[00:02:11] Yeah, so yeah Who who was the players and who are their characters starting at the top of the list? I Assume that would be me since my name's Adam But I mean it could be player characters who know but as far as player characters go

[00:33:06] Cook something like cook like a put a pan over it or like a Or like a little grill or there's like a little like Cauldron kind of thing for stews and such so you have a lot of kitchen. I'd probably make this stew. Okay

[00:33:20] There are also price and vegetables and stuff of that that have not gone Propocation let's make this not just me. Yeah, you check her lauder and Is it larder or lauder larder? Yeah, you check her larder and there's not

[00:33:34] There are some veggies and root vegetables and stuff that haven't gone bad from from somebody going missing so You managed to like cut those the freshest stuff up and make a nice stew so yeah Soren as you as you come arrive into into

[00:33:53] Back inside after treating the last person you smell a very aromatic Scent kind of forming in the in the building Ah good that smells amazing. What did you do to the rabbit? What do you mean? What did I do was all Yeager?

[00:35:09] You could talk this whole time God Yeah, you guys sit down and enjoy some nice lunch Or like a brunch sort of thing because it's like about late. It's a late morning early afternoon By the time everything gets dealt with in second breakfast. Yeah second breakfast

[00:35:34] And about that point Back over at the road outside of town The missed deposit Johann and Dorothea Oh, well then so it did deposit us back. Yep Yep, of course because that's the way to miss work until they don't

[00:35:59] Yeah, you you vaguely just you vaguely see as it's as it's departing and dissipating you vaguely say The mist just give me a middle finger Shape for the mist to take as it's just kind of coils up almost but then stops to make a straight vertical like formation

[00:36:19] And it's But you see like the remains of a camp of a campsite and Some some footpath or some some recent foot tracks that go Back to town

[00:36:35] You also see a bunch of wolf tracks kind of all around the the ground and going up back up into the woods Okay, well looks like they got tired of waiting and And a handy trail of rabbit There's also viscera like some some rotting viscera on the way

[00:36:59] Yep Thank You David Look like breadcrumbs only a little bit more bloody Like any original Yeah Oh, well Johann looks for lordly in a direction of the footprints that they went And size and claps

[00:37:33] Or tail on the back we've got to save them from themselves. Do we even know that anything's wrong with us? You know, I just looks at her it's like really Not to take your character away from you there It's large man, of course I

[00:38:05] All right, so you guys Walk up to the the gates and again the guards open up the gates like sorry sirs you'll have to or sir madam you'll have to touch the

[00:38:16] Touch the horseshoe and you see that like one of the horseshoes is has some like dried blood on it Suspicious as anything happens Oh, oh, sorry, yeah that somebody that's not someone early I think one of your friends from earlier

[00:38:34] They had a lot of blood on their hands from no big for some rabbit. Oh No, I think they would they were de-gut in some rabbits. Okay

[00:38:44] I mean who here am I just don't have a little blood on their hands taps with this finger and walks on in Yep, yeah, you guys tap it doesn't it's all good and you head into town

[00:38:59] And it's like I said earlier though you you guys notice it is so it looks like By the cool by look of the daytime like the light and stuff It's probably about midday or like or like early afternoon midday as you've wandered into town Okay, so

[00:39:22] Yeah, you guys Where are you guys going because you don't technically know that they're at door tether Door tether's doubles clinic. It's technically mine right now. So yeah Or sorry, it'll be anywhere. Yeah, so we could stop by the The pub and see if they've seen them

[00:39:49] The pub that you've never been to Sounds like a good time to get breakfast Yeah, okay Yes, true. So you guys are going to the the blue water in All right

[00:40:04] Well, you so you head over to the to the the center of town where the blue water in sits and you see The following description Gray smoke issues from the chimney of this large two-story wooden building with a stone foundation and

[00:40:21] Sagging tile roof upon which several ravens have perched a pair of a painted wooden sign Hanging above the main entrance depicts a blue waterfall So yeah, there's a bunch of crow a bunch of a bunch of ravens looking down at you guys as

