[00:00:00] Hello, hello, hello. This is the Roleplaying Exchange. This is Ian with a The first time running Alien, the RPG from Freelig. I'm joined here by three very lovely people who can introduce themselves alphabetically starting with Adam.

[00:00:19] Hey, this is Adam and I am going to be playing the role of Morgan Hirsch. Morgan is a X Personary who got tired of the trade and What to say that he tried to get away so Morgan decided to join on to Hadley's home.

[00:00:39] Hadley's hopes cute making his new home, and he currently works as a janitor Great, then Ben Yes, it's been from Detective and I'm playing Sonny Sigg who is a scientist. I am Like many people who have just gotten out of a degree

[00:01:01] And I'm talking about Sonny Sigg not myself. I Am here, you know like I like my job But you know I'm I'm I and move on to like bigger and better things as all Hyper-competitive STEM majors want to do All right

[00:01:22] But not me not me Ben the Ben the person because I study evolution So I'm not going on to bigger things. I will have no money and just as I want Alright then Salutations this unit is referred to as Holroyd. I

[00:02:05] I am stuck on this song by the Dresden dolls coin operated boy All right, and we have two other PC characters that may be introduced later on when our People inevitably die or well, I mean, you know, I'm sure everything's gonna go fine. Uh No

[00:02:25] Ah, holdy brief little story to start us off Hadley's hope jointly funded by Wayland Utani in the United Americas has a Them and us feel to it with any visiting corporate folk looking down their noses at the call at the colonies laborers

[00:02:43] Despite this the colony has been developing well Developing well there are there's opportunity a plenty and risk a plenty too Four days ago a wildcatter named Russ Jordan was brought back infected with something He died and some snake-like parasite disappeared into the guts of the base

[00:03:04] Security has had no luck catching the thing and somehow more people were infected rumor has it That some of them have died and there are more or these snake-like things than supervisor Simpson is admitting to Simpson spoke over the intercoms calling for calm

[00:03:22] Crisis or not you have a job to do though 24 hours ago you headed out on a maintenance run to process or nine happy to leave base until the crisis blows over 10 kilometers out Singleton's track tractor gave up the ghost a nasty

[00:03:38] Mechanical crunch told you it wasn't going any further calls back to Hadley's hope got a cursory response We're told to wait and they get to your little problem when they have the time

[00:03:49] Well, you waited you got to talking about the crisis and the Wayland Utani corporate shuttle that arrived right before you left The shuttle carried an inspection team led by company agent Miranda Reynolds and her chief scientist Theodora commis comiskey

[00:04:05] Segre lay it's something he'd heard you'd overheard a hushed Conversation about the shuttle being quickly and quietly ready to departure Reynolds and comiskey are the are likely the only two who have authorized Use of the shuttle and the only two with the access keys needed to use it

[00:04:24] For all you know, it was Reynolds who ordered Jordan out there in the first place It's not right for the Wayland Utani reps to just skip out and leave you the workers to clean up this bloody mess

[00:04:34] If things go bad, why shouldn't you get those key cords and get away instead? The day has passed and you've still heard nothing all for their attempts to contact Hadley's hope have been fruitless

[00:04:45] No one is coming to help the only commasian communication you were picking up or garbled almost panicked even There is no option but to walk back and see what the hell is going on so

[00:05:00] We start our scenario off with if you look at your maps that I have put up To level one We start off with You finally making your long walk back to back to the colony of Hadley's hope

[00:05:20] The wind to serve has started to whip around this almost desolate planet still in the process of being terraformed It's it's hard to see you are pretty sure you've been here Storm coming in the distance Finally reaching over the crest You see what appears to be

[00:05:45] You see what it looks to be the west lock of The of the base to your left you can see the the landing pad and the shuttle That you had actually been previously talking about the Wayland you Tani rep reps came in on and You see lights

