any.

[00:17:48] So here's our gimmick. So this is our playbook, so to speak. Now when I sent this file to Dave a

[00:17:54] moment ago and it was broken into three PDFs and about we scared him. Yeah, I was very scared.

[00:18:00] I was very scared. One very true sheet that with 30 pages.

[00:18:05] So we had the ace. So that's the top star of the division, the face of the company,

[00:18:10] the Hulk Hogan kind of wrestler and you can either be a baby face, which is a good guy or a heel,

[00:18:17] which is, you know, the bad guy of any of these kind of classes. So you had the ace,

[00:18:23] the anointed. You're the next big thing. So the up and coming kind of wrestler.

[00:18:30] You have the anti hero, which Steve Austin, for example, you're a badass and everybody loves

[00:18:37] you for it. Nonconformist, you have the call up. So you, you know, put your time in,

[00:18:45] in a smaller promotions and now you're, you know, this is your chance to rise the clown.

[00:18:51] Like there was even a wrestler back in the day called doing the crown, but the entertainer,

[00:18:58] not the most technical one, but the very charismatic kind of,

[00:19:02] you move a lot of merch kind of person like that. There's the fighter. So your Ken Shamrock,

[00:19:08] Brock Lesnar, you do have a legitimate fighting background. The hardcore. So then the cactus shack

[00:19:19] Mick Foley and actually one of the big hardcore guys I think just died recently historically.

[00:19:24] It was Terry Funk. I think I think he died. I may have to double check that if I'm wrong.

[00:19:29] I apologize to the estate or not the estate because it wouldn't be the same if he's alive.

[00:19:36] So hardcore backyard kind of wrestling, the jobber. Basically the guy that is being paid

[00:19:43] to lose all the time. Yeah. You're the guy who is maybe you'll get your break or whatnot,

[00:19:50] but you're in there just to be a body and to get to make somebody else look good.

[00:19:54] It's like when Goldberg was running through people. He was basically just

[00:19:58] beating John Burr's left, right and center. Yeah. Okay. You have the luchador from Mexican

[00:20:04] wrestling. So the very, very acrobatic mask wearing top rope backflip kind of technical wrestler.

[00:20:11] The luminary, which is you started in the ring, but are now legitimate, more famous. So

[00:20:19] for your so wait, John Cena, John Cena of Iraq. Yeah, the Rock. Yeah.

[00:20:24] Yeah. Kind of well, Stone Cold Steve Austin for like a few seconds in fame.

[00:20:30] Yeah. Because he's been in more movies than Hulk Hogan has.

[00:20:33] That's true. Yeah. Yeah. But and then also Hulk Hogan is also kind of similar to that because

[00:20:37] like, yeah, like he was the Hulk Hogan, I guess was actually one of the early ones

[00:20:41] because he was a wrestler and then he was in all those like bad 90s movies.

[00:20:44] Yeah. And a TV series called Paradise, not Paradise Lost, but I mean he was in a

[00:20:50] he was in a TV series as well. And boy has he fallen. We're not even going to get into

[00:20:56] what all Hulk's got into. You can there's a manager. So I think that's pretty much

[00:21:04] separate commentary.

[00:21:06] How would you play as the manager again? Like, would you be doing the wrestling or would you

[00:21:11] just not be? You don't actually compete. It says like so you're the different to all

[00:21:16] the other ones. Yeah. Well, we're creating a roster eventually if we actually did this. So

[00:21:23] you could create a manager and you know, if we they mentioned in the book, three to nine,

[00:21:30] there's actually a mode that you know, three to nine is typically what the game can handle.

[00:21:35] Four to six is kind of the sweet spot of, you know, giving enough diversity so you could

[00:21:41] have somebody actually play as the manager and be doing like supportive stuff from the side of the ring

[00:21:47] kind of thing like that. So we're really, I mean, you're going to be playing your main wrestlers

[00:21:52] and stuff like that, but it's also going to be like some of these other RPG games where you can

[00:21:57] switch roles occasionally. Yeah. Well, you can play it. You can start busy your role playing

[00:22:02] or like as like some of the the NPCs like you're having the players play

[00:22:06] and he's on the sidelines. Yeah, it comes. I mean, you even put roles like the announcer

[00:22:11] and stuff like that. And you know, if something happens to your character,

[00:22:16] you can pretty much like you may sustain a very debilitating injury. You may just have

[00:22:22] to retire them and just pick up one of these other characters in the roster and tell their

[00:22:27] story because it's really, I mean, it's your character story, but it's also the promotion

[00:22:32] story and the analysis. So if I get this right, so like the game is like there's the wrestling

[00:22:39] like in the ring and some of that. And then there's like the drama those like sort of sort of

[00:22:42] sort of poppery drama skits and stuff that they do between game between wrestling and some of

[00:22:48] that like these you kind of see like you see sometimes like in in wrestling from what again

[00:22:53] this is from like an outsider's point of view. It's like like I remember there's the wrestling

[00:22:57] in the ring and then there's like a bunch of this drama stuff that they make for like

[00:23:00] a narrative that goes on between like the rivalries and stuff like that. And like

[00:23:04] stuff like that. Yeah, that's all the stuff that's actually televised. Yeah. Yeah. And then

[00:23:09] there's the actual drama that we play. Yeah. So I mean, one of the most famous ones I can think

[00:23:16] of back in the day is that I can't remember Elizabeth's last name, but she's actually a

[00:23:22] Kentucky girl from Frankfurt. We drove back. Miss Elizabeth. All that. Miss Elizabeth.

[00:23:27] Everyone is from Kentucky. Well, Kentucky was in one of those big

[00:23:33] territories and all that. So like there was like the Ohio Valley territory you had that. So

[00:23:39] I mean, there's pictures and I live in this small community and there's pictures of

[00:23:43] Macho Man Randy Savage wrestling in the elementary school gym from. No, no.

[00:23:48] Yeah. It's just like before he was anybody and stuff. So we had the monster which

[00:23:54] is the Bray Wyatt, the Undertaker, Kane, any of those type of wrestlers. The provocateur,

[00:24:03] weirdo kind of pushing boundaries. I mean, I'm trying to think like I was thinking like

[00:24:11] Al Snow, remember Al Snow from back in the day? Yeah. He had had the man. Right.

[00:24:18] Yeah. And then do you swap them for a mop at some point? I think he did. And the last

[00:24:23] time I saw him, he's living maybe 40 miles from my house. Of course he is. Why wouldn't he be?

[00:24:30] I feel like we should just set this game in Kentucky. It would be a good place for it.

[00:24:35] I was honestly wanting you guys to take control of that kind of thing and showcase Canada.

[00:24:42] I think that would be, I would find that super interesting.

[00:24:46] So we have a couple of Canadian wrestlers like that are more prominent because they're not

[00:24:50] really pushed too much. You could do like all kinds of lumberjack, pipeline.

[00:24:58] Wow. How dare you as I take off my maple syrup coffee? Yeah. I was actually wearing a flannel shirt.

[00:25:10] I was like, Hey, it's only fair. We do kind of sometimes make fun of the Americans.

[00:25:19] Yeah. Of course. Of course. Of course. Make fun of us. It's all good fun. Yeah.

[00:25:24] The provocative here would also be like Godfather who was essentially just up him that came

[00:25:31] the ring with a bunch of hoes as managers. Yeah. That was his gimmick. There was, I mean,

[00:25:39] over the monster. Sorry. Well, I briefly mentioned that the monster and then I gave example. So

[00:25:45] the monster you're big and more muscular than you are like a technical paralysis kind of things

[00:25:51] like that. So just imagine also like Andre the giant. Yeah. I was thinking like under the giant,

[00:25:56] the undertaker, the demon guy that you introduced me to. Very Wyatt. Yeah. Very Wyatt.

[00:26:04] He's a monster technically because he's not super strong. Well, it's not just that because they

[00:26:09] always, they also have a, you may have a supernatural edge or simply be mean either way.

[00:26:13] You make people nervous in and out of the ring. Then yes, 100%. Yeah. And for a buck or two,

[00:26:19] just anybody who is a little bit different and pushing some boundaries. So the Godfather,

[00:26:25] Valvinus maybe. I was trying to think of his name. Yeah. This is just going to be mean,

[00:26:30] Dave talk at Chris. That's fine. Also, it was Miss Elizabeth. Basically just a porn star.