[00:40:40] You approach this this building it seems to be the only you got like looking around it's like Building is like the only one that these birds have been perching on all your entire time you've been in in in the lockie

[00:40:53] In the amount of times we've seen like ravens just staring at us. It's getting pretty normal at this point fair I've seen stranger Yep Say you you wander inside and The Well, yo Han roll me a fear check We're about to get a

[00:41:26] Asement sure when nature calls scene What is lovely room of death? Hmm hold on fear Am I really scared though, I mean disgust but okay, I'll go with you. I'll play Or It's empathy plus Empathy plus watch we never know pin that day, but I did

[00:42:51] The tavern is packed with tables and chairs with narrow paths meandering between them a bar stretches along one wall Under a balcony that can be reached by a wooden staircase that hugs the north wall another balcony overhangs the

[00:43:08] Overhangs an entrance to the east all the windows are fitted with thick shutters and crossbars lanterns hanging above the bar and Resting on the tables bathe the room in dull orange light and cast shadows upon the walls Most of which are adorned with wolf heads

[00:43:28] mounted to wooden plaques Amidst those also are the heads and the heads of various other creatures Not unlike the marrow that you guys have faced as well So yeah, what a lovely room of death you have here Seems a bit excessive honestly

[00:43:49] in the in currently in the occupying the the tavern there are two gruff looking men in in pelts and It looks like they have next to their table Quivers and bows and and some blades As they are drinking from tankards and scared the equivalent and and eating

[00:44:12] plates of fresh meat They kind of just like give you guys a side glance as you walk in at the Or at the actual like bar itself The there's a couple

[00:44:27] One is or kind of just coming out come going back into the other kitchen is the is a man a bigger man with black hair and gray streaks on his through his hair and also like kind of Striping his almost making his beard look like a skunk pelt

[00:44:47] and the woman who's Taking care of the of like some of the some of the operations of the the bar itself she too has black hair done up in a in a bun in the back with Raven feathers on her that kind of like

[00:45:06] Poke out of the the bun and her she also has a large streak of gray and white that kind of just goes right down the middle Down the top of her head and into the bun What side of the bar top are they on they're on the the

[00:45:29] They're they're clear that they are the like the the employees or the the own the proprietors They're on the Dortay and elbow Do the head nod toward there and walk up Are you going are you all the fine owners of this? Kind of looks around looking forward

[01:24:11] manufactured like uh like from a factory or anything that they're clearly like Homemade but they're like there's several of them that are like fine that are handcrafted um some of them are Very nice and very jovial and light-hearted There's certainly several like

[01:24:28] uh several areas uh several sections where there's just like costumes and masks of various creatures and like or caricatures of various beasties and monsters of borovia um There are some uh some raven masks like almost like the masquerade raven masks

[01:24:45] So like a sort of just like a a masquerade mask with like a a beak that goes out And some feathered cloaks um to match Uh, but there are also a bunch of other really weird and creepy toys. Uh such as

[01:25:01] um a headless doll that comes with a sack of attachable heads Including one with its eye and eyes and mouth stitched shut Um, there's also a miniature gallows complete with a trapdoor and a weighted hanged man There is a small

[01:25:19] There's a set of uh wooden nesting dolls though. You don't know what it um like what the smaller things are um, it seems to be some kind of um

[01:25:31] Uh some kind of uh for the for you guys you guys could roll like a learning test if you want to try and make heads or tails of What the design is I definitely will Do do do do

[01:25:47] Like I know creepy toy shop when I hear it, but I kind of want to know that's three sixes Okay, um, you actually kind of saw something similar on your way through um the london Uh train station. Uh, there was a um a uh

[01:26:26] Uh with hanging bats and uh, they even have the bats even have like little mechanisms for flapping wings And adorable the You're not entirely sure if the body of the bats are taxidermed A lovely set of things and is this pickpence model over here? Yes