[00:06:08] Coming from the the facility. However, not everything is lit. It seems to be more some floodlights here there what not Well What do you wish to do? You actually why don't we start off everyone give me an observation roll Observation that is under skills Yes, I

[00:06:30] Got one success. That's all you really need. I Also have a single success nothing for Morgan Okay, too busy fit along with this cross necklace. This is setting him on it. Just this is worse than when we left It's fair enough

[00:06:50] For the other two Hullroyd and Sunny you kind of noticed that Usually when you get in you can see near the main Ops post and whatnot the glass People are moving you should be moving about you'd probably be seeing a lot more lights No one's there. No one's

[00:07:12] Outside you don't really hear anything granted. It's a bit hard with the whipping wind but Even still you'd expect to see someone around God damn it They're probably still dealing with the fucking Roach problem this one was like

[00:07:31] That's just what I'm gonna call whatever the snake things were You know, we have comms or anything You have what equipment you have on you now Mick were The the one of the officers and basically your superior She has a bolt gun and a knife and

[00:07:55] Singleton has what appears to be a motion tracker query perhaps it would be More expedient for us to have this conversation indoors Yeah, it suggests we enter the West Lock

[00:08:10] Yeah, I want to be out of this ones. Yeah, if you're face getting just basically whipped about it's actually hard to hear each other over Yeah immersive role play Morgan you could honestly go for a smoke Yeah, that sounds like a great idea

[00:08:32] Hullroyd was was was said that way and and fidgeting All right, so the But as you get to the door you punch in the code you hear the release of gas And just the slow Mechanical were grind as the door

[00:08:53] Rolls up and you again if anyone has their Maps open to the first level Which I actually suggest everyone opens their All three maps at least Okay, so we're on one right now

[00:09:09] Yes, you're in you're on level one if you go to the West Lock you'll see you're in the storage app this place is seems to be pretty dusty There's lockers Mesh frame lockers you see metal benches in the center There's the light here has turned red

[00:09:32] Which you guys know to be more of it's on emergency power There is a ladder to your right leading up to the hatch That puts you just you know level with the second level and Basically you

[00:09:50] Just hear the as you come in and the the door closes behind you you mostly can just deal here the whipping of the wind Outside um in front of you. Let me see You see a basically what appears to be a dimly lit hallway that

[00:10:08] Heads off to the right and a door and another room I Front of you this would be a seat the C1 block I see on the map that there's an intercom and an access terminal. Can I get access to it? Yeah Yeah, you would know about that so

[00:10:26] As you kind of head over there you start to hear a sound coming from the intercom You It's kind of staticky. It's a bit hard to hear but you're starting to make it out. It's like this Is a is an emergency message

[00:10:44] All colonists must immediately assemble at the main storeroom on Sublevel for safety This is an emergency message all colonists must assemble at storeroom sub level for safety and it just starts kind of Repeating this jarbald message Um

[00:11:08] Well, I guess can I I guess I'm gonna try to use the turn rule on try to I guess figure out what happened if See if I can get some better access or

[00:11:19] The facility yeah, all right. What are you looking for specifically just so I know um, I guess I Would like to just like I guess like try to think look up a log of like message log If anyone recorded what happened us we were gone

[00:11:59] Sigg kind of do this now. I want to remember you Sigg is basically bathed in sort of this red light All right, you have that motion sensor on you. I do not I do have a chronometer At this particular moment in time the time is now

[00:12:18] 7 p.m. Go better already I Think Horoid Is going to kind of walk kind of walk around where the doc is her scientist Yep, walk around. Yeah my bad. I'm getting my names back at Hersh is gonna walk around like do

[00:12:40] Maybe even if we're looking on the map If we're at the terminal right now Maybe walk walk down to the end of the hallway and kind of glance down to the

[00:12:52] Like there's a room across from it kind of maybe glance at that and look down the hallway just kind of cautiously It's there's no You know the the sirens going I mean the message repeating over and over again No, I'm not seeing activity. Uh, it's not like

