Actual Play – The Sprawl – S2 City at War – Episode 5

Freelance legend Neo Chromesleeves is facing a meltdown – literally. The chips that Nanolink implanted him with during his tenure as their agent are starting to fail. Turns out, these upgrades came with a nasty hidden feature: planned obsolescence for expendable assets. With his back against the wall and nowhere left to run, the crew is Neo’s only hope.

[00:00:00] Hello and welcome to The Roleplaying Exchange. Today we're playing the sprawl, and Joe is taking care of all this, so Joe!

[00:00:10] Oh yeah, yeah, that's my job. Uh oh.

[00:00:15] Yes, we are playing the sprawl, and the character should introduce themselves in person alphabetical order, player alphabetical order, to be clear.

[00:00:30] Yeah, took a moment. I think last time my big highlight from the previous session was I was basically getting an opportunity to sacrifice a

[00:00:40] temporary coworker to save my health and I waived their help away, and now I'm looking at my character sheet and I got a little bit of damage.

[00:00:51] And also did not apparently use my armor, so I'll go ahead and take that off right now.

[00:00:58] And that brings us over to me. Hi, I'm Brownie. I was certain not appearing in the last session, but good thing I was too busy with my membership in the Makerspace club, which got me a point of experience, which means I can level up now.

[00:01:13] Nice!

[00:01:15] Hey, it's your buddy Craig.

[00:01:20] Craig Soretta, a freelance journalist.

[00:01:24] I got shot last session after being drafted in in the last moment, so I'm a little salty at the rest of the crew, but you know I'll live.

[00:01:42] Oh, who's complaining about being shot? Vance!

[00:01:49] Van Little Bulletin, he falls to pieces. Whereas Elena gets shot all the time. Do you see Elena beaching about it? No! Elena kicks him robot Elena!

[00:02:01] He's mean. Why you so mean to Elena?

[00:02:07] I'm sorry, I'm in pain. I apologize, Elena.

[00:02:12] It's okay, I should show last.

[00:02:15] Hug?

[00:02:17] Hug.

[00:02:20] And this is Jeremy, I'll be reprising my role as Julie and Black, the fixer.

[00:02:26] I luckily did not get shot last time, and I'm pretty excited about it. Craig took that bullet, and I'm fine with it.

[00:02:33] He takes one little ricochet while standing in the shower, and it's the end of the world.

[00:02:38] But you know what? He's good at his job, so we listen.

[00:02:41] I'm sorry you've ever been hit by a bullet.

[00:02:44] It hurts.

[00:02:46] I hit by a 50 caliber bullet, coming out of the helicopter, and then a car!

[00:02:51] Wait, wait one second, are you telling me Elena is an actual robot? How did I miss this?

[00:02:58] 50% at this point.

[00:03:01] Because you know, I can fix you up.

[00:03:05] Elena still have some fleshy bits, just underneath all of the, you know, not so fleshy.

[00:03:12] Is that why I have dermal armor? Elena gets shot a lot.

[00:03:18] It's also why we can replace her armor with different colored shits, and it's like, yep, nope, that's not the lady in white.

[00:03:27] The woman didn't like. It's a deterioration.

[00:03:30] Let's get this sprawl show on the sprawl road.

[00:03:34] Let's do a little role for getting a job.

[00:03:40] Oh, no, no. I guess that's me.

[00:03:44] That's right.

[00:03:46] Let's see if it goes better than last time.

[00:03:49] Roll plus edge.

[00:03:51] Hey, it did go better than last time. Holy shit. That's a 12.

[00:03:56] That is good news.

[00:03:58] Last time I rolled a 3.

[00:04:00] All right, you can choose 3 from the following list, which is...

[00:04:04] The employer will provide useful information. The employer will provide useful assets.

[00:04:10] The job pays well. The meeting doesn't attract any attention.

[00:04:14] You cannot choose the employer as identifiable because the employer will be easily identified.

[00:04:21] It's due to job pays well.

[00:04:24] Meeting doesn't attract attention and provides useful assets. Gear.

[00:04:31] All right, cool.

[00:04:33] So, Julie, you get a phone call.

[00:04:37] This is frankly just about a week after the fracas.

[00:04:42] You're clearing up, you're getting your potential passport squared away

[00:04:48] so you can leave the country if you need to.

[00:04:51] The usual. Do you get a phone call?

[00:04:55] Hey, is this Julie in black?

[00:05:00] It depends on who you're talking to or who's calling.

[00:05:04] This is Neo Chrome sleeves.

[00:05:07] Oh, hey, Neo!

[00:05:09] Haven't seen you in a bit. How are you doing?

[00:05:12] We met him at the fracas.

[00:05:15] He was there.

[00:05:18] And Julian works.

[00:05:21] He's hired this guy before probably.

[00:05:24] Or at least heard of him.

[00:05:26] Yeah.

[00:05:28] They go to all the same conferences.

[00:05:32] Like, yeah, so.

[00:05:35] I was kind of hoping I was going to be able to do you guys a favor less time and never really came off.

[00:05:41] So.

[00:05:42] Yeah, it was good to have it in the pocket but we appreciate it nonetheless.

[00:05:47] But yeah, we didn't end up needing you.

[00:05:49] Which is unfortunate because I was going to trade that in instead of this job.

[00:05:54] But it's the paying you for this job, but I need the job done.

[00:05:58] Well, that's good thing because we don't tend to run on charity and bullets don't extract themselves.

[00:06:03] So what do you got going on for us?

[00:06:06] Well, I'd like to go over this in person.

[00:06:09] You want to meet at the usual waffle house?

[00:06:12] Of course, of course.

[00:06:14] All right, let's get over there and we'll.

[00:06:17] Pass it out.

[00:06:19] All right.

[00:06:21] Bring whoever you want. I'm not worried.

[00:06:22] Okay, well, I mean at this point you've basically met the whole team. So yeah.

[00:06:28] All right, we'll meet you there.

[00:06:32] Okay guys, who's going?

[00:06:34] Chop liver report again, but I can be in the background being unnoticed.

[00:06:38] You will actually be very useful because the thing with with Neo Chrome sleeves is that he's all chromed up.

[00:06:46] Yeah, we're definitely going to need your expertise on this one watch.

[00:06:49] This guy's more cyber than man and when you remove a chip, then he stops being more cyber than man.

[00:06:55] I call shotgun, but let's go on. Let's get going or meet at the waffle house. You know the good waffle house.

[00:07:02] We have to go in and say hi to

[00:07:05] to the to the late, the lovely patron. Sorry.

[00:07:10] Terries are Jenny.

[00:07:13] What? Terries are Jenny's.

[00:07:16] It is Helen's here. Hold shotgun.

[00:07:20] Got it got it.

[00:07:23] Wow.

[00:07:25] Sorry for the cough guys. I've still got a little bit of apparently ash in my throat from the old sewer excursion so I'll work around and I'll work around it.

[00:07:35] That's all right. Say you all head out to the old to Helen's waffle house.

[00:07:41] It is, um,

[00:07:42] say it's chocolate cream pie day and he's waiting for you the usual, uh,

[00:07:51] an usual spot.

[00:07:54] There's a sit down folks. It's going to be a weird one.

[00:07:58] I mean we tend to have weird as our specialty so we have anything in our specialty that will get us hired.

[00:08:05] Yeah, that's right. Sorry. You want me to ride a motorcycle while juggling? I got you.

[00:08:09] Uh, so he's sitting there. He has a coffee is not drinking it.

[00:08:16] What's wrong? You look like you're a little down there. Mr. Clone's the chrome sleeves.

[00:08:23] Yeah, so make a little bit of a story to tell.

[00:08:31] I got some problems with my chips.

[00:08:35] I know it's made the rounds of the take the chips out and got anything.

[00:08:44] But, uh,

[00:08:47] I'm running some issues.

[00:08:50] I used to work for

[00:08:53] Natalie Link job for you guys get in there. They should have a,

[00:09:00] uh,

[00:09:01] uh, God, hold on.

[00:09:04] All right. Uh, uh, oh God, what is it called?

[00:09:10] You need me spare chips reaching my pocket?

[00:09:14] I don't need that's the last thing I need man really.

[00:09:18] Uh, brain scan they'll have a brain scan before

[00:09:22] from before I went freelance.

[00:09:27] Are you sure I'm reaching my pocket and I'd jangle the, uh,

[00:09:31] the keychain full of random chips like a janitor?

[00:09:36] Hey, hey, no, it's not. It's not good. No. Thank you.

[00:09:41] Hey, yeah, what's your name?

[00:09:46] My, I mean, my name is Neo Johnson but I go by Neo Chrome sleeves.

[00:09:52] Your name is actually Neo Johnson.

[00:09:56] Yeah.

[00:09:58] All right, I'm just making sure it's like if we're going to like look into this for you,

[00:10:02] we need to know your actual factual name.

[00:10:06] Uh, it's all on this, on the chip. This one not, not any of those.

[00:10:11] It's, uh, it's all on the chip.

[00:10:14] Hey, can I get a coffee? He hasn't drunk his coffee yet. Can I get a coffee over here?

[00:10:18] Yeah man, you got, you got one right in front of you buddy. It's still nice and hot.

[00:10:22] We get you refill. Helen, can we, can we get a refill for my friend Mr. Johnson?

[00:10:26] Yeah, he drinks it.

[00:10:28] Uh, are you sure you want my boy watched to, to scan you real quick and see if he can figure out how much degradation's happened?

[00:10:36] Like he's kind of a wizard at this stuff.

[00:10:38] He can if he wants. Uh, but yeah.

[00:10:41] It's not good. It's, it's not good.

[00:10:46] And he might be able to put together a timeline and see exactly how much time we got.

[00:10:52] So you said, I, Jen gave you this.

[00:10:56] Like you, you said this is a side gen, right?

[00:10:59] No, no, not a link. Not a link.

[00:11:02] Okay. Um, let me ask, uh, who was your initial contact with that link?

[00:11:07] Originally, I think that guys did the Dave Williams.

[00:11:12] Uh, and then after that they moved me on to, uh, Shin Su.

[00:11:19] And then it was...

[00:11:21] I don't remember who it was after that.

[00:11:26] Uh, maybe they wiped that.

[00:11:29] It feels like they wiped it.

[00:11:32] All right, so Dave Williams, Shin Su and they probably wiped your memory.

[00:11:36] Yeah, yeah, you ever had your brain wiped?

[00:11:39] You know what it is. If you do, it's just like when you try and access the information, it's not like you forgot it's like...

[00:11:45] It's just not there.

[00:11:46] It's different than what this feels like. This feels like I'm all like...

[00:11:51] patched up.

[00:11:53] Um, no, I don't remember that but that's okay.

[00:11:56] Uh, uh, I'm gonna help you out.

[00:11:58] Where are you gonna say Brownie before?

[00:12:00] That as soon as he turned down the jangling key chain, I started scanning him under the table already.

[00:12:05] Okay. Uh, yes, so...

[00:12:09] Let's see. I will give you the information anyway, but uh, a role will determine how exact it is.

[00:12:16] This is probably... that's not the implant tools.

[00:12:20] It's probably just a straight mind role.

[00:12:24] Sure.

[00:12:25] I am not seeing a role.

[00:12:26] All right, so Brownie, here's what you get. Um, it's...

[00:12:29] With a nine, yeah.

[00:12:30] Yeah, with a nine.

[00:12:35] His cyberware seems to be pretty intact.

[00:12:38] Uh, most of it.

[00:12:41] Uh, it's obviously taken some combat damage and has been repaired.

[00:12:45] Uh, the stuff he's gotten his skull.

[00:12:49] Um, it looks like there's been some...

[00:12:54] corrosion from contact with the...

[00:12:58] The cranial fluid.

[00:13:02] That's not supposed to happen.

[00:13:04] Possibly corrosion due to...

[00:13:07] inexpert alignment with the regular neurochemical signals.

[00:13:12] But there's definitely something else going on here.

[00:13:16] Um, cerebral spinal fluid should not be...

[00:13:20] Corrosal.

[00:13:21] Yeah, it shouldn't be.

[00:13:24] Um, but there's definitely something else going on here.

[00:13:29] Uh, if you...

[00:13:30] You can't say for certain, but if you had to guess you'd say it was a...

[00:13:36] It's not a kill switch, but planned obsolescence.

