(Pathfinder 1e): At Myth's End - Episode 8: Blood Orchard Part 2

Session 8: Blood Orchard Part 2 - Attack of the Blood Bot

The Red Inquisitor surveyed what his little blood-bot was observing. It had arrived swiftly to find a pathetic town street, with one of his underlings, scorched and dispatched in a grisly fashion. Obviously a Slayer’s work. Ferros was a pompous worm, deserving of such an end, but he also disgraced the Red Inquisition as to fall by the hands of cattle. The Red Inquisitor would contact Ferros’s clan and notify them of the demerits costly removed from their reputation for this insolence. As he brooded over bureaucracy, his attention returned to the Blood-bot’s vision as it came upon some individuals, marching out of a nearby building. Some very interesting people indeed, if the sensors were to be believed. No matter, they’d be squashed for such boldness, obviously here to defy the inquisition, like so many DEAD fools who came before. One way or another, Wilno would see retribution for dealing with rebellion.

[00:00:00] The Red Inquisitor surveyed what his little bloodbot was observing. It had arrived swiftly to find a pathetic town street with one of his underlings scorched and dispatched in a grisly fashion. Obviously a slayer's work.

[00:00:17] Pharos was a pompous worm deserving of such an end, but he also disgraced the Red Inquisition as to fall by the hands of cattle. The Red Inquisitor would contact Pharos's clan and notify them of the demerits costly removed from their reputation for this insolence.

[00:00:38] As he brooded over bureaucracy, his attention returned to the bloodbot's vision as it came upon some individuals marching out of a nearby building. Some very interesting people indeed, if the censors were to be believed.

[00:00:55] No matter. They'd be squashed for such boldness. Obviously here to defy the Inquisition. Like so many dead fools who came before. One way or another, Wilno would see retribution for dealing with rebellion. It's not dis-world, it's that world. This is, this is, this is, this is.

[00:01:21] Two, seven, six, eight, six, two. Hey guys, we're playing Miss End. Don't be too excited now. Miss End of Terracur. Miss End of Terracur. Doesn't work. Doesn't work that way. It does. No. Oh, no.

[00:01:49] I think we last left off. You guys were in front of a giant mechanical death machine. Yep. You were not wrong. You're welcome, Spy. She jumped up, but there was nothing for her to grab onto, so I had to grab her. Spy. Spy will be playing the death machine.

[00:02:16] Is this behavior that is not familiar for you here? So there's a Spy. It's fine. Hi, how's it going? Hi. I just wanted to come over and see you. Hi. How's it going? I'm trying to get some... Oh, we can play with your phone. My nose will activate things. It might, yeah. Sometimes it plays music on Dad's phone. For y'all's at home. Spy is a doxion. She's sitting on the table. An incredibly small dog.

[00:02:47] Well, it's not really that small of a dog. I mean, it's the smallest acceptable breed of dog. Yeah. But we don't talk about the chihuahua. No. But... Alright, so yeah. You guys are, um... Yeah, sure. Just take a seat right there. That's fine. Right on your character seat. It's fine. Uh, suddenly, um... Uh, Wayland is just, um... Uh, like... Suppland... Is just, like... Flattened to the ground by a large dog butt from the sky. Yep.

[00:03:18] Clifford the... The coward... Clifford the big red god showed up. Mm-hmm. You were not wrong. Um... But yeah, no. Uh, it's you and Jerrica comes running out as well. Right. Jerrica. Jerrica... Or no. Jerrica... Carter. Mm-hmm. Um... The woman with a bow, an arrow, and some grenades. Uh, who's apparently a vampire slayer in this vampire-ruled world. No, it's not Terra. Um...

[00:03:47] Everyone else is basically hiding in the tavern. Um... And yeah, it's basically been, like, giving out, like... Uh... Uh... Termination orders. Um... On a broad... On a speaker system. Uh, it came out through a dark shadow portal. Um... That opened up. Uh... And it appears to be... Actually have... Now that you're looking at it, like, you're in front of it, and it's, like, looking back at you. You notice that it's... There's some of its components are actually made of shadow stuff.

[00:04:17] Like, of, like, shadowy material that is, like, kind of wavering in reality. Um... And it is also, uh, using, um... Kind of a combination of that, uh, that shadow stuff. Um... And, uh, like, um... Conventional, um, thrusts for, like, propulsion. Mm-hmm. But yeah, it's basically hovering there. A singular ocular... A singular, um, uh, like, red glowing eye. Or no, a singular, uh, like...

