A bond is formed and with the availability of transport, the foreman of the mine comes calling with a job. Will an unlikely gift spot spell success or doom for the newly minted team?
Nick – The Market
Adam – Shake – A soon to be family man, fringer, unemployed weed dealer, current grow op operator, living outside of the enclave society.
Brownie – Road Salt – Crash Hero, Mining Engineer, Not Funny.
Crazon/Review Cultist/Chris – Balto – Pre-crash medic with a latent brother and an ambulance as a dependent. Playing the Driver Tough Spot.
Ethan - St. Bernard - A deeply flawed man, cracked in detatchment, definitely not Benny. He's our face, but can handle himself in a fight. Playing the Fenceman tough spot.
[00:00:04] Hello, welcome to the Roleplaying Exchange. Tonight we'll be playing Red Markets, New Campaign, T-Minus. We have four intrepid takers with us here tonight. I'll allow them to introduce themselves, and then I'll let you guys know a little bit about the enclave that we are using before jumping on into the game. If we'd like to start in alphabetical order, I know it's risky, but first is...
[00:00:33] First is Adam, since we don't have to worry about Aaron. Double A always throws me off. Hey, this is Adam, and I am going to be playing the role of Shake, or Shaker. We're kind of going with the theme as you're going to pick up on this as we go through the names.
[00:00:48] And Shake is, you know, in the previous world, he was a low-level kind of college frat boy who made money on the side, you know, selling weed and stuff like that. And then the entire economy started regulating weed, and then he was out of a job, and then the economy collapsed, and he sucked out in the wild, and he doesn't have a job.
[00:01:14] So he lives a little bit outside of the enclave. He doesn't live with the... inside the enclave itself, which I can't remember the name of the enclave.
[00:01:27] And I live with my girlfriend, Mary Jane. And at this point in the story, just to make things interesting, since I don't have two charisma, I don't need two dependents, but I've got one on the way.
[00:01:38] So milestone is I've got to add another point into charisma so I can have a baby. Does that make sense?
[00:01:47] Yeah. We'll see what happens. We'll see what happens.
[00:01:51] I guess next would be...
[00:01:53] This is easy this time. We just go A, B, C.
[00:01:56] Yeah.
[00:01:58] Bah.
[00:02:01] Barownie. Hi, I'm Brownie.
[00:02:03] The character I'm playing tonight is Road Salt. He is a mine engineer who has been living in our enclave since it was set up during the crash.
[00:02:15] I'm Crazon, or Chris.
[00:02:18] I'm playing Balto, who was a paramedic before the crash, and he drove the ambulance and took a call out by the Hutchinson Salt Mine during the crash.
[00:02:31] And reluctantly stayed in the safety of the salt mine when it happened.
[00:02:39] So he's got a bit of a survivor's guilt going.
[00:02:43] Totally didn't hear those calls for help over the radio.
[00:02:45] Yeah, no, totally didn't. Nope.
[00:02:47] They need to do.
[00:02:49] Yeah, he's the transporter.
[00:02:51] He's got the shambulance.
[00:02:54] Yeah.
[00:02:55] That's about it.
[00:02:58] Well then, we're skipping D.
[00:03:02] Right up to E.
[00:03:03] This is Ethan.
[00:03:05] I'm playing St. Bernard.
[00:03:07] He's a fenceman, a former fenceman.
[00:03:10] Kind of a face build.
[00:03:13] Walked away from the fenceman life to take care of his adopted daughter.
[00:03:17] Well, that's all the takers of the crew called the Salty Dogs,
[00:03:21] which are based out of Hatch,
[00:03:26] which is out of the local salt mine in Hutchinson, Kansas.
[00:03:31] When we did enclave creation,
[00:03:34] we looked for good starting positions and used Google Maps and the world to create the enclave.
[00:03:42] But going forward in the campaign,
[00:03:44] we won't be too specific with locations.
[00:03:48] But the salt mine in Hutchinson, Kansas
[00:03:52] was a position that a lot of people ran to in and around the area.
[00:03:57] And they retreated down into the salt mine to wait out the torpor.
[00:04:05] They came out, built up the fencing around the area,
[00:04:10] did makeshift walls with cars and train cars.
[00:04:15] They've incorporated the nearby prison and other equipment from the nearby factories
[00:04:22] to set up a successful salt mine,
[00:04:26] which digs salt out of the ground and transports it to the various enclaves of the loss.
[00:04:32] Salt being a very important thing to have,
[00:04:35] both for just quality of life and actual survival.
[00:04:39] This taker group came together.
[00:04:41] How did you guys come together again?
[00:04:44] Well, I'll say I haven't quite joined the group yet.
[00:04:47] That'll happen as part of the first episode.
[00:04:51] I think that with Shake,
[00:04:54] the deal is I've got a little grow operation.
[00:04:58] I'm sick to what you know.
[00:05:00] So like Shake and his girlfriend have got a raising marijuana,
[00:05:07] stuff like that off the reservation,
[00:05:09] not reservation, excuse me, enclave.
[00:05:10] And he is constantly taking stuff into the enclave to sell and stuff like that.
[00:05:20] So it's just,
[00:05:20] I mean,
[00:05:21] his medicinal herbs,
[00:05:23] I guess you could say.
[00:05:24] So he's,
[00:05:26] he's in there quite often.
[00:05:28] And since I've already kind of pre-established that she's expecting that we're going to have to improve our quality of life.
[00:05:38] I would even say that Shake is actually living in a bunker that he found while scavenging outside the enclave and just lives there.
[00:05:47] So yeah,
[00:05:48] he keeps going back and back just to not only do his day job,
[00:05:52] so to speak,
[00:05:53] but,
[00:05:54] you know,
[00:05:55] for necessities and things like that.
[00:05:57] Not like a big bunker,
[00:05:58] but it's,
[00:05:58] it's,
[00:05:59] it's big enough to live in and to not worry about that much.
[00:06:06] It's almost like,
[00:06:07] when I say bunker,
[00:06:08] let's just go ahead and call it what it is.
[00:06:09] It's like the house has fell down on top of it,
[00:06:12] but he has access to the,
[00:06:13] to the cellar.
[00:06:14] So he's just living in a dilapidated cellar.
[00:06:19] At least Crazon,
[00:06:20] I mean,
[00:06:22] Balto was approached by the foreman of the mine,
[00:06:27] Jacob Paxton.
[00:06:28] The other,
[00:06:29] the rest of you have at least interacted with each other in some way.
[00:06:35] And it was brought up that due to,
[00:06:39] the exist to your possession of the shambulance.
[00:06:44] Yup.
[00:06:46] You guys could help him out and he'd be willing to pay you for a job.
[00:06:52] Since you have one of the few vehicles that is free at the moment.
[00:06:55] So you guys know that Jacob Paxton would be paying you enough money to make it
[00:07:01] worth your while,
[00:07:01] or at least to think about it.
[00:07:04] So you guys let's do a vignette where you guys come together and decide
[00:07:09] to work as a tanker crew and take the first job.
[00:07:11] Does that sound all right?
[00:07:13] Yup.
[00:07:14] Sounds great.
[00:07:16] Okay.
[00:07:17] Set the scene.
[00:07:18] Give us something about the enclave that we,
[00:07:19] where we would meet.
[00:07:21] Well,
[00:07:22] you'd probably be above ground.
[00:07:25] There's,
[00:07:27] you probably wouldn't be in the block,
[00:07:28] which is the old correctional facility.
[00:07:31] where they hold criminals and let,
[00:07:34] have late in sleep.
[00:07:35] You wouldn't be underground.
[00:07:36] So you'd probably be at least up top in some,
[00:07:41] would you guys be like at the local bar or would you guys want more of a
[00:07:45] private sort of spot?
[00:07:48] There are train cars,
[00:07:50] which are unused,
[00:07:52] which are part of the wall,
[00:07:53] but do have empty space that people can go into if they want some privacy.
[00:07:58] I'd say that we went up to the local,
[00:08:00] let's put it near the local community building boards.
[00:08:03] So we were kind of everybody walking up there trying to look for work,
[00:08:06] see what's been posted so forth and so on.
[00:08:10] And just a conversation kind of breaks out amongst us.
[00:08:15] You know,
[00:08:15] we're looking,
[00:08:16] say for example,
[00:08:18] we even like our first research thing we can tie into with this,
[00:08:22] but we were looking at the contacts and I mean,
[00:08:25] I don't know shit about this.
[00:08:26] I don't know anybody.
[00:08:27] Well,
[00:08:27] I know somebody kind of deal.
[00:08:28] I guess.
[00:08:29] So we start seeing,
[00:08:30] we have certain strengths and certain weaknesses that the other ones do and
[00:08:34] don't have kind of deal.
[00:08:35] Does that kind of track with everybody?
[00:08:38] Yeah.
[00:08:39] Like for example,
[00:08:41] Oh,
[00:08:41] you got a car.
[00:08:42] Oh,
[00:08:43] great.
[00:08:44] Got to deal like that.
[00:08:46] Yeah.
[00:08:47] That sounds good to me.
[00:08:48] So if you guys want to start the scene,
[00:08:51] that's fine.
[00:08:52] So we've already,
[00:08:54] we're standing around like nobody's around and stuff like that really as much by the bulletin board.
[00:09:01] Look,
[00:09:01] man,
[00:09:02] like it looks like if we're going to make any money,
[00:09:03] we got to go certain ways.
[00:09:05] Uh,
[00:09:06] what was your name again?
[00:09:08] Uh,
[00:09:09] rent in 10.
[00:09:09] Oh,
[00:09:10] I'm Balto.
[00:09:10] Balto.
[00:09:11] Okay.
[00:09:11] Okay.
[00:09:12] Hey,
[00:09:14] I'm,
[00:09:14] I'm shake.
[00:09:15] Uh,
[00:09:16] you know,
[00:09:16] like,
[00:09:17] uh,
[00:09:17] yeah,
[00:09:18] that's,
[00:09:19] uh,
[00:09:19] that's the leftover marijuana.
[00:09:22] It's in the bottom of the bag that nobody wants.
[00:09:24] Oh,
[00:09:24] okay.
[00:09:24] Uh,
[00:09:25] so do you,
[00:09:26] um,
[00:09:26] does your,
[00:09:26] does your character have a,
[00:09:28] uh,
[00:09:28] like,
[00:09:28] like the,
[00:09:29] is the opera up,
[00:09:30] like,
[00:09:30] um,
[00:09:30] like up and going,
[00:09:31] like you're trading and stuff at the,
[00:09:33] like the market or whatever,
[00:09:35] or.
[00:09:36] Uh,
[00:09:36] yes,
[00:09:37] but it's a quantity.
[00:09:38] It's good.
[00:09:40] It's,
[00:09:40] uh,
[00:09:40] I don't have enough grow lights and stuff like that.
[00:09:43] So,
[00:09:44] um,
[00:09:44] we're taught,
[00:09:44] we're not talking like massive operation.
[00:09:46] We're talking a couple of plants and,
[00:09:49] uh,
[00:09:49] and pots in the basement.
[00:09:51] Yeah.
[00:09:51] I was just thinking,
[00:09:52] cause like my character is like kind of medical oriented.
[00:09:54] Like you,
[00:09:54] there might be some kind of connection between us over that.
[00:09:57] Um,
[00:09:57] or like,
[00:09:58] like maybe we've like,
[00:09:59] we've passed by like,
[00:10:01] uh,
[00:10:01] in passing or something like that,
[00:10:02] uh,
[00:10:03] regarding like either the grow up or even like,
[00:10:05] cause you're,
[00:10:06] you said like you're planning or expecting,
[00:10:09] like maybe you've been asking around for like,
[00:10:11] for medical advice and stuff.
[00:10:13] Look,
[00:10:14] look,
[00:10:14] man,
[00:10:14] I'm gonna have to,
[00:10:15] I'm running like a small operation and I can make a couple of
[00:10:18] bounty each week and things like that,
[00:10:20] but I,
[00:10:21] I,
[00:10:21] I'm gonna have to go out and reach out and maybe I can
[00:10:23] kind of increase my operation and stuff like that.
[00:10:26] But in the meantime,
[00:10:27] uh,
[00:10:28] I,
[00:10:28] you know,
[00:10:29] you got some wheels.
[00:10:31] Yeah.
[00:10:32] Um,
[00:10:32] I'm always looking to,
[00:10:33] to make some extra bounty has,
[00:10:35] uh,
[00:10:36] stuff,
[00:10:37] keeping the fuel going on that thing.
[00:10:38] Like there's not a whole lot of it left.
[00:10:40] Um,
[00:10:41] and,
[00:10:42] and with my brother,
[00:10:43] um,
[00:10:43] over at the block,
[00:10:45] I gotta,
[00:10:46] gotta,
[00:10:46] gotta keep up tabs on him as well.
[00:10:48] So,
[00:10:50] so St.
[00:10:51] Bernard,
[00:10:52] right?
[00:10:53] Correct.
[00:10:53] Now I'm not Catholic or anything,
[00:10:55] so I'm sorry,
[00:10:56] but I,
[00:10:56] I'm not really getting a reference,
[00:10:58] but,
[00:10:58] uh,
[00:11:00] like what,
[00:11:01] what,
[00:11:01] what do you got?
[00:11:02] What can you,
[00:11:02] what can you bring to the table?
[00:11:04] Oh,
[00:11:05] you'll need a negotiator.
[00:11:06] That would be me.
[00:11:07] Oh,
[00:11:09] awesome.
[00:11:09] I mean,
[00:11:10] I,
[00:11:10] I,
[00:11:10] I talk too much is what they say.
[00:11:14] Rock salt,
[00:11:15] right?
[00:11:16] I'm not a part of the team yet.
[00:11:18] Oh,
[00:11:19] okay.
[00:11:19] We got to hang him up.
[00:11:21] My positive.
[00:11:22] Like,
[00:11:22] as far as like character description,
[00:11:24] what do we see?
[00:11:27] For rock salt,
[00:11:28] uh,
[00:11:29] kind of a chubby,
[00:11:30] a little bit older man.
[00:11:31] Um,
[00:11:31] doesn't look like he's got a lot of sun cause he spends a lot of time down in the salt mines,
[00:11:35] uh,
[00:11:35] salt on his pants,
[00:11:36] salt on his shoes,
[00:11:38] a toolkit on his back helmet.
[00:11:41] Come up for his,
[00:11:43] weekly,
[00:11:43] uh,
[00:11:44] a couple hours of fresh air.
[00:11:47] It just smells wrong up here.
[00:11:49] It's not salty.
[00:11:50] Ration of air.
[00:11:52] Look,
[00:11:53] man,
[00:11:53] like we could,
[00:11:54] we could do this one time or we can do this a lot.
[00:11:56] Who knows?
[00:11:57] But like,
[00:11:58] look,
[00:11:58] I need,
[00:11:59] I need money and I need it bad.
[00:12:01] So.
[00:12:03] All right.
[00:12:03] Well,
[00:12:04] yeah,
[00:12:04] if we got the,
[00:12:05] uh,
[00:12:05] if we can find a,
[00:12:06] find a damn job,
[00:12:08] we can,
[00:12:10] hang,
[00:12:10] we can get some,
[00:12:11] some extra,
[00:12:12] some extra pay.
[00:12:13] That'd be good.
[00:12:15] Oh,
[00:12:16] I imagine.
[00:12:17] Uh,
[00:12:17] I imagine Balto is kind of like a lanky,
[00:12:19] uh,
[00:12:20] a lanky guy,
[00:12:22] probably still wearing the same,
[00:12:24] like scrubs or overalls that paramedics have that he,
[00:12:28] he wore when like the crash happened like five years back.
[00:12:33] So probably like got like a,
[00:12:35] probably has like eight or eight o'clock shadow.
[00:12:39] Is that the term for that?
[00:12:40] Like it's got,
[00:12:42] he's got like a,
[00:12:42] he's got,
[00:12:43] he's definitely,
[00:12:43] um,
[00:12:44] got a bit of a scruff.
[00:12:45] Yeah.
[00:12:45] He's got some scruff going on.
[00:12:46] Uh,
[00:12:47] he hasn't,
[00:12:47] he doesn't shave that regularly.
[00:12:49] A little gaunt.
[00:12:51] Yeah.
[00:12:52] That he,
[00:12:53] that he's got his pack and,
[00:12:54] uh,
[00:12:54] like some clear,
[00:12:55] like medical pack and stuff.
[00:12:57] I just,
[00:12:58] I think I just,
[00:12:59] I like basing my people off,
[00:13:00] off movie stars.
[00:13:01] So I've just started out Jason.
[00:13:02] What's the guy that plays Stifler?
[00:13:04] Jason William Scott,
[00:13:05] Sean William Scott,
[00:13:06] whatever.
[00:13:07] Yeah.
[00:13:08] Yeah.
[00:13:08] I mean,
[00:13:10] I've Sean asked that.
[00:13:11] That's,
[00:13:11] that's like,
[00:13:12] uh,
[00:13:12] that's the Hobbit,
[00:13:13] isn't it?
[00:13:14] Oh yeah.
[00:13:14] You're right.
[00:13:15] Sorry.
[00:13:15] Yeah.
[00:13:17] But yeah,
[00:13:18] now he looks like Stifler from American pie,
[00:13:21] kind of just said,
[00:13:27] kind of thing like it.
[00:13:29] Uh,
[00:13:29] excuse me,
[00:13:31] gentlemen,
[00:13:33] Mr.
[00:13:35] Balto,
[00:13:35] uh,
[00:13:36] you turn around and you see,
[00:13:37] uh,
[00:13:37] Jacob Paxton,
[00:13:38] the form in there.
[00:13:39] Uh,
[00:13:39] yeah,
[00:13:40] yes,
[00:13:40] sir.
[00:13:40] Yeah.
[00:13:43] He appears to have just pinned a,
[00:13:45] uh,
[00:13:45] sheet to the board,
[00:13:46] but his,
[00:13:47] uh,
[00:13:48] he's,
[00:13:48] he's,
[00:13:48] he's taken it down.
[00:13:49] It's still in his hand.
[00:13:50] He's like,
[00:13:50] uh,
[00:13:51] you have a vehicle,
[00:13:54] right?
[00:13:55] Uh,
[00:13:55] I do,
[00:13:56] sir.
[00:13:56] Yeah.
[00:13:57] Shambulance.
[00:13:58] Yeah.
[00:13:59] I have a moment of pride or try feign pride.
[00:14:04] Oh,
[00:14:05] uh,
[00:14:05] are,
[00:14:06] are you,
[00:14:06] uh,
[00:14:07] are you available for hire?
[00:14:08] He,
[00:14:09] he sees the two people you've been talking to.
[00:14:11] Are you,
[00:14:12] do you take a crew that I could,
[00:14:13] perhaps hire out for a small little job?
[00:14:17] Abs,
[00:14:18] uh,
[00:14:18] he,
[00:14:18] I look over to the other guys and just,
[00:14:20] I think quickly,
[00:14:20] absolutely.
[00:14:21] Yes.
[00:14:23] I'd like to,
[00:14:24] as the base step forward.
[00:14:25] Yeah.
[00:14:26] Yeah.
[00:14:26] Yeah.
[00:14:27] Please.
[00:14:29] First,
[00:14:30] my good man,
[00:14:30] we must talk about the pay.
[00:14:32] Oh yes.
[00:14:33] Yes.
[00:14:33] We could get into that.
[00:14:34] He,
[00:14:35] he holds out the sheet.
[00:14:37] If you're interested,
[00:14:38] just stop by my office later.
[00:14:40] I just got to finalize details,
[00:14:42] but yeah,
[00:14:44] if,
[00:14:44] if you guys are interested,
[00:14:46] I'm,
[00:14:46] I'm willing to,
[00:14:48] to hire you guys because,
[00:14:50] uh,
[00:14:50] definitely need a vehicle.
[00:14:52] Oh,
[00:14:53] oh yeah.
[00:14:54] Man,
[00:14:54] look,
[00:14:54] look,
[00:14:55] we,
[00:14:55] we,
[00:14:55] we've done this before.
[00:14:56] We're professionals that like,
[00:14:58] totally.
[00:14:58] We got this.
[00:15:00] I'm nodding furiously.
[00:15:04] Good then.
[00:15:05] Hope to see you later.
[00:15:06] And,
[00:15:06] uh,
[00:15:07] he walks off.
[00:15:08] The paper says,
[00:15:09] uh,
[00:15:09] looking for job,
[00:15:11] take a crew vehicle,
[00:15:15] not necessary,
[00:15:16] not,
[00:15:16] not required,
[00:15:17] but recommended inquire within the main office.
[00:15:21] Jacob Paxman.
[00:15:23] Uh,
[00:15:24] well guys,
[00:15:25] I'm not,
[00:15:25] I'm not praying man,
[00:15:26] but,
[00:15:26] uh,
[00:15:27] that was rather fortuitous.
[00:15:30] What's that mean?
[00:15:33] And seat.
[00:15:37] So you're,
[00:15:38] you're one,
[00:15:39] you're one job that you know about to help you get into the campaign.
[00:15:45] You've been introduced to Jacob Paxman is willing to,
[00:15:47] uh,
[00:15:47] hire you.
[00:15:48] You could,
[00:15:50] he said that he,
[00:15:51] uh,
[00:15:52] said you guys can stop by later in the afternoon if you're interested.
[00:15:54] So that gives you enough time to dig up some more info about what this job might entail.
[00:16:02] So you guys can find out the price of the job,
[00:16:05] what the job might entail,
[00:16:07] which you might be able to figure out anyway,
[00:16:11] as well as you can find any possible competition.
[00:16:15] If you believe there is any,
[00:16:17] personally,
[00:16:18] I don't think I know enough about it to find competition.
[00:16:22] Uh,
[00:16:22] what,
[00:16:22] what can be found?
[00:16:23] Like what,
[00:16:23] so what,
[00:16:24] uh,
[00:16:24] what's on the,
[00:16:25] the sheet exactly?
[00:16:26] Like,
[00:16:26] is it just like that,
[00:16:27] that it requires a vehicle,
[00:16:29] a record,
[00:16:30] a vehicle recommended,
[00:16:31] but not required.
[00:16:32] Gotcha.
[00:16:34] Okay.
[00:16:36] I'm trying to see here.
[00:16:37] Uh,
[00:16:37] I guess try it like,
[00:16:39] so for like researching stuff,
[00:16:40] we can either like try and like look around the enclave and see if we can gather information that way,
[00:16:45] or like tap a reference or something.
[00:16:47] You can do research online.
[00:16:49] You could do networking to ask around the enclave.
[00:16:51] You could do foresight to try and think ahead of what he might want.
[00:16:58] Any other skill that might seem relevant.
[00:17:00] One of my,
[00:17:02] my friend's favorite is scavenging to dig through the person's trash until I remind him that the person lives in the recession.
[00:17:10] Um,
[00:17:11] nice.
[00:17:14] So it's,
[00:17:15] it's whatever you want,
[00:17:16] as long as it sounds reasonable.
[00:17:17] See,
[00:17:18] that's when you get a,
[00:17:19] do a networking role to have somebody that,
[00:17:21] you know,
[00:17:21] in the recession scrounge through.
[00:17:26] Yeah.
[00:17:26] Yeah.
[00:17:27] Ethan,
[00:17:27] what are you thinking?
[00:17:28] Uh,
[00:17:28] for,
[00:17:29] I might,
[00:17:30] uh,
[00:17:31] roll awareness to see if someone overheard,
[00:17:34] uh,
[00:17:35] and roll that to try and find out if there's competition for the job.
[00:17:40] Okay.
[00:17:40] To see if anyone else was trying to look at the,
[00:17:43] the picture,
[00:17:44] the,
[00:17:44] the,
[00:17:45] the flyer before he took it down or see if anyone was trying to listen in that kind of thing.
[00:17:50] Cause we were just kind of in public and he was like,
[00:17:53] you got a car.
[00:17:53] I got a job.
[00:17:54] All right,
[00:17:55] let's do it.
[00:17:56] Okay.
[00:17:56] Yeah.
[00:17:57] Uh,
[00:17:57] you can roll awareness.
[00:18:00] All right.
[00:18:02] Awesome.
[00:18:02] That would be black five,
[00:18:05] red eight.
[00:18:07] Oof.
[00:18:07] So would you like to spend a will or tap a reference?
[00:18:13] Always a big fan of will.
[00:18:16] Yeah.
[00:18:17] We got two of those.
[00:18:21] reference.
[00:18:21] I have a reference.
[00:18:22] Is that like a once a session thing?
[00:18:24] Yeah.
[00:18:25] And it's a equal,
[00:18:27] you have amount of references equal to your charisma,
[00:18:30] but if you don't think finding any potential competition is important,
[00:18:34] then you don't have to pursue this,
[00:18:37] this lead.
[00:18:39] seems,
[00:18:40] it seems,
[00:18:41] it seems oddly specialized.
[00:18:43] Like you got a car,
[00:18:46] the apocalypse,
[00:18:48] like you're hired.
[00:18:49] Yeah.
[00:18:50] I don't know how many other people would.
[00:18:53] Tell you what,
[00:18:54] maybe I should go to like,
[00:18:55] like one of us should go like,
[00:18:56] does there like a local like watering hole kind of thing?
[00:18:58] Um,
[00:18:59] sure.
[00:19:00] Yeah.
[00:19:00] There's always,
[00:19:01] there's always a local water hole on the surface.
[00:19:03] Okay.
[00:19:04] I'm just thinking like,
[00:19:04] yeah,
[00:19:05] like maybe like,
[00:19:05] cause I don't have like,
[00:19:06] I don't have a Ubix spec or anything like that.
[00:19:07] So I can't really like look online to see if he's like posted it
[00:19:11] elsewhere on like lifelines or something,
[00:19:13] but I do have networking.
[00:19:15] So I could maybe like go and like peruse around the,
[00:19:17] uh,
[00:19:18] the local watering hole just to see if I can like see if I see if he's
[00:19:21] like been like posting it anywhere else or like been talking about,
[00:19:24] or if there's any.
[00:19:27] Listeners,
[00:19:28] hopefully this will be edited out and we will manage to piece together
[00:19:31] what happened.
[00:19:34] If not,
[00:19:34] I guess I don't keep it.
[00:19:35] This apology.
[00:19:36] It's,
[00:19:37] it's not your fault,
[00:19:38] Adam.
[00:19:39] Craig slash Alistair is a foreign cousin.
[00:19:45] It's technically a relationship issue between Craig or Alistair and
[00:19:49] discord.
[00:19:50] So at worst case,
[00:19:52] I'll go and they decided to take the job.
[00:19:57] Yes.
[00:19:58] They spoke about how good they are or how untrustworthy the new group
[00:20:04] was.
[00:20:05] They moved one spot on each track.
[00:20:08] Proceed to scam.
[00:20:10] And short wash.
[00:20:12] The shorty dog.
[00:20:16] Real quick,
[00:20:17] Nick,
[00:20:17] if you don't care,
[00:20:18] let's recap.
[00:20:19] So the first,
[00:20:21] we're,
[00:20:21] we're dealing with what?
[00:20:23] Okay.
[00:20:24] We had a scene where you guys met and got interested to the job.
[00:20:29] You did research.
[00:20:29] You didn't find any competition because you didn't find the information.
[00:20:36] You found out the job was 12 bounty and you found out that involved hauling some
[00:20:42] sort of supplies that would increase the mining output for the mine,
[00:20:47] which happens on a yearly basis.
