[00:00:02] Hello my children above and below. Welcome to Arcane Dark Radio. I am your shepherd on the moonlit airwaves, Reverend Cultisto, here to bring you words and warnings of things that go bump in the night. And tonight, we have the following.
[00:00:31] There seems to be some strange goings on out there. Some thick as fog mysteries over Moorhead, Kentucky. Better lock your doors, check your wards, and stay behind those thresholds. For now, sleep well.
[00:00:51] Welcome to the Roleplaying Exchange, in association with One Less Die. A production from Crit in the Night Podcast Network. We got a lot of names now. We are continuing our Dresden Fate Accelerated campaign, Dresden vs. Morehead Mysteries. So yeah, do you guys want to introduce your characters?
[00:01:20] Yeah. As you plow through a mall in the Never Never? Or plow out of a mall, rather? We can totally do that. I'll go ahead and jump in here, because I'm A for Adam. And I'm going to be... God already went into Kalem's voice. Which is... It's your voice. It's my voice. It was Kalem driving just then, boys. I'm playing Kalem Blackburn, or Kalem Blackburn playing Adam, whichever one you want to think about.
[00:01:50] Sure. You know, that's the same thing. I am a... My high concept is a... I'm a warrior of God. I am a warrior God that was trained by my mamaw, which is what us Appalachians call our grandmothers. Please tell me you didn't change your high concept to warrior of God. I honestly got... I honestly got... I forgot to upgrade it after we walked out. Like, yeah guys, you got some stuff. I'm like, yeah, I'll upgrade that. Never again. I know, son. I sure will. I'll upgrade shit.
[00:02:20] I see you pulled a Seb. Alright. No, if Sam just never upgraded, I forgot this time. There's a difference. Yeah, true. But, yeah. So, you know, at some point in here, I'll take... I should, honestly, just take warrior of God, but... And I lose my healing powers. So, as you can tell, Kalem's a divided, torn man. He helped save a god or an evil dude in Never Never who wasn't quite so evil and he was alright,
[00:02:47] and he was against the Dollar General Store, so I can sympathize with him. An avatar of the Dollar General Store. Yeah. He's one of them blue people for the Dollar General. Oh, God. The novice. But anyway, I'm gonna rattle on unless somebody comes save me. Aaron. The other A. The double A that I'll jump right in front of. Fuck yeah, bud.
[00:03:15] I'm playing Liam McNeil, and I am a wizard, also a cult investigator. A fucking A right, yeah, bud. Oh, yeah, you betcha that right. My high concept is the great white wizard. And I'm the wizard of Canada, because apparently we're not big enough deal to have a warden from the White Council, so... I freelance. I mean, that sounds legit.
[00:03:45] Pretty much. This is Jeremy. I'm playing Lester Gibson. He is the former Underworld coyote that is trying to make things right, and occasionally tries to do things that are selfless, and generally tries to get himself killed, so he's gonna stop doing that. He's kind of excited to fight an outsider dragon, but he's also not really cool with it. So we'll see what happens. Yeah. All right, next up we got Josh. Yeah.
[00:04:13] Playing Elizabeth Lizzie Skarsgard, and... Well, not from the Great North, also from the North. So, unfortunately, I can't join Aaron in being a great white wizard, but... Eh. And, yeah. Grey Warden. Mm-hmm. Not Grey Warden. Wow. Grey... Yeah, yeah. The Grey Cloaks. Yeah, there we go. Yeah. I mean, yeah, there's the terminology. Autocorrect filled in there. You got a... You got a griffin now or something?
[00:04:42] I'd like to. That's like one of the only reasons I was interested in that game, just like, ooh, a griffin. Yeah, Asan is pretty awesome. Oh, he's named. Yep. All right, and then I guess next to... Hi, everybody. Yeah, David. This is David. I am playing Rick Von Karkov, who began life as a panther. I am a were-man, which is decidedly different from a were-panther, because I'm a panther that turns into a man, not the other way around.
[00:05:12] Although I understand why people keep getting confused. I also just realized that, yeah, like, you're a were-man, so you're a were-creature, but you're a were-creature that stays in your were-form. Like, pretty predominantly. Well, it's not hard once you learn it. I mean, ums are useful things. I understand why you monkeys have them. All right, and... It's chimps, sir. How dare you? Apes.
[00:05:42] Apes together. Strong apes. I was thinking that, like, when the guy calls them monkeys and Burton at Planet of the Apes, the gorilla takes great offense that he calls them monkeys and not apes, because there is a difference between monkeys and apes. To be fair, the area where I live, generally, the things that you see with thumbs more often are raccoons. Mm-hmm. In all fairness, that is a dewclaw. That is not a thumb. It's getting there.
[00:06:12] It's getting there. It's getting there. It's getting there, isn't like one. And I'm everybody else, Crazon, review cultist, Chris, I'm out of many names. Chris, nobody ever asked you this, but who's your favorite one to portray so far? Of everybody. Of what? You said you're everybody. Who's your favorite NPC? Yeah, who's your favorite NPC? Mercy, the red cord bat child. The baby. The one we haven't talked to in. The week and a half of this game actually was in real time.
[00:06:42] Yeah, the two weeks that you guys have to go with it, yeah. No, I'll say I liked Amber or Ember. She was the little girl, like also supernova. Yeah. So this is the post-mortem, right? We're done? Yeah, clearly, yeah. You guys beat the dragon. Good job. I mean, technically, we don't have to fight the dragon. We could just leave. Liam one-punched it. It was very epic. And now... Consecutive normal punches.
[00:07:14] Serious, serious table flip. Oh yeah. But yeah, no. So yeah, you guys have broken out of the mall and into the desolate, half abandoned, or actually all abandoned, parking lot of the Candle Cove Mall into the mist and shrouded forested hills of Icker Falls proper. And like, ahead of you, there's just a bunch of forested hills.
[00:07:41] And down the road from the mall, there is an iron bridge, or what looks like an iron, one of those like traditional like West Virginia iron rot bridges over a river. And beyond that is the town itself. So you guys, I believe I gave you guys a map somewhere in the mall that wasn't just the mall map. Yeah. And if not, you guys have a map of Icker Falls before you enroll 20. So I let this map get in my pocket.
[00:08:11] Yeah. One of the, one of the, uh, the, uh, Stillwood Kings, you see like a very long limb just like put in your pocket and just like pat your pocket and then like immediately like slink back into the, back into the, the mall. Pats my ass and says, there you go, buddy. Yeah. Call me. When you're back in town, call me. Yeah. So you guys have a map of, uh, I hope you got his number. Can we do a long raft, Chris? Uh, no.
[00:08:41] Get our fast back? Nope. Nope. Because he gives us time. He gives us time to prep. Yeah, exactly. I'm not giving you guys time to prep. You guys have had enough prep as you, as your Roy, as your, your, your, your skid steer is, is ripping up the ground of this never, never location. I mean, our prep time is the fact that we leveled up. Yeah. There's your prep. Well, so an hour and we do a side quest. He doesn't want that anymore. Yeah.
[00:09:10] So, you know, that the, I will say like, cause it's been a, it's, it's been a hot minute out of game. You guys do know that the straw and worm shining one, the, the outer half of, of miss a Linda worm is at Linda worm is supposed to be imprisoned in a mine. Uh, I need Icker falls. So if you look at the map that you suddenly find yourself in, in possession of.
[00:09:39] There does appear to be an old West falls company map or mine, uh, in upper Arithia river, just north of the falls. And as best as you guys can see on the map, there are a few avenues of reaching it. So yeah, on the map, it's, it looks like there's a couple of roads that get close to the old, uh, old falls. So yeah. Yeah.
[00:10:09] Yeah. So yeah. Yeah. That is fair. That is if he actually controls the most of the stillwood, even if it is been de-shackled. Yeah. Back up the skid steer. We gotta go talk to him. Yeah.
[00:10:38] You, you, we have that scene. Like, Hey, what can we, can we go through your stillwood forest? Like, no, I do not. Oh, uh, those, those forests are still, are still controlled by shining one. Just the forests or like the whole town around it. This is the only safe location. Oh, fair enough. Well, yeah, the mall is basically like, because you've de-shackled him, he has some power right now and he does have a quite a lot of power, but he doesn't have air. Yeah.
[00:11:08] Unfortunately it's focused right now to this location until something is something disrupts Stralenwyrm's grasp of the, uh, of the never, never pocket dimension. You guys are basically like kept freeing, freeing the stillwood king last time has basically given like, like locked this place off from ever breaching either the never, never, like in all it's like major location.
[00:11:36] It's like, or like the open, like the wilder parts of the never, never, and also sealed it off from ever like breaching into the mundane, like mortal world. But shining one still has a strong presence and influence of the town itself. Her, her shadow is still over the town. So. All right, fellas. I think we need a plan. I don't know. I don't know what this plan might be considering as a dragon, but at the same time, I feel like rolling in half cocked is probably going to get us killed.
[00:12:06] So what are we thinking? We start with negotiation and when that fails, use force. So normal plan. It's already going to fail. Why not just go with force? Cause at least we can say we tried. Because it might not fail this time. This time. Just because it has failed every single time we've tried to negotiate before doesn't mean it will always fail. It's bound to work sooner or later. Tell you what you going alone, you try and negotiate. Let's see how it goes.
[00:12:36] When you don't come back. I'll go with you, buddy. All right. When you two don't come back. When you don't come back. Sideways. I'll throw down the gloves and let's just fucking go. Well, well, first off, how are you guys? Cause like the mind's all the way over there. Mine. I mean, we've got this handy skid steer. We do have a handy skid steer. And I can drive it. If you have it. He's certified. He's got a merit badge for it. He's got a sticker on the top.
[00:13:05] He's just a hard hat, but he suddenly just has. I'll add that to the drawing. It'll cover the mullet, Chris. You can't do that. Yeah, I know. Yeah, exactly. We didn't see who was wearing it. Yeah. Well, it looks like you said the falls, like we are either going through the Stillwood forest. So yeah. Going through the town over to the mine. Is that it? Yeah. Like there's, it looks like there, you guys can have three avenues. Go straight through the woods.
[00:13:36] Take, take one of the roads that's nearby or, or go into the heart of the town and go from like the, go to the most direct road. Cause it looks like the, the, the road that's closest to you guys to like get closer to there still doesn't actually reach the mines. You probably are going to go off road or like, there's like a, a dirt road or a trail that goes toward the mine. I think. Yeah.
[00:13:58] But there is actually a road at the very end, like that, that kind of goes through town and then north of town that will, that looks like it goes directly to the mine. Well, obviously guys, we need to follow the only road. I've ever known. Like a drifter. We were born to walk alone.
[00:14:17] While we're, uh, while we're sitting here talking is whenever I was earlier, when we came in, I studied those root or the, the runes and stuff like that, that was masking everything. Is there any way I could put that all over the skid steer to kind of hide us back? Kind of bail everything. Yeah. You could try that. Yeah. It's worth a shot. We're seeing what happens. It doesn't work. I got a seven. Seven. Jesus. Jesus. You're what are we rolling?
[00:14:47] Uh, he, he's willing to, to apply, uh, runes to the, to the, the skid steer and us if I can. So that way we can just, I can veil all of us. I'll say that the skid steer is, is, is, is, is, is, is pretty, is, is warded. But, and you guys, as long as you guys are like touching it or are, are near it, you guys will be, you, you can go unnoticed.
[00:15:11] Like, even as like, you guys are driving like around this like parking there, this large parking lot area, like trying to get over to the road. It suddenly becomes very quiet. Uh, like you almost like muted by the, uh, the runes. Nice. So, but yeah, you can't, the, the runes themselves, like you try to apply them yourself and it actually starts hurting as you try to apply them to yourself. Makes sense. Well, I had to try. I haven't tried to apply them to myself yet. Yeah. I'm like, look guys, it's really quiet now. Look.
[00:15:40] And I put a rune on there and it like everything shuts up. I'm just going to nod and give a thumbs up. Mm hmm. So folks, I'm going to attempt to smile and then realize that my teeth are extremely pointy right now. And stop that. What was that? Uh, Adam. Yeah. If any folks I done seen wrong turn one, wrong term to wrong turn three electric boogaloo. And I don't believe that going through the woods in this, this, uh, region would probably be the best case.
[00:16:10] There's three wrong turns, but there's only two silent hill movies. So I think we should go through the town and cut up. Three wrong turns. I think that's pretty sound logic. I don't want to drive through. I don't want to drive through silent hill. So I mean, you're kind of going through silent hill. Well, is the town on fire? No, but it's incredibly foggy and misty. No, but we can make it on fire. That is also fair.
[00:16:36] There is also, there's no, there's no like sirens, but there's the ever present sound of crashing water from the falls off in the distance. So, oh God, my next character is going to be Jason waterfall. What do you guys should tell me? Don't go Jason waterfalls. Uh, so we got, we got one for the woods, one for the town. What's everybody else think? I'm riding over the skid steers going. Liam, what, what say you?
[00:17:06] Uh, I'm, I'm waiting for party direction revving the engine so that I can't hear their arguments. You try. Unfortunately, it muffles. Like it's like, like, it's like very, very quiet and muted. What? I'm sorry, guys. I can't hear you. Very clear that we can hear them. Yeah. It's like, oh, I'm going under a, I'm going into a tunnel.
[00:17:31] I pull out a candy wrapper from my pocket and just start like rubbing it, crinkling it. Yeah. So that everybody can hear the crinkling wrapper. Yeah. There's, there's a lot of static on the line guys. All right. So apparently he's, he's waiting for your guys, uh, decision. That's a good, great. All right. Well, obviously we're going to have to paper, rock, scissors for this, Jeremy. So we'll throw off buddy.
[00:17:58] We're going to go as Lizzie and I are constitutionally unable to agree on anything. I mean, yes. All right. I don't mind going through the town. Oh really? I was wanting to paper, rock, scissors. I mean, we can paper, rock, scissors. How are we going to do this? The fact that you started on paper. Oh God. Hmm. Rock, paper, scissors. Or if you're Australian. Is it going to be haste to do it faster? Gal to do it sneaky. Oh, I'd say. The rules to this game are very simple.
[00:18:27] Claw cuts paper. Claw crushes rock. And claw claws claw. And claw destroys scissors. All right. Yeah. It's always claw. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's have a focus off. We're not. Yeah. I think, I think focus. Yeah. I think focus is the, I'm going to lose this. Well, you don't have focus. Adam chose it. He's got the ADDs. I forgot to have a row guys. So like what?
[00:18:59] Jeremy wins. No, no. I pulled up the dice for a paper, rock, scissors. So done. I'll pull up Caleb here. All right. There's a paper, rock, scissors, dice. I won. I love the, I love the like, I won. Just like you said, I'm so excited. I got a pretty exciting point. No, best two out of three, bitch. Jeremy, your call. Where do you want to go? Oh, I say we go through the town. It's a lot.
[00:19:29] It's a direct route. We were fighting for the same thing. I love it. Let's keep going. Yeah. All right. Okay. So I'm just going to knock twice on the roof of the thing because our driver apparently can't hear us and I'm going to point towards the town. He drives it to the woods. I mean, fuck you guys. I don't listen to crack. It's going to be the quietest, quietest deforestation I've ever seen. Well, the trees, oh yeah, the trees will still fall. Like let me laugh.
[00:19:57] Like there'll be no sound of like what's doing it. It's like an ice storm. It destroyed everything. The tree was forced and no one's around to hear it. But Liam, are you taking the road then toward town? You know, every time I hear philosophers say that, they don't realize that the trees themselves can actually hear it. And it's not just the trees that can hear it. It's all of the animals that live within them. So you're describing an impossibility.
[00:20:25] It cannot be a forest if no one is there to hear it. Those philosophers don't care. So let's see here. So as you guys are, you guys travel, you're going across the, you leave, you leave the area around the mall and, and head toward that, uh, that bridge. And yeah, you see it's a large metal. Like it would be iron, like one of those like iron rot bridges that you see in like the Sealy metal.
[00:20:55] Yeah. But it's the type of Sealy metal. It's, it's just like a facsimile to the location. Cause obviously I can see it. Yeah. God damn it. And yeah, you guys, uh, it does, it looks pretty, as soon as the, as soon as the, the, the skid steer begins going over it, it begins starting to shake a little bit. Like one does. Yeah, of course. You know, like it's, you're, you're, you're hearing some of the shaky, like some of the,
[00:21:20] the screw, the, some of the bolts and whatnot start to like, kind of shake under the weight of the nuts, there's a, the backish running water from the falls, just kind of like these like rapids and very strong current from where the water is coming down from the falls.
[00:21:49] And how would you guys roll me a focus to, to notice something? All right. I already got one good focus roll. It's not going to happen again. Nope. Not terrible for me. Thanks. You just helped me warm up, Jeremy. There you go. Jesus. Yes. I am a warrior of God now. Calem, you're, you're, you're watching it and yeah, you're, Liam and, and, and Ulrich and even Lizzie, you're, you're, you're noticing you have the shickiness and it's like, oh, it
[00:22:19] should, it should hold. It should hold. Calem. You're looking at some of the, you're seeing, you see, you notice a few of this of you hear, you don't see it, but you hear a few like splashes in the water and you look over and you see a couple of like bolts just like kind of buckling and the, the, the wing nuts and whatnot of this, this, this, this, this, this, this large bridge are actually like popping the fastened bits and such. This thing might go if you guys don't hurry up.