[00:26:35] Yeah. Yeah. You're saying earlier like Elizabeth and Hewlett or Miss Elizabeth was the wrestler from

[00:26:42] Kentucky. Yeah. It's a tragic story. There's, if you, I don't, it may be on your Disney Plus

[00:26:50] because our Hulu is with, has the stuff, but there's a series called behind the wrestling

[00:26:55] that I just find infinitely fascinating. I think I did remember seeing that last time I was on

[00:27:00] Disney Plus. So it's like, I mean we mentioned, and I, we're kind of jumping between real life

[00:27:06] and these characters sheets. That's just our love of the craft here. But like,

[00:27:10] I mean, you're going to find out that what these people do,

[00:27:14] act destroyers can pretty much destroy their life. I mean, like physically they're disabled

[00:27:19] or they get on substance abuse. Like, I think very Wyatt, like we were talking about him.

[00:27:23] Like I maybe imagined it too, but I think that guy just died this year.

[00:27:27] Oh, you're right. He did actually die this, this, like this August.

[00:27:31] Oh, fuck.

[00:27:32] August 24th, 2023. Man, and we also lost the Iron Sheik this year too.

[00:27:36] Yeah. We lost Iron Sheik. So I mean, no.

[00:27:40] How have we not lost Hulk Hogan yet?

[00:27:43] He's more plastic than man, sir.

[00:27:46] Yeah. He's miserable shit.

[00:27:48] If you sit him next to a fire, he's going to just kind of

[00:27:51] will to you.

[00:27:53] Yeah.

[00:27:54] There's the technician.

[00:27:55] That's sad. Because Bray Wyatt was like, again, when Dave introduced me to it,

[00:28:01] like that part of wrestling, I was like, yeah, Bray Wyatt, the demon. I love this.

[00:28:05] And then he's like, no, man.

[00:28:07] Yeah.

[00:28:07] It was really cool what they were doing and they're always kind of pushing the envelope.

[00:28:11] Yeah.

[00:28:12] You have, and I think of a Canadian wrestler is whenever I think of the technician.

[00:28:18] So back in the old days, the heart brothers like Owen and Brett.

[00:28:25] And there's actually a behind of behind the ring kind of a dark side of the ring about that

[00:28:32] and how Vince McMahon screwed over Bret Hart and all that.

[00:28:37] And then there's one whole thing about Owen Hart, which they were,

[00:28:42] he died in the ring.

[00:28:43] Like when they were lowering email repelling him in for a match.

[00:28:46] He died on camera.

[00:28:47] Unfortunately, Jesus, like the live camera.

[00:28:51] The carabiner that was holding him up snapped.

[00:28:57] Yeah.

[00:28:57] I mean, I would not.

[00:28:59] That would be my ex-card.

[00:29:00] I want it to be fun.

[00:29:03] Obviously we're not going to like,

[00:29:05] I like horror in games as much as the next person, but like,

[00:29:08] I also like camp horror too.

[00:29:11] So like, it'll definitely, I'd definitely be playing more

[00:29:14] than like actual, like what happened?

[00:29:18] Our last one we got here is the veteran.

[00:29:21] So, you know, someone who's established been in the game for a long time.

[00:29:25] At a certain point, you can even say I like the undertaker.

[00:29:27] Like I think he's been in and out of retirement many times.

[00:29:30] But yeah.

[00:29:32] So we got these are the ones we're going to be working with.

[00:29:36] And if we're going to take a moment and when we get back to you,

[00:29:40] we're going to have our characters kind of picked out and we're going to take you

[00:29:45] through the character creation process.

[00:29:47] So after much deliberation, we've kind of got our gimmicks picked out and

[00:29:54] I think our names.

[00:29:55] So why don't we go ahead and introduce ourselves?

[00:29:59] Chris, would you like to start us off, buddy?

[00:30:02] Chris.

[00:30:04] Yeah.

[00:30:04] I'm going to choose.

[00:30:06] I've chosen the monster playbook.

[00:30:08] And I'm going to be a wrestler named Hogfish from Pailing from Parts Unknown

[00:30:15] with a weird and mysterious entrance as he just kind of clamors, shambles in,

[00:30:19] like kind of hulking and just like occasionally like muttering, Chris.

[00:30:25] Check your nemesis.

[00:30:27] Yeah.

[00:30:29] Stars.

[00:30:31] Yeah.

[00:30:31] Basically that's how I'm going to play it.

[00:30:32] Like basically this mysterious big like imposing figure and I figure like

[00:30:38] appearance-wise he'll have like a mask or something on.

[00:30:41] It should be a mask of just like a combination of like.

[00:30:45] It looks like it though.

[00:30:46] It looks like it just blends right in.

[00:30:47] It's almost like he just put a hog's head on his head and then like that also has like,

[00:30:53] it's also like very green and scaly and has like gills as well protruding from the sides.

[00:30:59] Oh, I got to hog head from Dr. Sighton.

[00:31:01] It's okay.

[00:31:04] And yeah, it blends in really well with his like his bulging neck muscles.

[00:31:10] Nice.

[00:31:11] And you did mention you were in the monster playbook, right?

[00:31:13] Yeah.

[00:31:14] Yeah.

[00:31:14] Okay.

[00:31:15] Cool.

[00:31:16] Well, how do we, what have we got to counter that off with Dave?

[00:31:21] Probably my character whose name is Chris Cross.

[00:31:25] Chris.

[00:31:27] Cross.

[00:31:29] Chris is good at crossing.

[00:31:31] Probably going to go with the technical maybe.

[00:31:36] I haven't fully nailed that down honestly.

[00:31:41] Technical is like, is that like submission stuff?

[00:31:46] We lost in which one.

[00:31:47] That would be yeah.

[00:31:49] And he's done.

[00:31:50] So yeah, I'll go with the technical playbook and visually,

[00:31:55] Chris Cross' whole gimmick is he wears his stuff backwards.

[00:31:59] Like his pants are on backwards like the back parts of the pants on the front and the front's

[00:32:05] on the back.

[00:32:06] Back when I was a wee boy of who knows back in the 90s, I used to listen to this band called

[00:32:14] Chris Cross and they were two like kids that were probably the age I am that were like

[00:32:21] rapping and their whole thing was they just wore their pants on backwards.

[00:32:24] So I've kind of incorporated that.

[00:32:26] Also, I hate to say that.

[00:32:26] Do they make you jump often?

[00:32:28] Yeah.

[00:32:28] Yeah.

[00:32:29] Yeah.

[00:32:31] How do you know them?

[00:32:34] The glee in Dave's voice.

[00:32:37] No one knows them.

[00:32:39] Also, Dave, I just got to say like as part of your like your character, like from where

[00:32:44] they're from, they should definitely be from Dildo in Newfoundland because

[00:32:47] Why does it always have to be Dildo?

[00:32:48] Because of like our working themes and stuff like like connecting things and stuff.

[00:32:54] But like Newfoundland specifically because in Newfoundland, there is a common like folklore

[00:32:59] tradition to wear your jacket or clothes backwards to confuse the fairies if they

[00:33:04] start feeling like weird when you're walking through the woods.

[00:33:06] Yeah.

[00:33:06] No, that's actually what in fairy folklore.

[00:33:09] That's what you're supposed to do if you start feeling like you're being

[00:33:11] influenced by the fairies or like goblins and shit.

[00:33:14] Is that you're supposed to put your like clothes on backwards like flip your

[00:33:17] flip your jacket inside out because it confuses the fairies into not fucking with you.

[00:33:24] Nice.

[00:33:24] Okay, well mine's nice from Dildo then I guess.

[00:33:27] Doing it again.

[00:33:29] Healing from Dildo Newfoundland.

[00:33:31] The best place in the world.

[00:33:33] And you know what?

[00:33:34] Considering he makes you jump, I'll probably be a luchador.

[00:33:37] It makes sense.

[00:33:39] A new fi- a new fi- luchador!

[00:33:41] Yeah, a new fedora.

[00:33:43] Get over it.

[00:33:50] I like, I like that.

[00:33:51] Oh my god.

[00:33:52] As for Canada, I got Canada.

[00:33:55] Yeah, I guess I don't know.

[00:33:56] I was gonna put the hogfish in Ontario but if we want this pentagram thing,

[00:34:00] I feel like it's got he's got to be like somewhere in like Saskatchewan now.