[00:20:52] You then walked into the office,
[00:20:54] introduced St.
[00:20:55] Bernard introduced himself and said that the salty dogs were interested.
[00:20:59] He proceeded to say that they needed more money because the vehicle is expensive.
[00:21:05] And I'm sure that Bart Balto will back that up.
[00:21:09] um,
[00:21:09] and he said that while,
[00:21:12] uh,
[00:21:13] the client Jacob Paxton said that he needs to hold off on some money because you guys
[00:21:18] are new and he doesn't,
[00:21:20] he needs to have like a,
[00:21:22] uh,
[00:21:22] a backup plan,
[00:21:24] which is when we noticed.
[00:21:27] Okay.
[00:21:27] A recording.
[00:21:28] All right.
[00:21:29] So.
[00:21:30] So we should write in and see that we need a tough spot or a hard spot.
[00:21:36] I mean,
[00:21:36] soft spot.
[00:21:37] There's soft spot,
[00:21:38] weak spot,
[00:21:39] tough spot,
[00:21:40] or you can manipulate the price or you can get rid or you can mess with the
[00:21:48] competition.
[00:21:48] You don't know about any competition and there's only one round of negotiations
[00:21:53] left after this.
[00:21:54] So it's however you guys want to proceed.
[00:21:56] And one other piece from the recap,
[00:21:59] Adam's character put on some comical glasses and a mustache and went and
[00:22:04] eavesdropped on the chain gang,
[00:22:06] which is a,
[00:22:06] another taker crew here.
[00:22:08] And the starting price was 12 bounty.
[00:22:12] That's right.
[00:22:13] Put on that Groucho Mark's disguise.
[00:22:16] Mercy.
[00:22:17] So,
[00:22:18] so Rhodes,
[00:22:19] Rhodes salt,
[00:22:19] our fourth intrepid taker who has not joined on quite yet is unavailable for
[00:22:25] this scam.
[00:22:26] So would Balto or Shaker,
[00:22:28] like they're not appearing in this film.
[00:22:32] Well,
[00:22:32] I'll tell you what,
[00:22:33] I,
[00:22:34] I,
[00:22:35] I will go for the scam.
[00:22:37] So basically I would kind of try to,
[00:22:40] uh,
[00:22:41] catch his secretary.
[00:22:44] And just casually just walk up next to her.
[00:22:48] Um,
[00:22:50] she stepped outside to smoke a cigarette,
[00:22:53] offered her one of my special cigarettes.
[00:22:56] And,
[00:22:57] you know,
[00:22:57] I'm,
[00:22:57] I'm just going to try to smooth her into,
[00:23:00] I'm going to talk about my life and being a self-employed person in the
[00:23:03] apocalypse.
[00:23:04] And,
[00:23:05] oh,
[00:23:06] and I'm going to try to see if I can get her to open up about what it's
[00:23:08] like to work for her employer.
[00:23:11] Are you looking for the weak spot or soft spot?
[00:23:14] Yeah,
[00:23:15] I'm looking for a soft spot.
[00:23:16] Soft spot.
[00:23:17] Okay.
[00:23:17] So what kind of role would that be?
[00:23:21] Trying to smooth her.
[00:23:23] That would probably be either like persuasion or deception,
[00:23:27] depending on if you wanted to actually be trying to take interest or
[00:23:32] deception.
[00:23:32] If you're just trying to lie to get her to open up.
[00:23:35] Oh,
[00:23:35] deception.
[00:23:36] Okay.
[00:23:37] So that was nine,
[00:23:40] uh,
[00:23:40] one to nine.
[00:23:41] It goes to the market,
[00:23:42] but I,
[00:23:42] can I go ahead and spend a bounty and say that I gave her a bag of
[00:23:46] weed?
[00:23:47] You're going to tap her as a reference after trying to smooth.
[00:23:50] Okay.
[00:23:52] Well,
[00:23:53] I mean,
[00:23:53] I had it.
[00:23:54] I basically,
[00:23:54] I tell you,
[00:23:55] I'm going to tap for reference.
[00:23:56] I'm going to tap my dependent.
[00:23:58] Mary Jane.
[00:23:59] Like I was supposed to sell this to help buy a pack employee.
[00:24:05] So you're talking,
[00:24:06] you're talking with the secretary.
[00:24:07] You're trying to lead the conversation in the direction that you want it
[00:24:11] to,
[00:24:11] but it's just not getting there,
[00:24:13] which is when you reach into your,
[00:24:14] your bag and you put some weed on the table and you ask in a more
[00:24:18] direct question,
[00:24:20] a line of questioning about Mr.
[00:24:22] Paxton.
[00:24:23] And you find out his soft spot is that he has a second family,
[00:24:28] uh,
[00:24:28] the miners down there are his,
[00:24:31] um,
[00:24:32] it takes a certain person to go down into the earth and dig.
[00:24:34] Uh,
[00:24:35] he's tough on the workers down there,
[00:24:37] but they've grown close,
[00:24:38] uh,
[00:24:38] because they've been through this together.
[00:24:40] Um,
[00:24:42] if you note how,
[00:24:44] uh,
[00:24:45] how you're doing the job for his second family,
[00:24:48] his workers,
[00:24:49] or if you somehow equate your take group as a second family,
[00:24:53] you could play to the spot.
[00:24:55] So,
[00:24:58] as I slunk away from that encounter,
[00:25:02] I throw my hoodie up because now I'm angsty.
[00:25:05] Cause I've just,
[00:25:06] well,
[00:25:06] I've just so decal for magic beans.
[00:25:09] So do you,
[00:25:10] do you want Mr.
[00:25:11] Paxton to go first again?
[00:25:13] St.
[00:25:13] Bernard?
[00:25:14] I think,
[00:25:16] I think I will go first.
[00:25:20] That was his soft spot is that he has a second family.
[00:25:23] Yeah.
[00:25:26] Interesting.
[00:25:28] My dad had a second family.
[00:25:30] We never saw him.
[00:25:33] That's kind of an odd one to like,
[00:25:35] try and take advantage of the job was to transport,
[00:25:39] uh,
[00:25:41] an export of salt or an import of something else.
[00:25:44] Uh,
[00:25:44] just support mining supplies to help increase the output of salt.
[00:25:49] Oh,
[00:25:51] okay.
[00:25:52] I see.
[00:25:53] Oh,
[00:25:54] Jacob,
[00:25:54] I'm sure,
[00:25:55] you know,
[00:25:57] this,
[00:25:57] this export would be quite beneficial to the,
[00:26:00] the colony.
[00:26:02] Obviously we would be more well equipped with better pay.
[00:26:06] After all,
[00:26:07] you and everyone else in this colony stands to benefit.
[00:26:11] Oh,
[00:26:12] friends,
[00:26:13] family.
[00:26:14] Okay.
[00:26:16] To put too fine a point on the word family,
[00:26:18] but like,
[00:26:19] you know.
[00:26:21] Yeah.
[00:26:22] Give me a persuasion check.
[00:26:26] That would be,
[00:26:27] it'd be six under a seven.
[00:26:29] I would like,
[00:26:31] uh,
[00:26:31] so how does will work?
[00:26:33] Yeah.
[00:26:33] And do you flip to succeed or you flip to succeed?
[00:26:37] And I will flip to succeed with a will.
[00:26:41] So at the same time,
[00:26:43] after the first negotiation round,
[00:26:45] you sort of both leaned back and you sort of flashed back to shaker,
[00:26:52] schmoozing up the secretary.
[00:26:53] But at the same time,
[00:26:55] Paxton was flashing back to in the mine.
[00:26:59] He comes up to take her,
[00:27:01] another person that goes by the nickname road salt.
[00:27:05] Road salt.
[00:27:06] You,
[00:27:06] uh,
[00:27:06] you got a second.
[00:27:08] Sure thing,
[00:27:09] boss.
[00:27:10] Uh,
[00:27:10] I'm going to need you to go out on a job.
[00:27:12] You know,
[00:27:13] the,
[00:27:13] uh,
[00:27:14] the yearly powder shipment job.
[00:27:18] Oh yeah.
[00:27:19] I've been out on one of those before.
[00:27:21] Yeah.
[00:27:22] Uh,
[00:27:22] there's a new crew.
[00:27:23] Um,
[00:27:24] I want,
[00:27:24] we need this,
[00:27:25] this powder.
[00:27:27] If it's all right with you,
[00:27:29] could you go along with them?
[00:27:32] You know,
[00:27:32] they,
[00:27:32] they seem like nice people.
[00:27:33] I don't,
[00:27:34] I don't think it'll be that bad.
[00:27:36] Yeah.
[00:27:36] I'll keep a good eye on them for you.
[00:27:38] Okay.
[00:27:38] And I'll,
[00:27:39] I'll,
[00:27:39] I'm willing to pay you the same thing that I pay them.
[00:27:41] So,
[00:27:42] so don't worry about missing out,
[00:27:43] uh,
[00:27:43] on some income down here.
[00:27:46] Sounds good,
[00:27:47] boss.
[00:27:48] Thanks a lot,
[00:27:48] Rootsalt.
[00:27:50] So the flashback to the present,
[00:27:52] you say your speech,
[00:27:52] he goes,
[00:27:53] um,
[00:27:54] well,
[00:27:55] we got here a minor who,
[00:27:59] uh,
[00:28:00] his specialty is handling the,
[00:28:02] uh,
[00:28:02] powder you're going to be shipping.
[00:28:03] Uh,
[00:28:04] I'd like him to go along with you.
[00:28:07] If he wants to,
[00:28:08] to,
[00:28:09] join up with your crew,
[00:28:10] whatever his prerogative,
[00:28:11] I'm going to be paying him the same amount with you as you are going to make.
[00:28:15] So it's not coming out of your cut.
[00:28:18] he,
[00:28:18] he yells,
[00:28:19] Hey,
[00:28:19] Rootsalt,
[00:28:19] get in here.
[00:28:21] And you see a middle-aged man that doesn't look like he gets a lot of sun,
[00:28:24] uh,
[00:28:25] comes in,
[00:28:25] he's got salt on his pants,
[00:28:27] salt on his boots.
[00:28:28] Looks like he's got about three weeks worth of,
[00:28:30] uh,
[00:28:31] scraggly facial hair growth.
[00:28:33] Uh,
[00:28:34] yeah,
[00:28:34] this here's Rootsalt.
[00:28:35] You might've heard of him about what he does around here,
[00:28:40] his reputation.
[00:28:41] I'm sure you'll,
[00:28:42] you'll approve of having him along.
[00:28:43] He's,
[00:28:44] he's not a dead weight.
[00:28:45] He'll hold his own.
[00:28:47] He's,
[00:28:48] he's going to help out.
[00:28:49] Uh,
[00:28:49] so he's playing a gift spot.
[00:28:50] He's gifting you your fourth taker.
[00:28:54] Mm.
[00:28:57] so mechanically,
[00:28:58] how exactly does that,
[00:28:59] uh,
[00:29:00] gift spots?
[00:29:01] You can't defend against it's an automatic two point push.
[00:29:05] Hello.
[00:29:09] So,
[00:29:09] so shake his hand.
[00:29:13] I am polite like that.
[00:29:15] So you move to labor.
[00:29:17] He moves to hazard pay.
[00:29:18] You would move again,
[00:29:19] both of you,
[00:29:20] but you have met each other.
[00:29:21] So you stay at labor and hazard pay.
[00:29:24] So now you do a final leadership check to see which one you go with.
[00:29:28] Oh boy.
[00:29:32] Ooh.
[00:29:32] Yep.
[00:29:34] That's natural 10 over three.
[00:29:36] So you're at hazard.
[00:29:40] And there is no competition for the job.
[00:29:42] So you didn't miss out on that.
[00:29:44] Uh,
[00:29:44] I knew it.
[00:29:46] It's almost like this is the hook for the entire scenario.
[00:29:50] Yes.
[00:29:51] Weird.
[00:29:52] Uh,
[00:29:54] so Paxton has both of you,
[00:29:57] uh,
[00:29:58] uh,
[00:29:58] sit down for a second.
[00:29:59] He goes,
[00:30:00] okay,
[00:30:01] I'm going to go with you.
[00:30:02] No one else is interested or has the means to make this job a success.
[00:30:10] We usually have a big increase in output around this time to start getting ready for,
[00:30:17] you know,
[00:30:18] the colder seasons.
[00:30:19] Um,
[00:30:20] a lot of enclaves want salt for food preservation and yada,
[00:30:24] yada,
[00:30:24] yada.
[00:30:26] So I have a guy sort of,
[00:30:30] uh,
[00:30:32] unique case.
[00:30:33] We,
[00:30:34] I have a trade deal set up with him.
[00:30:36] He has decided to make his livelihood and living situation about producing black powder.
[00:30:49] Don't ask me how or why he just does.
[00:30:52] And we have an arrangement where we can pick up a couple of containers of black powder that we can use for blasting down in the mine.
[00:31:02] Uh,
[00:31:02] so that was,
[00:31:03] that's what you guys will be transporting.
[00:31:05] They should have the shipment aside labeled.
[00:31:09] Uh,
[00:31:09] you guys just got to load it up into your van and bring it back.
[00:31:12] Easy job.
[00:31:13] No such thing as an easy job,
[00:31:16] but I suppose it sounds like a deal.
[00:31:20] I'll let you guys get acquainted to each other and look forward to you coming back through those gates with my,
[00:31:26] uh,
[00:31:26] my explosives.
[00:31:28] Good luck.
[00:31:30] I bring,
[00:31:31] bring road salt back to the rest of the crew.
[00:31:35] Hey guys.
[00:31:37] Oh,
[00:31:38] hello.
[00:31:39] Hi.
[00:31:40] Hey,
[00:31:40] this is,
[00:31:41] did that end till I gave you work,
[00:31:42] man?
[00:31:43] Cause I got to,
[00:31:43] I got to juicy stuff,
[00:31:45] man.
[00:31:46] Tracted did.
[00:31:47] And then he brought out this gentleman here.
[00:31:50] Name is road salt.
[00:31:52] Oh,
[00:31:54] yeah.
[00:31:54] I worked out in the mines.
[00:31:55] I've been on one of these,
[00:31:56] uh,
[00:31:57] these powder runs before.
[00:31:58] So I guess,
[00:31:59] uh,
[00:32:00] I guess Mr.
[00:32:01] Paxton thought I could help you guys.
[00:32:04] I know you.
[00:32:06] You're that guy.
[00:32:08] I am a guy.
[00:32:12] Wait,
[00:32:12] road salt as in the road salt that went through into the vents,
[00:32:15] like the air ducts and like cleared up that big clog that like would have
[00:32:18] suffocated like the lower mines.
[00:32:21] That's one of the things that I did.
[00:32:22] Yeah.
[00:32:22] I mean,
[00:32:24] my,
[00:32:24] uh,
[00:32:24] my back isn't what it used to be after that,
[00:32:26] but you know,
[00:32:27] it's one of the things that I did.
[00:32:29] Oh,
[00:32:29] wow.
[00:32:30] Yeah.
[00:32:30] I've done a lot of stuff for the mine.
[00:32:32] You know,
[00:32:32] I've done maintenance.
[00:32:33] I've cleaned stuff out.
[00:32:35] I've converted living space.
[00:32:36] I even used to do,
[00:32:37] uh,
[00:32:38] some weapons design.
[00:32:39] You know,
[00:32:39] I used to,
[00:32:40] to work on a thing that would shoot,
[00:32:41] uh,
[00:32:42] stuff we get out of the mine.
[00:32:45] She'd be bigger.
[00:32:47] They,
[00:32:48] uh,
[00:32:48] they made me stop.
[00:32:49] It was,
[00:32:49] uh,
[00:32:49] I was making an assault rifle.
[00:32:52] Oh,
[00:32:53] and he just kind of smiles and looks expectantly hoping people will laugh.
[00:32:58] Assault rifle,
[00:33:00] salt mine.
[00:33:02] Ah,
[00:33:03] ah,
[00:33:03] so,
[00:33:04] so what's this about powder?
[00:33:07] What kind of,
[00:33:08] what's the,
[00:33:08] what,
[00:33:08] what kind of powder are we doing?
[00:33:10] It's,
[00:33:10] it's explosives.
[00:33:11] It's for mining.
[00:33:12] It's to increase the output.
[00:33:14] Oh,
[00:33:16] slightly.
[00:33:17] There's the catch.
[00:33:18] We're,
[00:33:19] we're transporting explosives in,
[00:33:22] in the shambulance.
[00:33:23] Okay.
[00:33:25] Okay.
[00:33:28] You seem a bit disturbed.
[00:33:30] Oh yeah.
[00:33:31] You know,
[00:33:31] I mean,
[00:33:32] no,
[00:33:32] no,
[00:33:32] it's fine.
[00:33:33] Like,
[00:33:33] sure.
[00:33:33] Nothing will go wrong.
[00:33:35] Sure.
[00:33:35] No,
[00:33:35] it's perfectly safe.
[00:33:36] Just don't light it on fire and don't,
[00:33:39] you know,
[00:33:39] roll the,
[00:33:40] roll the,
[00:33:41] what was it?
[00:33:41] A shambulance.
[00:33:43] Yeah.
[00:33:43] Yeah.
[00:33:43] It's an,
[00:33:43] it's an ambulance.
[00:33:44] Perfectly safe.
[00:33:45] It's fine.
[00:33:47] All right.
[00:33:49] I was hoping you wouldn't roll the shambulance either way,
[00:33:52] but I mean,
[00:33:52] I planned on it,
[00:33:54] but I mean,
[00:33:55] it is the loss.
[00:33:56] Things happen.
[00:33:58] So I'm hoping that we can avoid those things.
[00:34:01] So the powder is salt,
[00:34:02] right?
[00:34:03] Am I following you?
[00:34:05] Is a powder salt?
[00:34:06] The powder is gunpowder,
[00:34:08] which they shape into charges and then use to blow up chunks of the salt.
[00:34:11] That's incorrect.
[00:34:12] It's more like extra spicy pepper.
[00:34:15] That's not the powder.
[00:34:16] I was hoping it was.
[00:34:18] Okay.
[00:34:20] We all look at it.
[00:34:22] And we'll end on that.
[00:34:27] Okay.
[00:34:27] Kind of flicks his nose a little bit.
[00:34:30] Just like,
[00:34:30] um,
[00:34:33] so you also know it is two legs away.
[00:34:36] So it is a two leg journey.
[00:34:37] So you are at hazard pay.
[00:34:39] That's one bounty per ticker per leg.
[00:34:41] What is everyone's break point?
[00:34:44] Uh,
[00:34:47] 14.
[00:34:48] No,
[00:34:48] no,
[00:34:48] it's the break even.
[00:34:49] I added a break even.
[00:34:50] Big point.
[00:34:52] I believe yours is four there.
[00:34:56] Yeah,
[00:34:56] it's four.
[00:34:57] Yeah.
[00:34:58] It is 11.
[00:35:00] Nine.
[00:35:02] Wait,
[00:35:02] no,
[00:35:02] no,
[00:35:03] uh,
[00:35:03] for break point.
[00:35:05] Not,
[00:35:05] not break even break point.
[00:35:06] I,
[00:35:07] break point is sustenance.
[00:35:09] Basically.
[00:35:10] Basically I did a break even.
[00:35:11] So it's easy just to know how much you need to make on a job.
[00:35:14] It would be five to make a profit.
[00:35:17] Three.
[00:35:18] Well,
[00:35:18] mine's 0.5 to each,
[00:35:20] each thing,
[00:35:21] right?
[00:35:21] Cause I'm the,
[00:35:22] the fringer.
[00:35:24] It should automatically be calculated for you.
[00:35:26] I,
[00:35:26] I'm,
[00:35:26] I'm still,
[00:35:27] I haven't converted it completely over.
[00:35:29] It's the equipment.
[00:35:31] I believe is just,
[00:35:32] Oh,
[00:35:34] also I forgot to mention to the listeners.
[00:35:35] We're playing with my test tough spots.
[00:35:39] So 4.5.
[00:35:42] That was my,
[00:35:43] my,
[00:35:44] before I converted over with 0.5,
[00:35:46] it's a,
[00:35:46] my break point is three.
[00:35:48] It's it's the,
[00:35:49] the equipment is 1.5.
[00:35:51] So your,
[00:35:52] your rent and sustenance and stuff like that is the same.
[00:35:57] Okay.
[00:35:59] You,
[00:36:00] how many dependents do you have?
[00:36:01] Just one.
[00:36:02] One.
[00:36:03] Okay.
[00:36:03] So you have a break point of three.
[00:36:06] So you guys are making 35 bounty.
[00:36:10] Hey,
[00:36:11] that's not bad.
[00:36:14] Shit.
[00:36:14] I could live forever on that.
[00:36:16] This is great.
[00:36:17] Which is three of you get nine.
[00:36:19] One of you gets eight.
[00:36:20] Well,
[00:36:21] right.
[00:36:22] Probably makes sense to give me the eight.
[00:36:25] Well,
[00:36:25] you guys can find more out in the field.
[00:36:27] Yeah.
[00:36:30] Is there anything you guys would like to do before heading out?
[00:36:33] I think we've already got,
[00:36:35] you know,
[00:36:36] I like I would probably tell my,
[00:36:38] my girlfriend that I'm not coming home.
[00:36:40] So I would probably be bringing her up.
[00:36:42] What?
[00:36:43] No,
[00:36:44] not like that,
[00:36:45] honey.
[00:36:45] Oh,
[00:36:45] shit.
[00:36:47] This is it.
[00:36:48] I'm a goner.
[00:36:49] I left you with enough weed to last you a while.
[00:36:53] It's going to explode on the road,
[00:36:54] baby.
[00:36:55] It's fine.
[00:36:57] Remember me.
[00:36:57] Well,
[00:36:58] good luck.
[00:36:59] I'm out of here.
[00:37:02] I know we're not quite to,
[00:37:04] I'm going to the store to get cigarettes phase yet,
[00:37:06] but I think I'm going to do it with a gun.
[00:37:08] You're practicing.
[00:37:09] You're practicing.
[00:37:10] No,
[00:37:11] but I would probably,
[00:37:12] she was expecting me to come home,
[00:37:14] but this job came up.
[00:37:15] Honey,
[00:37:16] is this,
[00:37:16] is this going to,
[00:37:18] in fact,
[00:37:18] I'll burn a UBIC charge to do that.
[00:37:20] I want,
[00:37:22] I want Ethan to play Mary Jane.
[00:37:26] Is that okay?
[00:37:27] Sure.
[00:37:28] If you want.
[00:37:29] Yeah.
[00:37:29] All right.
[00:37:31] Oh,
[00:37:31] Hey,
[00:37:32] honey.
[00:37:32] I'm at the enclave.
[00:37:34] Hey,
[00:37:34] how are you doing?
[00:37:35] How's the little,
[00:37:36] the little blunt treating you?
[00:37:40] She's really kicking tonight,
[00:37:42] but I got dinner on her.
[00:37:43] You going to be home soon?
[00:37:45] Oh yeah.
[00:37:46] About that.
[00:37:47] Look,
[00:37:51] weed wasn't really bringing a lot.
[00:37:53] I think back to giving away the stash.
[00:37:56] To get information that did nothing.
[00:37:59] Look like I'm going to help us take the crew real quick.
[00:38:02] All we got to do is drive a bunch of salt out somewhere,
[00:38:05] drive back.
[00:38:06] And I can,
[00:38:06] and we're going to be getting enough bounty.
[00:38:08] This,
[00:38:08] this will take care of us.
[00:38:10] I mean,
[00:38:11] I do this one job and then boom,
[00:38:13] we're good for months.
[00:38:16] So with S on it.
[00:38:19] So you may not want to cut a,
[00:38:21] cook a big of a portion,
[00:38:23] but will you do me a favor?
[00:38:26] And play that.
[00:38:28] When you,
[00:38:28] when you go to bed tonight,
[00:38:30] like I was reading that baby book.
[00:38:32] Can you play Tom Petty on the headphones and put it on your belly?
[00:38:36] So our little blunt can listen to it.
[00:38:39] Not last dance with Mary Jane.
[00:38:41] It seems too bad.
[00:38:43] That would be a little on the nose,
[00:38:45] wouldn't it?
[00:38:48] So you're being quiet,
[00:38:49] honey.
[00:38:50] Are we okay?
[00:38:51] I mean,
[00:38:51] this is for us.
[00:38:54] What's your,
[00:38:55] what's your character's name again?
[00:38:57] Uh,
[00:38:57] Shake.
[00:38:58] Shake.
[00:38:59] Or Shaker.
[00:39:00] Yeah.
[00:39:01] If you don't come home with a month's worth of bounty,
[00:39:04] I swear to God,
[00:39:05] I will never play Tom Petty in this house again.
[00:39:09] Honey,
[00:39:10] say it ain't so,
[00:39:11] say it ain't so.
[00:39:11] I'm free falling here,
[00:39:13] baby.
[00:39:13] I'm free falling.
[00:39:16] And we'll end on that.
[00:39:19] I've cut,
[00:39:19] I've cut back to,
[00:39:20] in my mind,
[00:39:21] I just went to that scene from,
[00:39:23] uh,
[00:39:24] Sling Blade where he's like,
[00:39:25] I'm hurting Linda.
[00:39:26] I'm hurting.
[00:39:29] All right.
[00:39:30] Thank you.
[00:39:31] Anybody else want to do anything productive?
[00:39:33] Did anyone else want to do anything?
[00:39:36] Or do you guys want to head off on the road with the shambulance?
[00:39:39] Shambulance.
[00:39:40] Let's get that shambulance going.
[00:39:43] Yep.
[00:39:44] Let's get the sham on the road.
[00:39:46] Shambulance.
[00:39:47] Just for the listeners,
[00:39:48] I believe it is the actual,
[00:39:50] um,
[00:39:51] SUV slash truck vehicle that you're using,
[00:39:54] Balto.
[00:39:55] Yes.
[00:39:56] Yeah.
[00:39:56] I'm using the,
[00:39:57] the SUV truck,
[00:39:58] but I'm also using the image that,
[00:40:00] uh,
[00:40:00] is provided in the,
[00:40:02] the core book.
[00:40:04] Which is the shambulance.
[00:40:05] Okay.
[00:40:05] I may or may not have drawn.
[00:40:09] Uh,
[00:40:09] yes.
[00:40:11] Uh,
[00:40:12] so who's sitting shotgun,
[00:40:13] uh,
[00:40:13] for the purposes of when you guys are in the vehicle,
[00:40:16] whoever's in the shotgun will be the one to make the awareness check for the
[00:40:19] leg because the driver will be too busy focusing on not crashing.
[00:40:23] And the other people will be in the back of the shambulance.
[00:40:27] I'm pretty aware.
[00:40:28] I don't mind riding shotgun.
[00:40:30] Thank God.
[00:40:31] Cause I'm pretty four 23.
[00:40:32] friendly.
[00:40:33] So yeah,
[00:40:33] go ahead.
[00:40:34] Yeah.
[00:40:34] Road talk.
[00:40:35] Come on up.
[00:40:37] Oh,
[00:40:37] this is nice up here.
[00:40:38] Yeah.
[00:40:39] Yeah.
[00:40:40] The seats are still,
[00:40:41] they're,
[00:40:41] they're a little bit more,
[00:40:42] a little worn from,
[00:40:43] uh,
[00:40:43] from a couple of years,
[00:40:44] but they're still,
[00:40:45] still got a little bit of a cushion to them.
