[00:01:19] characters starting at the top of the discord list, which is I guess also alphabetical kind

[00:01:25] of as Arnie would have it if we were starting with me. Hi, I am Adam and I am reprising

[00:01:31] the role of Yohan Anderson. It occasionally goes by John but we pretty much have preferred

[00:01:38] to him from Yohan so just keep calling me Yohan. Anyway, I am playing the Hunter class and

[00:01:45] I mean important tidbits I think from session to session. I have a family. They're werewolves.

[00:03:31] to hit things. I've been hit a lot. I have lost my sanity a couple of times. So I have a few

[00:03:39] detrimental mental illnesses basically now because of all that. The fans, I may or may not

[00:06:59] young homeless person. So our homeless characters. I think there I think Lars is the vagabond?

[00:07:37] Right so one last we left off you guys were in the ruins of Brez. You went toe to toe with some

[00:07:45] some animated scarecrows Doritay had died. Doritay almost died again. I almost got one shot.

[00:07:53] Yeah you met a very nice ghoul. I did that's right. You found

[00:08:02] Soren's other like Soren's twin unfortunately six feet in the ground

[00:08:08] and missing all of his blood and his heart

[00:08:14] and something to do like that's had something to do with what bubble this yoga the witch of the swamp

[00:08:20] has been doing and I believe you guys. You missed the swamp pack. Yeah.

[00:08:31] You also met a older were Raven who was scouting around because the were Ravens of

[00:08:40] Barovia have lost a few of their kin to the swamp witch as well so you guys have kind of gotten

[00:08:49] like common ground through that and I believe she was leading you guys via a a raft. I think you

[00:08:58] guys made into the swamp to where bubble this yaga's hut or swamp hut live it exists yes so

[00:09:09] or dwells to be more old-timey so yeah I think that's where we left off last time was you guys were

[00:09:18] heading into the swamp deeper into the swamp looking for Lissiaga's hut so yeah as you guys are

[00:09:27] on this this raft oh Potonius was there as well with his occult magical

[00:09:36] magical carriage or cart and but he stayed over at the at the former Svens abode to help

[00:09:47] a potentially help the ghoul I believe his name is Tim but we named the ghoul

[00:09:57] there's something that called him Tim oh Ted his name is Ted yeah his name was actually

[00:10:06] Ted Ted the ghoul yeah you should be a cave or actually oh nice nice Ted the cave reference yeah

[00:10:20] but yeah no so I think you guys left Potonius like back at the apparez because he didn't want to

[00:10:25] leave his cart anywhere and yeah and I think he was gonna try and de ghoulify Ted

[00:10:34] so you'll find out about that if you when it went if we get back to beres but yeah so yeah

[00:10:45] I believe actually the the where raven that's leading you is actually a canonical character

[00:10:53] which is probably why I didn't think to actually like put her name down in our list of names

[00:10:58] it's like it's something you should know yes please hold that's fine uh

[00:11:04] Muriel Muriel Vinccia is the the way raven so yeah so Muriel is leading you guys in her raven form

[00:11:14] as you travel through the the drowned and waterlogged bog of the southern swamps and

[00:11:27] why don't who yeah who as you guys are are lowly kind of slowly paddling your way through the

[00:11:33] merc and such uh why don't you guys all roll me a vigilance now I have invested as much

[00:11:43] points as a human can in vigilance which is two that you do you are aware that you can like a

[00:11:54] pressure skills can my after well vigilance is also tied with um blood on logic and my logic is

[00:12:04] capped out it too I can't go up that I don't think oh you don't actually have any any points in

[00:12:09] vigilance no I have two points in vigilance so I'm wrong for I just can't but anyway

[00:13:34] now I've got two two okay what about Lars and Doritella I got one

[00:13:59] okay so it is soren that that sees or even hears it first actually I'll say I'll say all you guys kind

[00:14:11] of hear like shortly like as you guys are progressing through this swamp you start hearing this kind