[00:22:50] All right. Unless you do something to try and reinforce the bridge. Who's ready to recreate the Quebec bridge incident of 1903. What was this thing? Do you want to get a wizard to use ice? Uh, yeah, that would be Liam. Can you freeze the bridge and drive the truck at the same time? Oh, man. Probably. All right. Yeah. I'll, I'll give it, I'll give it a shot. I like how you go ahead Darren. Just like, I don't know ice either. Apparently.
[00:23:19] Remember guys say as little as you can to avoid. Do you want a fate point? I mean, yes or no. Do you want a fate point? So there's a, so there's like rapids and stuff. Yeah. Like underneath the, probably about like 30, 50 or 30 to 40 feet below the bridge. But if there's, if there's churning water like that, then there's probably also mist. Oh yeah. No, there's mist all around you guys. Like this is a silent hill was not an inaccurate summation.
[00:23:49] Unfortunately, there's also running water. So then I can just, I can, I can use my ice magic to freeze the water as it accumulates on the bridge. And like, that is true. Buff it the fuck up. All right. I'm going to activate great white wizard. Okay. Okay. Yeah. So that'll give me a plus two and yeah, I guess I'm driving and doing this at the same time.
[00:24:16] So I'm gonna, you know, above of the difficulty. I feel like finger guns are, are appropriate as you're driving going. Pew, pew, pew, pew. Pew, pew. He just one hand driving it while like using your other hand to like shoot, like, like, just like create frost, like create an ice sheet. You're flicking your fingers like you're flipping a cigarette out the window kind of thing. And you know that feeling, buddy. I know. Oh yeah. It's been a while since I smoked, but I remember. It's been a while.
[00:24:45] It's been a while. All right. So I'm going to roll with flair. Yeah. And I got to do it. Yep. Fucking damn. Yeah. No, damn it. Yeah. You're just like seven. The, all the, you guys actually can see a little bit farther ahead now as like all the cumulative mist around you kind of like solidifies on the bridge, creating kind of reinforcing and adding an extra couple of layers of, of, of icy reinforcement to all the metal. The, he's Mr. I'm going to start.
[00:25:15] He's Mr. He's Mr. Snow. But I'm going to. You're Mrs. Hundred and ten degrees. He's Mr. Fifty below. I mean, that's awesome. That is kind of like Liam and Lizzie's dynamic. Yeah. Mm-hmm. All right. Yeah. Chris, you know what drawing you have to do now. Yeah. Now I got to draw you two as, as, as rank rank and bass characters, the, the fire miser,
[00:25:44] I think it is, or the, or whatever it is, the heat miser and the miser and yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, you guys, uh, make it across, uh, the bridge and you leave it basically like just this strangely frozen structure or like half frozen structure amidst what otherwise is feels like just kind of like a warm autumn or like late summer day. This kind of what the, the environment like temperature wise kind of feels like it's like
[00:26:12] kind of just this very omnipresent wet, like warm, warm fall day. And you continue down the road through and you see some signs for, uh, that say like this area is a lower Alethea. There's a bunch of housing projects, like older, like kind of older housing projects probably like fifties, sixties around here. And as you kind of start going into these ones, you are passing a couple of buildings, like almost like a small strip of, of, of, of businesses.
[00:26:43] Most of the, the windows are, are boarded up and such, but on the corner of a, one of the streets, there is a, uh, what looks like some kind of convenience store, a very old looking convenience store, probably like seventies or eighties style. And yeah, it is 70s, 1980s or 1970s, 1970s, more like 1970s. Okay. Um, like you see like new, you see like the metal, like kind of like the metal bars put on the windows and like, uh, it has, uh, some, it has like the kind of accoutrement reminds you
[00:27:11] of like a seventies, some seventies films. Or if you're, if you guys remember from those periods, like that kind of, I mean, I meant your characters like walking around. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, it's like a little, like a convenience store. Some of the lights inside are sputtering and half lit. There's a, an open sign that's like made with neon that's sputtering. And you guys hear sounds of a scuffle going on inside. Uh, it looks like a whole lot of not our problem. Yep.
[00:27:41] Yeah. I agree. You guys just press on or no. Yeah. Does this, did you just jump off the, the skid steer and head over to investigate? I'll pull over. Okay. Wait, you can, wait, you can hear it, Leo. You couldn't hear anything. What? I, I don't know what you're talking about. The engine's overheating. We got to turn around. It's going to be really nice and cool. Crinkle, crinkle, crinkle. I think we're going through a tunnel.
[00:28:13] I can't in good conscience. I'm not supposed to leave somebody in hell. It needs a bit of help. So it's for sure. Don't mind. Take a moment here. Who doesn't, who, who thinks that, who says they're, they need help. Okay. All right. No, no, no, you don't, no, you don't hear quite that. You hear me here. Like it's like, I assure you, I need help, sir, sir, please put it down. Put it. No need for violence. No need for violence.
[00:28:41] You hear something like that, like along those lines, like muffled. All right. Well, I guess I'll just walk it like just, you know, no sneaking, just walks into the door, through the door. Okay. Okay. Damn warrior. God. Yeah. You walk inside. I'm going to back him up. Yeah. I'm just going to hop down. You, you walk inside the, the like bell above the, uh, the door kind of like rings. Uh, and do you want a fate point?
[00:29:12] I would love one, Chris. I'm sure. Sure. Okay. So the, the still wolf that is harassing the, uh, the, the clerk, you, that's what that's you, uh, that's kind of what you got your focus, but you, and taking your focus away from the other still wolf. That's closer to the door that just like, uh, get that just brings down a meaty paw on you and like throws you through, throws you in deeper into the, uh, convenience store across several lines.
[00:29:43] Was he on the other side of the door when he walked in or did he like walk in behind him? Cause we are still standing outside. Uh, he was on the inside of the, uh, okay. Yeah. Still wolf is inside. Yeah. And yeah, he just grabs you by like the shoulder, like digs his claws in and just throws you across the, the convenience store across several aisles and you just go crashing. We just see him in the doorway and then suddenly he's thrown inside. Yeah. Okay. Since it is a 1970s, uh, era station. Yeah. That means that it's mostly glass.
[00:30:14] So I'm going to reventerate through the window next to the door on top of that still wolf. Okay. Yeah. And just stomp him to the floor. Uh, also Adam, take one point of stress. What if I refuse Chris? Uh, you had took a fate point. So, uh, you don't know. I mean, what if I, I thought, what if I forgot how to do stress Chris? That's what if I did 13 episodes without knowing how to use my character sheet, Chris?
[00:30:42] That sounds like a you problem. Wow. That's okay. Okay. Let me just, uh, just going to say to the still wolf on the floor. Now that was rude. Ah, shit. Here we go again. Uh, it begins growling. Just, it just got the shit slapped out of the door. Yeah. Yeah. And the other one turns around to see that his buddy is, is not doing very good and, uh, is going to, uh, come at you. Bruh.
[00:31:12] So let's, let's see how that goes. Oh my God. Really? I need to find some, like, I need to get some physical fake dice. Jesus Christ. No, Chris. Like you're supposed to be champion. Screw you, Adam. I want to, I want to kill you guys. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. Let's get out. We're trying to die. Look at us. We're lemmings.
[00:31:35] So yeah, David, how is, uh, how is, um, how is the Baron going to resist or defend or parry this, uh, attack? By jumping out the window. Defenestrating himself. He keeps jumping in and out of the window. Uh, nope. I'm going to play, uh, I'm going to play hacky wolf with the one at my feet. So as he starts taking a swing at me, I'm just going to kip his body up in front. I'm just.
[00:32:03] Now, why are you hitting your friend like that? Nice. Yeah. It just gives him. And you just see, like, you see black smoke, like pour out of the gashes that he creates from his, uh, on upon his buddy, as well as this like weird fractaling, sparkling, like light is kind of fragmented out of the wound as well. It's not just, it's not like cold. It's not like the, uh, the hot embers. It's, it's something new for you guys from the stools.
[00:32:32] And he just. I suggest that you both calm down. You want to try some kind of intimidation? We're going to try and negotiate with these things too. We know it doesn't work. We've tried that. Well, it doesn't work against human ones. It doesn't work period. Let's see. Um, I literally cannot take stress, Chris. My character. She's fucking up again. What? Okay.
[00:33:02] We'll just mark off that you have one stress. Grab a shit sheet. Yeah. Grab a, grab a piece of air. I'm, I'm clicking something in the dark. Like I can highlight the spot where it would be on this damn sheet. Okay. I can, I can add the stress if you want here. I should have added it, but okay. Or you could just say it doesn't matter really. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Take any damage. It's fine. Yeah. Sorry. Hang on. Just checking the stuff I have here.
[00:33:31] Uh, so yeah, you got a, uh, so yeah, the, the guy, the, uh, the one wolf kind of like backs away, but like is still in kind of like, uh, uh, he could strike at any time, but he is, he is holding off from you. Like, cause he sees you as he sees the Baron as a, perhaps a, a, not just a, a quick meal ticket. Are we seeing any of this? Yeah. You guys are just watching this. Yeah. You guys are watching this.
[00:33:57] Uh, also, you, uh, um, yeah, Lester, Lizzie, what are you doing? Well, if I started seeing still world wolves running around, I'm going to pull out the D powered whistle and I'm going to blow the counter tune and see if they turn back. Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Cause I'm carrying around that whistle. Mm. Yep. I guess I'm roughing out my sword and charging up the steps. You want innocent people who are turned into wolves.
[00:34:26] Well, you'll kill them again. This is going to be the fastest way to find out if they're actually still wolves. Let's see how they resist that. They don't fuck you, Chris. You don't get to roll nice dice tonight. Fuck. Yeah. I was literally rolling all zeros and one or like a zero and one plus. Yeah. No, these, uh, these still was like immediately go for their art, like go for their ears. And as they do so, they start like just venting this black smoke and this strange psychedelic
[00:34:55] kind of kaleidoscope of light and color in kind of within the smoke. And they start shrinking down and just kind of like melting into the smoke and till they're nothing like they just vanish. Mm. I'm going to poke my head inside the window and be like, y'all ready to go yet? Yeah. Yeah. You are, you are like concussed a little bit. You're, you're kind of like trying to, you're looking, everything's very, everything's like twirl, everything's spinning around you. Like all the, all the aisles are spinning around you.
[00:35:24] You're all amongst, uh, amidst a bunch of like, like packages of like snacks and, and, and, uh, and beverages and even a couple of cans of beer from like the seventies. Uh, it looks like like those kinds of like, like vintage snacks and such. Mm. And actually the, uh, the cashier at this point is like actually run across, run across his, his, his, his store is like, Oh, are you okay, sir? Are you like, like you hurt?
[00:35:50] Oh, I think cracked my noggin a bit, but I'm all right. Got an RC Cola and some ibuprofen or something. You, so you look at the man as you're like asking that and roll me a, you roll me a, roll me a, a guile to like, just hide your revulsion or I'd say even like maybe a focus. If you want to try and like, just, uh, resist, like seeing what you're seeing.
[00:36:19] Well, did I resist it? I wrote a five. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. You, you, uh, you hold back. It's like, huh? Cause, uh, what's, uh, picking you up is, uh, is a man was a man. The, the cadaverous, like bloodied, bloody scarred remains of a man in a, uh, in a, in a, in an employee outfit of this, of, of this convenience store. I was like, Oh, those, those, those boys have can be a whole whip of trouble. They're, they're coming. They come in every so often. Sorry.
[00:36:48] You got pulled into the mix of it. We might have something, something to help you with. Uh, we might get some, some strong stuff. I'd be mighty appreciated. What's your name, buddy? Uh, William. William. Well, William, it's a pleasure to meet you. And pointily shakes the cadaver's hand because, you know, trying to act normal. Yep. Yeah. You, it's, it's, uh, it's gross. Uh, it's sticky and, and cold to the touch.
[00:37:17] But yeah, uh, I think we've got some, uh, some, some painkillers in the, uh, behind the counter in the, uh, in the first date, if you need it. Pulls out a mallet. Yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm. You won't feel a thing. Whack. Yeah. So what's your story? Why are you stuck here running this place? It seems like the town's deserted. Oh no, the town's, the town's not that deserted. It's, uh, we just, uh, like to keep, we, we don't like to, we like, we like to keep to ourselves most of the time. Uh, well, especially when the mists get thicker and thicker.
[00:37:47] That's when you want to just stay in, stay indoors. Uh, there's a. What's your read on the Steelwood King, buddy? Uh, just an urban legend, I think. Mm-hmm. It's just, uh, one of them things that, uh, you, they tell you not to, uh, uh, mothers tell their kids not, uh, so they don't go into the, into the Steelwood. Oh, okay. Well, I'm going to try it, I guess. Yeah.
[00:38:09] He doesn't seem to like, look like he's like reacting to the fact that he's like dead or, or like should be dead from his wounds and like his decay and the decay. He seems to be acting quite normal. Well, in terms of as like a, as, as like a normal person. Well, I guess we will. Well, we're, we're passing through here. We heard that there's a big racket going on up there at the waterfalls. You know anything about that? Oh, you mean over at the old mine?
[00:38:39] Oh yeah. I think, I think, uh, the Westfall company, I mean, the Westfall company has changed a bit, uh, last little while, but it's, I think they're somebody, somebody's calling up some, some of the old. Retirees back up to the, back up to the mines. So I think they're, they're excavating something. That's, that's where on the street anyway, in the falls. Alrighty. Anybody else have anything they'd like to add to this scene? Yeah.
[00:39:04] As you guys are, I guess you guys eventually like some of the other guys, guys come in and see this like cadaverous clerk helping, uh, helping Liam or, uh, helping the door. See the clerk turn around, head back. Nope. Nope. Does Matt recognize this corpse? Hmm? I said, do I recognize this corpse? No. No, you don't recognize this one. All right. I mean, how old is, how old is, is, is Lester? Like, has he been around?
[00:39:33] He'd been around a while. Were you doing stuff in the, in the seventies? No. Yeah. Okay. Then yeah, no, you wouldn't have done. You wouldn't know this guy. I just been in and out. Didn't know if I ended up here and said hi to him at some point in time when he was less, less slothy. No, I'm not. I'm not going to like attempt you with the fate point on that one. Yeah. This is the game where I was like, no, I'm not giving you guys fate points. Fuck you. It'll go bad for me later. You guys are always like, oh, well, these really always ask for fate points. I don't fuck you guys.
[00:40:04] You say after giving Adam one. Oh yeah. I don't. I'm special Josh. What is this? Whereas you are his, his support Canadian. Adam is my support. Kentucky. Emotional support Kentucky, which implies you will have one person who is your emotional support for every state. Well, yeah, I just don't know. I think. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:40:33] I mean, clearly Jeremy is my, my emotional support Indianian. Hoosier. Thank you. What? Hoosier. Hoosier. Yeah. I don't know why, but Hoosier. All right. Anyways, moving on. Your support guy. Jeremy. That's right. Here's your sport animal. Yeah.
[00:40:58] So while Caleb is talking, I am going to have been very carefully, methodically pulling apart, say a pallet that had some stuff on it. Yeah. And just very carefully boarding up the window that I broke. That's fair. Yeah. There's a, there's a, there's a pallet of, of some like bottled water or something like that. They just, you just pull, like you take the what's left on it and just start using it to. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:41:26] Pulling the boards off one by one and just nailing them back up. No, just nailing water bottles to it. Yeah. So poke my head and be like, who's your new friend, Caleb? Oh, this is Will. He's a, he's a humdinger. What's his read on the situation? What's going on here? He says that the mind's doing some excavating up there and I kind of open my, like I turn my back to Will. Yeah.
[00:41:50] And you know, just kind of, you know, wide eyed, like the mind, like kind of implying that obviously Will don't understand. I think Will's trapped in the seventies still. Disco music starts playing. Uh, well actually there is, um, there is some like radio static that is playing. And occasionally you do get a couple of like bits from something that sounds kind of familiar.
[00:42:16] It kind of sounds like that Reverend from the, the pirate radio station. It was in his disco era. Uh, no, it's a, you see, like it's a loose. The layer of the boost itself. Pray for them children. Pray. I'm just going to reach up to the radio handle or the, the knob and just tune it a little bit. Get it. See if I can get a clearer signal. Skulls for skulls. Skulls for skulls. Blood. Blood. God.
[00:42:46] Hey, all you have cat and kittens. God. Hello, my, my, my, my, cat and kittens. Hello, my, my, my, my, kittens. Hello, my, my, my, my, kittens. It is your, it is your grooviest of hosts, Reverend Contisto. You'd, oh my God. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah. You're, you're, you're tuning it on like the, like, uh, on the counter, like the radio that he has, the guy has on the counter. Uh, yeah. Yeah.
[00:43:16] Yeah. And you guys do hear it's like, there's a, he does like after some like seventies euphemisms and, and, and, and, and sayings and such, there is a message that he repeats. And it's like, I repeat, the king has been rescued and the dragon is furious. It's shadow looms ever deeper over the falls. Now the barony of Moorhead must traverse the mists and strangeness of this fine old mining
[00:43:44] town and face the layer of the beast itself until next time, children pray for them. My children pray. And now let's listen to some groovy tunes. Stay groovy. Walliers. Yeah. It's, yeah. It's gross. Gotta make a move to the town that's right for me. Do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do.
