Jeremy – Julian Black

[00:00:00] You're listening to The Roleplaying Exchange.

[00:00:03] Tonight's game is the sprawl and I'm your GM Joe.

[00:00:07] We should introduce the characters and their deal in player alphabetical order.

[00:00:12] This is Adam and I will be reprising the row of Banshee.

[00:00:16] She is of the driver play set and it's been a while since our last game,

[00:00:23] but I know that our last mission was a success,

[00:00:26] but we've kind of burnt some bridges.

[00:00:28] So I'm sure that's not going to be an issue going forward.

[00:00:32] Not at all.

[00:00:33] And next on the list,

[00:00:34] hi, I'm Brownie back playing watch the technical character who may have burned

[00:00:38] some of those bridges with some, I don't know, grenades.

[00:00:40] I believe that leaves it up to me.

[00:00:43] Hey, it's Chris and I'm playing the groups reporter

[00:00:49] and possibly the worst person in the fucking show.

[00:00:53] And this is Jeremy.

[00:00:55] I'll be reprising my role as Julie and black, the fixer.

[00:00:58] Things went super sideways last time,

[00:01:00] but looking forward to seeing what problems come out of it

[00:01:04] and how we try and get ourselves out of it.

[00:01:07] All right, with that,

[00:01:09] I think it's time to recount the prior situation.

[00:01:12] The players previously pulled a job at the behest of,

[00:01:17] they believe in AI and installed some hardware

[00:01:22] onto the servers of Saigen,

[00:01:27] the social media company, Social Media Corp.

[00:01:31] And but in the process of doing so,

[00:01:37] they fired a few shots off at neighboring corporation

[00:01:41] corporate headquarters for NanoLink

[00:01:45] and it was done on purpose to distract the security from Saigen

[00:01:51] as things were getting a little heated for the players.

[00:01:54] But this has resulted in the renewal of a cold,

[00:01:57] turning a cold corporate war into a hot corporate war

[00:02:01] between Saigen and NanoLink.

[00:02:05] The war is occurring instead of elsewhere in the globe,

[00:02:09] right here.

[00:02:10] And if I remember correctly, Julian and Craig both got ID'd.

[00:02:15] Yeah, and they absolutely did.

[00:02:17] And Elena.

[00:02:19] So Saigen at least knows for sure who you guys are

[00:02:23] and probably suspects pretty deeply

[00:02:27] that you had something to do with this.

[00:02:30] I don't know what you're talking about, we didn't do nothing.

[00:02:32] We were undercover boss.

[00:02:35] We were.

[00:02:37] I'm still pissed that the shoot didn't go through.

[00:02:41] Well, unfortunately,

[00:02:43] I doubt that would ever be making the error

[00:02:45] unless you want to greatly endanger your life.

[00:02:48] Well, more than already.

[00:02:51] So yeah, with that in mind, you have a few options.

[00:02:57] You could start your own job,

[00:02:58] which will be getting your,

[00:03:01] whatever cred you've got left out of the country

[00:03:05] and then setting up flights for yourself

[00:03:06] so you can flee to whatever

[00:03:08] non-extraditing country you wanna go to.

[00:03:12] You just cash out, that would be fine.

[00:03:15] If you cash out, the game is over.

[00:03:18] You know, if you succeed in that job.

[00:03:20] Alternately, you can continue to take jobs

[00:03:23] and maybe do that shit on the side

[00:03:25] where you could just continue to take jobs

[00:03:26] and ignore the oncoming doom, your choice.

[00:03:30] Out of character, I am of the opinion

[00:03:34] that Craig would just take on jobs

[00:03:37] and just ignore the oncoming doom.

[00:03:39] I am not surprised that that is a good plan.

[00:03:43] Also, I think it would be really, really funny

[00:03:45] if we all cashed out this session without telling David.

[00:03:51] That would be awful.

[00:03:53] That would be terrible to do.

[00:03:55] It would be so fucking funny though.

[00:03:58] Just rolling, hey guys, where'd everybody go?

[00:04:00] I mean, unless you're gonna handle Elena's cash out.

[00:04:05] I mean, I've always been on team LaLa

[00:04:06] so I don't know, can't stop won't stop.

[00:04:10] I feel like we still have plenty of wiggle room

[00:04:12] to play both sides against the middle.

[00:04:13] So, I mean, say we ride it until the wheels fall off.

[00:04:18] You know what pays mercenaries and contractors?

[00:04:21] Corporal that? Yeah, Corporal War.

[00:04:24] And I feel like we can make or take some of the heat off

[00:04:28] of Sai-jen for us, because we still got a hard drive

[00:04:32] full of Nano Link egos.

[00:04:35] That would absolutely pacify Sai-jen.

[00:04:40] To an enormous decree.

[00:04:42] So, option B sounds like the one that's gonna

[00:04:45] narratively keep us going a little bit longer

[00:04:47] so we can get all hands on deck.

[00:04:49] That makes sense to me.

[00:04:51] Everybody in agreement with option B?

[00:04:54] Sure.

[00:04:55] Team LaLa.

[00:04:56] All right.

[00:04:58] So, there are three jobs on offer.

[00:05:02] That's how hot the war is.

[00:05:04] One is obviously from Nano Link.

[00:05:07] One's from Sai-jen.

[00:05:09] And one is a local job from

[00:05:13] Craig's good friend who hasn't made an appearance yet,

[00:05:16] but is going to now, the chameleon.

[00:05:19] As a reminder for those of y'all

[00:05:21] who were not in season one,

[00:05:23] the chameleon is a politician

[00:05:26] who uses identity shifting clothing and...

[00:05:31] What's the word?

[00:05:32] Plastic surgery to look as ethnically ambiguous

[00:05:36] as possible.

[00:05:37] Yes.

[00:05:39] He also takes very neutral positions on everything.

[00:05:45] He's also corrupt as shit.

[00:05:47] Yeah, well, I mean, very clearly.

[00:05:51] Super corrupt, ultra corrupt.

[00:05:53] We've ruined his son's life multiple times.

[00:05:57] That's also true.

[00:05:58] We can...

[00:06:00] All right, but what would be the best way for us

[00:06:01] to figure out which one of these jobs

[00:06:03] would be the either easiest, safest or best paying?

[00:06:07] I think a plain red mark, it's all of a sudden.

[00:06:11] We can just pick all three.

[00:06:13] That sounds like a good job, right?

[00:06:15] My God, not without babies.

[00:06:18] It's gonna have some stuff, some issues.

[00:06:24] It sounds like a tomorrow problem.

[00:06:26] I mean, yeah, it's a problem for tomorrow characters.

[00:06:28] That's for sure.

[00:06:30] All right, so if we want to...

[00:06:33] I have a docket on the chameleon already.

[00:06:36] So if we wanna go in guns blazing as it were

[00:06:41] with like a full advantage,

[00:06:45] I can just drop that through if he wants to talk to him.

[00:06:48] I presume that's you, Julian.

[00:06:49] Yeah.

[00:06:51] I mean, doesn't he kinda hate you though?

[00:06:55] So does every fucking corporation in the goddamn city

[00:06:59] and I still know a shit ton about them?

[00:07:02] NanoLink doesn't know who we are.

[00:07:04] Saige ensures shit does

[00:07:06] and the chameleon ensures shit does.

[00:07:09] They know who we are.

[00:07:11] They all knew who I am.

[00:07:14] Let's put it that way.

[00:07:16] Yeah, I mean, if there's a way of figuring out

[00:07:17] what the jobs are before we can fully pick them,

[00:07:20] you're great, but...

[00:07:21] Well, yeah, that would be hit the street.

[00:07:24] Alrighty.

[00:07:26] All right, research.

[00:07:28] So I'm going to...

[00:07:30] Depending on how this turns out,

[00:07:32] this may bump up the whichever

[00:07:36] legwork track for the job you pick.

[00:07:39] It'll bump that up

[00:07:41] if you have to take any further action

[00:07:43] for hitting the street.

[00:07:46] Whoever's best role hitting the street first

[00:07:49] will kinda let that be the...

[00:07:50] Yeah, gonna say that's probably me.

[00:07:53] Yeah, I don't hit the street, the street hits me.

[00:07:55] All right.

[00:07:57] Well, it's past tonight.

[00:07:59] It's gonna cost you extra.

[00:08:00] It's gonna take some time to put together.

[00:08:02] It's gonna attract unwanted attention,

[00:08:04] complications or consequences

[00:08:06] where your contact needs you

[00:08:07] to help them out with something.

[00:08:09] Whoa!

[00:08:11] Choose two.

[00:08:15] That last one's thematically appropriate with Craig.

[00:08:18] Sure is.

[00:08:20] Let me check something real quick.

[00:08:22] I choose one because I'm hard to find.

[00:08:25] Ah, cool.

[00:08:26] Um...

[00:08:28] Let's do the cost you extra.

[00:08:31] I'll pay it.

[00:08:32] All right.

[00:08:34] So which contact are you going to

[00:08:35] to kinda get the inside scoop on these jobs?

[00:08:41] I haven't been to Helen for a while.

[00:08:43] I could use some pie.

[00:08:45] All right.

[00:08:47] You sit down.

[00:08:48] Today's pie is...

[00:08:52] It's a regular pumpkin.

[00:08:55] Ah, it must be towards October now.

[00:08:57] Helen comes up,

[00:08:59] gives you a slice of pie and a coffee

[00:09:02] and says, hey, Julian, what can I do for you?

[00:09:05] Hey, Helen.

[00:09:06] I heard that there was a few jobs going around,

[00:09:09] heard about a bit of a corporate war.

[00:09:11] I heard the chameleon was back around in town,

[00:09:14] plus I heard NanoLink and Saigin were both in market

[00:09:18] for some work to be done.

[00:09:20] You heard anything?

[00:09:21] I heard some stuff.

[00:09:23] Yeah, the corporate war's been heating up.

[00:09:26] I can do it for you, but listen, Julian,

[00:09:29] it's getting pretty bad

[00:09:30] and I'm thinking of selling the franchise.

[00:09:33] So any donations to the Helen Cells,

[00:09:37] the Waffle House fund would be greatly appreciated.

[00:09:41] I mean, I don't necessarily wanna see you

[00:09:43] sell the Waffle House.

[00:09:43] This is kind of our meeting spot.

[00:09:46] This is kind of the place that we love to go

[00:09:47] and we absolutely love having you around.

[00:09:49] I definitely understand,

[00:09:51] but I don't think anybody's ever gonna come in here,

[00:09:52] rolling in deep, trying to bother you

[00:09:55] and you got too many friends.

[00:09:56] There's no reason for you to leave.

[00:09:58] Well, stupid people do stupid things

[00:10:00] and stupid people seem to be proliferating lately.

[00:10:03] That's true, but stupid people end up in pine boxes too.

[00:10:05] So...

[00:10:06] There's enough neopine boxes going around

[00:10:08] for all of us.