[00:04:47] I have to put that up to my ear, Spy. You just sat on it. Sorry. Yeah. Uh, sorry. A singular teal eye is just kind of, like... Teal? Yeah. For blood blood? Teal light. Okay, fair. Um, is, uh... The rest of its body is, like, riveted, like, chassis arm. Like, chassis. Mm-hmm. Um, is made of, uh, like... Clearly made of metal. Uh, and tubing. Um, and that is, like, blood red. Oh. Really? I assume the... The way that I originally assumed it is that it was, like,

[00:05:16] a gray kind of situation with a red eye. No, it's been painted red. Like, or, like, a deep red. Okay. Um, but the light... Yeah, the light glowing orb that's, like, where it's, like... Where you're... You kind of picture an eye, like, kind of like a Cylon. Um, it's a teal, like, a glowing teal. Um, it's also got, like, two appendages on either side of it that have, like... That end in, like, um, hook and needles. Um, like, pincer-like kind of structure. Or, kind of, um, uh, devices. Mm-hmm.

[00:05:45] Um, with tubes that go down into, like, up along the arm, like, back into the central chassis. So, uh, and it's hovering about a foot or two off the ground. Um, uh, on these, like, kind of just knife-like, uh, uh, leggings. Or, like, uh, like appendages on the base of it. How many? Uh, just, like, two. Like, it's just hovering there. Oh. It's not supporting. It's not supporting at all. It's an Eidolon. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:06:14] It actually is very similar to an Eidolon. Mm-hmm. Um, like, uh, one of the, uh, kind of picture, like, uh, in Star Wars, I guess it would be one of the, uh, those, uh, hovered, those jet, uh, jet bikes that the droids use. Like, it's, like, kind of like that, just kind of hovering there. Um, and yeah, it's basically just broadcasting. It's, like, um, uh, termination order on Wilno, Ontario, um, crimes against, uh, Nightcore, uh, and the Red Inquisition.

[00:06:41] And then it looks to you guys, um, like, it's distinctly looking at you guys. And you see, and, uh, behind you comes running up, um, Jerrica, like, bow-ready. And it's just like, oh, shit. It's a blood bot. Hunter Killer. This isn't good. And then it just kind of looks at you guys. And it, the, another broadcast comes on. It's like, and it starts, like, like a siren goes off from it as well.

[00:07:07] And it's just like, incursion event, incursion event, eradication procedures authorized. And we're going to basically start combat. Okay. As it's, it's charging its laser eye, um, at one of you. So, how about, first off, um, yeah, we'll do, uh, initiatives. And then I want, um, both of you guys to roll me a D6, um, and tell me which one has the higher number.

[00:07:38] Yeah. That's for a spy. There you go. I rolled a three. Okay. What's your number? Higher than a three. Damn it. What's your, uh, Dexes? Plus three. Plus four. Actually, sorry, no, not all of your Dexes. What's your cons? Plus two. Plus three. Okay. Target you. You're welcome.

[00:08:06] Let's roll up some initiative then. Initiative rolls. Wow. Okay. Eighteen. Okay. Oh, that's also not, sorry, that wasn't Bloodbot. That's initiative. Ah. Okay. Well, that's also, okay. So Jericho's not going. Very well. So what'd you get? Seven. Okay. So you may or may not be going before Bloodbot. Yeah.

[00:08:36] Or you definitely went before Jericho. Yeah. Balthazar, that's his name. Okay, that's a little better for Bloodbot. So he is still, okay, so we've got BB, BB, and W and J. Okay. So Balthazar, you're up. It's charging, it's ocular, like central ocular eye is charging up cold radiant energy. I've got two options for this.

[00:09:03] I can either pull a Breath of the Mild, or Death of the Mild, and shoot it in the eye to stun it and also mean that it has to start recharging from scratch. Mm-hmm. Or I can throw up a wall to try to stop it. Uh, well, the wall would be possibly big enough for multiple people to hide behind, right? Yeah. But you also don't know whether or not the wall will withstand it. That's very true. Um, but we also don't know whether or not shooting it will stop it.