[00:40:47] So this side,
[00:40:48] a little less than the driver's side,
[00:40:49] huh?
[00:40:50] Yeah.
[00:40:50] Yeah.
[00:40:52] Only 25% duct tape.
[00:40:55] Yeah.
[00:40:58] Kansas pretty flat as people probably know.
[00:41:02] The enclave's defenses mostly rely on shooting the casualties and dealing with them before they reach the enclave because you can see them from a distance out because it's just flat land.
[00:41:13] So you're given the all clear to head through the gate.
[00:41:15] There's no casualties in the area,
[00:41:17] or at least on your side of the fence.
[00:41:19] The gate opens and you drive off down the road.
[00:41:23] All of you give me a self-control check as you head out of the enclave into the loss for your first job with these people you've just met.
[00:41:32] Yep.
[00:41:34] Five over two.
[00:41:36] Eight over one.
[00:41:39] Ten over one.
[00:41:40] Cause I'm free.
[00:41:44] Welcome back,
[00:41:45] Craig.
[00:41:46] So you come to a stop.
[00:41:50] Enough shambles away to where it's not too much of a problem.
[00:41:53] We'll say,
[00:41:55] you guys are fine.
[00:41:58] But there are seven casualties around this telephone pole trying to get at this woman.
[00:42:05] Yeah.
[00:42:05] No.
[00:42:07] Balto will,
[00:42:08] will get out and,
[00:42:10] and get ready and like pull out his gun.
[00:42:14] Same.
[00:42:15] Same.
[00:42:16] Cause,
[00:42:17] yeah,
[00:42:18] she ain't right.
[00:42:19] You gotta put down those casualties.
[00:42:21] Like St.
[00:42:22] Bernard gets out and pulls his gun out,
[00:42:24] like super fast.
[00:42:26] Like he's done it a million times.
[00:42:29] There's almost like that thousand yard stare.
[00:42:31] And he just like,
[00:42:33] like his arm floats up to high level.
[00:42:35] His gun outstretched.
[00:42:38] The woman obviously saw you pull up.
[00:42:40] And as you got out,
[00:42:41] her eyes got big and she's sort of like,
[00:42:45] not really yelling.
[00:42:46] Cause she's trying not to attract more,
[00:42:48] but she's like,
[00:42:49] help,
[00:42:50] help.
[00:42:50] Get me down.
[00:42:52] She's kicking hands,
[00:42:53] reaching up at her.
[00:42:54] Balto will give her a thumbs up.
[00:42:58] Shake takes aim.
[00:42:59] And then accidentally hits the trigger,
[00:43:01] the release on the magazine.
[00:43:03] It's close to the ground.
[00:43:04] He immediately picks it back up and puts it back in.
[00:43:06] I don't want to make you all do self-control checks.
[00:43:09] Cause I'm being goofy.
[00:43:10] I was about to ask if you were serious for that exact reason.
[00:43:14] I mean,
[00:43:15] by all means,
[00:43:15] like,
[00:43:16] like drive us mad.
[00:43:20] So what,
[00:43:21] uh,
[00:43:21] you all level up your guns.
[00:43:23] Uh,
[00:43:24] if you wanted to shoot,
[00:43:26] can make a shoot check.
[00:43:27] All right.
[00:43:28] Let's do it.
[00:43:31] I got bonus to this.
[00:43:35] Oh yeah.
[00:43:37] Yeah.
[00:43:37] It's a,
[00:43:37] uh,
[00:43:38] eight over one,
[00:43:40] nine over two,
[00:43:41] 11 over one.
[00:43:44] Okay.
[00:43:45] Seven over six.
[00:43:46] Do we all have silencers?
[00:43:48] Yes.
[00:43:49] Okay.
[00:43:49] You all succeed.
[00:43:50] I will let you spend three more charges between the four of you to take out the three remaining
[00:43:56] casualties.
[00:43:57] I just wanted to see if any of you failed.
[00:43:59] Cause you were technically firing into a melee ish position.
[00:44:01] So I was just seeing if you would shoot her.
[00:44:04] I'll donate one of those charges.
[00:44:06] I will.
[00:44:07] Then what?
[00:44:08] I will as well.
[00:44:10] It's mighty nice of you all.
[00:44:12] Wow.
[00:44:13] Probably that magazine falling to the ground thing.
[00:44:15] Didn't make you all feel too calm.
[00:44:16] We were,
[00:44:17] yeah,
[00:44:17] it's a little like,
[00:44:18] you know,
[00:44:19] save,
[00:44:19] save your strength.
[00:44:20] I got seriously got a gun like that.
[00:44:22] Like if it's the release,
[00:44:24] like when you squeeze the trigger,
[00:44:25] if you're going to hold it wrong,
[00:44:26] it's like booming and the magazine falls out of it.
[00:44:28] And you're like,
[00:44:28] well,
[00:44:28] shit.
[00:44:30] God.
[00:44:31] All the casualties drop from your bullets and the woman sort of calms down and she's
[00:44:38] just like struggling against the ropes a bit.
[00:44:41] Can,
[00:44:41] can you let me down please?
[00:44:44] Has she been bitten?
[00:44:46] No,
[00:44:47] no,
[00:44:47] I haven't been bitten.
[00:44:49] They,
[00:44:50] they couldn't reach me up here.
[00:44:51] They,
[00:44:52] they couldn't bite me.
[00:44:53] I,
[00:44:54] I,
[00:44:54] I look at her,
[00:44:55] like I go to inspect her feet and stuff or like around her legs and such.
[00:45:01] Before tie,
[00:45:01] before untying her.
[00:45:03] Yeah.
[00:45:04] Is that an awareness or something?
[00:45:06] Give me,
[00:45:06] give me your medical check.
[00:45:08] I'll let you do a medical check for you to do a medical assessment.
[00:45:11] All right.
[00:45:11] So that's like first aid.
[00:45:12] You mean?
[00:45:13] Yeah.
[00:45:13] Or yeah.
[00:45:13] I didn't know if you had a profession or not.
[00:45:15] So no,
[00:45:16] I just got first aid.
[00:45:17] Okay.
[00:45:17] Yeah.
[00:45:17] First aid.
[00:45:22] Um,
[00:45:23] can I flip that with the will?
[00:45:25] Yeah.
[00:45:26] If you could do that.
[00:45:27] Yeah.
[00:45:28] Uh,
[00:45:29] unless you guys think I don't,
[00:45:30] I shouldn't.
[00:45:32] Hmm.
[00:45:32] It's your call,
[00:45:33] man.
[00:45:34] Yeah.
[00:45:35] I'm going to flip that.
[00:45:35] I'm going to spend that will.
[00:45:36] This is.
[00:45:38] Yeah.
[00:45:39] So that's a seven,
[00:45:40] a seven over three.
[00:45:42] She appears a bit dehydrated and a bit.
[00:45:48] Like she has an eight in a little bit.
[00:45:51] She does have what looks like scratches on her ankles.
[00:45:56] Okay.
[00:45:58] You see,
[00:45:59] I'm fine.
[00:45:59] Let's,
[00:46:00] let's,
[00:46:00] let's go.
[00:46:02] Hang on.
[00:46:02] Hang on.
[00:46:03] Um.
[00:46:05] Yeah.
[00:46:05] How did it exactly?
[00:46:07] Did you get tied up up there?
[00:46:08] Yeah.
[00:46:10] Some,
[00:46:11] some assholes thought that they would torture me and they,
[00:46:18] they tied me up here to,
[00:46:20] to,
[00:46:20] to suffer.
[00:46:23] No,
[00:46:23] not good people.
[00:46:26] Well,
[00:46:26] clearly.
[00:46:28] Those of you with sensitivity can roll sensitivity.
[00:46:32] Uh,
[00:46:33] I would like to roll sensitivity.
[00:46:35] I do have sensitivity as well.
[00:46:37] Nine over seven for me.
[00:46:39] God damn it.
[00:46:40] All of you sensitivity.
[00:46:42] yeah.
[00:46:44] However,
[00:46:44] I don't think she's telling the truth.
[00:46:47] I've over one.
[00:46:49] Yeah.
[00:46:49] Okay.
[00:46:49] Okay.
[00:46:50] Those of you who pass,
[00:46:51] uh,
[00:46:51] she's not necessarily being deceitful.
[00:46:54] If,
[00:46:55] if you want to look at it this way,
[00:46:56] but she's,
[00:46:57] she is holding back information.
[00:47:00] She,
[00:47:00] the,
[00:47:00] shouldn't we let her down guys?
[00:47:04] I'd like to hit a full.
[00:47:05] I don't know.
[00:47:05] There's something with her story.
[00:47:08] I don't know.
[00:47:10] Something else going on.
[00:47:12] Okay.
[00:47:13] Um,
[00:47:15] it,
[00:47:15] it was,
[00:47:15] it was a couple of meek.
[00:47:16] They were trying to use me as like,
[00:47:18] you know,
[00:47:19] the dinner bell.
[00:47:20] They wanted to,
[00:47:20] to bring in some,
[00:47:21] they wanted me to,
[00:47:23] to bring in some casualties and keep them here for them to,
[00:47:26] to go back and round up later,
[00:47:27] which is,
[00:47:28] which is why you got to let me down.
[00:47:29] They'll,
[00:47:29] they'll be back eventually.
[00:47:31] Come on guys,
[00:47:32] please,
[00:47:33] please.
[00:47:33] You tell us that anyway,
[00:47:36] because I don't think,
[00:47:37] I don't want people to think I'm associated with them or whatever.
[00:47:40] They just captured me and,
[00:47:41] and they were,
[00:47:41] they were using me as bait.
[00:47:43] I mean,
[00:47:43] that checks out with the,
[00:47:45] with those folks.
[00:47:46] Yes.
[00:47:49] Yeah.
[00:47:50] Can it,
[00:47:51] can you guys handle,
[00:47:52] uh,
[00:47:52] getting her down?
[00:47:54] Sure.
[00:47:55] I got it.
[00:47:56] All right.
[00:47:57] Well,
[00:47:57] they're doing that.
[00:47:57] I want to scavenge.
[00:47:59] Balto.
[00:47:59] Do you want to share the fact that she got scratched up by the casualties?
[00:48:02] Yeah.
[00:48:02] Yeah.
[00:48:03] Yeah.
[00:48:03] I kind of like,
[00:48:04] just like,
[00:48:04] uh,
[00:48:05] before,
[00:48:05] uh,
[00:48:05] before,
[00:48:05] um,
[00:48:06] Oh,
[00:48:07] what's his name?
[00:48:08] Oh,
[00:48:09] shoot.
[00:48:09] What was your name?
[00:48:10] Adam?
[00:48:11] What was your character's name?
[00:48:11] Shaik.
[00:48:12] Yeah.
[00:48:12] Before Shaik,
[00:48:13] uh,
[00:48:13] goes up,
[00:48:14] I like,
[00:48:14] I like,
[00:48:14] just like grab him for a second.
[00:48:15] It's like,
[00:48:15] Hey,
[00:48:16] uh,
[00:48:16] she's,
[00:48:17] she's been scratched.
[00:48:17] Uh,
[00:48:18] uh,
[00:48:18] if when you bring her down,
[00:48:19] uh,
[00:48:20] should I,
[00:48:21] should I do it like a,
[00:48:22] you think it's Warren's a blood test just to test?
[00:48:24] Like she looks like her,
[00:48:25] her feet,
[00:48:26] she doesn't get a bite marks,
[00:48:27] but she's got like some scratches on her,
[00:48:28] on her legs.
[00:48:29] Hmm.
[00:48:31] I don't know,
[00:48:32] man.
[00:48:32] I'm new to this.
[00:48:34] All right.
[00:48:35] Yeah.
[00:48:36] Yeah.
[00:48:37] yeah.
[00:48:37] Bring her down.
[00:48:37] And,
[00:48:38] uh,
[00:48:38] ma'am,
[00:48:38] um,
[00:48:38] when you get down here,
[00:48:39] uh,
[00:48:39] I gotta have to,
[00:48:40] uh,
[00:48:40] administer,
[00:48:41] uh,
[00:48:42] a blood test just to,
[00:48:44] just to be,
[00:48:45] just to be sure.
[00:48:48] What do you mean?
[00:48:49] Blood test?
[00:48:50] Well,
[00:48:51] just,
[00:48:51] just,
[00:48:51] uh,
[00:48:52] I just wanted to like check on some of those,
[00:48:53] uh,
[00:48:54] some of those cuts that you got,
[00:48:56] uh,
[00:48:56] probably from your,
[00:48:57] uh,
[00:48:58] from,
[00:48:58] from just from,
[00:48:59] you know,
[00:48:59] being up there and all you,
[00:49:01] you got a blood testing kit or something or,
[00:49:05] I got a first aid kit for a first aid.
[00:49:08] Oh,
[00:49:08] okay.
[00:49:08] Yeah.
[00:49:09] Yeah.
[00:49:09] You're talking me down.
[00:49:09] That's fine.
[00:49:10] First aid kit's fine.
[00:49:12] All right.
[00:49:14] Cause I imagine that is what the DHQS issue allows with the first aid kit.
[00:49:18] Like on a first aid check.
[00:49:20] Let me just double check the wording.
[00:49:23] So I'm mistaken.
[00:49:24] In which case,
[00:49:24] DHQS issue,
[00:49:25] first aid check can be used to administer a blood test for infection.
[00:49:28] Will may not be spent on the test.
[00:49:30] Yes,
[00:49:30] you will make a first aid check.
[00:49:33] You take off a charge.
[00:49:35] You can add additional charges to do the first aid check.
[00:49:37] And I will tell you if she is infected or not infected.
[00:49:40] Okay.
[00:49:41] Tell you what,
[00:49:41] let's not cut her down till we do that.
[00:49:44] Oh,
[00:49:44] you guys sure?
[00:49:45] Yeah,
[00:49:46] that's fine.
[00:49:46] That's fine.
[00:49:46] Just do the test and then you can cut me down.
[00:49:48] It's fine.
[00:49:49] All right.
[00:49:49] Yeah,
[00:49:50] no worries.
[00:49:51] Sorry for the hassle,
[00:49:52] but gotta be safe.
[00:49:53] No,
[00:49:53] sorry.
[00:49:53] No,
[00:49:54] I understand.
[00:49:54] I understand.
[00:49:55] So first aid,
[00:49:56] first aid.
[00:49:59] Oh,
[00:49:59] yep.
[00:50:00] Those of you who passed the sensitivity check before,
[00:50:03] I believe that was road salt and St. Bernard.
[00:50:07] Uh,
[00:50:07] she seemed relieved when he said it was a first aid kit and not a blood test kit.
[00:50:12] Hmm.
[00:50:12] Which leads us to believe she might be immune.
[00:50:16] If,
[00:50:17] if you want to believe that.
[00:50:18] Dinner bell will ring longer if it doesn't turn.
[00:50:20] The gun is still out.
[00:50:23] I'm a roll.
[00:50:24] The first aid.
[00:50:27] Uh,
[00:50:28] that is going to be 11 over eight.
[00:50:32] Clean.
[00:50:33] No infection.
[00:50:35] Okay.
[00:50:37] Now,
[00:50:38] when I asked if they could handle doing this,
[00:50:41] I wanted to be scavenging the casualties by the way.
[00:50:45] Sure.
[00:50:45] You can do that.
[00:50:46] Great.
[00:50:47] That's a 10 over three.
[00:50:50] So,
[00:50:51] I assume you came from an enclave,
[00:50:52] right?
[00:50:54] Yeah,
[00:50:55] we're from,
[00:50:55] uh,
[00:50:56] No,
[00:50:57] it's not hashter.
[00:50:57] Uh,
[00:50:58] what was it called again?
[00:50:58] Hatch.
[00:51:00] Hatch.
[00:51:00] I'm sorry.
[00:51:01] I'm sticking that Lovecraft there.
[00:51:03] Um,
[00:51:05] yeah,
[00:51:06] we came back from that part.
[00:51:07] It's,
[00:51:07] it's,
[00:51:08] it's a place.
[00:51:11] Oh,
[00:51:13] I'll head that way.
[00:51:15] If that's,
[00:51:15] if that's all right.
[00:51:17] If you think they'll take me in.
[00:51:20] Yeah.
[00:51:20] I mean,
[00:51:20] considering you,
[00:51:21] uh,
[00:51:21] you got all these together,
[00:51:22] here's,
[00:51:23] here's one of the bounty to get you started.
[00:51:26] Oh,
[00:51:27] thanks.
[00:51:32] Life is precious.
[00:51:33] You guys are awfully generous.
[00:51:35] Um,
[00:51:36] can,
[00:51:36] can one of you spare a ration too?
[00:51:38] I haven't eaten in a while.
[00:51:41] If I spare a ration,
[00:51:42] can I have a will for my soft spot?
[00:51:45] Life is precious.
[00:51:46] Uh,
[00:51:46] sure.
[00:51:46] From the,
[00:51:47] the combined bounty and,
[00:51:48] and ration.
[00:51:49] Yes.
[00:51:49] Yep.
[00:51:50] Okay.
[00:51:50] Hand one over.
[00:51:52] Oh,
[00:51:53] thank you.
[00:51:53] Thank you so much.
[00:51:54] You guys are great.
[00:51:56] You guys take a crew.
[00:51:58] Yeah.
[00:51:59] Just getting started.
[00:52:01] Oh,
[00:52:02] okay.
[00:52:03] What's your name?
[00:52:04] So I could tell them that you recommended me to head this way.
[00:52:08] I look at St.
[00:52:09] Bernard.
[00:52:10] Yeah.
[00:52:12] Salty dogs.
[00:52:12] Okay.
[00:52:13] Thank,
[00:52:14] thank you.
[00:52:14] Thank you so much.
[00:52:17] St.
[00:52:17] Bernard like narrows his eyes a little bit though.
[00:52:20] I'm going to go.
[00:52:22] Okay.
[00:52:22] Bye.
[00:52:23] Thank you.
[00:52:24] One question,
[00:52:24] dear.
[00:52:25] Before you go.
[00:52:26] Uh,
[00:52:26] yeah.
[00:52:28] Give me if this is rude to ask,
[00:52:29] but.
[00:52:31] Seemed awfully relieved.
[00:52:32] A moment ago when he broke out of first aid kit.
[00:52:37] I mean,
[00:52:37] it's always nice to have a medic out here in the loss.
[00:52:41] Yeah.
[00:52:41] Kind of relieved.
[00:52:43] I don't know what you're getting at.
[00:52:46] But that's something you would like not to show up on a blood test.
[00:52:50] I think it was to come clean with us.
[00:52:53] Uh,
[00:52:53] roll me persuade.
[00:52:59] It's only a,
[00:53:00] that's only a seven under nine.
[00:53:03] Don't you know it's rude to ask about a lady's health and age and all that.
[00:53:07] And she'll turn around and start walking off again.
[00:53:11] Man,
[00:53:11] I used to have to take these tests all the time.
[00:53:13] Maybe you can't operate that forklift unless you pee in this cup.
[00:53:17] Kind of.
[00:53:18] I mean,
[00:53:18] it was stupid,
[00:53:19] man.
[00:53:20] I just rattle on.
[00:53:23] She basically just like it back at my soft spot.
[00:53:31] Oh,
[00:53:31] did I really?
[00:53:33] What a character that bitch in character.
[00:53:35] Oh yes,
[00:53:36] of course you're right.
[00:53:37] You're perfectly right.
[00:53:38] I'm so sorry.
[00:53:38] I'm so embarrassed.
[00:53:40] Give me a self-control check.
[00:53:43] I really should have your character sheets up in front of me.
[00:53:46] Uh,
[00:53:47] it's like a 12 over four.
[00:53:49] Okay.
[00:53:49] You're fine.
[00:53:50] You're fine.
[00:53:50] My soft spot manners maketh man.
[00:53:53] Uh,
[00:53:55] Oh,
[00:53:56] that back part.
[00:53:58] Boy,
[00:53:59] didn't it?
[00:54:01] Also just,
[00:54:02] like would I have technically gotten a will for that,
[00:54:04] for the soft spot of,
[00:54:05] uh,
[00:54:05] help those in need?
[00:54:06] Or is that,
[00:54:07] uh,
[00:54:07] something to know for the future?
[00:54:10] That's something to note for the future.
[00:54:12] You didn't really like you did help out someone,
[00:54:16] but it wasn't that hard of a situation to get them out of.
[00:54:20] They were distracted and all that.
[00:54:23] So if it was like a more difficult situation,
[00:54:26] then I probably would have given it to you.
[00:54:28] Yeah.
[00:54:28] Okay.
[00:54:30] So you guys load back up in the shamblance and head off.
[00:54:34] As you're driving down the road,
[00:54:37] you start seeing a black smoke rising into the sky above the trees and the direction you're heading.
[00:54:47] Burn another fuel charge on the vehicle.
[00:54:51] As you're pulling up to the,
[00:54:54] the area on the other side of Hutchinson,
[00:54:57] um,
[00:54:58] that you're in,
[00:54:59] you come upon this big clearing where the manufacturing building is at.
[00:55:08] And you see that the building is fenced off,
[00:55:15] but there is a large side of the building,
[00:55:19] which has collapsed,
[00:55:21] which the black smoke is billowing out of.
[00:55:24] And there are a lot of,
[00:55:25] you can just see for free,
[00:55:28] a lot of dead casualties scattered amongst the street and the parking lot,
[00:55:31] uh,
[00:55:32] on the one side of the building.
[00:55:34] I bring the car in slow.
[00:55:39] What the hell happened?
[00:55:41] That's a curious sight.
[00:55:44] Uh,
[00:55:45] could,
[00:55:45] could one of us roll a foresight maybe on that?
[00:55:48] Uh,
[00:55:48] sure.
[00:55:49] Anyone have foresight higher than one?
[00:55:52] Yeah,
[00:55:52] that's a good,
[00:55:52] good question.
[00:55:54] One of you guys could also give me an awareness check.
[00:55:58] I'll do awareness.
[00:55:59] I'm riding shotgun.
[00:56:00] I'll do foresight.
[00:56:03] Uh,
[00:56:04] not a success on awareness.
[00:56:06] Okay.
[00:56:07] Uh,
[00:56:07] six over five.
[00:56:10] I'm too busy trying to tell shake a joke.
[00:56:13] Hey,
[00:56:13] shake.
[00:56:14] When do cowboys like to smoke weed?
[00:56:19] Man,
[00:56:20] what cowboys like to smoke weed?
[00:56:22] High noon.
[00:56:26] You know,
[00:56:27] I,
[00:56:27] I,
[00:56:28] I slap,
[00:56:28] uh,
[00:56:30] slap him on the shoulder.
[00:56:31] Like,
[00:56:31] it's funny cause it's true.
[00:56:33] You start hearing casualties breaking into the vehicle.
[00:56:35] Um,
[00:56:36] no,
[00:56:39] yeah.
[00:56:42] Either the person has spaced out the,
[00:56:46] what,
[00:56:47] however he makes the gun powder in the building enough to where a single explosion didn't just ignite everything throughout the whole building.
[00:56:57] Or that was your shipment put to the side that got blown up because of something or someone else blew up the building or this section of the building.
[00:57:09] Can I,
[00:57:10] can I roll that self-control check?
[00:57:13] Yes.
[00:57:15] Okay.
[00:57:16] Yeah.
[00:57:17] Or,
[00:57:17] or an outside force blew up the side of the building and there was fortunately not that much gunpowder there.
[00:57:22] Uh,
[00:57:22] it wasn't like this the last time I was here.
[00:57:26] Good,
[00:57:26] good thing you said in the place where it's supposed to be it.
[00:57:29] So that was an eight,
[00:57:30] eight,
[00:57:31] eight,
[00:57:32] not,
[00:57:32] not a natural eight,
[00:57:33] eight.
[00:57:34] It was with my,
[00:57:35] uh,
[00:57:35] the,
[00:57:35] with my,
[00:57:36] my black,
[00:57:36] with my self-control bonus.
[00:57:39] Just take one distress.
[00:57:41] Okay.
[00:57:41] If the guy's livelihood is,
[00:57:44] is,
[00:57:45] is,
[00:57:45] is making gunpowder,
[00:57:46] then he's probably got others.
[00:57:48] If that was your shipment,
[00:57:49] you could just convince him to give him,
[00:57:51] someone else's shipment first because he let yours get blown up.
[00:57:54] Yeah.
[00:57:55] I just,
[00:57:55] I look over to,
[00:57:56] uh,
[00:57:56] to St. Bernard.
[00:57:57] It's like,
[00:57:57] well,
[00:57:57] I hope you can,
[00:57:58] uh,
[00:57:59] you can talk if that was ours.
[00:58:00] I hope you can,
[00:58:01] you can talk the guy into getting,
[00:58:04] giving us,
[00:58:04] uh,
[00:58:05] somebody else's.
[00:58:07] We won't be leaving without our shipment.
[00:58:09] I can assure you that.
[00:58:11] Oh,
[00:58:11] I'm both relieved and terrified.
[00:58:16] This is where we're supposed to go.
[00:58:18] Yeah.
[00:58:19] Yeah,
[00:58:19] it is.
[00:58:19] All right.
[00:58:20] I'll go ahead and make that stuff control now.
[00:58:22] Oh,
[00:58:22] you are.
[00:58:23] Uh,
[00:58:24] nine over,
[00:58:24] nine over six.
[00:58:25] Like,
[00:58:26] I put my,
[00:58:26] my weak spot in as high.
[00:58:30] Nick,
[00:58:31] it's high.
[00:58:32] That's my.
[00:58:32] Sure.
[00:58:32] You could do that.
[00:58:33] Well,
[00:58:33] maybe not high.
[00:58:34] You could do like head in the clouds.
[00:58:36] Yeah.
[00:58:36] Cause a high would mean you'd have to have like the actual gear and everything.
[00:58:41] Well,
[00:58:41] I mean,
[00:58:41] it's kind of a long-term project.
[00:58:46] Yeah.
[00:58:46] You,
[00:58:47] you know,
[00:58:47] you've talked to that guy.
[00:58:48] It's like,
[00:58:48] Hey man,
[00:58:49] I got a story to,
[00:58:50] and they just kind of stare off.
[00:58:52] Yep.
[00:58:54] Road salt.
[00:58:55] You know that the,
[00:58:56] the tanks of gunpowder inside are set up.
[00:58:59] So you can't chain react all of them and blow up the entire building.
[00:59:03] So you don't have to make this up control check.
[00:59:06] Sounds good.
[00:59:07] I'll share that with my fellow takers.
[00:59:11] Oh,
[00:59:12] well,
[00:59:12] that's good.
[00:59:13] Heart's still pumping.
[00:59:17] Oh no,
[00:59:18] I just,
[00:59:18] just like,
[00:59:19] like again,
[00:59:20] like he,
[00:59:22] or a road salt told us,
[00:59:23] like,
[00:59:24] oh,
[00:59:24] like,
[00:59:24] oh,
[00:59:25] like the,
[00:59:25] the,
[00:59:25] the whole building wouldn't have gone up.
[00:59:27] I was like,
[00:59:28] well,
[00:59:28] that's,
[00:59:28] that's good.
[00:59:29] But like the blood's still running or like the,
[00:59:31] the,
[00:59:31] the heart's still pumping really fast because of the,
[00:59:33] the anxiety and stress.
[00:59:35] So.
[00:59:37] I make,
[00:59:37] how many casualties are around the building right now?