[00:10:10] Don't worry, I'm gonna be...

[00:10:12] I got a young up-and-comer

[00:10:14] who's willing to take the risk on.

[00:10:15] She'll fill my slot

[00:10:17] and she'll still have the good pie

[00:10:18] and good information, but you know.

[00:10:23] Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to charge you two

[00:10:24] for this one, Julian.

[00:10:26] Oh, you're worth it, totally.

[00:10:27] I would have paid you two regardless,

[00:10:28] but if it's to help keep you safe,

[00:10:30] we'll definitely throw you into.

[00:10:32] So, here's what I learned.

[00:10:36] The chameleon's job seems to be vaguely related

[00:10:41] to his actual duties as city council person.

[00:10:48] So...

[00:10:49] He's made a big stink

[00:10:50] about protecting the neighborhood,

[00:10:52] et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

[00:10:55] Now what he's protecting it against,

[00:10:57] that I haven't heard,

[00:11:01] and it's going to be...

[00:11:03] It could be fighting corporations off,

[00:11:06] it could be a rising gang violence.

[00:11:09] It could be a lot of things.

[00:11:11] I know he's got his own money involved,

[00:11:13] so he's taken it real seriously.

[00:11:16] But that's gonna be a middling job.

[00:11:18] He's on the take, but you know politicians are cheap.

[00:11:23] The side gen job, listen, Julian,

[00:11:27] I really gotta tell you,

[00:11:27] this would be a mistake for you guys to take.

[00:11:30] They got...

[00:11:31] You're on their list.

[00:11:33] Yeah, I've heard.

[00:11:34] So, but it does pay really well.

[00:11:38] It's out of city, so you're gonna be...

[00:11:43] I mean, I heard it's on the East Coast.

[00:11:48] And it's gonna be some heavy duty wet work.

[00:11:53] But it pays really well.

[00:11:57] The nano link job is definitely gonna be local, for sure.

[00:12:03] It's not gonna pay quite as well,

[00:12:05] probably about what the chameleons job will pay,

[00:12:08] give or take.

[00:12:10] There's gonna be more room for negotiation there, I'm sure.

[00:12:14] And what I'm hearing is it's a negotiation position.

[00:12:18] They want you to...

[00:12:22] You know, they want you to...

[00:12:24] It's gonna be a protection job while they start looking for allies.

[00:12:28] I think nano link got it kind of got caught

[00:12:30] with its pants down this time.

[00:12:32] Oh, you don't say?

[00:12:34] Well, you know, they did have that ego theft,

[00:12:38] you know, a couple of weeks ago and

[00:12:41] side gen was always a suspect for that.

[00:12:43] And now they're feeling pretty vulnerable.

[00:12:47] I'd imagine so.

[00:12:47] I heard somebody opened up fire on them.

[00:12:50] I mean, that's what started this whole thing.

[00:12:54] So...

[00:12:55] But that's what I know.

[00:12:57] You know, first job is gonna be local, pay, middling.

[00:13:02] It's gonna be for the chameleon

[00:13:04] and something about community defense, ostensibly.

[00:13:08] Side gen's job is out of country or out of state.

[00:13:12] And it's wet work.

[00:13:14] So, you know, either terrorist activities or an assassination.

[00:13:20] And the nano link job is escort duty basically.

[00:13:27] All right, well, you keep the home fires burning.

[00:13:29] If you decide you want to sell the franchise,

[00:13:31] you let me know and maybe we can work out a deal

[00:13:35] because I definitely don't want to see this place go.

[00:13:37] If you want to buy in, I'd be happy to have you buy in.

[00:13:41] Oh, well, we'll look into that.

[00:13:43] I definitely don't want to see this place go.

[00:13:44] I definitely don't want to see you go.

[00:13:46] But if you got an understudy coming up, then that might be...

[00:13:50] That might be a...

[00:13:51] She's real good. She's real good.

[00:13:53] All right, well, you take care of yourself.

[00:13:56] If you guys need anything, please let us know.

[00:13:59] You're our base.

[00:14:00] So, you know, you're the staple of Los Liguros.

[00:14:05] Trust me, if I need something,

[00:14:08] I will definitely let you know.

[00:14:10] All right.

[00:14:11] And I eat my pie and drink my coffee

[00:14:15] and mull upon our things.

[00:14:17] And I tell all this through our comps.

[00:14:20] All right, so I'm going to take the lead from here

[00:14:25] and I have a nose for a story.

[00:14:27] So I'm going to do everything I can

[00:14:31] to gather as much evidence as I can

[00:14:33] and figure out what the fuck's going on.

[00:14:37] Bam. So that is a partial success.

[00:14:40] Right.

[00:14:41] So I get I'm going to hold one head, one forward.

[00:14:46] One forward, right.

[00:14:49] So I'm actually going to spend that edge right now

[00:14:51] or that hold right now to find out what links

[00:14:56] Nano link to all this stuff.

[00:14:59] Like do all the jobs in like it.

[00:15:04] In this case, I'm trying to like narrow down

[00:15:06] what they want like we know it's local.

[00:15:09] We know it's OK, but we don't know anything else.

[00:15:14] All right, so Weber, Bakli Agupi,

[00:15:18] as I'm sure I misspelt, mispronounced

[00:15:19] in a different way this time,

[00:15:24] is sort of standoffish or not involved in the war.

[00:15:28] You've heard on and off that they've been doing

[00:15:30] some more than is usual ethical experimentation.

[00:15:37] Nano link, you know, is the premier cyberware producer

[00:15:42] and it would not be impossible for Nano link

[00:15:46] to start looking at at utilizing some cloning facilities,

[00:15:52] especially since, you know, they have a vast storehouse of,

[00:15:59] you know, cyber brains to draw on

[00:16:02] to dump into these clones if they need to.

[00:16:05] And if they're getting housed by

[00:16:08] Sygen, which seems to be the case

[00:16:11] in a surprise to everybody, that might be what they're looking for.

[00:16:17] That is, you know, when you start trolling the forums

[00:16:21] and checking the conspiracies, I'm literally not even doing any of that.

[00:16:26] I am just going through my servers

[00:16:28] like all of the information that I gathered up over the years.

[00:16:32] That is your best guess.

[00:16:34] And you'd say it's a pretty solid guess.

[00:16:37] All right, I can't be 100 percent certain on this sort of situation.

[00:16:43] But I think we got super soldiers.

[00:16:47] We're dealing with a super soldier situation here.

[00:16:50] All right, Banshee, watch what you guys think,

[00:16:52] because right now I'm thinking either, you know, obviously not Sygen.

[00:16:57] Yeah, we should probably avoid Sygen.

[00:16:59] Yeah.

[00:17:00] I can hear you.

[00:17:02] And say if Helen's telling me not to do something,

[00:17:04] I'm basically going to take her word for it.

[00:17:08] So that's one for Chameleon, because it sounds like at the very least,

[00:17:11] even if it's community outreach, we can

[00:17:14] maybe do something good for the community

[00:17:16] and get people out of the line of fire.

[00:17:18] It's never fucking community outreach when it comes to Chameleon.

[00:17:22] True, but it's not super soldiers either.

[00:17:24] Like no matter what happens, like something's going to go bad here.

[00:17:28] And I personally voting against the Chameleon.

[00:17:32] I don't trust that man.

[00:17:33] Well, if it's discount Robocop or someone from Craig's Pass

[00:17:38] and Craig doesn't want us to take the job,

[00:17:40] I'll go with the Chameleon as well.

[00:17:42] I'm going to tell you right now this is coming for me.

[00:17:46] He's a snake.

[00:17:48] I know he's called the Chameleon, but he's a snake.

[00:17:51] But at least it's the devil we know.

[00:17:53] And from the sounds of it, you got dirty dirt on him already.

[00:17:56] So so I guess it's Chameleon.

[00:18:00] All right.

[00:18:02] I've been outvoted, whatever.

[00:18:04] All right. So the Chameleon will meet you in person at your place of choice.

[00:18:10] Hellens.

[00:18:12] Hellens it is always.

[00:18:14] Hellens.

[00:18:16] Who's going to be at Hellens?

[00:18:18] Obviously, I will be.

[00:18:20] I'll be repairing the jukebox.

[00:18:22] Cool.

[00:18:23] I will be there in disguise.

[00:18:27] Big mustache, big hat.

[00:18:29] Just no, no, like full up.

[00:18:31] Have you got have y'all seen the TV show, You?

[00:18:34] No.

[00:18:35] OK, so the show is about a serial killer who's just like a very handsome man

[00:18:39] and his entire concept of going into disguise is just putting on a fucking baseball cap.

[00:18:46] Does he even like tuck it down and look out from under it or is it just a baseball cap?

[00:18:52] It's just a baseball cap, but because like no one really, really expects him to be anywhere, it works.

[00:19:00] He might thought of your camouflage was a little bit more outlandish.

[00:19:04] You know, we're sitting there talking in halfway through the meat,

[00:19:08] the huge pile of eggs on the table opens up its size and starts talking.

[00:19:13] Hey, Chameleon.

[00:19:15] It's like, oh, God, damn it.

[00:19:17] Jesus Christ.

[00:19:18] What is that thing?

[00:19:20] Right as soon as he agrees to work with us.

[00:19:22] Ambush interview.

[00:19:25] Little wire comes out with a microphone.

[00:19:26] Can I get your thoughts?

[00:19:29] Only Craig would do this.

[00:19:33] I'm also going to go since I think I'm the next one who's mildly combat competent, maybe.

[00:19:40] I don't know. I mean, I think I got some points.

[00:19:44] Somebody has to kidnap his kid when he shows up again.

[00:19:50] I can't kidnap, but I can't strap grenades to things.

[00:19:53] That was that's fine.

[00:19:55] You can help with the kidnapping if the grenades are gas grenades.

[00:20:00] Sure, I can do that.

[00:20:02] All right. So he shows up and boy,

[00:20:09] say what you want about the guy, but he's got a lot of charisma.

[00:20:11] It feels like the room just lit up.

[00:20:13] He's got like an almost certainly genuine smile.

[00:20:18] If you didn't know who he was, you'd think it was a genuine smile

[00:20:21] and he's glad to be here.

[00:20:22] Julian, hey, exactly.

[00:20:25] JD, what do you want me to call you?

[00:20:29] That's Mr. Black's fine.

[00:20:31] Mr. Black.

[00:20:38] Yeah, boy, I was I was a reference.

[00:20:41] Oh, shit, was this dude's name?

[00:20:43] Fuck, he's not going to call himself the chameleon.

[00:20:47] I have these notes.

[00:20:50] Have you met our associate, Garrick?

[00:20:52] Oh, no.

[00:20:54] Madison Turner.

[00:20:56] OK, thank you.

[00:20:58] His son is Jake.

[00:20:59] Madison Turner.