[00:44:14] Why does a man keep hitting his bottles together saying warriors come out to play? Oh, Chris, I picked my character sheet. Oh, good. Okay. So he's fucked around enough to where he fixed his character sheet. That mission accomplished. Okay. Why are all your approaches five? No, I'm kidding. Whoops. They are. No. Okay. I'm sorry, dude. I'm hashtag blessed. Warrior God. Oh God.
[00:44:44] But yeah, so that's what you hear on the radio. And then it starts playing some disco. So it seems like the Reverend is playing even here. Must be. I probably find that to be refreshing. Yeah, I do too. You hear that he's encouraging them to pray for us. Oh, that? Yeah, that's, that's a Reverend. He's, he's, well, he was a local. I don't know where he's, where he's casting his, uh, his, his tunes lately.
[00:45:13] Ever since the, uh, well, are you guys outsiders? Uh, do you, you guys don't know about the, the incident? Oh, we're from Kentucky. Oh. Oh, wow. You're, you're, you're way out. Um, yeah. Well, there was a, there's been an incident with the local, uh, radio station, the radio tower. Some of the, some of the locals didn't, the guy, he said he was, uh, he said he was heading out and like going to a new, uh, location and, uh, people didn't take kindly to that.
[00:45:41] And so they kind of went up to the radio radio tower and. Well, they just, they caused some vandalism and I think maybe a fire broke out over there. You'll probably. You're setting us on a second set, another side quest. I'm sorry, sir. What? Well, I'm talking to you, Chris, you're setting us on another side quest to go start, start up the radio station. Right. That assumes I got in my notes for you guys to go check. Eight more sessions and I don't have to post any other game for an entire year, Chris.
[00:46:11] I'm just saying. God. The moonshine business, a band and a radio station. And the beach episode. And the beach episode. And God. Y'all go to Myrtle Beach and encounter some abandoned theme park. We're just, yeah, I just, I just run creepypastas in the Dresden universe. Yeah. There we go. Well, I'd love to meet the Reverend cause I'm a, I'm a warrior of God, my sale, but you know, I would get a hold of him.
[00:46:39] I don't rightly know if he's still in town. Uh, again, after the kerfuffle there, after the incident, but I mean, again, you can check out, uh, uh, you can check out where his, his, the radio station is. It's just up, uh, head, head, uh, head north from Olympus, uh, up to Alicia district. It should be on the way. I think it's just past the, uh, the falls reality. Well, if it's on the way to the mine, I mean, how could we not? Oh yeah. Yeah. It's a, it's a, yeah, it's a bit of a hike up the hill to get it.
[00:47:08] It's a, one of the higher, lower, higher hills in the falls, but. So again, you should be able to, you should still be able to eat. Like you look at it. You should still be able to see, uh, the, the tower. If the, uh, the mist clear up a little bit. Okay. So yeah, I'm aware I've given you guys another thing that you guys assume that I'm a list of encounters in Hickor Falls. We call those side quests. Thank you. Yeah. But yeah, it's a hammer and everything looks like a nail. Yeah.
[00:47:38] So if I, by the time I get done with it, everything is going to be nailed. Well, that's why we brought Aaron. Yeah. Oh God. He's just going to sleep with the dragon. Jesus Christ. It wouldn't be the first game. That's one way of putting it down. Yeah. Look, I love Trek as much as the next guy, but I really don't know. This is going to work. That's what Lizzie's like. No, no, let him cook. Really.
[00:48:07] She just wants him to die. I can Riker this if I have to, but. She said, I don't know for us. One punch. Yeah. So what if I take the medicine, do I get my stress back or is it just narrative medicine? Yeah. Are you sure you want to take Fae medicine? Or medicine from the Fae? The world. That's right. That's right. I was wondering, wasn't that RC Cola too? Okay. I'm good.
[00:48:36] Oh, I miss RC Cola so much. There is also a. No, you don't. Yes. Well, Adam, there is. Do you want a Fae point? Does anybody want a Fae point? Not really. I'm not. I'm not there. Yeah. Yeah. I was going to say, I put my head in as the Baron was hammering the, hammering the window shut. Yeah. Cause I was going to say you do, you, uh, anybody who pokes their head in does see, uh,
[00:49:00] take notice of a, it's as if the lights are like directionally like spotlighting bottles of a, uh, of a late one. Oh. Cranberry and, and, and, and, uh, cream, orange creamsicle and cherry and original. You kids these days. Cause I assume in, uh, like you could get an AL eight one in West Virginia in the seventies. Yeah. At least that close to Kentucky. Yeah.
[00:49:29] It's close enough to the area where it was being produced. So yeah. Yeah. It's a trick. They didn't roll out the cranberry until 1997. Oh, we get the special sock. The special sock. It's a trick. Get an ax. Kill him. Yeah. Yeah. It's a, yeah. Yeah. Unfortunately the, the, yeah, he is offering you very old looking, like you look, it's
[00:49:57] vintage looking, um, like Tylenol or painkillers. I, I, I think I'm, I don't think it's as bad as it feels, man. I think I'm good. I appreciate you. Will. Well, you, you watch out for those, those hooligans rolling around here. We better get on up and out of here. You have a good day now. Oh yeah. No, uh, you, same to you. And, and thanks for, uh, for, for calling or for, uh, what's the word? Uh, out of game.
[00:50:25] I was like, like calling off those, those, those thugs, sir. Running off. Yeah. Uh, thanks for, for running off those thugs for me. That really, I really appreciate it. Oh, my good buddy Baron did everything. All I did was just stick my head in the door. You didn't do anything. No thanks are necessary. Yeah. Jeremy, you did nothing. That's all right. You guys go unappreciated. But yeah. So you guys continue on past the, the convenience store. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:50:54] You'll hop back on the steer. And, uh, And share my theory that this place is still stuck in time in the 1970s, so to speak. So. Liam, you want to go take over a radio station? Do I want to take over a radio station? Yeah. I mean, yeah, I'm fucked, but I have my radio operators permit and everything. Honestly, that would take over a fucking radio station.
[00:51:21] I mean, it's really loud in this cab. Thank you, Josh. Lizzie, I'm going through a tunnel. I can't hear you. Prinkle, prinkle. I'm literally three feet from you. What? Yeah. You guys have left the convenience store and are heading further down the road. Mm-hmm. Probably talking about whether we should go fight a dragon or do something else or actually
[00:51:49] go take over a radio station. Let's go take over a radio station. I'm pretty sure that's already been decided. All right. I think that's the only thing that we've agreed on this entire game. Fire a radio station. Let's go. The radio station would also give us more information. Mm-hmm. And a high vantage point to take a look at this. I'm going to be awkward, but I'm sorry, guys. And a long rest. Yeah, clearly.
[00:52:14] To be fair, we have an oracle that will probably give us a bit more information in the form of the Reverend Coltisto. Mm-hmm. And frankly, I would like to meet the man because before that last broadcast, we didn't really have a prayer. But now we do. Now we're halfway there. Wow. All right. So you guys are continuing on. I'm sitting on a chair.
[00:52:44] It's, again, you're trekking and you're getting closer to the downtown area. There's a couple of other like side off like roads. Uh, some of them are half done. It looks like, uh, they, they started develop some, some new or the, it looked like there was the attempt to be made of, of some kind of developments by based on some of the model, the dilapidated model homes and such in this section, you guys have made to the eighties. Cause it looks like it looks like some of the architecture and some of the locale kind
[00:53:13] of like gives off that kind of eighties vibe. Well, I can't wait till we hit the nineties and everything turns to hyper color. Yeah. And everything is still kind of muted and like dark kind of like gray and greens from the, just between the mists and the pine or, and not pines, but the mists and the, just the, the heavy foliage of this, uh, you appear to be like, appears the town is kind of in the middle of what is in between a bunch of like hit rolling hills and, and
[00:53:40] like kind of in like the kind of in the valleys or in the, the, the sort of the lowlands, like many, uh, West Virginia and Kentucky towns tend to be. And then you guys can roll me all focus as you're approaching, but you're not quite in Olympus, uh, uh, major still zero. Also zero. Okay. Liam and I are just the best like buddy cop, aren't we? Yeah. Pretty much. Yeah. Who does number two work for?
[00:54:11] That's right, buddy. You tell him. It's a turd joke. I got a two at least. Okay. And what did Lizzie get? I got a three. I got a three. Oh, that was three. Okay. So Lizzie and, and, and the Baron, you hear coming from one of those dirt roads that goes off into the, you're coming. Oh God. Oh God. Off a dirt road. You hear off in the distance down one of the, the dirt roads that are kind of come off the main road through the mist.
[00:54:40] You hear kind of the very muffled screams of a man. I'm sure he's fine. And actually I was going to say, Caleb also hears that, but you, but, but Lester, but, but sorry, Liam and, or sorry, Lizzie and, and, and Baron, you also hear whistling that is approaching from that same road. Okay. Just like a whistling tune. Like somebody is whistling a tune. Oh, see, he's fine. He's whistling. I just imagine. I've got a point.
[00:55:07] Let's imagine that Liam and I are sitting there going, we're going through a tunnel and like rambling, like wrestling rappers. Yeah. Yeah. And yeah, you see if you guys, if you, are you guys just like, are you telling anybody to keep the stop or are you guys just going to drive past that, that road? Well, I'm pointing and then I'm going to pull out the binoculars that I packed with the field kid while we were reading our way in. Fair.
[00:55:36] Well, if I can spot anything with them. Okay. I guess make another focus just to see if you can see through the, the pea soup. That is the fog and mists. Or yeah, you, you think you see like off, like in the midst of the mists and stuff as it kind of like roils around and such. You, you think you see a figure walking down the side of the road towards you guys and
[00:56:02] behind him, like off farther in the distance, you think you see like a single house or like the shape of a house. And that, that seems to be where the screen, the muffled screaming that you're hearing is like farther than the figure. Whereas the whistling seems to be coming from the figure that you're seeing in the, in the mist. I'm going to info dump all of that to the party. So Caleb, it's your call. You're a warrior. God.
[00:56:29] Well, you all know, you all know my, my strategy anyway, as a player, I'll pay to play. I mean, to see, you know what I mean? So, I mean, I'm all in favor. Caleb's in favor of, well, we helped one guy out who was in a rather distressing state. We may be able to help another one out. All right. Come on. Super friends. All right. You guys tell Liam to turn, turn toward that dirt road.
[00:56:57] We can't tell him anything. Yeah. Is that dirt road towards the radio station? No, it seems to be going, it's going north. It's going south of the, it's, it's, it's on the, okay, hang on. I gotta like figure out. So you guys are going toward Olympus there on the main, on that road between Olymp, lower Alethea and Olympus on the map. That is the third, this is the third road going south off of that road. So like on your right.
[00:57:25] We're getting distracted boys. This is going to be another eight sessions. We're in Pond Country, part two. All right. Stop here. You're in the skid steer and keep driving. Yeah. Yeah. Very, very quickly. You guys see that there's just this guy, this, this, this man in a, what looks like something like a, like a postman sort of outfit.
[00:57:51] He's got a satchel, like, like he makes delivery, like, like packages, like delivery packages or mail. And he's just, uh, whistling to himself and, uh, walking down this, this road. And he, uh, he sees you guys as you're, as you're coming down. He like kind of like not startled, but like, just like, like, oh, they waves and like, he's going to continue on if you guys don't stop him. As, as you guys approach him, you guys also now start hearing this very faint, like screaming of a man farther, like down this road.
[00:58:22] Is it like panic, scraping or like? No, it's, it's, it's, it's like screams of duress. Oh, okay. All right. Oh God, don't stop. Yeah. Not that. No, no, no. I, we're in fairy, man. I'm not. I mean, fair. You're not, I'm not going to yuck somebody's yum. You're not, you're not wrong, but you get the feeling that Icker Falls is not that section of, of never, never. Not with that attitude.
[00:58:53] I mean, most of that's concentrated to the mall with all the, the holdra or the, the holdra. You got to know when to hold you. That was going to be the name of that fucking session. But then we got rocking the bane. So I was like, fuck it. All right. So buddy, is he? Yeah. Do you hear any screaming coming from down behind you? Yeah. He kind of like looks kind of perplexed. Like, uh, no. He like looked back. I was like, no.
[00:59:23] Should I? Yeah. Should I, sir? I mean, I don't, I don't hear anything. I've just been. Oh, that's fine. I mean, the only ones that down there is be a old mister or old, uh, shit. Where's my notes? Uh, old, old Layton is down there. I think he, uh, that I just dropped off some of his, his mail at his door, but he, I don't think he was there, but he's kind of a grouch anyway. So he usually doesn't like to see people at all. So I just kind of left the mail at the, as door.
[00:59:52] Oh, cool. You know, you know where a man can find the Reverend, uh, conquistador. Bautista. Oh, Bautista. I'm sorry. Oh, the, the radio DJ. I thought he left down. I know. I thought he left down beforehand. Oh yeah. Yeah. He's up. Oh, I think he lived out of his, out of the radio station up on the hill. A points like North, North, North East. And you guys look off and the mist does kind of part and like off in distance, there's
[01:00:22] like a big hill. One of the bigger hills around Icker Falls. And you do see the, the sign, you don't see any lights on it, but you do see like a, uh, like a tower or the, uh, the, the end of the, you see the top of a tower at the top of it. As I think up that way that if you follow the road, fill the main road, uh, main street, um, North, uh, through Olympus and, uh, and toward Alicia, it's just a couple of, it's, there's a one in, uh, there's a one in hill road that goes up, up there, uh, past the,
[01:00:51] Icker Falls Realty. All right. You guys, you guys are new down. You guys looking to buy, like, go shopping the, the Realty offices. I'm sure they'd, uh, say one of those nice places up in Alicia or even one of the nice places around there that they're developing. Uh, that's, that's always a possibility. We're always checking for some new places. All right. Well, uh, I hope to see you guys again soon. If I have a good one. Yeah. And he starts whistling. It's, it's the, uh, leave the beaver whistle or tune. All right.
[01:01:22] Yeah. Well, that was the fishing hole. I think that's the Andy Griffith. Yeah. Oh, you're right. Yeah. That's the one I'm, that's the one I meant actually. Sorry. That's, that's the one I meant. The Andy Griffith show. So. What about, so look, I, I'm starting to catch on that these people are, this is almost like a damn purgatory. It seems like. Was that man in a zombie dead man too? No, he was actually quite, he was quite lively.
[01:01:49] He, he, his, his cheeks were a little like sallow, but like otherwise, and he was, he was pretty thin, but like, otherwise he looked like pretty alive. All right. All right. He looked mostly alive. Yeah. Like, like maybe, maybe he should, he could eat a sandwich. Who could really go for a hoagie somewhere around here, but. Good. Philly cheesesteak somewhere. Yeah. Do y'all like, I don't know. It just seems like.
[01:02:17] You guys do still hear the screaming down the road. Y'all want to go. Oh man. I, I still feel like, like my Spidey sense is tingling and that, that sounds like a trap. It really does. You're right. Remember. You're in the. Never, never. Everything's a trap. Yeah. And I believe it was your human son, Sue, who once said that an ambush that you are aware of becomes an ambush for the ambush. She instead. It's not an ambush. It's a face off.
[01:02:46] So art of war. I'm sure you've read it's Nicholas cage. Actually, I was. You haven't. Star Lord from the newest guardians of galaxy. But I'm sorry. I don't expect the panther to be a heavy reader. Why not? I'm sorry. Who taught it to read? He's a baron of a, of, of an entire location. He's a, he. I do feel like your character should show a signatory of the accords a little bit more respect.
[01:03:16] I am far more than suspect in my contract. And then they wonder why they send you to the, the Athens of, uh, of North America. No, I stopped wondering about a while ago. Now look, Liz, you figured it out. Also, sorry, Adam, for calling your calling more head, the acid of America. I don't know. I went to college here, but Lizzie, you ought to be careful, man. Talk about him. Cause you got the moon of Damocles on you. Oh no. I might lose my job.
[01:03:45] I've been down that road before. I'm still here. So I'll tell you what guys, well, I'll cut you a slate easy. Like I've already went this far. I'd feel bad if I stopped, but next time you make a decision, whether we intervene. Huh? All right. We'll follow your lead, Caleb. So you're continuing down the dirt road. Well, shit. Yeah. Here we go again. All right. So you detour down this, uh,
[01:04:10] you detour down this dirt road and, uh, yeah, sure enough, as you guys get close, you get farther down it, the miss kind of exposes this, uh, two story, nice two story home, probably like made in like the seventies or eighties. It's, it's seen some better time, some, some better times because probably cause of the, uh, the, uh, condensation of the, of the location. It hasn't really been kept very well recently.
[01:04:36] And, uh, yeah, you, you get, you get, as you guys get approached closer and closer, you guys hear the, uh, the screaming of a man in duress louder and louder. It sounds like it's coming from the second floor. You think man with a life alert bracelet bracelet, he's falling and he can't get out. It is the eighties. Yeah. So I gotta do this. Chris. I'm sorry. Are you? Help. Help somebody. Help.
[01:05:06] Help me. Are you okay? No, I'm not fucking. Okay. Get them here and fucking help me. You piece of shit. God fucking. Oh, fuck. Well, if you're going to be rude about it, we're going to go home. Yeah. He's just like cussing. Like, it's like, like you wait, you wait, you can hear me. Oh, thank God. I'm coming. I'm going through the floor. I'm, I'm, I'm passing through the, uh, passing through the ceiling. That sounds like a problem.