[00:59:40] None.
[00:59:41] They're all.
[00:59:42] Laying down.
[00:59:45] Interpor,
[00:59:46] which is a little surprising giving the billings billowing smoke from the
[00:59:49] explosion,
[00:59:49] or they are all deceased.
[00:59:53] And at that point.
[00:59:55] I've wrote for this randomly shaker.
[00:59:58] You get a call on your ubiquity.
[01:00:00] Hello.
[01:00:03] Hello.
[01:00:04] Is this the person in the.
[01:00:08] It says shambulance on the side.
[01:00:10] The,
[01:00:10] in the shambulance.
[01:00:14] I lean out the window and look.
[01:00:16] Yeah.
[01:00:17] Son of a bitch.
[01:00:18] It does.
[01:00:21] Oh,
[01:00:21] Hey man.
[01:00:21] I didn't know I was broadcasting.
[01:00:23] What's up?
[01:00:25] Who,
[01:00:26] who are you?
[01:00:28] Oh man.
[01:00:29] I'm shake.
[01:00:30] These,
[01:00:30] these,
[01:00:31] these come to Billy Bung water back in college,
[01:00:33] but I'm shake right now.
[01:00:34] But what can I do for you?
[01:00:35] We're here to,
[01:00:36] are you in the building?
[01:00:40] No,
[01:00:42] no,
[01:00:44] but we've got eyes on you.
[01:00:45] So don't worry.
[01:00:47] It's not comforting,
[01:00:48] but I,
[01:00:49] so what's the deal?
[01:00:50] What are you doing here?
[01:00:53] Oh,
[01:00:54] we're picking up gunpowder.
[01:00:58] For what purpose?
[01:01:01] Who are you?
[01:01:04] I asked you first.
[01:01:05] I know,
[01:01:06] but I'm not like,
[01:01:07] I,
[01:01:07] I don't adhere to your laws,
[01:01:09] man.
[01:01:09] I'm a,
[01:01:10] I'm my own nation,
[01:01:11] dude.
[01:01:13] One of you is willing to,
[01:01:15] if you guys are willing to step out of the vehicle,
[01:01:18] one of us is willing to approach and talk to you.
[01:01:20] If you prefer a face to face,
[01:01:22] I put my hand poorly over my microphone.
[01:01:26] Dude said he's got eyes on us.
[01:01:28] Yes.
[01:01:29] And that's normal.
[01:01:30] He won't tell me who he is.
[01:01:33] Is that normal too?
[01:01:35] Sure.
[01:01:38] Usually it's a mining truck we send out,
[01:01:40] but I guess.
[01:01:44] Okay.
[01:01:46] So y'all want to,
[01:01:47] y'all want to step out of the van or,
[01:01:50] some of us.
[01:01:52] I mean,
[01:01:53] they know me,
[01:01:53] I'll get out.
[01:01:55] That's a good idea.
[01:01:56] We take him out of the van.
[01:02:01] They,
[01:02:02] like,
[01:02:04] when you say you got eyes on us,
[01:02:06] like,
[01:02:07] is it like a reticle kind of,
[01:02:09] or is it like,
[01:02:10] like your,
[01:02:11] your,
[01:02:12] your cornea kind of thing?
[01:02:14] Like,
[01:02:14] which,
[01:02:15] which is yes.
[01:02:17] Both.
[01:02:19] Oh,
[01:02:20] you'd need one for the other.
[01:02:21] That's right.
[01:02:22] Oh,
[01:02:24] I'm just going to go ahead and open the door.
[01:02:26] Step out.
[01:02:26] Like a dumbass.
[01:02:28] I'll also get out because they know me here.
[01:02:31] Staying the wheel.
[01:02:32] Slowly,
[01:02:33] hands in a neutral position.
[01:02:36] Wave towards the building.
[01:02:37] Did St.
[01:02:38] Bernard come out?
[01:02:39] Good that you asked him like that,
[01:02:41] but I,
[01:02:43] why not?
[01:02:44] We're all getting out.
[01:02:46] Okay.
[01:02:47] Well,
[01:02:47] it sounded like,
[01:02:49] um,
[01:02:49] Balta wanted to stay in,
[01:02:50] in the vehicle.
[01:02:51] Yeah.
[01:02:53] They didn't say everyone had to get out.
[01:02:56] Hey,
[01:02:56] I'm the driver.
[01:02:57] I got to stay in my car.
[01:03:00] So you,
[01:03:01] you step out.
[01:03:02] Road Saul starts waving towards the,
[01:03:04] uh,
[01:03:05] the building.
[01:03:06] Shortly down the road.
[01:03:08] You hear over the,
[01:03:09] the Ubix specs.
[01:03:11] Also Markov a charge for you.
[01:03:12] You've expects there.
[01:03:14] Check.
[01:03:14] Okay.
[01:03:15] Check.
[01:03:16] You hear over the,
[01:03:16] you've expects that.
[01:03:17] If you could just start walking towards the,
[01:03:18] the tree line on the edge of the road,
[01:03:21] I'm over here.
[01:03:22] Uh,
[01:03:23] I kind of signal for road.
[01:03:25] So I was like,
[01:03:25] yeah,
[01:03:25] he says he's over there.
[01:03:28] Uh,
[01:03:29] so yeah,
[01:03:29] I'll,
[01:03:30] I'll go ahead and start.
[01:03:33] Is it too late to make an awareness check right now?
[01:03:36] Yeah,
[01:03:36] you can make an awareness check now.
[01:03:38] All right.
[01:03:39] What's a critical success and what's a critical,
[01:03:40] failure for natural dice?
[01:03:42] I can't remember.
[01:03:43] Evens is success.
[01:03:45] Odds is failure.
[01:03:47] Okay.
[01:03:48] Mine's double eight,
[01:03:50] uh,
[01:03:51] unmodified.
[01:03:53] You see on the side of the road,
[01:03:56] two people in pointed in the vehicle's direction.
[01:03:59] The other one is a pair of Ubix specs and is looking at you.
[01:04:04] He spots that you spot him and waves.
[01:04:08] I give you my best force gun place.
[01:04:11] Road salt.
[01:04:11] You notice he's not waving towards the building,
[01:04:13] but towards the woods around the building.
[01:04:16] I'll look in that direction.
[01:04:18] You see the two men military color fatigues.
[01:04:23] One has a weapon.
[01:04:24] The other one has a weapon too,
[01:04:26] but it's not,
[01:04:27] um,
[01:04:27] in his hands.
[01:04:29] It's around his,
[01:04:30] uh,
[01:04:30] it's on a sling.
[01:04:31] Are they familiar with the last time I was here?
[01:04:34] Uh,
[01:04:34] no.
[01:04:35] Um,
[01:04:36] the last time you were here,
[01:04:37] there's just a single guy in charge.
[01:04:40] Did he wear military fatigues?
[01:04:42] No,
[01:04:42] he wore overalls,
[01:04:44] uh,
[01:04:44] smelled like manure,
[01:04:47] very unkempt beard.
[01:04:50] Quietly to the people,
[01:04:52] uh,
[01:04:52] in the van,
[01:04:53] uh,
[01:04:54] and,
[01:04:54] and next to me.
[01:04:56] These guys are new.
[01:04:57] These aren't the same guys that we dealt with last time.
[01:04:59] Just be careful.
[01:05:01] And then big smile and wave.
[01:05:04] It better be expecting us.
[01:05:07] They,
[01:05:07] they gesture for you to come over.
[01:05:09] I'll let shake walk in front.
[01:05:12] Okay.
[01:05:13] So I just walk like there's nothing wrong.
[01:05:16] And I'll follow it a little distance.
[01:05:18] Hi guys.
[01:05:20] What's up?
[01:05:22] Hello.
[01:05:23] You guys,
[01:05:25] uh,
[01:05:27] take crew here to get gunpowder is what Shaker told us.
[01:05:36] Yeah,
[01:05:36] that's right.
[01:05:37] You ought to be expecting us.
[01:05:39] All right.
[01:05:40] Okay.
[01:05:41] Well,
[01:05:42] by order XYZ,
[01:05:45] uh,
[01:05:45] under president Hunter,
[01:05:47] we are conscripting you temporarily into,
[01:05:52] into the DH,
[01:05:53] into the use of the DHQS to finish a job of ours.
[01:05:57] We're going to need you to help us.
[01:06:00] Look at St.
[01:06:00] Bernard.
[01:06:01] Oh,
[01:06:03] looks at St.
[01:06:03] Bernard.
[01:06:04] What's the DHQS?
[01:06:09] God's sake,
[01:06:10] man.
[01:06:11] Is that like a TV,
[01:06:12] that show on TV that used to be able to bath stuff off of?
[01:06:15] Like they would show like rings and things.
[01:06:18] You're precisely correct.
[01:06:19] Go on.
[01:06:20] What's this job you couldn't complete on your own?
[01:06:24] We tried to take the location from a group of terrorists,
[01:06:32] colloquially known as the moths.
[01:06:34] And unbeknownst to us,
[01:06:37] the place was riddled with explosives.
[01:06:39] Our initial assault failed.
[01:06:42] We are in need of someone to go in and recover intel that they have in there.
[01:06:49] Uh,
[01:06:50] there may be a map or a laptop with information on a upcoming terrorist attack.
[01:06:59] And because they're expecting you,
[01:07:01] you are in prime position to just,
[01:07:03] uh,
[01:07:03] walk in and then walk away with it.
[01:07:06] Now,
[01:07:07] I don't know anything about any terrorists around here.
[01:07:09] There's usually just,
[01:07:10] uh,
[01:07:10] just one guy that does production.
[01:07:13] Yes.
[01:07:15] We know of him.
[01:07:16] His name was,
[01:07:17] uh,
[01:07:17] Boomer.
[01:07:18] I guess we realize now why he has that name.
[01:07:22] Sorry.
[01:07:23] This place is all about explosives.
[01:07:24] It's,
[01:07:24] uh,
[01:07:25] just a production facility.
[01:07:27] Yes.
[01:07:27] Yes.
[01:07:28] Well,
[01:07:29] apparently this Boomer was a moth sympathizer and let moths stay at his residence from time to time to help us out here.
[01:07:42] Uh,
[01:07:42] we are willing to pay you for the trouble.
[01:07:48] What would I know about the moths?
[01:07:50] Um,
[01:07:52] trying to remember exactly.
[01:07:54] The whole Nat's Whisper.
[01:07:57] Nat was part of Ubik.
[01:07:58] She put out,
[01:08:00] she leaked the information that the U S was basically,
[01:08:02] um,
[01:08:03] chopping off the West and caused the huge rush on the East.
[01:08:07] She,
[01:08:08] along with any remainder of Ubik and any operation.
[01:08:15] I keep wanting to say paperclip,
[01:08:17] but no,
[01:08:17] it's not paperclip.
[01:08:20] Project paperclip 2.0.
[01:08:22] Yeah.
[01:08:23] Utility.
[01:08:23] It's a project utility,
[01:08:24] I think,
[01:08:25] or whatever was the special forces was to go around to secure key personnel and sites,
[01:08:31] as well as like stop reactors from exploding and things like that.
[01:08:35] the moths are leftover soldiers who were left behind or didn't decide to go into the recession because they weren't happy with how they were treated,
[01:08:42] how the situation was treated,
[01:08:43] et cetera,
[01:08:44] et cetera.
[01:08:44] And they combined up with the leftover people of Ubik,
[01:08:48] along with Nat,
[01:08:48] who's the leader.
[01:08:50] And they basically fight back against the DHQS and other government powers,
[01:09:00] mostly the DHQS,
[01:09:02] that they do not agree with.
[01:09:04] And the reason why they aren't just,
[01:09:06] you know,
[01:09:07] blown off the map is because they ensure that the internet,
[01:09:11] the biggest thing that keeps civilization going,
[01:09:13] is still running.
[01:09:14] So there's a lot of proxy wars and other stuff like that,
[01:09:18] that they do,
[01:09:19] but it appears that they are here.
[01:09:22] They are planning an attack.
[01:09:24] There is information to that attack in the building.
[01:09:27] And the DHQS would like you guys to go in and just acquire that information.
[01:09:33] Information for them,
[01:09:35] or whatever information you could find.
[01:09:37] They're planning an attack in general,
[01:09:39] or they're planning to attack this dynamite guy?
[01:09:43] They are planning to attack in general.
[01:09:45] We don't know if it is,
[01:09:46] it's going to be a local attack.
[01:09:49] We don't know if it's an enclave or which enclave,
[01:09:53] but they are planning an attack.
[01:09:56] Did the DHQS guy tell us what his name was?
[01:09:59] No,
[01:09:59] you haven't asked.
[01:10:01] I've,
[01:10:02] I've dealt with guys like you before.
[01:10:04] I'm thinking you're probably not asking,
[01:10:06] but seeing as we're probably going to be working together,
[01:10:10] whether we like it or not,
[01:10:11] what's your name?
[01:10:12] My name is,
[01:10:15] I guess you could call me,
[01:10:19] Poseidon.
[01:10:20] Oh,
[01:10:21] that's a good name.
[01:10:21] Hey,
[01:10:23] why do fish swim in saltwater?
[01:10:27] Why is that?
[01:10:29] Because pepper water makes them sneeze.
[01:10:31] Okay.
[01:10:33] Well,
[01:10:35] you were shot.
[01:10:38] You saw him reflect,
[01:10:40] you saw him reflexively have to,
[01:10:43] uh,
[01:10:44] stop himself from,
[01:10:45] uh,
[01:10:46] face palming there.
[01:10:48] If you pay us an extra bounty,
[01:10:49] I'll promise he never says a joke in front of you again.
[01:10:53] I may take you up on that offer.
[01:10:55] Um,
[01:10:56] so are you guys interested in helping us out?
[01:11:00] if you agree and you come through,
[01:11:04] uh,
[01:11:05] we may have some more work for you down the line.
[01:11:08] If,
[01:11:09] if you're willing to help out us and the United States in general,
[01:11:15] look at St.
[01:11:16] Bernard.
[01:11:18] Shake his shit himself over here.
[01:11:20] I'm in the car.
[01:11:24] Realizing it's like,
[01:11:24] man,
[01:11:25] it would be really helpful,
[01:11:25] helpful if I had a Ubix of some kind.
[01:11:30] And if we can't seem to find this data,
[01:11:34] it should be in there.
[01:11:36] If,
[01:11:36] if not,
[01:11:37] I just,
[01:11:38] if you can't find it,
[01:11:39] we would be happy to give you a reduced reward for information on the condition of the people inside,
[01:11:49] how many they are,
[01:11:51] uh,
[01:11:52] locations of the various,
[01:11:55] I guess,
[01:11:55] drums where they have this gunpowder stored.
[01:11:58] So we know how not to blow ourselves up again.
[01:12:01] Perhaps we could keep an eye out.
[01:12:04] Both of the prices,
[01:12:05] right?
[01:12:07] Sure.
[01:12:08] Uh,
[01:12:09] how about
[01:12:11] five bounty for the information,
[01:12:13] uh,
[01:12:14] about positioning?
[01:12:16] Ten bounty if you manage to,
[01:12:17] to bring us the information that we want.
[01:12:21] You know,
[01:12:22] the,
[01:12:22] the information on the attack.
[01:12:24] Plus one,
[01:12:25] did you keep the joke still quiet?
[01:12:26] I assume.
[01:12:28] We'll see.
[01:12:28] We'll see.
[01:12:29] I may take you up on that offer later.
[01:12:32] I like dad jokes.
[01:12:37] Oh no,
[01:12:38] he's a father.
[01:12:39] We're busted.
[01:12:41] All right then.
[01:12:43] See what we can find.
[01:12:45] Okay.
[01:12:46] We'll be out here watching.
[01:12:48] And he and his fellow soldier,
[01:12:50] uh,
[01:12:51] go back into the woods.
[01:12:54] So whenever we're like out of earshot of those soldiers,
[01:12:58] I'm going to,
[01:12:58] you know,
[01:12:59] pull someone aside.
[01:13:01] All of them.
[01:13:02] If,
[01:13:02] uh,
[01:13:03] if everyone's coming,
[01:13:04] I assume you guys are going back to the truck.
[01:13:07] On the walk back to the truck.
[01:13:09] I'm like,
[01:13:09] Hey,
[01:13:10] Benny,
[01:13:11] what's a,
[01:13:12] what Moss?
[01:13:12] So what's a Moss favorite car?
[01:13:15] Am I going to assume that's an icy stare?
[01:13:18] Did you just call me Benny?
[01:13:20] Yeah.
[01:13:21] We're friends,
[01:13:22] right?
[01:13:24] Another stony icy stare.
[01:13:26] Correct.
[01:13:27] What is a Moss favorite car,
[01:13:30] buddy?
[01:13:30] These do not encourage him.
[01:13:33] It's a Lamborghini.
[01:13:34] Oh Lord.
[01:13:37] So,
[01:13:37] so guys,
[01:13:38] what was,
[01:13:38] what was all that about?
[01:13:40] I want us to get information on a Moss attack upcoming.
[01:13:45] Like,
[01:13:46] like,
[01:13:46] like,
[01:13:46] like the insect.
[01:13:49] Incorrect.
[01:13:51] Oh,
[01:13:52] the other ones.
[01:13:53] Okay.
[01:13:53] Why?
[01:13:54] Like,
[01:13:55] it's not like they're,
[01:13:55] they're DHQS,
[01:13:57] right?
[01:13:58] Right.
[01:14:00] All joking aside,
[01:14:02] they are.
[01:14:04] I don't know if I want to be in with those kinds of people.
[01:14:08] I don't want to be in with those kinds of people,
[01:14:10] but I don't want those kinds of people destroying this black powder operation.
[01:14:14] If we need it in the future,
[01:14:16] it goes up in smoke because of those bastards.
[01:14:19] What are we going to do?
[01:14:20] What are we going to do then?
[01:14:21] Well,
[01:14:22] you did negotiate,
[01:14:23] uh,
[01:14:25] something for a little bit of info on the inside.
[01:14:27] We give them,
[01:14:29] you know,
[01:14:30] bad info and,
[01:14:31] and say,
[01:14:32] oh,
[01:14:32] people must've moved stuff around.
[01:14:33] I mean,
[01:14:34] we could do that,
[01:14:35] right?
[01:14:36] Or perhaps we find this data they need,
[01:14:39] and we bargain for the safety of the black powder.
[01:14:43] Well,
[01:14:43] I mean,
[01:14:44] we could just have the people inside,
[01:14:47] we tell them what's up,
[01:14:49] and they give us information that looks right.
[01:14:52] I mean,
[01:14:53] I'm much more likely to be friendly with the moths than I am with the DHQS.
[01:14:58] Political preferences come down to it,
[01:15:00] then I agree.
[01:15:03] Ultimately,
[01:15:03] for the safety of Hatch,
[01:15:04] we need black powder in the future,
[01:15:06] don't we?
[01:15:07] Every year,
[01:15:08] don't we?
[01:15:09] Yeah,
[01:15:10] around this time,
[01:15:11] yeah.
[01:15:12] Where are we going to go if this all gets blown to hell?
[01:15:16] Well,
[01:15:17] that's what I'm saying.
[01:15:18] I don't want to work for the cops.
[01:15:20] I had to appear in court one time.
[01:15:23] Okay.
[01:15:24] But aside of,
[01:15:25] of that,
[01:15:27] shake,
[01:15:29] get this moth in tilt.
[01:15:30] I don't want to shoot them.
[01:15:32] I'm still,
[01:15:33] it's the only reason they're here in the first place.
[01:15:37] Well,
[01:15:38] I guess we can go in and play it by ear.
[01:15:40] I mean,
[01:15:41] they're kind of waiting on us,
[01:15:42] and they kind of got a gun on us.
[01:15:45] There's several reasons to go inside,
[01:15:47] and none to stand about here.
[01:15:49] Yep.
[01:15:50] Let's go ahead,
[01:15:52] get to salt.
[01:15:54] Okay.
[01:15:56] You head back on the truck,
[01:15:58] and drive down into the facility's parking lot.
[01:16:01] There's,
[01:16:01] uh,
[01:16:02] the gates open
[01:16:02] from when
[01:16:03] you assume the DHQS
[01:16:05] tried to storm the building.
[01:16:07] And we trip the mines and die.
[01:16:09] And you trip the mines and die.
[01:16:11] Uh,
[01:16:11] St.
[01:16:11] Bernard,
[01:16:11] you get a call on your Yupixpex.
[01:16:14] Hello.
[01:16:16] Yeah,
[01:16:17] who's this approaching our building?
[01:16:19] So,
[01:16:20] what was the name of the,
[01:16:21] of the guy we were supposed to meet?
[01:16:23] Boomer.
[01:16:25] It must be Boomer,
[01:16:27] I suppose.
[01:16:28] Boomer.
[01:16:28] I suppose.
[01:16:28] Boomer.
[01:16:29] We were sent by Jacob Paxton.
[01:16:31] Should be expecting us.
[01:16:32] Yeah,
[01:16:33] the shipment.
[01:16:34] Um,
[01:16:36] you just drove on up here?
[01:16:40] Everything's fine?
[01:16:41] More or less.
[01:16:44] Oh,
[01:16:44] we've had a bit of,
[01:16:46] uh,
[01:16:46] structural collapse.
[01:16:47] Uh,
[01:16:48] come on in,
[01:16:48] come on in.
[01:16:49] Uh,
[01:16:49] That's so it seems.
[01:16:51] Everything's fine.
[01:16:52] Don't worry about it.
[01:16:53] Just come on in.
[01:16:55] I,
[01:16:56] I got your shipment right here for you.
[01:16:58] All right.
[01:17:00] Tell me,
[01:17:01] do you happen to know why there's a,
[01:17:04] herd of DHQS soldiers posted up,
[01:17:07] nearby?
[01:17:09] Uh,
[01:17:09] there,
[01:17:09] there,
[01:17:10] there are?
[01:17:11] He,
[01:17:11] he sounds very,
[01:17:14] he,
[01:17:14] he very poorly,
[01:17:16] poorly,
[01:17:17] acts like he doesn't know.
[01:17:19] Uh,
[01:17:20] thanks.
[01:17:21] I,
[01:17:21] I don't know.
[01:17:22] Um,
[01:17:24] uh,
[01:17:24] they might have a problem with,
[01:17:26] with me and my powder operation.
[01:17:28] Uh,
[01:17:29] I,
[01:17:30] even,
[01:17:30] even better for you to come in here quickly and,
[01:17:32] uh,
[01:17:32] take it and go.
[01:17:35] Do I even need to roll sensitivity or?
[01:17:37] No,
[01:17:37] no,
[01:17:38] you,
[01:17:38] you know,
[01:17:38] he's lying.
[01:17:41] All right,
[01:17:41] fine.
[01:17:42] I suppose we should come inside.
[01:17:44] Good,
[01:17:45] good.
[01:17:45] Uh,
[01:17:46] you could come in through the hole in the wall or,
[01:17:48] or the front door.
[01:17:49] I'll,
[01:17:49] I'll come over and unlock it.
[01:17:51] Uh,
[01:17:51] the hose time with me.
[01:17:53] Why don't you unlock the door?
[01:17:56] Sure thing.
[01:17:56] I'll,
[01:17:57] uh,
[01:17:57] be over there in a second.
[01:17:58] He hangs up.
[01:18:00] He's lying through his teeth,
[01:18:01] that's for sure.
[01:18:03] I'm so impressed.
[01:18:05] Well,
[01:18:05] if he's in with those moss,
[01:18:06] he's got something to hide,
[01:18:08] right?
[01:18:09] Suppose he does.
[01:18:11] So,
[01:18:12] are we,
[01:18:12] are we going to try and get that information?
[01:18:13] Or,
[01:18:15] you know,
[01:18:18] what's the plan here,
[01:18:19] guys?
[01:18:20] Well,
[01:18:20] like I said,
[01:18:21] you know,
[01:18:21] we,
[01:18:21] we don't want Boomer to go out of business and,
[01:18:23] uh,
[01:18:24] you know,
[01:18:24] he's a good business partner for us at the,
[01:18:26] at hatch.
[01:18:27] And we should probably just be straight with him and tell it.
[01:18:30] We already told him the DSQS is out here.
[01:18:32] You know,
[01:18:32] we can offer up that,
[01:18:34] uh,
[01:18:34] that fake,
[01:18:35] fake info deal.
[01:18:36] I'd like to know what the cards are before I have to play them on the
[01:18:38] table.
[01:18:39] That sounds good to me.
[01:18:40] I mean,
[01:18:41] if anything,
[01:18:42] I mean,
[01:18:43] he could try to shoot at us a few times.
[01:18:45] It's relieving and try not to hit us and make it look believable.
[01:18:49] Please don't say that.
[01:18:51] I mean,
[01:18:52] I've been shot at before.
[01:18:53] It was,
[01:18:54] yeah.
[01:18:54] Yeah.
[01:18:54] But have you been shot while you're carrying a ton of gunpowder?
[01:19:00] Like,
[01:19:00] they could blow up your car.
[01:19:04] Mirror,
[01:19:04] genuine draft.
[01:19:06] What?
[01:19:09] Uh,
[01:19:10] so it's easy.
[01:19:12] Uh,
[01:19:13] you see the door open slightly and,
[01:19:16] disheveled man,
[01:19:17] dirty,
[01:19:18] dirty beard and everything.
[01:19:19] Look out and sort of look around and then,
[01:19:21] uh,
[01:19:21] poke his head back in.
[01:19:23] I'll walk right in.
[01:19:24] I know this guy.
[01:19:25] Okay.
[01:19:26] Uh,
[01:19:26] you walk in.
[01:19:27] It's a large storage warehouse.
[01:19:28] It's big open spaces.
[01:19:30] You see a lot of tanks.
[01:19:32] Space throughout it.
[01:19:34] It,
[01:19:34] the building just reeks of manure and urine.
[01:19:39] From,
[01:19:40] you assume the manufacturing process that takes place here.
[01:19:45] Um,
[01:19:47] to the one side,
[01:19:48] it seems like there are two offices,
[01:19:50] but the curtains on the windows are closed.
[01:19:54] And,
[01:19:55] as well as the window on the door is covered up.
[01:19:59] Uh,
[01:19:59] boomers standing there just inside the door.
[01:20:02] Uh,
[01:20:02] welcome.
[01:20:03] Welcome guys.
[01:20:03] Um,
[01:20:05] you guys,
[01:20:05] uh,
[01:20:05] here for the,
[01:20:06] uh,
[01:20:07] guys here for the shipment.
[01:20:08] It's,
[01:20:09] uh,
[01:20:09] right over here.
[01:20:10] And he,
[01:20:11] he,
[01:20:11] he points towards the,
[01:20:14] the ones,
[01:20:15] the one wall where you see,
[01:20:16] um,
[01:20:18] 55 gallon drums.
[01:20:19] There's four of them.
[01:20:21] Hmm.
[01:20:23] It's good to see you again,
[01:20:24] boomer.
[01:20:26] Oh,
[01:20:27] Rose salt.
[01:20:27] Good to see you too.
[01:20:29] Oh,
[01:20:30] you didn't notice there was a entire squadron of THQS soldiers outside.
[01:20:35] What was news to you then?
[01:20:37] Um,
[01:20:38] maybe,
[01:20:38] maybe I,
[01:20:39] I knew about them.
[01:20:41] Um,
[01:20:41] I,
[01:20:41] I thought they,
[01:20:42] they left.