[00:13:41] So even if we get him a fresh chip, he's gonna need some physical repairs as well.

[00:13:46] Yeah. Um, and it's...

[00:13:48] It's pretty clear a lot of his...

[00:13:54] Memory has been shunted into the artificial bits.

[00:13:58] Like he's not using...

[00:14:01] The meat brain for as much processing as he is the artificial stuff.

[00:14:05] Like the meat brain is acting more like...

[00:14:08] Now, it's time to make a very bad analogy.

[00:14:12] Is acting more like the...

[00:14:13] Uh, the CPU,

[00:14:15] whereas the...

[00:14:17] The everything else is storage.

[00:14:20] Uh, which is not exactly...

[00:14:21] You're not a doctor, but that's not exactly the best way to...

[00:14:25] To set it up.

[00:14:27] But it is a pretty good way if you expect this guy to be disposable

[00:14:29] and he won't have to ever replace these parts because he'll die.

[00:14:32] So it sounds like he could use a little bit of, uh...

[00:14:38] Let's call it water proofing.

[00:14:41] And then maybe...

[00:14:43] Like a co-processor or something to help take some of the load off of his meaty bits?

[00:14:48] I mean, it wouldn't hurt.

[00:14:51] Could I potentially have one of those in my pocket with my move of storage?

[00:14:56] Just...

[00:14:57] Uh, the co-processor? Yeah, you could.

[00:15:00] Yeah.

[00:15:01] Here, let me roll a mind and see what I get.

[00:15:03] Alright.

[00:15:05] Hey buddy, just like put this in your ear.

[00:15:09] Just for the one of his ports, yeah.

[00:15:11] No, uh...

[00:15:12] I do have one, but it's got some mustard on it.

[00:15:17] It's...it's not gonna work.

[00:15:20] Don't ask me why there's mustard on the co-processor.

[00:15:23] I mean, it happens, you know.

[00:15:24] You keep stuff in your pockets, keep all the stuff in your pockets.

[00:15:28] That's my...

[00:15:29] It may be popped up in the packet.

[00:15:30] Yeah, it's not gonna work today.

[00:15:32] Yeah.

[00:15:33] It needs to be cleaned.

[00:15:35] Don't stick it in your ear.

[00:15:39] Ah, the math co-processor.

[00:15:42] It's an SX, not a DX.

[00:15:43] It's too bad.

[00:15:48] Hey, Neo, what was your last job?

[00:15:50] My last job was...

[00:15:55] I mean, it was the...

[00:15:57] My last job was the fracas.

[00:16:01] Before that, I was doing some

[00:16:05] wet work for side-gen...

[00:16:11] That was down in Oregon.

[00:16:14] Before that, I had...

[00:16:18] Ah, shit.

[00:16:20] I don't know.

[00:16:21] I don't know what it was before that.

[00:16:23] What do you remember about the fracas?

[00:16:26] Let's see.

[00:16:27] You guys were all there, clearly running a job.

[00:16:32] Something went real wrong.

[00:16:35] Wow, they flooded the sewers with kill squads.

[00:16:41] Let's see.

[00:16:43] There was an assassination.

[00:16:45] I don't know who did that.

[00:16:46] That wasn't around.

[00:16:49] Alaina here opened up on everybody with...

[00:16:53] It's a bad cock rules.

[00:16:56] That was funny.

[00:16:59] Yeah, I did okay.

[00:17:02] You know, I got some employment,

[00:17:04] which is why I need this fix now and not later.

[00:17:08] Yeah, that was the fracas for me.

[00:17:13] What's your first name?

[00:17:16] It's Neo.

[00:17:20] Is it?

[00:17:22] I think it is.

[00:17:27] Now you have me paranoid.

[00:17:29] Now you have me paranoid

[00:17:31] that that might not be my first name.

[00:17:33] Jesus Christ, if that's not my first name.

[00:17:36] Oh boy, okay.

[00:17:41] It drinks this coffee.

[00:17:43] Helen comes over with an immediate refill.

[00:17:46] It drinks it again.

[00:17:49] And just like stares into the middle distance.

[00:17:53] Hey, Neo, I'm going to give you a number

[00:17:55] and I want you to call it.

[00:17:57] Tell him that Julian sent you.

[00:17:59] It's a doctor that will be able to maybe help you out a bit.

[00:18:03] I gave you even Dr. Frank's number.

[00:18:06] Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:18:08] I appreciate it, man.

[00:18:10] I'm working with Dr. Frank actually.

[00:18:12] Oh really?

[00:18:13] Neo, give us 10 minutes.

[00:18:15] All right, yeah.

[00:18:17] I'll be around back.

[00:18:20] Actually, if I don't... Neo, you come with a letter.

[00:18:23] We will eat pie, yes?

[00:18:26] Yeah, yeah.

[00:18:27] We'll just... yeah, we'll be down at the other end of the...

[00:18:31] of the counter.

[00:18:34] We at the end of the other end of the counter, yeah.

[00:18:40] He will provide his usual asset when you take the...

[00:18:43] he'll give it to you when you take the job,

[00:18:45] when you tell him you're going to do it.

[00:18:47] I wait until they get far enough away.

[00:18:51] I don't think we should take this job.

[00:18:55] Yeah, but I can't sit and watch somebody deteriorate.

[00:18:59] Why?

[00:19:01] Because...

[00:19:03] Occasionally, I like to act like a person.

[00:19:07] And brutal.

[00:19:08] You say I'm not a person?

[00:19:10] Man, that hurts.

[00:19:12] No, I occasionally act like a person.

[00:19:14] I tried to throw a guy out in front of Banchi to get him killed last time.

[00:19:20] Of the two of us, I probably have a close... pretty close body count.

[00:19:24] So, I can't sit and watch somebody deteriorate that has been nothing but, you know, decent to me.

[00:19:31] I mean, at the end of the day he also pays well.

[00:19:37] I'm gonna be real Julian.

[00:19:39] I think this is a pity case.

[00:19:43] Yeah, but pity cases still pay.

[00:19:46] And also, if we get him up back and running, we'll have a pretty powerful ally.

[00:19:50] So, I mean, that's up to you, but I plan on taking it.

[00:19:55] I'm not gonna...

[00:19:56] It's a democracy, not all my decision.

[00:20:00] But if you're not good with it, I'm good with it.

[00:20:03] We'll ask around and see if anybody else is good with it.

[00:20:07] I mean, I plan on taking it.

[00:20:10] Let's be right, man.

[00:20:12] It's between you and me when we...

[00:20:14] Who decides jobs?

[00:20:16] But, like, this is a bad idea, man.

[00:20:19] If you wanna do it, I'll back you.

[00:20:23] We're really good at bad ideas, so I mean, it's worked with us pretty well so far.

[00:20:28] All right, man.

[00:20:31] I...

[00:20:33] I wash my hand for this.

[00:20:38] All right, we got our punches pilot out of the way.

[00:20:41] Yeah.

[00:20:46] Well, for it.

[00:20:48] What's it matter?

[00:20:50] Let's say I'm on the walk-up to the table with everybody and be like, look guys,

[00:20:53] this is gonna be not a good... not a easy mission.

[00:20:56] I have the feeling, but what missions have we been doing that are easy.

[00:21:00] And to be perfect class with you, we just murked a guy that everybody didn't think could be murked.

[00:21:04] So, I have a pretty good faith in our team.

[00:21:08] But, if anybody else feels uncomfortable about this, speak now otherwise I'm gonna take it.

[00:21:12] I'm still limpin'.

[00:21:15] I mean, I still got a leg that creaks whenever it rains because that weather app you guys put in so...

[00:21:22] Hey, man, you got hit by a car.

[00:21:24] That's not any of your own.

[00:21:25] And by a...

[00:21:26] And by a...

[00:21:27] And by a...

[00:21:28] Can-sized bullet.

[00:21:31] Elena not have lot of threads.

[00:21:33] Outside of this crew can count on one hand.

[00:21:38] Neo Crump sleeve his friend.

[00:21:42] He is helping.

[00:21:44] Watch what do you think, you're the expert in all this.

[00:21:48] I'm interested in just from a fully professional side.

[00:21:55] I see we do it.

[00:21:57] All right.

[00:21:58] Can we do it? Can he be saved?

[00:22:01] A show of hands who wants to do this?

[00:22:05] I'm... You know I'm in.

[00:22:07] And we check back.

[00:22:09] Ah, here is hand.

[00:22:11] Who's hand is that?

[00:22:13] Really Elena?

[00:22:15] I thought we sold that.

[00:22:17] He said she can count it on a hand.

[00:22:20] And Elena, from a...

[00:22:21] Can we do it?

[00:22:22] Perspective, yeah.

[00:22:23] I mean, we just need someone to do a little bit of work up top to seal that leak he's got going on.

[00:22:28] Need to augment his processing power and get those restored chips that he needs.

[00:22:34] I think it's possible.

[00:22:38] It doesn't seem like it's going to be our normal smash and bang.

[00:22:41] It's going to be more of a get in, get out, get what we need and then hopefully leave quietly.

[00:22:46] I'm already going to spend one of my reporter links.

[00:22:50] Okay.

[00:22:51] The first we should tell Neo that we are taking job, yes.

[00:22:55] Yes, that's up to you all.

[00:22:58] I'm already on the job.

[00:23:02] Alright, so what are you doing with him?

[00:23:04] Alright, I'm going to walk over to wherever Neo is at and be like,

[00:23:07] I'm an Iron Man.

[00:23:08] We're in.

[00:23:09] Just make sure you keep having Dr. Frank,

[00:23:12] Monteteria.

[00:23:13] So, you know, we're not walking and walking back and you're laying there drooling by the time we get back.

[00:23:18] If you end up having any...

[00:23:20] If you end up...

[00:23:22] Your timetable ends up accelerating.

[00:23:25] You let us know.

[00:23:26] So we know to accelerate our timetable.

[00:23:28] We want to get you through this, Bob.

[00:23:30] Obviously it's going to have to pay because we don't work for free but we also want to see you walk out on the other end of this.

[00:23:36] I got my fuck off money all saved up.

[00:23:41] It's not worth anything to me if I can't think to enjoy it so yeah, I could pay wise.

[00:23:49] Alright, well, we need all the information you can remember or got written down or scratched down on a piece of paper or something.

[00:23:55] So, you know what it's like.

[00:23:57] I've still got...

[00:23:59] I still got...

[00:24:01] Wow.

[00:24:03] Hold on.

[00:24:05] Let me...

[00:24:06] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:24:08] I need your name, date of birth and social security number.

[00:24:12] Okay.

[00:24:14] Yeah, I keep that on a separate document.

[00:24:18] We need this forage.

[00:24:19] Forage you a file.

[00:24:23] And so you're going to need...

[00:24:29] You're going to need one of these.

[00:24:31] I need like slides.

[00:24:33] It takes a glove out of this pocket and slides it over to you, Jeremy.

[00:24:38] So they used to use old-fashioned tan scanners because they plant their guys.

[00:24:47] Almost everybody works there.

[00:24:49] It's got a...

[00:24:51] Jesus, cyberlimbs.

[00:24:56] Cyberlimbs and, you know, cyberhands with their particular readout marks on them.

[00:25:04] So if you wear this glove it'll do it.

[00:25:06] I've had to break into there before I had it made.

[00:25:10] It's adaptable.

[00:25:13] You should be able to use it to get in and out.

[00:25:16] Is there any times to wear...

[00:25:18] Is there any times to wear like securities a little, like a...

[00:25:21] Like a shift change or like do you know anybody that may be able to be on the take that we can potentially pay to...

[00:25:27] To drop some cameras, you know, forget some cards.

[00:25:31] Not be their post for a bit.

[00:25:33] Most of the people I know there are too professional to interfere.

[00:25:40] So I don't know what to tell you about that.

[00:25:46] On the upside, the thing that I learned at my makerspace was how to bypass security measures.

[00:25:53] Nice.

[00:25:54] And also potentially how to...

[00:25:57] How to duplicate a glove or a fingerprint scan glove.

[00:26:03] Hi Chris.

[00:26:05] Julian, can I talk to you in private?

[00:26:07] Sure.

[00:26:08] Be right back, buddy.

[00:26:12] Let's get watch on this.

[00:26:15] Hey, what?

[00:26:16] Elena, this...

[00:26:19] I mean, I can't believe I'd never experienced this before.