[00:09:33] But here's the thing. I can't make a wall, but I can shoot it. Okay. So we can do both. Okay, so then I'm going to throw up a wall. 15 feet wide, 10 feet high. Just throw us out of ice. Okay. Because that's what I do. Yep. And it's also charging up cold, so it's not going to just bleed through it because it's ice and ice. Continue.

[00:10:03] So you build a wall. Yes. You're going to make Mexico pay for it. Oh. Oh. Well, no, it's an ice wall, so it's, uh. You're going to make those dirty vampires pay for it. Canada's going to pay for it. Yeah. Oh. Because that's our wall. Oh. Okay, we built it out of desire just to keep the Trumbians out. Yeah. Just like we built this city. On guns and blow? Thank you. Dumb. That's history. All right, so that's your run, though? Yep. Yep. Pretty impressive wall. It fires off its blast.

[00:10:33] Already? Yep. Oh, shit. All right, never mind. Just right where you were, like, you're just, you cast the wall, and then there's just a bright flash behind the wall. Um, well, a weird bright flash, because it's a bright flash, but it generates, but, so, the beam itself is like this teal, bright teal, like, a light. Light, but the light it's emanating, the exterior light that's emanating off of it is not light. It's darkness.

[00:11:03] Excuse me. Um, and it just strikes the wall, and there's definitely a shudder from the wall. That's a good thing. But it gets thicker. Hang on. I only made it 10 feet high so that you can technically hop up on top of it if you want. Um, but yeah, it gets a couple of inches thicker. Okay. Somehow. Um, and, uh, yeah, that is basically its turn.

[00:11:33] Actually, no, that's not its turn. Uh, it just rams the, uh, the, um, the ice wall. It can do a special attack and a regular attack in the same round. That was actually a ranged attack. Doesn't matter, it's an attack. It can, it can, it cannot, it does not get a move action. It can move, but it's... It gets a move, but it's... Ramming is an attack. It can, like, it can, like, gently touch itself up against it, but it can't ram it. Okay, well, let's, okay, never mind. It just blasts it. Okay. Uh, and then it is, uh, Wayland. Oh, well then.

[00:12:03] Um, you feel... Like, you know, like, you, like, you, like, you, you see the charge and the attack and, like, oh, like, oh, it's, like, the nature of it. It's using, uh, shadow tech. Mm-hmm. If it wasn't blatantly obvious. Yes, it is. All right. Well. Let's see. Oh, I don't have that yet. Um. Hmm. Should I deed it?

[00:12:35] Oh, should I use that yet? Hey, man. There's things. I'm gonna shoot it with a gun. Um. Um. No, but first, um, in my initiative round, um, I drew my, uh, Nightmare's Leg. Because I can do that during initiative. Yeah. Because I had the, uh. Yeah. That's what it sounds like. Um.

[00:13:06] Um. He he he he. Um. And then. Oh, you're fucked. Okay. You're fucked. Possibly. Um, I'm going to, um, open up the action. And to kick a casing and it'll catch it or whatever. And I'll load in one. I'm pretty sure I have electric rounds. Yep. I think we made some, right? Let me get my counter up so I know for sure. I think I gave you electric and ice. Yeah. Because that's your, that's your deal. Yeah. So yeah. I'm just going to load one in there real quick and then pop a shot off at him. Okay.

[00:13:36] Uh, you're going to have to move, um, out of the way of the wall because it's behind. You guys are, you guys are both. Walked. It is a 10 foot high wall. Yeah. Oh, I didn't know it was protecting me as well. Yeah. It's protecting all this right now? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So you have to get around that wall. Okay. Um. It's okay. Soon it will. I didn't know how wide the beam was going to be, so I wanted to make sure that it was wide enough to protect us all. It's more like a basic, it was basically a laser blast. Um. Maybe like a, like a, like a, like a, like basically a fist sized beam.

[00:14:08] It's actually just Cyclops' beam and so just like, uh, derived from the, uh, the elemental plane of punches. Yeah. Totally. Totally. That's actually apparently, um, uh, either a, a really canonical joke or that's like an actual thing is that his beam power energy comes from an elemental plane of force. Yeah. I've heard of that. Yeah. The elemental plane of force. Yeah. It's the reason that he doesn't like cleave people in half with it. Anyways, um, so I, I don't think I have anything to help me reload quicker and such

[00:14:38] because like from the sounds of it, for what I want to do, I want to empty the, the one shot, put in a lightning round, close the action, and then move and shoot. Can I do all that one round? Or would I be able to load in what I want? Um, sorry, you're, you're thinking of this as far too complicated. Yeah. Because your bandolier does half of that for you. Oh, right. It does that. Yeah. Yeah. It just loads that in. I forgot I had that. You don't have to load it. We did that shit for you. That's true. Fine. I'll move with the edge and then I'll, uh, take a shot at him. So let's see how this goes.