[00:21:02] Don't don't tell him about what we've done to Jake.

[00:21:05] Yeah, he genuinely loves his son.

[00:21:08] It's one of the few redeeming features about this guy.

[00:21:11] Mr. Black, it's great to actually meet you in person.

[00:21:14] I've heard a lot of great things about about you and what

[00:21:16] you've done for the community.

[00:21:18] And of course, I always appreciate your donations.

[00:21:21] Yeah, yeah, well, yeah, that's that's fine.

[00:21:23] What do you need?

[00:21:25] We're kind of on the meter's running, buddy.

[00:21:27] We kind of go. We kind of got it started.

[00:21:30] Well, frankly, as you're no doubt aware, this

[00:21:32] the city is facing an unprecedented crisis.

[00:21:37] Two of our.

[00:21:40] Magnificent resident corporations have decided that they must sort

[00:21:44] out their mutual difficulties through

[00:21:49] the unfortunate means of violence.

[00:21:52] And this puts our community and its members at risk.

[00:21:56] I, as city council person for the melting pot, as it is

[00:22:01] often called, but actually in the city district three

[00:22:06] want to take steps to protect our community

[00:22:09] from this ongoing and likely escalating spate of violence.

[00:22:14] That's where you come in.

[00:22:16] What I need is someone to

[00:22:20] trust who can be deployed as a

[00:22:25] rapid response team.

[00:22:27] Should any violence break out?

[00:22:29] I also want to tell you that the violence is not just

[00:22:32] between the two corporations, but several gangs that are

[00:22:36] police force has been unable to suppress successfully have

[00:22:38] taken this as an open opportunity to increase the

[00:22:41] scope of their actions.

[00:22:43] They will also need to be dealt with.

[00:22:45] So he wants to make us freelance police like Sam and Max

[00:22:49] shit. Yeah,

[00:22:53] you will of course be paid for all of your time in trouble.

[00:22:59] Ammunition will be comped

[00:23:02] and I will have you deputized.

[00:23:05] So what is deputization actually get us?

[00:23:08] Well, you will have full enforcement

[00:23:11] capabilities as determined by the Constitution of the

[00:23:16] State of Seattle and the city charter for Los Ligueros.

[00:23:21] Oh, so we'll be able to legally murder anyone who's of a

[00:23:25] certain skin killer.

[00:23:27] Is this in character?

[00:23:29] Yes, actually, I just just pop in.

[00:23:34] Oh, Mr. Sarota, join us.

[00:23:37] Won't you?

[00:23:39] This will make excellent copy.

[00:23:43] Madison, I always appreciate talking to you.

[00:23:46] Yes, I'm sure.

[00:23:49] How's your son doing, by the way?

[00:23:51] Uh, Jake is looking forward to college.

[00:23:57] Really?

[00:23:57] I heard he was on probation.

[00:24:00] I didn't say it was the same college.

[00:24:04] Oh, that's that's just a shame.

[00:24:08] Hey, so what's it like not having a soul?

[00:24:11] I mean, I'm sure you could answer that question as well as I could.

[00:24:17] Oh, no, I believe in things.

[00:24:20] All right, I'm sorry, Mr. Black, please continue.

[00:24:26] Oh, you're fine.

[00:24:26] I'm sure that all this is pertinent, but, uh, you know, the

[00:24:30] if you guys could put your dicks back in your pants, it'd be fine.

[00:24:32] We got a job to take.

[00:24:34] So you're going to take the job?

[00:24:37] I mean, where?

[00:24:39] Yeah.

[00:24:40] Yeah, well, for you to deputize me, captain.

[00:24:43] Oh, you're in the crew, Craig.

[00:24:46] I thought you were just kind of scuttering around, scuttling around, I should say,

[00:24:50] like a little cockroach antennas up waiting for anything.

[00:24:54] So what would you say about Mr.

[00:24:56] Sarrota there?

[00:24:56] He he is kind of a pain in the ass, but he is very good at what he does.

[00:25:00] So that's why we keep him around.

[00:25:02] Apparently he's got you guys have some history, but we'll not let

[00:25:06] that get in the way of you paying us for a job well done.

[00:25:10] Um, well good.

[00:25:12] I'm glad to see Craig has more capitalist impulses than I originally thought.

[00:25:16] Regardless, ask your questions.

[00:25:20] So for getting the job, you get to choose three from the below list.

[00:25:24] He provides useful information, useful assets.

[00:25:27] It pays well.

[00:25:28] Doesn't attract attention or he's identifiable.

[00:25:31] You look at that one.

[00:25:32] You already know who he is.

[00:25:33] Uh, we're going to do pays well.

[00:25:35] I would also say we should probably get useful information because

[00:25:39] this sounds like it's going to be a pain in the ass.

[00:25:41] Yeah, we're going to do doesn't attract attention and then also

[00:25:46] useful information, unless anybody else has anything else to say.

[00:25:51] We're just like, no, it doesn't fucking pay well, whatever.

[00:25:54] No, I said it does pay well.

[00:25:55] I know I was joking.

[00:25:57] No, that one, that was I have the feeling money is going to come

[00:26:00] in short order.

[00:26:01] So anytime we have a chance to do pays well, we're taking it.

[00:26:04] Yeah.

[00:26:06] This campaign is on like a fucking time limit at this point.

[00:26:10] So oh, yeah.

[00:26:12] All right.

[00:26:14] Yeah, he will it will pay well.

[00:26:17] You are surprised at the amount of money he's offering you

[00:26:20] and he makes it extremely clear that it is coming out of his pocket.

[00:26:24] Oh, so this is what happened to Jake's

[00:26:28] his fund.

[00:26:30] He has plenty of money to go to school.

[00:26:33] Yeah, but I know that there's been a huge

[00:26:36] a huge reduction from his trust fund.

[00:26:38] It's in public record.

[00:26:39] You know, you know, that's right, Madison.

[00:26:41] You I mean, you're you're a politician.

[00:26:42] You should understand that all of your records are noted.

[00:26:45] Noted.

[00:26:46] I am aware of that.

[00:26:47] But unfortunately,

[00:26:51] sometimes a person has to stand up for their constituents.

[00:26:58] You want to come outside with me for a second?

[00:27:00] You know, so you don't fuck this up for us?

[00:27:04] No, it's fine.

[00:27:04] He's he's not going to fuck this job up.

[00:27:06] You guys are hired.

[00:27:08] You have a good reputation out of character.

[00:27:11] One of my motivations is literally ruining this guy's life.

[00:27:14] Yeah, I know.

[00:27:17] You can think what you want, Sarota, but

[00:27:20] I'm doing this for the neighborhood.

[00:27:23] Right.

[00:27:23] These are my people.

[00:27:25] They keep me in a job and they can't keep me in a job if they're all dead.

[00:27:29] So what gangs are starting to kind of encroach on everybody's territory?

[00:27:33] Like, is it Jesus?

[00:27:35] All of them.

[00:27:36] All of everyone.

[00:27:37] Is there any potential of taking some friendly ones that we have

[00:27:41] and deputizing a few of them so we can have some more reach?

[00:27:45] Oddly enough, the Juggalos are pretty, pretty positive

[00:27:50] and also make a mullet.

[00:27:52] Well,

[00:27:53] uh,

[00:27:54] so the Screaming Eagles are one of the gangs that are taking over

[00:27:59] more and more territory in a melting pot.

[00:28:02] Also in the fight are, of course, the Golden Phoenix.

[00:28:08] Now, Golden Phoenix you only dealt with one time.

[00:28:11] They were the people who tried to assist in the theft of Helen's pie recipes.

[00:28:18] Those motherfuckers.

[00:28:20] And they were a cyber gang with unknown funders.

[00:28:24] And of course, the Screaming Eagles are who they are.

[00:28:26] Hey, you have like a connect with Screaming Eagles, right?

[00:28:31] We got all kinds of we just did a death race for Screaming Eagles.

[00:28:37] All right, cool.

[00:28:38] Sweet.

[00:28:40] All right, that makes this slightly less awful.

[00:28:44] So I'll do my research into the Golden Eagles, the Golden Phoenix then.

[00:28:49] My thing is what I'm thinking is instead of trying to meet them head on,

[00:28:54] maybe if we could somehow do a parlay between all of them,

[00:28:57] both out between both of them, if we could do some type of parlay

[00:28:59] so we could not keep getting people in the crossfire

[00:29:03] because they all live in the same neighborhood

[00:29:05] and there's also civilians that live there.

[00:29:07] Watch Banshee.

[00:29:08] What do you guys think?

[00:29:09] If we could solve it without violence, that'd be pretty good.

[00:29:14] We've been trying to basically do a Robin Hood type deal as of recent

[00:29:19] and not put people in front of bullets.

[00:29:21] So I'm definitely for not putting more people in front of bullets.

[00:29:25] I turn around from the jukebox and say, yeah, nonviolent is good.

[00:29:28] I'm kind of low on grenades.

[00:29:31] I don't have gangs all here.

[00:29:32] Where's your where's your assassin lady?

[00:29:36] Don't worry about it.

[00:29:37] I want the answer to that.

[00:29:38] Yeah, don't worry about it.

[00:29:39] Maybe I don't. Maybe I don't.

[00:29:41] That's a good point, Craig.

[00:29:42] Finally, a great point from you.

[00:29:45] All right, Mr. Mr. Turner, what is

[00:29:48] I'm assuming you just want us to

[00:29:50] to kind of to have some peace or make some peace between the gangs

[00:29:53] one way or the other?

[00:29:55] Well, and keep nano link and side

[00:29:58] gen from killing each other on those streets

[00:30:02] and respond if they start any of their fights there.

[00:30:08] It might be more beneficial for us to get the gangs to work against those two.

[00:30:12] Now, what I can tell you is I cannot provide them with any official sanction.

[00:30:16] What I can do is

[00:30:20] I have obtained several pardons

[00:30:24] from the governor of the great state of Seattle.

[00:30:30] And I can I can deposit those on

[00:30:36] certain leaders of certain parties.

[00:30:38] And you can use that as leverage.

[00:30:41] That is a freebie.

[00:30:43] I think that's something we can work with.

[00:30:46] I'm sure a lot of them probably have

[00:30:48] warrants out that need to go away.

[00:30:51] All right, I say we get the show on the road

[00:30:53] unless he's going to give us some more information on what

[00:30:57] what's going on.

[00:30:57] We already know the gangs.

[00:30:58] We know what he wants.

[00:30:59] We know that we got some leverage going on

[00:31:02] with some pardons.

[00:31:03] Is that the intel or are we getting some extra intel out of him?

[00:31:06] No, the Intel is a variable.

[00:31:08] You can use it later and it will be something he's told you.

[00:31:12] Yeah, no, Intel is a form of

[00:31:16] basically form of currency.

[00:31:18] Yeah, it's currency.

[00:31:19] Like that's that's what I use like Intel is my main form.