[00:34:05] Or I could be over there.

[00:34:06] I don't care.

[00:34:07] I don't have-

[00:34:07] Oh no, maybe well he's parts unknown.

[00:34:09] It makes sense on the backers though.

[00:34:10] Yeah, he's he's parts unknown so maybe he's just like yeah somewhere out in

[00:34:13] the western part of Canada.

[00:34:14] Parts unknown.

[00:34:14] Yeah, it just has a big circle over there somewhere.

[00:34:17] Just a question mark.

[00:34:18] For there, yeah.

[00:34:19] In the fairies.

[00:34:20] Yep.

[00:34:21] I love it.

[00:34:22] Awesome.

[00:34:24] So, I'm having trouble with my character sheet because I started typing my name in it.

[00:34:28] It's like size 38 font.

[00:34:30] Yeah, I just did that too.

[00:34:31] Isn't that where you're supposed to be putting all of your descriptors?

[00:34:34] Oh is that- I thought that was where your name was.

[00:34:36] It's just like hogfish.

[00:34:37] Well, I think we're gonna have to go back.

[00:34:42] I might take like a google doc and just make it that way but-

[00:34:45] Yeah, I'm just gonna use a text file for now.

[00:34:47] Yeah.

[00:34:48] Okay.

[00:34:49] So, I am going to be playing,

[00:34:53] sticking with this being you know 2020 year of our Lord and now my character names are based on

[00:34:57] country music.

[00:34:59] For some reason I decided that back in January and by God I'm almost through the year so I'm

[00:35:03] gonna keep this going for another two months.

[00:35:05] So, I am going to be playing Brocephus which is a play on the nickname for Hank Williams

[00:35:12] Jr who is Bocephus.

[00:35:14] So, Brocephus was a name like Bro.

[00:35:17] I am going to be a frat boy kind of but I'm also gonna be the worst kind of frat boy.

[00:35:24] Are you familiar with like, like pop country?

[00:35:29] I think they call it like Bro country?

[00:35:31] Chris?

[00:35:32] Yeah.

[00:35:33] All right so I'm gonna be- that's gonna be my whole gimmick.

[00:35:36] I'm a- I've got that college frat boy but I'm a wannabe musician and I'm saying in all

[00:35:41] these heavily produced pop songs that are being passed off as a country music genre kind of

[00:35:46] deal like that and I am going to be from the made up town of Awesome Valley, Tennessee.

[00:35:56] Okay.

[00:35:58] Sounds like an awesome place.

[00:35:59] Yeah so well I'm- they've got a bunch of weird names.

[00:36:03] Almost awesome.

[00:36:05] I mean there was a place in Kentucky that's literally called Hell for Certain

[00:36:09] but I was very tempted to do that but-

[00:36:12] You could have even had them like from Blackwoods.

[00:36:15] Yeah Blackwoods my fictional Kentucky town.

[00:36:17] Yeah.

[00:36:17] Right.

[00:36:18] Well let's make it Blackwoods Kentucky then and we're- according to the book we're also kind

[00:36:23] of supposed to be at this point we're gonna be- we're gonna kind of do a reverse

[00:36:27] serpentine order as this goes so after we choose our healing from- oh I didn't

[00:36:33] describe what I look like.

[00:36:36] Tight wranglers, butt-dump shirt, short sleeves, rolled up a little bit, crappy tattoos on his arms,

[00:36:46] designer clothes basically you know the closest he's wanting to be country but the closest he's

[00:36:51] been to he's been to a cow is when he stopped at a dairy queen and got a hamburger.

[00:36:57] Kind of kind of deal like that so just imagine any douchebag then that's pretty much what

[00:37:03] look I'm going for now we're gonna have to do it we pick our entrance.

[00:37:09] I think I'm gonna take- did you watch Tiger King any of you guys on Netflix?

[00:37:13] A little like bits and pieces not like full episodes sorry.

[00:37:17] I don't have Netflix.

[00:37:18] So I am just gonna basically have my character walk to the ring playing a guitar

[00:37:24] and singing into one of those lapel mics kind of deal like that so he'll sing

[00:37:28] songs every time he walks down the ring.

[00:37:31] Much to the booing of the audience.

[00:37:33] Yeah, yeah that's important.

[00:37:34] What about heel and face should we even said that?

[00:37:36] Oh yeah I guess I'll say that later.

[00:37:37] Yeah are you- I'm sorry Adam you kind of created a heel I think.

[00:37:42] I need a heel yeah and yeah but it's it's it we're going by if you're following the book

[00:37:48] at home folks the second edition of World Wide Wrestling where I'm like page 17

[00:37:53] so we've came up with our name Argemic uh if we went ahead picked where we're from

[00:38:02] it doesn't mention anything about heel or we maybe jumping the gun a bit.

[00:38:06] We it's a little bit of a heel yeah although I so I feel like because I feel like Hogfish is also

[00:38:12] probably a heel so is is Chris Cross gonna be the the the hero of the baby face?

[00:38:18] Maybe also like like for example Kane yeah he's a face he's not a heel technically

[00:38:24] like oh okay face and heel isn't good and bad it's does do the fans like you

[00:38:30] do they cheer you or boo you?

[00:38:32] Oh okay that's what that is okay so they could absolutely love how fucked up you are.

[00:38:37] They could they could absolutely love Hogfish like Hogfish or Hogfish Hogfish Hogfish yeah

[00:38:45] I get you no no not to like push something on your character uh Adam but like I do

[00:38:50] no you just ride your character you're just like yeah that's definitely feels like a heel.

[00:38:55] Yeah it's like so yeah it's pretty much do they love you or do they love to hate you?

[00:39:01] Kind of the kind of thing you're going for.

[00:39:03] So what is Hogfish coming to the ring?

[00:39:07] What's their interest gonna be like?

[00:39:09] I definitely think it'd be weird and mysterious so just like kind of like it just there's just

[00:39:13] like ominous music or like ominous like ambient music playing and like with some sounds of like

[00:39:19] a marsh and then just like out of like a fog and like a little bit of a green light show

[00:39:25] from the entrance he just kind of like comes stalking in just like mumbling

[00:39:29] Chris Chris and just like his like hands are like like he's like stalk like skulking in like

[00:39:37] like like and stomping and just like slowly walking to the ring just like no not looking

[00:39:42] at any of the crowd or anything just looking like the only thing he sees is the ring

[00:39:47] and where he's going to break his next opponent.

[00:39:51] Now what kind of guitar company man is it gonna be heavy or do you want to go

[00:39:54] you want something like that bayou kind of I think it's got to be like bayou metal

[00:39:59] like bayou death metal steel guitar yeah with some with some with some banjos yeah

[00:40:07] that's kind of like if like yeah like I meant yeah definitely like some kind of like

[00:40:11] swamp rock or like some kind of like swamp metal so what about what about our new fedora

[00:40:18] new fedora that's me

[00:40:20] damn it I forgot

[00:40:23] oh fuck yeah bud that's totally how he talks to me

[00:40:27] he's like oh fuck yeah yeah like everybody's cheering he's like oh like you're all looking

[00:40:31] at you get you hop on hop into the uh onto the onto the entrance and just like oh fuck bud

[00:40:38] yeah in the behind the scenes of like oh yeah I'm gonna jump on I'm gonna just keep

[00:40:42] fucking feeding him right in the face you know

[00:40:47] do you have a dip a chew tobacco in your mouth while doing this is your is your lower lip extended

[00:40:53] like about about an inch maybe a little bit or should I should I went metric on that since

[00:40:59] yes sir yes sure how many centimeters is that

[00:41:02] 2.5 centimeters I believe is an inch yeah but yeah either way uh for Chris Cross he's

[00:41:09] probably like super energetic like very opposite to uh hardfish where like he

[00:41:15] he might do like a ramester situation where he like hops out from a random like when

[00:41:20] ramastero enters he there's like a section of the floor that he jumps out of like when there's

[00:41:26] smoke there but for Chris Cross he just kind of jumps out randomly somewhere in the arena

[00:41:31] like he's just hiding somewhere and he just jumps out and then runs to the ring

[00:41:36] if you so like he could just hop it's a little bit of an edge situation too he could just show up

[00:41:40] in the middle of the crowd and just run down the uh like the stairs to the ring and hop in