[00:13:10] Blaring or anything. Yeah, well, it's not blaring. It's it's again a bit Um Soffin because of the static and one not Mr. Fridge, I do not recommend wandering away Oh, I'm just gonna I'm just scouting I'm just gonna keep around a corner

[00:13:31] So as you start to move away I'm in and don't worry. I'll get to Get to what you get Uh, uh, all of you suddenly hear just uh a scream Just you don't know where it's coming from it must be further in from inside this facility

[00:13:49] But it is the kind of scream that just echoes off the hall Um, the metal makes it travel all the way down to basically just everywhere, um It All you all kind of jump and then immediately afterwards a gunshot just rings um Everyone's stress level increased by one

[00:14:14] Okay, hello uh And Sig yes you Um Learn that someone did make a log here Uh in between um They first mentioned that some uh It was probably shortly after you left that something had begun to mess with the power in in various blocks um afterwards um The

[00:14:51] security team went out to go look for what had happened and they never came back and um Simpson was starting to ask for calm and then It seems to go dead um as you would say Probably 24 hours after you after they made the last log

[00:15:16] They make another log that says, um It seems to be a weird message of Bible kind of biblical prayer and You believe you can make out the words because it gets if the data is a bit jumbled um The the devils have come Uh okay What the fuck

[00:15:44] Now again, this is a terminal in here if you want to really get you would know specifically you want to get access to A lot of like probably what happens you want to head up to the second floor and e-block uh, which is where the uh Ops center

[00:16:01] Uh would be so if you were like, I gotta know exactly what happened Ops center would probably have more the cameras and data and everything. That's it Okay, well, um All of you also make good Dr. Sig

[00:16:15] I know that you are probably thinking of going to the operation center to figure out As you would say what the hell has just happened However, it appears that according to the message We are being instructed that we should probably go to storage

[00:16:30] I do believe that safety can be found in storage After we are safe then we can go to Find out what the hell has just happened There are active gun shops No, yeah, I heard um Well at least

[00:16:46] If yeah, I mean at least if I mean, I guess we should try to see if we can find anybody else So so I mean that probably would be the best spot Uh, if anyone's any anyone's still here

[00:17:01] I mean, I guess I'm sure maybe check out who that screen was maybe might need to help them That does sound Like the correct course of action. Yes I shall take point As as her she's already pointed down the hall

[00:17:34] Past the ladder to peek down The hallway. Okay. Yeah I think there's a room across from there and there is there is I'm going to need you to make me a um

[00:20:43] Because the parent never got to got around to giving it to them It's like a Sort of worn down tennie bear Yes, this will be most useful for fending off whatever it is that we are fighting against sarcasm program off Down the hallway we go. Okay, so

[00:21:03] I just want to know hirsh. Are you where are you going? Exactly, so I see you're at the corner and you look down the corner when you looked down it. You don't see anything um, you see The metal uh hallway you see um what appears to be

[00:21:18] Now you know this is where like the mode of commercial offices where corporates do their business um kind of stuff uh It really doesn't seem to be any kind of um Activity here or sign of life that you can at least peer or see

[00:21:37] um, you do see some um Sorry go ahead. I was gonna say I do have a weapon In my inventory. I do have like a cutting torch for what good that is So I kind of have it out

[00:21:51] But you know I've heard a scream and I haven't heard in a gunshot and I haven't heard anything else so I guess i'm going into kind of like an overwatch mode Like i'm waiting for everybody to get up there

[00:22:01] And I can see you all moving the tokens around on the map. By the way, I just can't you all can't I can't make you see the map For some reason no, I can actually

[00:22:10] I think it's I think the way that this is set up is that it's a like a line of so like we can only see it We only have like limited vision of yeah It's for some reason it's kind of attached that I'll figure it out

