[00:01:18] This is Chris and I am reprising the role of Craig Sarota, local freelance journalist. With a dejected eyes, a worn face, an animated body and definitely not a death wish. Uh, David, I remembered you this time. Hello everybody, this is David. I'm going to be reprising Elena Lobacheva.

[00:01:43] I am the group's killer. I count as a street gang all by myself for reasons. And this is Jeremy, I'll be playing Julian Black, the local fixer. With the trustworthy eyes, the friendly face, the thin body, the lightly tanned skin and always wearing formal wearer,

[00:02:02] even though he's generally trying to stop being broke. Right, well we last left the players. We were steps away from completing a plan to raid the safe house where... Okay, there it is. Zifra is being kept by the Iron Curtains and that's where we will start back up.

[00:02:31] So any last minute plans or actions? Well, we have that one free one. You have one free one, that's right. Anything else as I said before, because we did come up with the A-Team theme. Not in vaporwave but it was in metal and I'll accept it.

[00:02:48] You hear somebody kicking on the trunk of the car from the inside? Craig is in the trunk. He woke up. I thought we let that Russian fellow out. Oh Craig! Oh Craig's still back there. I don't think I hear anything. Craig, survive him up a bit more. Cruel.

[00:03:09] We're going to roll with the changes. Dump! Dump! Dump! Keep on rolling. We are going to need some kind of explosives if we're going to be blowing up entire block. I think Craig has at least a few people who can maybe know about these things. Dump!

[00:03:32] I mean watch, this is an explosive expert. Well we do have much. We could either do that or we could make friends with a like a city gas worker so we know which way which ones to light up that won't blow up the building.

[00:03:45] Or you know you could let me do my fucking job. We could do both of these things. Where's that sound coming from? We need explosives. We need know how it's the where to place. Otherwise we're going to be blowing up entire neighborhood instead of just part of it.

[00:06:20] You said we have one basically one free legwork action. That's right. So do you remember our security since a security yard friend Rodney? Yeah Rodney I remember him. I think what I have an idea so we need a we need a security expert to help us figure

[00:06:40] out where to best best plant these explosives and you know who has the most information on that. Psygen. Yeah well social media. Sure that's true that's true. You know there's gotta be at least one subway worker whose whole thing is TikTok.

[00:07:02] Yeah yeah TikToks you all the way through the subways. Psygen's got all those records you would have to get deleted. Subtok. All right. So um All right first thing we need to do is figure out where Rodney is and then I need to monster him.

[00:07:22] All right you're gonna find him in person or you're gonna like do it over the phone? I think you have to be in person. Yeah it's gotta be in person because that's how monstering works. Just you don't stop him. You don't stop him.

[00:07:37] I believe last time he worked at the Psygen related casino. Can we say that I've been creeping on his Psygen accounts to see where where he is now linked in wise? Uh yeah it would be no like the the the legwork action is going to be the entire

[00:07:56] process of getting the information. Okay so let's try let's try get any information first. Uh gather evidence. When you gather evidence to break a story roll mind so let's say this is a mind check as my first

[00:08:11] my first aspect of breaking the story is showing that Psygen has been secretly keeping all of everyone's information. Okay. Okay and let's see that's uh research I believe. Mind. I mean it could also acceptable would be the story of uh the dangers of the return of this

[00:08:41] or appearance of this new dangerous gang in the uh uh Leslie Garros but that would be fine. I mean yes either is acceptable. Keep in mind I gain experience whenever I kick Psygen in the teeth. That's true. All right so that is a nine that's a mixed success.

[00:09:05] With that I get the evidence I need and um but I tip my hand to someone complicated into the story. Uh if I helped him out if I if I used like basically as my influence could he get a plus one push that up to a 10?

[00:09:26] Uh yeah I would say so. Because we're both we're both good at information. Precise of problems yeah. Yeah I'm like okay uh so I'm basically saying okay so you need to go through these

[00:09:38] locations and like I show you like five different people that I've been stalking on social media. You need to figure out where they're linked and then I need to get to that person. And then I call somebody and say hey surveillance team go do this for me.

[00:09:51] Fair because I have one. It's their job yeah. I like how you're like you've got real life surveillance while I'm just an online snoop. Hey it's hand in hand. I mean some people are professionals and some people are encyclopedia brown.

[00:10:09] All right so uh yeah you find uh so so what exactly are you looking for? Are you looking for the specific tiktoks or do you want to find where Rodney is so you can badger him into giving you the information?

[00:11:47] All right so um I uh come into the pizza yurt like a little before he gets there and I'm just like hanging out at the salad bar wearing big conspicuous sunglasses in a dark coat so he can't immediately tell it's me.