[01:20:43] I,
[01:20:43] I didn't know they were still there.
[01:20:45] Seems they are after something.
[01:20:47] I think you've got information.
[01:20:50] What information would I have?
[01:20:51] I,
[01:20:52] I just,
[01:20:52] you know,
[01:20:52] I,
[01:20:53] I sit here and make gunpowder and that's it.
[01:21:00] Nothing to hide here.
[01:21:01] See any gestures towards the big open warehouse.
[01:21:04] Can't even hide anything in here.
[01:21:06] Just all smelly manure.
[01:21:08] My friends are up to something and the THQS wants to stop it.
[01:21:12] All we really give a shit about is keeping you making this black powder.
[01:21:18] So,
[01:21:18] so you know how I feel about president Hunter,
[01:21:21] right?
[01:21:21] Boomer.
[01:21:23] I know how everyone feels about him.
[01:21:25] That's why he's no longer president.
[01:21:27] Oh,
[01:21:27] what's the difference between a president Hunter and a bucket of manure?
[01:21:32] Oh,
[01:21:32] I know this one.
[01:21:34] The bucket doesn't shovel itself.
[01:21:36] I don't know.
[01:21:38] The bucket.
[01:21:41] He gives like a nervous chuckle.
[01:21:45] The bucket did win the electoral college.
[01:21:49] So say,
[01:21:50] St. Bernard,
[01:21:51] did you pass on your persuasion check?
[01:21:54] Oh,
[01:21:55] I hear ties go to the market.
[01:21:57] So.
[01:21:59] Listen,
[01:22:00] I might have someone here.
[01:22:03] You could talk to.
[01:22:05] It's not my place to say anything.
[01:22:08] You,
[01:22:08] man,
[01:22:09] look,
[01:22:09] I've snuck stuff before out.
[01:22:13] My advice is.
[01:22:15] If you've got anyone in here that you want to put into one of those drums and we can load them and get them out of here,
[01:22:22] that may be a good idea.
[01:22:24] He perks up at that.
[01:22:26] Yeah,
[01:22:27] yeah,
[01:22:27] this way,
[01:22:27] this way.
[01:22:28] Yeah,
[01:22:28] yeah,
[01:22:28] yeah.
[01:22:29] Yeah.
[01:22:31] Just just like it.
[01:22:33] As I look at everybody else,
[01:22:35] making sure I didn't screw up.
[01:22:37] He goes over to the office doors,
[01:22:39] opens it,
[01:22:41] peeks inside,
[01:22:41] says something for a second.
[01:22:43] And then two men.
[01:22:44] I mean,
[01:22:45] a man and a woman come out along with Boomer.
[01:22:48] The man's injured,
[01:22:50] sort of bleeding from his leg.
[01:22:52] It's bandaged,
[01:22:53] but you can tell he got injured.
[01:22:55] The woman goes,
[01:22:56] I hear you could help us out.
[01:22:59] Good.
[01:23:00] What's the catch?
[01:23:02] No one does anything out here for,
[01:23:04] you know,
[01:23:05] the good of mankind or anything.
[01:23:09] That's untrue.
[01:23:11] I looked over at,
[01:23:13] uh,
[01:23:13] at Jake.
[01:23:16] Yes.
[01:23:16] What is the catch?
[01:23:18] Oh,
[01:23:18] I hadn't fought that far ahead.
[01:23:20] Um,
[01:23:21] really,
[01:23:22] but I mean,
[01:23:22] oh,
[01:23:23] well,
[01:23:23] I mean,
[01:23:23] didn't moth do this for the better?
[01:23:27] Your,
[01:23:27] your peeps?
[01:23:28] Like,
[01:23:28] look,
[01:23:29] I don't want to see anybody die.
[01:23:31] And these,
[01:23:31] these sons of bitches,
[01:23:34] just like,
[01:23:34] we were just here to get a gunpowder.
[01:23:36] And now all of a sudden we've been inscripted and stuff like that.
[01:23:40] Like,
[01:23:41] I'm just saying,
[01:23:42] I'm not happy.
[01:23:43] I'm trying to help.
[01:23:44] Maybe if everybody else,
[01:23:46] it kind of looks,
[01:23:46] now I'll start thinking about being a part of a group.
[01:23:49] If I've kind of overstepped my bounds a little bit.
[01:23:53] what do you,
[01:23:53] what do you think,
[01:23:54] man?
[01:23:55] We're going to take this place.
[01:23:58] It's just a matter of time.
[01:23:59] I mean,
[01:23:59] I would love to keep doing the gunpowder thing.
[01:24:02] It seems like a lucrative business,
[01:24:04] but.
[01:24:05] So you're gonna,
[01:24:06] you're going to smuggle us out of here.
[01:24:10] And what do you want in return?
[01:24:11] That's all I'm asking.
[01:24:13] Like I said,
[01:24:14] what's the catch?
[01:24:15] You just admitted that you got conscripted by the DHQS or,
[01:24:18] or whatever that means.
[01:24:19] Uh,
[01:24:20] but it sounds like you're not happy with it.
[01:24:21] What's in it.
[01:24:22] What,
[01:24:22] what's the catch?
[01:24:24] I just want to keep,
[01:24:25] uh,
[01:24:25] the business going with Boomer here.
[01:24:27] I mean,
[01:24:27] you know me,
[01:24:28] I work out of the salt mine and,
[01:24:30] and we need the gunpowder every year.
[01:24:31] It wouldn't be good if we,
[01:24:32] uh,
[01:24:33] didn't have our supplier anymore.
[01:24:34] And,
[01:24:34] you know,
[01:24:35] Boomer and I had known each other for years.
[01:24:37] Okay.
[01:24:38] We're only persuasion.
[01:24:39] I just don't want you guys to call and ask us to do anything like these assholes did.
[01:24:44] Uh,
[01:24:46] five over four.
[01:24:48] No,
[01:24:49] wait,
[01:24:49] sorry.
[01:24:49] That would be,
[01:24:50] would be a four,
[01:24:51] four,
[01:24:51] if it's five over four with the bonus.
[01:24:54] Wait,
[01:24:55] four,
[01:24:55] four would be a critical success,
[01:24:56] wouldn't it?
[01:24:57] Right.
[01:24:57] Yeah.
[01:24:57] I,
[01:24:58] I did the math in my head before I read that they were the same.
[01:25:01] All right.
[01:25:03] So you're willing to help us out.
[01:25:05] We'll take it.
[01:25:06] We got some extra drums here.
[01:25:08] We could,
[01:25:08] we could go into,
[01:25:09] uh,
[01:25:10] let us just load up some information we got to take with us and we'll be ready to go.
[01:25:16] And those DHQS guys said that you had,
[01:25:19] uh,
[01:25:19] some info that they wanted on like a laptop.
[01:25:23] Could we give them some information?
[01:25:24] Maybe not right information,
[01:25:25] but some information.
[01:25:27] Did they say what this information was?
[01:25:31] Um,
[01:25:33] what'd they say it was,
[01:25:34] uh,
[01:25:34] Benny?
[01:25:35] They said,
[01:25:36] I'm going to ignore that.
[01:25:37] They said it was part of an attack.
[01:25:40] And target some plan.
[01:25:43] Okay.
[01:25:43] An attack.
[01:25:44] I wouldn't necessarily call it an attack.
[01:25:47] I'd call it a,
[01:25:50] okay.
[01:25:50] Maybe it's an attack.
[01:25:51] Uh,
[01:25:52] yeah.
[01:25:52] Um,
[01:25:54] I'd prefer not to give them any information about it.
[01:25:58] Uh,
[01:25:59] you're,
[01:26:00] you're going to kind of leave us out to draft for covering for you.
[01:26:04] We're just trying to make it more believable so that,
[01:26:06] uh,
[01:26:06] so we have less problems getting out of here.
[01:26:08] If they think we're in with them,
[01:26:10] that they won't look in the barrels as much.
[01:26:12] True.
[01:26:13] True.
[01:26:15] Okay.
[01:26:16] If you give us a little time,
[01:26:17] we could,
[01:26:17] we could work up something.
[01:26:20] I look back at Balto.
[01:26:21] He's been very quiet.
[01:26:23] He is being very quiet.
[01:26:24] And cause he's very nervous about this whole situation.
[01:26:29] Uh,
[01:26:30] yeah.
[01:26:30] It's going to be all right,
[01:26:31] man.
[01:26:32] Yeah.
[01:26:32] Yeah.
[01:26:33] You know,
[01:26:34] when we get back,
[01:26:34] uh,
[01:26:35] I might need to get some of your,
[01:26:36] uh,
[01:26:36] some of your,
[01:26:37] some of your,
[01:26:37] like some of your weed.
[01:26:40] She's stressful.
[01:26:44] It'll help.
[01:26:45] With your.
[01:26:46] Yeah.
[01:26:47] Call coma.
[01:26:49] What?
[01:26:53] I even know what call coma is.
[01:26:56] Yeah.
[01:26:56] No,
[01:26:56] I can.
[01:26:57] Yeah.
[01:26:58] All right.
[01:27:00] The,
[01:27:01] uh,
[01:27:02] so the woman goes back into the office.
[01:27:04] You presume to,
[01:27:05] to make up the information,
[01:27:07] but the wounded guy is still there.
[01:27:09] Uh,
[01:27:09] he looks you over.
[01:27:11] Uh,
[01:27:13] you guys,
[01:27:13] a new take crew.
[01:27:15] Everyone looks at each other.
[01:27:17] Yeah.
[01:27:18] I thought I knew every take a crew in the area here,
[01:27:21] but,
[01:27:21] um,
[01:27:22] I don't,
[01:27:23] I don't recognize your faces.
[01:27:25] That's why you put the adjective new in front of it.
[01:27:29] I'm sorry.
[01:27:30] I was a liberal arts major.
[01:27:32] Um,
[01:27:33] we're the,
[01:27:35] and out of the ether of heaven,
[01:27:38] I think salty dogs.
[01:27:40] Now we have a title.
[01:27:42] Like we never officially referred to ourselves as that yet.
[01:27:44] Have we?
[01:27:45] I thought we did.
[01:27:46] We have numerous times.
[01:27:49] And that's the most in character thing you've done.
[01:27:56] Well,
[01:27:57] you're willing to help us out for,
[01:28:00] cause you know,
[01:28:01] our cause is good.
[01:28:03] And we've got this big,
[01:28:06] let's say preemptive strike going on.
[01:28:09] You guys aren't associated with anyone.
[01:28:11] You guys don't have ties to anyone.
[01:28:13] You're you've got a clean slate.
[01:28:15] How would you guys like to work with the mobs to help us push the DHQS out of this area,
[01:28:24] or at least knock them off balance?
[01:28:28] Look towards St. Bernard.
[01:28:29] Pay is good.
[01:28:30] We're willing to pay.
[01:28:32] We're willing to defend our own.
[01:28:35] We'll relocate you to,
[01:28:37] if you want,
[01:28:38] this is a big operation.
[01:28:40] We're willing to relocate you to,
[01:28:42] I'm sure we could move you West.
[01:28:46] If it's good enough,
[01:28:47] maybe you big city.
[01:28:49] If you want some,
[01:28:50] someplace there.
[01:28:52] What about our families?
[01:28:54] Them too.
[01:28:55] Them too.
[01:28:57] How do you deal?
[01:28:58] How,
[01:28:58] how,
[01:28:59] how you guys opinions on latent?
[01:29:02] Oh,
[01:29:03] one of our more important,
[01:29:04] uh,
[01:29:06] members,
[01:29:07] Banhammer.
[01:29:08] He's latent.
[01:29:09] I,
[01:29:10] he wouldn't consider himself a part of the moths,
[01:29:12] but we'd love latent.
[01:29:15] Obviously not to the point where we're going to be hugging you,
[01:29:18] but you get my drift.
[01:29:20] You're latent.
[01:29:22] No,
[01:29:22] no,
[01:29:25] but my brother is.
[01:29:28] Oh,
[01:29:29] I mean,
[01:29:34] at a character,
[01:29:35] I pulled up his sheet.
[01:29:35] I'm like,
[01:29:36] wait,
[01:29:36] I don't remember that.
[01:29:38] Adam is more in character than we believe.
[01:29:42] Yeah.
[01:29:42] Yeah.
[01:29:42] He's a method actor.
[01:29:43] Apparently.
[01:29:45] I do all my own stunts.
[01:29:48] I'm just drinking Shoffley's pumpkin now.
[01:29:51] Uh,
[01:29:51] now you guys,
[01:29:54] it's a big,
[01:29:55] it's a big ask.
[01:29:56] I'm asking of you.
[01:29:56] You're going to be the local group.
[01:29:59] You're going to be on the front lines,
[01:30:01] helping out here.
[01:30:02] We've got a lot to set up for this attack,
[01:30:05] but like I said,
[01:30:07] we're willing to pay.
[01:30:08] We're willing to help you out in the long run.
[01:30:10] Keep you safe.
[01:30:11] And I know it's a big ask.
[01:30:13] So just think about it and get back to me when this is all over.
[01:30:18] How does that sound?
[01:30:20] Everybody looks at.
[01:30:21] Yeah.
[01:30:22] We're all looking to see Bernard.
[01:30:24] You will discuss and let you know.
[01:30:28] Okay.
[01:30:29] Do you have a Yubik number for us?
[01:30:31] He asks you for your Yubik spec so you can program it in.
[01:30:34] Hand him over.
[01:30:36] Okay.
[01:30:37] He puts his number in,
[01:30:39] uh,
[01:30:39] just leaves it.
[01:30:40] He,
[01:30:41] he,
[01:30:41] he just marks it as the number one.
[01:30:43] Um,
[01:30:44] he just leaves his number one there.
[01:30:45] He doesn't put his name in there.
[01:30:47] Um,
[01:30:48] and as he hands it back to you,
[01:30:49] the woman comes out with a pair of Yubik specs.
[01:30:54] Um,
[01:30:55] she goes,
[01:30:55] it's probably not what they're looking for,
[01:30:57] but it'll,
[01:30:58] you'll keep them satisfied.
[01:30:59] Uh,
[01:31:00] you know,
[01:31:00] can't give them too much details,
[01:31:03] but this should provide them with a couple of loose ends to pursue or new avenues of research to pursue.
[01:31:12] It'll keep them interested,
[01:31:13] keep them happy.
[01:31:14] Hey,
[01:31:15] can I,
[01:31:16] can I see who had the specs with the phone number in it?
[01:31:20] That's me,
[01:31:21] Rotel.
[01:31:22] Hey,
[01:31:24] I,
[01:31:25] if I,
[01:31:26] if they,
[01:31:26] if they interview us,
[01:31:27] they're going to take those.
[01:31:28] So,
[01:31:29] why don't we,
[01:31:31] uh,
[01:31:31] why don't you let me,
[01:31:32] I'll,
[01:31:33] I'll put a code in it.
[01:31:34] It's like cryptography,
[01:31:36] which is,
[01:31:37] I used to think about Bigfoot,
[01:31:39] but it,
[01:31:39] it's not,
[01:31:40] it's about codes and stuff.
[01:31:41] So,
[01:31:42] out of character,
[01:31:43] what I'm wanting to do is I'm wanting to take the number and scramble it to where if it was pulled off,
[01:31:49] like,
[01:31:50] I know the,
[01:31:50] like,
[01:31:51] I know the,
[01:31:51] the algorithm to change it,
[01:31:53] you know,
[01:31:54] to,
[01:31:54] to cypher it back,
[01:31:55] but I want to put the,
[01:31:56] I want to put the number of the moths gave us through a,
[01:31:58] a cypher.
[01:31:59] Okay.
[01:31:59] Uh,
[01:32:00] roll criminality.
[01:32:01] Okay.
[01:32:02] That's a plus two.
[01:32:04] And thank God that's a,
[01:32:05] seven over six.
[01:32:07] So I did succeed.
[01:32:08] Okay.
[01:32:09] You managed to scramble the number on his Ubix specs.
[01:32:12] Yeah.
[01:32:13] And I'll label it instead of just being blank and super suspicious.
[01:32:17] So I'll label it mom.
[01:32:19] Okay.
[01:32:21] So you guys,
[01:32:22] unless you guys want to do anything else here,
[01:32:25] I'll say that you load the drums onto the vehicle as well as the two people in the drums onto the vehicle.
[01:32:34] Do we really need to have them in the drums while we were carrying them in?
[01:32:38] God,
[01:32:38] these things are so heavy.
[01:32:41] I can only lift bro.
[01:32:43] I got two strength.
[01:32:45] Let's make sure we put those,
[01:32:47] uh,
[01:32:47] the barrels for the people in them in the hardest spot to,
[01:32:49] to get at.
[01:32:50] So they'd have to look through four barrels before they even get to these two,
[01:32:54] just in case.
[01:32:55] That sounds like a good idea.
[01:32:56] Uh,
[01:32:57] I can roll criminality to make it extra hard to get to in,
[01:33:00] in the organization.
[01:33:01] If that helps.
[01:33:02] No,
[01:33:03] no,
[01:33:03] that's fine.
[01:33:03] I won't make you roll for that.
[01:33:05] Right.
[01:33:05] It's a square van.
[01:33:06] It's not gonna,
[01:33:08] yeah,
[01:33:08] it's not gonna take too much for nicoling.
[01:33:11] So if you guys are good to drive out,
[01:33:15] boomer waves you off,
[01:33:16] waves you goodbye.
[01:33:18] So just before we get out there,
[01:33:20] the story is the two people they had in here died in the explosion,
[01:33:24] but we were able to get the data.
[01:33:27] Does that sound good?
[01:33:28] You guys do the talking.
[01:33:30] I'll do the driving.
[01:33:31] Speaking of,
[01:33:32] speaking of driving,
[01:33:33] drive fast.
[01:33:35] make it look like we're in a hurry.
[01:33:38] Like we're trying to get out of there.
[01:33:39] Make it look like we're not professionals.
[01:33:41] I mean,
[01:33:41] we're not,
[01:33:42] but like,
[01:33:42] let's make that obvious.
[01:33:45] Wait,
[01:33:46] so you want me to drive fast?
[01:33:49] Like we,
[01:33:49] we got the specs that we're going to turn over to them with the,
[01:33:54] with the,
[01:33:55] with the info.
[01:33:56] Like we just stole something.
[01:33:58] This is like a smash and grab kind of thing.
[01:34:01] In fact,
[01:34:02] like if we can retcon that,
[01:34:04] I would like to even say that as the last ones loaded up in the van,
[01:34:10] started up and run and running,
[01:34:12] then,
[01:34:14] then I'm going to have a shake,
[01:34:16] just dart,
[01:34:18] like burst through the hole in the wall.
[01:34:20] Not like the Kool-Aid man,
[01:34:21] cause the hole's already there,
[01:34:22] but like,
[01:34:23] like book through it with the Ubix specs in his hand and just kind of,
[01:34:28] you know,
[01:34:29] jump in the back of the van and write off.
[01:34:32] So like putting on a show.
[01:34:33] So would that be like a criminality or anything like that?
[01:34:37] Or am I going,
[01:34:38] I'd say that would be like a deception.
[01:34:41] Do you want me to roll drive to give him a bonus?
[01:34:44] No.
[01:34:46] All right.
[01:34:46] So are you guys cool if I had planned before I do it to make it look like I've just stolen the,
[01:34:51] the Ubix specs and just darted out?
[01:34:55] Sure.
[01:34:57] What's the,
[01:34:58] everybody else?
[01:35:00] I'm fine for the,
[01:35:01] the,
[01:35:02] the theater of it.
[01:35:04] Yeah.
[01:35:04] Okay.
[01:35:05] But while,
[01:35:06] uh,
[01:35:07] shake is running out.
[01:35:08] I'm just going to turn to,
[01:35:10] to Balto and say,
[01:35:11] that boy ain't right.
[01:35:13] No,
[01:35:14] no,
[01:35:14] he is not.
[01:35:15] I think he's a little too much on the,
[01:35:17] on the,
[01:35:18] uh,
[01:35:19] on the gunge.
[01:35:20] Okay.
[01:35:21] So you have everything loaded up in the van.
[01:35:24] You're ready to go.
[01:35:25] The back doors are open.
[01:35:26] And then shake sprints out of the,
[01:35:30] the hole pretending to just be at a full dead sprint,
[01:35:33] dodging side to side,
[01:35:34] looking over his shoulder with a worried face,
[01:35:38] dives into the back of the van while yelling,
[01:35:40] go,
[01:35:41] go,
[01:35:41] go,
[01:35:41] go.
[01:35:42] How good is this performance shake?
[01:35:44] It is a eight over five.
[01:35:47] Like,
[01:35:47] I mean,
[01:35:48] I really would like to think the Academy.
[01:35:50] And then Balto hits the gas and peels forward.
[01:35:53] The back door swinging shut as he takes off down the road.
[01:35:57] I'll spend that charge.
[01:36:01] Well,
[01:36:02] well,
[01:36:02] shake,
[01:36:02] you know what?
[01:36:02] Duck smoke.
[01:36:04] Quack.
[01:36:09] I knew that one.
[01:36:10] God,
[01:36:10] God says from above.
[01:36:13] Sorry to ruin that for you.
[01:36:16] No,
[01:36:16] that's fine.
[01:36:17] I,
[01:36:17] I like this guy.
[01:36:19] I like this guy.
[01:36:21] The band is eerily silent.
[01:36:24] Yeah.
[01:36:24] Close the back door.
[01:36:26] God damn it.
[01:36:27] You've,
[01:36:27] you've ruined it.
[01:36:28] It was a cool moment and you've ruined it.
[01:36:32] So you head down the road,
[01:36:33] just,
[01:36:34] just out of view of the,
[01:36:35] the place you'd stop.
[01:36:37] And,
[01:36:37] uh,
[01:36:37] as you see the two people come back out of the,
[01:36:40] out of the woods again and approach the vehicle.
[01:36:43] Yeah.
[01:36:43] I need somebody for better deception to do the talking to me.
[01:36:47] It's not me.
[01:36:48] Everyone stares at St.
[01:36:50] Bernard.
[01:36:51] Weird.
[01:36:52] It's like,
[01:36:52] I have a bunch of charisma or something.
[01:36:54] They come up to the driver's side window and,
[01:36:56] and,
[01:36:56] and knock on the glass.
[01:36:57] If you don't already,
[01:36:59] I,
[01:37:00] I,
[01:37:00] I,
[01:37:01] just,
[01:37:02] uh,
[01:37:02] was it wheel it down?
[01:37:03] Use that like a manual crank to wheel it down.
[01:37:06] Yeah.
[01:37:08] It's really slow and awkward.
[01:37:10] You've installed it in year three of the crash.
[01:37:13] It was just easier.
[01:37:14] Yeah.
[01:37:15] You,
[01:37:16] uh,
[01:37:16] got the information.
[01:37:18] You,
[01:37:19] uh,
[01:37:19] peeled out of there pretty quickly.
[01:37:21] Yeah.
[01:37:21] Yeah.
[01:37:21] We're giving them,
[01:37:22] we're giving them false information,
[01:37:23] right?
[01:37:24] That's,
[01:37:24] that's where we landed on this.
[01:37:27] We've got information.
[01:37:29] All right.
[01:37:30] Where,
[01:37:30] uh,
[01:37:30] where is it?
[01:37:31] Oh,
[01:37:32] good in character question that I don't know out of character.
[01:37:36] It was in a,
[01:37:37] on a pair of Ubics,
[01:37:38] wasn't it?
[01:37:38] Yeah.
[01:37:38] You just see a Ubic,
[01:37:40] like a hand shoot up in the back seat.
[01:37:42] Actually,
[01:37:43] that man probably started trying his gun on me when I do it.
[01:37:46] I do it so quick.
[01:37:47] Yeah.
[01:37:49] Okay.
[01:37:49] Just hand it over.
[01:37:51] Uh,
[01:37:51] how,
[01:37:51] how were they doing in there?
[01:37:53] Out of character.
[01:37:54] Our plan was two of them died in the,
[01:37:56] the two that were in there died in the explosion.
[01:37:58] So they're not there anymore.
[01:37:59] And here's the info we stole just as a reminder.
[01:38:02] Yeah.
[01:38:03] Go with that.
[01:38:03] Like there are two dead.
[01:38:07] So they've been better.
[01:38:08] We'll find the information.
[01:38:10] And you big specs go.
[01:38:13] Okay.
[01:38:14] Roll persuasion.
[01:38:15] I mean,
[01:38:15] deception,
[01:38:15] deception.
[01:38:17] You're lying.
[01:38:17] It's a deception.
[01:38:19] Was that perception?
[01:38:20] You said that?
[01:38:21] Deception.
[01:38:24] That would be an over four.
[01:38:27] Okay.
[01:38:28] It goes.
[01:38:29] Okay.
[01:38:30] All right.
[01:38:30] He has the Ubics backs over to the soldier next to him.
[01:38:33] And,
[01:38:34] uh,
[01:38:34] you see him sort of relax a little.
[01:38:36] Thanks.
[01:38:37] This is gonna save a lot of lives and help the reclamation effort.
[01:38:42] Sorry for being so harsh with you guys,
[01:38:44] but we didn't know if you were moth sympathizers or,
[01:38:48] or anything.
[01:38:50] Did a,
[01:38:51] did a great job here.
[01:38:53] About the reward.
[01:38:54] Uh,
[01:38:55] yes,
[01:38:55] yes,
[01:38:55] yes.
[01:38:56] I,
[01:38:56] I,
[01:38:56] I have it right here.
[01:38:57] He goes into his pocket and takes out the 10 bounty.
[01:39:00] Here's your 10 bounty.
[01:39:03] I look over the seat because he didn't give me an extra.
[01:39:07] I look at road salt and I'm like,
[01:39:09] anything to say?
[01:39:11] Uh,
[01:39:11] yeah.
[01:39:12] Um,
[01:39:14] what do,
[01:39:14] uh,
[01:39:15] fish smoke to get high?
[01:39:17] The,
[01:39:17] the,
[01:39:18] the soldier nudges Poseidon and Poseidon's like,
[01:39:21] Poseidon's like,
[01:39:22] takes out another bounty and hands it to you.
[01:39:24] He's like,
[01:39:26] don't worry.
[01:39:26] I didn't forget.
[01:39:28] I look back at road salt.
[01:39:30] Oh,
[01:39:30] so long.
[01:39:32] Would you get,
[01:39:33] I,
[01:39:33] I have to,
[01:39:34] to ask,
[01:39:35] would you guys be willing to help us out in the future?
[01:39:39] People,
[01:39:39] uh,
[01:39:40] this attack,
[01:39:41] it's,
[01:39:41] it's more coordinated than just two people.
[01:39:44] You know,
[01:39:44] the moths are gonna,
[01:39:46] they either are going to build or have a network here to stage this.
[01:39:52] And when people see the DHQS,
[01:39:55] they clam up,
[01:39:56] they go hiding.
[01:39:57] They're confrontational.
[01:39:59] We could really use some new faces around to be our eyes and ears and help us out to make sure this attack doesn't go off.
[01:40:11] And I'm thinking you guys could be the guys for the job.
[01:40:15] Would you guys be interested?
[01:40:17] Like in character,
[01:40:18] but not saying out loud right now,
[01:40:20] like this isn't really an offer to offer.
[01:40:23] This is,
[01:40:24] this is not something we can walk away from is what I'm asking.
[01:40:26] It's like,
[01:40:27] I kind of feel that.