[00:22:22] But yeah, I can share my screen. I've gotten the map here too. Yeah I also have the map you can also use the directional Pad to move the to the token as well. Yeah, that's kind of cool Yeah, anyways, anyway, so

[00:22:36] Uh, you know, I'm gonna share my screen just so in case Okay, it's fine dude. I mean But yeah, so in what I want to do is I want to actually Voluntarily do another I guess awareness or observation check um For I mean it's a separate one for

[00:22:58] What are you looking for specifically for anything specific or you just kind of keeping your eye out? I'm keeping my eye out. I mean, I have no reason to look for any. I mean, there's apparently there's violence going on

[00:23:09] So like anything that as you move around you do see like one of the offices has been barricaded Uh, but that barricade seems to have been knocked down just by some sort of violent force You see chairs turned over other things just mashed

[00:23:25] Um, apparently there was a fight here. You just don't know where And that's in it. Is that in a specific room or is that probably in the one across from us? I'm sorry Yeah, it's in it. So I just I just shared my screen. You see these uh

[00:23:40] In this room where I'm in right now Uh, the no not in the room you're in right now. So I assume everyone's in the hallway

[00:23:47] Yeah, we're we I never walked in the room. I come in the hallway. Yeah, I see the room across from you and the room next to that one Yeah Like these two rooms

[00:23:58] You see kind of like that that struggle. Um now the big room seems to be more of a Interconnected kind of main office uh area I like chairs and shit thrown around and whatnot like again, this is where a hasty barricade was thrown up

[00:24:13] Um, but you don't when you kind of look in you don't see anybody What do you all think? Looks like things you things have gone bad Now I would do want to say you do know two things a you know reynolds office

[00:24:28] uh the wayland utani person is up above you and uh Stig you being the scientist and something of a doctor yourself Uh, you also know um that Kamiski the other uh wayland scientist has had taken over

[00:24:47] Part of your taken over it basically kicked you out of the you of the lab. Yeah, that's like the v&p too Okay, yeah, she fucking kicked you out of your own lab well, so section e seems like that probably be

[00:25:02] I mean, uh, that's that seems like that's probably where all the the main stuff is we should at least try to make our way there or At least we'll have a better idea of what the hell's happening Maybe

[00:27:01] slams from shoots out from the vents above you um and wraps itself around your uh Well, I actually rolled for this hold on. I mean like Are we instant killing me or do I get a chance to do? No, no, no

[00:27:20] You feel something wrap around your neck merely being being to choke you you're starting Oh, holy fuck Grab that aggressive scarf sick. All right, you see some kind of Fuck I don't know Long-tailed crab just begin strangling hallowed with its tail. Um, they're not all right

[00:27:43] Yeah, hush. Thank you. Sorry. We have too many hays. Um everyone. Um First off, uh Uh I need you to make me another panic roll Uh and everyone that's the single d6 and everyone's stress level up goes up by one now We're gonna enter initiative um

[00:30:19] It's it I literally didn't look up anything about drowning because I was like, they're in space. Why would they drown and then now fucking somebody? Okay In space All right, so here's what you're gonna do uh adam on a short turn

[00:30:32] You're basically going to make a stamina roll for every round This roll is not an action and is made during your turn before you perform your actions

[00:30:39] If you fail you suffer a point of damage if you are broken when uh drowning you must make a death roll each turn Uh, till you die or someone saves you from with a medical roll. Okay. Now it gets to go first. So

[00:30:53] I'm gonna make roll a d6 Now it's choking me to death not his action Nope I declare shenanigans I It's all good keep going uh So as it's uh choking you it's uh, it comes in with its weird little like long Weird creepy fingers and just

[00:31:16] Flams down on the back of your head Uh, it begins squeezing into it Um, I roll five dice With a base minimum damage of one um I fail Uh, it does not do any damage. She's like you kind of like start to wiggle

[00:31:40] Uh trying to get it off So I'm trying to force its way into your mouth Yeah, uh and you're gonna get a stress level Another yep. Okay. Well in yeah, this is not a wig holding on or is my wig that's starting to come loose