[00:12:04] Yeah as soon as he sees you uh I mean as soon as he sees hey he's not paying that much attention so he's he finishes off his personal pan pizza looks like he's on a date uh they are having

[00:12:18] moderately good time but one that would be easily ruined by the inner by some person that uh his uh partner does not know uh and uh just deserve finishing up their drinks. I'm gonna do Rodney a solid then and instead of immediately walking up to his uh table

[00:12:40] I'm just gonna air-drap a picture of me like doing a selfie with him in the background. It's like hey buddy we gotta talk. Oh no and his date looks up and he's at Bob get just I'll see you in like 10 minutes. Oh god what do you want?

[00:13:08] Hey Rodney just have some questions by the way Bob's a real catch for you. Uh thanks were you here the whole time you were that guy in the fucking sunglasses. I cannot confirm or deny that. Well thanks for not blowing my whole date up that's good.

[00:17:20] You gain a pretty good local map of the sewer system and all the lines there too in beneath and around the safe house where Zephra is being kept. Was the the hacker man checking out the chips was that going to be part of

[00:17:41] anything that we had to do or was that already built in? Uh that you could just forward to him because it's he's already been paid for doing some work. Okay. And Craig wasn't around for that he didn't actually get to do it.

[00:18:09] from the 1990 sewer shark but I think this is how we need to take it a tad bit ahead if it's a nice sewer system would it be nice to get a swamp buggy and escape through the sewers? Oh my god. I think this is a fantastic idea.

[00:18:25] I 100% agree. Elena watch it. It's a stupid idea but just because it's stupid doesn't mean it's not great. Oh already already have a contact for a boat of mine and everything but we need to figure out where more of the particulars I think first.

[00:18:44] Well my idea for this was to have a good idea of where we could enter and exit and where we could set the charges to cause maximum chaos. Because yeah they put if if they're running out trying to figure out like who's assaulting them

[00:18:58] either from the inside or smoking them out then we could probably pop in grab him and then head out the sewers. Why don't we catch him when they're moving by the elevator?

[00:19:07] If we could time it just right and it just pull up it's nailed into the sewer we grab him and then take off. Am I going a little too crazy? No I think this is a good idea.

[00:19:19] Now you know that the uh you know the safe house is like a bunch of uh it's basically a bunch of row homes on a mostly abandoned block that have had their walls probably interpenetrated. Have you all seen the True Detective season one? The only True Detective yes.

[00:19:39] Yeah do you remember the uh the scene where it's just Matthew McConaughey going through a bunch of row houses in Dallas Texas and it's a one-shot thing while a riot is going on? I'll bring this up for no reason.

[00:19:54] Maxim43 if it's stupid and it works it's still stupid and you're lucky. Yeah. However I feel like if we are to shake up the neighborhood enough and you happen to be

[00:20:15] waiting down below in swamp boat you go in quiet you grab the mark you get out through sewers is not the chase they are expecting. If Elena is up on top and just starts firing from this lovely grenade launcher I happen to have

[00:20:34] in the uh well it was gift from ex-boyfriend we don't talk about. I just fire I just fire a couple of these nice smoke grenades and a couple of these not-so-smoke grenades and then I hop in car with someone who look a little like Benchy

[00:20:54] they give chase you grab mark you get out and by the time they figure out that I am not actually riding with Benchy they will have lost the hacker man. And you drive a boat and drive your car with your brain at the same time?

[00:21:16] Joey would probably be a negative modifier wouldn't it? I would say so yeah. You know if we get somebody who can load. But not impossible I mean he is the driver. If you find someone who look a little like Benchy who can drive serviceably well

[00:21:34] it does not have to be great driver. They don't even have to be a serviceable driver I mean remember what we did to the chameleons kid? I'm not even a serviceable driver really. Yeah.

[00:22:09] All right. There's just a moment of just like intense silence just cool. We could also I mean if you're looking for goofy distractions if you don't want to shoot stuff up we could always you know hijack a truck of that really crappy not quite

[00:22:29] Oh you know designer beer magic crap and just jacket and then just open it up on the street for people to run in and make a free street party. Get your own hard sell sir. The white claw block party. What? Raw. Not your comrades hard sell sir.

[00:22:56] I think I am getting lost so I mean whichever one of those ideas sounds great. We could synthesize them and have basically you set up for the snatch and grab with Elena while Julian and I and maybe watch like we could set up some sort of distraction

[00:23:18] and block party sort of thing. I guess sounds pretty good. I pointed Julian's like you think you can get your people to steal a truck? I have a feeling I could get somebody to steal the truck.

[00:23:29] All right don't forget about the screaming eagles an ultra american gang that was invented just last week. That is true. I've still got another I I still got another or we we all get at least one I know people I used one I still got another one.

[00:30:19] Yeah so what you would do is you could either drive the boat and take a negative to both. So because your attention is split. Now you're pretty hardwired for the car so you can drive the car remotely no big deal.

[00:30:36] But if you want to do that and do something else it's going to be a negative one to each. I would say maybe even brownie drive the boat if I get you know. Yeah if you have to do car stuff yeah that will work.

