[00:30:29] bunch of houses uh and development on the other side of the road from you

[00:30:35] um it's very very quiet there the the the downed of birds chirping and such

[00:30:42] uh it seems rather non-descript

[00:39:24] um watch tower uh there's a set of stairs that spiral around it and uh go up to a platform

[00:39:30] at the top where there's some binoculars and such um it looks like part of it is uh taped off

[00:39:37] for some reason he's taped yeah and uh yeah like no more just like caution tape not police tape

[00:39:43] specifically okay but like warning tape um but like the uh the door the the the staircase

[00:39:49] the stairwell that goes up is uh is still like open and available to uh go up

[00:39:56] is there no sign around you progress to the tape no it's just some caution tape just uh off to

[00:40:01] the side it kind of goes on like it's like attached to like a post like one of the uh the post

[00:40:06] that's connected to the boardwalk that goes up uh out to it like because this uh this towers

[00:40:12] alongside the boardwalk and like you have to like like take a step off the boardwalk to like uh

[00:40:17] like down like basically across a little like bridge area to get to it okay and uh the tape is like

[00:40:23] around the base of it but not near the not uh not blocking off the the staircase so you guys can

[03:13:14] melee and knife attacks yeah um and i was using my 38 revolver which is what i had readily available

[03:13:23] because we were walking through a park in florida yeah really it's just the rake didn't have a lot

[03:13:32] chance to uh to fight back um it had like damage reduction stuff which i was putting in accounts for

[03:13:38] especially with the even with the explosions and stuff but like yeah it's just one was a really big

[03:13:43] monster and the other one was just kind of like a fight like a like a uh a fighterman

[03:13:49] okay trying to see what the because the other one i used the rake for the rake i used um

[03:13:56] the hound of tindalos stats because it seemed to match it up and uh i'd be very like the yeah

[03:14:03] the um looking at the cr for uh for the for both at once um it does kind of make a little bit of

[03:14:09] sense because the uh the spider is basically there to um to to make sure non slender mythos creatures

[03:14:16] or entities get out of that area um whereas the rake is really just kind of another servitor or like

[03:14:23] a lesser creature in the slender man mythos like he's literally uh in in in every man hybrid the slender

[03:14:30] uh the rake is actually the slender man's like like a lap dog uh in some ways

[03:14:37] but um and to a regular person the rake would have been a lot of problems but you guys are also

[03:14:42] magically empowered um also the transit spider was like a cr six and the hound of tindalos uh or the

[03:14:51] rake is a cr three oh okay so you say we dealt with the rake easily because we're wizards but i

[03:15:01] shot it with an arrow and Aaron shot it with bullet oh that's pretty magic you're more prepared

[03:15:08] you're also you well no you guys also had um like the ritual that you also that ritual that you

[03:15:14] guys that you do on a daily basis yep does negate some uh like i wasn't uh i also wasn't uh actually

[03:15:22] guess this maybe this is again just more for like the spider because i basically negated its damage

[03:15:26] reduction because you have that ritual because as long as when you're in the slender uh in the slender

[03:15:32] mythos world um and but you've done that ritual it negates damage reduction

[03:19:50] they come through like time and stuff but it like they're there stats kind of reminded me of more

[03:20:00] little bit beefier than a ghoul so i was like oh i could all use the i'll use the hans of tindalos

[03:20:13] dressed in files ghouls ghouls and this have no damage reduction they're just people they're

[03:20:17] just undead people really they're undead people with like with dog fate with dog mouths and

[03:20:23] in claws okay is in you know that uh that uh i'm aware that the dressed in ghouls are based on

[03:20:33] i was i was gonna reference dungeons of dragons you know you know undead and dungeons and dragons have

[03:20:40] like they don't have damage reduction well not all of them do some of them do but most of them don't

[03:20:45] um but a lot of them have ridiculously weird resistances like uh okay skeletons only take half