[00:14:17] of like low quiet kind of distant um movement like whatever it is it's big um from from the sound

[00:14:27] that's as it's like kind of sloshing through them through the mud in the uh and the and the flooded

[00:14:35] underbrush of the swamp and such but soren you're the first to actually see it this this sort of dark

[00:14:41] silhouette between the trees uh and some some light some like yellow some very yellowed light uh

[00:14:49] like a pumpkin yellow kind of looking like like like a just through like the the trees and through the

[00:14:57] woods and uh as you get closer you all see this large large is not the word massive skull that

[00:15:08] is turned upside down and has been renovated into a house complete with age a um

[00:15:21] tiled roof and it looks like the the jaw has been turned into like a balcony area one of the

[00:15:28] eye sockets is a door um the other socket um as it's kind of like turning around and like moving

[00:15:34] or kind of moving around it's sort of like it's sort of just crawling around the swamp on these

[00:15:40] massive tree trunk size uh appendages made of uh made of vegetation so it's all moving yes yes it's

[00:15:49] it is the the large lumbering shape that you guys have been hearing oh so what you're saying is

[00:15:54] it's a mobile home yeah yeah it's a mobile home one could say perhaps from hell

[00:16:03] and uh I shared actually uh i can give you guys an image because i i decided to redraw

[00:16:11] her home because what i had in my head was not the actual was not what was in the the core book but

[00:16:17] i figured like you know what some things have changed over the last couple of years so uh

[00:16:22] yeah this is Bobbola Siagas uh new uh new uh new crisp swamp home or swamp swamp property um

[00:16:31] they just copy this image sorry you trying to say we need a bigger boat

[00:16:38] you might need a bigger boat um especially when i give when the fish since this image does have

[00:16:42] a size comparison for a person oh you did a scale i did so that's what you see in the uh

[00:16:52] no although i should have put a banana next to the person yeah you really should have

[00:16:56] yeah because i can't tell now yeah just the banana would be the size of the person's like help yeah

[00:17:04] just pictured that the guy's foot is uh is a banana that's about always got a banana

[00:17:10] that's banana foot yeah so yeah that's what you see kind of just like lumbering on six

[00:17:17] six uh treelay or like six viny treelays as it runs through the uh or as it as it slowly

[00:17:24] lumber through the swamp um yeah here's the molotovs

[00:17:34] yeah and as uh as you guys are see as you're coming within visual range um the wear raven flies back

[00:17:41] to your like raft and like how transforms uh silently into a like a puff of of uh of smoke

[00:17:48] and mist uh back into an into a sort of uh mid uh back into an into an older woman and she's like

[00:17:58] well yep that's the uh that's bubble the siaga's new layer

[00:18:04] and uh her old layer look like well from what i understand it was kind of similar except the skull

[00:18:13] was the skull's a new addition but once the those bardic adventurers a couple of years back dealt with

[00:18:18] uh or like uh tangoed with uh with baba she um sort of lost her house to a to a fire

[00:18:26] uh so she had to apparently some say that she found the uh a giant skull and some say that she

[00:18:34] killed a giant and took its skull or some people even say that she took her the skull that she

[00:18:39] already had as her motive of flight that you and what most of us are actually going to say is that

[00:18:47] let's up matter you ran out of ginger bread

[00:18:50] uh yeah a merriol just kind of like starts like trying to stifle laughter

[00:19:00] so i realized you're trying to scare children are you kind of a low bar there

[00:19:07] but i'm afraid i've seen it done better are you actually shouting that like making your presence known

[00:19:14] you might as well i mean she knows we're coming she saw us in the scarecrows

[00:19:20] oh okay yeah all right um it immediately as soon as you start shouting that merriol kind of like uh

[00:21:36] there are little islands of like mossy like hills that are like are peeking out of the water

[00:21:42] in such that you can hop up on yeah look let me deal with bubble mint the swamp roach over here

