[00:00:31] Hi, welcome to One Less Die, a Star Wars Worlds actual pay podcast. We are continuing the one-off adventures of the Star Wars... What do we call it? I don't think there was one. We were going ChocoFox last time. I think it was the ChocoFox, yeah. I'm stuck on the continuing one-off. Yeah, well, because there's sort of a plot going on, but it's really just from session to session.

But yeah, so we're playing our Star Wars Homeward one-shot campaign. And let's start with introducing characters, starting on my left. Oh, shit. I like how I looked at Dave like, oh. What are you waiting for?

[00:01:29] This is like, starting on my left. You did start by looking at me. Yeah. I am Doug the Doug, and I'm a bounty hunter. And what else can I say? I think you're Mando Fountain. I am, yes, 100%. I totally forgot about that. I am Mando. And you got a lightsaber last time? I have Darth Vader's lightsaber. How did you get that? I don't remember.

[00:01:56] It was from the weird asteroid in the Alderaan system that had a bunch of weird force situation going on. It was almost like weird physical hallucinations that were actually manifesting. Yes, yes. I remember. Yeah. And then you also met the force ghost of your father. Oh, I did! Yeah! You found out what happened to your dad. Your dad died on the ground. Yes! That was awesome. Yeah, Dick the Doug. That was super cool.

[00:02:26] And then you also met the force ghost of Sterling's dad. He he he! I defy you! He he he! I can't remember his actual name for the game. That guy has to be in every game, apparently. He has to be. Hang on, where is that guy's name? I actually gave him a name.

[00:02:44] Uh... Dick Kickerson, the Toydarian Scrap Runner. Jeez! I forgot about that. Oh, that's good. Oh, man, my head hurts. Oh, that's a good one. Hang on, here we go. Which one almost came off of that?

Mm-hmm. It's okay. We keep those inner demons in check by letting them go. Fucking fly boys. Also, I should point out this is five years after the Battle of Endor. So... The Empire is kind of in trouble. This is basically around the same timeline as like a little bit like ahead of... You're in Mando time. Mando timeline, basically. So, you could start with season one. Yeah.

[00:06:05] Uh, and then next up we have, uh, Aaron. Hi, I'm, uh, Sterling O'Haro. Hi, Sterling. I'm a, uh, a green leppy. Great! A rabbit man. You are a bunny man. I am Bucky O'Hare. Sterling! Captain Sterling O'Hare. Um, I am a, uh, a Jedi Guardian. Uh, I got a crap load of lightsabers. Do you? Quantity over quality.

[00:06:35] Do you use Merc General Grievous? Something like that. Quantity is a quality in itself. I think you also have like old Stormtrooper or, uh, Clone Trooper. I do. I have, uh, I have old, uh, uh, uh, Clone Wars era Jedi armor. Um... Also, I have written down S91 Pegasus Starfighter. Yeah, cause you guys all kind of, the game kind of like graciously gives off like most of the playbooks like a Starfighter or a Shepty.

[00:07:04] And a Gauntlet, Gauntlet class Starfighter. Okay, well remember cause we're using, uh, Xan... Shane's old carrier Xanatos has that giant, has basically an old like carrier. Cause he's attacking, he's basically, uh, he's basically the RTS playbook. Yeah. We forget, we gotta get Shane back up here. I talked to him like, uh, maybe a month ago. How's he doing? He's good, it's just, he's uh, I guess he's just really working and dealing with family.