[01:26:49] Yes, you see some portraits uh as well and uh or some you know, you see some sculptures of uh of ghouls and goblins Um, you also see a wind-up musical merry-go-round with a figure with figures of snarling wolves chasing children in place of prancing horses

[02:02:38] Um, but uh and it seems that the the the tavern itself is even at this late of night Around 11 o'clock um There are a few more people than there were this morning for uh d'Ortea and and yoan, but as you enter um

[02:02:56] People kind of give you guys glances, but then kind of continue back on their business and it's uh, and you see um Uh The the lady of the tavern. I cannot remember her name I don't even know if I gave you the name earlier

[02:03:10] Or you didn't I am terrible at sieving Um, what is a word terrible at role playing because we probably should ask her name. What is this character's name? Ah, don't even like her name is danica and her her husband is urwin

[02:03:29] um, yeah danica comes up to you. It's like I um Yes, uh, you'll you'll want to go to the uh upstairs. Um um To the the the last uh Uh, hang on as I pull up the a map of the house of the of the building. Um

[02:03:47] Uh go up these stairs and then at the very end uh the the door at the very end of the the balcony Uh, here is the key and she she hands you a key that has like a uh a raven kind of um

[02:04:03] Imblem on the top of it. Um Kind of like the wings spread out and like kind of creating almost like a crest of sorts Um, and she kind of just like whisks you up the stairs As discreetly as possible

[02:04:20] Um, and yeah, you guys get upstairs or go up that way. Um And uh you uh, I also will say uh for uh, uh, yo han you notice that the mur the marrow Um heads are gone and a couple of the wolf heads are gone

[02:04:38] But some of them that are more uh like the basically ones that would like one or two of them are still all up because uh mostly They kind of look like they're in positions of like

[02:04:48] Well, I don't have anything to put up here right now and they they just really work for the the space Where they are really ties the room together Yeah, like right above like the the mantle basically above the mantle piece of the on the fire and like

[02:05:03] And such um, you do see that the the two hunt the two wolf hunters are also They're in a different table, but they're eating and drinking and stuff of that They look a little embittered, but they're like they're they're keeping to themselves and such Okay

[02:05:19] Are they wearing bird masks too? No. No, no, they're not They don't and they they just like they don't even know like they don't seem to recognize you either because you're Not in like because you're you you're decked out as cloaked bird feathered or bird bird beat

[02:05:34] People so okay seems like this is a common thing that happens in the tavern at night Oh, okay and You walk up the the stairs and to the down the along the balcony To the the end room

[02:05:53] You open the door with the key and you find yourself in a bedroom like a like a large kind of comfortable looking um bedroom suite of sorts Is this going to be one of those magnolia parties? No

[02:08:33] The uh, there's some gold filigree or like some gold um gold writing on the red journal um below the mirror like on the desk Um that kind of catches the light uh and it says, um

[02:08:45] Uh rick tovio and uh, I believe your your cousins would have probably told you about the letter that you guys got in the invitation so Yeah, uh, this is that rick tovio was the rick tovio suite. Uh, supposedly you're supposed to be meet in

[02:09:01] So this is clearly the place where we're supposed to be Hmm. I'll look through the book Okay, I'm nosy. Uh, yeah, it's a No, no, um As you open it up, it appears to be a series of um, uh, like journal entries about various oddities. Um

[02:09:24] That this this person named rick tovio appeared to have Discovered on his and his travels. Um some things like a wear hair Uh child a boy who transformed into a rabbit one night on the full moon Uh something a a half orc woman named

[02:09:42] Gora bacha who could chew through iron chains um a giant man eating plant That had the most remarkable singing voice Um a pair of conjoined goblins um And a small man with no legs named philmore stunk Uh who could drink whole casks of wine without getting drunk

[02:10:08] Um, and then as you're reading you get more and more of these kind of like things Um, and then you get to the very end and you realize actually as you were flipping the