[00:26:23] But like the coffee and the chocolate cream pie is really the way to go.

[00:26:30] It seems crazy to say, but...

[00:26:34] I clearly that's the thing to do.

[00:26:37] It's good pie.

[00:26:39] It's the reason why we come here.

[00:26:42] That end, Helen does have a rather large rifle underneath counter for problem customers.

[00:26:51] How comes by, Winks?

[00:26:56] So how long has it been since the last time you have pie?

[00:27:02] I know they ask you when was your last job, but when was the last time you have pie?

[00:27:08] Last time I had pie was probably a couple months ago.

[00:27:13] Okay, so...

[00:27:15] I think...

[00:27:16] Yeah, yeah.

[00:27:18] So that is the thing about the...

[00:27:21] Dimash.

[00:27:22] Of course, they're going to let you keep professional memories, but let's look at personal ones.

[00:27:27] What was the last movie you'll go see on Day of?

[00:27:33] I don't think you want to hear about that.

[00:27:36] All right, let's cut to the outside crew.

[00:27:41] The private crew.

[00:27:42] What's the discussion?

[00:27:46] All right.

[00:27:48] So, Nio's broken, right?

[00:27:52] Like, you can both see that.

[00:27:54] How do we want to work this?

[00:27:57] I want to help him.

[00:28:00] I know y'all think I'm an asshole, but I want to help him.

[00:28:04] Just like we got to think about how going to help him.

[00:28:11] Oh, I agree.

[00:28:12] I mean, first thing we've got to do is with chips in that way, but we also got to figure out how to get in and out.

[00:28:20] I mean, watch as expertise is going to be figuring out which chips to get, making sure that there's not anything on them that's going to be like a poison pill.

[00:28:27] We think we're going to grab something that is going to help him.

[00:28:31] And it actually spikes even worse because obviously playing the obsolescence was a thing on the ones they gave him first.

[00:28:37] This is actually why I brought you in watch.

[00:28:40] I'm honestly kind of worried about Banshee too.

[00:28:46] You mean the chip usage?

[00:28:49] Yeah.

[00:28:52] Like, Banshee is a good friend, but like, she's losing her mind.

[00:29:04] I think a like a faulty language chip isn't necessarily losing her mind, but you don't know her as long ago.

[00:29:16] I will say that there's a while chip bleed is known.

[00:29:23] That's a known problem sometimes when you chip in skills you don't normally have.

[00:29:34] Bad chips have been known to hurt people's brains permanently.

[00:29:40] Yeah. Banshee's whole thing is that she's losing her own fucking accent.

[00:29:47] Like, we got to be careful.

[00:29:50] That's getting dangerous.

[00:29:53] Well, on the other side of it maybe we can find something to help fix them as well.

[00:29:57] Yeah, I mean if this is an advanced case and we think that a lot of the cases with good go this way, we could learn a lot that could help Banshee out.

[00:30:05] I mean, the first thing I think this guy needs is a babysitter at least short term.

[00:30:09] I mean we can set him up with the makerspace people and they can start like the physical stuff while we're doing the job for them.

[00:30:15] All right.

[00:30:16] If you can set it up, I'll do my work.

[00:30:21] I'll do my research.

[00:30:23] I'm just making sure we're all on the same.

[00:30:26] I just want to make sure we're on the same page.

[00:30:29] Well, and also if we can get in maybe we can grab some docs and we can expose that they're doing planned obsolescence doing.

[00:30:38] You know actually release that to the public that they're sending out faulty chips with bleed.

[00:30:44] Yeah, that's definitely doable.

[00:30:47] And I mean if you want to I know you're all about taking down the corporations and stuff and you know that's our opportunity.

[00:30:53] We can get a hold of a get a hold in sign information to show them that they're doing planned obsolescence.

[00:30:57] They're doing chiply their cell and subpar materials.

[00:31:00] It's causing faulty faulty issues that's actually causing permanent damage.

[00:31:05] I can send him down a down a spiral of a rabbit hole out of character.

[00:31:10] I've already set aside dice rolls.

[00:31:13] Okay.

[00:31:15] Reasonable.

[00:31:21] All right, so let's keep an eye on Manchie.

[00:31:29] Let's keep an eye on Neo and I'm all for this.

[00:31:35] We just have to make sure we have to keep an eye on our co workers.

[00:31:49] Oh, I agree.

[00:31:50] I don't want anybody going rogue but also trust my team so well,

[00:31:54] that one is probably to determine what chipset Benchie uses.

[00:32:01] Yeah.

[00:32:03] Probably there's some nano link in there because nano link is the biggest chip seller and lose the garros.

[00:32:09] All right, let's do it.

[00:32:14] All right, we need a detailed list of chips that we need to look forward.

[00:32:20] You know where to find them does have that you can just get as a read out from what he's got spliced or chipped in and from what.

[00:32:29] He would he regularly use this like he's got loadouts for different missions as it slowly rolls out.

[00:32:37] I'm just slowly handing the paper to watch it's long as it slowly prints out of out of his mouth.

[00:32:45] That was not you.

[00:32:52] That was not you.

[00:33:00] That made me pretty except it's plastic.

[00:33:09] That was not your thing.

[00:33:12] But if it was not you that hurt it you get such cheap is everything we have ever done together been a line.

[00:33:22] I'm not listen, listen, I'm not.

[00:33:27] It's cheaper to give somebody the skill already known than it is to learn it at least that's what nano link thought.

[00:33:38] All right, so what do you guys you're taking the job right are you taking the job?

[00:33:45] Yes, yeah, we will.

[00:33:48] We've got a place for you to sit there you're going to be monitored doctor for I'll call Dr. Frank and have him sit there waiting on you like we're going to bring you home, buddy.

[00:33:56] I'm going to make sure that you don't don't get worse.

[00:33:59] All right, thank you.

[00:34:02] I appreciate it.

[00:34:09] I look like I know you're into the news sheet stuff news news stuff.

[00:34:23] But you know if these chips are fucked up there's a good news story there and I mean also like if you get my file or whatever I did a lot of stuff then nano link wouldn't want known.

[00:34:38] So if you get to make some bones out of that that's okay, I don't care.

[00:34:43] I just get hold.

[00:34:46] Okay, that's a little creepy.

[00:34:51] Where are we going?

[00:34:54] All right anyways okay.

[00:35:01] Banshee you usually lead the way here.

[00:35:08] Well, I'm sure you two usually lead the way.

[00:35:15] Let's go.

[00:35:20] I guess we go.

[00:35:23] Right and we wander out into the night to screw over nano link for our friends.

[00:35:30] And for money.

[00:35:34] That's right.

[00:35:39] We can pull things can be true.

[00:35:44] That's true.

[00:35:47] I'm going to spend a point.

[00:35:52] To make something really painful for an annealing Joe.

[00:35:59] Come up with it.

[00:36:03] I'm going to put that footage of those dudes getting killed.

[00:36:10] They do hire out they do do some light mercenary work with their like boarded up hitsquads.

[00:36:20] And you could really tank their their mercenary stock by releasing how easily they got taken down by one fucking sniper.

[00:36:30] And then how professional squad faces blurred of course manage to blow that dude up without even thinking too hard about.

[00:36:41] That would be pretty bad.

[00:36:43] Yeah, we're good at our jobs.

[00:36:48] Hey.

[00:36:51] Hey.

[00:36:54] Hey what?

[00:36:55] Hey Julian.

[00:36:56] Hey what?

[00:36:58] Yes Craig.

[00:37:01] Should I release this?

[00:37:08] I mean should we release it as a as a as a distraction when we actually start the job or do you want to get him pissed good and pissed off right at the beginning.

[00:37:17] It'd be really fucking funny either way.

[00:37:21] I say we release it whenever we're trying to do something so they're running around like crazy people trying to do damage control as opposed to starting it early and then wondering what's going on early.

[00:37:35] But you can put it together like that's going to be the thing when you when you're ready to let it go you got it.

[00:37:41] Okay, I'll work on editing them.

[00:37:50] It'll be our fun time problem.

[00:37:54] Alright so like work is it 12 o'clock?

[00:37:59] Okay.

[00:38:01] So other folks.

[00:38:04] What's your ideas?

[00:38:06] Tell me where to call tell me who to call.

[00:38:09] Well did did Neo tell us give us any leads on where these just might be located start out with it seems like he kind of knew.

[00:38:19] It feels like Neil lost memory.

[00:38:23] He knows you got to go into the manano links main database which is going to be at their men headquarters here.

[00:38:30] They should have a whole brain scan what he's not looking for chips.

[00:38:35] I look for more better chips what he's looking for is something to restore his brain to its original state.

[00:38:42] But also if a sack of chips happen to you know I mean he wouldn't turn it down well I'm not even saying for him because I don't know if Neo can really pay for too much of this help we got to make some money on the backside.

[00:38:54] I mean his his his paid seems like it's going to be pretty good like he is he's indicated that the pay is high but yeah if you want to make some money on the back end that's cool too.

[00:39:07] Also out of character I still have a back door into nano link sure do.

[00:39:16] Just as you know Mr Wizard that's right that is also true.

[00:39:21] Unless you release that footage and then that's going to destroy it.

[00:39:26] If you wait until you're there that might you know that may cause a distraction there but if you release the footage first they're going to know who it's from.

[00:39:35] I wonder if we could use that as our in.

[00:39:38] It's like releasing it out is a well either as a bribe or.

[00:39:44] Spin it in such a way where they look like the heroes.

[00:39:47] Hey my name is wizard I am the VP of social marketing for the.

[00:39:57] Social media game.

[00:40:01] You know who you know who have elevated access to systems VPs.

[00:40:07] We can get into that we get into that guy's office I bet.

[00:40:11] We could somehow log into his machine and get access to the data we need that way.

[00:40:20] We need to get in the building first of course I don't think you want to use your back door on that can we maybe.

[00:40:27] Find somebody who works for them out on the town and maybe either steal them or their credentials to get into the building.

[00:40:39] I'm sure we could.

[00:40:42] Yeah that would be hit in the street.

[00:40:45] Is there any way I can use my surveillance team to.

[00:40:48] Yeah absolutely right this is exactly what they're for.

[00:40:52] Find somebody who works for nano link preferably in the sea sweet.

[00:40:57] That's right someone that's mostly unnoticeable but also high enough to.

[00:41:03] To have access to things so one of their system is there seen as plumbing but they have.

[00:41:08] Elven access that sounds good exactly it's kind of like a janitor anywhere else you can you can be a bum off the street and be a janitor and have access to literally everything.

[00:41:18] That's true.

[00:41:21] Except they will also have no no problem killing you that's also true.

[00:41:28] All right we'll just like a janitor just like a janitor.

[00:41:33] That would be an eight for hit the streets.

[00:41:37] All right yeah so um it takes a couple days but your your surveillance team finds that.

[00:41:49] There let's see.

[00:41:56] Not their top level guy but like one of the highly placed assistant administrators.

[00:42:03] Like to spend some time in some dive bars down in the melting pot where you guys hang.

[00:42:10] He's deep into techno metal which makes him a terrible person and.

[00:42:18] So he he shows up for for bands there.

[00:42:22] He hasn't been there in the past couple weeks but.

[00:42:28] You know let's see up next time he shows up we just take him out.

[00:42:36] Wow just kill him that seems contrary to the plan no no we just knock him out.

[00:42:44] I was still on tour we can probably get there probably coming in the town yeah who was it.

[00:42:50] Manestress.

[00:42:52] Sure well I guess what I could do is if that's the route we're wanting to go like I could.

[00:43:00] I could declare contact as a part one of the people in the band and be like hey man I heard you are a big fan so you know go back stage and then somebody basically Nick is pocket while he's back there.

[00:43:11] I got on over people.

[00:43:13] Yeah yeah that would make sense or just taking out back and beat shit as far as I'm concerned but it's.

[00:43:21] I mean you could you could beat the shit out of them and just like the yeah the mosh pit he got to cut up right.

[00:43:28] I like your original plan where someone gets his physical access token from his pocket and then he just goes on a bender with the band.

[00:43:36] That's also true he could be gone for a couple days and.

[00:43:40] Yeah he he accidentally turns into a roadie for minutes a roadie for the band and then he wakes up in Michigan is like what the fuck did I get here.

[00:43:51] What this is my life they are yes it was a good life I was making a lot of money back there but.