[00:31:22] OK.

[00:31:23] All right, fellas and lady.

[00:31:27] I believe we got our marching orders.

[00:31:30] Let's get this show on the road.

[00:31:33] I'll have you on speed.

[00:31:34] I wonder if we get the part if the pardons need to come in

[00:31:37] and we'll see you hopefully with some good news.

[00:31:42] I hope so too.

[00:31:44] Good luck, gentlemen.

[00:31:46] I'm counting on you.

[00:31:47] The community is counting on you.

[00:31:49] Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know.

[00:31:50] I'm a politician, not by trade.

[00:31:52] So I know how it goes.

[00:31:54] I need to snudge and get something leaves.

[00:31:57] All right, Banshee, you and I should probably go to

[00:31:59] the police station and get some information.

[00:32:01] You and I should probably go deal with juggalos.

[00:32:05] We have some experience there, you know?

[00:32:07] I didn't realize they were called in on this.

[00:32:11] You're going to call them in, I think, is the plan.

[00:32:13] OK, no, no, there's security.

[00:32:16] We are deputizing the juggalos.

[00:32:19] I think we kind of need some type of neutral party as a

[00:32:23] basically like an envoy.

[00:32:25] So, you know, we're like, we can go talk to, you know,

[00:32:28] we know we know Mecca, Mullet.

[00:32:31] We don't really know the Golden Phoenixes, so we need somebody

[00:32:34] to go out and talk to them.

[00:32:35] All right, watch Banshee.

[00:32:37] You guys got any ideas?

[00:32:38] Because that's that's the only place that I can think of it to start.

[00:32:42] We maybe look to see what areas they've actually

[00:32:47] enrouched on beforehand.

[00:32:50] I mean, it's like a little bit of a battle,

[00:32:52] feel schematic knowing what we're talking about.

[00:32:56] You know, how has that affected the people themselves kind of thing?

[00:32:59] Just so it's kind of hard to tell because we live in the melting pot,

[00:33:03] which in and of itself feels like a battleground.

[00:33:07] It is it is generally pretty violent.

[00:33:11] I guess I could draw a map.

[00:33:14] At this at this point, it kind of reminds me of like,

[00:33:17] we're trying to get the bloods in the crypts to decide to work together

[00:33:19] against the corporation to keep everybody safe.

[00:33:22] If I draw a map, I can fill in one side with the American flag.

[00:33:25] Yeah.

[00:33:30] Listen, if 80 movies, 80s movies have taught me anything, guys, dance off.

[00:33:36] I like this plan.

[00:33:39] If American History X has taught me anything.

[00:33:42] Dance off.

[00:33:44] Yes, exactly.

[00:33:47] I mean, I say it jokingly, but I do kind of would love to see what would happen.

[00:33:51] Of course, David would be like, I don't know if he would forgive us

[00:33:54] if we did something as awesome as a dance off.

[00:33:56] We can't do a dance off without David.

[00:33:59] I agree.

[00:34:00] Hey, Banshee.

[00:34:02] That would be more cruel than leaving the country without him.

[00:34:06] Everybody's dancing.

[00:34:07] Everybody's dancing to Footleaf.

[00:34:08] She's like, what's going on guys?

[00:34:11] All right, Banshee, you and me.

[00:34:12] We've got a preview experience.

[00:34:14] Let's go talk to the juggalos.

[00:34:16] All right.

[00:34:17] All right.

[00:34:18] Watch you with I guess you're with me going to talk to Megamullet.

[00:34:22] Yep.

[00:34:23] All right.

[00:34:23] Hey.

[00:34:25] So you're talking to like one of the main factions,

[00:34:29] we're trying to recruit a third faction.

[00:34:33] Do you I'll say do you want me to switch up and do the third faction or?

[00:34:37] No, no, no, no, no, no, I think this actually makes a lot of sense.

[00:34:40] OK, we both have previous experience with the juggalos.

[00:34:44] OK.

[00:34:45] And the big thing we need the juggalos to do is we just to basically act

[00:34:48] as our MS areas to get them to parlay.

[00:34:51] Yeah, more or less.

[00:34:52] But what I'm thinking is that they are going to act as neutral parties.

[00:34:57] Yeah, yeah, definitely.

[00:35:00] All right.

[00:35:01] Who wants to go first?

[00:35:02] I will if no one else will go for it.

[00:35:07] It'll set the tone.

[00:35:07] See how it goes.

[00:35:09] Um, all right.

[00:35:10] So getting getting charged.

[00:35:13] Are you talking to one of the juggalo assassins, Void Clown?

[00:35:17] I'm talking to I'm talking to Megamullet.

[00:35:19] Megamullet, I apologize.

[00:35:22] Mr. Black, glad to see you back here.

[00:35:26] Yeah, it was a heck of a dustup last time we all got together.

[00:35:29] It was a pretty good time, but I'm real sad.

[00:35:31] It was a hell of a time.

[00:35:34] Listen, listen, were you that race was nuts?

[00:35:39] Oh, so good.

[00:35:41] I was in it.

[00:35:42] I mean, I was I was in the backseat of a different car

[00:35:44] and then Saigen opened up and now there's a whole corporate war

[00:35:48] and you understand how much of the city is open to us now.

[00:35:51] They used to patrol together.

[00:35:52] They used to be buddies.

[00:35:55] Now, wide open.

[00:35:57] It's like the Wild West out here.

[00:35:59] That's true.

[00:36:00] But don't you think it's kind of it'd be kind of nice if, you know,

[00:36:03] we all presented a united front and went up against the corporation

[00:36:08] to keep them from trying to take back what we claim as ours?

[00:36:13] What are you nuts?

[00:36:14] No.

[00:36:16] Why would I do that?

[00:36:17] I'm trying to expand my influence, baby.

[00:36:20] Screamin' Eagle.

[00:36:21] You know, we're the start of the Second American Revolution right here.

[00:36:25] Hey, but you know, you can't really do a revolution without people.

[00:36:27] And if you're constantly killing each other, you're going to have less people.

[00:36:31] Listen here, the answer to 1984 is 1776.

[00:36:35] Fuck, that's so good.

[00:36:37] On a scale of one to 1776.

[00:36:41] Or it's 1774.

[00:36:43] But now we heard that there was a bit of a gang war going on here.

[00:36:47] We're looking to try and not let get the civilians caught in the

[00:36:52] caught in the crossfire along with, you know, making, you know,

[00:36:55] the more people who just get those

[00:36:58] whatever yellow birds to flip, then it won't be a big deal.

[00:37:03] We'll take over control of the neighborhood.

[00:37:05] We'll keep it secure.

[00:37:07] You know, we could be trusted and we're not going to be real assholes

[00:37:10] with people having their music real loud or too much to drink

[00:37:13] or too many drugs or fighting or shooting each other in perfectly normal

[00:37:19] conflict resolution actions.

[00:37:22] But I've heard that the Golden Phoenixes are better on the cyber side, man.

[00:37:25] They could really take it to Saigin while you're doing the on the ground stuff.

[00:37:30] I mean, you guys could work both against the middle and come out

[00:37:33] profitable profitable on the other side.

[00:37:36] If you guys work together and keep everybody safe, one,

[00:37:40] the neighborhoods in your debt, they're always going to you're

[00:37:42] always going to have somebody to harbor you.

[00:37:44] You're always going to have somebody to help you out in times of need.

[00:37:47] Plus, if you start working for either side of the corporation against the other,

[00:37:51] you can make some pretty good cash.

[00:37:52] You can knock some heads.

[00:37:54] The little birds can do their thing and take them down from the inside

[00:37:58] while you beat them down from the outside.

[00:37:59] I mean, it's a total win-win.

[00:38:01] Julian, I'm hearing what you're saying.

[00:38:03] And you're making a lot of sense.

[00:38:05] He shot guns a beer, throws a can away.

[00:38:09] Does he crush against his forehead first?

[00:38:11] No, he's too busy.

[00:38:15] Also now everything's aluminum, so that's not impressive anymore.

[00:38:18] Yeah, he's made us.

[00:38:20] He's got a mechanical mullet.

[00:38:23] It smashes the whole Keg against his forehead.

[00:38:26] Yeah, now that would be impressive.

[00:38:30] But if that's going to be the case, I'm going to need some inside info.

[00:38:33] Like, I'm going to need you to prove to me that, you know,

[00:38:40] piss birds over there aren't going to be trying to take over the territory

[00:38:44] while we're looking away and are going to need a pretty good plan

[00:38:48] for how we can infiltrate and or assault these corporations.

[00:38:53] Well, that's what we're coming in.

[00:38:54] We're trying to arrange a little bit of a parlay, kind of get everybody to sit down.

[00:38:57] We've got some juicy stuff on the table

[00:38:59] and I'm not going to tell you about now that I think you guys would be interested in.

[00:39:02] Look, and I trust you and I'm willing to sit down.

[00:39:05] But there's any any shady business.

[00:39:09] I mean, not you know what I mean.

[00:39:12] Any double crossing? Shit's going to hit the fan.

[00:39:15] Oh, no, you know me.

[00:39:16] We we've we've rode together.

[00:39:18] We've bled we've bled together.

[00:39:20] Apparently a corporate war started around something that we were all involved in.

[00:39:24] We don't understand what we had something to do with that.

[00:39:26] Absolutely not.

[00:39:27] Something to do with that.

[00:39:28] I mean, there was a death race going on.

[00:39:30] Did the death race cause this war?

[00:39:32] I don't know.

[00:39:33] I probably had some to do with it.

[00:39:36] All right, you're just shit talking. OK.

[00:39:39] But we've rode together.

[00:39:40] We've died. We've we've bled together.

[00:39:41] We've killed people together.

[00:39:42] I mean, come on.

[00:39:43] We're at this point at this point, we're practically blood brothers.

[00:39:47] Like, I wouldn't I wouldn't bullshit you.

[00:39:50] I mean, we're seriously trying to get this little parlay going.

[00:39:53] We're going to have a third party go out.

[00:39:55] We're going to get them.

[00:39:55] We're going to have a nice little sit down.

[00:39:57] We're going to come to an agreement.

[00:39:58] And then you guys can both work together against the actual man.

[00:40:03] All right.

[00:40:04] I'll go to the sit down.

[00:40:05] You're going to owe me a favor, Julia.

[00:40:07] Well, let me roll this fast talk, I'm assuming.

[00:40:10] Before you roll the fast talk, can I assist you for a plus one forward?

[00:40:14] I would love it if you could.

[00:40:16] This entire time I've been just turning something over and over in my cyberhand

[00:40:20] while I've been sitting there and he's been talking and I'm going to roll a synth.

[00:40:24] OK. With a 12.

[00:40:27] I have been engraving an American flag on a grenade that I'll hand over as a present.

[00:40:33] Oh, my God.

[00:40:34] That's good.

[00:40:35] That is a good.