[01:05:35] It sounds like a problem. I'm just going to pop out my climbers. And I'm just going to go up the side of the building. I'm really confused. Like, how are you passing through the floor, sir? I don't know. I just started floating up to the ceiling and now I'm passing. I'm like kind of going through the, through the ceiling and the, uh, like, like molasses. I was going to say the ceiling, the ceiling is the opposite of falling through the floor, the floor on the second floor. God damn it.
[01:06:05] Just get in here and help me. I, I last year, I mean, he spoke with some at West Virginia homegrown. He's probably just laying on his bed, but we better go in and check. I think we got to get some for the ride home. So we got weed from Perry. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That'll help. Let's go. I'm a cautiously open the front door while the Baron's doing that. Uh, you want to do, you want to actually, I can sit out here. If you want to go in there and do the, do something and I can watch this kid steer. Liam.
[01:06:36] I know I brought you out of the situation, but you'd like to clean it up for me. Yeah. Liam, you want to do something? I'm just saying as a player, not as a character. I'm not sure I know how to clean up this mess. Well, like I do here. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. All right. I want to try if, if the Baron's going in doing second story work, I'm going to try and sneak in the front door. Okay. The door is locked.
[01:07:05] Well, I'm going to try and pop that locked in. All right. Roll Kyle. That thing that I, I obviously know that you do really well. Yeah. That's a six. Yeah. All right. The door. I was just going to jam my knife into it and watch it evaporate. Cause it's in Perry. Yeah. The door, the door is your bitch. Yeah. You do. Do you pick up the, the mail that's like left on the, on the, on the, on the step. Yeah. I'm going to be nice about it. You do see that the mat, um, on this guy, Matt literally says fucking piss off.
[01:07:35] Like it's not a welcome. It's a welcome mat, but it says piss off on it. I already liked this guy. Yeah. I'm in, but he told me to piss off. And you feel all your power leave you. Cause you up top. And that was actually, do you want a fate point? Anybody who's trying to get inside this house? Do you want a fate point? I mean, I'll just turn around and leave. You know what? I'll take it. Okay. Cause as you start, I assume like Baron, you, uh, you try to get in through like a, the second floor window. Yes.
[01:08:05] Yeah. So you, you open the window and go in and you do not feel good at all. As soon as you, you enter, like, it's that kind of thing where like you're trespassing on somebody's like home. I'm going to pop the door open, poke my head and be like, sir, this thing tells me to piss off. Is that true? Normally? Yes. But I, I do need help, please. That mean I can come in? How about my friend? Why are you inviting us in? Roll, somebody roll a, roll a, uh, a, and. Don't worry guys. I got this.
[01:08:36] A charm of some kind or like a persuasion. That'd be Guile. Yeah. Let me roll these guys. Roll a Guile. Yeah. Somebody roll a Guile. That's a four. Oh. Yeah. Fucking yes. Help. I'll say if not, we can go home. Like you can stay halfway through the floor. That's fine with us. No, I don't know. I'm going to go through the, into the sky. Please, please help me. That would be unfortunate. Yes. Come on in. Tie a string around him. It'll be fine. Tie a string around him.
[01:09:04] Does that aggressive feeling leave? When he says magic words? Yes. It does leave. Mermer. Mermer. I'll take that point. Yeah. Thank you. You, uh, you go inside and yeah, you hear him screaming from like the Lester, you see from the, from the ground level, you see, you hear him screaming from like, what looks like a living room, kind of like off the, off the main hallway. And, and for the Baron, you, you hear him like, it sounds like it's coming from downstairs.
[01:09:34] He's yelling and sure enough, like you looked at, you look kind of, you know, if you, if you look in that living room there, Lester, you see that he is halfway through his, his ceiling. And he also looks kind of partially transparent. It's as it's as if he was like sitting on a, a rocking chair that's below or like not rocking chair, but like a large recliner below him watching static on a television.
[01:09:58] And then he, he began floating up into the, uh, the roof above him or the ceiling above him. How'd you get yourself into this situation? This seems rather peculiar. I, I have the foggiest idea. I was just doing what I normally do on a, on a, on a fine day like this. So just what, reading the paper and, and, and watching my, my shows. And then I just started, I started floating. So this man looks very portly and looks like he's in his like fifties or sixties.
[01:10:29] Very, very grouchy and wrinkled kind of man. Well, I'm at a loss for words. I've never seen a man float halfway through a ceiling before. Well, now you have now. Can you get me down? Please use him. I'm using my, I'm using please. Maybe. I don't know. I want to, does it, do you have any blankets or is there any blankets or anything sitting on the ground or on the couch or anything? Yeah. There's like one of those like knitted, like comforters on the, on the, around, around
[01:10:58] a couch that's in the, in there. I'm going to grab a hold of it. I would say grab the power cord from, well, maybe not the power cord, but the, the tie back from the drapes. Oh yeah. And yeah, Baron, if you, if you, you turn, you walk out, out of the bedroom that you're in, or it looks like it, it looks like it's like a guest room or something like that. Like all, there's a bunch of like clothes, like there's a bunch of like those dust cloths on everything. And then you go to the next room over and it looks like it's, it's, it's probably like
[01:11:28] the bedroom he uses. And yeah, you see him, his legs just kind of flailing in the flailing, partially transparent through the, through the floor next to the bed. Baron, can you like push it, put your hand on his head and push him back down? Well, not his hand, not his head. You should see the head. I'm going to push his feet. You try and your hands go through like molasses and you're like, oh, fuck that tickles. What are you doing up there? Tickle, tickle. Tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle. Ah!
[01:11:57] It's like a tank and Rose or a tank and Roxa from a razor from, from human T2. So he can use who's a grouchy old man. Who's a grouchy old man. Yeah. He's just like bitching and complaining more. So checking for anything in the room that is less solid that I could put on him and try to use that to push like say the pillow from the bed.
[01:12:26] Like, are you seeing if, if it's also kind of like transparent or. Yeah. No, no. Everything else looks like regular, like normal, like solid, normal. He appears to be the only one that's kind of like in this weird, like ghost, like somewhere between being a physical human being and a ghost. So, uh, I really wish I'd have taken that. I really wish I'd have taken that second tier cloak of shadows. I could have just reached up and pulled him down. Yeah. Like, there you go, buddy.
[01:12:56] Yeah. Oh, thank you. Yeah. Into the backpack. Let's see. To crowbar. Here we go. Nice iron crowbar. As he evaporates. Bye. This is very gently touch it to the bottoms of his feet to see if the iron is more solid. Thinking that that's a ghost. So one of the components to ghost dust is iron filings. Yeah.
[01:13:27] And it will have the effect of grounding. And depleted uranium. Yeah, true. You. While I have the bankroll for that, the government does not look kindly on people that just have it for no real reason. One of the many failings of the American system. Yeah. Our healthcare system. I'll hook you up again. I'll hook you up again. No uranium. No depleted uranium rounds. God damn it. They just won't let us have fun. Yeah. I know a guy. I'll hook you up next time.
[01:13:57] Don't let us enjoy ourselves or anything. Yeah. They just don't like America. Yeah. So he starts out of his, you get a little bit more purchase with the iron or the crowbar, but it's, it's still kind of goes through. And he's just like, ah, what? I don't know. That burns. What are you, what are you doing up there? You asshole. So pull the crowbar back. I was trying to see if we could get a little bit more purchase this way. With, with what?
[01:14:26] A hot iron with like a, like a, a hot iron. Like you're burning. No, hold. It's cold iron. I swear. It felt hot to me. Yeah. He's like, yeah. I think you've got an allergy, sir. Can I try to try and think this through? Like how he got into the situation and maybe like, if there's something in my past that I've seen this before. Yeah. You could try rolling into that intelligence. Sure. I'm great. Intellect. Is that it? Yeah. I actually did get a four.
[01:14:55] A four. So you've, you know, the, like the never, never and like the, the fey are, they're sort of like abstract ideas and concepts manifest. Mm-hmm. You're, you're looking around this man's house and he's got no photos of, of anybody. Like no loved ones, no nothing. Uh, you looked at, you remember like looking outside, like his lawn was like unkept and like, like his garden, like the, the near garden was like wilted and like nothing was growing.
[01:15:24] Uh, even like the postman said, like the guy was like a grouch and like to keep him to himself. And this guy's attitude is like very like standoffish toward you guys, even though you're trying to help them. Mm-hmm. You get the idea that maybe this guy's suffering, like he, he's turning into, or he's fading away and, and maybe turning into a ghost himself because he's cut himself off from his own humanity. Oh, cause he's an asshole. He's turned into a ghost. Yeah. In this, in this never, never space.
[01:15:53] All right. I can relate. Uh, do you want to take a faith point? Sure. All right. You, you, uh, you say I can relate as, as Lester's mentioned and all this stuff. And then you two start like float, begin floating off the ground and start. Did you come into, did you come in the house? Okay. I don't like, you can, you can be outside if you want. It's going to be funnier. Yeah. And yeah, you start like, why, why, why is, why is things moving? Is it?
[01:16:22] And you're just like kind of boiling in your own thoughts. And then a moment later, you realize you're about halfway off the ground, like halfway up the, up the house. Yeah. Away from the ground. Yes. Yeah. Lester, Caleb and Liam, you look on as, uh, as Lizzie just begins floating up into the sky and starts going slightly transparent. Somebody got that string. Oh no. What can we ever do? Looks to Liam.
[01:16:52] Oh my. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. I cut you off there. No, no, it's fine. It's fine. We're all fine here. Oh, darn. How are you? Lizzie. No. Oh, that you heard. I'm sorry. I'm going through a tunnel. I can't, I can't hear you. It's a bad connection. Can you hear me now? It's all the static. As she starts trying to like call out to you guys as well.
[01:17:21] She, her voice starts getting hollow and almost like she's getting farther away, but like, not like naturally. Well, I'm going to look out the window for a moment. I've got a, I've got a intellect roll on this one. Bye Lizzie. Hope you find your dad. I'm just going to look out. I'm going to say, Lizzie, if you ghost away, that means I win.
[01:17:47] And you know, you can't leave with that hanging over your head. I trust you'll do the right thing. Can I just make a sheer willpower roll? Yeah. Yeah. Make a, try to make a focus, try and like focus your humanity. I know that there is no love here, but I assume that there is plenty of spite. Spite is dead. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:18:18] Hold on. I'm looking to see what I can do. If I can give myself a bonus. This is going to be a pretty hard focus. Roll. Force a will. Be like, no, I will not let you win. I'm going to have to spend that faith. You know what? Actually, I, I, I will allow force to be used as a force of will to try and do that. It's like, no, but it will be a pretty hard roll. Like a hard dot check. So all right.
[01:18:47] I'm going to phone that faith point instantly. And sorry, if puppies going after the squeaker. I hear that. Yeah. I didn't even know what that noise was. I thought it was like a machine. Sounded like bed springs. Yeah. What the hell's going on over there? What is Josh doing? Taking that away from him. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Back with his mom. Five.
[01:19:17] Five. Five. That's pretty well. It's, it's, it is, but like. It wasn't enough. It's, it, it actually, it. You are close is Lizzie to the window. She's probably about like five. She's probably about like five or 10 feet away. Like. Yeah. Okay. At this point, she's near the roof or she's, she's, she's, she's, she's also like getting close to the, the, the roof of the house. So. Okay.
[01:19:46] So five feet. That's within my reach. I'm going to tag my fate point for, I don't give a damn about my bad reputation. Okay. And. Just this Watts. I am going to. Throw away the station for a moment. And save Lizzie by grabbing her hand and yanking her in. Wow. All right. That would be. I guess another. Yeah. Force roll. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:20:16] So that's going to be a five. A five. That's still not enough. So you will burn a second fate point for, you know what? Walk like a man. Yeah. No, that's, that's also pretty accurate. Cause you're, you're trying to like force your humanity. You're the, your learned humanity to this person. Yeah. Okay. Uh, so that's. Especially fits for this. Cause I know that nobody else in the team can see her. Yeah.
[01:20:43] So once I yank her into the window, I am going to whisper into her ear. No one will ever believe you. Yeah. So that just gives you a plus two and gives it a bumps up to a seven. That bumps it up to a seven. Yep. Then that will do it as you guys think you hear like the radio sputter. That's the power of love. No, no. Huey Lewis. Huey Lewis in the news. Yeah. But yeah, he, yeah, you, you, your firsthand like passes through hers as she's like kind
[01:21:13] of just like, I guess, uh, like, would you be like, like, ah, like, like just kind of flailing a little bit out there in the sky. Lizzie. Josh. He's fucking a dog. He's muted. Uh, yeah. So he, yeah, he, he was flailing. Lizzie was flailing. And so you like tried to catch your arm with the first time and it kind of passed through, but then you're just like, nope. And then you grabbed it with the other arm, the other hand with the other arm and, and yanked her into the, uh, into the house basically into a hug as you guys hit the ground.
[01:21:44] And then, yeah, you whisper as like, no one will ever believe you. Yeah. Hey guys, y'all want me to try to pull the old man down? I mean, convince him to be a person. Yeah. It seems like every time, everything I've come up with, it seems because he's a complete asshole, cut himself off from everybody is the reason he's turning himself into a ghost and flying away. Oh, we just need something to get him grounded. Yeah. Check the mail. Sure.
[01:22:13] The mailman did just drop off his mail. What does he have in there? You're grounded. Sir, what's your name? Oh, name, Leighton. My name's Leighton. I'm going to flip through his mail. Leighton, Leighton, Leighton. Bill. You guys are spending an awful lot of time wasting, uh, wasting trying to help me. We can leave if you want us to go. Oh, that'd be just like assholes, like strangers. Like that's why I don't trust anybody. He just goes on. You're the one that's currently stuck in the ceiling roof.
[01:22:43] Uh, so you're, you're checking his mail. Yeah. Yeah. Like bill bills, bills, bills. Are you worried about your car's extended warranty? Fuck no. Me neither. All right. I'm gonna walk up and do some magic pocket. All right. Uh, Hey, well, okay. So you, uh, if you, before you do that, Lee, uh, Lester, uh, roll me a, roll me a, a focus. Sure. Yeah. As you're just kind of like sifting through his mail, trying to like find something. That's a two.
[01:23:12] I'll publish the courthouse there, Jeremy. You failed it. I'll say, Ed McMahon, has he stopped by? Woo! No. Sorry, is that the right guy or, I think of the right guy or I think of the, uh. No, you are not. Ed McMahon. Yes. Ha ha. So I was thinking of, uh, the WWE. You're thinking of Ric Flair. Ric Flair. Yeah. For sure. I always get like McMahon and Ric Flair confused. Well, this guy was a, was a sidekick of Johnny Carson back in the eighties.
[01:23:39] And he did the, in America, we had something called the publisher's clearinghouse, which is like this big scam, but they'd mail out something and you do something and you could be a winner of a million dollars and all that. I don't know if I hit me. You had to subscribe to just the right blend of magazines. Okay. And if you did, then you got entered into a drawing and then once a year, one lucky person would get a gigantic prop check that said that it was worth a million dollars.
[01:24:08] But after taxes, it was more like 280,000 or so. Yeah. Wow. And then, and then he also did the, the price is right. Uh, all right. Well, I will say the, the, the, the letter you do find is actually from a horticulture, an Acre Falls horticultural society. It looks like it's actually written, like, like handwritten address and like, uh, to, to Layton, Layton Cleary. I didn't know that. I didn't know that. Last name.
[01:24:39] Uh, Mr. Layton. Uh, it's Layton is my first name. Okay. Layton. Uh, I mean, do you want me? Do you mind if I call you Layton? Whatever. Yeah. What are you doing? Get me down. I'm looking through your mail. Leave me alone. All I got in there is, it's just going to be, it's just going to be bills. No, this one's about a horticultural society. It seems like you like plants. What? Yeah. Do you, do you open it? Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
[01:25:07] You open it and it's actually like a handwritten letter to Layton saying like, like a society misses him. And, uh, like, like they'd, they'd love for him to come to one of their lunches next week. And it's, it's signed with hugs and kiss. Uh, a, uh, a, uh, uh, a Rose, uh, MacArthur. Can I know a Rose MacArthur? He like paw, like kind of like he's pausing and like, kind of, you think he gets a little bit more solid? I was like, Rose? Yeah.
[01:25:37] I know Rose. I hate to tell you this, but I think she's kind of sweet on you, sir. What? No, no, no. If you get your ass down here, I can prove it to you. Read it aloud. My dearest Layton. My dearest Layton. It is Layton. I do. Uh, we, we did miss you at the horticultural society. Music. And I do it in the exact same Ken's Burden's voice. Yeah. That, that music, that civil war music starts playing. And then I bring up the music and I start playing the tin whistle.
[01:26:09] My heart must go on. We'll start playing. God. You could probably do that with your magic too. Yes, I can. All right. Yeah. So, uh, if you're doing that role, you got, yes, somebody can, yes, can also assist him if you want, but you can, uh, you can make a role to try and, um, like, Can I Bible verse him for, to assist? Uh, sure. Yeah. Mr. Layton, sir. I won't start doing that in the South. I'm still in civil war letter. It was my dearest, Mr. Layton.
[01:26:38] I look fondly upon our days. 315. No, but, uh, when will my husband come back from wall? Mr. Layton, even the postman, when we were walking in, I mentioned that you were kind of disconnected from people, but in the book of Proverbs, book 11, verse 17, it says the man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man only hurts himself. Look, you have a lot to offer people. You have a lot to offer that mailman.