[00:15:08] This is my rolling paper. Not that one. So if it rolls onto that, then. Okay. Your rolling paper. Can you use it to have a little big thing? Don't tell them. It's legal now. Oh, then tell them. It's fine. We're candidates. It's legal now. We're allowed to do these things. Okay. That's an 18. So I'm assuming I'm going to hit. Uh, actually, what's, uh, that's tough attack, right? Uh, yeah. Then yes. Because that's what, even without my bonuses in. Yeah. And, um, I didn't look up the crit, but I'm pretty sure with most guns, crit is only 20. Um.

[00:15:39] Yes, but it's times three on a crit. Yes. If it does happen. Okay. Okay. Then my damage is one of these. This is my roll paper. And this is vulnerable to electricity? Uh. Sorry, this is, uh, this is electricity? Yes. Okay. So that's, um. You do a damage, you actually do, um, uh, 50% more damage. Okay. Um. So yeah.

[00:16:09] Nine? Plus 50%. Yeah. It's like 14-ish if you want to roll it down. Yeah, actually, hang on. Or, how do you want to round it? I was honestly just going to, like, times whatever your damage is by 1.50. By 1.50? Or 1.5, sorry. Well, if it was 10, it would be... How much damage was it? Nine. Nine times. Yeah. 14 damage. Yeah. That's okay. I just didn't know if you wanted to round it down or out.

[00:16:39] Yeah, we'll round it up. We'll round it up. So 15 damage on. Okay. Um. Yeah, the bullet, um, strikes it. Um. I take it hardness still applies, even if it's vulnerable to electrical attacks. Yes. Hardness because of the metal, essentially? No. Hardness applies against physical damage, not energy. Yeah, but is your bullet... It's a magical electric bullet, isn't it? He made it.

[00:17:08] He didn't make it with tech. Okay. He made it. Yeah. No, I know. But, like... Yeah, okay. All right. Fuck it. I'll give you that. So. Okay. So, yeah. You, like, leap, turn... Go around... Run across the... Like, around the, uh, the blockade device. And, uh, like, let loose your volley at him. Up one shot. Yeah, up one shot. That's not a volley. You shoot him. I'm poking out and shooting him. You shoot him good. Yeah, shoot him real good. All right.

[00:17:38] Try to be flavor-y, but apparently it fucks up. So, fuck it. Well, you're just using the wrong word. That's all. Yeah. Whatever. Like, runs away from you guys toward one of the other buildings. Um, and at first it looks like she's just, like, running. Like, getting away. Like, leaving. Mm-hmm. But then you see her start climbing up the, um... Like, a, uh... A fire escape.

[00:18:10] Okay. I don't know if that's a good idea for her, but okay. Well, that's what she's doing. Oh, I know. So, this is just me thinking as my character. Yeah. Be like, uh... Uh, and then she... Yeah, and then that's basically her... She's just putting that. Her tent's doing that. Um, and then it is top of the round. So, Balthazar. Okay. Oh, Balthazar is going to, um, levitate straight up. Yeah. A good ten feet. Cool. Just pop up over the wall.

[00:18:40] Yep. Stand on top of it. It looks up. It's basically following you, like, as soon as you, like... As you're floating up. Okay. It apparently has not... Never lost sight of you, even through the, like, the ice. Then some ACDC starts playing in the background. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Because, uh... I made a man P3 player. We didn't mention that. Uh. Because, um... I hit him with a lightning bolt. Okay. Uh, he can give me a reflex save. Okay.

[00:19:12] That's gonna be 16. That's not gonna be good enough. Okay. Okay. That's a lot of ones. Uh, remember... Who are you, me? Jeez. You get 50% more damage. Oh, excellent. Uh, so that... I started learning how to do vulnerabilities. Ooh. I learned what vulnerability rules are. It's 34 damage. Okay. That's included with the 50%? Yes. Okay. So that's...