[00:21:49] you guys just keep on going it'll be fine you know what to do actually as you as you're kind of

[00:21:54] saying that uh you hear over your uh above you um in one of the trees oh she's she's she's just

[00:22:04] gonna hate you darlin um and uh you look up and you see one of the one of the night hags from

[00:22:16] the bone grinder uh the thin one like one of the daughters of the of the old of the elder

[00:22:23] night hagg that was at the bone grinder um in all of her like thin like rail thin

[00:22:30] purple skinned horned and like satyr-esque uh sort of glory um just kind of standing on one

[00:22:39] of the branches above you guys just smiling this horrible smile at you down at you and it's like

[00:22:47] oh bob is gonna just gonna have fun with uh we're just gonna have a whole lot of fun here with uh

[00:22:52] with you guys aren't we you know i'm surprised that you haven't run away yet

[00:23:06] well don't you need three hags to be strong against one of me didn't you learn that the first time

[00:24:18] like hand gestures and then there's just a torrent of cold wind coming down from the from the bottom

[00:24:24] right or from from the tree down to you so uh yeah

[00:24:29] yeah to do i guess they should actually have a dice roll there

[00:24:34] not going to lie when you said that she's up there doing hand gestures and then when it comes down

[00:24:38] i'm immediately envisioning like Naruto ninja two i kind of thought that myself like in my head

[00:24:45] i it's not okay cool but yeah

[00:24:50] all right so uh david uh or soren how do you do against that counter spell um

[00:24:59] well i think that five sixes is a pretty good start

[00:25:15] away from you uh and it actually like strikes the uh the tree that she's on like just a trunk

[00:25:21] like below her um and immediately freezes the entire tree like or like freezes that like a good

[00:25:28] chunk of the tree uh into ice but would you look that the sight to be hold

[00:25:35] i'm gonna counter some fire for your cold flip the knife the other way and slice

[00:25:43] okay basically send a torrent of fire right along that path of cold that she just threw at me

[00:25:49] all right

[00:26:26] uh so what is the fire do for like damn or what's that damage on that so like uh

[00:26:35] well i think it's just straight up two for the fire but it is fire which is whatever weaknesses

[00:26:41] is it wasn't fire what are the weaknesses on the hagg

[00:26:46] i don't put them in the oven that's why we pushed the one in the oven

[00:26:50] i think that was like actually part of like the ritual of how you killed them is not because

[00:26:54] they're weak to fire yeah yeah that's that's like it was more of like

[00:26:59] you you do recall that like the ritual to like uh from one of the books was like a night hagg

[00:27:05] getting pushed into her own cauldron or oven would that's right yeah so we need a cook and pot

[00:27:12] yeah we need a cook and pot but that's still uh two damage plus one from the other so

[00:27:22] well no so yeah so because like the fire remember correctly for like the fire

[00:27:28] every extra success increases the intensity of the fire by one step so basically increasing the damage

[00:27:33] mm-hmm so and she rolled she got one like to stop it um so

[00:27:43] would be i don't know how many of three net successes one success gives you plus two damage in the extra

[00:27:49] two give you two more damage so it's four fire that's right yeah

[00:27:54] and i did roll for her uh her natural art for her armor or for basically effectively her protection

[00:28:02] uh roll and she got one so she took three from that totally um so she got burned pretty badly

[00:28:11] uh she shrieks out like uh yeah shrieks out like an ungodly like hourly heat and then um just kind of

[00:28:20] blast oh blasts off from that uh from that branch in a fit of of angry smoke back to the hut

[00:28:28] um so uh yeah what do you guys want to do i think we're kind of going into initiatives honestly at this point

[00:28:37] all right so we're gonna row a d6 to decide these things

[00:31:05] yeah so what do you guys want to do is they you they know you're coming so and you you fought

[00:31:11] you fired the first of all basically

[00:31:15] but you're also still a little ways away from the uh you're like long distance so like