[00:43:58] Actually you know what.

[00:44:01] I'm down do it.

[00:44:04] I mean is anybody everybody else go with this plan or anybody else want to chime in and do anything because I don't want to eat up all the scenery but no that's really not good with that.

[00:44:14] To be fair I was thinking that we're really deterred into it hey Alayda we need to ask this bad does this fist smell like chloroform that's right I cast fist and it was super effective.

[00:44:25] And this is only one of the steps of getting in and getting out so yeah this is good.

[00:44:31] Alright I guess I'm just going to go ahead and declare contact then okay so what is this guy's name and what band is he in.

[00:44:38] Fixies are still there they've turned into techno metal now Jesus.

[00:44:44] Where is my mind indeed Frank Frank black eyes.

[00:44:50] Tommy Tempest with the maelstrom.

[00:44:55] I mean those are all good I like Tommy Tempest myself.

[00:44:59] Tommy Tempest has a good dream to get it be pixie's with an eye and it is a one and seven.

[00:45:05] And a three it makes it hacker right.

[00:45:09] I'm sorry Adam what the fuck in the dystopian future letters and numbers can both be used in names that's right.

[00:45:19] That's right.

[00:45:22] So Tommy Tempest it with maelstrom.

[00:45:30] So you get him on the horn.

[00:45:32] Blow a call into him.

[00:45:34] It's alright.

[00:45:35] Julian.

[00:45:36] Hey Mr. Tempest how are you doing buddy it's been a long time I heard you were down.

[00:45:41] Yeah and a couple days.

[00:45:43] Listen I would have meant to call you anyway we're going to need protection.

[00:45:47] Yeah you know the use.

[00:45:49] Maybe others.

[00:45:51] We got you covered I got a one person gang if you want to if you really want to really want some dangerous two dangerous.

[00:45:59] We just want somebody to look stand there looking intimidating and probably be able to handle anything that comes up.

[00:46:05] Okay I mean I got that cover too but I got the leader of the security force if you really want to meet her.

[00:46:12] She in detect metal.

[00:46:14] Hey hey Lane are you in detect no metal.

[00:46:19] If pay is good I am into whatever music can always on sound dampen or he is not good.

[00:46:28] Well she's a connoisseur and she's loyal to whoever's paying her so that's why I pay her.

[00:46:34] We can't afford that.

[00:46:37] But I got a friend that's coming in.

[00:46:40] Well do we ever put a name to this guy?

[00:46:43] He has no name as of yet.

[00:46:45] Okay he is unnamed.

[00:46:48] Anybody go to good name?

[00:46:50] I will go to Don John.

[00:46:52] What did you call him?

[00:46:55] Two.

[00:46:56] Two.

[00:46:57] Two.

[00:46:58] And Sue.

[00:46:59] And Sue.

[00:47:00] And next to me.

[00:47:01] Yeah yeah TSU.

[00:47:02] Yeah TSU he's a invasion descent.

[00:47:05] All right yeah yeah yeah.

[00:47:08] Yeah I got a friend name Sue he's a huge huge fan of yours.

[00:47:15] He's a he tend to only come in whenever he hears bands that he likes are coming into town.

[00:47:19] He's going to be there so I wanted to see if I could arrange some type of backstage interaction with you guys because you know I.

[00:47:26] Yeah what one friend Revin and other friends back in.

[00:47:31] Yeah I have a good time.

[00:47:33] Today you a favor do you owe them.

[00:47:38] I mean let's go with me on them a favor why not?

[00:47:41] Okay so yeah we'll do it but this will be two you owe us.

[00:47:48] How about we get to the LA?

[00:47:51] That's true that's true.

[00:47:53] We're going to need the role a little deeper than we typically do.

[00:47:57] We finally have a big shot but if we have a blow up like we did.

[00:48:02] Out in Brooklyn where you know all those people died like that's not going to help our career mostly.

[00:48:10] Yeah I mean it only goes so far I mean there's no such thing as bad publicity but when people are afraid to come to the show.

[00:48:16] Fucking years ago though and well people remember.

[00:48:21] I mean it's the corpse that we're trying to look we're trying to go legit.

[00:48:26] So.

[00:48:27] God damn years.

[00:48:32] All right hey Elena I need you to work security is that okay.

[00:48:38] That is good.

[00:48:41] Alright well yeah if you're going to get us somebody serious for free then yeah we'll definitely get this guy in the back no questions.

[00:48:47] Hey you said you didn't want to want an incident like last time and I've got the troubleshooter already on staff so.

[00:48:54] You'll point at trouble a shoot.

[00:48:56] Hey that's works you let us you you I'll have her renovated rendezvous with your with your already backstage people and we'll go from there.

[00:49:07] Alright that's great so to like how.

[00:49:12] How serious.

[00:49:16] Like how backstage is this guy supposed to get well I mean take him out have a good time with him help he's he rolls pretty fat make him pay for the making pay for the drinks.

[00:49:28] But no my boy Sue he rolls pretty deep he's got a pretty decent payroll so I have see how far as well it can get with drinks because he's a big fan of yours and I'm sure he'll be happy to buy rounds.

[00:49:42] I haven't had to you yes miss Banshee what's up well why don't we just take it why don't we take everybody for a little bit of a ride and then I hit mute on the phone.

[00:49:50] It is somebody could pick his pocket from the back of the car and then we could drop him off the show and never done.

[00:49:57] Like you're hiding a trunk.

[00:50:00] That's true but he's also probably drives himself considering he goes into the slums.

[00:50:06] Yeah he's he's got.

[00:50:09] Banshee you've definitely like run of these guys before it's not you'd have that would be like a job not a job job but you have to be like okay we're gonna get into his car and Rick it so it's going to take him for a ride.

[00:50:23] Easiest easiest thing to do is just have a lane a pat him down when he goes backstage and covertly take it off of him.

[00:50:29] That's what I was thinking.

[00:50:32] Anyway there are definitely willing to get this guy good and fuck the up.

[00:50:38] Okay.

[00:50:41] Given the full band experience and then instead of oh no I got my pocket picked it's oh man I lost my security card somewhere two days later.

[00:50:53] Alright so you show up it's a real.

[00:51:03] The bar is too small for this band.

[00:51:07] Anyone who's ever been at any show at a bar understands what I mean.

[00:51:13] They have huge amps. The stage is about 10 by 20 feet and the 20 feet is depth not width.

[00:51:25] The drummer is basically right on top of the rest of the players or the rest of the instrument the rest of the band.

[00:51:37] It's crowded it wreaks. There's a lot of real oniony stink in here.

[00:51:46] Everybody is already drunk or high or both and the band is tuning up in the background and even the completely packed nature of this tiny corner bar with a stage is not going to be enough to dead.

[00:52:06] The sound you just from the way they're testing it you can tell you'd be able to hear this concert from two blocks away.

[00:52:14] From experience the most pleasant part of that place is going to be the bathroom probably the quietest room in the house.

[00:52:22] We're backstage which is where we're going to be.

[00:52:26] For Elena Elena's going to be standing like just off stage.

[00:52:30] That's right staring into the crowd daring them to come up.

[00:52:33] Yes.

[00:52:36] All right and you see your mark come in and we will dig is actually quick daring to come up.

[00:52:45] All right Elena you know what to do make sure he doesn't get back without giving him a good pat down.

[00:52:51] You know check for weapons quote unquote and then you know letting backstage and we'll go from there.

[00:52:58] Just to make sure that he knows I'm serious the first fan that tries to rush the stage is going to get a kick on the teeth.

[00:53:06] Yes and then he gets close it's hold up a hand gesture for his backstage pass.

[00:53:16] He's going to get padded out extremely roughly but he's on yeah right he's going to get his pockets thoroughly picked.

[00:53:24] Okay so give me let's see this should probably be sent for you Elena.

[00:53:36] It's an action of delicacy.

[00:53:42] If you fail it just means he's going to know when it happened well yes he'll never know where he lost this bench.

[00:53:50] He lost it in the pit he lost it drunk he lost it Michigan somewhere.

[00:53:54] They're playing super loud they're screaming into the microphones there's the sound of old electronics buzzing.

[00:54:04] But they're buzzing in tune.

[00:54:06] They're buzzing in tune yes.

[00:54:11] It's very chaotic there's a you've kicked many faces in so far Elena.

[00:54:17] Although you had to kick three but that's still a lot even for you.

[00:54:21] I think it's a Tuesday but to be fair these guys were probably also lighting up it's like isn't my turn to get kicked.

[00:54:29] Yeah all right all right let's get kicked by this hot lady.

[00:54:35] Yeah you pick his pocket expert lazy comes up nice slides into the back and he's watching it from backstage and he's like

[00:54:45] skanking out these rowing fists and kicking air and crashing into the instruments and apologizing and saying don't worry I'll pay by you new ones.

[00:54:55] The band's rhodes are like I fucking hate this guy we're gonna fuck him up so bad.

[00:55:01] It's a good time had by all anyone who was not wearing earplugs Craig if you didn't turn off your cyber ears.

[00:55:13] Yeah you're gonna have some problems for like a day.

[00:55:19] Mop.

[00:55:21] Temporary tonight is.

[00:55:25] So it sounds like we saw getting into the building.

[00:55:29] He is going to disappear with the band for like a week.

[00:55:34] I was gonna say he's just gonna follow them around as after they leave town partially because he's not even sure what's going on yeah.

[00:55:45] And then because he's gonna be afraid to get back because he lost his system access guard and anybody could have it and it could ruin his career.

[00:55:56] Or possibly cause his death needs to be good and drunk for a couple days so we can have access to it so he doesn't call it in and say he's missing.

[00:56:04] He's he's on the shelf for sure okay you guys got a week before he's gonna make bite the bullet he's traveling with the dead is what you're saying yeah yeah.

[00:56:15] Now the next thing that we need is something to keep us from getting caught on the surveillance equipment inside the building.

[00:56:22] And for that what we really need is a let's call it a remote control looper just a little handheld device you pointed at a camera and it just loops the last little bit that was on it so we can pass by safely.

[00:56:35] I like it.

[00:56:36] I think I can make that with bypass and customizer and I can use my cyber arm to get a plus one forward nice.

[00:56:44] Does that sound acceptable?

[00:56:46] Yeah we need that sounds reasonable to me.

[00:56:50] Alright.

[00:56:52] I'm gonna bump the legwork lock up.

[00:56:56] Yep, I got eight on that which with customizer or sorry with bypass means I can successfully bypass without leaving a trace so that would be a successful get around the camera's issue.

[00:57:12] Yep, you'll just have to pop that in place when it's when it's time to when it's go time and you'll be able to pull it off.

[00:57:24] It looks like some kind of you know EMF Wi-Fi detector thingy that somebody who's doing maintenance what happened their hand it's normal.

[00:57:33] And then we'll be planning on using a backdoor or Craig's back door to get access once we got into the office.

[00:57:41] I mean it really depends on if we're going to depend on how we want to spin it if we're going to spin it to make them.

[00:57:46] Basically running around panic mode be distracted and that's one thing or we can use it as a hey this is what happened at the fracas and your people will come out looking like heroes and use it as a sales pitch.

[00:57:59] It's Craig's.

[00:58:02] It's Craig's Intel so I can't I'm not gonna say which way to use it but yeah those are the two options I can think of.

[00:58:08] Would the system is past also give us access once we get in the building to his computer and his log in.

[00:58:13] I'll give you access to his computer and login but it won't get you into the building.

[00:58:19] Now you need to be invited in or you could use the hand scanner but you know that's not of.

[00:58:25] permanent that's not a permanent solution.

[00:58:30] If you use the hand scanner it's going to have limited utility can use it a couple times and then that it likes to be like this guy's been all over the place with the fuck.

[00:58:39] Yeah and in it specifically for neo chrome chrome sleeves or is it just like a generic hand scan.

[00:58:45] It's a generic hand scan it's a theoretical so.

[00:58:50] So how it works is.

[00:58:58] It's like a dummy file right.

[00:59:03] Where we have theoretical employee Joe Smith who's got complete access because we need him to be the test guy that is who it is linked to.

[00:59:14] Oh it's the key it's the QA hand scan yeah yeah so there you know if you use it.

[00:59:20] There's a couple times they're not going to notice but eventually somebody is going to be.

[00:59:25] Be alerted to the fact that somebody's using the QA hand scan to get around.