[01:27:07] Man, you definitely got a lot to offer the fine young lady who wrote you. Damn. I'm still slipping into antebellum. Uh, you got, you got an awful lot to offer the horticulture society and this young lady herself. So like, I mean, come on down here, turn off the TV and was write this lady back. Go see her. That's right. So do I need to roll something? No, you, you can give a, with that, you can give a plus one Lester a plus two.
[01:27:37] Oh, plus two. My dear, Lester. Oh, fantastic. I'll say I'm playing the 10 plus one. I just want to run a game that's just, like, for you guys to just do all that. Just like my dearest. If, if you gave me a plus two, that's an eight. Oh Jesus. Yeah. So yeah, he's, yeah, he like, he just immediately snaps himself down. Rose. He's just bubbling, like, like, like kind of like bubbling and like, like his, like, like his crying and stuff of that.
[01:28:03] And it's like, kind of just his, his, his kind of angry frown kind of becomes more of a softer frown of like, of, of sadness and like, even like hope. And then he just goes like, ah, it just hits the ground. Like that. I Carly scene as he's, as he's slowly starting to reform. I'm like sliding the recliner underneath him. Like trying to line it up. Okay. Yeah. That's going to be a haste. Cause he is coming down fast. I ain't gonna happen, but we're going to find out.
[01:28:33] It's a two. I mean, I got him on the arm of the dead at the very least. Yeah. Cracks his neck dies. Well, I tried. No, um, sorry. Yeah. My bad. No, he didn't die. But like, yeah, it definitely like hurt himself as he like hit the, the, the recliner and then like kind of bounced. I hold my hand out. I'm like, sir, y'all, you seem to be a slight more on the corporeal side. Yeah.
[01:29:03] Yeah. Well, thank you. He just like gives you a big hug, like a bear hug. Oh, oh, oh, we're doing this. All right. I had a hug. Thank you. Oh, I like the letter. Like, see, I wasn't lying to you. He like, like, yeah, like looks at that as a whole. Just like they do. They do care. They do care. I do need you. And it like, look, it starts walking like over to like the kitchen, but like, but. Calum, you're having the ways. Oh, sir. Thank you. And he gives you a big hug. I want everybody. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:29:31] Anybody who's in the house, who's like is in proximity to him, it runs the danger of getting a bear hug. You're still top. Yeah. What is it? It's Christmas morning, sir. It's very similar to Scrooge on Christmas day. Go find the Picus goose. Yeah. You, you, you suddenly, he certainly looks like a very, like a slightly pudgier version of the 1951 Scrooge. I can't remember that guy's Angus something. Alistair Sims. Yeah. Alistair Sims. Yeah.
[01:30:01] He's a pudgier version of Alistair Sims. There's still time. Yeah. There's still time. Yeah. By the way, that's actually my dad's like favorite version of the Christmas Carol. He watched, we, he will come home after we've like done Christmas Eve dinner at the Italian relatives. And at one, like 12 or one o'clock in the morning, he will sit down and find that version no matter where. And what we will sit down and watch that before we go to bed.
[01:30:31] I'm still a fan of the Muppet version. So. Oh yeah. No, that's my version. But like, I, I, I'm start recently in the last couple of years I've had, uh, like one of my Christmas traditions has been actually like sitting down with like my folks and watching the, uh, Alistair Sims screwed or a Christmas Carol. Nice. Yeah. But yeah. So yeah, he's, he's going to his kitchen to grab like a, a, a pen and, uh, and a notepad.
[01:30:59] You, you might want to do yourself a favor, clean this place up a little bit, invite your lady over, get a shower. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I will. Thank you, sirs. And I'm sorry. I'm sorry for the, for the, for the, the hostilities I had. I, I, I wasn't myself. I was, I was in, I was in a dark place. Yeah. You might want to get a, get rid of the, uh, the welcome mat that says piss off. I mean, that's a little off, I'll put into the ladies. Oh Lord. I really. Oh no. Oh, like, yeah.
[01:31:28] Grabs that and like kind of runs out of the kitchen and runs over and like throws that like just throws it off into the mists. He eats it away. Yeah. And might I also suggest perhaps a bit more of an inviting color in here. I understand that humans of your age generally prefer wallpaper with ducks. Oh. Or maybe be something a little bit more blue.
[01:31:57] Oh, blue is very welcoming. I think not this. La da de la da da. I understand that people feel that top is very soothing, but it's also the same color. They paint hospitals. You don't want this room to smell or to invite death. Do you make it invite life? Not except for tea. And that's on Sundays. No. And, uh, uh, if you see the postman again, tell him I'm sorry for all the times I've, I've cussed him out and tell him to piss off and such.
[01:32:27] Maybe I'll, maybe I'll invite him over for a, for a beer sometime. You should. He seemed like a good dude. He does seem nice. Perhaps leave him a little gift card or something and say, thank you for your service. Like put it in the mailbox address to him. I understand they like those personal touches. Write it yourself. Write a little note. Don't type it. Write it. Yeah. Yeah. Write it. Cause I don't have a typewriter. It's practical.
[01:32:58] Well, so you look around and you notice like, yeah, his house is very eighties or like early nineties. Like there isn't a lot of like digital tech. So there's a flat brush on his coffee table. Yeah. He's wearing, he's wearing, was it leg warmers? Yeah. Leg warmers and slap bracelets. And a fanny pack. Uh, at least he didn't wear junko jeans. Oh, he's got those on there. That's the mid nineties. All right. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:33:26] You, you've, you've saved this man's soul and then brought back his humanity. You wouldn't happen to know where a Reverend Coltiso lives, would you? Uh, no. Uh, uh, uh, I don't know. I think I've heard the man on the, on the radio, but I haven't heard recently. You wouldn't have to know anything about the mines, would you? They're open again? Are they? Is everybody working there? I thought they closed down in the, in the early, not in the, in the, in the 19, in the
[01:33:56] 19 hundreds, some kind of, some kind of an accident or fire or a collapse. I think. Yeah. It was a collapse that happened. Killed a bunch of, killed a bunch of miners. Uh, they never, they never got home. Oh, all right. Then. Yes. The companies tend to look very badly. Things that kill that many children. It's like a mistake. Like mine. Miners, not minors. Yeah. It's a double. Yes. I too. Love galaxy quest.
[01:34:29] But yeah, so yeah, he's, he's going to write that letter to, to Rose. And you, yeah, again, you, it seems like you guys have like, you see like, like the, some of the, the mist is starting to kind of part on, there's a little ray of sunlight kind of dawning on this man's property. All right. Then. Caitlin, there is something be something to be said about these good deeds, isn't there? It feels pretty good. Don't it? Doesn't feel too bad. You guys outside as you guys are getting outside, like congratulating yourselves.
[01:34:58] You hear a deep thrumming, like reptilian, like screech that kind of just permeates the ground around you guys and a rumbling. Everybody roll force to stay on your, on your toes. Oh, that's good for Liam because Liam's in the, in the, in the, in the mad cat. And it's just, Liam clings tenaciously to the, he's like, no, hold his butt. He's the control. Thank you. Yeah.
[01:35:26] No, roll, roll force as well, because you got to like keep this thing from like tilting or, or tipping over it. Nope. That's a few thousand pounds, man. It's a, it's a, it's a pretty impressive earthquake. All right. So my force is to see how bad ass I am. They're done. Well, you're more bad ass than a skid steer. Oh yeah. I forgot the plot was over that way. Yeah. All right. So these feel good. Thud. It's like, these skids feel pretty good.
[01:35:55] Plot more than a plot's that way. Yeah. Just like, and usually that, that light, that, that sunlight that was coming down on the house kind of dims a little bit, but doesn't completely go away. So, but, and the ground does eventually settle again. And Liam, you were in risk of, of toppling the, uh, the madcap, but you managed to like get, keep it on, keep it on, on both treads. I really want to enchant something that plays something, some sappy 80s song and give it to that guy for his date.
[01:36:25] Like, cause play this. It's careless whisper. Yeah. Just some Pat Benatar playing. Yeah. No, no. Don't you forget about me. That's also the, that's, that's a very odd one actually. Cause I, there's only more time if the plot wasn't screaming at us. Yep. You guys must continue on. You're, you're, you're pissing off. You're pissing off the, uh, the, uh, the, the, the monster that's been, the monster's like, they're not paying attention to me.
[01:36:56] Or perhaps you are doing something that's pissing it off and like, like weakening it perhaps. Oh, okay. Well there might be that, but yeah, it could be that it's like, get over here. Or it could be like, that guy has a boom box. It's the eighties. Uh, as, as he's searching, it's a ghetto blaster. Unfortunately. Yeah. It's like one of those little, like small things. Look guys, I'm starting to get her onto this here. Hang on. Sorry. Oh, you're fine. Yeah.
[01:37:26] Keep talking. I'm going to, I got to hunt down something. See if I, see if we still have it. Don't you forget about me. So gentlemen, what it's starting to look like here is this, maybe this dragon's actually drawn power from the misery that it's inflicted on these people over and over again and stuff like that. We've just helped out two individuals and look at the site, the sun shining a bit brighter here.
[01:37:51] And it, there's no coincidence that this thing's screeching and getting all mad and stuff. Whenever we help this old man out, maybe we could go up there and try to bare knuckle it and raw dog it right. You know, we were planning on, or maybe we could kind of stack the deck in our favor. Maybe if we found the Reverend Tostito. Tostito. Reverend Coltisto. Yeah. Reverend Tostito.
[01:38:21] Wait, you can just pronounce my character's name for eight sessions. Fuck it. I can call him Reverend. Hey, I'm not the villain here. Well, actually I am the villain, but Reverend Pizza Rolls. Now you're doing it on purpose. Oh, I found it. I found the, uh, what I was looking for. Sorry. It's just an image of an image of the, uh, the radio that the guy has. Cause the one that I had growing up. So while you guys are in there talking, I'm actually in there rigging that guy's radio
[01:38:49] to play whenever his lady walks in and play something sassy or say something sappy. This is going to be like Dresden files, dating simulator. You know, this God, God, Aaron, is this what you wanted? Is this, is this what you wanted in your Dresden game? Uh, words, words and things where it's cannot date. Uh huh.
[01:39:15] And we're going to destroy this dragon with either the power of friendship or the power of love. Love. That's the power of love. Aaron, are you like, uh, you know, player talk to her? Are you kind of, what's your opinion of this? Should we just keep doing good deeds? So hopefully stack the deck in our favor, or should we just go ahead and like, you know, slugging it out. Yeah. What do you want to do?
[01:39:43] Cause we like, you know, we've done a cut. We've done two of these now and I just didn't know what you, you know, what your feelings with this was. Well, I mean, story wise, if we, if we kill the dragon, then these good deeds are going to go left undone or it'll fall under the king, the still a king. Or we do the good deeds and possibly save some souls in the, in the, the process. And then we still get to fight a dragon. Yes.
[01:40:13] Mm hmm. Okay. So let's do the good deeds. We've been real, we've been real good about taking bullets out of every bullet at every gun. That is true. Yeah. So yeah, you guys are, I guess like still on that dirt road where a Layton's house is, but you guys have left Layton's house and you guys are just trying to figure out where you're going next. So do we see the, uh, the postman? Cause he's on foot.
[01:40:40] Oh, well he's still like, you guys like left him like bat. Like he was, he was getting close to the LA, the main strip or like the main road. So like, he's probably, you, you probably don't see him anymore. So. Did we see a cat? No. So there was no black and white cat. No, there was no mister. No. And so the postman's name was also not Pat. No, no. Okay. I don't actually know if you guys got the name of the postman.
[01:41:10] I also don't know if I have a name for the postman. You will now. We'll fucking track that fucker down. Let me, let me go. Let me, let me, let me take the creepypasta story that this is based off of. Hey, sometimes I just got to check and make sure that he's not a beloved childhood television character. That's fair. Mr. McFeely. No postman Pat and his black and white cat. I'm sorry. I'm not familiar with that one. Uh, it might've been.
[01:41:38] I was going to say Mr. Green jeans, but I would have sounded old. Oh, this is what would have made you sound old, David? Jesus. Like sixies. What? Mm hmm. Yeah. Captain kangaroo. A bit before my time. I remember Captain kangaroo. I remember watching it. Me too. Reruns on PBF. Remember fireman Sam? Nope. I think, I think that was actually, it was actually like a, one of those like stop motion
[01:42:09] cartoon shows. Oh, okay. Well, Hey, the first thing that pops up when I type in the name of this, the sacred fall story is actually my deviant, our title card for the episode. We did. We reviewed it. That's awesome. All right. So let me see. Where's the postman? He's a delivery man, but I made him a postman in the store. Technically he's a little delivery man. No, I don't, apparently I don't think he has a, I don't think he has a name in the story.
[01:42:38] It's with Steven. It is. I christened the Steven. Oh, postman. Yeah. I guess it's. You gotta be in line with Chris. I christened the Sarah. Yeah. Sarah. Yeah. It's, it's Sarah. C R O because it's bench. Wow. Yeah. The story lyrics is like, like, it's always Michael Sarah delivery man. It's what postman as played by Michael Sarah. Yeah. Yeah. His name is Mike. Yeah. I do like Scott.
[01:43:08] All right. So yeah, you guys are. So yeah, I guess that's what he looks like. That looks like a sallow taller version of Michael, of Michael Sarah. Is Scott here? He just left. I love, I do love that scene. That's my favorite scene. There's so many good scenes with that movie, honestly. Like even like the fight around Casa Loma. Cause I was like, Oh, I know that place. I know those. Oh, I know those. It's like Casa Lundi. Yeah. I also.
[01:43:35] Oh, I know those, the, the, that, uh, that, that's that staircase that he's, he's trying to grind down. I've seen those. I've walked up those stairs. Yeah. Yeah. Same. I hate those stairs. Anyway. So yeah, you guys are, you guys got, you guys get back onto the main road to toward Olympus and I'll say, yeah, you can, you can see the postman. He's, he's whistling and walking back toward downtown Olympus. So.
[01:44:03] Well, I say we roll over and tell him that he has a new friend that wants to go say hi and have, have a beer with him. Okay. So yeah, you, you stop him. It's like, Oh, Hey, uh, you, you, you, you, do you guys, uh, find a item. Deep pace. So that he can do in his run. Hey. Yeah. Like you'd like turn it off. He's going to start turning off another road as he's, as he like kind of waves. You guys like, bye. Hold on a sec. Oh yeah. Yeah. My man, uh, Layton up there.
[01:44:33] He, he said he wanted to apologize to you. He said he wanted to hang out and have a beer with you. Layton said that? Yeah. Yeah. He turned over a new leaf. Are you, are you sure the same Layton, like older guy, like a little bit bigger? I mean, pretty sure. Last time I saw him, he was stuck in a, he was stuck in a ceiling and now he's not. So now when you say kind of crotchety, you're understating, right? Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:45:02] Like, uh, I feel, I feel for the poor guy, but like, yeah, he's, he's always been a bit of a, a bit of a grouch. Yeah. Wait, he went, it was fun. Did he like fall through like his second floor? Like down to the, into the, the first floor? Let's just go with that. Yeah. I don't know if he was, oh, but he's okay. Yeah. Oh, okay. And say he wants, he's, did he has head then? Wait, he wants to, he wants to have a beer with me and he wants to apologize? Yeah.
[01:45:30] He, he had an epiphany. Well, well, all right. I guess like once I'm done my, my, my rounds here, I guess I'll, I'll take a, take a gander over to talk to the old guy. Yeah. Be careful, man. He, uh, he gives some pretty big bear hugs whenever he's excited. So. He like, just kind of like, like, like, like, like a dog, like that's confused, like tilts its head. Tilts his head. It's like, I, late. Our, our, our, wow. Yes. You're a crotchety old man. He's, he's had an epiphany. He thinks it's going to change his life.
[01:46:00] It's, he's going to turn over a new leaf. He's got to be a nicer man. Almost like he was visited by. There he goes. A grand total of four ghosts. That we're talking about the, the merits of capitalism and. Did. God. Yeah. He decided to pay his employee a living wage.
[01:46:27] Uh, honestly, sir, real quick before you go, we're doing, I'm doing a bit of ministering here and. You pointing us in Mr. Layton's direction. I did a great deal for us and did a great deal for him. Is there anyone else around town that. You know, of is kind of been kind of a shut in or been having some problems. Like we're just trying to do the Lord's good work. Please. Are there any more encounters we can come across? Well, well, um, I mean, there's.
[01:46:58] I mean, there, there is the, uh, there's that, that carnival or there's that carnival tent that popped up in the north part of town. You might want to check out is like, I think it's like, I mean, that's been like the most happening thing right now. I've seen a lot of, I've seen a lot of folks going that way. Not sure about anything. Like they need any trouble or in that, but it seems to be, there's something going on for the north part of town. It's the southern part of town. It's down near the, uh, down near the rail station. Uh, they came in on the, one of the trains.
[01:47:26] The, uh, the, the, the showman that's there, uh, the, some kind of carnival man or something like that set up a tent. And that's down in the, uh, that's down near Alethea, uh, out in like one of the fields, uh, near the river. And then, I mean, I've heard, I've, I've been hearing, there's some kind of commotion up north, I think, up by the, uh, by the burned out. There's a, there's a fire recently. The, uh, just, just north of here, no, north and, uh, north of downtown by the, one of our hotels.