[00:31:21] probably like 120 feet away from the uh from the from the hot in the uh that's that's still sitting

[00:31:28] in this like flooded flooded uh uh flooded forest basically or flooded swamp area okay so uh

[00:31:37] here's the plan as far as i understood it um i am going to just draw all of the iron

[00:31:44] all of the attention from the witches and just keep slapping their spells aside and getting them

[00:31:49] matter and matter well y'all fire bomb it if they're staring at the old man standing on the humic

[00:31:55] just loop around and you know go bug house on the bug house oh you have fire bombs you have one

[00:32:03] two yeah you have two uh um Moltov cocktails eat or total hmm eat or total i total yeah yeah

[00:32:16] well i guess what i need to do is i'm going to try to sneak uh through the brush yeah i was i was

[00:32:25] going to say yeah so you could you could um there isn't a lot of land like there's a lot of water

[00:32:31] around this creek this this this hut there's not a lot of like little islands around the hut it seems

[00:32:35] like it's it's positioned itself into a clearing that's like surrounded so you guys would either

[00:32:39] have to take the raft near it or you'll have to maybe wait through the water and and uh

[00:32:46] you don't know it's pretty it's uh pretty brackish so you'd have to like test it

[00:32:53] it's also i should also say it's like night time as you guys are doing this so like

[00:32:58] visibility like there's the whatever lights coming off of that creature the through the windows

[00:33:03] of that giant skull thing um and a full moon or any uh and a not full moon but a pretty bright moon above

[00:33:11] in the uh that's peeking through the canopy so it would just wait for it to come toward us

[00:33:19] well it has it moved that's the thing

[00:33:25] but it theoretically could so yes you could wait you could wait not yeah

[00:33:32] depends on how comfortable you are with your stealth or role yeah i don't mind um

[00:33:38] um well so we're floating around on a raft yeah you're currently floating on left and uh

[00:33:45] soren is on one of the little islands like on the out like kind of on the um the outlier of the

[00:33:50] this clearing well i mean maybe i could like we let's try to take the boat a little closer and

[00:33:58] try to stealth it okay um there's like a couple of like like large stumps and like

[00:34:06] there are some trees in and there and like but they're pretty scattered um like again this thing is

[00:34:12] like it's basically like 120 foot like or 20 foot diameter clearing that it is like situated

[00:34:19] self into okay so when soren started yelling at uh at the witch i did say okay i'm gonna hide behind

[00:34:26] a tree but i don't know if there's actually any trees nearby for me to do so if you had you would

[00:34:31] have had to have hopped off the uh the raft and not until onto like one little islands that

[00:34:35] it aren't in the clearing your armor yes yeah in your armor in a swamp

[00:34:43] or crack no

[00:34:50] so uh but yeah if you guys want to try and take the raft like closer and like

[00:34:55] while soren is is trying to bait the uh the witches and such um you got whoever basically whoever

[00:35:03] was paddling uh the the raft could roll a stealth test they were trying to and have let the others

[00:35:09] assist me or why can they be watching out yeah you guys could um if you're if you're helping

[00:35:16] in some way um to uh to maneuver the raft stealthily like uh i would let you have extra dice

[00:35:24] based off of the people that are helping a Josh are you and they cool with that yeah yeah

[00:35:32] okay so i'm going to row and actually um as well before you roll uh uh um soren you are

[00:35:41] gloating and like baiting and such like that right uh yes roll manipulation to uh

[00:35:48] uh for the first like basically the first like kind of uh volley of of insults and stuff with that

[00:35:58] or the or the second volley i guess of uh of insults and such to potentially give your friends a

[00:36:04] some kind of a bonus okay so just so you know i am rolling eight dice on this i've got an empathy of

[00:36:12] three and i've got manipulation at five i've been dropping points into this almost like i've been

[00:36:19] lying my ass off about something yeah weird strange how that works vicious mockery your short and