[00:41:46] but he jumps out somewhere on the uh like on the normal entry stage when he runs down the ramp

[00:41:52] he does not run the straight line it's always in a zigzag or a Chris Cross sort of pattern

[00:41:56] yeah also I I just imagine like it's like and our next our next opponent and like the

[00:42:01] crowd's like looking around like where's he gonna pop out of is like like there's like music

[00:42:05] like some kind of music playing and just like and then you just hear over the speakers all

[00:42:08] fuckbot and then you just pop out of somewhere it's like you're

[00:42:16] that day forgot about how the music starts yeah I got it's like it's like the iconic like glass

[00:42:24] break of stone was awesome but it's all fuckbot

[00:42:27] yeah

[00:42:31] his music is probably like it's probably like energetic like new metal or power metal sort of thing

[00:42:36] new metal new metal yeah some new metal yeah uh is new land metal a thing it's gonna be now

[00:42:44] yeah drop your tuning I can sit there and record you new metal on my guitar

[00:42:50] hello so hey Dave what's the Vegas eyes at Chris that

[00:42:54] search working on these intro songs and like we're gonna have to do this now

[00:42:58] it's gonna at this point this is happening yeah also there are newfoundland metal artists

[00:43:05] we have potato bug bung gearbox mucket truck um pheron

[00:43:13] I think we're going to yeah all right yeah we're getting a little bit yeah anyway what I wouldn't

[00:43:19] you asked I did ask but then I was like shut up so that was very nice of me but I do want to kind of

[00:43:24] mention this real quick and this is the fun about doing these row ups Dave is like we actually

[00:43:29] ran a game last night that started as a row up yeah but I mean we're getting a succession

[00:43:35] zero possibly for the game that never happened but I mean this seems like it's kind of a real

[00:43:40] thing and this may be even something that would be fun to do another cross podcast promotion

[00:43:45] to where you know one last die is doing stuff in an rpx and we could probably get another group

[00:43:51] of our friends to do it and stuff like that so we could probably you know share creativity with

[00:43:57] it and then just do another bunch of like you know special guests kind of thing I just

[00:44:02] we if we could get if we could just get Aaron to like do online games again we could have

[00:44:08] a punch wizard

[00:44:09] the punch wizard

[00:44:13] well like look he can have magic a muscle wizard yeah they've done some like questionably

[00:44:21] real shit with magic no I know I don't like again like like the deep again like bray Wyatt was like

[00:44:26] is his shit like like he has like his skits are like is he actually like a demon that's

[00:44:31] possessing this right dude or something or yeah yeah and like back in the day when

[00:44:37] kayfabe was huge kayfabe is basically like people believe that this is real yeah um where it's not

[00:44:43] like a bit or whatever people were like terrified of the undertaker yeah I do remember that yeah

[00:44:49] but like it's it shoots to like the camera changes to like children in the audience and

[00:44:53] they're like uh like literally scared of this guy well I remember he like he popped up in a

[00:44:59] couple of like tv shows um like like horror tv shows like goosebumps or um iri indiana I think

[00:45:06] or something like that where like he like came out at like he was like summoned like a demon so yeah

[00:45:12] well and kane had movies like he was in movies yeah the the no or was it uh kane no evil kathing

[00:45:19] or like uh was it like no evil or something yeah I think that's what it was yeah now he's a

[00:45:24] mayor of uh noxial tenses yeah weird right man I want you all to go ahead uh look down

[00:45:33] beneath the the healing from interest part go ahead and throw your stats in so they're right

[00:45:37] there so you get mine like athletic wrestling feet I'm horrible I'm negative too uh my look

[00:45:46] is my main stat so it's a plus one real which uh you know you can level up and get

[00:45:54] advancements or all these things up but mine zero and my work or my actual wrestling

[00:46:00] is a negative um is negative one I get to add plus one to any stat so

[00:46:07] would advise you guys consider wrestling to boost up because you you will accumulate the

[00:46:13] injuries as you go so once you get these numbers there's also the section on the back that you're

[00:46:18] going to put these same numbers in too so uh so you know go ahead and fill in your stats

[00:46:24] and then we'll and make sure you get the back part of it as well I love how the monster has

[00:46:29] minus two to real so uh and real is like breaking kfabe and like work real stiff yeah like I love

[00:46:38] how like that it's just like yeah minus two because you're not breaking kfabe like you

[00:46:43] like this character may or may not be real really just like a mutant fish hog man isn't

[00:46:49] taking negatives on real making it easier to break kfabe kfabe oh I well when you break kfabe

[00:46:56] it breaks the magic in the ring too so if you do a move this real then you're gonna add the

[00:47:03] negative modifier or whatnot to it so you're rolling 2d6 with a power by the apocalypse game

[00:47:09] I thought it was like like it is a negative to break like you have to actually if you're

[00:47:12] trying to break out of this like roll like that's what you'd roll for this for real

[00:47:17] I don't know yeah well I mean it's what it says break kfabe work on real stuff

[00:47:22] yeah so that's why that's why I was thinking like why I have a minus two because I can't

[00:47:26] I have a hard time breaking out of my kfabe yeah like breaking out of my my alter ego or whatever

[00:47:33] and I'm yeah that sorry no it could very well be that and that's also the section I see

[00:47:38] is like choose if you're a heel or uh baby face so baby face being a hero looks like we also

[00:47:46] start with plus one heat with wrestlers in the opposite row so I mean I guess we got plus one

[00:47:54] heat against you of new fee and then well or wait or hold on yeah your name is crisscross right yeah

[00:48:02] yeah also I'm gonna go probably baby face for hog fish I'm going tech niso which is which is a

[00:48:11] face because on luchador one it's tech niso enrudo nice for hero or villain is what's

[00:48:18] referred to yeah because I think their whole thing is they're superheroes like it's not yeah yeah

[00:48:23] dealing face you're a hero or a villain well that's the thing of like what that's what luchadors

[00:48:28] are in in mexico is like they are the superheroes of like and have been for like generations

[00:48:34] like that's like that like in america and north of in like upper north america and some of that

[00:48:39] they had we had like superman and batman and like the superheroes and some of that for like

[00:48:44] kids and stuff to look up to down in mexico they had luchadors and like uh what's that what's

[00:48:49] a famous one down there that like fought like dracula and satan and like fought on the side of

[00:48:55] jesus um not sit out is it santano or santana oh my god that's so close it's it's like it's uh

[00:49:04] because he's like because it's basically literally I think it literally means like saint right like

[00:49:08] um santos el santo el santo you know I think it's I thought it was alcantos but maybe it's alcanto

[00:49:16] alcanto is what I see from a google search yeah you're right it is alcanto that's that was the

[00:49:20] luchador we're in english to the saint yeah alcanto because he'd like fight dracula and like

[00:49:25] frankenstein and uh the mummy like he fought zombies like there was a whole hell there's a

[00:49:32] whole hellboy volume where hellboy uh it's called hellboy in mexico and it's like his the couple of

[00:49:38] years where he just like was was in a was in a rut and went down to mexico for a few years and just

[00:49:44] got pissed drunk and fought vampire monsters and other eldritch things with a trio of of of luchador

[00:49:50] brothers that's pretty awesome yeah i think they called him el dia i think his like his luchador

[00:49:56] character was eldiablo hellboy luchador one option that i had for a name before recording before

[00:50:05] settling in crisscross was loco gringo as like i was just a white guy but like some crazy white guy

[00:50:13] that's a luchador but they just kind of accepted me fish or hog face hog fish yeah okay hog fish

[00:50:21] crisscross is felt like the band kris s k r o s s one s on both oh we want to make it individual and

[00:50:29] distinct yeah exactly so people google crisscross it's actually legally distinct yeah exactly i want to

[00:50:37] put x's in there but i don't know how that would work because it'd be wouldn't look right oh what about

[00:50:42] kris x cross kris x cross yeah like the x is silent but it's there in the logo

[00:50:51] yeah like it's kris cross but like whenever you write it there's an x between kris and cross

[00:50:57] kris x cross yeah yeah or krix crocs this would be with just x this oh god vortia vortia

[00:51:06] of the vortia luchador just krix crocs snaps next constantly

[00:51:13] what is your are you a baby face as well hog fish yes yeah i'm gonna go with the people