[01:47:55] Burned down. And there's been a, but there's been a bit of a commotion ever since there. Some, some of the locals are, uh, like trying to stay clear there. Aside from that. Uh, I think that's about it. Yeah. I think, I think that's about it. And then the Reverend went missing. Oh, well, he didn't go Reverend Cotisto, like from the radio station. Uh, he didn't go missing. He moved. That's what I heard. You got out of the, uh, out of the falls.
[01:48:24] Lucky bastard. Well, as the mailman, wouldn't you have his forwarded address? Uh, yeah. Yeah. Uh, I, I, well, I suppose. Yeah. He checks it like, uh, actually one of you guys roll, roll convinced, convince this postman to give somebody some personal information. Don't worry guys. I got this. You're going to get. Yeah. We're in the face.
[01:48:54] Look and see. Is there a letter in your bag for me? Mr. Postman. Here's the rules as to why you should. All right. You've seen trustworthy. Nice. And he, yeah, he gives you guys like the, the, the forwarding address to, for, for Mr. Reverend Cotisto. And you guys kind of like look on and kind of are surprised. Cause you recognize the address.
[01:49:24] It's the bell book and candles address. Hmm. It's actually DJ mercy in the back spinning the records. It's it's in. Yeah. It's, it's the, uh, it's the, it's an address. And it's the address in Moorhead for the, for the, the store. The bubble can get a, where Adalinda worm lives. And we're excited. I think this needs to be a conversation with her later. Oh, Adalinda worm gets a deep voice occasionally. Well, you guys can all roll me intelligent checks. Is that great? Or intellect or intellect.
[01:49:53] Oh, I love rolling that. I know. Now look, maybe I'll do it this time. A blind hog. I find an acorn every once in a while. No, this won't be a terribly hard one. Cause you guys, I have, I have blind squirrels right twice a day. Right. Yeah. You know, no, I really hope you get some like good shots into like the combat. Aaron's just sitting there going, I can't hear you. He goes to like, try to like do the horn.
[01:50:21] It just like, it would be loud, but because of the runes that flare up, it's just like very muffled. Does it have a point to stay away from that? Seven though. Yeah. Jesus Christ. David's like, I know everything. It is. Well, I will say like all, all of you, except for Liam, probably because Liam's the most outsider of the group in terms of like not being from like, not being like, not knowing the, the, the town and stuff.
[01:50:48] You do, you do know that like in, in your recent encounters with miss Adelinda worm and such, there is another, like, there's like a door to the basement that she, to her, her place that she's been kind of like keeping a little bit under like, kind of like keeping people away from. In her, uh, when you guys were like visiting her and stuff like she, she seemed to, and specifically for you, Baron. Yeah.
[01:51:09] She definitely tried to like, kind of like keep that a lot, like closed and locked off and like try to keep you guys away from there when you were in, in the back room with, uh, dealing with, uh, mercy and such. Or she'd go out to the back and you'd see, you'd hear, uh, Baron, you may even heard her, like go down stickers to like the basement and stuff like that. And you may have heard some kind of muffled sounds, but you couldn't really point pinpoint what they were and stuff like that. It sounded like some kind of mechanical noises, uh, that were like heavily muffled.
[01:51:39] When she went to go check some things, like get some of the, uh, that analog, that analog equipment that you guys were using for, uh, for Ember back. You had to save those keys. When we made the TV. Yeah. So maybe, maybe, yeah, maybe when you guys get back, maybe you should go talk to Adelinda worm about this Reverend Caltisto. That has been firing off pirate airwaves and letting you guys know like strange prophetic mess mysteries and such. But yeah.
[01:52:07] So that's what, that's what you get from, from postman, uh, Steve. Yeah. Postman Steve. I feel like we're going to show up and just Lucy, you got explaining to do. We shall see. But yeah. So, uh, yeah, the postman is, well, I, I started, uh, I hate to rush this, but I do have some rounds. I gotta do some more. Oh, yes, yes, yes. Oh, you've been, you've been a great help.
[01:52:34] Uh, you gave us a clue on where to find the good Reverend and, uh, we're going to go see about doing some good deeds. Oh, I'm glad to hear it. All right. You don't take care now. And just like, just whistling again and walking down another, another road toward, uh, some, some more nineties ish suburban, like, or like development homes. It's so bright over there. Uh, it almost looks like a dream core photo. Like it's a little bit more misty and like, but with some sun come peeking through.
[01:53:05] But yeah, you guys, um, are left to the, basically at the, at the entryway to the main, like downtown area of Olympus. Olympus being the downtown district of Akerfall. All right, Caleb, you haven't led us astray just yet. Where do you want to go? You want to go creepy circus tent? You want to go to the, whatever the other one was, or do you want to go straight on till morning till we hit the, hit the radio station?
[01:53:32] Well, if the, if the fellow isn't here, if he's out elsewhere, I don't know if the radio station is necessarily there, but I mean, we're up that neck of the woods eventually, but I don't know. The carnival seems like there'd be the most people being affected there. If we can hit more of a mass one there, maybe it'll straighten things out. So what do you think, Liam? Well, it sounds like the narrator would really like us to go to the carnival. So I'm, I'm down. Carnival it is.
[01:54:01] I don't know what you guys are talking about. I mean, I'm, I'm just here to give you guys options. I want the clown. I got this man. Whoop, whoop. That's right. Whoop, whoop, brothers. God, I hate clowns. Yeah, I'm sorry, Aaron. It is what it is. You don't need to pull punches. I will be sure to deliver the punches. Yeah. All right. So you guys are. It isn't like with the teens when I found out that one of them is deathly afraid of snakes.
[01:54:28] So I pulled back that the Python that they were fighting. That is a good thing. Yeah. All right. Tangent over. Heading to the heading south through Alethea to a creepy carnival. Yeah. Yeah. So you guys are trekking down the main street. Basically, this is main street, effectively. Down from Olympus.
[01:54:56] Olympus itself had very, has very like, it's, it's basically like downtown America. Like the, the buildings are all fairly like fairly old, like probably the buildings kind of like have an aesthetic from like early, early 20th century. No real like defined era specifically. If you had to guess, maybe some of them are thirties, forties. There's some fifties, that kind of stuff.
[01:55:23] And as you get down to Alethea, however, Alethea has a kind of a mix between like pre 20th century homes, like old, old, like farmhouses and old, like old mining, like old, almost like a, like an old, like, like an old mining town kind of aesthetic, like a heritage sort of site mixed with some roads that go off to like what looked like late nineties, like development.
[01:55:54] And there's a bunch of, this is actually an area of Vicar Falls where like the, the, the sloping hills kind of like are a little bit more gradual and actually allow for like some fields at the base of some of these hills. And that's, you, you see some of these like dilapidated farms. You're not seeing any signs of life. Like you don't see any people in these homes or any lights on in either the older homes or the newer buildings.
[01:56:22] Finally, a neighborhood that I can afford a house in. Yeah. You just have to move to the never, never. Even out here, they're probably still 400,000. Yeah. You do see actually, there is a, a build looks like closer to some of the more, like the older establishments. There is what looks like something that's, that's out of the ordinary. There is a crater or, or an explosion site.
[01:56:52] Something, something destroyed a building in and amidst the, uh, the oldest of the houses, uh, or, or oldest of the, of the, of the, the facilities or building like old building structures. And there's just this tangle of roots and, and, and foliage that's kind of growing out of the crater. And there is some splintered signage here and there that you guys could maybe try and like work out what it says.
[01:57:19] Like, there's a lot of like, it's like the, the Western or West falls company. And does anybody want to like take a closer look into that stuff or move on? Absolutely. Like, why would we not? Fair. Intellect? Yeah. Intellect. This would be another. Worst comes to worst, we just fill it full of iron and then we move on. Yeah. With a, with a four? Yeah. Okay. So yeah. Burn a hole in the world. That'll fix it. That's right. Yeah.
[01:57:46] So you're looking at actually, uh, also Elizabeth, you can get a plus two to, to an intellectual if you'd like for this. Wow. Cool. If you're, if you're looking at this as well. Six. Fucking damn. Damn. Okay. Um, well, can I, can I, can I remind you of something? You see, so, so Baron and Lizzie, you looking at this crater, it's like basically like a building exploded, exploded fourth. And you see the signs for it. Like, it looks like the bill, you can kind of work out what the, what the building was.
[01:58:14] It was like the West falls company or it was owned by that company, which you've seen before in the mall, like it closed down section of the mall. And there's all these like twisted roots kind of bulging out of, from the crater, like from the, the rim of it and such. And, and there's these weird little pods that are postulating off of the roots. And there's also like some debris that doesn't make sense for the, for the, for the building structure.
[01:58:43] Like it's newer, like tile and like fluorescent lights and neon and like some kind of like broken neon box sign that just had like the, the only letters that you can see on the, on this yellow, on the, on the, on the broken yellow plexiglass or like, like material is, is D and O. Down and out. And Lizzie, you, you see that you recognize kind of like the, the, the wood roots and
[01:59:10] like the, the root structure and stuff that kind of reminds you of the general and his, his material. So it's, it's very peculiar. And, and those pods that you see, Baron, you, you look over at them, like they're, they're about the size of like a person or like slightly bigger, slightly smaller than a person. And you see like half formed women in them. Time to break out the chainsaws. They're not like, like, it's like they were like forming from the, like, the, the, the,
[01:59:40] but they've like, whatever happened, like they didn't form properly and died. Oh, okay. Yeah. It's like, oh, fair enough. Oh, I see. This was a dollar general seat that didn't take. Didn't take. Oh my God. Oh, we're going to blow up with iron and move on. Iron and salt so that nothing else grows on this spot. Bury it and then we can move on.
[02:00:07] Like Lizzie, you're, you're looking at this and there's something at the center of the crater that like kind of hurts your, your eyes to look at or draws your attention to it. Like there's something there that you can't quite see with your normal eyes, even in the never, never. It's slender man. Roll initiative. Oh God. Are you going to use your third eye? Do you want to face one? Probably should though.
[02:00:36] This is going to hurt like a bitch. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, oh, my third eye. Okay. I'm about to be blinded guys. Well, yeah, it, it, everything is, is just like silent movie or like stop motion, like black and white film, like around here, except for this, this, the small sliver at the bottom of the crater. Like that's the only thing that looks clear. Everything else has like all the static film that's hurting your eyes.
[02:01:03] Like it's, it's almost like staring into the sun, everything else, except for this small sliver, which is just like, it's a tiny sliver of a rift to the real world or to the mortal plane at the center of this crater. So are you, are you, that's, that's what you, that's what you find from your, your use of third eye. You say a sliver, are we talking like a, like a wood splinter? So something physical or.
[02:01:33] It's, it's just like, it's almost like a crack in the earth where it's like a small, like a small, like crevice in the earth, like cast. Okay. Yeah. But yeah, it is, it is not enough for somebody to like, for like an entity to like leak into or like to like to escape into the never, like out of the never, never and into the real world. But it's, it might be enough for something to be like, to like, for like whispers to come, to go through or out or come through or, or leave. All right.
[02:02:00] Liam, Lester, one of you elves, get over here. I need you to seal something. What? Liam is currently in the bathroom. He's currently peeing behind the. Well, he can't. Oh, the skin steer. Well, he can't hear anyway. He's going through a tunnel. That's right. Lester, get over here. What are we doing? Uh, Lester, you, you take a look and you see something funny. It looks like. You need to close a hole. Yeah. It looks like a very, very tiny fracture into the, like, like a rift through the veil to the.
[02:02:29] Little, uh, go do a little ritual to close this thing. I assume. I don't know. You're the master of the ways here. Yeah. I'll see it. You can just. Yeah. I'll see it. Like, it wouldn't even be like, be worth like a ritual. It'd just be like. Just like maybe push reality a little bit. Okay. Nudge it. Nudge it close so that it heals naturally. It's going to be like. Oh, there you go. There you go. It's like, it's like holding a wound so that the blood, uh, like coagulates a little bit more. So that like it, it basically becomes scab.
[02:02:59] That's a four, um, a magic. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You do that. You manage to, uh, to close it shut. But you do get a glimpse inside or like, like glimpse of, of what's on the other side. It appears to be a Jaller General somewhere in the real world. So those sons of bitches have got one through. It, it's weird. Cause like, there's no, there's nothing like, uh, like you're feeling a, like you're feeling
[02:03:27] kind of a breeze of, of power going, coming, going into this reality, not exiting this reality and into the mortal plane. It's rolling, rolling intellect for me. Sure. That's two. That's, that's enough. You're, you're, you're, you're a walker of the ways and such. It's, it's almost like perhaps this, this other, this West Falls company, this like this mining company, part of it got contaminated by the concept of the Dollar General.
[02:03:57] It wasn't so much that the, the never never influenced the real world. The real world influenced this place. We got ourselves a damn Dollar General Tulpa here. Yeah. Something like that. Yeah. Something like that. Everybody believed that it could work and it turned into its own thing. Yeah. The right conditions were met that something from this side, on this side got contaminated with, uh, with some new ideas, basically. Some new ideas of commerce. Cause you're looking around like all this, this, this, this town is, you've seen like other
[02:04:27] signs about this town, like, oh, like the West Falls train station, the West Falls company, uh, mill, the West Falls company mine. The Dollar General. Son of a bitch. Well, yeah. And well, the Dollar General stuff, like that seems fairly new comparatively. So like, it's like, did the old money or the spirit of old money basically become new money? I.e. the Dollar General. That's above so below. Basically. Yeah. Something along those lines. So yeah, that's, that's what you get as you, as you heal up this, this, this like micro
[02:04:57] fracture in, in, in reality. You ever wondered if the real world was going to influence the never, never, and then turn it into some weird dollar general store. There's probably Starbucks on the West Coast side. That's right. In Canada. In, in never, never Canada is Tim Hortons. Yeah. Oh God. This could be like a never, never like franchise wars. There's a 10 bucks. Franchise wars. Yeah.
[02:05:26] The Dollar General versus, versus the Dairy Queen and Mac and McDonald and Ronald McDonald. Oh, oh my God. Sir, I would not have you besmirched a good name of the Dairy Queen. I anxiously await for February because that's the month that they always bring out the red velvet cake blizzard. Nice. And then you have everybody looking at what, at the, I don't think that Ronald McDonald is actually going to try anything, but the Burger King on the other hand.
[02:05:55] Wait, he's just a sneaky motherfucker. Yeah. Don't waste time talking about Jacketbox. Yeah. It's Waffle House just standing over there with their baseball bats and everybody's like, nah, you can just have it. It's fine. Yeah. Baseball bats. But yeah, that's what, that's what you find at the, in this, in this creative. Otherwise nothing else kind of comes, stands out or anything like that. I feel like if you're getting in a fight at the Waffle House, it should be with a waffle iron.
[02:06:23] Oh, if you get in the waffle, you get in a fight at the Waffle House, nobody's going to bat an eye. They're just going to ask you to leave. And then they're going to force you to leave if you don't. I'm just. Paranormal creature in itself. I'm just smiling at the idea of them having a formal weapon like a baseball bat. Let's be fair. Sure. They have blunt instruments that they have somehow scavenged out of things that they've got around.
[02:06:50] Like I would expect a broken chair leg, the arm bone of the last person to try that. Like a handful of prisoners. Yeah. But yeah. So as you guys are kind of like stepping away from that crater, that's when you guys hear the sounds of a violin fiddle playing. Or I know I just said two things that are the same, that are basically the same. A violin fiddle. Yeah. A violin play or like a violin or a, or a fiddle playing. Farther along.
[02:07:20] Does it sound familiar to me? No, it, it sounds, it sounds like, like it's very jovial. It's very upbeat. Yeah. It doesn't, it doesn't sound like something that you've heard before. Charlie Daniels. Jeremy. And you look over in the direct, in the direction of where the sounds carrying from. And it's, it's in a, there's a field on the other side of the road where there's just this large striped, like red and white striped, like carnival tent.
[02:07:47] And the door is the, the, the flaps are open and you, you think you see motion inside and you hear the sounds of like, of like, you hear the sounds of like people like dancing. Like there, you hear the, the feet fall, the footfalls of many, many people dancing. First, I want to make sure that this isn't some type of hypnotic dance that they're going to get sucked to see suck us in like a siren. That would, yeah.
[02:08:15] You rolled to an intellectual sign to try or, or a guile, I suppose to like try and tell. Yeah. Historically, it would be the, the tarantula. I think it's the name of the dance that people danced to until they died. Yeah. That's a four. Oh yeah. I mean. No, a tarantula. Yeah. This tent is, is just emanating some kind of like domination magic. All right, y'all. Yeah. Just a heads up. Definitely siren-like song. That's a trap. And they're going to make you dance till you die.
[02:08:45] Joke's on them. I can't dance. Something that has kind of occurred to you. There might be a reason why this area of, of the falls is, is, seems empty or abandoned. Yeah. A calliope music summons. You know? Okay. It wouldn't be like that music. It would be the, it would be like, yeah, a fiddle version of that. I can't help but think quietly to myself. What a wonderful world. Sorry. Well, no. And I think to myself.
[02:09:12] Wouldn't it be interesting if we happen to have, you know, a wavemancer. Yeah. Somebody who could, you know. Shut that off. Wave his fingers and just change that sound entirely. Counter song it, as a matter of fact. All right. I get what you're hinting at. I'll do it. I'm going to say go for it, Lizzie.