[00:07:34] We'll get him back up. That's just life. Yeah. That's just life. That's why you guys have so many ships. Too busy playing football, huh? Hmm? You have a Gauntlet? [00:08:03] She is a, uh, a Gungan, uh, Sentinel. Uh, she goes by the name Fukias, um, like, as a cover name, and she basically acts like an idiot. Uh, uh... And makes that with Mark when she's drunk. That, uh, that happened one time. I banked him. Just one time. It's okay, Dave. It's okay. Don't touch me. Had to make sure those are home. Unless we're drinking, and then it's okay. Okay, Dave. [00:09:00] She doesn't look like a Jedi. Uh, she has a blaster, but the blaster, like, it's a... I, one of the choices is, like, choosing your weapon. I picked Mastercrafted and basically made it so... It's a stun pistol, but, like, you can, like, unlock the slide, click it forward and snap it down, and then, like, the lightsaber comes out of the handle of the light of the, uh, pistol. Yeah, it's, like, a different version of, like, what Ezra's does. I mean, it's a different version of that, but it's, it's closer akin to the, uh, the

[00:09:29] blasters that the Power Rangers had. Yes. Yeah. 100%. Yeah. Because they're, like, transforming. Because they transform. Yeah, because Ezra's was basically just always the same thing. It's just blaster or press another button and it's lightsaber. Yeah. Yeah. So, did you get your Force sensitivity from your, uh, your evil uncle Jar Jar, who was the Sith? Yes. No, I gave it to him after he made it with that Brontine. Goddamn. No. Yeah. Just give him the Mid-Thorian. I went right after that dark side. No. Josh.

[00:12:25] On your advancement, you can actually take one of the Force abilities. If you want. Just letting me know, moving forward, like... If you want to advance and actually have your character become Force-sensitive, basically that book will kind of align the Force for that. Do we have empties of them so I can see? Yeah, here's a couple. Yeah. That's the Consular. I want to know if I can become Force-sensitive as a Starfighter pilot. I think anyone basically can. This is Star Wars. Basically, yeah. With my help, I think they've become a great one. O'Haro damaged my starship and I still haven't forgiven him for it.

[00:13:49] I don't know why, but Duggan settles me. It's the... Maybe just because he's a Dug. Maybe you're just a Dugman doing what he's a tutorial. I've also been thick and thin with Fox. I trust them. Do you have two for Fox? Yes, because that was kind of... You weren't here at the time, but we can change that. And then Fugyoss and I made out before. Nothing came of it, but it's cool. And I love exchanging jokes with everyone. Okay. Alright. So, um...

[00:14:20] After the last thing that you guys dealt with, which was I think Life Day Land, that weird creepy space station. The Chuck E. Cheese in space. Yes. With the droids that had like... Slosbury. Try and become like Force-sensitive or something. I don't know, you burnt that out. You threw a thermal detonator into that Sith Alchemist lab, so... I'm sure that's not going to come biting somebody's ass. Good call. Looks over to Josh. What are you talking about? Alright.

[00:14:50] Um, so yeah, it's been a couple of days while you guys have been traveling through space on your various... Probably on the cruiser and stuff like that. And, uh, Sterling. You, uh, wake up in the middle of your sleeping cycle. And, uh, there's a glowing figure in your room... I'm not alone, but thank you. Let me be true. Let me be true. Let me be true. Uh, it's an old man. Force-ghosted. And he's like... He he he! Oh, young Sterling!

[00:15:19] Wait, you gotta get to Dagobah! You must go to Dagobah! You gotta stop it! You gotta stop it! And as he's like trying to like... Kinda getting more and more frantic, um... His, his, uh... His appearance becomes more staticky and begins like fading away. Like, and you just hear like... Just like... It kind of just like echoes often to like nothingness. He's like, Get to Dagobah! Stop the... Stop the weirdness! Stop the weirdness! Well, thank God the weirdness had just finally stopped.