[00:51:18] for some reason like i'm very like scary in a to me but people love me yeah well it's basically like

[00:51:25] your actions like are you basically fucking with the people that everyone hates or you

[00:51:31] fucking with people that everyone likes i mean you're you're like or hate you kris kris cross is my rival

[00:51:37] so of course um but like i don't know if like it's sort of like i don't know like it's sort of like

[00:51:43] the same kind of relationship that like jason vorhees and like had with like freddy kruger in

[00:51:47] like freddy versus jason is what i kind of like see yeah like he's not he doesn't really talk

[00:51:53] like um but he just like he like but he just like fights you he just wants to like end you

[00:52:00] yes so i don't know would that be would that be healer baby face uh oh no it's basically you're

[00:52:06] still going to be the lesser evil if you're going up against me so you yeah yeah that's yeah

[00:52:11] then you come in and just like everyone's like yeah help me kill him just beat him now there

[00:52:17] are other questions so there's like many powered by the apocalypse games there's gonna be there's

[00:52:22] gonna be a section where we go we sit down and talk about our relationships and whatnot so

[00:52:29] yeah you'll have your opportunity to uh more or less set up the uh rivalry and then you can get

[00:52:36] additional heat against people but like just by default that's what we're worried about right

[00:52:40] just second so i'm so glad that you guys are getting kind of excited about this oh yeah

[00:52:47] all fuck but oh fuck but oh fuck yeah bud i mean we'll get we'll get ham and break out his old

[00:52:53] wrestling one that he had called dom somsky that was a a lot to her uh wrestler nice

[00:53:01] uh okay so looks like we've got all this done now we have we need to pick a one from the list provided

[00:53:11] and pick moves that are available in addition to our starting moves on the check sheet so that's

[00:53:16] what we're gonna do so i think we could do one of these on camera right now and then we can kind

[00:53:23] of work with the rest here so pick a desire pick the desire that drives you most when you have a

[00:53:30] match that satisfies your want take advantage and pick a new one so hmm the option i don't know

[00:53:39] what if you guys got the same thing we may have all the same so options i have is you want a

[00:53:44] championship title yeah join a group revenge yep domination yeah uh so revenge domination

[00:53:56] adulation of the crowd and bringing bringing an opponent into your world okay the last one's

[00:54:03] different for me yeah same for me mine's achieving impossible feet mine is unmasked my nemesis

[00:54:08] that makes sense for a loo shore honestly like yeah and who's my nemesis right now

[00:54:16] he's trying to take his mask off it doesn't come off it's his face yeah yeah that's gonna be the

[00:54:20] funny thing is like when you try to get off like it doesn't come off like oh why is it this coming off

[00:54:26] there's that he was chris all along he just saved his own name over and over again yeah yeah

[00:54:32] my character's name was actually chris until i had a an unfortunate mutation accident or

[00:54:36] something like that that like turned to be into hogfish yeah then we become best friends and we

[00:54:40] tag team as chris chris god damn it east me it's west the north i think he could taste like we're

[00:54:51] speaking i'm i want a championship title okay that's fair i kind of want i'm kind of type torn

[00:54:57] between revenge and domination just because like putting the whole like right like like is like

[00:55:02] revenge for some reason against crisscross or like i don't know what do you find out yeah that's

[00:55:09] something that we can do in the narrative domination be just like beating the shit out of everyone

[00:55:13] i feel like that would probably also be something that fish fish hog would want is like domination

[00:55:18] of the ring yeah hogfish yeah wow she's like championship title is like do you want the

[00:55:24] belt no you just want to beat the shit out of everybody because you're a lot exactly yeah

[00:55:28] like that's that's all that hogfish wants in life yes hogfish simple man hogfish what is best in life

[00:55:38] crush your enemies to see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of the women

[00:55:43] chris yeah chris is that pokemon is he just gonna say chris yeah basically

[00:55:51] all right i'm i'm i'm putting in domination for that one okay he just wants he's here to fight

[00:55:59] what does chris want oh i'm not i'm i'm asking my nemesis i wasn't joking

[00:56:05] yeah and that's yeah that works perfectly because that is like you're like like this this this

[00:56:10] man has a he's even more authentic mass deny oh fuck fine i gotta have to work on the canadian

[00:56:18] accent yeah i totally don't have one and what's that about okay looks like uh we're pretty much

[00:56:25] ready to look at our moves but the moves are actually going to be on the uh second page

[00:56:30] yeah did we do heat already did he did i was actually at the very end because that that's

[00:56:34] really like freaking out like you got a plus one with me yeah but when we answer those questions

[00:56:39] we're gonna go back to this from park yeah okay yeah for like uh you know how like that we had

[00:56:45] bonds in like monster of the monster of the week and stuff yeah heat is basically what bonds are

[00:56:50] in this okay like they've been flavored as as heat so um all right on to yeah the moves

[00:56:58] though and it also and it's going to i noticed here too so when you get for heat we get an extra

[00:57:04] plus one audience oh yeah and but if we don't cross heat then i mean if you don't cross someone

[00:57:09] in an episode you're gonna get a minus heat and it's eventually gonna die down so it's building

[00:57:14] in mechanically that in every game that you do that you guys are playing you're gonna have to

[00:57:18] fuck with one another yeah so you know it builds in drama i i i think i've already figured out my two

[00:57:27] to be honest all right all right so you get your basic and i think everybody gets a finishing

[00:57:32] move so yeah the fun thing now you can break this by the way so whenever you're wrestling

[00:57:40] midway through the person who's running is creative decides who wins now you can break that

[00:57:47] and go ahead and make yourself win anyway but it's just like this is what vince McMahon wants kind of

[00:57:52] thing like that so uh the basic one that i got is a finishing move i think everybody's got that

[00:57:59] so when you're booked to win a match you rope plus 2d6 so on a 10 plus you hit your

[00:58:05] finish you're clean and you can choose whether you or your opponent gains audience so you know

[00:58:11] you guys are working in and out of the ring together on a seven to nine you get like mid

[00:58:16] successes and then you botch it for anything six and below so uh you i think you guys got that

[00:58:24] too you can come up with a name of your finisher i see no place to uh to write that down

[00:58:31] right the moment but yeah and then you can describe it it's one of these things like when you

[00:58:36] when it actually hits play we hit play and we actually do this you can know i call them

[00:58:42] hogfish's new move is the the noodle or whatever i don't know the puddle jumper

[00:58:51] just like just cry or the belly flop

[00:58:55] it's just it's gonna be it's gonna be swimming terms interesting yeah uh so what what were your

[00:59:03] moves like well what did you get an option to pick and what did you go for so you get to

[00:59:08] uh chris the player not chris the character yeah all right so for the monster i had the choice

[00:59:16] of prodigious size you're just plain enormous take plus one to body uh surprising agile

[00:59:23] surprising agility your light on your feet and capable of more than people

[00:59:27] uh uh capable of more than people think take plus one to work uh intimidating when you are not in the

[00:59:34] ring roll plus body instead of plus look anytime you can bring your imposing size to bear on the

[00:59:40] situation um then we have not of this world pick or create a signature match stipulation

[00:59:46] that showcases your wrestling persona by changing the physical environment of the of the match

[00:59:53] you can add this stipulation to one match per episode even if the match already has one

[01:00:00] start the match with plus one momentum uh and then i have a shoot kill when you really go

[01:00:08] after someone in or out of the ring you can roll plus body instead of any other stat if the fact

[01:00:16] that you'll that you are larger and stronger is appropriate into the situation on a botch

[01:00:21] you injure them in addition to any other consequences this applies to break kfabe

[01:00:29] play politics work real stuff and similar moves um so honestly looking at it i am going to choose

[01:00:36] intimidating and not of this world to kind of continue with my like kind of in the hogfish

[01:00:45] inhuman like creature thing feature capping

[01:00:50] yeah so that's what i'm going with and all right yeah what is uh christa character want

[01:00:59] i'm starting to regret no no it's fine it's fine adam can can deal with it yeah yeah i did it for

[01:01:07] the pun i apologize either way um first one is a amazing athleticism you make jaws drop with

[01:01:13] your astounding moves take plus one work for example um and then the second one um hovering

[01:01:20] between a couple one of them being uh um traditional or traditional it's spelt weird anyway um you refuse

[01:01:29] to be seen without your mask whenever your mask is at risk of being removed roll plus work if it's