[00:31:57] Sure, sure. Yeah. Yeah your wig's starting to move around. It's like Yeah All right guys, you all gotta take another uh, you know stress level because it looks like it's scalping me right now All right, uh sake

[00:32:09] That bad wig is is probably the thing that's saving you because it can't get a good grip No, it's sick up because um Dig is up because we go from low to high low to high. So that's me. Um good good

[00:32:23] I guess I'm gonna try to just pry it try to pry it off of his head Like what if it sounds like a uh I'm gonna say a close close combat Uh Yeah

[00:32:38] Off of his head. I think he needs the head cuff ring most obviously the crab monster Are you trying to or is this a grapple check? I think it's heavy machinery Lots of heavy duty wig um No, uh, I guess yeah, I guess it'll basically just be a

[00:32:57] I don't know if it's necessarily a grapple. It's just gonna be like uh You could shove an opponent Uh away from him that could be done. I think maybe that that's kind of what you're trying to do

[00:33:08] I mean, I guess I guess basically what I'm gonna try to do is I only have like what two dice in it. That's not a Let's just see how well I do and I'll think you have a I got a success So

[00:33:21] Well, so we can you see you're hitting it basically Um, yeah, I need to know what you're doing before you roll. Okay. Sorry. Um I yeah, I guess I'm gonna try to grapple instead of grab it to

[00:33:36] Pull it up. Not that sounds like a grapple. Okay. Um, so you're gonna do a close combat check um As you know, you guys are like, uh Um, no drowning in grapple rules chills choking him. Um

[00:33:57] But at at this point I'm just like it's just like a crazy raccoon that's jumped out from event like nothing Nothing. Yeah, just a weird crab like raccoon. Yeah I mean you basically do the same action whatever you like uh, you get jumped by a surprise raccoon

[00:34:12] You just like try to throw it off your face But um, so yeah, you said roll close combat. Yeah Okay Uh, two sixes. This is a slow action All right, so That gives you a stunt as well Uh, you can deal

[00:34:35] One more damage you can trade initiative scores with them. So if you want you could be three next time Uh instead of instead of four um You can Knock the thing to the ground or as you say, uh

[00:34:53] Let's see. Uh, you hold your opponent in the grapple. They need to win an opposed close combat role Against you to break fee and you cannot perform any other action until they've done so or until you are broken Or let them go

[00:35:06] I'll see that that only works on humans and synthetics. So that's I think I will do I won't work but I will have tried to do that though in actuality

[00:35:15] I'm basically going to do a knock to the ground as I like try to grab it, but it's too regular and Weird that like I kind of drop it

[00:35:23] all right, um, that's your that's your uh, well you still have a fast action if you want to do something I guess I'm going to try to Step away from it or actually, uh, can I make a observation check because I have a The analysis talent as I

[00:35:39] Try to look at figure out how a weird alien creature works Is that a Sorry, it's a chance to study for at least one turn. So I think no, I'm trying to see is that uh

[00:37:12] Create more of these weird snake creatures that you've been hearing about if you you remember that that uh wildcatter Uh, that got sent out ago and he came back one of these things on his face

[00:37:24] You can you remember that and you're like, oh shit. Oh shit. It's it's a breeder. It's a breeder I know and how it works is it it must have to latch onto your face Uh, don't let it get on your face as I shout out Yeah

[00:37:40] God it didn't Uh, uh, hallowed you're up It's squirming on the ground looks like it's trying to write itself back up I'm going to put a boot onto the thing so that it is A mouth side up Basically, I'm gonna put a boot where the crab meets snake

[00:38:01] And just basically pin it then hold it So this is just going to keep flopping there All right, that sounds like a uh combat check Your close combat check sorry All right, um With a double six as I told uh TIG You have some abilities now Um