[00:15:50] Go back to bed. Um, do you still have that... Do you have that, uh, yellow holocron that you found, uh, in the Elderon system, uh, in your room? Uh, if I still own it, then yeah. I'm assuming so. Okay, well, whatever it is, probably not show up or something. It's... It was, uh... You realize after your, your father's apparition fades away, Uh, you look around and like the only other illumination in your room at this point is

[00:16:15] the, uh, the yellow holocron, um, uh, was, is briefly active, uh, active before it deactivates. And stops glowing yellow. Is it a square or a triangle? Uh, it's a, uh, it's a, um, hexahedron. I would ask. It was a very weird... It wasn't like a, a Jedi one. It wasn't a Sith kind of holocron. It was something, it was something, some other holocron. Okay, I'm gonna touch it. Have you touched it before? I don't know. Has he touched it before? Yeah, you've touched it before. You've touched it before. Like every night.

[00:16:44] Every, every single night. He was doing something. Okay, fair. It is... Vigorously. It was weird. He was touching it vigorously. Um, it seems to be, uh, like there's a, a buzz from it. Um, and you get this sort of, you... Roll, roll D. Or, uh, yeah, roll D. Yeah, please roll D. It's, it's a stat in the, in the game. Is it a vigorous stat? Yes. Remember, I'm a bunny rabbit. Uh huh.

It's like, uh, ah, Sterling, let you hear. He did. He took that little tiny butt around us.

You see it, you see the carbinex kind of floating amidst a bunch of, like, floating muck and, like, plant life and stuff like that above the water, but you're underwater looking up at... And then you, like, hear, like, the... Or you feel the vibrations of something, like, from below, and you look down, and there's just these, like, a swarm of ravenous, cadaverous, like, toad people with long ears,

[00:19:39] just with, and sharp teeth and sunken in eyes, and they're just coming up at you, like, like, like, like, like piranha, like, like, uh, like, um... You fed, you fed them after midnight, man. Yeah, they're kind of, like, hairless, uh, like, uh, no, um, but they kind of look like hairless, uh, mogwais. Um, but, but, but they're, like, cadaverous, and, like, uh, they look like they're in, like, tattered, like, monk robes, and they're just swimming up to you, like, like, like a swarm

[00:20:07] of ravenous, uh, fish. And that's when you wake up. And you look over in that book, like, uh, the, uh, uh, the tome is actually, like, it's slowly, it's slightly glowing, like a yellow and red, uh, before it fades. So, that's what you, you see. And then you, yeah, you, like, you, you kind of get this impression, it's like, like, this is, like, you feel like this,

[00:20:34] there, like, uh, a draw to that place, that swamp. Um, and, uh, actually, I guess what we're also here on this, um, Doug! Oh, shit. Uh, you wake up, where, where, where, where are you? Are you, are you, are you in your sleep cycle, or are you doing something else in the, um, cleaning my guns. Okay, so you're cleaning your guns, uh, and, uh, you hear, you see,

And this is obviously, like, it seems to be a Force Ghost version of your, of your, your dad. Uh, Kenten and Dig. Goddamn. He's just like, I can already feel it trying to get me. Destroy the weirdness. Destroy it. And then he just kind of fades away into static. Okay. Weird. Yeah.

[00:21:54] And then Agar Binks. Jar Jar. Your Uncle Jar Jar comes to you as a Force Ghost. No, Sith Lord. Yeah. Sith Lord. He's absolutely a Sith in this, probably. Oh, yeah, yeah. In my canon, uh, Jar Jar was secretly a Sith Lord. Yeah. It just makes sense. It really does. What was the character's, like, actual name? Ugarra Binks. Her name is... She's a Binks.

So, um, yeah, so you're, you're like either in, like, you're sleeping or, um, you're doing

Um, and, uh, yeah, I guess, I guess also, um, yeah, so they, um, so Xanatos, um, decides, uh, yeah, he's gonna bring the ship out to Dagobah. And, uh, so in the hangar bay, uh, Jag and, uh, uh, what's your character's name, uh, Merrick? What are you on with? Durka. Durka?