[01:01:33] your choice or roll plus real if it's someone else's gain plus one heat with your foe and on

[01:01:39] a 10 plus pick two on a seven or nine pick one yeah i think that is actually a very like that's a

[01:01:44] very important thing with loot shores because like if their your mask is removed like it is

[01:01:47] like a great shame yeah pretty much weirdly enough i know a little bit more about loot shores i think

[01:01:53] that i do know about like an actual like like like american wrestling that is weird

[01:02:00] yeah on a 10 plus i i booked the next match of feud you cover your face in time and flee

[01:02:06] someone comes to your aid in time soft share i'm masking on a bot you lose negative one audience

[01:02:11] as your mystique is in post i have but is that two of them that is two of them yes okay cool i was

[01:02:19] just trying making sure i was keeping track i didn't want to just whoa i do have a question though

[01:02:24] because um another one is in regards to tag team wrestling that really wouldn't work well with a

[01:02:30] small group right or let me tagging with an npc basically well we can arrange things see i'll

[01:02:36] small group like you said that the sweet spot four to six um but we can you also have you know the

[01:02:44] creative can we could have a another roster tag team and then you know it could be you too against

[01:02:50] basically the creative player yeah so i mean we can we can work with it it's like tag team stuff

[01:02:57] isn't a primary focus in wrestling as well i mean they do have the matches and all but it's not

[01:03:03] oops all tag team yep so question in regards to the stat of audience what does that actually do

[01:03:10] so okay yeah go ahead i think audience is basically like experience in this game

[01:03:16] yeah this is how you'd how you advance as a character oh okay yeah so as you get more audience

[01:03:22] you'll be able to whenever you level up quote unquote you can choose new moves and stuff like

[01:03:26] that yeah yeah and then you've got your advances so um when your audience falls to zero the first

[01:03:35] time in episode do you take the top spot like you get advancements for doing certain other things and

[01:03:40] then um you know you can buy new gimmicks uh get a valet a new move like just lots of stuff

[01:03:49] and eventually if you wanted to retire them and make them something else before i let you finish

[01:03:54] the last one of the moves looks like it's a complete writing can you just do a custom one yeah yeah

[01:04:00] oh yeah there's actually holds that balance though well i mean it would be a comfy yeah

[01:04:06] there'd be like a conversation between like the rest of the players or the gm and the player

[01:04:10] that's doing it it's kind of thing and i think there was one taking a move out of another

[01:04:15] yeah pick another move from uh from another from another uh be gimmick yeah yeah another move

[01:04:23] from this gimmick from this gimmick i thought you could pick one from another big gimmick

[01:04:28] it might be certain ones can do that but not all of them yeah maybe right in i don't know it seems

[01:04:34] like a little bit different than other powered by the apocalypse usually you can like pull moves

[01:04:38] from whatever yes let's pick another move from this gimmick or any other including a move that

[01:04:43] increases the stat yeah so yeah you could pencil it in i mean trust me this character

[01:04:50] sheet fills up quick yeah so it may work a google doc maybe where it needs to be

[01:04:56] yes one keeps going so mine is like where i picked the less the least wrestler of all of them

[01:05:04] i can be strangely captivating so i can look instead of real when i'm so focused on a segment

[01:05:10] show sopper i can appear in any segment and turn it into something about me and when you make

[01:05:17] an appearance declare your agenda for this segment and continue from there and if you try if you all

[01:05:23] try to interrupt me you're breaking kayfabe nice uh which i kind of like the show sopper

[01:05:31] and then there's the mind uh mind game so you engage in bizarre outlandish mysterious

[01:05:37] behavior looks like someone out and i wrote a look so i think i'll take that so do we have a

[01:05:44] bruiser a very very dexterous guy and then a top and then a face kind of character and an asshole yeah

[01:05:53] okay mark their starting audience score by checking the box next to the number indicated

[01:05:59] by this gimmick all right so there's our audience i'm looking forward i thought it was on the same

[01:06:06] page um you started i get i started a plus two sir what was that no it's in the purple box sir

[01:06:15] it should tell you what your audience starts as oh okay yeah oh yeah you start and reset to audience

[01:06:21] plus one yeah i have a star beside it yeah okay cool that was easy yeah and we need to kind of

[01:06:29] look and clarify audience versus momentum yeah i think momentum something that you can spend in ring

[01:06:38] all right so we marked it um and then take a token to represent their starting momentum

[01:06:46] as per audience score take a token okay so i guess that's like busy we we get like some kind of

[01:06:52] like counter or tokens for like yeah that we can like have trade in and stuff like that yeah i

[01:06:58] think they mentioned like poker chips and stuff like that so it's kind of like momentum in other

[01:07:03] power of the apocalypse games it's kind of like um momentum is kind of like holds or um like a bonus

[01:07:10] to something coming up yeah yeah yeah it's it's slightly different from like like his audience

[01:07:17] is like audience isn't exactly karma or like uh or um uh an experience point but it's also

[01:07:23] kind of is because like it seems like you can lose experience you can lose audience like during

[01:07:29] during play yes and but but if you get up to like five or like the top spot then you can actually

[01:07:35] take an advancement kind of like how experience works in in monster of the week but yeah i see that

[01:07:41] we did as i go through a checklist on page 17 i do see that we kind of jumped the the shark so

[01:07:47] to speak with going ahead and picking out our our rows but we already discussed it so we're

[01:07:52] actually going to move on the page uh 18 so we're in the uh in the home stretch here okay this is where

[01:08:00] we're going to kind of discuss everything with it so i'm actually going to go read straight from

[01:08:05] the book here hope this isn't by lightning any kind of copyright stuff here so once everyone

[01:08:10] makes their initial choice for wrestlers it's time to build the heat heat represents the

[01:08:16] reaction of the imaginary viewing audience to see in two wrestlers interact ranging from zero no

[01:08:22] heat to plus four the crowd goes wild every time they face off all the players wrestlers start with

[01:08:29] heat with each other wrestlers can also gain heat with non-player wrestlers during play

[01:08:36] play as well so the the generics we're going to create later on yeah all the players write down

[01:08:42] the other wrestlers name on a sheet then pick one player to start the first prayer looks at the

[01:08:49] heat questions uh for their gimmick picks one and asks the table any one other player volunteers

[01:08:58] to answer the question and asking player as plus one so i'm going to ask the question

[01:09:04] whoever says it we're going to gain plus one we repeat this time number to the a number of

[01:09:11] times it equals the players at the table so we can only go three does it once or one person

[01:09:18] does it three times or would it be like with three people would you be doing it twice i think

[01:09:24] you if three people be doing it two times i think because you don't you're not unless you have

[01:09:29] heat with yourself i mean potentially i mean that would be a different angle and then after

[01:09:37] we get all these kind of picked out as heat questions are answered talk out the backstory

[01:09:41] or relationship implied by the questions this creates a shared history of the wrestlers as you

[01:09:47] meet them for the first time if a question doesn't fit your concept for wrestler throw it out

[01:09:55] out there anyway and see if someone else sees potential in it wrestlers often have complicated

[01:10:00] back stories hog fish or segments of their career that don't quite match up with the current character

[01:10:09] and we don't need to worry about the answer more than five during this process keep your own notes

[01:10:15] on a dynamic created by the heat questions as they are answered this is great resource for

[01:10:21] looking at booking you know somewhere picking matches and whatnot and then use the base

[01:10:28] for future storylines so yeah we're basically coming up with her plot line so you know we'll

[01:10:34] have to mend this if other people join obviously yeah but and then we already did it at the tail end

[01:10:42] we did this one right here uh once players have asked and answered the heat question everyone

[01:10:47] decides they're starting as a baby face or a heel every wrestler starting as a heel takes a plus

[01:10:52] one with every baby face and vice versa often players already have decided before this point

[01:11:00] but this is the time to make a final decision for anyone who hasn't yet okay so let's look at

[01:11:08] her questions okay so you want me to start or yeah you have this i'll go ahead and throw mine

[01:11:17] out there first yeah all right yeah who saw potential in me to excel at being such an odd ball

[01:11:24] well you guys need to volunteer for that if you want i'd say me yeah i think i think you're

[01:11:30] probably better for that one yeah all right i appreciate your your music even though i don't

[01:11:36] like it all right because i might still sing my own entrance theme all right so that gives me a