[01:40:29] No,
[01:40:29] no,
[01:40:29] he's,
[01:40:30] he's,
[01:40:31] you can walk away from it if you want.
[01:40:34] He's,
[01:40:34] he's not impressing it upon you.
[01:40:36] And if,
[01:40:36] and if,
[01:40:36] if,
[01:40:37] do you want to ask that to him?
[01:40:38] Yeah.
[01:40:39] Yeah.
[01:40:39] Yeah.
[01:40:39] I,
[01:40:40] I look back in the day that the police caught me,
[01:40:45] but they said,
[01:40:46] if I told them about,
[01:40:47] uh,
[01:40:48] about,
[01:40:49] uh,
[01:40:50] Billy Bong Thornton,
[01:40:51] that,
[01:40:51] uh,
[01:40:52] that they would let me go.
[01:40:53] Is this like one of those things or is this like,
[01:40:56] no,
[01:40:57] you guys can go home right now.
[01:40:58] Obviously we're not telling you any information other than that.
[01:41:02] There's a planned attack.
[01:41:03] I mean,
[01:41:04] people figure that out eventually,
[01:41:07] whether it's from the increased operations or the,
[01:41:12] the actual attack going off.
[01:41:14] Um,
[01:41:15] if you want to walk away,
[01:41:16] that's fine.
[01:41:17] I don't blame you.
[01:41:18] it's best not to be muddled up in the affairs of other groups,
[01:41:22] but we're the DHQS.
[01:41:24] We have the final say on a lot of things.
[01:41:26] We could help you out.
[01:41:28] We'll give you a salary and we could say that we found you guys alive out here.
[01:41:37] You and your families.
[01:41:39] And we recovered you and we could make you actual living humans again and bring you over to the recession.
[01:41:48] If that's what you want.
[01:41:50] So what Adam's asking really is,
[01:41:52] are we being detained?
[01:41:54] No,
[01:41:55] no,
[01:41:55] no,
[01:41:55] you're not being detained.
[01:41:58] Yeah.
[01:41:59] It's a job offer.
[01:42:00] It's a job offer guys.
[01:42:02] If you don't want to take it,
[01:42:04] you could walk away.
[01:42:06] It just know that if you do anything for the moths,
[01:42:09] we're going to be watching.
[01:42:11] That's the only thing.
[01:42:13] Just look at St.
[01:42:14] Bernard.
[01:42:15] Yeah.
[01:42:15] Take a crew.
[01:42:16] You do tend to work on a job by job basis.
[01:42:19] So consider this a job complete.
[01:42:23] Okay.
[01:42:24] You could contact me here.
[01:42:26] If you want me to take up,
[01:42:27] if you want to take me up on the offer,
[01:42:29] I'll let you guys think about it.
[01:42:32] Good luck.
[01:42:34] But not a lot of taker crews last out here.
[01:42:36] I hope you guys make it.
[01:42:38] Absolute.
[01:42:40] Awkwardly.
[01:42:42] Start rolling up the window.
[01:42:43] I lock eyes with them,
[01:42:45] but it takes a while.
[01:42:47] So it's like.
[01:42:49] Really awkward.
[01:42:51] Long,
[01:42:51] awkward pause.
[01:42:53] Okay.
[01:42:54] Yep.
[01:42:55] And they,
[01:42:55] they step away from the vehicle and watch you drive off.
[01:43:00] I drive casually for like the first,
[01:43:03] like 50 yards.
[01:43:03] And then it just like,
[01:43:04] whole ass.
[01:43:06] As soon as that window closes,
[01:43:08] you can see that road salt's been holding his breath this whole time.
[01:43:12] He goes,
[01:43:14] seaweed,
[01:43:15] fish smoke,
[01:43:15] seaweed to get high.
[01:43:18] Oh,
[01:43:22] I think you hear groans coming from two of the barrels.
[01:43:26] I probably kind of threw my elbow back when I laughed and hit it.
[01:43:31] I think even like,
[01:43:33] uh,
[01:43:33] even,
[01:43:34] um,
[01:43:35] Balto is just like nervously laughing at that.
[01:43:38] All right.
[01:43:39] Now,
[01:43:39] now,
[01:43:40] now you drive normal.
[01:43:42] Yeah.
[01:43:43] Just drive normal.
[01:43:44] Oh,
[01:43:45] fuck.
[01:43:46] I hate those guys.
[01:43:48] Mark off a charge for another leg.
[01:43:50] The final leg.
[01:43:54] No,
[01:43:54] I said it was a manual crank.
[01:43:55] It's the reason why he converted it over to manual crank.
[01:43:57] So it wasn't as big of a toll on the battery out here.
[01:44:01] Yeah,
[01:44:01] that's why.
[01:44:03] Not for a unique effect.
[01:44:05] Oh God.
[01:44:07] All right.
[01:44:07] So it's for driving.
[01:44:08] Well,
[01:44:08] I think we need to do a vignette,
[01:44:09] even though we don't really do.
[01:44:11] You can spend an extra charge to skip it.
[01:44:13] You can do a vignette if you want,
[01:44:14] or you can do an actual leg.
[01:44:16] If you think you need more money.
[01:44:17] Currently you have 52 bounty that you guys are making.
[01:44:22] I think.
[01:44:23] Y'all going to go for vignette?
[01:44:25] That is 13 bounty each.
[01:44:27] I warn you,
[01:44:28] if we vignette,
[01:44:29] I'm going to be telling jokes.
[01:44:30] That's fine.
[01:44:32] Yeah.
[01:44:32] Wait,
[01:44:32] 15 bounty each,
[01:44:33] you said?
[01:44:33] 13.
[01:44:34] One three.
[01:44:35] Like,
[01:44:36] if we don't vignette,
[01:44:38] you won't be telling jokes.
[01:44:40] Well,
[01:44:41] it'll be shorter.
[01:44:43] So let's get some money,
[01:44:45] guys.
[01:44:47] It's like,
[01:44:48] as for,
[01:44:49] I guess,
[01:44:49] is it vignette or like what we're doing?
[01:44:51] Yeah.
[01:44:52] We can,
[01:44:52] if you want to do a vignette,
[01:44:53] we can do a vignette.
[01:44:54] It's just that he's crazy.
[01:44:55] I'm losing one.
[01:44:56] I'm going to lose some money on this.
[01:45:01] Oh,
[01:45:01] you're going to lose money with 50 bounty.
[01:45:03] No.
[01:45:04] Yeah.
[01:45:04] Yeah.
[01:45:05] 52 bounty divided by four is 13 each.
[01:45:08] He breaks even on 14.
[01:45:10] Yeah.
[01:45:12] We'll do a job.
[01:45:13] We'll do a job.
[01:45:14] Thanks guys.
[01:45:16] So I will say that you let the mobs off at some point.
[01:45:19] So you don't have to worry about them.
[01:45:20] They thank you.
[01:45:22] So did they offer us any bounty for,
[01:45:24] you know,
[01:45:25] doing them a solid?
[01:45:26] No,
[01:45:27] you said that you were doing them a solid for the good of your hearts.
[01:45:30] They kept asking you,
[01:45:31] what's the catch?
[01:45:31] What do you want?
[01:45:32] And you're like,
[01:45:32] no,
[01:45:33] it's fine.
[01:45:33] We want boomer to be in business.
[01:45:36] Well,
[01:45:36] I guess we just got a side job for the future.
[01:45:38] Okay.
[01:45:39] Hang on.
[01:45:39] Can I get us?
[01:45:40] Can I get a will for that then?
[01:45:42] Yeah.
[01:45:42] Yeah,
[01:45:43] that's fine.
[01:45:43] So my spot is fucking like helping those in need.
[01:45:46] God damn it.
[01:45:47] Yeah,
[01:45:47] that's fine.
[01:45:48] Okay.
[01:45:49] You lost out on money that you needed.
[01:45:51] Like,
[01:45:52] do I get any will for not paying attention in my head in the clouds?
[01:45:55] Sweet spot.
[01:45:56] No,
[01:45:57] no.
[01:45:58] Okay.
[01:45:59] So it's getting late.
[01:46:01] Sun's going down.
[01:46:03] It's getting dark.
[01:46:04] You're driving down the road and you notice one of the houses on the right has a porch light on.
[01:46:11] That's peculiar.
[01:46:13] So as I was getting ready to offer road salt,
[01:46:16] a joint,
[01:46:17] I see the light on and I noticed the,
[01:46:19] the,
[01:46:20] the van slowing down.
[01:46:22] And I just kind of just,
[01:46:25] you know,
[01:46:26] edit to him and to tell him,
[01:46:27] go tuck it behind your ear.
[01:46:28] It'll be okay.
[01:46:29] You'll like it.
[01:46:30] Man.
[01:46:31] No,
[01:46:31] no,
[01:46:32] I don't smoke.
[01:46:33] I'm afraid of heights.
[01:46:35] God.
[01:46:37] Uh,
[01:46:39] so all of you at this point,
[01:46:40] make a self control check.
[01:46:44] Does that mean I get a will?
[01:46:46] If they have to make a self control check.
[01:46:48] If everyone agrees,
[01:46:49] do you guys all want to make a self control check?
[01:46:51] I'll do it.
[01:46:51] I'll fucking do it.
[01:46:52] I will.
[01:46:54] Okay.
[01:46:54] Cause I've had enough of these shows.
[01:46:58] Ooh,
[01:47:00] nice.
[01:47:01] It's a three under eight.
[01:47:03] That is a 10 over five.
[01:47:05] If you fail,
[01:47:06] take one to stress.
[01:47:08] I like that.
[01:47:09] If you passed all is anything,
[01:47:11] you get a will there.
[01:47:13] Road salt.
[01:47:14] Because you have to work with this asshole.
[01:47:16] Yeah.
[01:47:18] So seeing the,
[01:47:19] seeing the light on at that house and hearing that joke,
[01:47:24] it leaned forward,
[01:47:25] like pull the car over.
[01:47:27] Uh,
[01:47:28] gladly.
[01:47:31] Yeah.
[01:47:31] I go.
[01:47:32] It hasn't,
[01:47:32] it hasn't even stopped yet.
[01:47:34] And I'm like,
[01:47:35] getting out.
[01:47:36] Like,
[01:47:37] are you parking in front of the house or a little bit down the street?
[01:47:41] Uh,
[01:47:41] we'll park,
[01:47:41] I'll park in front of those.
[01:47:42] Okay.
[01:47:44] So shake.
[01:47:45] Um,
[01:47:45] do you think Benny doesn't like me?
[01:47:47] Uh,
[01:47:48] I don't really know Benny.
[01:47:50] I got,
[01:47:50] I,
[01:47:52] you know,
[01:47:52] a heavy,
[01:47:53] it's a head,
[01:47:53] the head that wears the crown,
[01:47:54] you know,
[01:47:55] maybe he's just feeling like really stressed out because we,
[01:47:58] we're being pulled between two entities that's larger than ourselves.
[01:48:03] And all I want to do is go home and buy some extra bulbs and grow more plants.
[01:48:08] Maybe,
[01:48:09] maybe it's that.
[01:48:10] I wouldn't,
[01:48:11] I wouldn't look too deep into it.
[01:48:13] I mean,
[01:48:13] he seems like a solid dude.
[01:48:16] Uh,
[01:48:16] come on,
[01:48:16] let's go.
[01:48:17] We,
[01:48:17] we got to keep them out of trouble.
[01:48:19] So,
[01:48:20] so I'm,
[01:48:23] it's the same thing.
[01:48:24] A small porch,
[01:48:24] wooden,
[01:48:25] wooden porch with a porch light.
[01:48:27] There's a door.
[01:48:28] Uh,
[01:48:28] the screen to the door has fallen off.
[01:48:30] You see it in the lawn.
[01:48:33] It's just a wooden door or not wooden door.
[01:48:36] It's just a door in front of you on the porch,
[01:48:38] porch light on.
[01:48:40] So St.
[01:48:40] Bernard,
[01:48:41] what do you think the chances are that there's some,
[01:48:42] some casualties in there or booby traps?
[01:48:47] Trames that the light was on.
[01:48:49] Sure.
[01:48:50] Casualties know how to work.
[01:48:51] Light switches,
[01:48:52] breaker boxes.
[01:48:54] Let's try knocking first.
[01:48:57] Uh,
[01:48:57] before you do that,
[01:48:59] let's,
[01:48:59] uh,
[01:49:00] let me check,
[01:49:01] uh,
[01:49:02] you pick,
[01:49:02] see if there's any signals coming around here.
[01:49:04] So I'll burn another charge.
[01:49:07] I really got to get me one of those.
[01:49:09] I mean,
[01:49:09] they're really nice,
[01:49:10] man.
[01:49:11] I mean,
[01:49:11] I got,
[01:49:12] I got HBO max on this.
[01:49:14] It's really nice.
[01:49:15] There appears to be no UBIC signals besides your two,
[01:49:19] uh,
[01:49:20] fellow tickers.
[01:49:22] Do I hear a generator running?
[01:49:24] How's that light on?
[01:49:27] Is it like a solar lamp?
[01:49:28] Like,
[01:49:28] is it like,
[01:49:29] is it just,
[01:49:30] it's just the light.
[01:49:31] It's just like,
[01:49:32] uh,
[01:49:33] metal,
[01:49:34] you know,
[01:49:34] just the lamp that comes out of the brick wall,
[01:49:37] hangs down,
[01:49:38] light bulb,
[01:49:39] the glass around it.
[01:49:41] Gotcha.
[01:49:42] Uh,
[01:49:42] well,
[01:49:42] you want to knock.
[01:49:44] Yes.
[01:49:45] I'm going to hide in the shadows,
[01:49:50] leap off the porch into the bush.
[01:49:56] So are you actually like trying to hide?
[01:49:58] You just want to stand to the side?
[01:50:00] No,
[01:50:01] I'd rather hide.
[01:50:02] I'm standing to the side,
[01:50:03] but if you're hiding right,
[01:50:05] we're all stealth.
[01:50:06] There you are.
[01:50:07] Ties go to market.
[01:50:09] He's in the bush.
[01:50:09] Yep.
[01:50:11] He's caught on the top of it.
[01:50:13] It was thicker than he thought it was.
[01:50:16] Balto is up there on the porch.
[01:50:19] St.
[01:50:19] Bernard,
[01:50:19] are you there on the porch opening the door or knocking?
[01:50:23] Uh,
[01:50:23] yes.
[01:50:23] Knocking.
[01:50:24] Okay.
[01:50:25] road salt.
[01:50:26] Where did you want to be?
[01:50:27] Uh,
[01:50:28] standing just off the porch,
[01:50:29] uh,
[01:50:30] watching what's going on with my gun already drawn.
[01:50:34] Um,
[01:50:34] you knock.
[01:50:35] There is no answer.
[01:50:37] There is no banging.
[01:50:38] There's no clacking of teeth.
[01:50:40] There's no just a minute.
[01:50:41] There's no,
[01:50:42] no noise or anything.
[01:50:44] I turn the handle.
[01:50:45] It's unlocked.
[01:50:47] It's swing.
[01:50:48] The door swings inward.
[01:50:49] Normally.
[01:50:49] I'm not saying that you push it inward.
[01:50:51] I'm just saying it is designed to swing inward.
[01:50:54] I like swing the door inward,
[01:50:56] but don't step forward.
[01:50:57] Okay.
[01:50:59] Uh,
[01:51:00] give me an awareness check.
[01:51:01] I'll see it.
[01:51:04] six under seven.
[01:51:06] Okay.
[01:51:08] Uh,
[01:51:08] hold on.
[01:51:09] I have a will point left and I will use it.
[01:51:12] Okay.
[01:51:13] Um,
[01:51:14] as it swings inward,
[01:51:16] uh,
[01:51:16] you hear a faint click.
[01:51:19] Oh shit.
[01:51:20] I would like to,
[01:51:22] uh,
[01:51:23] dive out of the way.
[01:51:24] Roll athletics.
[01:51:28] Oh,
[01:51:29] uh,
[01:51:30] seven under eight.
[01:51:32] Nice.
[01:51:32] You're not with me.
[01:51:33] This whole leg.
[01:51:35] Okay.
[01:51:37] Okay.
[01:51:38] A shotgun blast goes off.
[01:51:39] As you try to dive out of the way,
[01:51:43] you catch four points of killing to your chest.
[01:51:49] Ooh,
[01:51:50] holy shit.
[01:51:51] But booze traps.
[01:51:53] Not what you want.
[01:51:55] Okay.
[01:51:57] Draw my gun.
[01:51:58] Yeah.
[01:51:59] Time to everybody to go over your speed,
[01:52:01] I guess.
[01:52:01] Well,
[01:52:02] no,
[01:52:02] we're not actually in combat.
[01:52:03] Nevermind.
[01:52:04] I will go down in order for alphabetical.
[01:52:07] Um,
[01:52:08] shaker,
[01:52:08] what do you want to do?
[01:52:09] What's your reaction to this shotgun blast going off?
[01:52:11] I'm going to go ahead and try to crawl around to the back of the house.
[01:52:15] As fast as I can.
[01:52:16] Man,
[01:52:16] you're going to start moving.
[01:52:18] Um,
[01:52:19] what does road salt want to do?
[01:52:21] Uh,
[01:52:22] look around to see if I can hear anything that might be being drawn by the noise.
[01:52:27] Sure.
[01:52:28] Give me awareness check.
[01:52:29] Uh,
[01:52:30] no,
[01:52:31] uh,
[01:52:31] five under eight.
[01:52:33] You do not see any casualties.
[01:52:36] Balto,
[01:52:36] what do you want to do?
[01:52:37] Uh,
[01:52:37] so as I shirk away from the,
[01:52:39] uh,
[01:52:39] from the,
[01:52:39] from the side of the door,
[01:52:41] uh,
[01:52:41] is it,
[01:52:41] is there one of those like big windows,
[01:52:43] like in,
[01:52:43] like next to the door,
[01:52:44] like on,
[01:52:44] like in the porch or is it,
[01:52:46] uh,
[01:52:46] there is one on the side of the house.
[01:52:49] You have to like get off the porch to,
[01:52:50] to look in through.
[01:52:51] Okay.
[01:52:51] So there's no window.
[01:52:52] Okay.
[01:52:52] Gotcha.
[01:52:53] Yeah.
[01:52:53] Then I'll go over there.
[01:52:54] Uh,
[01:52:54] I'll go,
[01:52:54] I'll follow kind of follow,
[01:52:56] um,
[01:52:57] uh,
[01:52:58] where shaker was heading and,
[01:52:59] and then like,
[01:53:00] I'll peek through the,
[01:53:01] see if I can peek through the window on the side.
[01:53:03] Okay.
[01:53:04] Or actually,
[01:53:04] no,
[01:53:04] sorry,
[01:53:04] you know,
[01:53:04] I won't do that.
[01:53:05] I'll go,
[01:53:06] I'll,
[01:53:06] I'll look at my friend.
[01:53:07] I'm,
[01:53:08] I'll go into paramedic mode and check on my friend.
[01:53:12] That would be a good.
[01:53:14] Yeah.
[01:53:14] Sorry.
[01:53:15] Forgot from what my character's strength was for a second.
[01:53:18] Leading a lot from the ribs.
[01:53:20] Yeah.
[01:53:21] Uh,
[01:53:22] yeah,
[01:53:22] I'll pull,
[01:53:23] I'll pull you off away from the,
[01:53:24] the,
[01:53:25] the like view of the,
[01:53:25] of the shock of,
[01:53:26] of the,
[01:53:27] okay door and,
[01:53:28] and start addressing your wound.
[01:53:31] Okay.
[01:53:31] So you can give me a first aid check.
[01:53:33] Yeah.
[01:53:33] Fuck.
[01:53:34] Sorry guys.
[01:53:37] Oh,
[01:53:38] thank God.
[01:53:38] I have extra points.
[01:53:40] I have points.
[01:53:41] Um,
[01:53:42] that's,
[01:53:42] uh,
[01:53:44] eight over six.
[01:53:46] What's the natural black?
[01:53:48] No,
[01:53:48] the natural black is five.
[01:53:50] Okay.
[01:53:51] Um,
[01:53:52] every,
[01:53:53] so you have five,
[01:53:54] you can reduce a box of stun of kill to stun or remove a box of
[01:53:59] stun.
[01:54:01] If I said that correctly,
[01:54:03] Ethan,
[01:54:04] um,
[01:54:04] every stun,
[01:54:05] uh,
[01:54:06] you could,
[01:54:06] you have five charges to play with.
[01:54:07] Each charge can turn a box of killed stun or a box of stun to remove it.
[01:54:13] I should be able to remove down to three stun.
[01:54:17] Okay.
[01:54:18] Yes.
[01:54:19] So St.
[01:54:20] Bernard,
[01:54:21] you are being treated.
[01:54:22] What would you like to do while you were being treated?
[01:54:26] I will say you probably can't get up and run around the building like other people,
[01:54:30] but I'll allow you to do certain things.
[01:54:33] I will draw my gun.
[01:54:35] Okay.
[01:54:36] Um,
[01:54:36] um,
[01:54:36] I mean,
[01:54:37] if I kind of got to stay there and be treated,
[01:54:39] I guess.
[01:54:40] Yeah.
[01:54:40] Yeah.
[01:54:40] Hold still.
[01:54:41] Hold still.
[01:54:41] Yeah.
[01:54:43] Okay.
[01:54:43] Don't put that thing at me.
[01:54:44] Um,
[01:54:45] and at that point,
[01:54:46] he,
[01:54:47] at the house across the street,
[01:54:49] gunfire erupts from one of the open windows,
[01:54:51] uh,
[01:54:52] and just sprays the front yard.
[01:54:54] I'm going to need everybody except for,
[01:54:58] um,
[01:54:59] shaker to give me a athletics check as someone with an SMG just sprays from one of the windows across the street.
[01:55:09] 10 over eight,
[01:55:11] nine over six.
[01:55:13] St.
[01:55:13] Bernard.
[01:55:14] Is he quiet?
[01:55:15] Cause he got shot.
[01:55:18] He has a ringing.
[01:55:19] I can't hear anything.
[01:55:21] Is it awareness?
[01:55:22] Yeah.
[01:55:23] You know,
[01:55:23] it's athletics to dodge your,
[01:55:25] uh,
[01:55:25] person in the house across the street just opens fire and sprays the entire front yard.
[01:55:32] Uh,
[01:55:33] four under seven.
[01:55:35] Okay.
[01:55:37] Um,
[01:55:39] do you have any will left or no?
[01:55:41] Probably,
[01:55:42] probably not at this point.
[01:55:44] Oh,
[01:55:45] well,
[01:55:46] you,
[01:55:46] you,
[01:55:47] most of the,
[01:55:48] the,
[01:55:48] the bullets rip into the pork.
[01:55:51] And you're also laying down being treated.
[01:55:53] So you only take two damage to location too.
[01:55:57] Uh,
[01:55:58] that's a leg.
[01:55:59] So I will actually have carpet greaves on.
[01:56:03] So it's time to burn some charges.
[01:56:05] Carpet greaves only works on casualty and vector bites.
[01:56:09] And time to take some kill damage.
[01:56:12] Okay.
[01:56:14] Okay.
[01:56:15] So now we will roll speed to see turn order.
[01:56:19] So just roll black guy.
[01:56:20] Add your speed.
[01:56:21] Nine.
[01:56:22] Four.
[01:56:25] Thirteen.
[01:56:26] Uh,
[01:56:26] that's,
[01:56:27] uh,
[01:56:27] eight.
[01:56:28] Okay.
[01:56:29] So four was St.
[01:56:31] Bernard.
[01:56:31] Road salt was eight.
[01:56:35] And shakes was 13.
[01:56:36] Shakes,
[01:56:36] you go first.
[01:56:37] You are around the corner.
[01:56:40] And I'm going to probably try to jump over the fence into the next yard.
[01:56:45] And I'm going to try to sneak my way to the house where the SMG is.
[01:56:49] So I'm just going to do a big UE.
[01:56:51] Okay.
[01:56:52] Give me a stealth check.
[01:56:53] If you're trying to be sneaky,
[01:56:55] athletics check.
[01:56:55] If you're trying to get there as fast as possible.
[01:56:57] Sneaky.
[01:56:59] And yeah,
[01:57:00] that is eight over five again.
[01:57:02] Okay.
[01:57:03] So you're making your away,
[01:57:05] us trying to circle around the building.
[01:57:08] You managed to do so.
[01:57:10] The person I'm trying to do the math.
[01:57:14] One,
[01:57:15] three,
[01:57:15] three.
[01:57:16] So that leaves me.
[01:57:17] Okay.
[01:57:17] Um,
[01:57:19] so the person is going to open fire on road salt.
[01:57:25] From the window.
[01:57:28] Okay.
[01:57:29] Is that another athletics?
[01:57:31] Yes.
[01:57:32] Uh,
[01:57:32] don't forget to mark off charges for all these athletics checks.
[01:57:35] Oh yeah.
[01:57:36] Yep.
[01:57:36] 11 over seven on that.
[01:57:38] Okay.
[01:57:39] Uh,
[01:57:39] you managed to duck for cover,
[01:57:40] dive,
[01:57:41] uh,
[01:57:41] behind some bushes.
[01:57:42] So we can't get a good shot on you.
[01:57:44] Does that use up both back kicking twitch?
[01:57:46] Okay.
[01:57:46] That's just your twitch.
[01:57:48] Okay.
[01:57:49] So then it is road salt's turn.
[01:57:51] Oh,
[01:57:52] road salt's turn.
[01:57:52] Yes.
[01:57:53] Um,
[01:57:54] can I see where they're firing from in the building enough to take a shot?
[01:57:57] Or you see the muzzle flashes and the,
[01:58:01] the sun is very low.
[01:58:02] So you can't make him out too well.
[01:58:04] You see his silhouette at amongst the middle of the muzzle flashes.
[01:58:09] So you can shoot on him.
[01:58:12] I'd like to open fire then.
[01:58:14] Okay.
[01:58:15] Go and shoot.
[01:58:16] And I would like to use one of my will to flip that.
[01:58:18] Okay.
[01:58:20] So that gives me a,
[01:58:21] uh,
[01:58:23] five over one.
[01:58:25] Okay.
[01:58:25] So roll for damage.
[01:58:26] Uh,
[01:58:27] for the listeners,
[01:58:27] we're doing random damage.
[01:58:30] That was Ian.
[01:58:30] Don't worry.
[01:58:31] Um,
[01:58:33] so yeah,
[01:58:33] we're doing,
[01:58:33] we're doing random damage,
[01:58:34] which means after we check to see if we succeed,
[01:58:36] we roll again to see what the damage and location are.
[01:58:39] Uh,
[01:58:40] so that's another,
[01:58:40] another roll of the black and the red,
[01:58:42] correct?
[01:58:43] Yes.
[01:58:43] Black is damaged.
[01:58:44] Red is location.
[01:58:46] Uh,
[01:58:47] that's seven to the three then.
[01:58:49] Okay.
[01:58:50] You fire up at the window.
[01:58:52] You hear a cry of pain as your bullets rip into him.
[01:58:58] It is Balto's turn.
[01:59:02] Balto,
[01:59:02] you just finished patching up his chest and you hear the gunfire and you duck down.
[01:59:06] And when you look up,
[01:59:07] his leg is now bleeding.