[02:09:41] I mean, I'll try. I wish I had my fiddle now. I'll fall flat on her ass. Les, because you are, after all, the expert. What's it going to take? Do I need to get you a shiny fiddle made of gold? I mean, a fiddle would be nice. I can bend it around, but it would be a lot funner if I had a fiddle. Well, my name's Les, sure, and it might be a sin. I'll take you. Sorry.
[02:10:10] I mean, Liam might also have a thing up his sleeve. Have some kind of items. The right item for the right situation. Oh. Yeah, I totally forgot about that. You mean this fiddle? This banjo? I mean fiddle? You mean this stringed instrument? This fiddle Joe? You mean this banjo-viola? Oh, God. Funny story.
[02:10:37] Okay, so I reach into my flannel pocket, and I pull out this lump of clay. So I specially made this clay, where you can just, and as I'm saying, I'm going to kind of just draw it out and roughly form the shape of a musical instrument. It'll just take whatever shape and hold it, and that's what she'd be. Whenever I stop concentrating, all does it turn into a lump of clay again? It does.
[02:11:07] Nice. I like it. Oh, fiddle, fiddle, fiddle, I made you out of clay. Fiddle, fiddle, fiddle, with you I will play. I call it my Jewish clay. Nice. All right, well, I want to grab the old lump of clay and give it in the shape of a fiddle, tune it up a little bit, and let's see what happens. Okay. Okay. I'm slowly getting worse.
[02:11:37] Yeah. Oh, you try, and the music outside seems to deaden, but you can still see some of the, like, with you, you can specifically, you can see some of the power still going in on the inside of the tent. I'm going to burn me old fate point there. If a five's going to be enough, I'll add a plus two, otherwise I'll re-roll. I would recommend re-rolling. All right. I'm going to burn magical cube maker of things. I'm going to amp it up a little bit. Oh, and it's my best stat.
[02:12:06] That would be a five. And I'm going to burn one more for keeper of the veils. I'm going to knock that veil down. So make that a seven? Yes. All right. The music, you guys all stop hearing the music as Lester begins playing his music. It took him a minute to get the feel of the lump of clay. Yeah. That's what it was. Yeah, you get those clay strings. And he just starts getting into the groove. And as soon as the music stops, as soon as you stop hearing the music from within the
[02:12:35] tent, you hear a cry. I was like, what are you done? No. And you just hear like a horrible, like maiming sounds. And then you start hearing the groans of the dead as they begin like marching out of the tent and like a horde of left for dead zombies. Like coming towards us? Yep. Well, I'm going to jump right at the front of that. Yeah. Flick claws out.
[02:13:02] And gentlemen, it's time to slam dance. Les, give me a triple time beat. I mean, they might actually just be nice. You never know. No, they are. They are coming at you ravenously. You see the citizen, the citizens of the Southern Icker Falls district in, in old tattered fifties, fifties attire, minor outfits, people in suits like, like old dapper suits that are
[02:13:27] like rotted away, a pastor and, and most of his flock, uh, in their, in their Sunday finery. You see a bunch of nineties teens and like, and, and, and their parents running at you. Like they're all like cadaverous and like, look like they've been like, like desiccated. They're all des, heavily desiccated, but they, their teeth are like gnashing and just coming at you. I know that. I know the tune he was playing. I'm just going to start playing it. Okay. Yeah. Oh shit.
[02:13:59] I want to give him a triple time beat. Yeah. That's a nine. All right. Yeah. They all like, you're like, shit. It's like, you just start playing it and yeah, they all stop like just dead in their tracks and then they all begin doing this, the, this, this dance with their feet, like, and, and, uh, and just kind of dancing in unison, like, like, like a choreographed, like mob. They're all like doing the thriller dance. Cause it's. Yeah. Something like that.
[02:14:28] I'm actually playing thriller on the violin. Yeah. Yeah. And, uh, and do you want to feed point there, uh, Jeremy? Does, does Lester want to feed point? Sure. I just kind of want to know what's going to happen. I guess. Something like the, the, the, you, you have a hard time. Like you just say like, no, I got to keep, I got to keep, I got to keep playing this. This is what's going to save us. This is what's going to, this is what's going to keep us. And you're like, you start smiling. It's like, yeah, this is going to save us. And you just keep playing. Your foot starts, uh, your foot starts tapping.
[02:14:58] I was having a good time. I did roll a nine. That's off the chart. So do you want that pay point or? Yeah. Give me a pay point. No, I'll take it. I mean, I'm sitting on top of the, uh, I'm sitting on top of the, the, the skid steer playing this thing. So he could just roll away at any point in time. Yeah. Well, you guys are now suddenly like the, the dancers begin like kind of like they, they start dancing and moving as they dance to perform around you guys in a circle, in a concentric circles.
[02:15:24] And you look up to like, like, like Jared, to Lester and he's now wearing like a, a showman's outfit complete with that, like that flat cap or that flat hat that they, that they wear. Yeah. It is, it is red and white stripes like the tent itself. And the, the, the fiddle of clay that it made from clay that he's making is no longer made from clay. It seems it looks like it's been glamored up to look like a, a black ebony and red violin or fiddle that he's just playing.
[02:15:53] And he is just dancing to this thing. And you guys are now, you guys know, a couple of you guys know, you guys are starting to like tap your feet. Wait, would it bother him considering I warded that thing against sound? It won't want, it won't bother anybody who's touching the, the, the bobcat. So is anybody not touching the bobcat when this is over? I'm currently touching the bobcat. Well, I'm not. What? Yeah. So Liam's fine. Lester, unfortunately, because you're the focal point of this, you're, it's off.
[02:16:22] It's the, the, the wards are not going to affect you. Oh, I figured, but I was just telling you, I'm standing on top of it. Yeah. Having a good time. Yeah. Liam, you, you are immune to this because you are inside, you're encased in, in the wards and runes that Lester was kind enough to put around your, your, your machine of, of fey death. But the, anybody who wasn't touching the, uh, the bobcat begins tapping their feet and needs to resist somehow the music of the dance.
[02:16:49] Oh, I'm going to tear the ends of my sleeves off. Okay. Wad them up and stuff them in my ears. Okay. Roll haste to, to do that. And how the other, how the, how's, how's Lizzie or Keelan? How's about intellect because quick thinking? I, I guess. Yeah. All right. Fucking damn. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Baron's just like, whoop.
[02:17:14] It's like, you, you had those, you had those ready before, uh, uh, Lester even started playing. What about, what, what say you, uh, Lizzie and, and Keelan, how are you resisting the, the, the, the power of song? I have the power. Who said I'd love the bobcat. Oh, do you, are you, are you still holding onto the bobcat? Well, if this is not the, in the crater, yes, I would still, I'd be at the bobcat. Okay. Do you want a fake point? We would have moved on after and I would have gone back with it. Do you want a fake point?
[02:17:43] Was that, that me or Adam? That was for either, you were, you were, uh, Adam, since Adam's been quiet. I mean, I was not touching the bobcat, but I had something in mind. Okay. I'll, I'll take the fake point. Okay. So yeah, you can take the fake point and you were not touching the bobcat. So, all right. So I need to roll an intellect. Yeah. Anything that you get, you can like, you can come up with to like how you're going to resist this, the power of music. Or more importantly, stop Lester from, from continuing his song.
[02:18:13] He is really good at one thing. I don't think. Well, he can't. An enemy cannot sing the song, cannot play the song if you disable his hands. I actually do have ways to capture from singing. I actually do. And it is, it does involve being a warden. Oh no. Well, the silver sword rips apart magic. Oh, that's true. Yeah. Yeah. I don't need to hit him precisely. I just need to cut his magic. Okay. Yeah. So I see that's a haste. Yeah, that'd be a haste.
[02:18:43] But also what's Kim doing before that happens? You mentioned a passionist flock and I view that as a mockery. So it's not. You did see an abandoned church on the way here through Alethea. It fills me with rage. So I think that's kind of what is keeping me from getting caught up in the music is the
[02:19:06] sound of my own heart beating in my ear as I grab my blade and seeing this mockery of life and death. And more important, I mean, not more importantly, but more what strikes out to him more is like, you know, this, you know, bacheloretization of a, of a pastor and his flock and all that. So he pulls out one of his Calum bottles of blood, uh, blood donation bags. And I'm a warrior God.
[02:19:35] I am a warrior God. So I'm, I'm just, I'm just having teeth. I'm a warrior. Good. He's having the, the blade into the blood donor bag. And when he pulls it out, it's a blade that's formed, you know, from, you know, the blood. Yeah. Okay. That's going to be, I guess that'd be a haste role as well. Then to do that. Uh, or focus because I love focus. Yeah.
[02:20:01] I mean, I'm always going to, like, you know, if you're always going to drop through, it's going to be like, well, well, you're going to focus. Of course I'm, I went to chicken nuggets. You know what? Then no, it's going to be haste. Motherfucker. Okay. If that's what, if that's what the, if that's what the man desires. Three. Whoop. Three. Do you guys want to spend a fee point? Both of us. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But I just got it. It's a, that's what it's for.
[02:20:33] But I want to have a stockpile. I'll spend it. Uh, yeah. It just has, it just had to be a five. Like you guys could have just like spent it to get the plus two, but okay. Damn it. Now you say that. Can I fucking use it for the plus two? I, I, I should have said it earlier. Yeah. I'll let you guys. All right. So fine. All right. Thank you. All right. I'm a warrior. Yeah. Like, Oh yeah. So, and then, uh, and I say, I guess you, Liam, you just see your, your, uh, your compatriots
[02:21:01] like in, uh, outside, just like, like plugging their ears. Lizzie's pulling her sword out. And you hear like this, like tap dancing coming with this muffled, like tap dancing from, from above. It's just, it's kind of odd. What do you want? What do you want to do in the, in your, in your, uh, in your skid steer there? That's a. Your skid steer of silence. I mean, I'm basically just sitting in this skid steer and I, I, I guess, I guess I can
[02:21:30] kind of hear the music. Yeah. Yeah. It's muffled enough. Like you can hear that something's going on outside, but like you, I warded the shit in it. Yeah. Yeah. No, like it's not affecting you, but you can like hear, like you can still, you can hear like the sound, but it's not affecting you. But your eyes work great as you see the fucking zombie. Yeah. You are also completely surrounded by like several layers of concentric circle of zombies. That might be the problem. Start a trencher. Oh my God. Yes.
[02:22:00] Where? Where? Sure. The trencher. And then just like, turn in a circle. And then the auger. Yeah. Actually, I was going to say, yeah, turn a circle and just like, if somebody can cut the music out, they're going to, they're all going to like converge. And there's just going to be like a zombie land. So see, everyone just pile on the fucking. See, all I'm going to do is jump back a layer and just start nudging them into close enough to the trencher. Okay. Like feeding them into the wood chipper in a nice orderly fashion. All right. Yeah.
[02:22:29] Put this thing into high revs. Start up the, uh, the, the, the. If we throw in too many at once, it might gum up the works. I'm helping. See? And I'll, uh, I'll raise the trencher to a round head level ish. Love it. Now, where, where are my, where are my allies? Are they still hanging off of this? So, so you hear Lester's got to be upstairs, uh, up, up top, but why is he dancing or tap dancing? Um, you see, you see Lizzie, Lizzie's approaching.
[02:23:00] On the roof. Lizzie is approaching the skid steer, uh, with her sword drawn. I'm like, I'm probably going to try and climb up. It seems. I don't know what Calum is doing. And then you see, you see the Baron is like leaped behind some of the, uh, the zombies. Okay. Okay. Like Calum, what are you doing that? Like Liam can see. I'm holding a blood sword. And Liam's just, or Caleb's just got his blood sword again.
[02:23:30] And, um, yeah, I guess I'm. Hold Wonderland. Yeah. I'll slide one of the windows open. I'm going to yell out the window for anybody who's within arm's reach of this thing to grab a hold and get on. Okay. That'd be neat. That would be you and Calum. I would say Calum can also do it because you're, you're pretty close. You just weren't touching it at the time. I'm pretty close. I ain't a warrior. God, I can do it. Okay. Yeah. I get it.
[02:23:59] All right. So, uh, once they're holding on with one hand and got a foot on board. Yeah. I'm going to, I'm going to freeze the, the points of contact. So the hand and the foot of every person who's in contact with this in a block of ice. Oh God. So that I can start doing donuts. Okay.
[02:24:26] Liam and, or Lester, or Calum and, and Lizzie, you don't have to resist this if you don't want to. I do want Liam to roll for this so that Lester can try and oppose this because right now Lester is dancing and that, and the, the music is not going to want him to stop dancing. Fair enough. Well, I'm going to activate some winter power. Okay. Oh. Oh, I get a plus two on this. Okay. And I'm going to do it with flair.
[02:24:56] All right. Actually. Spin me right round. Dan, dan, dan, dan. I mean, I am helping because I'm keeping the Tommy Zaki pot for the kill. I'm just doing it in a really weird way. Yeah. So that's an eight. Okay. So you got to be an eight Lester. All right. Nope. All right. You get stuck and you kind of just like your, your body, you're probably kind of like, again, your, your body wants to dance. It's like the music is trying to force you to dance.
[02:25:25] And if you kind of just like fall back, like from, from not like not having the balance and you do stop singing or you do stop playing. And as soon as you stop playing the, the fiddle and the, the glamour that's been cursed on you does actually like drop. And then the zombies converge. So Baron didn't really need to nudge because suddenly the zombies are all just like, like a, like waves coming toward the, uh, the skid steer.
[02:25:55] So now the skid steer is not going to get all of them. So Lizzie and, and, and, uh, Lizzie and, and, uh, and Calum and Lester, you, you're kind of coming to now. Yeah. I'm a little occupied. Gross. Yeah. So, uh, shut up. And, uh, so what, what, how's everybody like helping clean up the job? Cause like the skid steer is going to do its work. Like, but it's not going to get what I can get. Yeah. Okay. So, uh, yeah.
[02:26:22] So I guess me and Josh are hanging off, like leaning, standing on the side of it, hanging onto the rear view mirrors or whatever's on it with a sword in one hand swinging at them. Yep. Uh, I'm also going to say that some of the zombies around, uh, the Baron have, they, they shift their attention to the nearest target, which is the Baron. So you can try and like kick them forward or push them forward. And while also like keeping them from biting and gnashing at you.
[02:26:52] Rolling, spinning, Cuisinart, oh death. Yeah. Yeah. Also, I would like Liam to roll for, roll the, for, for like actually like doing this, the steering job. And that will actually, that may or may, may help or hamper, uh, Lester or, uh, Calum and, uh, and Lizzie. Okay. Well, I'm, I'm doing donuts and shit. So, uh, just count as flare. This would. Yeah. Damn. Okay. Yeah. You, you guys, uh, Liam and, uh, and, and, or sorry, not Liam, Lizzie and Calum, you get,
[02:27:22] uh, plus two toward your, your attacks is he's just like, like, like heads are rolling and, but like, there are still some that are like trying to get in from the sides. Yeah. As it's going, there's just, it's just like, it's, they're completely surrounding you in concentric circles. So yeah. Heads aren't rolling from what I'm doing. They're, they're turning to miss. Yeah. That's what I meant. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah. Heads are misting. We're getting the true mountain dew.
[02:27:52] Do the dew. Code red. Yeah. Red mist. Code red. So what, what, yeah, you, you, you start, you start like pulling that window back up because like your, your windows are starting to just get covered in red. It's not sticky. Or not so much red is just like kind of this like pasty, like dust, like material as these guys are all terribly desiccated. I've got my wipers going. It's fine. It's just smearing stuff. That's all it's doing.
[02:28:23] So yeah. Lizzie and, and Calum, you can, you can try and help clean up the, the sides as things are going on. Okay. So is that like, like what? A force probably, or I'd say a force pace basically. Cause you're, you're either like using like, like power or you're, you're using speed. With the plus two, eight. Yeah. Yeah. You're, you're, you're, your sides just like you're lopping heads off like 11. Oh, he does have, he does have the plus two from there.
[02:28:53] That is. Yeah, that's true. Let's see how, if any of them, how they do against like pulling you down or ripping you off the, ripping you off the skills. Centrifical force, baby. Do you want to, do you want to spend a fate point there, Adam? Or yes, yes, he does. I do. Yeah. That is advisable. I would say you not, not, not a, uh, like, uh, if you spend it, it's not going to matter. I, you need to actually like reroll, I think in this case.
[02:29:24] Okay. Cause at this point you're being like being grabbed and there it's basically a tug of war and. Okay. All right. Yeah. You, you were being tugged and there's like a bit of strain on your arm and leg because your arm and leg were both like frozen to the, to the skid steer, but you, you managed to like break your arm free. Like you elbow one of the zombies and you get with your, your sword hand and then you just start hacking. It's a little bit bloodied. You take, take another stress.
[02:29:55] Cause you're just getting like, you're, you're getting a little bit not on or like at least scratched up by the, by these, by these like tapered like skeleton hands basically. But you managed to like wiggle free and start cutting down the ones that are near you. Baron, how are you, how are you faring against the, uh, the, the, the small swarm that has turned to face you? What swarm? Touche. Let's see how that, how that goes.