[01:11:43] plus two with you all right so let's go around the table anybody got a question um who is legitimately

[01:11:53] terrified of me i'm willing to say it's me because i have no wrestling ability whatsoever

[01:11:59] okay yeah hog fish

[01:12:04] chris what's uh bro see fish oh yes what's your character name bro bro bro see this bro see fish

[01:12:22] all right so we'll be a tag team how do you spell bro see fist i have no idea

[01:12:29] i just i just spelled it like this bro space capital C dash capital F is t like bro fist bro see

[01:12:38] fist right so yeah i almost had it right okay what was it so both see this is boce p h us so minus

[01:12:48] bro c e p h us c e sorry one word it's all the bro c e p h us us okay bro see fist okay i am the

[01:13:02] florida george alive of wrestling okay i'm just gonna i'm just gonna add it like in in brackets bro

[01:13:07] see fish because that's how my character says your name i i could go with it should you mispronounce

[01:13:14] everyone's names to have it either be fish or hog related yeah except for yours because like chris

[01:13:22] yeah chris fish chris fish yeah fish cross all right uh dave what about you what do you got uh

[01:13:35] i'm not sure which one would suit anyone specifically should i just pick one or should

[01:13:39] i read all of the net pick one i mean we can make one that's kind of the creative nature of it

[01:13:44] yeah okay uh who is trying to convince me to change my style my mask or both who doesn't

[01:13:50] like that i'm wearing backwards pants hog fish that's your whole reason to come out i'm actually

[01:13:59] a creature of fey that just really hates what you're doing it's it's very taboo to my culture

[01:14:05] it's your very ocd oddly enough yeah that is my entire yeah i kind of like that like that's

[01:14:16] that's what i'm why like i hate you it's just like it's just like i'm actually like some kind

[01:14:21] of like mad like creature of like uh from like a fey wilds and just like i really really hate

[01:14:28] that you're you're crisscrossing your shit you know

[01:14:34] okay looks like we're back to me so this is moving pretty good uh hmm let's go ahead and get the

[01:14:41] negative stuff out of the way uh who thinks i'm all smoke and no fire hog fish yeah i totally go with

[01:14:51] that yeah it kind of makes more sense i just i was like i was like i'm like i just don't give anything

[01:14:56] but your shit you just saying found a tower of music at hog fish and even suit the hawk in the comics

[01:15:05] i'm going very like salam and grunty like i'm channeling salam and grunty in a way

[01:15:09] i mean that works salam and grunty or none of money so so hog fish why don't you go ahead

[01:15:16] what's your next one um who can stand up to me in the ring

[01:15:22] hell yeah oh fuck yeah but yeah yeah it was like not i said a brown cow so chris x cross

[01:15:33] okay okay one of these is like basically the same thing as my other one um so i don't know if i'd

[01:15:40] bother using it because they're pretty much the same thing because the one night right before

[01:15:43] was who's trying to convince me to change my style my math for both and this other one is who thinks

[01:15:47] i don't deserve my math or overall look so who thinks i don't deserve i mean you can go to another

[01:15:53] question too if you don't think it's gonna work yeah i mean there's other ones like who's ripping

[01:15:58] off my high flying style or who allied me allied with me on my first team i can't feel

[01:16:11] like that's brosifus i mean it could be a brosefus that's that's that's what you saw potential with me

[01:16:18] yeah so then do we both have we all have now like a brosefus and a chris cross or like uh we all have

[01:16:23] like um our characters have each other yes yeah some of them are more than others yeah and

[01:16:31] then we got one final honestly it seems like if we like if we're having more people this maybe

[01:16:37] just a house rule i think two questions is more than enough for heat right now i mean i'll just kind

[01:16:44] of i'm gonna make a call right there on the character so just a quick thing on the character

[01:16:49] sheet like so this is like after you ask those questions uh you have heat with and then like

[01:16:53] you add like the person's name and then give like a plus heat to that that's where you put your

[01:16:58] the uh the other characters names or i think the okay so these main ones are ones that answer

[01:17:04] these questions but you can get heat with other characters for other reasons like one of my moves

[01:17:10] is if someone tries to take my mask and stuff like that um is that the heat i remember there's

[01:17:16] something heat related in one of my moves that like generates heat or like if i have another one

[01:17:21] that's a tag team one where if i have heat with anyone i can call them in as a tag team partner

[01:17:27] gotcha and you're you're regardless of how i have heat with them it doesn't necessarily have

[01:17:31] to be a question heat it could be you got heat by doing this with them you know well also because

[01:17:36] like i think for like the bottom thing it's also like that's it also adds like shows you like where

[01:17:40] you're actually where you actually put your heat stat uh for that person so so like for for example

[01:17:46] like you yeah like for you like for for for crisscross i would be a plus one because of the

[01:17:52] question um but then for bro sefus i would have plus two because he's uh the opposite he's a

[01:17:58] he's a heel versus a babyface and i have uh and we've got this question oh right because uh on the

[01:18:05] heat thing is to start with plus one heat with wrestlers of the opposite role yeah right okay

[01:18:12] font size is so strange it's tiny for typing in the name and massive yeah numbers

[01:18:19] it's so we have already went through our heel um at picking our role i think we

[01:18:28] you know for the most part i think we're maybe done i'm kind of glancing through here i think

[01:18:35] there's a little bit of a conversation that we need we still need to complete it

[01:18:41] quick quickly but that other than that so um depending on the audience level and the momentum

[01:18:48] you have you put in your momentum on that first page at the bottom right yeah but that's that's

[01:18:52] more of a thing like that happens in like the first set in the session well yeah but for me i start

[01:18:56] each episode with one momentum so oh yeah plus one in their regard yeah when you wrestle someone

[01:19:02] you know we're just mindsay uh do i have anything that starts with that page two the audience

[01:19:08] the pink section yeah okay yeah yeah you start okay you start and reset to audience plus one so

[01:19:15] yeah so i've already added like i put the plus one already there on for for that and so oh so i

[01:19:19] get one momentum okay so you're sure more of an adult than i am apparently as far as google docs

[01:19:24] is concerned you care to be the uh open to google doc when we just kind of plot out our character

[01:19:30] stuff a little bit i think they you know so we'll okay uh yeah i'll open up the i'll make a um

[01:19:37] uh a folder for worldwide wrestling am i google doc all right so i guess this is for like notes and

[01:19:44] stuff yeah so we we're i'm kind of looking here so during the process uh keep your own notes on

[01:19:51] a dynamics created with the heat question so like let's just have an let's go ahead and do an overall

[01:19:57] uh i mean i'll go ahead and yeah so i'll i'll tell you what i'll write my answers and

[01:20:04] like we could just go ahead if you want to guys uh put our question and put who we

[01:20:11] put down for the answer so i'll put like an increase you can just copy us so who saw

[01:20:17] excuse me who saw the pot n potential and me to excel at being such an oddball

[01:20:30] and then i will put chris i spit like that and who thinks i'm all smoke and no fire hog fish

[01:20:41] also it's uh my it's hogfish is all caps of course i'm sorry all of the words just says hog

[01:20:48] fish in all caps yeah basically yeah and this right here you know as we're we can sit down as a group

[01:20:57] and kind of think about where we want uh the plot line to go for north america wrestling association

[01:21:04] or something like that yeah oh what if we like we had a wrestler again tying this weird like

[01:21:13] what if we did like a pent like that pentagram thing is actually like our like our like our

[01:21:17] the towns that we're hitting up like the our surface yeah so we're traveling like we're traveling

[01:21:21] the pentagram so we're gonna do like we're gonna do like an i cp like dark cod of a card of all things

[01:21:28] so yeah yeah fuck it i love it i i'm uh make a note of that somewhere there too yeah i'm like

[01:21:37] we need like the wrestling league league like is it like it'd be like so it's like satanic or

[01:21:41] something they're like somehow like the devils uh the devils the ring yeah when they hit their

[01:21:48] final okay www like that's that's the get also that should be the title of the campaign it's just

[01:21:52] like or the game is just the devils the devils ring that sounds good to me i mean trust me i can get

[01:21:59] people to jump in and play like one shots or it's kind of this things hold drop in drop out nature

[01:22:05] anyway so each one of you also have got to come up with an answer while most people gravitate

[01:22:12] to one role immediately you can help but subrises the key difference between the two baby face stand