[00:40:38] That's great.

[00:40:38] Yeah, that's definitely worth that plus one.

[00:40:42] All right.

[00:40:43] So I've got FaceTime since this we're working together, we're working face to face.

[00:40:47] I get another plus one on there.

[00:40:48] So it's a plus two. OK.

[00:40:52] That's a 14.

[00:40:54] Jesus.

[00:40:56] You know when the negotiation hands off, I'm going to be rolling ones somehow.

[00:41:00] OK. I'll keep the grenade.

[00:41:03] I'll see you at the table.

[00:41:04] Well, I appreciate it.

[00:41:05] Well, I have any one of those beers while you're at it.

[00:41:07] What's what's drink to commemorate this?

[00:41:09] This wonderful union and I stab it and shotgun it.

[00:41:16] Yeah, high five.

[00:41:19] I have five.

[00:41:19] It I slam it down and then I walk away because it was probably piss beer.

[00:41:23] It's pretty bad.

[00:41:24] Oh, it was it was 100 percent a steel reserve.

[00:41:27] Steel reserve. Oh, boy.

[00:41:29] Was it Papi Van Wiekels carbonated whiskey?

[00:41:32] Well, no, we're not doing that again.

[00:41:38] All right. So I believe that was a good end to a scene, Joe.

[00:41:41] Yeah, I would say so.

[00:41:44] All right.

[00:41:46] Next scene negotiating with the.

[00:41:50] Fleet clown and the chocolo assassins.

[00:41:53] Hey, Banshee.

[00:41:56] What what accent am I dealing with today?

[00:41:59] I hope it's going to say Italian,

[00:42:03] but I think my Italian accent so horribly bad.

[00:42:06] It'd be a crime.

[00:42:07] So on your note, you Brad Pitt from whatever the fuck that maybe was.

[00:42:15] I can't remember.

[00:42:17] I'm just going to be Irish as I was.

[00:42:21] Just the chip was it the solder is a little bit loose.

[00:42:25] I mean, I guess we are about to talk with clowns.

[00:42:29] Whoop, whoop.

[00:42:31] This is the hell.

[00:42:33] All right. That that was us like

[00:42:36] saw opening into the drop into the scene.

[00:42:44] So I guess I'm going to play

[00:42:47] an ICP song very loudly through the

[00:42:50] shitboxers speakers as I pull into the I mean, it's

[00:42:54] it's really how you know you're safe.

[00:42:55] It's kind of like a, you know, you're telling them that

[00:42:59] it's not pandering. You're just telling them that you're there to talk.

[00:43:01] Yeah, spray and Fego at the at the side.

[00:43:05] Oddly enough, my cyber ears are malfunctioning.

[00:43:08] The good choice.

[00:43:12] So.

[00:43:14] Who we're looking for again?

[00:43:16] Boyd Clown. Boyd Clown.

[00:43:19] That's right. He's on the third floor of this five story building

[00:43:22] in the building is full of juggalos.

[00:43:25] It's on the one hand.

[00:43:28] Pretty trashy, a lot of bad furniture,

[00:43:31] tables, Fego everywhere.

[00:43:34] Very loud, bad rap music.

[00:43:37] I actually set up for this beforehand

[00:43:40] with a backpack full of Fego.

[00:43:43] OK, so I'm just like handing out bottles to people as I head upstairs

[00:43:48] and get a lot of nods, nods in hatchet chopping.

[00:43:55] Whoop, whoop, brother.

[00:43:56] That's right.

[00:43:57] See, Banshee, the trick to like going into an extremist situation

[00:44:04] is that you need to be able to talk to them on their level.

[00:44:07] Oh, that makes a lot of sense.

[00:44:10] You know, I just thought to be a genuine good human in there

[00:44:13] to make a way and she just kind of.

[00:44:17] I laugh at somebody, a fucking Fego.

[00:44:21] A peach flavored Fego.

[00:44:24] I can't. Peach.

[00:44:27] I'm doing something wrong.

[00:44:29] Could be pineapple.

[00:44:31] They really have that.

[00:44:33] I don't know. No, I'm sure they do.

[00:44:35] I've got a pineapple in my backpack.

[00:44:38] It's all good. All right, anyways.

[00:44:42] So where's white comp?

[00:44:44] He is at the top.

[00:44:46] He's holding court, sitting in a big recliner.

[00:44:50] He's a very large man.

[00:44:51] Whoop, whoop.

[00:44:53] Whoop, whoop. My friend.

[00:44:56] Why do you come before me?

[00:44:59] Well, first off, I have to offer you tribute.

[00:45:03] I have given a lot of these Fegos to your court.

[00:45:07] I understand that's important,

[00:45:09] but I also want to give you the vast majority of it.

[00:45:12] So I just like throw my backpack over my back.

[00:45:17] No, one of the sodas explodes.

[00:45:21] Let me get sprayed in the face.

[00:45:23] Yeah, I'm not going to replace my makeup up your back.

[00:45:27] But like it's very much a sign

[00:45:29] like I am doing this as a symbolic gesture.

[00:45:33] You know the rules.

[00:45:36] Thank you for your donation.

[00:45:38] But these are in the fridge.

[00:45:39] Somebody scoops them up.

[00:45:41] It takes them downstairs.

[00:45:42] I definitely know the rules, sir.

[00:45:46] He also knows the rules.

[00:45:47] So you could see inside of his mouth

[00:45:48] that he's got hardly any teeth left.

[00:45:52] Oh, he drinks his fucking sugar water all day.

[00:45:57] So, sir, we come to you because we have a

[00:45:58] a tad bit of a problem on our hands here.

[00:46:01] It seems like the city is descended into a turmoil.

[00:46:04] Do you know the story of George Two Violence?

[00:46:14] Should I know the story of George Two Violence?

[00:46:16] Is that a real person?

[00:46:18] No, you shouldn't.

[00:46:20] OK.

[00:46:20] This is a character I am making up.

[00:46:22] He is one of the Juggalo assassins.

[00:46:24] I say OK.

[00:46:26] Who happens to know me personally.

[00:46:29] Let's assume he does know it.

[00:46:31] You give me the details and he will take the hint

[00:46:36] as it is meant.

[00:46:38] George Two Violence is a good man.

[00:46:41] He is somebody I respect.

[00:46:43] He is somebody who has helped me in the past.

[00:46:45] He is somebody who has helped my stories in the future.

[00:46:50] Last time I saw George Two Violence,

[00:46:53] I specifically told him to get out of the situation

[00:46:58] he was in because I cared about George Two Violence.

[00:47:03] Sir, do you care about the state of Los Ligeros?

[00:47:09] I live here.

[00:47:11] We live here.

[00:47:12] It's our home.

[00:47:14] Of course we care.

[00:47:15] That's why I'm asking.

[00:47:18] Now, do you know about what's going on?

[00:47:21] The beef between Nano-Link and Sigeon?

[00:47:25] Yeah, we've heard of it.

[00:47:26] It seems pretty serious this time.

[00:47:28] It's extremely serious.

[00:47:30] And that's why I am trying to get folks

[00:47:34] to help themselves out.

[00:47:37] And you too, your crew is the most neutral crew

[00:47:44] in all of Los Ligeros.

[00:47:46] So this is why I am asking you, the most reasonable people

[00:47:52] in Los Ligeros to work as mediating influences

[00:47:57] for the other gangs.

[00:47:59] I'm going to tell you two things.

[00:48:01] Craig, one, no one has ever dared say

[00:48:07] that the Juggalo assassins were the most reasonable people

[00:48:12] in any location ever.

[00:48:14] What's that say about me?

[00:48:16] Well, you must be insane, which I respect.

[00:48:20] Whoop whoop.

[00:48:22] Now, we will do this thing, but not for free.

[00:48:27] What do you offer us?

[00:48:29] We care about the city.

[00:48:31] We live here, which is why we're willing to do this at all.

[00:48:36] But I cannot require the members to put their lives

[00:48:45] in line without compensation.

[00:48:47] Now, I can't offer you anything physical.

[00:48:51] I'm sorry.

[00:48:52] I would love to be able to pay for this.

[00:48:55] But do you know that motherfucker Madison Sinclair?

[00:49:03] Madison Turner?

[00:49:04] Emilian, yeah, we know that jerk.

[00:49:07] He's not a fucking fan of ours, that's for sure.

[00:49:09] Well, I have good news for you, my friend.

[00:49:12] We have him by the balls.

[00:49:14] I see.

[00:49:16] He leans forward in this chair.

[00:49:17] How so?

[00:49:20] Now, this is between you and me,

[00:49:22] and I am only saying it to you.

[00:49:25] What's his name again?

[00:49:26] Voidconf.

[00:49:27] It's Voidclown.

[00:49:29] Voidclown.

[00:49:31] All right, Voidclown, this is between you and me,

[00:49:33] and it's because I know you.

[00:49:35] You are a smart man who keeps his mind to himself.

[00:49:40] He's hired us.

[00:49:42] For this?

[00:49:44] For this.

[00:49:46] And we came to you.

[00:49:48] Now, what does that say about your situation?

[00:49:53] Well, that could be good or bad.

[00:49:55] I mean, you could turn us down,

[00:49:57] and you'd be in the exact same spot you were before, but like...

[00:50:01] That's true.

[00:50:02] We actively saw you out.

[00:50:05] We have money.

[00:50:06] How does this help us?

[00:50:10] Now, I want to fuck that guy over as much as the next

[00:50:14] citizen of Los Ligeros.

[00:50:18] But uh...

[00:50:19] Let's be real, man.

[00:50:20] You and me are talking about the melting pot.

[00:50:22] We don't care about Los Ligeros.

[00:50:24] Well, fine.

[00:50:25] We want to fuck this guy over because he's a piece of shit,

[00:50:27] and he doesn't do anything except use us.

[00:50:31] Now...

[00:50:32] He is using us.

[00:50:33] Well, yeah, of course he is.

[00:50:35] How do we...

[00:50:35] What do we get out of his...

[00:50:36] This usage?

[00:50:38] See what I'm asking you?

[00:50:40] Voidclown.

[00:50:41] Why do you think I would be talking to you?

[00:50:43] I am the most hated person in the melting pot.

[00:50:48] I mean, yeah, no shit.

[00:50:49] I know how to direct hatred.

[00:50:53] I'm just saying.

[00:50:54] Like, you want to do it, do it.

[00:50:57] Listen.

[00:50:59] We also have a pot.

[00:51:02] Now, Void, if you do me a favor and you do what we need,

[00:51:08] which I really think you should because it's important for the neighborhood,

[00:51:13] that'll be great.

[00:51:15] If you fuck over the chameleon while you're doing it,

[00:51:19] you'll get a bonus.

[00:51:21] Listen, let me think on it.

[00:51:22] Let me ruminate, marinate, and when you lay it out for me,

[00:51:27] and I'll get back to you.