[00:19:41] 34 you said? Yes. Yep. Sorry. 50% more damage. Not double damage. Yeah. Yeah. It's 50%. So it's 1.5. Not 2%. Okay. Not 2 times. Okay. So... So hang on. 16 and 8 is 24. Hang on. Uh... Sorry. 20 what? 24? Yeah. 24. Okay.

[00:20:13] Um... It launches up about 60 feet into the sky. Like from its jets. From its thrushers. Uh, and looks down and fires. It's got 90... It's got a 90... Uh, uh... 90 feet per round on flying. Okay. So it just perfectly flies up and then looks down and zaps. Okay. Perfect maneuverability? Hmm? Shit. Uh, yep. It's a robot. It is a... Yeah. It is a robot. Um...

[00:20:42] And, uh, so it's gonna use its range attack on you. Yes, but technically if you gave the, uh... T-1000 a hang glider, that would be very, very poor maneuverability. Or 24? Or 24? It's a robot that flies. So 24? 24 to hit? Yeah. Um... Did you put Mage Array down yet? Yeah. We did this. Okay. I wasn't sure we did this yesterday. Yeah. Spy! Stop! But the table's right there. Okay.

[00:21:12] I don't think this is being used, is it? Two, three, five... Five. Nine. Get down! Be in pain. Sorry. Sorry. Two. Three is five. Six, seven, eight. And four. It's 22. Nope.

[00:21:41] My AC is 22, so hit it. And you're dead? No. Well, who knows? Good luck with that. I don't know if you have enough dice. I don't know if you've heard of me. I'm Balthazar. I'm kind of a big deal. Oh, sorry. I forgot my plus five from plot armor. So 56 damage. No. Not 56. Not all. That probably still would kill you. Not. I know. That is, though...

[00:22:11] That is going to be... 12. Actually, 11. 11 cold damage. Okay. As you are blessed. But because he's a cold magician, he has a... Nope. Make this a month more powerful. Dude, it's just the start of the fight. Unless he's almost dead already. Yeah. Well, there you go. I did hit him pretty hard. Yeah. I didn't hit him that hard. He must have had a self-destruct.

[00:22:37] Yeah, so basically you blasted him, and then he just, like, jolted, and then shot up, and then fired at you. Yes. And he will remain up about 60 feet in the sky. And it is women's turn. Okay. Smithers. I haven't really used this before. Shit, I guess I should look up the specific information, whether or not I need to roll for it, or just because I'm using grit, I can do it for free. Okay. What was the...

[00:23:07] Well, I'm seeing if I can do it or not for free. Okay. Because I'm spending grit. Because grit is so... Because he's so gritty. Yeah, it's so hard to have a grit. So gritty. Needs more edge. Mm-hmm. By the way, Aaron, so I statted out Chernobyl, the ninja. I want to play ninja. Yeah, you were telling me. I love the ninja tricks. I got forgotten lore. Like, one of the ninja tricks is literally, like, forgotten lore. You spend two key points rather than the usual one, and you can learn...

[00:23:35] You can use any ninja trick you don't already have from the list for an instance. Yeah. All right. So... No hand. Clarification on this. Yeah. This is part of a utility shot. Oh, wait. No, it's not, actually. Fuck. Never mind. Continue. Do-do-do-do-do-do.

[00:24:05] Yeah, it doesn't say anything. It says, as a full round action, the gunslinger can make a single firearm attack and choose the body, the part of the body to target. She gains the following effects depending on the part of the body targeted. If a creature does not have one of the listed body parts, cannot be targeted. This deed costs one grit to perform, no matter which part of the creature she targets. Creatures that are immune to sneak attacks are immune to these effects. So, does that mean I don't have to roll for it? This creature would be immune to sneak attacks. Why? It's a robot. Robots don't have anatomy. Yep.

[00:24:35] Oh. Sneak attacks rely on vital organs. Yep. Or on vital strikes. Shit. All right. That's all right. Yep. I was going to do that. You're not wrong. I believe that would work. I also don't know if you could sneak up on this thing because it's got superior optics and perception of plus 20. I'm not trying to sneak up on it. It's pretty... Okay. This is just me aiming at specific body parts. Oh, okay. That's all that is. But if it's immune to sneak attacks and I can't do that, then fine.

[00:25:05] But for the future, if I'm using that, would I have to roll for that based on what I said? Do you want to read it? Yeah, I'll read it. Not right now. All right, fine. Fuck it. Right in the middle of a fight. Theoretically, if it was flat-footed in the air, how does that work? No, it wasn't flat-footed in the air. I'm asking if I made it flat-footed in the air.