[02:10:17] The the the journal appears to be stuck to the to the table itself and as you um As you get to the very last pages Um underneath, uh, you see it's almost like there's like a there's a The the back cover

[02:10:34] At the very end of the the the journal Um has been it's attached to the it's it's connected to the to the desk and there's a hole In the the middle of the center of the uh the the back, uh cover and into the the desk

[02:10:48] Where there's a little mechanism like a little lever I'll stick my hand in the hole. I guess Okay, uh your hand is lopped off by a by a shearing mechanism now Um No, you you pull the lever you you pull the small lever

[02:11:04] It's like basically like enough small enough that you could like fit it just like like flick it open like flick it to the other side um and You guys all hear a clicking sound like a soft clicking sound from the wardrobe that is

[02:11:18] um on the other side of the room near the uh kind of on the Left side of the the the door you guys just came in like a large like that large tall, uh wardrobe Uh, there's a soft clicking from within it

[02:11:31] And the the door slowly softly opens up and you see that there is uh another door inside of the wardrobe That goes to another high hallway that it that that is not the uh, not the balcony But it's like parallel to the balcony

[02:11:46] On the other side of the wall Through the door Why don't I go first? Did the door lock no no it's it's uh like this the door the door in the wardrobe opened up as well

[02:12:04] Okay. Yeah, so you you look inside or you take a take a look inside you see like uh, there are some um Not torches, but there's some like some lamps that have been like strung up with that are that are uh, that are also lit

[02:12:16] That go down a hallway Um well I would ask who wants to go down the creepy dark hallway first, but that's going to be me All right, you're more than welcome to cousin

[02:12:31] Imagine you just like padded about it. I'm on the back. I think you're more than welcome um, all right, so you uh Yeah, you uh go to the uh You follow the uh this this door and or follow this to this hallway and uh

[02:12:53] It goes up. Uh, it turns it turns a corner like following the the edge of the the building And um it then turns into turns a corner to a stairwell that goes up so um and as you, um

[02:13:12] Ascend the stairs. Um, there is it seems like it's one of those like sort of like, uh Uh, the the side's the door like a like a horizontal door that you have to open up to get up to uh to get up onto like the next platform

[02:13:24] So trapper like the other side. Yeah, it's kind of like or it's kind of like a storm like the the storm uh uh Like a storm cellar have door. Yeah, it's on the ceiling above us. Yes. Yeah And it is also unlocked. Um

[02:13:44] So you guys um open uh open it up and uh, you find yourselves in a small terraced. Um kind of uh It's it's it seems like this is right in the middle of the the roof of the um

[02:14:00] Of the tavern, but there's just like a little like kind of Uh glant or like a sort of like patty-o'd enclosure in the center of the the roof Like the roof like from from the from the street. It looks like the roof is steepled to a degree

[02:14:16] But you see that a part of like basically like wherever the attic was like they've cut out like a chunk of the attic's like roof and turned it made this like sort of like, uh this sort of tiled um terrace or like this sort of tiled um like

[02:14:30] uh alcove or or um like open air area And there's various seats and such here like metal like wrought iron seats and such and every rooftop core like all the corner all the the corners of this of this little opening in the roof are Just covered in ravens

[02:14:52] Of course there Um, well that's so raven yeah and as you guys are up there like kind of Probably trying to figure out what the heck's going on and such A few ravens fly up from above from the other side of the the tavern

[02:15:08] uh to meet uh to kind of like um to uh to to meet you guys and within a puff of smoke and and sparkling um like energy um They transform into uh lady, uh lady lady lord and lady um Fuck I can't remember his name

[02:15:32] The the couple that were that run the shop um Lord lady martica lord and lady martica of uh urwin in danica um and uh for um Sorin you see uh your the the the ravens that you've been like kind of

[02:15:52] um in contact with the one with the the injured uh wobbling that uh wobbling with an injured um Wing and such and another one And uh they they then fly down to the to the uh to the the ground of the floor of this this opening area