[03:20:53] damage from from piercing damage yeah so bullets are way less useful against them

[03:21:02] so a ghoul in this is 13 HP it's got 14 armor bone armor class

[03:21:11] um okay and its special qualities are spells and undead traits

[03:21:19] and when i when i looked at that for this that doesn't that like when i looked at the stats for

[03:21:24] this it didn't really scream um uh rake more than the hans of tindalos did no that's fair

[03:21:32] the hans of tindalos is supposed to be able to like jant around it has two claws it has like a

[03:21:37] they uses a tongue uh and it has a damage creature yeah so the undead traits don't really matter to

[03:21:46] it no that makes sense it's like undead traits are great like they're they can be pretty

[03:21:51] uh pretty impressive because they're immune to critical hits they're immune to uh they're

[03:21:56] immune to poison they're immune to um toxin effects they're immune to disease

[03:22:03] yeah

[03:22:06] really cool resistances but if you guys hadn't gone one more right if you if you'd uh if you

[03:22:11] hadn't killed that that rake in one round like you did um it's it did also have a regeneration

[03:22:19] hmm uh five so it would have started regenerating its lost limb um and like healed healed some of

[03:22:26] the points that you uh dealt it oh that makes sense so but you you literally like you like

[03:22:33] first off air Dave killed it hit it with like with technically with 15 uh damage so it was 10 damage

[03:22:40] um because it's uh it's got a five uh a damage direction of five yeah and then you hit it with 34

[03:22:47] damage so and it's HP was damage yeah falling damage so its HP was 26

[03:22:56] oh geez okay yeah i yeah i honestly what i might do is i might reroll like if i use the

[03:23:03] hands of tindellis again i might reroll it so it's not the base one because it's it's got four

[03:23:07] die ten plus four for its hit dice and whoever whoever rolled its HP only gave it 26 hit but

[03:23:14] a hit points yes because it's half gotcha it gives you the average which is half yeah

[03:23:20] so i think in the future i might i might just roll up the HP for these guys

[03:23:24] fair so keep this in mind too he got a crit yeah i did that is also true yeah

[03:23:46] it's 12 minus the uh the five damage reduction yeah so it'd be down to 14 or uh he'd be down

[03:23:53] to four at that point but he would immediately attack us and then he'll five yeah so it's

[03:24:00] longer but you guys critted that is kind of the nature of dice rolling in an RPG

[03:24:10] yeah um glad you guys had fun um some point we will continue and eventually finished

[03:25:44] just more hod's armor had a timer on it if it wasn't being hit i think it originally did

[03:25:51] um the problem is is that that durations in dungeons and dragons are all based on your castor level

[03:25:59] and we try to do away with a castor level uh uh uh we basically try to do away with castor levels in

[03:26:10] this game um because a level one wizard casting a level one spell should be just as effective as a

[03:26:20] level 10 casting the same spell like it's still the same spell you get a better version of the spell

[03:26:26] if you want it to do more um so try to do away with castor levels entirely especially since

[03:26:34] it's not like it's too meta for the purposes of this game yeah so hod's armor was kind of like a

[03:26:43] bastardization of mage armor and another spell from fourth edition because i happened to have a

[03:26:50] spell card for it which mage armor lasts an hour per castor level

[03:26:58] so a level one it lasts you an hour and at level 20 it lasts you literally all day

[03:27:04] yeah so base and and chris likes things to be a little bit more uh uh uh uh uh narrative

[03:27:15] yeah and we don't really have a lot in the way of spell points so hod's armor basically just as i

[03:27:23] recall got changed to blank duration because for the purposes of the game you're you're gonna cast

[03:27:32] the spell but you're not gonna keep it on all the time because there's like a constant uh uh ice

[03:27:38] and misdefect and we're wizards in the real world so we can't really have that as we're walking down

[03:27:45] town yeah for sure yeah usually when we put it on it gets popped within a minute of actual time