[00:23:47] Yeah, Jag and Durka, you're, um, you guys are, I guess, like, maybe training or... I'm working on my ship. Yeah, you're working on the ship or you're in the hangar or doing something. Just pumping iron. Yeah, pumping iron, yeah. I have a question. Yeah. Your chin up softly. I have a star shirt. Was Durka one of, um, uh, Xanatos' minions that he was sending out? Yeah, so, yeah. [00:24:13] You actually work for Xanatos, like, on his ship and stuff, because he, he's, as this, like, tactician commander kind of guy, he sends down troops, uh, like, uh, instead of, like, actually being in the, in the forefront himself, he actually sends down, like, Yeah, you literally play like an RTS. I'm here for the credits. Yeah. Um, you get, you guys both hear from the hangar, it's like, over the speakers, it's like, uh, alright crew, uh, listen up, we're going to Dagobah, we're going to this, we're

[00:24:40] going to this shitty swamp planet, uh, at the behest of our Jedi friends. I'm getting to my time, I'm getting out and gone, I'm not going, bye-bye. Alright, then. I'm kidding. Are we even there yet? No. I'm just running. He's just leaving. I'm just leaving. Just leave with the room. Alright, so you can go downstairs now. That's about to fish your eye out. Uh, but yeah, uh, and, yeah, basically just, it tells you guys, like, lets you guys know that they're changing course and moving and going to this other place. Uh, I hope you guys weren't expecting any kind of R&R from that little bit.

[00:25:11] You'll be well-paid, don't worry. Quid, or my R&R as I'm pumping out. Y'all! Uh, and so we then like... I'm just making fun of the boys because that's what my character does. And then we, uh, we swipe fade to, uh, orbit around Dagobah, the stormy, swampy-looking planet, uh, below. I didn't do anything to him. Just like blacks and greens and dark blues.

[00:25:38] Uh, and then like gray, like heavy clouds. And, uh, yeah, you, uh, uh, Zantos is like a little bit, but we've here, um, do you want us to, uh, send you any reinforcements or you guys got this down there? Looks like there's not much landing. Uh, yeah, I guess, uh, I, I mean, you should obviously send the crew down. Yeah, you guys are all like in a group. Yeah. This part on the bridge. Um.

[00:26:04] You know exactly, like, you know in your mind exactly where on that planet you need to be. But no, Zantos, we don't, we don't need any of your NPCs. Well, Agutha sends one. You're gonna go with them, you son of a bitch. Congratulations on your promotion. You're no longer an NPC. Yeah, you've been dropped. I can practically see the, the PC force halo over here.

[00:26:33] Turning on my oxygen. Self-contained. Yes. So I can be nice and comfy in a swamp land. Well, I guess we'll, uh, head to the transporter pad and we'll have Scotty Dimas now. What? That game. I'm sorry. Um, Grubowitz, um, actually, uh, your little, uh, Geonosian, like, child that like murdered a person. Because somebody. Oh, right. I vaguely remember that.

[00:27:01] Because Sterling, um, like told them to like go home and rethink their life. Oh, he came back as a murderer. Yeah. I rethought my life. I want to kill you. You realize that like this, this little grub, this little grub, uh, Grubowitz, um, had, had the force. Like had the potential for the force. Everything comes back to the wall. So you guys decide to take him in and try and lead him away from the dark side. He's also had some weird like connection to like the weird yellow force energy that you guys have encountered.

[00:27:28] Like both on in, in Alderaan's ruins and, uh, elsewhere. That's my favorite type of force energy. Yeah. Uh, I mean, is it? Cause it causes weird manifestations. I don't know, man. It's yellow. He doesn't care. No. But, uh, yeah. So he's hanging out on your shoulder. Jedi. A little like, little grub. So he could be backpacked while they run? Yes. Okay, cool. Backpacked while they run? He's in your little hoodie. Mm-hmm. The hood of your, your cowl. He's just like. Oh yeah, right. I am a Jedi. Yeah. Suddenly he just grows.

Um, there are also fractaling yellow kyber crystals, um, just kind of, like, like, uh, rotating on the floor and on the ceiling above- above and below the star weird.