[00:59:30] And then then that will be a problem.

[00:59:35] I guess part of what we actually need as well as a.

[00:59:39] An idea of where well we would probably know.

[00:59:42] I'm assuming we know where the guys offices where we were actually trying to get to so we can figure out the shortest route.

[00:59:49] That way we're not using it as many times as we can.

[00:59:53] You should have a pretty good idea well you don't know that yet you don't have any you don't have any like a blueprints or anything for the place.

[01:00:00] Okay yeah do you have anyone who's a friend down in the.

[01:00:04] At the city that would have the blueprints.

[01:00:08] I could either do that or somehow Craig gets them until.

[01:00:13] I kind of want to back I kind of want to keep the mind I know people in my back pocket.

[01:00:18] The thing we could potentially do is once we're in use the CIS admins access at the first terminal we get to pull up the.

[01:00:25] The fire evacuation charts for the building.

[01:00:29] That is true.

[01:00:31] That would give us a pretty director out to wherever we need to go.

[01:00:34] Yeah because you're going to get out fast and usually those have you know who sits where and who the fire warden for the floor is as well.

[01:00:42] You know just so they can go check everyone that everyone's evacuated.

[01:00:45] So I think I would get us his location pretty easy we just have to do that once we get in yeah.

[01:00:52] Lane it do you have any ideas.

[01:00:55] Getting in.

[01:00:57] Yes the idea is are far too loud.

[01:01:00] Two explosions and door open.

[01:01:05] I mean you're not wrong it is very effective.

[01:01:09] But not very stealthy.

[01:01:11] I mean if you use two explosions the the do music is going to start playing so.

[01:01:18] An idea last resort that's right we'll have that is on standby in case we need to make a quick exit through the side wall.

[01:01:25] We call that plan.

[01:01:30] Or I do have to do she brand monocotana can use to slice through things but.

[01:01:37] Well not as loud as explosion will take a while.

[01:01:42] So it sounds like we have a way in a way to find him.

[01:01:47] A way to access the network and a way to get past the surveillance systems the only other thing I'm thinking of is do we have something with enough storage to I don't know store somebody's brain.

[01:01:59] Do we have a nice large external drive.

[01:02:02] We can take it out not on hand like you could it would you get one pretty easily if you just bought it or if you ask somebody a contact for one.

[01:02:12] It would be better if it was one design for a brain that's going to you know I'll give you a bonus going forward when it's time to extract it from their database if you get the right storage.

[01:02:24] Mac it or medium how many credit that we just buy one.

[01:02:31] To well I mean doctor say doctor Frank's actively working on the chrome sleeves if anybody would know the map of his brain it would be him.

[01:02:43] Yeah he's not going to have that on hand like no but he could know what exactly what we need though.

[01:02:49] Yeah he could tell you what you need.

[01:02:55] Do you think you think my maker space might have one that we could you know take on loan or rent for maybe like one cred.

[01:03:04] If you rent it for one cred yes.

[01:03:10] However the complication there is going to be that they're going to recover whatever you erase off of it.

[01:03:18] You know they're capable of it.

[01:03:21] So anything you use it for they're going to have.

[01:03:24] I mean I would chip a cred in for a brain chip if someone else wants to chip cred in just so we don't have that.

[01:03:31] I'd rather have it I'd rather have it in our pocket and we can either destroy it or keep it after we rip it so.

[01:03:37] Plus is John's playing triple if we actually do it so yeah no I will have to throw jiffin.

[01:03:43] I'll throw in well you only need to so.

[01:03:53] So would a really nice one Joe give us even more plus forward yeah if you play double then it'll give you two plus word.

[01:04:03] Alright that sounds like we're willing to do that we can.

[01:04:08] Yeah no happily.

[01:04:11] And just think it would keep it afterward we could maybe map another brain if we needed to.

[01:04:16] For analysis and the right.

[01:04:19] See you right click you could making eye contact with Craig and mouthing the word.

[01:04:26] Oh banshee.

[01:04:31] I mean how did we ever negotiate how actually we're going to walk in without.

[01:04:36] I know we've got we can get it once we get in we're fine but do we ever negotiate how we're actually getting in.

[01:04:42] Maintenance jumpsuits works remain and a hands scanner i'm fine with it.

[01:04:49] Maybe maintenance jumpsuits that have q a written on them so that we have some arguing room at least for a couple of seconds before we have to start working people.

[01:04:56] If we got that.

[01:04:59] I mean that'll work like I could be the maintenance head you guys could be the.

[01:05:03] Be the crew be like hey we're here to check out blah blah blah put in a mate you know you guys put in a maintenance request have somebody you know we could also potentially pay somebody off or something like that to.

[01:05:14] Fake a maintenance request so we know we can you know to get in.

[01:05:19] Or we could ask for help from hacker man does he hate us yet.

[01:05:24] I don't know if we were retiring hacker man so he didn't actually get killed or if we were.

[01:05:32] I mean hacker man has asked to be retired you could still call him in but it's going to cost like he's going to charge you professional rates.

[01:05:42] Yeah no i'm not going to call on hacker man.

[01:05:47] My poor sister.

[01:05:52] Well does anybody know another hacker.

[01:05:57] I could always I could always ask Helen if she knew a knows another hacker but.

[01:06:03] I mean Helen is basically a semi retired fixer right.

[01:06:07] Basically yeah she's a semi retired everything I think.

[01:06:11] She's been around yeah.

[01:06:15] All right well I guess I'll give Helen a call and see if she knows she knows a good hacker that's been around that's looking for work.

[01:06:24] So are you yeah Helen will do it but you're going to oh Helen a favor or she's going to have some task for you to do okay fine with that.

[01:06:36] Alright it's good to be in with Helen even it's right owner of favor so we know if she we don't do her job she's going to break her kneecaps.

[01:06:44] We know her a little I a little job for you.

[01:06:51] So so I hate to say this but a little mom and pop competitor is still on my high recipes.

[01:07:06] Oh they've got to die.

[01:07:09] I don't want them killed because it could be any kind of a good enough to remember them I'm not too worried about that honey don't worry about it.

[01:07:19] It's like I needed an example example fuck him up real bad.

[01:07:26] But FYI they're backed by the gold Phoenixes.

[01:07:36] It's a small that small time gang.

[01:07:41] But they got a lot of money you'll know where the money is coming from yet but they have a lot of it because they they are cybered out the ass.

[01:07:49] And it's all like gold plated shit.

[01:07:54] But if I'm are you going to play that golden egg?

[01:07:57] Yeah what goose is laying that gold neck is a good question.

[01:08:04] So they're the backers so if you go in there and like start fucking shit up they're going to be on call real quick I had to add some pals of ours go case the place.

[01:08:16] The room for the.

[01:08:19] Like coffee shop.

[01:08:22] Art of being wants to call mecha moly and be like hey by the way someone stole.

[01:08:28] Helen's recipes I know you don't like that go fuck him up.

[01:08:32] I'm just going to be trading one favor for another that's true no I mean like no this is a matter of national security mecha.

[01:08:40] Okay all you had to say was somebody stole from Helen.

[01:08:45] No I'm not going to but it'd be really funny.

[01:08:52] I mean no I'm like Elena we got a job.

[01:08:59] I already have the knuckles on and I'm already out the halfway out the door.

[01:09:05] If we weren't already trading for hacker services I would say hack and corrupt the recipes so the pie is terrible but.

[01:09:13] We're trying to get hacker help anyway.

[01:09:16] Too much salt.

[01:09:19] Oh guys why can't we just recreate that who's seen from Sam by me really pies.

[01:09:28] I mean we could yeah we just need alter the recipe.

[01:09:32] Yeah spike it a little bit.

[01:09:36] I mean that's not what she's hiring you for now that's true.

[01:09:39] It's an example.

[01:09:43] So you just drop me at the place.

[01:09:47] Okay I will keep you company.

[01:09:53] I'll say if you guys want to make that your scene we've been eating up the eating up the scenery for a while so.

[01:09:58] I had to step away and read a children's book to my child for homework so thank you guys for paying the torch.

[01:10:05] I was very precious.

[01:10:08] I can't trade times like that.

[01:10:10] Dad I'm supposed to sound these words out okay but anyway.

[01:10:16] Take it takes where you will Joe.

[01:10:20] Everybody's there.

[01:10:23] I'm going to blast this place I suppose.

[01:10:26] I'm leaving it up the Ellen or Elena in Banshee's discretion.

[01:10:30] Okay.

[01:10:33] Do you motor on over there?

[01:10:38] And it's a little.

[01:10:43] Slightly upscale coffee place you know they're playing music from the.

[01:10:50] 2020s and they've got down furniture but it's all covered in leather and exposed wood everywhere.

[01:11:02] It's bad.

[01:11:05] It's got enough room for three people to stand in it.

[01:11:10] And there's a ton of pies just stacked in in glass cases in front of where you would order.

[01:11:19] You can smell the coffee is 100% horse shit.

[01:11:25] It just smells burnt to hell and like it's been sitting in the carat for three straight days.

[01:11:36] You know what makes pies in edible?

[01:11:39] Well it's broken glass.

[01:11:44] They're in glass cases I mean just the problem solves itself.

[01:11:48] They messed with Helen.

[01:11:51] Oh they did and you know what's going to happen.

[01:11:55] I'm just going to walk right in.

[01:11:58] I'm going to take a look at my watch.

[01:12:02] I'm going to say 10 seconds and look at everybody who is waiting in line rather pointedly.

[01:12:06] Yeah, they look at you and leave.

[01:12:11] Have wanted to do this ever since I said food in America.

[01:12:15] Would like to speak to manager.

[01:12:19] The person running the desk is like yeah, yeah lady.

[01:12:24] I'll hold on.

[01:12:27] It's a different haircut.

[01:12:30] Manager comes out.

[01:12:34] Recipes first ordered from Helen.

[01:12:37] I don't know what you're talking about.

[01:12:41] Five seconds.

[01:12:44] Four.

[01:12:47] I'm going to need you to roll hold on.

[01:12:50] Skill for this.

[01:12:53] Play hardball.

[01:12:55] Yeah, it's playing hardball.

[01:12:57] For me that's sent.

[01:13:00] Can I assist him by the cars parked directly across the street and it's over their

[01:13:05] car.

[01:13:08] I don't know if you can see that it's got a hidden gun on it and where the breather is, you know, on the top of it.

[01:13:12] Yeah, you just sure it's just kind of foes open and then there's the guns kind of hit him with the high beams too.

[01:13:19] Yeah.

[01:13:21] Nice.

[01:13:23] It's about to shit a fucking minigun pops out of the car.

[01:13:26] All right.

[01:13:28] You intend to carry through the violence they were going to for what do you want them to do give you the copies of the recipes?

[01:13:34] Okay, hold on.

[01:13:37] Hold on.

[01:13:40] I'm going to put it on your computer.

[01:13:43] I just shoot the first case.

[01:13:46] Ten seconds.

[01:13:48] Did they just like reach up into the you know into like the guts of the monitor and rip the back off?

[01:13:55] Here it is.

[01:13:56] Let me just monitor up and give it to you.

[01:13:59] This is it.

[01:14:00] It's all here.

[01:14:01] You can find everything you need.

[01:14:04] Don't kill me, all right?

[01:14:06] They'll not kill you.

[01:14:08] You may wish talk.

[01:14:11] Shooting all of the cases on the way out.

[01:14:14] I'm just going to make it rain glass.

[01:14:19] All right.

[01:14:20] Well, job done.

[01:14:22] Not quietly, but quietly enough that you don't get in immediate trouble.

[01:14:26] It's a surrender.

[01:14:28] They don't have the presence of mine to call for backup.

[01:14:31] Are you saying that if I'd opened the minigun up on a pie cabinet, it would probably change the situation?

[01:14:37] That friend might have done something else.

[01:14:40] Probably what would have happened is not that gang shows up but what for said the area is like, what the fuck?

[01:14:48] Who's got a mini gun out here and can we steal it?

[01:14:53] I mean, the boy scout's America.

[01:14:56] Boy Scouts.

[01:14:57] As I walk past their side that says, you know, day since gang violence, I'm just going to rip down the number and put zero.

[01:15:05] I mean, they had reached a new record of 10.

[01:15:11] Oh, 10.

[01:15:12] That's even better.

[01:15:13] Just ripped the one off.

[01:15:14] Yeah.