[02:30:24] I'm just saying, if you look on there, I rolled a date. Oh, did you roll? Oh, oh, did you? Wait, hang on. Where? Oh God. He rolled that up right before Liam. Oh, okay. Uh, yeah. And they rolled a minus two. So even with their, their plus two, that's that, yeah, they are just, you're like, they are jumping at you and you were just like, how are you like toss? How are you pushing them or pointing them in the right direction toward the, uh, the trencher and the skid steer?
[02:30:53] So basically I'm spinning in place like a Cuisinart grab with claws, turn and toss. And then as I'm coming around, grab with the next hand, turn and toss and just keep spinning. And so as I continue to pirouette through the red mist, there's a, there's a second circle. It's just a no man's land. Yeah. It's yeah.
[02:31:20] Smaller than the trencher circle, but it's equally deadly. Yeah. Yeah. It takes all of like probably about five to 10 minutes. Cause there was a lot of them, but you eventually they, eventually the last one goes down headless.
[02:31:38] And you guys are just in a, in a, you're amidst a, a charnel field of, of, of headless or either via decapitated or just the heads are just mush or mist or, or saw or like basically like the, the equivalent of fleshy sawdust. Now my question is, is who was the one playing the fiddle originally? Well, you'd have to go back into the tent and find him. Well, I know, but at the same time, I'm just curious about that.
[02:32:07] Actually, Lester, you're, you're coming to now. It's just like, like, where's my hat? Your head's, your head's aching. And it was like, oh God. I just like, I like take the, uh, the butt of the, the, the, the clay fiddle and I like tap it on the wind, on the window of the skid steer and on my hair. You can have his back. What? I just like slide it down through the window. And then you had to break the ice. That's like four that's formed around your feet. That was keeping you. It feels nice right now.
[02:32:37] I'm just going to lay back. But my, what is you like, you fell backwards. It's like, it's like your ankles are probably in a wrong, in a bad, in a bad position. Oh, I was like, ow. It's like a little bit of the ice and put it on my head. Now I know how Luke felt on Hoth when he was caught by the, uh, by the, uh, snow monster. I smelled bad on the outside.
[02:33:02] I'm just going to reach into a pocket, pull out one of those barbecue wet naps and just wipe off my hands and face. I'm using my cape to do the same thing. I'm using your cape to do the same thing too. It's on the other side. Don't ask. I'll say, yeah, you guys, you guys chip away the, the, the, the ice that was keeping you guys in place on that thing. I was sitting there on top of the skid chair like, sorry guys. It was a really good song though. Hey guys, Liam.
[02:33:32] Still hopped you. I was going to hit you with this. Holding the sword. I mean, you've been wanting to do that since we first met. So. Yeah. But it didn't matter. It didn't mean that you didn't want to. Yeah. Yeah. Everything gets really quiet. Is anybody going to go check the tent? I was going to say, somebody want to go see who was actually playing this or if they're still alive. Sure. How about we just burn the tent with them in it? Man. That's also an option.
[02:33:59] I mean, if, if there's any indication, I just was forced to play that after playing the song, they might've been doing the same thing. Yeah. I have a feeling we may have killed the person we wanted to help, but let's take a look. I'm okay with that. If there's still enchanted, Gordon, that seems like it might be your area. You might be able to, to do a little something about the enchantment if they're still underneath it. Fine. Go do a nice thing. I go to the tent. I go to.
[02:34:29] Is Liam going to join? Are you trying to like, are you getting out of the cab for the first time and just like. He's probably got to clean the window. That's what I was saying. Like you're waiting. Yeah. Probably. He's going to get out of this thing. Yeah. Cause it is pretty. Cloudy. Everybody got a rag. All right. Morgan, give me your cloak. Yeah. If you have to pass. I'll take it off. I'll throw it. I'm just going to pass the wet nap over after I'm done. And just. Yeah. Hop out.
[02:34:59] Close the door. Lock it. You never know who, who, who might get, who might want to like go for a joy ride in the never, never. Exactly. We're in the never, never. You see the, off in the distance or like, like off, like around a corner of some like near nearby, like shed. You just see like a, a fairy that says like, oh damn it. Lock it. Catch fire. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. You just catch fire. See, it gets in there. But yeah.
[02:35:29] So as you guys are cleaning up the, cleaning up both yourselves and the, uh, on the skids tier, uh, the others go into the tent. You see it's, it's basically, it was very hastily like abandoned. Like it's pretty, it's empty in here. Like there's just a lot of the, the, the dirt floor is like heavily compacted and solid. And then you see on a little, like kind of a small, like quick, quick setup stage. There is just the dismembered body of, uh, of what looks like a, uh, some 30 year old,
[02:35:59] uh, balding man in the rags of, of a, of a carnival outfit. His, his dead eyes just staring up at the, the, the big top. I mean, technically we helped him. Uh, he does have a, an unquieting smile on his face as he died. It's over. Thank God. Finally. But yeah, that's, that's all you find inside the, uh, inside the tent.
[02:36:29] I close his eyes. I close my eyes. As soon as you close them a few seconds later, they open up again. All right. I burn his corpse. Okay. He is, he is ash. No role required. He burns. Does the fiddle that he was playing look magical? What fiddle? There is no fiddle around him. I wear no fiddle, sir. I play no fiddle. Yeah.
[02:36:57] He does not appear to have a fiddle near him or that there's nothing. There's like, it's not even nearby or anything like that. Is there any kind of documentation in here that explains what the hell? You, you find a little like business card or like a little card on, like on his, in one of his bloodied pockets. And it's just the, it's like in kind of like carnival type light or like jovial carnival type font is like the, the song and dance man. Come, come dance your woes away forever and ever. Oh, so he was a shit bang. Yeah.
[02:37:28] Whoops. Well, what I'm hearing is that your cares away. Where are these fall run? Another day. Let the music play. Here in Ick Falls. And actually, I think that's where we're going to call it for tonight. As you guys stand in the, in the, the now conquer or destroyed menagerie of, of the song and dance man and his flock. As we successfully avoid fighting a dragon again.
[02:37:58] Yep. Don't worry. We'll keep doing it. Yeah. I did, I did give you guys, I did give you guys a direction away from the dragon. So like I have myself to blame, but I, again, I also, I too want to see this game. Like I do want to see you guys encounter all my little, my little like eccentricies and like nods to Ickor Falls. So. Yeah. I mean, give us a subplot and we're going to go follow it. Yeah.
[02:38:24] But yeah, I guess, yeah, I guess the next, uh, as you guys get out of the tent, are you burning down the tent or are you just leaving it? I don't know. I let a man on fire. In it. I'm assuming the tent's going up with it. Okay. So you, as you walk away from the flame or from, from the, uh, from the, uh, the tent inferno. How Michael Bay is it? Oh, it's, uh, there's so much gasoline. Oh, so much gasoline. So much gasoline was used.
[02:38:51] I think this is the only one that we haven't like had a definitive name by the end of it. I've got two. Okay. Either that you heard or I'm going into a tunnel. I can't hear you. I'm in a tunnel. I do like that. I can't hear you. I'm going to a tunnel. Uh, it was originally going to be called Dragon Quest, but I'll just, I'll just save that for the next one. Yeah. Yeah. That's very, uh, Dragon Quest, more like side quests. That's also not a bad one. Yeah.
[02:39:20] I think side quests is good. Also, I think, I think the fact that you think the next one's going to be Dragon Quest is very ambitious. Yeah. I think that's optimistic at best. Uh, yeah. Side jobs. We might get to it by the end of next session because we still have to go see, uh, the Reverend. Yep. Yep. And we got to set up a Moonshine. Listen, we're not doing that now. There's a fucking Dragon we got to deal with. We don't have to deal with it now. Is there, there's no, there's no way it can get to the, get to the real world.
[02:39:49] We took everything away. We could just fuck off. Yeah. Like technically like, like longterm, like longterm wise, like it might, this, like this might have to be dealt with again. Like it might break, it might be able to influence Sacred Falls more deeply again. Like it, like it has, but that might be future person's problem. Not yours. Exactly. You guys are just kind of been like, like, oh, we got to do this. And then you, you're just going deeper and deeper and deeper. And I was like, why are we doing this? Like. And then we go, oh, we want to punch a dragon. That's what it is.
[02:40:19] That's what it was. Yeah. That's that. I mean, boldly wrong would look favorably on me. And if I die, I do get to go to Valhalla. I can't get either. Monarch, Monarch, uh, security is like, oh yeah. They're like, I've heard about that. I tried to kill a Grendelkin. These fuckers would stop me. I feel like I've heard about, I heard you're a racist, Lizzie. I'm following your teachings. I'm trying to kill Grendelkin. Stop it.
[02:40:51] No. That was ages ago. You were taught. We know Dr. Phil. He's nice. Listen, we have, we have, we have it in with the, with the, with the new, with the new generation of, of, of forest people. We're fine. This new generation. They're different from their old ones. Yeah. No, I think that that's where you should call it as you guys like, as you guys are like cleaning up the, uh, the skid steer and the, and the tent is burning.
[02:41:19] And I do, I think I'm going to, I think I'm going to call this session a dragon quest, more like side quest. Yeah. That's kind of clean itself. If there be beings of fairy and it hit a bunch of metal. Oh, that's yeah. They're basically like ghosts or like, yes. Spirits of people and, and face. So yeah, it's, it's, it's slowly as you, as you're wiping it away. It's, it's, it's just an easier job because as you're wiping it away, like some of it is evaporating off of it. Like brushing dust off of it. Really? Yeah. Except for the window. That's not a deal. Yeah.
[02:41:49] Like, sorry guys. That was me. That was me. But, uh, yeah, I think that's what we're going to call it for tonight. Um, thank you, man. This has been a really fun game. Yeah. Really fun. I'm glad. I was like, I want, I like, I tossed, I wanted to toss a couple of like, again, little like side encounters on your way to the dragon. I was just maybe a little too optimistic about like, oh yeah, they'll, they'll do all these little like side encounters and then go and fight the dragon. That'll be a camp. That'll be a session.
[02:42:16] I would turn into Dresden files dating simulator for like a good, a good hour. Yeah. Sir, you got, yeah. I love how you like, yeah. Like, uh, when we do the post-mortem, I got to share with you like all the nods, like, like specific Icker Falls stories I throw into this. Oh, absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. Honestly, I didn't know. I kind of knew like going toward, heading toward an encounter in this one with somebody who is a, uh, a soundomancer is, was going to be a struggle.
[02:42:45] So I tried to twist it up a little bit where it's like, oh yeah, you can try and like, yeah, you can try and shut it down. It's not going to end well for you guys. I'm glad. Cause that was a good twist. I like that. Yeah. And then you start like, oh, I start playing that music. It's like, oh, there we go. Sweet. Somebody's playing the music. All right. Screw you guys. Guys, it wasn't the actual, the guy was playing it. It's the spirit of the song itself. Screw you guys over it. And man, I'm sure it's not the first time that's happened to him. Yeah. He's just got to dance, man. He's just got to dance.
[02:43:15] Just dance. It'll be okay. How many, how many, how many songs can we do today? I was thinking off with your head. I was also kind of thinking that. Yeah. Dance till you're dead. Oh my. Yeah. That song is so appropriate to this. Guys. Why are we not talking about Glenn Fries? All she wants to do is dance, dance, dance, dance. Which is, I did like the fact that like they go in, they fight, they start fighting the
[02:43:44] still, they still wolves. I'm sitting out there. I blow the whistle. They go away and they're like, yep, that was a good job. We didn't dare guys. We totally did that. We totally did that. That's all I'll say. Well, I got there. To be fair. Number one. I did not take any of the credit. I just said, no, thanks are necessary because. I also really like. You don't do any favors. You don't accept any favors.
[02:44:14] Audrey. Yeah. You do live in a world. That's dangerous. Giving out his name. Like, oh my God. Like, what are you doing? You're in the bay. It might not be his name. I also did like Liam just as like, I'm just going to, we're just going to rotate this sucker around. Yeah. Do some donuts in the never, never. Yeah. In a death mission. Hey, we need to, I need, we need to have a reason why, like, we need to have more reason
[02:44:41] for that poster to exist of you guys just crashing through the never, never with a fricking skit steer. Investment ever. Yeah. So by the way, I have to mention. So at this point, I did take three hits on my wealth track to buy the skit steer and everything. Yeah. At the end of this session, the skit steer is completely paid off. Nice. Because one goes away.
[02:45:11] I'm just going to, we're no longer renting. This is ours. It's a skit steer plus one. I'm sorry. We keep it. That means it's immediately going to break down now. Oh, that's true. Yeah. That's how it always works. When it's yours, it breaks. That's right. Oh, to be fair, it's been lying the whole time. I mean, yeah. It's just that I took a temporary hit to my wealth track. Fair. That's how screw the rules.
[02:45:40] I have money actually works. It's like, yes, I could buy something really expensive, but if I do, it costs me. I have to mark it on the track. Okay. Yeah. Go buy yourself something nice. So I think this is still going to just be counted as a minor milestone, like the basic one for sessions. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's what this one is. It's a pittance. Yeah.
[02:46:05] Just basically, if you guys want to adjust some things or I think you can change an aspect if you want in this situation. And also any, any, any stress that you inflict was inflicted on you actually goes away. Nice. Yes. Any stress that you have goes away. Okay. Alum. Yeah. The one that you've had. The Brundo. He's been taking two. He took two. Yeah. I took two. Oh, hey, that means I can have my winter power back.
[02:46:35] Yeah. Where is? Yeah. GM should consider the following. Oh, that's events in the world, not the, yeah. Yeah. The, uh, occurs at the end of the gaming session or when the story segment is resolved, which yeah, gaming session and like part of the, the, the story arc is resolved. So, so switch a rating of any two approaches, rename one aspect other than your high concept. Exchange one stunt for a different stunt.
[02:47:03] If your refresh is greater than one, spend one refresh to choose a new stunt for those available from your mantle or create a, create a stunt. And if marked in recovery and check and checked for two sessions, cleared, cleared doomed. So that is the minor milestone stuff. It's like early. Yeah. It's just early on stuff. So, I mean. Yeah.
[02:47:29] It's just basically like the session, like, like session to session kind of stuff. Oh, yeah. Glad you guys are like good. I, so I've been, I've been doing every for, for Adam there. I've been doing all the session synopsises, like basically like the little like descriptors for each session I've been doing as Reverend Coltisto. So I feel like this, like, cause this one was going to be like the king is the, what I, what I referenced with the radio station, like the king has been rescued and the dragon is furious.
[02:47:57] It shadow looms ever deeper over the, over the falls. Now the barony of Moorhead must traverse the mists and strangeness of the old mining town and face the lair of the beast itself. Until, until, until next time children pray for them. My children pray sleep well. And then this one, I'm just like, oddly enough, the, the baron, uh, the barony is of Moorhead is taking their sweet ass time. Getting to, getting to the dragon.
[02:48:27] Hey, I'm probably wondering what those barony boys have got. Nobody gave us a road map. Chill. I, I, I did give you guys a road map. I literally did. Nobody gave us a road map. That's right. I don't know what you're talking about. I don't see no map. You could, you could have gone into, you kind of, you could have gone through the still wood forest and dealt with a bunch of forest horror, but we could have just, we could have just drove the skid steer through half the buildings in the bay. And we did. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Honestly though.
[02:48:55] Did you appreciate the fact that I asked you, your mail carrier, where we should go? I did like, I thought that was really funny. It's like, well, it's like, well, I was going to like Dave, like where the reverend's been held up this entire time, like for the last session. But you know what? This is fine too. Cause you guys are, you guys like are still in the never, never. So like you can't get to him right now. Son of a bitch. And all of like five minutes could have passed in the real world at this point.
[02:49:24] So I mean, or 10 hours or 10 months. Yeah. Or 10 months. An entire year might've passed. So the funniest thing, Postman story of my own, we were lost and trying to figure out how to get to a certain address. And we asked three letter carriers who were sitting together, which way we should go. None of the three of them had any idea how addresses worked. What?
[02:49:53] And they couldn't tell us how to get to there from here. Like they just kind of, yeah. Sorry, man. Can't help you. And that was the point when the Domino's pizza delivery guy dropped off their pizza and he heard what we were saying. And he immediately says, oh, you guys need to get there. Okay. All you want to do is take two rights, then a left.
[02:50:21] And he gave us perfect directions. So when in doubt, order pizza. The pizza guy will know. Yeah. I've been before the age of GPS is being on every phone and stuff like that. I always said, if you find a pizza man or a cabbie. Yeah. Wow. I've had, I've been, I was lost on the, in Indy one time and I rolled into a stop, into a gas station and there was a pizza man center. I was like, hey man, how do I get back to the interstate?
[02:50:51] He goes, oh yeah, you go here, you go here, you make it right. And then you're back on the interstate. Gotcha. But yeah. Because they, they so used to like, they, they've got to like navigate around their, their, their territory. Right. So like there's, there, there just drove it so damn much. Yeah. And then the other thing about the pizza dudes versus pretty much anybody else is that back in the day when they had to do it in 30 minutes or less, one of the big deals was
[02:51:20] they learned all of the back roads that didn't have stoplights. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So if you want to get there now, you talk to the pizza dude. Yeah. All right. Well, if there's nothing else to be said. Yeah. I'll wrap it up. Thanks to everybody for playing and thanks for those of you at home listening. Hope you enjoyed it. And until next time, which at the rate we're going, there's going to be a lot of next times.
[02:51:50] We'll see you all later. Bye. All right. Welcome back now. Take care.