[00:51:29] Hey, man, do you really need to ruminate?

[00:51:31] Like, we've been good to you.

[00:51:34] Like, my crew has always been good to you.

[00:51:36] Like, yeah, but that doesn't mean there aren't other considerations.

[00:51:41] You're not the only carrot in the stew here.

[00:51:46] Oh, so you're going to hang out with the fucking...

[00:51:48] the Phoenix Dawn or the Golden Heels or whatever the fuck they are.

[00:51:52] There's a lot going on.

[00:51:54] Hey, man, like I'm just saying, like, you've got a lot going on.

[00:52:00] I get that.

[00:52:01] But you also have allies who have helped you out in the past

[00:52:05] and who have been reliable and who are offering you money.

[00:52:10] All right.

[00:52:10] So this is going to be roll time.

[00:52:13] Yeah.

[00:52:15] What would this roll be?

[00:52:16] It's probably going to be fast talk.

[00:52:19] They'll agree to do what you want,

[00:52:22] unless you're threatening and with violence, which seems unlikely.

[00:52:26] Never.

[00:52:28] Seems like I wouldn't go especially well right here.

[00:52:32] That's a little fucking 11, though.

[00:52:34] Yeah.

[00:52:35] All right, they will do what you want.

[00:52:37] Hey, man, like, I understand your reluctance,

[00:52:41] but like keep in mind I have been your friend

[00:52:45] and your ally for a long time and I am offering you extra money.

[00:52:49] All right, all right.

[00:52:51] We're just doing security at this meeting, right?

[00:52:53] No.

[00:52:55] OK, so what are we doing?

[00:52:57] You're peacekeeping.

[00:52:58] Hmm.

[00:53:00] So, well, security is important.

[00:53:02] It's more important to keep shit under wraps.

[00:53:06] All right.

[00:53:08] I'd consider it, if I were you,

[00:53:09] I'd consider it more like modeling

[00:53:11] because the problem we've got here is,

[00:53:13] you know, we've got a bunch of wolves

[00:53:15] that are fighting right around this neighborhood

[00:53:16] and you know, this little girl will call them the citizens

[00:53:19] that it's a little red riding hood out there

[00:53:20] and you know, the world needs some woodsmen

[00:53:22] and that's what we're trying to do.

[00:53:23] It's we're trying to put together some woodsmen.

[00:53:25] You're going to be our model woodsman, so to speak

[00:53:29] and then we get everybody else in line, they toe to toe

[00:53:31] and then we take care of the little girl, so to speak.

[00:53:34] Banshee, I forgot you were a teacher

[00:53:37] before you became a race car driver

[00:53:40] because no one ever talked about.

[00:53:42] Well, I'll keep that metaphor in mind.

[00:53:48] Now, unless you want to go to the next classical concert

[00:53:53] we're going to have tonight,

[00:53:56] I advise you to get moving.

[00:53:59] The ICP rendition of Mozart?

[00:54:02] And ICP is classical music to them

[00:54:05] and they've got some reenactors coming in.

[00:54:08] It's a dangerous gig.

[00:54:09] If you do a good job, you paid well

[00:54:12] and they bring it back.

[00:54:12] If you do a bad job, they kill you.

[00:54:15] Obviously we should say, Chris.

[00:54:16] We walk away to just, you notice and recognize miracles.

[00:54:20] I think we should say, Chris.

[00:54:23] Like, it's a good show of faith.

[00:54:28] Are they going to be doing the acapello chicken hunting?

[00:54:31] Don't.

[00:54:33] Who's going chicken hunting?

[00:54:35] We're going chicken hunting.

[00:54:38] I'm dragged to a fucking ICP concert by Banshee.

[00:54:42] That's right.

[00:54:43] Yep, because I'm driving.

[00:54:44] So that's where we fade to black.

[00:54:46] There's your complication.

[00:54:48] That's right.

[00:54:50] The only thing he asks of you is hang around.

[00:54:53] The Fego stings my eyes.

[00:54:56] They're spraying it everywhere.

[00:54:58] I can feel its chemicals eating into my skin.

[00:55:01] All right, so here's what you guys have set up.

[00:55:04] Nobody's talked to the Golden Phoenix yet.

[00:55:09] You have parlayed all of your payments today into the future.

[00:55:16] I just want to make you aware of this,

[00:55:18] that the way you've presented everything here,

[00:55:21] you're promising these folks future gains.

[00:55:25] Yeah.

[00:55:26] It's going to be on you to come across

[00:55:27] with those future gains.

[00:55:29] That means there's going to have to be action

[00:55:30] that you take to make that happen.

[00:55:33] Yeah, that's fine.

[00:55:34] That's not going to fuck us up at all.

[00:55:37] The Juggalo assassins are going to want

[00:55:39] to chance at the chameleon.

[00:55:42] They do hate his guts.

[00:55:45] The Screamin' Eagles are going to want a chance

[00:55:47] to spread their influence wider,

[00:55:51] more widely through Los Ligeros

[00:55:53] and have a shot at corporations.

[00:55:57] That's going to be a little...

[00:56:00] That one is a little more variable.

[00:56:04] They'll take information or technology

[00:56:07] or an actual location.

[00:56:12] So that's what you're working with so far.

[00:56:14] You can keep doing that, but every time you do,

[00:56:16] that means you're going to have to do a physical thing

[00:56:19] to provide that to these folks before they...

[00:56:24] I mean, we still got to get the Golden Phoenixes

[00:56:27] to come to the table unless...

[00:56:29] That's right.

[00:56:30] Unless that was what the whole point

[00:56:31] of talking to the Juggalo assassins was,

[00:56:33] so they could go talk them into it.

[00:56:36] But...

[00:56:37] No, the Juggalo assassins were specifically mediators.

[00:56:41] They're just mediators and they're just trying there

[00:56:44] to make sure they don't fight each other.

[00:56:45] They're not great negotiators.

[00:56:50] All right, well, I guess

[00:56:53] do we all want to meet up

[00:56:54] and go figure out where the Golden Phoenixes are

[00:56:56] or do we have an idea where they're at?

[00:56:58] Let's do it as a crew.

[00:57:00] I agree.

[00:57:01] I mean, you don't know...

[00:57:02] You're not sure what their particular headquarters are

[00:57:06] because you haven't really dealt with them very often.

[00:57:08] Yeah.

[00:57:09] So you know where the Juggalo assassins are

[00:57:11] because you made a deal with them.

[00:57:12] You know where the Screaming Eagles are at.

[00:57:13] You made a deal with them.

[00:57:14] You haven't really interacted in a social way

[00:57:17] with the Golden Phoenix.

[00:57:20] I contact everyone else and be like,

[00:57:22] hey, y'all show up at my storage container

[00:57:27] so we can figure this out.

[00:57:29] Okay.

[00:57:30] All right, so Joe,

[00:57:33] I'm spending one of my other holds

[00:57:38] to find out about them.

[00:57:41] Right, so...

[00:57:43] In my weird ass storage shed...

[00:57:48] Private server that you keep cool with box fans

[00:57:53] and dry ice.

[00:58:00] Yeah, so yeah, you know, you can figure out where they're at.

[00:58:07] So they mostly operate out of a...

[00:58:14] Where do they operate out of?

[00:58:18] I'm gonna say a Wendy's.

[00:58:22] Not actually, not Wendy's.

[00:58:25] You mean a Taco Bendy's?

[00:58:27] A Taco Bendy's, that's right.

[00:58:29] I was gonna say a Trudy's, but sure.

[00:58:35] That is in ownership of Golden Phoenix LLC.

[00:58:43] A fake company, and that's where they operate

[00:58:47] their stuff out of.

[00:58:49] They sell tacos very occasionally,

[00:58:52] but mostly have...

[00:58:55] Let's say they mostly have...

[00:58:58] Yeah, they mostly do cyberware stuff there.

[00:59:01] I may have an in with the Golden Phoenix,

[00:59:05] and I worked with them a long time ago.

[00:59:08] I can declare contact...

[00:59:10] Just use my declare contact this game,

[00:59:13] or one of my declares.

[00:59:15] All right, so I wanna declare contact, Joe.

[00:59:18] Okay.

[00:59:19] It's kind of the right hand of the Golden Phoenix,

[00:59:24] it's named Pire, P-Y-R-E.

[00:59:26] P-Y-R-E, okay.

[00:59:30] It's specifically based on the video game.

[00:59:32] Right, and then let's say he owes me one

[00:59:35] because I helped him get some gear,

[00:59:38] or some contraband gear.

[00:59:41] Okay, that makes sense to me.

[00:59:44] Anyway, so yeah, so you know him.

[00:59:48] What's Pire like?

[00:59:51] He's the typical right hand of the king, basically.

[00:59:53] He just kinda acts as a,

[00:59:58] what is it, a vizier?

[00:59:59] He does the...

[01:00:01] He's worm-tongued.

[01:00:03] Essentially, but he's not nearly as douchey.

[01:00:06] Worm-tongued but wearing a flame bowling shirt?

[01:00:11] Almost like a Guy Fieri shirt, yeah.

[01:00:13] Yeah.

[01:00:15] I was trying to say it without actually saying it,

[01:00:17] you're right.

[01:00:18] A Guy Fire shirt?

[01:00:21] A Guy Pire shirt.

[01:00:23] A Guy Pire shirt, there it is.

[01:00:29] All right, so do you wanna meet him in a neutral location

[01:00:32] or are you just gonna say get me an intro?

[01:00:34] Meet him in a neutral location.

[01:00:37] He's almost entirely chrome.

[01:00:40] He's got a human nose and that's it.

[01:00:45] Julian?

[01:00:46] Hey Pire, how's it going buddy?

[01:00:48] I see you kept a nose, I mean that's a good idea.

[01:00:52] I like to smell things.

[01:00:54] That's good.

[01:00:55] I mean...

[01:00:56] I've got a real tongue too.

[01:00:57] Smell and taste are related.

[01:00:59] Can't go to Flavor Town if you lose the nose or tongue.

[01:01:03] Oh, if I couldn't taste any of Helen's pies

[01:01:06] I'd just go ahead and put a bullet in my head now.

[01:01:08] I hear ya, I heard she's on the move.

[01:01:11] You know anything about that?

[01:01:12] Yeah, I've heard she's a little nervous

[01:01:14] about the whole war that's going on.

[01:01:16] She's thinking about stepping down

[01:01:18] and she says she has a really good understudy

[01:01:20] but I mean at this point I'm trying to

[01:01:24] try to either talk her into it

[01:01:25] or maybe buy into the franchise.

[01:01:27] But if she's really up on the person she's got coming in

[01:01:31] then I'm for it but it'd be sad to see her go.

[01:01:36] All right, keep this under your hat

[01:01:38] but if she's getting out

[01:01:39] then it's just everything I told the boss is 100% right.

[01:01:42] This is a fucked up time to try and advance.