[01:59:09] Uh,
[01:59:10] yeah,
[01:59:10] it's,
[01:59:10] uh,
[01:59:10] it's like,
[01:59:11] ah,
[01:59:12] uh,
[01:59:13] I was like,
[01:59:13] I just,
[01:59:14] I just healed.
[01:59:15] God,
[01:59:15] God damn it.
[01:59:16] I just banded you up.
[01:59:17] Uh,
[01:59:18] I'm kidding.
[01:59:18] Is there,
[01:59:20] uh,
[01:59:20] I'm,
[01:59:21] I might in,
[01:59:21] or is,
[01:59:22] is he still in like basically,
[01:59:23] uh,
[01:59:25] out in the open kind of thing?
[01:59:26] Yeah.
[01:59:26] Yeah.
[01:59:26] You've managed to like duck.
[01:59:28] So where you're not in direct line from the gunshots,
[01:59:31] but he's sort of peeking out a bit into that.
[01:59:35] Sightline.
[01:59:35] Then.
[01:59:36] Yeah.
[01:59:36] I'd like to like try and maybe get,
[01:59:39] uh,
[01:59:40] I get,
[01:59:41] get a St.
[01:59:42] Bernard out of,
[01:59:43] out of view or like to,
[01:59:44] to a low,
[01:59:44] to a good,
[01:59:45] a safer spot to like fix heal at the helm or to,
[01:59:48] to do some first aid on him.
[01:59:50] So that he doesn't get any suffer anymore.
[01:59:53] Sure.
[01:59:53] You can do that.
[01:59:54] Roll me a,
[01:59:55] I'll say you can move him.
[01:59:56] Uh,
[01:59:56] you'll go full offense.
[01:59:57] So you could get two actions,
[01:59:59] you move him and then you can heal him.
[02:00:00] I'll just let you do healing now.
[02:00:02] Yeah.
[02:00:03] I can spend a ration if you want for that.
[02:00:05] And like,
[02:00:05] Oh no,
[02:00:05] no,
[02:00:05] it's,
[02:00:06] it's fine.
[02:00:06] It's just that when you go full offense,
[02:00:08] your second actions at the end of the turn order,
[02:00:10] but it doesn't matter since the other person already went.
[02:00:12] Gotcha.
[02:00:13] Uh,
[02:00:13] so just,
[02:00:14] uh,
[02:00:14] roll for first aid again.
[02:00:16] Yeah.
[02:00:19] Oh,
[02:00:20] um,
[02:00:22] well,
[02:00:22] I'm going to flip that with my,
[02:00:24] the will I got earlier.
[02:00:27] Uh,
[02:00:27] so that's going to be a,
[02:00:28] uh,
[02:00:31] the natural,
[02:00:31] natural seven to three over three,
[02:00:33] uh,
[02:00:34] with the flip.
[02:00:35] So it would be,
[02:00:36] so seven,
[02:00:37] so seven points.
[02:00:38] And this can only be used on your leg.
[02:00:40] So you basically clear up all the stun on your,
[02:00:43] kill and stun on your leg.
[02:00:45] Yeah.
[02:00:45] Beautiful.
[02:00:46] Okay.
[02:00:48] So St.
[02:00:49] Bernard,
[02:00:49] what do you want to do as you're dragged to cover?
[02:00:52] And then your leg is patched up.
[02:00:53] I would like to return fire.
[02:00:56] Okay.
[02:00:57] That son of a bitch.
[02:00:59] Roll the shoot.
[02:01:02] Ah,
[02:01:03] there we go.
[02:01:05] It's a seven.
[02:01:07] No,
[02:01:07] eight or eight over three.
[02:01:09] Yeah.
[02:01:10] Okay.
[02:01:11] Roll damage.
[02:01:13] Uh,
[02:01:13] let's see.
[02:01:14] I need to roll hit location or just,
[02:01:17] uh,
[02:01:17] you can,
[02:01:18] you can tell me the hit location too,
[02:01:20] if you want.
[02:01:20] Um,
[02:01:21] this is,
[02:01:21] this is not a market.
[02:01:22] This is not a very strong market for us.
[02:01:25] The natural die on the,
[02:01:26] on the shoot roll was six.
[02:01:28] That's a nine on the followup roll.
[02:01:31] Okay.
[02:01:32] Um,
[02:01:32] so you,
[02:01:33] you,
[02:01:34] the bullets go into the window.
[02:01:37] You wait for a second as there's no more noise and you sit there.
[02:01:43] Shaker shake.
[02:01:44] You come up to the back door of the building.
[02:01:46] Um,
[02:01:47] you guys are just sitting behind your cover waiting for return fire and you don't hear anything.
[02:01:54] It's gone quiet in the building.
[02:01:56] Um,
[02:01:57] shake.
[02:01:58] You go in and check on the,
[02:01:59] you make your way up the stairs,
[02:02:01] tomahawk in hand.
[02:02:02] And you guess the room where the person was shooting from and you open it.
[02:02:07] And there's a dead body slumped up against the window.
[02:02:10] Wait,
[02:02:11] you see that though?
[02:02:12] It's like,
[02:02:13] he just like pops up,
[02:02:14] draws the gun up.
[02:02:16] It's like robotic,
[02:02:18] like blam.
[02:02:20] And shot.
[02:02:22] So I would like to roll awareness to see if there's anyone else in the house.
[02:02:26] Sure.
[02:02:27] 12 over one.
[02:02:29] There appears to be no one else in the building.
[02:02:32] Okay.
[02:02:33] I'm going to scavenge him.
[02:02:36] Okay.
[02:02:37] I also want to basically,
[02:02:38] I kind of,
[02:02:39] I've got a flashlight on my mounted to my handgun.
[02:02:43] So I am going to make sure he's not latent.
[02:02:48] He is not latent.
[02:02:50] Okay,
[02:02:50] cool.
[02:02:51] So yeah,
[02:02:51] I guess I'll roll scavenge on him or,
[02:02:53] or do I just get whatever?
[02:02:55] Roll scavenge.
[02:02:58] Okay.
[02:02:59] That's eight over seven.
[02:03:01] Uh,
[02:03:02] what was the natural black?
[02:03:04] The natural black was,
[02:03:07] no,
[02:03:08] that's a critical failure then.
[02:03:09] So it would have been a seven,
[02:03:10] seven originally could only have one in scavenging.
[02:03:14] Okay.
[02:03:16] Shit.
[02:03:18] I got a wheel.
[02:03:19] I'll flip it.
[02:03:20] Fuck it.
[02:03:21] Okay.
[02:03:21] That's fine.
[02:03:23] Or would that make a difference?
[02:03:25] It would not.
[02:03:26] You could,
[02:03:26] it would just be a failure.
[02:03:28] Yeah.
[02:03:29] He has a live grenade.
[02:03:31] Oh God.
[02:03:32] Yeah.
[02:03:33] I honestly feel like,
[02:03:34] with,
[02:03:34] with the way things are going,
[02:03:35] I'm going to burn one wheel to do that then.
[02:03:38] So I'll,
[02:03:38] I'll make it just a failure instead of critical failure.
[02:03:41] Cause I'm afraid that.
[02:03:42] Yeah.
[02:03:43] Uh,
[02:03:43] the person didn't have any useful things on him.
[02:03:46] The SMG you see has a couple of bullets in there from the return fire.
[02:03:51] He got,
[02:03:51] um,
[02:03:52] you don't find any,
[02:03:53] he didn't have any money.
[02:03:55] Um,
[02:03:57] looks like everything is not scavengeable.
[02:04:01] It's almost like he was setting up this trap to,
[02:04:03] uh,
[02:04:03] get,
[02:04:03] uh,
[02:04:04] to get his own loot.
[02:04:05] Exactly.
[02:04:06] But I will say the other crew for free,
[02:04:08] cause it was just tied to a chair with some string can recover that shotgun free of charge.
[02:04:12] No role required.
[02:04:13] So I'll walk over.
[02:04:15] Do we see zombies or casualties coming now?
[02:04:18] Uh,
[02:04:19] no,
[02:04:20] there are no casualties.
[02:04:22] Can I scavenge the house that has the shotgun in it?
[02:04:24] Just to see if there's anything else in there.
[02:04:26] Sure.
[02:04:27] You can give me a scavenge rule.
[02:04:29] Uh,
[02:04:29] that is,
[02:04:30] uh,
[02:04:31] natural eight over four,
[02:04:32] which with my scavenge would be an 11 over four.
[02:04:36] You find down in the basement,
[02:04:38] a small generator going,
[02:04:41] which is what must've powered the light.
[02:04:43] You find two units of fuel.
[02:04:46] That was left for the generator.
[02:04:48] So you can either take that for your own or you can put it back into the,
[02:04:53] the,
[02:04:53] I mean to sell or put it back into the shamblings.
[02:04:57] I'll let,
[02:04:57] uh,
[02:04:59] uh,
[02:04:59] Balto decide what to do with that since he's been driving us around in his truck,
[02:05:02] uh,
[02:05:03] all day anyway.
[02:05:05] And is that generator saleable potentially?
[02:05:08] I'm going to need a resistance check to lug it up the stairs,
[02:05:13] but yeah,
[02:05:13] you could do that too.
[02:05:15] Is that something I can assist on?
[02:05:18] I already rolled a six over two on resistance.
[02:05:21] Okay.
[02:05:22] Yeah.
[02:05:22] Uh,
[02:05:22] you managed to lug up the generator and because the two moths no longer hiding on your shamblings,
[02:05:28] you have the room to fit the generator.
[02:05:30] Good deal.
[02:05:31] Just thinking of stuff to help,
[02:05:33] uh,
[02:05:33] line Balto's pockets.
[02:05:36] Yeah,
[02:05:36] no,
[02:05:36] I appreciate it.
[02:05:38] I just,
[02:05:39] yeah,
[02:05:39] Balto looks at the fuel.
[02:05:40] It's like,
[02:05:41] Oh,
[02:05:41] that can go a long way.
[02:05:44] Hard to come by.
[02:05:46] Great.
[02:05:47] Much appreciated.
[02:05:48] Roots up.
[02:05:50] Just trying to light up your life.
[02:05:52] Ha,
[02:05:52] ha,
[02:05:53] ha,
[02:05:54] ha.
[02:05:55] I bring back the broken gun,
[02:05:57] handed it to burn,
[02:05:58] uh,
[02:05:59] to,
[02:05:59] uh,
[02:06:00] St.
[02:06:00] Bernard.
[02:06:01] Hey,
[02:06:01] Bernie,
[02:06:02] you done shot the goddamn gun.
[02:06:03] I think it may have been what blew up in his face.
[02:06:06] Whatever does the job.
[02:06:09] Help me limp back to the truck.
[02:06:11] I will,
[02:06:13] uh,
[02:06:14] help him out.
[02:06:15] so,
[02:06:16] pick him up.
[02:06:16] I guess what,
[02:06:17] fireman carries,
[02:06:18] what they call it.
[02:06:20] Arm over the shoulder.
[02:06:22] If,
[02:06:22] if he allows you to do that,
[02:06:24] you do.
[02:06:24] You can throw him in the back of the truck,
[02:06:26] lay him down.
[02:06:26] Oh,
[02:06:27] I said limp.
[02:06:28] Oh God.
[02:06:29] Oh no.
[02:06:30] And like a sack of potatoes,
[02:06:32] he goes in the back of the truck.
[02:06:35] Shut the door.
[02:06:37] It's,
[02:06:40] it's like,
[02:06:40] it's like in hot shots.
[02:06:43] Slap the door on his hand.
[02:06:45] Sorry,
[02:06:46] I couldn't have helped it.
[02:06:50] Okay.
[02:06:51] You guys load,
[02:06:52] load back up into the van and,
[02:06:54] uh,
[02:06:55] head back to hatch.
[02:06:57] I'm going to,
[02:06:57] I'm going to hand back a little bit of my medicine to him.
[02:07:01] It's a help.
[02:07:02] Take your mind off the pain.
[02:07:03] Um,
[02:07:04] so you guys head back.
[02:07:06] Paxton's there.
[02:07:07] He unloads the drums of gunpowder.
[02:07:10] Thanks you a lot for them and hands over the bounty.
[02:07:15] Do you guys want to sell the shotgun?
[02:07:17] I see you guys probably do.
[02:07:22] And the generator,
[02:07:23] right?
[02:07:24] And the generator.
[02:07:26] Yes.
[02:07:26] Um,
[02:07:27] but did you guys want to sell the shotgun?
[02:07:30] I think so.
[02:07:31] Yeah,
[02:07:31] I think we all have.
[02:07:32] I don't see why not.
[02:07:34] Okay.
[02:07:35] So I'm going to need a networking check for the shotgun and a networking check for the generator.
[02:07:40] Actually,
[02:07:41] the,
[02:07:41] yeah.
[02:07:42] Um,
[02:07:43] let me just double check.
[02:07:44] I can do the networking on the generator considering I,
[02:07:47] you know,
[02:07:48] work here.
[02:07:49] Yeah.
[02:07:50] Okay.
[02:07:51] Nine over two.
[02:07:53] That is a success.
[02:07:55] So you sell the generator for.
[02:07:58] Ooh,
[02:07:59] nine bounty.
[02:08:00] They could really use that down in the mines.
[02:08:02] The archivists gladly buy it off of you to help power their new section of the vault.
[02:08:08] They're looking to fill in.
[02:08:11] Nice.
[02:08:12] Yeah.
[02:08:12] Who wants to sell the shotgun?
[02:08:14] Uh,
[02:08:15] I think we all have like one in networking,
[02:08:16] right?
[02:08:17] Yeah.
[02:08:17] I got one in networking,
[02:08:19] but I don't have any more will left in case I had to flip it.
[02:08:23] Yeah.
[02:08:23] Same.
[02:08:24] I mean,
[02:08:25] I could try to sell the shotgun also if you guys want.
[02:08:29] Cause I got extra will.
[02:08:31] Yeah.
[02:08:32] And I'm going to use that one extra will to reflip that to make a,
[02:08:37] an eight over two or a nine over two with the one point of networking.
[02:08:42] Okay.
[02:08:42] So that is four bags.
[02:08:43] You make off the shotgun.
[02:08:45] So you have 65,
[02:08:47] which gives you each,
[02:08:50] this is not counting the,
[02:08:51] this is counting the one extra bounty for no dad jokes.
[02:08:54] Um,
[02:08:57] so that's 16 bounty for three,
[02:09:00] 17 for one.
[02:09:02] I believe if I'm doing that right,
[02:09:04] I can take the 17,
[02:09:07] the lower number.
[02:09:09] I think that I think only one person gets 17.
[02:09:13] Yes.
[02:09:13] 16 for three.
[02:09:15] Oh,
[02:09:15] I'm sorry.
[02:09:15] I'll take one of this,
[02:09:16] the 16 then.
[02:09:17] I'll,
[02:09:18] I'll take a 16.
[02:09:19] I,
[02:09:20] I vote that,
[02:09:20] uh,
[02:09:21] Bernard probably it's,
[02:09:22] I'd say either Bernard or,
[02:09:24] uh,
[02:09:25] Balto probably need either to replenish help on the med kit purchase or pay
[02:09:30] medical bills.
[02:09:32] Well,
[02:09:32] make it purchase in all the fuel.
[02:09:34] I mean,
[02:09:34] Balto has been driving us around,
[02:09:35] right?
[02:09:36] Yeah.
[02:09:36] Fair.
[02:09:37] Yeah.
[02:09:37] I mean,
[02:09:37] I have been shot multiple times,
[02:09:40] but like Balto has a car that costs him,
[02:09:44] you know,
[02:09:46] a gigantic amount of money.
[02:09:48] Yeah.
[02:09:49] A stupid amount of cash.
[02:09:52] So for the purposes of transporter,
[02:09:55] I'm going to say that Balto has to pay the upkeep,
[02:09:57] but if you guys do want to help him out with the fuel,
[02:09:59] feel free to help him out with the fuel.
[02:10:01] But the upkeep solely has to be Balto.
[02:10:04] Yeah.
[02:10:05] Which you guys can figure out money afterwards,
[02:10:07] but we will,
[02:10:08] we end,
[02:10:09] we are going to end the session with a discussion.
[02:10:12] Okay.
[02:10:13] Each of you,
[02:10:14] both of you,
[02:10:15] uh,
[02:10:15] all of you have been approached by the DHQS and the moths.
[02:10:20] You've been given their numbers to reach them at.
[02:10:23] They are asking for your help with an upcoming strike against the DHQS,
[02:10:30] whether to help them defend against it or to go through with the attack.
[02:10:35] You guys,
[02:10:37] um,
[02:10:38] they,
[02:10:38] they have offered you both very good things,
[02:10:43] safety and protection in the West,
[02:10:48] or you could get into the recession where there's no casualties,
[02:10:52] no fear of infection,
[02:10:54] the life that some of you might be hoping to have.
[02:10:57] They're willing to pay you for the work that you do.
[02:11:00] And they both believe that they are right.
[02:11:08] And that they are the good cause.
[02:11:10] The DHQS sees putting down the moths as one step closer to reclamation.
[02:11:16] That means liberation of,
[02:11:21] um,
[02:11:22] uh,
[02:11:23] liberating the loss from the casualties.
[02:11:25] I can give you the whole sales pitch.
[02:11:27] I had planned for them.
[02:11:28] If you want me to give you their sales pitch.
[02:11:30] Do you guys want to hear it or no?
[02:11:34] I don't see the point in not hearing it.
[02:11:36] You know what I mean?
[02:11:38] Yeah.
[02:11:39] Well,
[02:11:39] due to the current political climate,
[02:11:43] it's approaching time for elections,
[02:11:45] not this year,
[02:11:47] but the next and discontent with living conditions,
[02:11:53] as well as the impossibility of completely hiding everything going on.
[02:11:58] And the loss has grown a movement to hasten and speed up reclamation.
[02:12:05] When people see a group of crazy fanatics with tallies all over their faces,
[02:12:11] a machine gun and a few gallons of fuel,
[02:12:14] take out hundreds of casualties by themselves,
[02:12:17] just two people.
[02:12:18] They start to wonder why can't our military,
[02:12:22] the best equipped in the world,
[02:12:23] or so they say,
[02:12:25] why can't they take out even more?
[02:12:28] They're better equipped.
[02:12:29] They have the resources.
[02:12:32] If they're truly worried about the casualties,
[02:12:37] infection threat,
[02:12:38] why don't they do what they did here in the East and set up barrens?
[02:12:44] Carriers,
[02:12:44] both natural and man-made to close off a section,
[02:12:50] purify it,
[02:12:51] then move in,
[02:12:53] build out a new section that's closed off,
[02:12:56] purify it,
[02:12:56] and take small chunks until you reclaim everything.
[02:12:59] Like what they did in the East during the beginning of the crash.
[02:13:04] They have latent work camps and companies going out there.
[02:13:08] Hire them to do it if they're really afraid.
[02:13:10] They're already working out there.
[02:13:12] And it's this push that they're hoping to achieve,
[02:13:17] and the moths are trying to prevent.
[02:13:19] The moths look at this and they say,
[02:13:22] they are trying to ruin our way of life because of this.
[02:13:25] They left us out here.
[02:13:27] And now they're saying that they're going to come in,
[02:13:31] upset our way of life or enclaves and push us out.
[02:13:35] They have toppled enclaves before.
[02:13:37] They don't consider us human.
[02:13:39] They're not going to treat us well.
[02:13:41] And what do we have to look forward to anyway if they do reclaim?
[02:13:45] People are jam-packed in free parking all throughout the recession,
[02:13:51] barely scraping to get by.
[02:13:52] Is that the life you really want?
[02:13:54] Yes,
[02:13:54] there's no threat of infection there or very little.
[02:13:59] But at least out here we're free.
[02:14:01] You make your own decisions within the walls and stuff like that.
[02:14:04] So each make good points.
[02:14:06] Each show the other as the villain.
[02:14:10] I will allow you guys to discuss if you wish to fight for a side.
[02:14:15] Or the third option,
[02:14:16] which I did tell you in character creation is,
[02:14:19] you can say fuck both sides.
[02:14:21] Ignore them or play them against each other.
[02:14:23] And try and make as much money as possible
[02:14:26] to flee the area before the fighting happens
[02:14:29] and any violence spills over into Hatch.
[02:14:33] So I will leave the discussion to you guys.
[02:14:36] As a player,
[02:14:38] I've never played a pro moth thing before.
[02:14:41] Like,
[02:14:41] I mean,
[02:14:42] I'm kind of intrigued on that aspect as a player.
[02:14:46] Yeah.
[02:14:47] I've thought of ways of making both people sound like very vicious people
[02:14:51] and making the other,
[02:14:53] like,
[02:14:53] or very nice people.
[02:14:54] I've been trying to think of good arguments
[02:14:56] because
[02:14:57] the natural inclination is fuck the DHQS.
[02:15:01] But...
[02:15:03] And also,
[02:15:03] the way you were selling it there actually did make the DHQS seem like
[02:15:10] the better option in the long run.
[02:15:14] But...
[02:15:14] They offer you safety of infection.
[02:15:17] They push to go back to a way of life of what it was
[02:15:21] when the moths are like,
[02:15:23] yes,
[02:15:24] but they're going to stomp over us to get there
[02:15:26] and it's going to take time.
[02:15:28] Yeah.
[02:15:29] Like,
[02:15:29] that's the main arguments that they have.
[02:15:33] Yeah.
[02:15:34] I'm trying to make both sound appealing
[02:15:36] and it comes down to
[02:15:37] your own personal beliefs
[02:15:39] and character motivations.
[02:15:42] So I will be quiet and let you guys discuss.
[02:15:44] And if you have any questions about the world at large,
[02:15:47] I will chime in.
[02:15:48] So I guess we're sitting in the van
[02:15:50] after the successful...
[02:15:53] All the bounty has been added up.
[02:15:55] The guns have been sold
[02:15:56] and we're all just kind of sitting there together.
[02:16:00] Yeah.
[02:16:01] That's a good spot.
[02:16:02] Shaker
[02:16:04] looks around like...
[02:16:06] Oh, it's...
[02:16:07] I just...
[02:16:07] I was just looking for a quick buck.
[02:16:09] You know?
[02:16:11] And...
[02:16:12] It's not quite a quick buck anymore now,
[02:16:14] is it?
[02:16:16] But...
[02:16:16] I...
[02:16:17] I don't know.
[02:16:18] Something's going down.
[02:16:20] And...
[02:16:21] I don't think we got a good decision.
[02:16:23] There's a good choice on any of this thing.
[02:16:25] It's just like,
[02:16:26] which one do you want to serve?
[02:16:27] And I don't like...
[02:16:28] I didn't like being conscripted
[02:16:31] for them people to do the dirty work.
[02:16:33] That was...
[02:16:33] That wasn't very nice.
[02:16:35] You know?
[02:16:36] No, I've heard a lot of
[02:16:38] horrible shit about them
[02:16:39] over in the East.
[02:16:45] Yeah.
[02:16:45] I don't know.
[02:16:46] Like, I don't...
[02:16:49] I'm inclined
[02:16:51] to decide...
[02:16:52] Like, I don't know.
[02:16:53] Like, how...
[02:16:54] Like, I've heard they don't
[02:16:55] treat the latents all that well.
[02:16:57] And, like...
[02:16:58] My brother's
[02:17:00] latent, so...
[02:17:02] We gotta stick together.
[02:17:05] Uh...
[02:17:06] But if, like...
[02:17:07] If the wet...
[02:17:08] Like...
[02:17:08] And also, like...
[02:17:09] They did leave us all out here.
[02:17:11] Who said they ain't gonna leave us again?
[02:17:14] Or worse...
[02:17:14] There's a reason they call it
[02:17:15] the T-minus never.
[02:17:17] Yeah.
[02:17:19] And the reason they call us
[02:17:20] homo secor?
[02:17:22] But the DHQS agent
[02:17:25] insinuated that
[02:17:26] that never...
[02:17:27] If things go smoothly
[02:17:30] in the upcoming months
[02:17:32] might be...
[02:17:33] might have a number
[02:17:34] attached to it
[02:17:34] with this growing
[02:17:36] political movement
[02:17:37] and desire to reclaim.
[02:17:40] If things go smoothly,
[02:17:42] there might be
[02:17:42] a number attached to it
[02:17:43] and we might be able
[02:17:44] to maybe cross over
[02:17:46] the fence.
[02:17:48] I don't trust him.
[02:17:50] Bernie...
[02:17:51] I can call you Bernie,
[02:17:51] can I?
[02:17:52] If you insist.
[02:17:55] Alright.
[02:17:55] You can call me shaky.
[02:17:58] That make it better?
[02:17:59] Alright.
[02:17:59] I will not.
[02:18:03] What's your take on this?
[02:18:04] I mean,
[02:18:05] I ain't a wheeling and dealing
[02:18:07] kind of man.
[02:18:07] I mean,
[02:18:07] I'm a dealing,
[02:18:08] but I ain't a wheeling
[02:18:09] kind of man.
[02:18:09] Like,
[02:18:10] what do you think?
[02:18:11] Yeah,
[02:18:11] no,
[02:18:12] I'm the wheeling man.
[02:18:14] It's a different wheel.
[02:18:15] Yeah.
[02:18:17] I won't take a side
[02:18:18] that puts a latent
[02:18:19] at risk.
[02:18:22] I have my own reasons
[02:18:23] for that,
[02:18:24] but wherever I go,
[02:18:27] she goes with me.
[02:18:29] I understand.
[02:18:31] What's your dreams,
[02:18:32] man?
[02:18:32] Look,
[02:18:33] I don't plan on
[02:18:34] staying here forever,
[02:18:35] but I had nothing
[02:18:37] over there
[02:18:39] and I ain't got any
[02:18:40] like marketable skills
[02:18:43] really.
[02:18:43] I mean,
[02:18:44] they're in a place
[02:18:45] there for me
[02:18:45] or for Mary,
[02:18:46] but we got
[02:18:47] our youngin,
[02:18:48] hope,
[02:18:49] you know,
[02:18:49] she's gonna be around.
[02:18:51] Um,
[02:18:52] I don't know,
[02:18:53] man.
[02:18:55] There's not a good
[02:18:55] decision for,
[02:18:56] for,
[02:18:57] for us to be
[02:18:58] quite nervous.
[02:19:00] I mean,
[02:19:00] I suppose the other,
[02:19:01] the third option
[02:19:02] is to,
[02:19:03] is to say,
[02:19:05] fuck them to
[02:19:05] either of them
[02:19:06] and just try
[02:19:07] and get the hell out.
[02:19:08] But I,
[02:19:08] I can't,
[02:19:09] he,
[02:19:10] he like,
[02:19:11] he,
[02:19:11] he likes,
[02:19:12] like,
[02:19:14] Balto starts like,
[02:19:15] kind of like shaking
[02:19:15] his head,
[02:19:15] like almost like disgusted
[02:19:16] with himself
[02:19:17] or even suggesting
[02:19:18] that,
[02:19:19] uh,
[02:19:19] just,
[02:19:20] no,
[02:19:21] I,
[02:19:21] I can't do that.
[02:19:22] Not again.
[02:19:23] What about you,
[02:19:24] Rhodes,
[02:19:25] uh,
[02:19:25] Rock Salt?
[02:19:26] I'm sorry,
[02:19:27] I almost called you
[02:19:27] Road Salt.
[02:19:28] It is Rhodes.
[02:19:29] Oh,
[02:19:30] it is.
[02:19:31] I mean,
[02:19:32] I'm sorry,
[02:19:33] man.