[01:15:15] Yeah.

[01:15:21] All right.

[01:15:22] So now you have the, you've got the recipes you bring them back to Helen.

[01:15:26] She says thank you.

[01:15:27] You want to call.

[01:15:32] Who you want to talk to is 1 800 remote access.

[01:15:36] That is the hacker's name.

[01:15:40] I mean, watch as the tech guy.

[01:15:43] So I feel like he should talk to 1 800 remote access.

[01:15:47] Sure.

[01:15:48] Connect up to him.

[01:15:51] Hello, is this remote access?

[01:15:54] I need a remote access.

[01:15:57] I need a remote access maintenance request put in for what was the name of the company?

[01:16:04] Nano link.

[01:16:05] For nano link for what is it five maintenance technicians?

[01:16:11] And then the credentials to service said maintenance request?

[01:16:16] Absolutely.

[01:16:17] Sorry, I have to help you.

[01:16:21] Give me three days and get you a dose of accesses.

[01:16:25] And of course, say safe deposit box for your deposit location provided to you with us.

[01:16:31] Excellent.

[01:16:32] And Helen sends her regards.

[01:16:34] I'll tell him when I said hi.

[01:16:37] We'll do.

[01:16:39] All right.

[01:16:40] Cool.

[01:16:41] You got to weigh in.

[01:16:42] I'm going to pump the legwork up another time as you're making moves.

[01:16:45] So far, this has gone very smoothly.

[01:16:51] Surprisingly smoothly.

[01:16:54] Frankly.

[01:16:57] We'll be ready for it to fall out from underneath us.

[01:17:00] Okay?

[01:17:01] Oh yeah.

[01:17:02] When the job starts for screw.

[01:17:03] I think that's basically all we need.

[01:17:05] What do you think everybody?

[01:17:07] And we got away in.

[01:17:08] We've got access to the building.

[01:17:10] We've got a way of getting the direct route once we get in.

[01:17:14] We're going to get past the surveillance.

[01:17:17] Way to get past the surveillance.

[01:17:19] We've got the.

[01:17:20] The upper right lane scanner.

[01:17:22] Yeah.

[01:17:23] Yep.

[01:17:24] I think that's.

[01:17:26] Yeah, that's all I can think of that we actually need need.

[01:17:29] You know, things are going to.

[01:17:31] Things are going to change once we ask for getting the building.

[01:17:33] I'm sure but.

[01:17:34] That the bones of the operation are there.

[01:17:37] That was good to me.

[01:17:40] Yep.

[01:17:41] Off we go.

[01:17:42] I say there's anybody else have any.

[01:17:44] Have any last minute things that they would like to throw in or.

[01:17:47] Any ideas for things that we may have forgotten or would like to carry along.

[01:17:52] What's the odds of us trying to figure out a little bit about that building?

[01:17:55] So we need to get in there.

[01:17:56] Do we have like a layout of.

[01:18:00] We have a way to get the layout once we get in using using the system and.

[01:18:06] Access we're going to pull a.

[01:18:09] Evacuation fire plan that includes where everyone sits and a map of the building.

[01:18:16] So what we need is we need to find the most direct route there because the.

[01:18:19] The hand scanner that we got is only going to be able to use be used a couple times before it starts getting flagged so.

[01:18:25] The less doors the best and as which is watch put it the the fire escape or the fire eggs it would be the best because it's a direct route.

[01:18:33] And you know that they'll have really short routes for the VIPs or the VPs.

[01:18:43] I think we're ready to squeeze if everybody else is.

[01:18:47] Yeah, I think it's pretty good idea.

[01:18:50] All right so let's get in and do it.

[01:18:55] It's time to move over to running a job.

[01:18:59] This is the fastest we've ever put together a job.

[01:19:02] I mean yeah, you didn't waste any time.

[01:19:04] Normally we're knocking on like 22 2300.

[01:19:10] All right so yeah 1 800 remote access.

[01:19:14] I should write that guys name down.

[01:19:18] That's a wonderful name.

[01:19:20] I love it.

[01:19:21] It really does bring back those moments in tech support where I've had the you know I had to have an outside person kind of remote ends like okay and you need to go to this website now click this and then you know.

[01:19:31] They got remote access.

[01:19:34] The old log me in.

[01:19:36] Yeah, I was going to say bomb guard but that's a no I've had exposure to that one as well.

[01:19:43] Yeah, it's connected another one yeah.

[01:19:49] Remember PC anywhere I remember PC anywhere I ever fight a family tech support using PC anywhere.

[01:19:56] Those are you listening to this in the comics section must like a YouTube video please tell us what's my favorite VNC program service you fuse just drop it right into comments below.

[01:20:09] That kind of work guys.

[01:20:10] Thanks though.

[01:20:11] Close enough yeah.

[01:20:16] All right and I need to put the golden eat golden.

[01:20:19] Peanut.

[01:20:21] Down cyber gang.

[01:20:27] As we're going up I want to I need washed a school me on what to say as far as the sound smart.

[01:20:34] Like he's not much of a research guy.

[01:20:38] He's more of a repeat what the guy that smart says guy.

[01:20:43] Honestly, if you have a clipboard you won't have to say much at all.

[01:20:46] That's true but I need to know like why we're there and what smart thing I need to say to tell him what what maintenance thing we need to do.

[01:20:55] Did we have a suggested maintenance since we didn't specify a directory from mr remote access.

[01:21:03] He would he yeah you didn't specify you can specify now and it'll be.

[01:21:08] I would say the fire suppression system and the.

[01:21:14] The escape plan as well so it makes sense that we're going to places were going on our route.

[01:21:20] There's an error in the firesperson system when you do investigate and we need to do it quick because of safety concerns.

[01:21:26] On the last audit we found out that maintenance had not been done for the last six months and the cycle is three months maintenance and we don't want the built-in burn down.

[01:21:35] That's also true. They'll lose insurance.

[01:21:40] And also I have to pay all those pesky funeral expenses.

[01:21:45] To the family of intern that's right.

[01:21:49] Oh no those unpaid interns are going to die for the family of bracket employee name here close bracket that's right.

[01:22:00] Alright so yeah get in.

[01:22:03] Yep got a whole plan certainly nothing will go wrong.

[01:22:08] Yes so I forgot to do this and I forget every time mark experience for taking the job.

[01:22:15] You can mark experience for.

[01:22:20] Yeah you can mark experience for beginning the act of phase.

[01:22:25] Did we do the bad creds thing because I think I've missed that did not happen.

[01:22:31] This would be a good time to do that as well.

[01:22:34] I'm a throwing five.

[01:22:37] Okay.

[01:22:39] I think that it'll country somewhere you know I bet it on a good run of bad luck.

[01:22:43] It will clean black song.

[01:22:45] Yeah for the matter of 11 and it's been mind.

[01:22:48] Gotta live y'all.

[01:22:50] I just watched that the other day and that movie still holds up.

[01:22:55] Oh remind me after and I'll tell you about a funny from the other day.

[01:23:00] Well I'll go last on the cred bedding because I have an idea.

[01:23:04] Okay I think I'm going to go for four.

[01:23:09] So let's see what's up time will stop in the regular chat so.

[01:23:14] I'll wait I think I will go on I'll go for two as well.

[01:23:18] That's my paying job and I think we are basically spent all the stuff that we needed to so far.

[01:23:24] Alright so I looked at everybody's character sheets and the person who has the most money right now is.

[01:23:31] Elena who put in five so following Elena's past experience can I put in six.

[01:23:38] You sure can.

[01:23:42] That seems like the best money making opportunity here.

[01:23:47] We roll out of this unscathed we get 60 we get you'll get 18 credits.

[01:23:53] And how.

[01:23:57] Okay so it's time to go.

[01:24:03] Alright so let's get started I guess.

[01:24:08] Yes all right you're there your maintenance technicians you're going to come in testing the fire systems.

[01:24:13] Flash your badges.

[01:24:16] And do maintenance on yep right security gives them a look.

[01:24:21] It's like they're good so they're going to pass you in you are now in the building.

[01:24:28] Alright watch do you think tell us where do we need to go.

[01:24:31] Let's find that first terminal maybe in the maintenance area right.

[01:24:37] Yeah so you go past the lobby usual.

[01:24:40] Well I forgot that every every one of these places a casino so you walk into a casino and then you walk into the central building of the casino.

[01:24:49] I should say the central tower of the casino which is where the security really is.

[01:24:55] And then we take the elevator down one level to maintenance for yeah and then plug into the terminal and get the schematics.

[01:25:02] Yeah you have to get because we have the the credits.

[01:25:05] That's right.

[01:25:07] You know the fire law.

[01:25:10] The fire scape and evacuation plan schematics.

[01:25:17] Hey your boy's son your boy's Sue is a.

[01:25:22] There's fire captain.

[01:25:24] That's even better fire captain for the VP floor yes.

[01:25:28] Hey that's even better that will actually be pretty nice considering he can be moving around and if it flags it just shows him is.

[01:25:37] You know checking things.

[01:25:40] So it looks like the VP's have an express elevator directly from their floor down to is that would it would be down to maintenance.

[01:25:49] That'll be down to the garage.

[01:25:53] No one level down okay one level down.

[01:25:56] Well it sounds like we have a gilded path all the way up.

[01:25:59] We just got to make sure that the old VP isn't sitting there whenever we pop out of his elevator.

[01:26:06] Well they're here to maintain the system.

[01:26:10] There escape is we take an elevator that still operates away the rescue clowns can take the stairs.

[01:26:17] Is it this why are you guys going at my elevator well we gotta check the elevator to it's part of the fire evacuation.

[01:26:24] We'll open the panel in there and just be tinkering with the wires inside even if we're not doing anything if anyone walks in on us.

[01:26:31] I think this is a fantastic idea.

[01:26:33] Alright so yeah let's do it.

[01:26:37] You go up the elevator.

[01:26:41] Up the elevator again you know looping the security cameras where appropriate.

[01:26:49] Alright so far so good and you make it to his floor.

[01:26:55] And he knows where his desk is or his office.

[01:27:00] Well obviously all of the corridors that lead to the express elevators connect to a secret panel in the back of the washrooms attached to the office right.

[01:27:12] So you are on let's say the seventh floor from the top so it's not the tippy top these are like the assistant VP section.

[01:27:25] He has an office there no they have a shared washroom.

[01:27:34] They are not connected.

[01:27:38] I mean it's all of the you know everybody has access to it if you if you got up here you can get into the bathroom but it's not like a secret way into all the offices.

[01:27:53] Hey can't hurt her for trying right yeah that's fine.

[01:27:57] Like if you need to hide in there it's all marble and shit so you know good for bullet absorption.

[01:28:03] Yeah floors are.

[01:28:06] It's a strange choice the floors are like natural wood.

[01:28:12] It's very it looks very Swedish in here like dark woods everywhere even the elevator doors are paneled dark woods that are mirrors.

[01:28:21] Kind of a strange choice for technology company.

[01:28:26] And there are name plates over all the offices there's probably like 12 of them.

[01:28:31] What time did you guys arrive.

[01:28:35] At the normal time that maintenance would occur I would say evening.

[01:28:38] All right yes so.

[01:28:41] Kind of later than anyone should be working yeah there's still people here because you know executives whether they're working or not is a different question.

[01:28:49] You definitely pass one office where a lady is having what appears to be the world's saddest orgy.

[01:29:00] That was the other band that Tommy Tempest was in.

[01:29:05] That's his old band.

[01:29:08] It's a real blue Monday.

[01:29:12] How we know how do you feel?

[01:29:15] Treat me like you do.

[01:29:18] I'm not now I'm going to get off the call.

[01:29:20] I'll see you guys later.

[01:29:23] So.

[01:29:26] But there is one person who is actually up and diligently working in one of the other offices so VP of sales.

[01:29:35] His door is open he's like hey maintenance what the hell you guys doing here come on in come on in.

[01:29:40] We're just here to we had an audit six months back and we needed to fix some of the fire suppression stuff make sure that everybody's in it.

[01:29:49] Make sure everybody's safe and everything's a tip top working shape.

[01:29:53] Did you see the worker email me about this shit guys.

[01:29:58] Sorry man are you know both sides dropping the ball not surprised.

[01:30:03] Hey let's I know look it's not on you guys I didn't get the email.

[01:30:11] Suzanne's over there having a good time yeah we heard.