[01:01:45] We're just gonna get killed out there

[01:01:46] when one of these two fucking corporations

[01:01:48] comes out on top.

[01:01:49] Oh, see that actually leads into what I was wondering.

[01:01:52] I was hoping you could potentially get us an audience

[01:01:55] with the big man.

[01:01:57] We've got some wheels going, some cogs turning

[01:02:02] and we're trying to make some peace in between

[01:02:04] all of the potential fashions involved

[01:02:08] against the corporation so.

[01:02:11] It's a big ask my man, it's a big ask.

[01:02:13] Yeah but we're stronger together.

[01:02:15] You guys are really good at the cyber side

[01:02:17] and we got some friends that are good

[01:02:18] at some boots on the ground

[01:02:20] and I think you guys could come to a good agreement

[01:02:23] and start taking it to the corporations

[01:02:25] before they decide to come and take your area.

[01:02:28] I'll get you in, this is gonna square it between us.

[01:02:32] Oh that's 100% fine.

[01:02:34] And it gotta be real careful.

[01:02:38] Boss thinks it's a great opportunity.

[01:02:40] I think he's dead wrong

[01:02:41] but he thinks it's a great opportunity

[01:02:43] and anybody who poos that he's been

[01:02:46] pretty mean with recently.

[01:02:49] Well hopefully we can get him to see reason

[01:02:51] and not send you down in the metaphorical flames.

[01:02:57] Yes, the only flames I wanna see are on my shirt

[01:03:00] were coming out of my mouth when I eat

[01:03:02] especially spicy wings.

[01:03:04] That's right man, those Taco Bindies

[01:03:06] has some of the best spices ever.

[01:03:09] You know when you can't cry

[01:03:10] when you eat spicy food it makes it much worse.

[01:03:12] Does it?

[01:03:13] Yes.

[01:03:14] You might wanna get that checked out.

[01:03:15] You might wanna get some.

[01:03:16] That's like a systematic reaction.

[01:03:18] He literally can't get it checked out.

[01:03:20] He's a fucking robot.

[01:03:22] Yeah he's a cyborg.

[01:03:24] He's his eyeballs, he doesn't produce physical tears.

[01:03:27] There may be like the 3.0 upgrade

[01:03:29] that gives you physical tears.

[01:03:31] It's a waste of coolant.

[01:03:34] Yeah I can see that, I can see that

[01:03:36] but hang in there buddy at least you can still smell

[01:03:38] and taste.

[01:03:40] Oh, I'll let you know.

[01:03:43] All right sounds good, just let us know

[01:03:44] and we'll come your way.

[01:03:47] And shortly thereafter he has a,

[01:03:53] he says yeah the boss will meet.

[01:03:55] It's,

[01:03:58] he wants you to meet at our place

[01:04:01] so go over to the old Taco Bindies.

[01:04:05] Oh man the old Taco Bindies.

[01:04:07] And yeah talking over.

[01:04:11] All right sounds good I appreciate it.

[01:04:12] Yes we are definitely square.

[01:04:15] All right good luck I won't be there

[01:04:18] because if something bad happens to you

[01:04:21] I don't wanna be connected to it.

[01:04:22] Oh I definitely understand that.

[01:04:24] With everything going on with all the corporations

[01:04:27] and everything else just blame it on that.

[01:04:31] That makes sense, good luck.

[01:04:34] So now you get your in.

[01:04:38] All right who's going to this?

[01:04:41] I will say this, this is a good opportunity

[01:04:45] for any techie type people or people reeling the vehicles

[01:04:50] because that's two of the things they're into.

[01:04:52] Like they care about that cyberware

[01:04:55] and they do a lot of, I mean they don't do,

[01:04:59] they're not cars so much as like remote operated drones

[01:05:03] and shit but.

[01:05:04] Yeah.

[01:05:05] I mean your whole car is a remote operated drone.

[01:05:08] So yeah I guess we'll watch a night.

[01:05:13] Watch your seat there watch.

[01:05:14] Craig was in the car and he got a little

[01:05:15] straight wet with the Figo the other night.

[01:05:19] You didn't put the tarp down?

[01:05:20] I mean come on that's rookie move.

[01:05:22] Hey that was not on me.

[01:05:26] I'll sit in the back and pop the blow dryer attachment

[01:05:30] out of my cyber arm just be drying off the seat

[01:05:32] while we're driving there.

[01:05:33] It's all sticky it's like the inside of a theater.

[01:05:36] It was diet, I know Craig it was diet Figo.

[01:05:39] It's not sticky.

[01:05:41] Figo zero.

[01:05:43] It's the darkest of timelines.

[01:05:44] Figo zero Jesus.

[01:05:49] That is the worst of all worlds.

[01:05:51] Look gentlemen while we're making this ride

[01:05:53] I've had this bit of an idea.

[01:05:56] Maybe we should, excuse me please my accent

[01:06:00] as Figo's coming up the works.

[01:06:04] It burns my throat.

[01:06:06] I really just think that we should probably

[01:06:07] just leave the city in a little bit better shape

[01:06:09] than we found it so to speak.

[01:06:12] So you know perhaps we could, I mean

[01:06:16] if we make money on it this is great

[01:06:18] I would love to have more money

[01:06:19] but at the same time if we could fix what we've broken

[01:06:23] would that be so bad?

[01:06:26] That's gonna take more than one job.

[01:06:28] I think that's kind of the what we're trying to aim

[01:06:30] to do we're trying to get the both factions

[01:06:32] to go against either corporations

[01:06:34] or at least stop shooting each other.

[01:06:35] We've already started basically flip this gang house.

[01:06:40] So we're doing our part.

[01:06:43] Out of character what do we want to do as players?

[01:06:48] We're trying to make a peace between two factions

[01:06:51] so they'll stop killing basically randos

[01:06:55] and then maybe set up jobs against the corporations

[01:06:58] that are trying to kill them.

[01:07:00] Okay.

[01:07:01] How honest are you being with this attempt?

[01:07:03] Do you want them to succeed or you just not care?

[01:07:06] No, I'd like to for them to succeed.

[01:07:08] Yeah.

[01:07:09] Okay.

[01:07:11] I personally or Craig personally

[01:07:15] wants to make it look as bad as possible

[01:07:18] for one of the corporations.

[01:07:20] Well, Sygen's the one that hates us the most

[01:07:22] because they actually know who we are.

[01:07:23] Yeah, no, it's definitely Sygen

[01:07:25] because Sygen hates Craig too.

[01:07:28] Like I'm just telling y'all right now

[01:07:31] I'm going to make shit worse.

[01:07:34] We just need to start planning you faking your death

[01:07:37] getting out of the city.

[01:07:37] That's pretty much, that's what you need to do.

[01:07:41] We need to give Mega-Mollets some kind of a job afterwards.

[01:07:45] He wants him like his influence and stuff like that.

[01:07:48] Maybe we could find an alternative kind of like job

[01:07:52] for his crew, you know?

[01:07:54] Like, you know how like moonshiners ended up

[01:07:57] making NASCAR so to speak

[01:08:00] just by making souped up hot rods.

[01:08:01] Maybe we could find all the criminal elements

[01:08:05] for just kind of send them to vocational school.

[01:08:08] We resell Mega-Mollet on the lie

[01:08:12] that is the American dream

[01:08:14] and he starts gentrifying neighborhoods

[01:08:15] and putting up white picket fences.

[01:08:18] Terrible.

[01:08:20] I will say that I don't think Mega-Mollet

[01:08:22] is a white nationalist.

[01:08:24] He's just ultra-American.

[01:08:26] He's a nationalist for sure.

[01:08:28] So he's gonna be all about moonshining

[01:08:30] if we spin it in that way.

[01:08:32] We're like, you know what built the,

[01:08:35] you know what America was built on?

[01:08:37] Moonshine.

[01:08:39] And honestly, oh guys,

[01:08:40] it's just kind of what I was thinking here too.

[01:08:42] Just as for my character and all that in general,

[01:08:45] like, we just started a war

[01:08:49] and then we're sitting here running around acting like,

[01:08:52] oh hey, we're trying to fix everything

[01:08:54] and we really mean that

[01:08:55] I think it should, you know,

[01:08:57] like I said, if I even don't make a profit on this

[01:09:00] and the money goes to fix another stuff

[01:09:03] and all that, like, that's kind of mine.

[01:09:07] The way I would like to see things

[01:09:08] is this thing drops in the end.

[01:09:11] Yeah, we're definitely gonna make a profit

[01:09:15] but we'll hire out people to fix the things up

[01:09:19] if we don't accidentally burn it down somehow.

[01:09:22] But either way, we're trying to broker peace

[01:09:24] and I think that's a good way to start.

[01:09:28] How it evolves after that's how the roles are gonna go

[01:09:30] but at the same time,

[01:09:33] I think we're going in with a good goal

[01:09:35] of trying to parlay.

[01:09:37] Yeah, we've got the Juggalos

[01:09:38] as our basically neutral party.

[01:09:40] We've got the Golden Phoenix as we gotta go talk to.

[01:09:45] I really love that the Juggalos are our neutral party.

[01:09:50] They're the only ones

[01:09:50] that really aren't trying to make a push.

[01:09:52] I know, it's great.

[01:09:55] It makes sense.

[01:09:57] So the titular Golden Phoenix

[01:10:03] is a completely side worked man,

[01:10:05] meaning you at the Taco Bendis.

[01:10:09] He's sitting at the,

[01:10:14] oh God, the plastic tabletop.

[01:10:19] The rest of them are behind the counter.

[01:10:21] They are ostensibly creating taco meals

[01:10:24] for you and him to eat.

[01:10:27] We all meeting him?

[01:10:29] Whoever is meeting him is gonna meet him in this fashion.

[01:10:32] Well, I know me, Lach and Banshee should at least go in

[01:10:36] because of the cyber stuff and me being talking guy.

[01:10:39] Yeah.

[01:10:40] Is he fully chromed but it's gold tinted chrome?

[01:10:43] Oh yeah, everybody in the Golden Phoenix

[01:10:46] is gold tinted chrome.

[01:10:48] It looks like he has actual gold plating.

[01:10:51] There's probably, you're an expert,

[01:10:54] not necessarily in cyberware but in technological gear.

[01:10:58] And if you had to guess,

[01:10:59] you would say that the gold is plated on

[01:11:03] and he's got more traditional cyberware underneath.

[01:11:06] Well yeah, it's good for heat dispersion.

[01:11:08] Yeah.

[01:11:09] All right, who else is going?

[01:11:12] Right, you're going in, right?

[01:11:14] Chris, are you staying out in the car?

[01:11:16] I'm out in the car.

[01:11:17] I'm around the seats, getting all the sticky out.

[01:11:22] Nice of you.

[01:11:23] I'm just cleaning up, you know?

[01:11:25] Sometimes you gotta take care of your friends.

[01:11:28] So why am I still sticky?