[02:19:34] Apologies.
[02:19:35] I almost called you
[02:19:36] by your real name.
[02:19:38] Mistake.
[02:19:39] Can I argue for,
[02:19:40] uh,
[02:19:40] Adam getting a will
[02:19:40] on that one?
[02:19:43] At the end of the session.
[02:19:44] Go for it.
[02:19:47] No,
[02:19:48] I don't,
[02:19:48] uh,
[02:19:49] I don't trust the DHQS.
[02:19:51] Uh,
[02:19:51] I don't really
[02:19:52] know the moths.
[02:19:54] Uh,
[02:19:55] you know,
[02:19:55] just trying to
[02:19:56] do my best out here,
[02:19:58] but I don't think
[02:19:59] it's with the,
[02:20:00] uh,
[02:20:00] DHQS.
[02:20:01] I have a suggestion,
[02:20:03] boys.
[02:20:04] Uh,
[02:20:04] I had one of those
[02:20:06] epiphanies,
[02:20:07] if you will,
[02:20:08] but,
[02:20:10] uh,
[02:20:10] headache with pictures.
[02:20:12] Uh,
[02:20:12] he just stares off
[02:20:13] for a second.
[02:20:14] All right.
[02:20:14] Um,
[02:20:16] uh,
[02:20:16] here's what I was
[02:20:17] thinking.
[02:20:17] Like,
[02:20:18] I'm,
[02:20:18] I'm kind of interested
[02:20:20] in,
[02:20:20] in the people that we,
[02:20:21] we live with around
[02:20:22] here.
[02:20:23] So why don't,
[02:20:25] why don't we do
[02:20:25] what's best for the
[02:20:26] people?
[02:20:28] You know how it is.
[02:20:29] It's like it was
[02:20:30] last time.
[02:20:31] We're going to get
[02:20:31] caught up in the
[02:20:32] middle of this war
[02:20:32] here.
[02:20:33] Let's just kind of,
[02:20:34] let's just play it
[02:20:35] by ear,
[02:20:35] see what happens
[02:20:36] and see which one
[02:20:38] has the best interest
[02:20:38] of the enclave.
[02:20:41] So I guess that's
[02:20:42] not a really great
[02:20:43] answer though.
[02:20:44] So,
[02:20:44] but,
[02:20:45] um,
[02:20:45] I mean,
[02:20:46] yeah,
[02:20:46] if we do that,
[02:20:47] it's,
[02:20:47] it's just gonna,
[02:20:48] like we can,
[02:20:48] we can,
[02:20:48] we can,
[02:20:50] I guess,
[02:20:51] pussyfoot around
[02:20:51] the,
[02:20:52] the,
[02:20:52] the,
[02:20:52] the issue here,
[02:20:54] uh,
[02:20:54] for a couple more
[02:20:55] for,
[02:20:55] for a little,
[02:20:56] for a little while
[02:20:56] longer,
[02:20:57] but then eventually
[02:20:59] it's going to come
[02:20:59] to our door and
[02:21:00] we're going to have
[02:21:01] to make the choice
[02:21:01] then.
[02:21:02] So like,
[02:21:02] it's either we
[02:21:04] wait and make
[02:21:04] the decision or
[02:21:05] we come to the
[02:21:06] decision now.
[02:21:08] All right.
[02:21:09] Let's go with
[02:21:09] the miles.
[02:21:10] Then he just says
[02:21:11] without thinking
[02:21:12] push come to shove.
[02:21:13] I would throw in
[02:21:14] with the moths
[02:21:14] long before the
[02:21:16] THQS.
[02:21:17] Look,
[02:21:17] we don't lie to
[02:21:18] them.
[02:21:18] If they figure out
[02:21:19] we've lied to
[02:21:20] them,
[02:21:20] then we're not
[02:21:21] going to be a
[02:21:22] trusted asset
[02:21:22] anyway.
[02:21:24] Yeah.
[02:21:24] Technically we've
[02:21:25] already kind of
[02:21:25] put our foot in
[02:21:26] with the moths
[02:21:27] or the moths,
[02:21:28] the moths.
[02:21:29] And,
[02:21:30] and they're
[02:21:30] gonna,
[02:21:30] they're gonna,
[02:21:32] hell,
[02:21:32] they may end up
[02:21:33] squealing on us
[02:21:35] stuff like that.
[02:21:36] I mean,
[02:21:36] I think
[02:21:38] we,
[02:21:38] we joked about it,
[02:21:40] and we thought
[02:21:40] we had a decision,
[02:21:41] but I don't really
[02:21:42] think there's much
[02:21:42] of a decision.
[02:21:43] We just need to
[02:21:44] try to make the
[02:21:44] best of a bad
[02:21:45] thing at this
[02:21:46] point then.
[02:21:47] Yeah,
[02:21:48] I don't,
[02:21:48] I don't trust the
[02:21:49] THQS and I don't
[02:21:50] really trust the
[02:21:50] moths.
[02:21:51] I mean,
[02:21:51] the moths are
[02:21:52] kind of like a
[02:21:52] cracked ceiling.
[02:21:53] They aren't the
[02:21:53] best,
[02:21:53] but they're up
[02:21:53] there.
[02:21:55] Maybe the moths
[02:21:56] can set us up
[02:21:57] someplace where
[02:21:57] we don't have
[02:21:58] to actually be
[02:21:58] a part of the
[02:21:59] moths.
[02:21:59] Like,
[02:22:00] we do a
[02:22:00] solid,
[02:22:01] they set us
[02:22:02] up,
[02:22:02] maybe we
[02:22:03] could,
[02:22:03] maybe we
[02:22:04] could live
[02:22:04] in,
[02:22:05] like,
[02:22:06] distributing?
[02:22:08] We could go
[02:22:08] somewhere.
[02:22:09] I mean,
[02:22:09] I'd like to
[02:22:10] just,
[02:22:11] we can't go
[02:22:12] back there,
[02:22:12] but I don't
[02:22:12] want to be
[02:22:13] at the same
[02:22:14] spot that
[02:22:14] the THQS
[02:22:16] is gonna come
[02:22:16] knocking the
[02:22:17] door down
[02:22:17] one day.
[02:22:18] I mean,
[02:22:19] I have no,
[02:22:20] Ubix City sounds
[02:22:21] cool and shit
[02:22:22] like that,
[02:22:22] but at the
[02:22:23] same time,
[02:22:25] I don't know.
[02:22:26] But we'll
[02:22:27] figure that part
[02:22:28] out as we
[02:22:28] go.
[02:22:29] So,
[02:22:30] Balto,
[02:22:31] what do you
[02:22:31] think?
[02:22:32] Moths or
[02:22:35] Creece?
[02:22:35] Yeah.
[02:22:37] Yeah,
[02:22:37] I don't,
[02:22:38] I don't really
[02:22:38] trust the
[02:22:39] THQS any more
[02:22:40] than I can
[02:22:41] throw them
[02:22:41] from,
[02:22:43] and the
[02:22:44] mods seem
[02:22:44] like good
[02:22:45] people,
[02:22:45] well,
[02:22:46] better people,
[02:22:47] I guess.
[02:22:49] yeah,
[02:22:50] I'll go
[02:22:50] with the
[02:22:51] mods.
[02:22:52] Push comes
[02:22:52] as a
[02:22:52] shove.
[02:22:54] What about
[02:22:55] you there,
[02:22:57] road salt?
[02:22:58] He paused
[02:22:58] for a second.
[02:23:01] Not a method
[02:23:02] actor.
[02:23:03] I'm in.
[02:23:04] You're down?
[02:23:05] Yeah.
[02:23:06] St. Bernard.
[02:23:07] How about
[02:23:08] yourself,
[02:23:08] sir?
[02:23:09] I feel like
[02:23:09] we've cycled
[02:23:10] through everyone
[02:23:10] already.
[02:23:11] I know,
[02:23:12] but I'm
[02:23:12] going somewhere
[02:23:13] with this.
[02:23:14] Okay.
[02:23:15] Your eyes are
[02:23:16] very bloodshot,
[02:23:17] you know that.
[02:23:18] All right.
[02:23:19] Now hear this.
[02:23:20] I think I got
[02:23:21] a name for
[02:23:22] us.
[02:23:23] Salty dogs.
[02:23:27] As it just
[02:23:28] like pans,
[02:23:29] the camera
[02:23:29] pans away.
[02:23:31] Okay.
[02:23:32] And we'll
[02:23:32] leave it at
[02:23:33] that.
[02:23:33] The salty
[02:23:34] dogs have
[02:23:35] agreed to
[02:23:36] help the
[02:23:37] moths
[02:23:38] on their
[02:23:39] attack
[02:23:41] on
[02:23:43] settlement
[02:23:44] liberty,
[02:23:45] I think
[02:23:46] was the
[02:23:46] name of
[02:23:46] it.
[02:23:47] I'll
[02:23:47] double
[02:23:47] check that
[02:23:47] for next
[02:23:48] time.
[02:23:48] Okay.
[02:23:49] Which is
[02:23:50] the former
[02:23:51] location of
[02:23:52] Fort
[02:23:53] Leavenworth
[02:23:53] and the
[02:23:54] Leavenworth
[02:23:54] prison.
[02:23:56] So they
[02:23:57] plan on
[02:23:58] doing the
[02:23:58] attack
[02:23:59] against
[02:24:00] the
[02:24:00] settlement
[02:24:03] in
[02:24:04] eight
[02:24:06] months'
[02:24:06] time.
[02:24:07] You know,
[02:24:08] prime
[02:24:08] election season.
[02:24:09] Not like right
[02:24:10] before the vote,
[02:24:11] but in the
[02:24:11] middle of
[02:24:11] election season.
[02:24:12] It will
[02:24:14] be big
[02:24:15] publicity and
[02:24:17] it'll ruin
[02:24:17] any
[02:24:19] reclamation
[02:24:19] push that
[02:24:21] anyone in
[02:24:22] the recession
[02:24:22] may have,
[02:24:24] which is
[02:24:24] their hopes.
[02:24:26] And they
[02:24:26] thank you for
[02:24:27] agreeing to
[02:24:28] help them.
[02:24:29] Questions,
[02:24:30] comments,
[02:24:30] concerns,
[02:24:31] how'd you guys
[02:24:31] like the
[02:24:31] session?
[02:24:32] Besides the
[02:24:33] problems with
[02:24:34] Craig.
[02:24:35] Yeah,
[02:24:35] well,
[02:24:35] technical
[02:24:36] difficulties
[02:24:36] aside,
[02:24:38] the actual
[02:24:39] difficulties
[02:24:39] not are
[02:24:40] friends in
[02:24:41] the podcast.
[02:24:42] No,
[02:24:42] man,
[02:24:43] I thought
[02:24:43] it was
[02:24:43] great.
[02:24:44] I liked
[02:24:44] the setup.
[02:24:45] It was
[02:24:45] nice,
[02:24:47] low-key,
[02:24:48] I guess you
[02:24:48] could say.
[02:24:49] It was
[02:24:49] more like,
[02:24:51] you know,
[02:24:51] the fear
[02:24:53] of being
[02:24:53] caught up
[02:24:54] into something
[02:24:54] that's bigger
[02:24:55] than yourself
[02:24:56] kind of
[02:24:57] deal like
[02:24:57] that.
[02:24:58] And,
[02:24:59] I mean,
[02:25:00] I like the
[02:25:00] fact you
[02:25:01] gave us
[02:25:01] options.
[02:25:01] I like
[02:25:02] the fact
[02:25:02] that,
[02:25:04] you know,
[02:25:04] we weren't
[02:25:05] strong-armed
[02:25:05] into any
[02:25:06] decision.
[02:25:07] I was
[02:25:08] impressed with
[02:25:09] just how
[02:25:09] quick things
[02:25:10] turned the
[02:25:11] second we
[02:25:12] walked into
[02:25:13] the black
[02:25:14] powder place.
[02:25:15] It just
[02:25:15] seemed like,
[02:25:16] I thought
[02:25:16] Ethan was
[02:25:17] just going
[02:25:17] to play
[02:25:17] it cool,
[02:25:18] and then
[02:25:18] all of a
[02:25:18] sudden,
[02:25:19] it's like,
[02:25:19] all the
[02:25:19] cards right
[02:25:20] here on
[02:25:20] the table,
[02:25:21] right here.
[02:25:22] Yeah.
[02:25:23] I'd actually
[02:25:24] forgotten that
[02:25:25] this was a
[02:25:26] war game,
[02:25:27] war campaign.
[02:25:28] So it's like,
[02:25:29] when the
[02:25:31] QS came over,
[02:25:32] it was like,
[02:25:32] oh,
[02:25:32] we're
[02:25:33] conscripting you
[02:25:33] for this.
[02:25:34] Oh,
[02:25:35] shit,
[02:25:35] right,
[02:25:35] that's the
[02:25:36] other
[02:25:36] plot.
[02:25:40] I also,
[02:25:41] like,
[02:25:41] as that
[02:25:42] was unfolding,
[02:25:43] I was
[02:25:44] remembering
[02:25:44] in character
[02:25:45] creation,
[02:25:45] I was like,
[02:25:48] heard Nick
[02:25:48] in the
[02:25:49] background,
[02:25:49] like,
[02:25:50] you're gonna
[02:25:50] have to
[02:25:51] choose a
[02:25:51] side.
[02:25:53] Well,
[02:25:53] I said that
[02:25:54] you don't
[02:25:55] have to
[02:25:55] choose a
[02:25:55] side.
[02:25:56] You could
[02:25:56] go on
[02:25:56] your own,
[02:25:58] but it
[02:25:59] would be
[02:25:59] preferable
[02:25:59] if you guys
[02:26:00] did,
[02:26:00] but I
[02:26:01] would
[02:26:01] understand
[02:26:01] if you
[02:26:02] didn't.
[02:26:04] There's no
[02:26:05] point in
[02:26:05] running
[02:26:05] from the
[02:26:06] plot.
[02:26:06] Yeah.
[02:26:07] Also,
[02:26:08] I don't
[02:26:08] think my
[02:26:08] character
[02:26:08] would be
[02:26:09] able to
[02:26:09] just,
[02:26:10] like,
[02:26:10] walk away
[02:26:11] from that
[02:26:11] kind of
[02:26:11] thing,
[02:26:12] or get
[02:26:13] as much
[02:26:13] money
[02:26:14] and then
[02:26:14] leave.
[02:26:15] Yeah.
[02:26:16] I mean,
[02:26:17] I thought
[02:26:18] this was
[02:26:18] great.
[02:26:18] I like
[02:26:19] the,
[02:26:19] and I'll
[02:26:20] shut up
[02:26:20] and let
[02:26:21] other
[02:26:21] people talk
[02:26:21] here.
[02:26:22] I just
[02:26:22] want to
[02:26:22] kind of
[02:26:22] get this
[02:26:22] point
[02:26:23] out
[02:26:23] there
[02:26:23] real
[02:26:23] quick.
[02:26:24] I
[02:26:31] balances
[02:26:32] that will
[02:26:33] probably
[02:26:33] be edited
[02:26:33] out some,
[02:26:34] not that,
[02:26:35] like,
[02:26:35] when I
[02:26:35] truncate
[02:26:36] this entire
[02:26:36] recording
[02:26:37] into a
[02:26:37] smaller chunk,
[02:26:38] but for
[02:26:39] those of
[02:26:39] you who
[02:26:39] are listening
[02:26:39] to this
[02:26:40] in the
[02:26:41] future,
[02:26:42] whenever we
[02:26:43] were saying
[02:26:44] something to
[02:26:44] Bernard and
[02:26:45] calling him
[02:26:45] Bernie,
[02:26:46] there was
[02:26:47] at least
[02:26:47] a five-step
[02:26:48] pause between
[02:26:49] every single
[02:26:50] response.
[02:26:51] And I
[02:26:51] think,
[02:26:53] like Keith
[02:26:53] Whitley said,
[02:26:54] you said
[02:26:55] it best when
[02:26:55] you said
[02:26:56] nothing at
[02:26:56] all,
[02:26:57] Ethan.
[02:26:58] It was
[02:26:59] like more
[02:26:59] than five
[02:27:00] seconds.
[02:27:00] I would
[02:27:00] look over
[02:27:01] at Discord
[02:27:02] to see if
[02:27:02] he was
[02:27:02] muted or
[02:27:03] something,
[02:27:03] so I
[02:27:03] would tell
[02:27:04] him he
[02:27:04] was
[02:27:04] muted.
[02:27:07] Yeah,
[02:27:07] I could
[02:27:07] just hear
[02:27:08] the internal
[02:27:08] monologue.
[02:27:09] I have
[02:27:09] to work
[02:27:10] with these
[02:27:10] assholes
[02:27:10] every time.
[02:27:13] Also,
[02:27:13] I like
[02:27:13] how no
[02:27:14] one
[02:27:14] questioned
[02:27:15] just
[02:27:15] Rhodes
[02:27:15] Salt
[02:27:16] joining on
[02:27:16] there at
[02:27:17] the end.
[02:27:17] Like,
[02:27:17] aren't you
[02:27:18] going to
[02:27:18] go back
[02:27:18] to the
[02:27:19] mine
[02:27:19] or
[02:27:19] anything?
[02:27:19] It's
[02:27:19] just
[02:27:20] like,
[02:27:20] okay,
[02:27:20] we're
[02:27:21] doing
[02:27:21] this
[02:27:21] for
[02:27:21] helping.
[02:27:25] He's
[02:27:25] like,
[02:27:25] yeah,
[02:27:26] I'm part
[02:27:26] of the
[02:27:26] team.
[02:27:33] Just be
[02:27:34] surprised when
[02:27:34] I show
[02:27:35] up to
[02:27:35] join next
[02:27:36] time.
[02:27:37] Oh,
[02:27:38] you're
[02:27:38] still
[02:27:38] here?
[02:27:40] I like
[02:27:41] your
[02:27:41] doubling
[02:27:42] down on
[02:27:42] dad jokes
[02:27:43] and stuff
[02:27:43] like that.
[02:27:44] I like
[02:27:45] that as
[02:27:45] your
[02:27:45] character
[02:27:46] trait.
[02:27:46] I like
[02:27:46] that
[02:27:46] that was
[02:27:47] a mechanic
[02:27:47] to get
[02:27:48] bounty.
[02:27:49] That was,
[02:27:49] I don't
[02:27:49] know.
[02:27:50] That was a
[02:27:51] good one.
[02:27:51] Yeah,
[02:27:51] that was a
[02:27:52] good turnaround
[02:27:52] for that.
[02:27:53] Yeah,
[02:27:53] I'm not
[02:27:54] going to do
[02:27:54] that all
[02:27:55] the time.
[02:27:55] It's just
[02:27:56] that it
[02:27:56] got to
[02:27:57] the point
[02:27:57] where I
[02:27:58] out of
[02:27:58] character
[02:27:59] as God
[02:28:00] was like,
[02:28:00] what the
[02:28:01] fuck?
[02:28:02] Yeah,
[02:28:03] roll self
[02:28:03] control.
[02:28:04] Yeah,
[02:28:04] no,
[02:28:04] we got
[02:28:04] it.
[02:28:05] We got
[02:28:05] you were
[02:28:05] getting
[02:28:06] annoyed.
[02:28:08] Yeah,
[02:28:08] I'm trying
[02:28:08] to find
[02:28:09] the right
[02:28:10] frequency
[02:28:11] on that.
[02:28:12] Yeah,
[02:28:13] I mean,
[02:28:13] I was kind
[02:28:14] of struggling
[02:28:14] with the
[02:28:14] same thing.
[02:28:16] In the
[02:28:17] beginning,
[02:28:17] I was like,
[02:28:18] man,
[02:28:18] I'm going
[02:28:18] to play
[02:28:18] my unknown
[02:28:19] army's
[02:28:20] character.
[02:28:20] And then
[02:28:20] I was like,
[02:28:21] no,
[02:28:21] I better
[02:28:22] not.
[02:28:22] I can't
[02:28:22] be that
[02:28:23] friggin'
[02:28:25] dense
[02:28:25] and all
[02:28:25] that.
[02:28:26] So,
[02:28:27] I don't
[02:28:28] know.
[02:28:28] Did I go
[02:28:28] a little
[02:28:29] overboard
[02:28:29] with
[02:28:32] disjointedness
[02:28:32] of
[02:28:33] Shaker?
[02:28:35] It was
[02:28:36] fun.
[02:28:37] It was
[02:28:38] it was
[02:28:39] it seemed
[02:28:40] like you
[02:28:41] were definitely
[02:28:41] going like
[02:28:42] the stoner
[02:28:42] route.
[02:28:43] Yeah.
[02:28:45] I had fun.
[02:28:46] I feel like
[02:28:47] that's something
[02:28:47] you've got to
[02:28:47] work on,
[02:28:48] though,
[02:28:48] if he's
[02:28:49] going to
[02:28:49] have a
[02:28:49] daughter.
[02:28:50] Yeah.
[02:28:51] Oh,
[02:28:52] God,
[02:28:52] yes,
[02:28:52] right.
[02:28:53] I might
[02:28:53] have to
[02:28:53] straighten
[02:28:53] up,
[02:28:54] work right.
[02:28:55] I might
[02:28:55] have to
[02:28:55] get a
[02:28:56] job and
[02:28:56] a haircut
[02:28:57] and a
[02:28:57] 401k
[02:28:58] plan.
[02:28:59] I mean,
[02:28:59] I got
[02:28:59] this.
[02:29:01] But now
[02:29:02] that this
[02:29:03] was a great
[02:29:04] first session.
[02:29:05] Does anyone
[02:29:05] else have
[02:29:06] anything to
[02:29:06] add?
[02:29:08] No,
[02:29:09] no,
[02:29:09] I just I
[02:29:10] just tried to
[02:29:10] make the
[02:29:11] approach to
[02:29:12] both groups
[02:29:12] as neutral
[02:29:13] as possible.
[02:29:13] So you guys
[02:29:14] wouldn't be
[02:29:15] pushed towards
[02:29:15] one or the
[02:29:16] other.
[02:29:16] Sorry,
[02:29:17] we didn't go
[02:29:18] DHQS.
[02:29:18] No,
[02:29:19] I wasn't
[02:29:19] pushing you
[02:29:20] towards the
[02:29:20] DHQS.
[02:29:21] I was going
[02:29:21] middle of the
[02:29:22] road.
[02:29:22] Yeah,
[02:29:23] no,
[02:29:23] it's kind of
[02:29:23] hard to be
[02:29:24] it's hard to
[02:29:25] go pro
[02:29:26] DHQS unless
[02:29:27] you're all
[02:29:27] like a bunch
[02:29:27] of assholes.
[02:29:28] That's that's
[02:29:29] why I had them
[02:29:30] offer you like
[02:29:30] to smuggle you
[02:29:31] into the recession.
[02:29:32] So it was
[02:29:32] like a free
[02:29:33] milestone.
[02:29:34] Yeah,
[02:29:35] same time
[02:29:35] though,
[02:29:35] like that's
[02:29:36] I don't know
[02:29:37] like again
[02:29:38] in a character
[02:29:39] sense that's
[02:29:40] kind of like
[02:29:41] almost like a
[02:29:42] pride thing
[02:29:43] it's like
[02:29:43] oh,
[02:29:44] I have the
[02:29:45] honor of
[02:29:45] being smuggled
[02:29:46] into your
[02:29:47] illegally being
[02:29:48] going into
[02:29:49] your into
[02:29:50] the safe zone.
[02:29:51] It's like no,
[02:29:52] I'd rather be
[02:29:52] free.
[02:29:53] Yeah,
[02:29:53] kind of
[02:29:54] thing.
[02:29:54] Yeah,
[02:29:55] I have to
[02:29:55] say the
[02:29:55] low pressure
[02:29:56] sales tactics
[02:29:57] is not
[02:29:57] something you
[02:29:58] normally get
[02:29:58] from the
[02:29:58] DHQS and
[02:30:00] I'm expecting
[02:30:00] us to it
[02:30:01] to bite us
[02:30:01] very hard at
[02:30:02] some point in
[02:30:03] the not too
[02:30:03] distant future.
[02:30:04] Well,
[02:30:05] they're definitely
[02:30:05] going to find
[02:30:05] out or
[02:30:06] something's
[02:30:07] going to
[02:30:07] happen.
[02:30:07] Well,
[02:30:08] as long as
[02:30:08] you don't
[02:30:09] openly support
[02:30:10] the moths,
[02:30:11] they may not
[02:30:13] care.
[02:30:14] What?
[02:30:15] As my
[02:30:15] character just
[02:30:16] put like
[02:30:16] painting a
[02:30:17] moth on
[02:30:18] the
[02:30:19] for for
[02:30:20] anyone in
[02:30:22] the party
[02:30:23] who has
[02:30:24] any
[02:30:26] bounty
[02:30:26] left over
[02:30:27] at the
[02:30:27] end of
[02:30:27] this,
[02:30:27] I would
[02:30:28] recommend
[02:30:29] spending
[02:30:29] one on
[02:30:30] deception.
[02:30:31] Just saying.
[02:30:33] I don't
[02:30:34] know what
[02:30:34] you're talking
[02:30:34] about.
[02:30:36] Just,
[02:30:36] you know,
[02:30:37] because it
[02:30:37] might come
[02:30:38] up.
[02:30:40] Okay.
[02:30:41] Do you
[02:30:41] want to
[02:30:42] kill
[02:30:42] Alistar?
[02:30:45] Alistar.
[02:30:46] Okay.
[02:30:46] All right.
[02:30:47] By the way,
[02:30:47] folks,
[02:30:48] Alistar is
[02:30:48] the bot
[02:30:49] that we're
[02:30:49] using record
[02:30:50] and Craig,
[02:30:51] we were
[02:30:51] kind of
[02:30:52] putting it
[02:30:52] together.
[02:30:52] So thank
[02:30:53] you for
[02:30:53] tuning in
[02:30:53] to this
[02:30:54] episode of
[02:30:55] Rope Point
[02:30:56] Exchange and
[02:30:57] our brand
[02:30:58] new Red
[02:30:58] Markets
[02:30:59] campaign,
[02:31:00] T minus
[02:31:01] dot dot dot.
[02:31:03] Yeah,
[02:31:03] I was going
[02:31:03] to say.
[02:31:03] I wanted
[02:31:04] to leave
[02:31:04] it up in
[02:31:05] the air
[02:31:05] because if
[02:31:06] you go
[02:31:06] with the
[02:31:06] DHQS,
[02:31:07] there's
[02:31:07] actually a
[02:31:07] time associated
[02:31:08] with it.
[02:31:10] I'd like
[02:31:11] to thank
[02:31:11] you all
[02:31:11] for tuning
[02:31:12] in for
[02:31:12] this and
[02:31:13] I hope
[02:31:13] that I'm
[02:31:13] able to
[02:31:14] string
[02:31:14] together
[02:31:14] the
[02:31:15] disjointed
[02:31:16] recording
[02:31:16] technical
[02:31:16] problems
[02:31:17] that we
[02:31:17] had.
[02:31:18] But if
[02:31:18] not,
[02:31:19] thank you
[02:31:19] for staying
[02:31:20] with us.
[02:31:21] And until
[02:31:21] next time,
[02:31:22] we'll see
[02:31:23] you all
[02:31:23] later.
[02:31:23] Bye-bye.
[02:31:24] Bye-bye.
[02:31:24] Bye-bye.
[02:31:25] Bye-bye.