[00:30:52] You don't need special skills. I can tell you from my actual factual experience driving a boat is easier than driving a car. Okay what about how to acquire it so would you let me just pay up a cred to rent it or?

[00:31:10] Yes I will say running a boat will leave a trail purchasing a boat in cash won't. And now you have a boat but purchasing in cash costs more. So two creds so that we've got a swamp boat whenever we want one?

[00:31:29] I mean yeah it's not as useful as you would hope but as long as you're close to shore it'll be fine. If we have two we can probably sell it for one cred back maybe if we do some kind of. Sell it for half back yeah.

[00:32:06] I don't remember what I was doing. That's fine. And I just realized where I was keeping my oh wait no I have 10 cred. I don't know why I have two different numbers down here yeah whatever. All right so the plan so far like what are we actually doing?

[00:32:22] I know we're causing a distraction with the streaming eagles. Are we gonna light something up so they flush them out? See we're under the house blow a hole enter from the very bottom in a Blitzkrieg run grab a guy run out all the noise and stuff and the

[00:32:39] music and stuff playing outside will hopefully be masked by will mask the hit and run kind of thing does that sound okay with everybody else so we just I mean we're underneath it and all of a sudden their kitchen explodes and we crawl out.

[00:32:54] What was the what's the mechanical benefit of the block party because if that's something that's measurable we could potentially amp it up a little bit to get a little bit more of whatever benefit it provides I'm thinking like I don't know making

[00:33:09] Molotron mega-mullet whatever his name is happy having kind of a patriotic American fireworks display. What I was thinking. Complete with John Phillips, Susa. Oh yeah I was thinking like actual American flag and actual eagles flying around in the fireworks in some kind of futuristic cyber punky thing.

[00:33:30] And I just so happened to have pyrotechnician as my focus. Cool. Yeah so the mechanical effect will be so the GM doesn't roll so what's that's gonna do is each add-on effect for the block party I will say will give the infiltrators plus one forward

[00:33:53] which means they can use that plus one at any time on their rolls until they run out of them. So blowing the hull grabbing them any gunfights that occur you know maybe trying to sneak out although that's an insane statement after you blow a hole in a

[00:34:11] floor you'll get an additional plus one for those. Having fireworks go off at exactly the right time to cover up the sound of explosions so they don't know what's going on? That would yes that would help. Another thing that's a ghoulish idea that I thought of

[00:34:26] having the fireworks go off at exactly the wrong time and it coming from a block party to the white claw massacre would definitely distract people. Remind me are we the bad guys? This is an out of character thing.

[00:34:44] It's a cyberpunk future no one's the good guys it's just less bad guys. Well maybe if I completely roll failure on pyrotechnics that's what ends up happening. Yeah maybe the white claw massacre. White claw red streets. Does watch have any like say on what grenades he actually has?

[00:35:06] I was just trying to just frag grenades is what the charging gave me. Okay because I was gonna say if we could fill their vents up full of sleep gas and then just

[00:35:16] roll in and take him like just have grenades full of smoke or some type of irritant so where we can actually get in and get out without having to destroy the place. So what I'm gonna say is because watches, concentrations, pyrotechnics, regular

[00:35:30] ass explosives and like fireworks no problem he's just got right. If you need like a satchel charge or whatever you want to call it a shape charge to get into this floor he could just do that no no rolls required and you know setting it up properly

[00:35:51] will require a roll but you know he doesn't have nothing is going to be required to get that stuff. For anything special he's gonna have to go out and find a purveyor or make it and that will once again increase the legwork clock.

[00:36:10] Yeah say we're already pushing for time. Yeah and we've already got to get to get your guys to get the truck with the booze that we're going to pass out. Right again because it's just booze and any random ass truck it doesn't matter.

[00:36:24] Yeah I mean are we saying we have access to the ventilation system because if you we could just you know smoke them out. Well that's hard to say. Typically you do not vent into the... You don't typically ventilate down usually it's up.

[00:36:48] Up from the sewers that we're already in and have maps for? That's I mean if you're looking just for like ground floor access in small for small spaces into the building like you won't have like ventilation access but this building was built

[00:37:03] a hundred years ago it's got holes in the floor there are cracks like if you want to smoke them out that way with just literal we'll just light a bunch of this shit under the under these houses and let it percolate up into them like that'll work.

[00:37:20] Yeah I mean we could basically just make a gas leak. Yeah I'm more in the I'm kind of trying to figure out how we can not get the VIP killed basically. That's why I'm avoiding the gas leak.

[00:37:37] All right I'm going to ask for a finalization of the plan at this point. Yeah I was going to say we need to we need to figure this out. All right so I imagine that you and I Jeremy are going to be working on the block party.

[00:37:47] Yeah that's not hard. Yeah we'll have the fireworks going on there. I do think the best move is to have them distracted by the block party that's not supposed to be happening so they're going to be bunched up on that side of their perimeter which is when you