[00:38:27] Basically what you're doing is you're trying to keep this thing, uh, pinned down to the ground. Is there anything else you'd like to do? Uh with that extra success if you'd like to deal some damage would you like to um Trade initiative with it

[03:04:07] Also again, same me and like I also just kind of like mother ship is like a more general system Yeah, I just I just think that mother ship would be would be that kind of better setting

[03:04:19] Because the problem is when you tell someone let's play alien they are you've then like cemented to their mind There's gonna be an alien like that stuff and like it's that with a cinematic play

[03:04:30] That's fine with the one shot play or two shot play. That's fine. But if if you're gonna make a campaign My honest recommendation to anybody looking to make an alien quote unquote alien campaign Don't actually use the alien system

[03:04:44] I personally don't think it would be good to use Um, I think it's great for one shots. I don't personally see it as a way to run it in A campaign for more diversity use a different system I haven't played mother ship

[03:04:58] But I would honestly recommend it because I read through it or use Cyberpunk or something else just I have played I have played and run mother ship and what I would basically say and it

[03:05:09] I'm glad that there I'm much happier with the the recent addition that they've done of it because like it was It had very subpar rules for a while which um

[03:05:18] But like they've they've improved it a lot more and really what I would say with mother ship is that like mother ship is really It's really more of it feels a lot more like kind of a call of cthulhu

[03:05:29] It's just like kind of a reskin call of cthulhu in the sense of like it's a percentile diastral system and like Really the characters are about as Durable like hope cthulhu characters. They're not durable which is what you need for like a horror game, but oh, yeah

[03:05:45] Even the robot was extremely crunchy. Yeah Like one solid eight One solid roll from the monster and He or holroyd would have been dead The only reason why he lasted as long as he did is because ian was rolling for shit on those rolls

[03:06:03] Really rolling badly if I had rolled a six you would have been fucking dead. Oh, yeah Uh, I I literally sixes are just the kill shot like Like if I rolled

[03:06:16] Good, uh, but the other thing with mother ship though is that it's also so like the rules are simple enough And it's a modular that like honestly like you kind of

[03:06:25] Like it's not hard to like it's actually probably easier to like homebrew stuff and mother ship to be honest Like I said, I think percentile scores, but If the if the audience is still listening at this point or whatever, um I would recommend

[03:06:41] If you're looking for a very good system pickup And you want it to run one shots and you're looking for the horror theme go for alien It's really easy to pick up. I I read it in three day

[03:06:52] I read it in two to three days and I was able to pick up the bare basics and figure out, you know What needed to be rolled and What not so so it's pretty simple to understand. Yeah, um if you've played loops or forbidden land or But vessen

[03:07:11] Boston um for the oldest later in uh Year zero It's the same system. It works really well. I just wouldn't recommend it For a campaign, um I I don't know how it'll run for a campaign

[03:07:29] But I don't plan on running for a campaign because I just I don't feel the need to Um, it's a pickup cinematic thing that you would do like I mean, I think I think it has potential And there's lore to all this stuff and like

[03:07:42] But I don't want to like personally I don't have the heart to I mean, it's kind of a corporate, um Like Bash is kind of set up for the future there and there's like space russia and korea

[03:07:56] Uh that that you're going up again said, I mean you could do human combat and do things like that But I mean, that's not where my table Once to go in my opinion I think you know if you wanted to have fun with this

[03:08:08] There are other scenarios that I've seen written for us There's there's at least two like mini campaigns like there's a story of worlds and then there's um Like heart of darkness or something like that

[03:08:19] But there's also other ones and I can't remember the name of this. I've seen it guys, but It's like you're on a planet um Like at an underwater kind of base and then you encounter a different kind of xenomorph is not like the chest

[03:08:33] Elkin alien that's not the chest bursters and stuff like that I think those kind of like the thing kind of games you could do with it real well or I'd say something would be fun cloning marines sucked As a game