[01:30:17] But you know I got to call security for this so we already bypassed where he went through security like they like the work orders in all you got to do is check and you know double check is all over.

[01:30:27] All I'm going to do is call down and just make sure you guys are square.

[01:30:31] You go about your business but go ahead.

[01:30:34] I can we give Elena the wink.

[01:30:38] The wink of kill this guy.

[01:30:40] No is if something goes wrong he goes night night yeah yeah that means you're that that will be a problem he's not really suspicious at this point.

[01:30:48] I was thinking Katana night night I mean he is sales VP of sales that is true I'm not a big salesman person but.

[01:30:55] Yeah I don't want to have a body count I don't have a body trail that we can avoid.

[01:31:01] There's not to be a body that's true we didn't have a body last time did we.

[01:31:07] All right um yeah so he starts dialing the number and then the phone gets wasted half.

[01:31:16] Oh shit.

[01:31:21] And the surveillance system in the room is looping okay yeah good.

[01:31:27] Okay the follow up is going to be Katana right to the edge of his neck.

[01:31:33] This dot touch dial I won't.

[01:31:39] I won't.

[01:31:41] I do believe you'll have worked to do yes absolutely and I think I probably would do it better with you standing here making sure I don't do a.

[01:31:50] Anything stupid you found anything stupid there is no other phone in this room.

[01:31:57] Or is there perhaps you could tell me where is backup phone.

[01:32:05] Do you have personal phone in pocket or is it going to have to risk you are you attempting to.

[01:32:19] Threatening with violence that you're going to carry through it yes all right play hardball.

[01:32:26] So they will tell you where the other phone is it is well it's of course inside me.

[01:32:36] Very slowly puts an arm out says if you make an incision right here below the shoulder he will remove the transmitter and I will not be able to contact anyone.

[01:32:48] Mister watch would you mind double checking this and making sure that he's not bullshitness.

[01:32:52] I'll use my other scanner does that check out is there a device in that area there is it well yeah I mean the device is you know linked to the brain but yeah that is where it will transmit.

[01:33:04] And I also going to let me see your maintenance port for one moment sir for your cyberware.

[01:33:11] If you can disable without taking his arm off I don't have to make this portman left handed.

[01:33:18] I more want to turn off the feature that sends an alert out when the signal is lost.

[01:33:25] That smart move and also if he has any cyber cyber years anything like that make sure that they're not recording and transmitting out.

[01:33:33] Yep that will be bypass with a plus one from using my cyber arm with implant tools to manipulate the port.

[01:33:44] Okay that makes sense to me.

[01:33:47] Is there any plus we can give him for the the shake down basically.

[01:33:53] I mean yeah if you want to like.

[01:33:57] Let's say if you want to basically hold him still we're going to hold him still.

[01:34:02] You were going to be under pressure.

[01:34:06] And I got to and cool if you want me to handle it that we got that part.

[01:34:11] That'll be fine.

[01:34:12] All right so so love he reaches over she takes his mouse pad he has a mouse pad for some reason in the first row set up.

[01:34:21] By done this and then you know she grabs him.

[01:34:26] I need to row it's my first row for the evening.

[01:34:30] See I guess it was my two that's a plus two.

[01:34:35] Now word.

[01:34:38] Mix success.

[01:34:40] All right that's still good enough for a plus one.

[01:34:44] Okay.

[01:34:45] And a roll mine which comes out to attend.

[01:34:47] You absolutely can.

[01:34:50] Great.

[01:34:51] Shut it off without hurting him and so it does not well disconnected from his brain so it still works but he can't access it for 48 hours.

[01:35:00] How's that?

[01:35:02] That's so good to hurt him but it keeps transmitting he just can't use it.

[01:35:05] It's a great if you could scrub like the last five minutes or faces aren't on his eyeballs.

[01:35:10] That sounds like something attend would give me.

[01:35:14] I mean he won't have proof that you specifically were here but he does.

[01:35:18] He's going to know he's a threat going forward is how that role resolved.

[01:35:24] He's going to remember you guys and he's very upset.

[01:35:28] We could always just take him with us when we leave.

[01:35:31] If we are going to take him with us I mean just just saying.

[01:35:36] This means it needs to be evacuated quickly if you don't murder him.

[01:35:40] I'm taking his card and this is where I get the light.

[01:35:44] I want you to understand something here Mr. Smith.

[01:35:50] Yeah it's Aiden Smith.

[01:35:53] There are two ways this could have gone down.

[01:35:56] You could be dead and in pieces all over this office or you could be mildly inconvenienced for 24 hours.

[01:36:07] Consider this professional courtesy.

[01:36:10] We are going to lock door on the way out and you are not going to be found until we are long gone.

[01:36:19] We'll put in the anonymous tip make sure that someone come to find you in office.

[01:36:25] Okay, I appreciate your professional courtesy.

[01:36:29] If there is retaliation perhaps we rethink first option.

[01:36:37] Perhaps no we go.

[01:36:42] Have nice day and remember.

[01:36:46] And remember the golden Phoenixes make good on their threats.

[01:36:52] Okay, sure that's going to be great.

[01:36:56] Should we wrap him up to it looks like he gave about a resisted?

[01:37:00] Not necessarily.

[01:37:01] I don't know what the deal is.

[01:37:03] I'm pretty sure they are going to take one look and go phone has been cut on that in half.

[01:37:09] Why did you not resist?

[01:37:10] And he's going to say I did not want to be cut on it like phone.

[01:37:14] No they would legitimately won't ask any questions.

[01:37:17] Like if some hard hitting mother fuckers roll up in here and they're like,

[01:37:20] you get two options we can kill you or you just be able your cyberware.

[01:37:24] He's going to be able to cyberware and everyone knows why.

[01:37:28] He's not a security guy is the VPS sales.

[01:37:33] Shoot, press press knuckles back in jacket pocket.

[01:37:37] Do you all want me to post up here to keep an eye?

[01:37:42] Either that or I can because I'm probably the least useful person in a tech world.

[01:37:48] I'm just good for fighting an accident or pressure.

[01:37:52] Well either you or Lannish are keeping on them and listen till we're ready to hit the elevator out.

[01:37:59] Lannish, like there may be somebody else here you may encounter.

[01:38:02] You need your ace with you.

[01:38:05] Again professionalism you should time up.

[01:38:09] Okay, what we're doing the rest?

[01:38:13] I'd like to say it was my first time but it's not and then just kind of taking his tie,

[01:38:20] tying his hands behind his back with his tie,

[01:38:24] it's a drapes down, so it's my my finding.

[01:38:28] That's not my presentation.

[01:38:30] You all go on this I'll get my jolly too.

[01:38:34] He just looks like he just got kicked out of the orgy.

[01:38:39] That was my other thought but we avoided that.

[01:38:45] Alright so moving on to the VPS office.

[01:38:49] You've got access to whatever you need.

[01:38:54] Let's find this.

[01:38:58] Now you're going to have to do an actual factual search for this guy's,

[01:39:03] for poor Neo's original brain recordings.

[01:39:08] That's going to be a mind roll.

[01:39:11] They have a lot of data and as soon as you look you realize they have a lot of brain recording.

[01:39:18] With our enhanced hard drive can we just take it all?

[01:39:25] No, it is specifically designed to store one brain.

[01:39:29] Alright.

[01:39:32] Okay so who has better mind than me?

[01:39:35] I have a mind of one.

[01:39:36] I have zero.

[01:39:39] You're smart guy in the room.

[01:39:44] Which is expected.

[01:39:47] You're our techie.

[01:39:50] Can I plug into the port via my cyber arm with implant tools?

[01:39:54] Sure can.

[01:39:57] Excellent.

[01:39:59] Do we get any kind of bonus for having ultimate system in access and thus access to all their utilities?

[01:40:06] No it's the only thing that's going to make a search possible.

[01:40:11] Here we go with.

[01:40:14] We should have grabbed that VP of sales access card.

[01:40:18] We still can.

[01:40:21] I'm here.

[01:40:23] He ain't going anywhere.

[01:40:26] I don't think the VP of sales will have higher access than this is admin.

[01:40:30] He will have less access.

[01:40:32] Now that's fair.

[01:40:35] It was a thought.

[01:40:36] He's going to go through the problem of some things that we need and narrow our search but he's not.

[01:40:42] Yeah.

[01:40:43] He was a he was two floors down.

[01:40:46] You don't have vacation.

[01:40:49] I was pretty sure he was in the orgy.

[01:40:51] The reason why it's the worst boring, boring, estorgy, every it's only mind fuckery.

[01:40:56] Oh, terrible.

[01:40:58] It's a seed from demolition man.

[01:41:02] Well, I rolled a nine with that plus one forward on mind.

[01:41:06] Hey, that works.

[01:41:08] Oh, we have a...

[01:41:10] All right.

[01:41:11] We only had the plus one, right?

[01:41:13] That's right.

[01:41:14] Okay.

[01:41:16] So here's the thing.

[01:41:21] You find it but it takes a long time.

[01:41:25] You're in the office for an hour before you find Neo's

[01:41:28] Ticular Brain Scan.

[01:41:31] So I'm moving the actually clock up to say we're 1,500

[01:41:37] which is pretty good.

[01:41:39] Uh, uh, uh, what was I going to say?

[01:41:42] We encounter no problems and make it out just fine.

[01:41:45] No.

[01:41:46] Oh, okay.

[01:41:47] It takes an hour.

[01:41:48] So you're there for an hour.

[01:41:50] The guy, the VP of sales is like just sitting in his office

[01:41:55] staring at Banshee, twiddling his thumbs literally.

[01:42:00] How'd his back?

[01:42:03] And, uh, you know, spinning to look at the hallway,

[01:42:09] look at Banshee, look at the orgie, see there's still not

[01:42:14] done, frustrated, irritated, nodding to himself.

[01:42:22] Um, it's not happy but you find it.

[01:42:28] Now, the other thing you realize is with the tools they're

[01:42:33] going to track it.

[01:42:34] They're going to, yeah, they're going to track that you

[01:42:37] accessed it and downloaded it to an outside device.

[01:42:43] There's really not any way around that if you were a hacker,

[01:42:46] they would be no problem.

[01:42:47] You'd just be like, ah, but I'll just get into the tools

[01:42:50] and erase it because you're not, uh, you know it's going to be

[01:42:54] tracked.

[01:42:55] So they're going to know you got it or somebody got it.

[01:43:00] Um, and we fake some other copies to make it look like we're

[01:43:06] after other stuff as well.

[01:43:09] If you want to just like take out a bunch of portable devices

[01:43:13] and download half-ass download a bunch of brains on them such

[01:43:17] that they won't actually, if you want to compress a bunch of

[01:43:21] brains onto these devices, you can.

[01:43:23] And it won't show specifically who you were downloaded.

[01:43:28] Who is the highest profile?

[01:43:30] Um, who's the highest profile mine that they've got in here?

[01:43:37] Who the highest profile mine they have in here?

[01:43:40] That's a good question.

[01:43:42] I think we should take that one and then some randos so

[01:43:45] that there's people above and some people below.

[01:43:47] So this guy's just kind of in the middle in the shuffle so he's not the lowest or the highest.

[01:43:51] I agree.

[01:43:53] And, um, to further obfuscate, I also suggest that we grab some of the

[01:43:59] biggest corporate minds in here too like I'm sure that they back up the vice

[01:44:04] president or the chief operating officers.

[01:44:09] The ones that have access to the most sensitive information.

[01:44:13] I'm sure that they get backed up on the reg so.

[01:44:17] How about the guy who's in office?

[01:44:19] That one too probably he's not here.

[01:44:22] Sales guys are diamond dozen.

[01:44:25] They don't care.

[01:44:27] They don't have to know what they're talking about the sell.

[01:44:30] The founders here.

[01:44:31] Oh yeah, grab that one.

[01:44:34] He still runs the company because he's basically immortal.

[01:44:37] It's just keep restoring him from back up effectively.

[01:44:42] Oh yeah, definitely grab him.

[01:44:47] See the biggest guy on the go that one right there.

[01:44:52] Great.

[01:44:55] Awesome.

[01:44:57] I will come with that person's name at a later date.

[01:45:01] I mean we are smashing a grab we're not really looking so.

[01:45:05] Yeah you just find the one with the highest most stars.

[01:45:11] Most restricted access.