[01:22:18] up for what they believe in i hope your stance for what i hope is for you man yes so once you play

[01:22:26] a baby face ask them what do you get due to get the crowd cheering for you hog fish

[01:22:35] it's

[01:22:39] we've called the hog finish oh my god it well it's gotta be now thanks you're welcome

[01:22:46] the hog finisher and then all right it's usually gonna be

[01:22:52] crisscross is going oh fuck bud oh fuck bud no no you should be the apple sauce

[01:22:58] the apple the crisscross apple sauce that's have you never heard of that oh really it's

[01:23:05] like a rhyme yeah it's like a nursery rhyme kind of thing it's like crisscross apple sauce like

[01:23:11] when you're putting when you're doing your uh you're when you're tying your shoes

[01:23:14] it's crisscross apple it's great yeah okay i'm just kind of surprised that you've never heard

[01:23:19] that no i mean i've never heard that no okay we should have got baby to show up for this he

[01:23:24] would have had so much fun all right so man uh what do you do to get the crowd booing you

[01:23:32] saying show up oh yeah yeah no if like if for hog fish like the crowd is just saying hog fish

[01:23:43] hog fish like they're just repeating my name like in a chant like like the like the audience

[01:23:49] does in like super smash brothers after you're like when you're like winning it's like yeah

[01:23:53] if i can pull it off i would totally love to be able to be the hog fish just to see like this

[01:24:02] oh man that would be funny um hog fish hog fish just let it just sit down it's just like

[01:24:09] defeated it's like uh hog fish and then and then his uh his bond is definitely gonna

[01:24:17] teach her dumbest to revenge now if we uh let's look at something well they kind of did a chart

[01:24:26] uh look on the book like page 21 you can kind of see the way our our questions are kind of working

[01:24:34] so eventually we can kind of draw that out but i think that that's that um we may actually be done

[01:24:43] i think so yeah once heat is set go around the table one last time i'm on page 22 23 of the actual pdf

[01:24:54] each prayer comes up with a highlight moment from the last installment well this actually

[01:25:01] that's why could forget to begin so um so see what this sounds fun i i think we've actually got it

[01:25:10] yeah i i know how it's set up that's like the devil's ring like the wd world wide wrestling the

[01:25:14] devil's ring um what i would recommend if we want to make this thing an actual thing that we do

[01:25:21] yeah let's all go like when we you got time let's create just just create another an mpw so just

[01:25:29] create another character and we'll just we'll just start making like a roster of things to pick

[01:25:34] but i do want to take a moment to highlight something i'm very proud of in this book

[01:25:38] so we don't have to necessarily if we were just like starting out like from the get go

[01:25:45] and we didn't have mpw's like this book has provided a great reference for for my kick

[01:25:50] starter backers of wrestlers that other in promotion to other people who have picked up

[01:25:56] so i am actually going to ask you guys because i'm like i said i'm kind of proud of this

[01:26:03] i want you to go to page 204 which would be 205 of the pdf

[01:26:14] and i want to show you what we did so badlands wrestling badlands wrestling we backed at such

[01:26:21] a level not only did we get a belt but we're in the book oh shit yeah like bi-technical

[01:26:26] difficulty gaming podcast and the are in the role playing public or the replay exchange yeah so

[01:26:32] this is kind of the setup so we're going to have to eventually if we do this we're going to come up

[01:26:36] with something so uh myka our gm or creative i don't know this was kind of working with like

[01:26:44] basically framed like the 70s kind of deal so with the territories that you kind of stuck with

[01:26:50] but and as you can see they've got a list of um championships or belts so we can probably if

[01:26:57] we're going through this we can come up with belts and things so we had the baddest of the badlands

[01:27:02] championship and uh i don't even remember blasphory real or to your accomplishment so it's

[01:27:08] nasty but here's our characters so um yeah you can make up like we can make an mpc for

[01:27:15] the owner ozeki which was played played by greg uh he was the blast champion uh you see baron

[01:27:23] bossa rob which was played by noah yep and if you go over to the next page it's a very top

[01:27:30] you see first other one oh yeah yeah wow that's that's actually in a book now

[01:27:37] yeah you're a published author Aaron i don't know i well honestly i wrote that that little section

[01:27:45] that is enough i have a published author my name's not attached to it but if you guys turn

[01:27:50] to page 205 you can see re first true story when they gave the preview of that uh greg and him sent

[01:27:58] me like i did like a screen cap of it and they didn't include my page and i for like six months i was

[01:28:05] like they fucking left me have that book they just showed the first one yeah also i love ronan

[01:28:12] as tecca the daughter of international internationally renowned samurai as tecca

[01:28:18] it's like oh that's so like that's who made who did that who wrote that one greg that's that yeah okay

[01:28:26] that's also yeah carmilla is a nice one is a nice touch for like the barony given like the vampire

[01:28:31] angle right that was a question i was gonna ask um how does this game handle like um intergender

[01:28:37] wrestling but it doesn't matter basically everyone's the same or do they have it split up or is it up

[01:28:42] to the gm if they want to split the league or not do they generally go like female wrestlers

[01:28:47] fight females male wrestlers fight males or is it like in tabletop rvgs it doesn't matter

[01:28:52] everyone doesn't matter that's why we did it yeah it's really a cool game i can't i can't say

[01:28:58] enough about it even though like i said for six months i was like oh my god and then after

[01:29:05] i found out that it was in fact uh in the book that i had to go out and buy a hard copy of this as well

[01:29:10] of course of course yeah thank you gentlemen for joining me i've had a lot of fun and much is kind

[01:29:18] of the trend with us doing these little row ups it actually seems like we may actually get a game

[01:29:23] out of this so i you know i look forward to going up against hog fish honk fish yeah

[01:29:32] hog scary fish chris and for those of you uh tuning in thank you so much for giving us a listen

[01:29:43] here i have been joined again once again by my friends over at one less die uh chris uh you

[01:29:51] chris the uh player not chris the character can you tell us more about it

[01:29:57] why are you laughing because i don't know i like people watching people suffer yeah fair

[01:30:03] so where can everybody find you well uh yeah when um when i'm not hanging out with rpx i run my

[01:30:10] own actual play podcast called one less die where a bunch of my friends from the last decade

[01:30:15] or in a decade and a half uh have been running playing games and recording them and i'm finally

[01:30:20] getting around to editing those audio files and posting them online so um we also do a bunch of

[01:30:27] more newer stuff is also getting posted not just like old stuff from like 10 years ago when we

[01:30:32] started playing quite the backlog yeah we have a backlog but i kind of interspersed it between

[01:30:37] like the old stuff and the new stuff so such as a boss in a boss in game that we're running

[01:30:42] where we're using uh raven loft as the setting and boss in as the system um that's been getting

[01:30:46] posted most recently so yeah it's so fun and then when i realized that i did not design

[01:30:53] chris cross's mask it will get there we'll get yeah i was gonna say he wears a flannel hoodie

[01:31:00] backwards all the time and like the inside of it he can see through it and he walks to the

[01:31:05] ring like that when he's going to fight he basically throws the bottom part of the hoodie

[01:31:10] like over shoulders like a cape but he still has the hood on backwards and there's like two

[01:31:14] eye holes and there's like should this be like an x in the middle yeah no the flannel isn't an x

[01:31:19] pattern yes yeah it's a weird yeah it's okay i like that yeah sorry there we go that's okay um

[01:31:26] adam i'm sure can like take that and add that into your part or just leave it here it's fine

[01:31:32] uh effort it's yeah it's all disjointed it's fine yeah okay but yeah when i'm not

[01:31:38] uh running actual play games on one less die or hanging out with rpx i also run

[01:31:42] another podcast called al dente rigamortis where i am review cultist and me and the gamer in yellow

[01:31:49] and our and our co-host uh mikey the east ends for evil read and discuss and review creepy

[01:31:55] pastas every week it's like a creepy online book club um yeah that's and you can also find me on uh

[01:32:04] twitter at review cultist or on blue sky as review cultist so or x it's twitter i never i'm never

[01:32:13] referring to it as x yeah i would change the url even then even then it's it's it's it this is

[01:32:20] not prince this is not the artist formerly known as prince it's a fucking website that everybody's

[01:32:24] been using for years and for those those of you uh tune in the first time real point exchange