[03:08:47] But like if you're looking for if you want a long group form Kind of funnel for cloning marines because that's what just pick pick two or three set pieces out of it and then Yeah

[03:08:58] You know kind of thread together kind of an ending that you want because they basically go back down on You go check out that ship that took this clone marines there And then it ends up things blowing up because there's an alien infestation on it

[03:09:12] Then the marines end up back on lv Or 5 6 and I think it was like a partial reactor was exploded. So the planet's still there So, I mean, I think you could You know if you wanted something longer for me you wanted kind of a wrench repeat kind of

[03:09:27] Kind of gameplay for a session or two Tony you could fight as well You can fight the robots. Yeah that they their androids they send in I mean It's cool They're also got mercenaries just great mercenaries

[03:09:39] But I guess and this kind of goes back to what I heard ross and berg talk about on when rppr did a review of this, I mean And Ben's alluding to this with like me night new year zero, but mothership is like there's

[03:09:54] There's other systems that possibly do this better Or if you were wanting to do that's Yeah, I think I don't know if mothership entirely does it better It's just that I think it just doesn't have the baggage of of being part of the aliens franchise

[03:10:08] Really, you know, I would recommend if if you really wanted to though you could use this for um Inspiration or whatnot if you're looking for an already made setting But you don't want to you could use the

[03:10:21] Alien universe sort of is that that backdrop setting. Um, just don't tell your players It's the alien universe use certain names or whatever, but don't actually tell your players is the alien universe and just run it like if I really wanted to run a More

[03:10:36] dystopian version of firefly I could use this It's This isn't to say that I don't want to play this again. And I wouldn't be interested in doing You know destroyer worlds. I think honestly and this Is

[03:10:52] The simple fact guys and this is my final thought I don't want to keep you all here all night, but it seems like the The lethality of it all I think that uh, you got it as a GM. You got to be sparing

[03:11:06] A bit with um, and you I think you bounced everything pretty decently with it in I'm not saying Anything to the contrary. I think that You've got a even if um There's a lot of potential there. I think um

[03:11:21] It seemed like we were completely reactive the whole time I think that you need to kind of like space out combat just a little bit like, you know Give them the opportunity to do this at another it was um, you know I know that

[03:11:35] There's aliens that are all through that place that you could encounter and things like that like there's like a million ways we could have fucking died before we got to that ship Yeah Well, I was looking at time and we are we had we had spent an hour

[03:11:49] It's again, it's no particular view buddy It's yeah, I'm also I'm also wondering how like a marines game would play differently too because like these also weren't Combat sure. It's like right we weren't equipped. We weren't Like we're just kind of

[03:12:05] You were running around and trying to fucking find shit and like that's really fine if you had gone with a different route Um, like if you had decided to hacks for b

[03:12:15] Um, well, I was moving the aliens around so like at first if you tried to guess for b you would have encountered the scout uh, xenomorph

[03:12:37] Yeah, uh instead of going through the tanners casino, but that's fine The colonial marines book actually has a colonial marines kind of campaign But I think they also actually did like a novelization of the same scenario too

[03:15:46] Have a lot of fun with it. Like don't worry. Don't worry too much about it And I mean like it is basically like we basically did a dungeon crawl so More or less, he said the same thing. It was basically a dungeon crawl

[03:15:57] Yeah, which I think is fine for intro games, especially I mean, yeah, I I really enjoyed the I enjoyed the the holroyd fight for the alien was just Smashing him the fuck around. Oh, yeah, that was great. I expected holroyd to jump out the window

[03:16:13] I was thinking that that was going to be what happened after I got to a certain point But once he grappled me I couldn't break the grapple No, you couldn't uh But yeah, I just kicked the shit out of you just Uh

[03:16:34] Suggest or even on hitting with the axe the fact that it didn't make it through and it's like It had eight you succeeded. Congratulations. Axe is gone and embedded in wall. Well, shit Yeah