[01:45:13] That one that one that one and then a bunch of maintenance people

[01:45:16] and you know some middle managers.

[01:45:25] The plans for some type of smart ape.

[01:45:28] Yeah, definitely smart eight plans.

[01:45:34] Smart eight plans grab the smart eight plans.

[01:45:38] And then next quarter is advertising mockups.

[01:45:43] I mean if you want to release Craig shit it'll we go really poorly with that.

[01:45:48] Next quarter is advertising mockups are about their special cyber services.

[01:45:53] Their cyber killer services.

[01:45:56] Maybe he'll make Craig happy we can give it to Craig.

[01:45:59] Right splice it in to be like come see our stuff.

[01:46:02] We're so good and then in the middle of it splice which is people getting mowed down.

[01:46:08] And all right so.

[01:46:11] You download all that stuff.

[01:46:14] You also receive a note that security is instantly gone to a higher level of alert.

[01:46:22] Time to leave.

[01:46:23] That's the action clock up.

[01:46:27] So I was at 1500 out at 18.

[01:46:33] Let's get on the express elevator to the garage.

[01:46:36] It's right.

[01:46:38] Is the car waiting downstairs for his banshee's car waiting downstairs or is it around the block so we have to kind of hustle to get there over in the elevator I'm dropping it over.

[01:46:48] That's probably a good idea because as you go down as you descend.

[01:46:53] The.

[01:46:59] The security is increasing.

[01:47:02] There's probably to be some security waiting for you when you leave the elevator because they have been alerted that something has happened that they did not want to happen.

[01:47:09] They don't know what it is yet.

[01:47:12] Elena go first.

[01:47:14] And as soon as and you also know that as soon as you guys left.

[01:47:17] Fucking the VP of sales kicked into door into the orgy.

[01:47:22] It was like call security right fucking now you idiot.

[01:47:25] No he was mummified by.

[01:47:29] By mansion.

[01:47:31] Oh all right I apologize I will withdraw that.

[01:47:35] Security won't be as bad when you get down there just look at me some.

[01:47:41] And you might be able to talk your way out of it but.

[01:47:44] Great response time.

[01:47:46] This will look great on the audit.

[01:47:48] Talky character.

[01:47:50] Yes it will.

[01:47:53] That's not me by the way rise inspection.

[01:47:58] Have that work already yeah.

[01:48:02] All right give your best shot you doors open.

[01:48:06] And you you could see a security guy he's got a hand on his gun.

[01:48:11] But the gun is not out and he says hey I need to know what the fuck's going on here guys we got an alert from upstairs when we hit the bottom I hit like a like an old school pocket watcher like.

[01:48:22] 30 seconds that's a good time there buddy you did a really good job this was a surprise audit on top of the fire escape plan we had the fire scape we had to.

[01:48:31] Your response time is fantastic I'm gonna put this in report and I search scratch and stuff on the clipboard what is name.

[01:48:39] Oh who are you.

[01:48:43] Security officer what is name.

[01:48:47] Make sure that you spell correctly it has two ease.

[01:48:51] Yeah it's right here on the on the badge thanks for taking it down.

[01:48:56] You did a fantastic job we want to make sure you get the recognition that you deserve because like not a lot of places can respond this fast we want to make sure that you.

[01:49:03] We are your higher up here about this you know that if you're this good maybe there's a promotion in your plan and you're in your future.

[01:49:11] Okay and possibly better better pay me it's better fire arm.

[01:49:16] Are you rocking the new fire in pierce line.

[01:49:20] Other stuff is trash or you kid me.

[01:49:23] I'm pretty new stuff was just tested out and it's actually not too bad.

[01:49:27] Just ignore them they don't know what they talking about you are correct the new fire in pierce line is trash.

[01:49:33] Come build talk shock for a moment.

[01:49:36] At bay and she steps in front like look you did a really great job noticeably trying to keep the hour checks and out but.

[01:49:44] You really tried to you really did your best but if this was the event of an actual emergency why not there more people here.

[01:49:52] Like what's your protocol what is it in the bottles and she pulls out a tablet.

[01:49:58] Okay this is going to be the fast talk roll and those are two assists.

[01:50:06] In case the fast talk rail fails my cyber arms in my pocket right.

[01:50:12] The assist is going to be coming from David from the lane and the benchy yeah.

[01:50:19] Alright well it's having a building that allows me to use a cool oh dear yeah I think what's it called.

[01:50:29] I do have one ice man when you fast talk so I'm going to be rolling that day I mean Joe okay.

[01:50:37] I'll give you an extra well that won't help you're good.

[01:50:40] Alright nice okay so you get you two good cops one bad cop he's like listen listen we got an alert we came down to check it nobody should be taking the elevator all the way down.

[01:50:55] But it's not an emergency you know we secured all the other exits you guys are maintenance we're just trying to make sure we had you queued for coming in.

[01:51:05] We just want to make sure everything isn't clear it looks like it's in the clear so you get out.

[01:51:11] Right like we appreciate your professionalism like it's definitely noticed.

[01:51:16] Good I you know look.

[01:51:20] I would be really great if I get that raise I was asking for for the past two years it would really help so.

[01:51:27] Alright cool great listen yeah great meeting okay guys I guess we go and yeah hope to hear good things about this audit.

[01:51:42] Oh yeah you guys did flying colors everything's in tip top shape alright yeah like separate that fun thing but we are not talking about that he's not security issue you did fine.

[01:51:54] You'll have enjoyable rest of she's.

[01:52:00] And we walk casually out of their lives.

[01:52:04] Well maybe maybe not so yeah you did the job successfully they did not notice you until the last minute.

[01:52:16] And your turn to poor old neo chrome sleeves with this old brain in a box and yeah if you and watch and your maker space buddies and.

[01:52:33] Dr Frank can get to work on repairing his skull problems.

[01:52:38] You'll be in the clear but you brought the box in and that's what he wanted so you're going to get paid for it.

[01:52:45] We take the egos or I can use the goes for.

[01:52:50] I think we should probably just take them and store them away in a locker somewhere that.

[01:52:57] I mean the real bad copies.

[01:53:00] The real bad.

[01:53:02] Well I mean we could probably still clean some information off of it eventually was put in some type of shielded locker that doesn't transmit anything that says hey this is a.

[01:53:10] See brain scan yeah yeah.

[01:53:14] Hey you can have this back so let's get paid.

[01:53:18] Yeah big fan of the whole getting paid thing.

[01:53:22] You get a plus three because there are three legs left on your legwork lock three bits.

[01:53:27] All right that's a that's me style plus three that's right.

[01:53:34] Or is it just a straight role plus three actually it's yeah it's a no it's a straight role plus three okay so how do you do a 2d 6 on.

[01:53:43] It's just a 20 icon.

[01:53:50] Where you just roll slash are okay I'm just gonna roll something I have a zero in and go from there that makes sense yeah.

[01:53:59] All right so it's a plus three all right let's see what happens.

[01:54:04] It's a nine alright for a nine pick out of these.

[01:54:11] You pick one from this list.

[01:54:17] It's not a set up weren't ambush your paid and full.

[01:54:21] It doesn't attract outside attention where you learn something and everyone marks experience go for paid in full and I'll counter ambush.

[01:54:31] All right now that doesn't mean I'm gonna have an ambush waiting for you yeah.

[01:54:40] Yeah let's go with paid in full good all right great.

[01:54:45] He has what you clean them out you know chrome sleeves is now broke his hell between this and paying for all the repairs.

[01:54:53] But you guys cash in and it's a shit ton of money.

[01:54:59] Yes it is and there will definitely be no consequences to stealing the founder and several high level people from nano links.

[01:55:07] Corporate structure stealing their brains no one will care about that at all.

[01:55:12] I mean not for us but you know the golden Phoenix is always right from the ashes.

[01:55:18] Hey man they're a whole corporation.

[01:55:21] They're not gonna be able to find who your answers are.

[01:55:25] Not at first yeah right it's not going to be the next mission where she's gonna spend with one hand to that.

[01:55:36] Well that's why I was kind of leading towards doesn't attract outside attention but you know.

[01:55:42] He's getting paid.

[01:55:45] I think that was a hard kick to their clock up like two one for.

[01:55:51] One for engaging the nano link guys on what was going to be a suicide mission and then suiciding them.

[01:55:59] And then you guys.

[01:56:02] He's a little rungs the company.

[01:56:05] Well for the moment I told you right there.

[01:56:09] Well maybe the stupid copy is going to be running in nano link here so maybe that's what he's worried about.

[01:56:19] He's worried that he's going to be replaced with I are depresented.

[01:56:23] Yeah that somebody is hacked and is going to control the company through this hacked copy of himself hacked bad copy of himself.

[01:56:31] I like pizza Steve.

[01:56:35] Pizza Mondays look.

[01:56:39] I feel like we've already went live through that world for four years so we're okay.

[01:56:45] We have lived through that world for the past four years.

[01:56:49] Oh my god.

[01:56:52] I know why we're going to get shot now because we've lived through that world.

[01:56:58] All right comments issues suggestions.

[01:57:03] Complaints to get paid triple.

[01:57:08] So that means we'll end of 15 me 12 banji 12 watch 18.

[01:57:17] That's right.

[01:57:19] I had to actually figure out what we use money for at some point in time.

[01:57:23] Well you can improve your cyber gear.

[01:57:26] That's part of what I've used mine for in the past and what I'm probably going to be doing again.

[01:57:33] You can upgrade your car.

[01:57:35] You can buy better guns if you want them.

[01:57:38] You could prepare for the inevitable backlash.

[01:57:43] Guns lots more guns.

[01:57:45] I didn't just use it to pay off people.

[01:57:48] You could yeah you could bribe a whole shit ton of people.

[01:57:53] Sounds good.

[01:57:55] No but it was fun.

[01:57:57] I'm sorry I was kind of took a backseat in the beginning.

[01:58:00] I feel like my character is I mean I'm more of the driver and stuff like that.

[01:58:06] So I kind of deferred everybody else throughout the most of it, but you gave me opportunities here.

[01:58:13] And I finally decided to start taking them so I appreciate it.

[01:58:17] I had a lot of fun with it.

[01:58:19] We do have a death like a mecha-mullet's death race coming up so you'll be able to shine there I'm sure.

[01:58:26] There's going to be a lot of stuff happening.

[01:58:29] You guys have tied yourselves up for a lot of future for a lot of shit down the line.

[01:58:34] Oh we try to set you up so that you've got all sorts of things to throw at us and you know I appreciate it.

[01:58:40] I just want to make sure you are away.

[01:58:43] Oh no definitely stepping in it.

[01:58:45] I've been intentionally making bad choices in preparation for fun gameplay.

[01:58:50] All right well good.

[01:58:52] And to be fair I'm kind of in the same boat as Adam like Elena is super fun when there is violence to be had but the rest of the time she's not as much use.

[01:59:04] It's kind of floating around in the background that's true.

[01:59:07] But it works like the it's like we have plan B we can just shake up a lady and throw her at whatever is like yes plan violence.

[01:59:16] You got to start in two submissions the you're a security guard and then you got to shoot up someone that messed with mess with Helen so I'm good.

[01:59:25] Hey if that's all I've got tonight that is still aces in my book but not only did I get those but I also got to kill a phone nobody that in this which was great.

[01:59:36] I would tell you take a moment here to say brownie it was it was a joy to watch you and Jeremy both of you all just kind of and Craig well you know for Chris's connection kind of killed out there it was fun just watching you guys.

[01:59:50] Handle all the social stuff and I mean Bernie you really like we could text suggestions and stuff like that it really I mean I wouldn't have thought of the backup.

[01:59:59] Phone in the arm kind of thing like that and I mean.

[02:00:04] I think you're you guys are the VIPs.

[02:00:09] I appreciate that I really wanted whenever you said tech thing I really wanted it to be to be watching brownie centric so that's why I was pushing you up in the front because that's your wheelhouse man I can.

[02:00:20] I can have my character talk and sound like he knows what he's doing but you actually do so that was that was my purpose and you you rolled with that and that was awesome so I definitely appreciate the the praise but watch was definitely the this star.

[02:00:36] It was a lot of fun but I'm only as good as the team.

[02:00:41] Alright well with that we'll talk to everybody later.

[02:00:46] Night everybody.

adam,chris,jeremy,rppr david,brownie,joe,los ligeros,