[02:16:10] and transform like their parents into the kids The one with the injured wing would be broad Uh bray actually Um bray was the one that was uh the that was the that had the crutches uh which Um

[02:16:31] He's uh brawn actually kind of runs past you guys and grabs a pair of crutches that were in the corner And and then rushes back to his brother We're a good guy. Yeah Well, it appears and this is uh

[02:16:48] Irwin begins speaking it's like well, it uh appears that uh a valiant gooddoers have Finally been invited to our little a little masquerade I'm going to just very calmly take the mask off and say, you know, I believe we could probably dispense with this. Yes Yes. Yes. Yeah

[02:24:05] We while we do not know why they that it appears to be that you all had twins uh and granny not only took them but Made you made you and your families forget that they existed Um

[02:24:28] I am a pretty good sense of character. I don't believe she would have done this any with any sort of malicious and intent and she always seemed like she It was a great heartache that she did what she did But she may

[02:24:45] It always seemed like she had a reason But only she knows that reason I assume Unfortunately, yes. She she would never have divulged. She has never divulged that much information to us Um our our people the the where ravens and the keeper of the feather

[02:25:04] We sort of see ourselves as the Uh, a long ago. We saw ourselves as the last bastion of of hope for the the lands of Barovia and and the Ravenloft even These Barovia is just one realm within the mists um that is sort of a

[02:25:24] It is a prison for great evils Or these these lands are prisons for great evils, but they are also influenced by the prisoners Hence the evils and corruption So what you're saying is that this area that we were in was nothing but an elaborate prison for say

[02:25:44] The vampire strod Yes, this Barov the valley of Barovia or the valleys of Barovia specifically Are were were created to house strad and his his evils Now that he has gone his evils remain Which is why the prison still continues to exist That is difficult, um to

[02:26:12] From what we know Strod doesn't stay dead when he is defeated, but he has been defeated multiple times over the course of What we believe what we have speculated to be a sort of cycle Um

[02:26:30] Every so often his his hubris, I suppose will get the better of him and he will Bring in he has the he cannot leave Barovia. He cannot leave Barovia or Ray or the mists of Ravenloft But he can pull people in or lure people from other places here

[02:26:48] And it appears that that is a sort of Uh, sort of his penance or his torture while he is here in this personal hell or prison that he finds himself in His hubris always gets the better of him. He brings people brings

[02:27:04] adventurers or or groups of of stalwart people or people of destiny in Or lures has his minions and servitors lure them in and they inadvertently With with the occasional, um failure Most of the time they they end up being his downfall and he

[02:27:26] Remains dead, but from what some ancient records we've been able to uncover Form this this situation it isn't always it isn't a it isn't a It doesn't stay the same. It doesn't he doesn't stay dead something happens and He is resurrected or he rises after a few centuries

[02:27:48] of of peace and quiet Only to reign over the valleys again and start his terror anew um We have sort of been blessed slash blessed and cursed uh as a Uh as a beacon of hope and good in these lands

[02:28:09] To try and we are people the were ravens seem to be able to withstand corruption from his taint and the other evils that lurk beyond the mists

[02:28:22] But uh, we are a small number even though we it may seem that we had a large number here earlier the a murder in fact Uh or an unkindness in fact, I love that name is very unfitting. Um

[02:28:54] believing the worst in something Which is berovia. Unfortunately berovia is a prison, but it is also at the whim when when the prisoner is active um, so we try to mitigate the collateral or try to try to Do what we can

[02:29:19] With what resources we have we said we simply just to have no we don't have the numbers or the The the power that some people some some outsiders tend to have to to do anything meaningful about it things But we small small miracles if you will

[02:29:37] That's one of the reasons why and adanak actually starts talking. It's one of those small miracles is why Your your your um your mates uh Pack is the way they are we weren't able to teach them We were able to foster

[02:29:56] The light within them when they were of the corrupted vicious wolves And bring them back and and give them teach them the ways how we transform rather than the the evil ways of the of of strahd's packs