[01:11:31] It's been three days.

[01:11:35] The Fagot never goes away.

[01:11:37] Once you've been doused in it,

[01:11:40] it's a baptism in soda.

[01:11:43] It leaves you forever changed.

[01:11:45] I have been reborn.

[01:11:47] You're filming.

[01:11:49] It leaves you forever whooped.

[01:11:55] So he's sitting at the plastic table top

[01:12:00] and four seats that are like bolted to the ground.

[01:12:04] He's on one of them.

[01:12:06] He is a surprisingly small man,

[01:12:10] but his voice box is very robotic.

[01:12:13] Um, how he says,

[01:12:16] Sit down, gentlemen.

[01:12:19] He just says in a robotic voice,

[01:12:22] fuck it, wee ball.

[01:12:25] Maybe a fee grease.

[01:12:28] It's very nice to meet you finally in person.

[01:12:31] I hear you are the keeper of the Great Flame.

[01:12:34] Yes.

[01:12:35] The Great Grease Flame.

[01:12:38] Show them the Grease Flame.

[01:12:40] And they like pull a curtain back and...

[01:12:42] Our mutual associate, Mr. Pire,

[01:12:48] said that you would be willing to speak on a matter of importance.

[01:12:53] You told me that you wished to speak to me

[01:12:55] and it was indeed a matter of importance.

[01:12:59] Yes, we are currently in a talks of a parlay

[01:13:02] between interested parties

[01:13:05] that may be willing to go up against the fashions

[01:13:09] that are terrorizing our streets

[01:13:12] in an effort to beat them back

[01:13:14] and potentially gain a foothold in their operation.

[01:13:17] Who are these other interested parties?

[01:13:20] The other interested parties

[01:13:22] are indeed the screaming eagles.

[01:13:25] Fuck them.

[01:13:27] They are very much boots on the ground

[01:13:30] where you are the eyes in the sky

[01:13:34] and the phoenix in the ashes of the evil.

[01:13:40] So we're hoping that we can come to an agreement

[01:13:43] where they could be the muscle

[01:13:45] and you could be the behind the scenes

[01:13:47] like the phoenix rising from the ashes.

[01:13:49] He stands up

[01:13:51] and steps away from the chair,

[01:13:53] reaches over and pulls it out of the ground

[01:13:55] like it's nothing.

[01:13:56] It was definitely bolted in.

[01:13:59] He tears the seat off the top

[01:14:01] and then reaches down and pulls the column out.

[01:14:04] Does it appear to you that we need muscle?

[01:14:08] How about expendable?

[01:14:10] That is a different story.

[01:14:12] He puts the seat back down and sits on it. It's clear he's keeping it up. It's not keeping him up.

[01:14:19] You're not wanting to sacrifice any of your people.

[01:14:22] No.

[01:14:23] So they are many and also expendable.

[01:14:27] So we could potentially, if we could potentially come to an agreement where you guys work,

[01:14:33] work behind the scenes where they cause all the ruckus up front and we could beat back these corporate assholes that are eventually going to,

[01:14:41] you know, what's just be honest, eventually they're going to storm us with numbers because they have infinite amounts of people and infinite amount of resources.

[01:14:49] If we could get some of those resources for ourselves, maybe we could have more of a fighting chance if not being able to sneak in and take them out from the inside.

[01:14:59] I want an animelink.

[01:15:01] Okay.

[01:15:03] You can pick whichever side, which you can pick whichever one you want to go at.

[01:15:07] That's entirely up to you. We're just trying to get a united front against both.

[01:15:12] No dreaming needs to be reached now.

[01:15:15] We can reach it with the screaming eagles of the future date.

[01:15:19] If I may, if I may.

[01:15:22] Look here, I've got a few questions for you first off before we get through this.

[01:15:27] So I've been experimenting with a little bit of cyberware and all.

[01:15:31] And is there anything that I could do that would keep me from having this kind of disassociated thing?

[01:15:37] See, I do the remote control truck. It's out there. I mean, I'm technically out there right now.

[01:15:41] It's wonderful and all that. But when I really get into it and I come out of it,

[01:15:46] I don't feel like I'm in my own body anymore.

[01:15:49] Is there, do you have any advice for that?

[01:15:51] And then I have something to say.

[01:15:54] This is a separate issue?

[01:15:56] Yeah. Yeah, this is from one person to another because look, I mean,

[01:16:01] You need updated cyberware. It is a cyberware fault.

[01:16:06] That sounds good. See, I can't go to anyone else like that because you know there's some people that help you

[01:16:11] and then there's other people who treat you when you have these upgrades.

[01:16:14] They treat you like an abomination, you know?

[01:16:16] And it's kind of rough and we're dealing with the screaming eagles and such.

[01:16:24] And trying to put, look, I'm not going to be flat out with the honest here.

[01:16:29] I think we got a good opportunity here to build something worthwhile because look,

[01:16:33] like they're sitting there for those two companies are going to be fighting against each other.

[01:16:37] So if we rise up from the ground and start showing people that what good we can do

[01:16:44] and whatnot, I mean, you'll get more favors. We'll get more business.

[01:16:48] We'll get more business. We'll get more everything.

[01:16:51] We have these everyone around here is totally disenfranchised with what's going on.

[01:16:56] They need a hero and look, we've got the we got the ultra patriots.

[01:17:00] We got you all that have been uplifted and you know, I think it's a good time for you to do

[01:17:06] for someone like me and someone like you to make a good impression on people,

[01:17:11] you know, we'll win them over.

[01:17:13] Like you these games, you can't keep doing them forever.

[01:17:17] You know, there's even the even back in the old times, the mobsters in Las Vegas turned out to run casinos at the tail end and that legit quotation marks.

[01:17:27] This is your opportunity to go legit.

[01:17:30] So that was my rambling Adam Banshee.

[01:17:34] But the general gist of it is like, you know, there's a there's a vacuum here of good will that we're going to try to fill with everyone.

[01:17:42] And if I had to make a fast talk row with that, I don't mind doing that.

[01:17:46] And you know, maybe we can move past criminal criminal criminal activities.

[01:17:53] Right. The official criminal activities legal criminal activities.

[01:17:57] Yeah.

[01:17:58] Immoral instead of illegal like like Adobe.

[01:18:02] Um, what does watch have anything to say about that because he's on the cyberdip side.

[01:18:09] I've got one play. I only know one thing.

[01:18:13] Roll the nine on my cyberware to have been engraving a Phoenix holding a taco and one claw and a USB stick in the other onto a grenade that I hand over.

[01:18:22] This works every time.

[01:18:24] Looks at it and nods and hangs on a bandolier and says I will be at your meeting.

[01:18:31] So is this a should I make a role on this or we could.

[01:18:34] You should make a role because it's going to determine how like how willing he is to like listen to fucking mecca mullet spout his nonsense.

[01:18:43] Okay, do I get a plus one for each one of them?

[01:18:46] Absolutely you do.

[01:18:48] Okay, that gives me a plus three forward. So here's why I roll the six.

[01:18:53] Nope, that's a 10.

[01:18:55] Hey, I'm glad I had that plus three forward.

[01:18:59] Yeah, because it would have been a failure.

[01:19:02] But a big success.

[01:19:04] Out of character. Can we all just like take a moment to appreciate Adams just pure fucking rhetoric there.

[01:19:12] I was really good. Yeah, we're the same and therefore you should listen to me.

[01:19:20] I feel disassociated with everyone and so do you.

[01:19:25] I appreciate it. I was afraid I was just like jerking the mic away from somebody on that there.

[01:19:30] No, I was basically sitting there trying to figure out something to do and then you stepped in with a perfect cover and that was nice.

[01:19:36] Well, no, it was good man.

[01:19:39] Well, thank you.

[01:19:40] All right, so where is it going to be?

[01:19:45] I mean, right?

[01:19:46] Yeah, I'll say neutral grounds.

[01:19:48] We can rent it out or go in after hours if there isn't after hours.

[01:19:52] I think though if it does if it does go tits up though, then we run a risk of burning hell on to though.

[01:19:59] Yeah, you'll definitely burn how and if you set up a negotiation there and it goes as wrong as it could and her shit gets blown up like you're going to be on her shit list.

[01:20:12] She's not going to do anything to you because she likes you but that'll be it like you're done.

[01:20:17] Some other options are any places that we've hollowed out with our poor activities that don't have their original inhabitants left in them.

[01:20:24] The tenement that we turned over to the people who are living in the sewer if we want to, you know, just use familiar ground.

[01:20:32] I mean they still live there.

[01:20:34] I didn't say it.

[01:20:36] We haven't really hollowed out any places we've like turned murder basements into less than murder basements.

[01:20:46] So we've gentrified murder basements is that what you're telling me?

[01:20:50] More or less but even then like it's not great.

[01:20:55] Like it's it's not so much saw it's saw light.

[01:21:01] The housing thing though would be a nice symbol of what we're trying to do with with the rebuilding and whatnot.

[01:21:08] So it's kind of a symbolic like you're here on as we're christening the ground on what could possibly, you know, be this beneficial legal crime venture.

[01:21:19] I agree. And I think that's our best bet because one we've used it as housing for sewer people essentially disenfranchised people.

[01:21:29] Yeah.

[01:21:31] I mean you could also have it at the soup kitchen but then there's going to be a bunch of people who go there for food they need to live.

[01:21:39] Yeah, I say we do it at the row house that we know because we know the ins and outs of it if things go bad.

[01:21:47] Like the beach. We had a session in first season of this where we ended up like ocean side and whatnot.

[01:21:56] So I think something like a beach or something like that.

[01:21:59] That's true.

[01:22:00] Do we have any type of storage or any place that any like inside place that we could meet near a beach and not just on the beach because security would be terrible?

[01:22:10] Yeah. I mean there's the old sailing club up at the far end of the pier.

[01:22:19] We basically need some place for the neutral parties to keep watch and like an open beach would be horrible because especially during a corporate war.

[01:22:28] We're near Seattle we could use the derelict space needle.

[01:22:32] You could use the derelict space needle. Drive down to Seattle it's out of everybody's territory.

[01:22:38] Since Los Ligeras is just part of the mega the greater Seattle megaplex.

[01:22:44] Well let's I'm sure that we they're not going to be rolling in with their entire gang you know just representatives of each of each faction because of every all the gangs come in it's going to be a powder cake.

[01:22:55] I think we can put that off till next time.

[01:22:58] All right so I'm just going to call it there everybody have a good night and we'll get together next week hopefully full crew.

[01:23:06] And we'll have the conference and then the shit you got to do to make the promises you made happen.

[01:23:14] I feel like it's going to go well like we can we can talk our way into it.

[01:23:18] It's not sure if we can talk our way out of it.

[01:23:21] All right.

[01:23:22] All right well good night.

[01:23:24] Good night everybody.

[01:23:25] Good night everybody.