[00:25:31] Basically, if it's flat-footed in the air, it's just kind of hovering and disoriented. Yeah. Which, I mean, it is kind of sputtering a little bit with electricity. Like, with the electrical charges you guys have been striking at it. Mm-hmm. Hence why you guys have been doing much more damage than you should be. Yeah, I'm just saying if I use startling shot to purposefully miss and make him flat-footed, will that even help? It would lower his AC. Yeah, because he would no longer get his dex or dodge bonuses. Mm-hmm.

[00:26:00] He would still get to keep his armor bonuses. Yeah. Yeah. But at this point, we haven't really missed, so I'm just going to aim up, take another shot at him. That's why he's... Okay, I was trying to figure out why the... Wait, what's his... I think hardness is actually being put into his AC. Mm-hmm. I think hardness is actually being used as, or like being put into his AC. It sounds like a shooting damage reduction. The reason I... No, hey, no, no, no. It isn't. It isn't actually, because... Okay, never mind.

[00:26:29] Because it's natural armor is matching up. Okay. Sorry. I was trying to figure it out. Like, it was like... I was trying to see, like, why his flat-footed is, like, the way it is. You could always try to shoot his eye laser. Yeah. Yes. But, well... I can't use targeting specifically for that, but I can do a cult shot. Yeah. That's what I mean. Yeah. Yeah, true. And take a negative four? Yes. Yes. Don't you have a grip that allows you to... Or an... It's targeting. And targeting is immune.

[00:26:59] If you're... If I can't do a sneak attack on them, I can't do it. Or rather, I can't have these effects on targeting. Not usable on sneak attacks. I actually have it underlined there. I forgot to mention that. So... So... What's targeting do, though? Well, if I shoot him in the head, he takes damage normally, but he's confused for one round. It's a mind-affecting situation. I would say that, in this case, you could use that to disarm him. Or, like, to deactivate his laser.

[00:27:30] Yeah. Because we are trying to specifically damage his weapon. Yeah. So it's more like sundering and less like a called shot on a body part. But... Yeah. I can't use this, because this is a... Yeah. So it's just a standard attack at a minus four pound. Yeah. Okay. So yes, I will try to do that. Okay. All right. That's pretty good.

[00:28:00] 29. That definitely... Is that for a touch attack? Oh, right. I was going to ask that. How high up is he? He's 60 feet. 60? Yeah. Ooh, yeah. Touch attack. Yep. Yeah, it would have definitely got him. Cool. All righty. And that was another electric round. So that is just one of these. I think. Yes. One to ten. Six. Twelve. Sorry.

[00:28:29] It's an electric round, is it not? Are they different... Plus that of electricity damage. It doesn't just take the physical and change it? No. Okay, it's... Yeah. Oh. Well, um... So then, would that hardness actually be affected or... No, and... See, this is the problem, is... Hardness applies to... Robots. ...specifically. But it's for robots. Yes, but when you're fighting something, it's not usually hardness. It's usually damage reduction.

[00:28:58] And damage reduction has a counter. Usually, that's magic. So, in this case... In normal cases, it should be pretty well... Probably negated by the fact that it's a magic bullet. Like, if I was using a... If I made, through tech, a taser bullet, it wouldn't affect it as much? Because it's tech on tech? But magic on tech is better? And vice versa? Is that what you mean? Or the other way around?

[00:29:28] That's sort of the same. I mean, if you were using a taser, the electricity damage would hurt fine, but the prongs would do jack shit. Yeah. But you need... What about those robots? You would need those prongs to be magically enhanced in order to penetrate damage reduction. Yeah. It's like werewolves are really tough against everything but silver. Yeah. So, it has damage reduction to everything but silver. Yeah.

[00:29:57] So, if you have a silver weapon, you bypass the damage reduction. Magic works the same. A lot of damage reduction just depends on magic instead of a special material. Okay. So, my one complaint about this V-Serie, they don't have robots under... Like robots. They have it under terraformer robot. Blah, blah, blah. Robots. Oh, that's annoying. All the fucking different names. Fuck this bullshit.

[00:30:23] Well, while you're doing that, I'm assuming the cold bullet I have is also plus 1d6? Mm-hmm. I'm putting that in the name on this counter I have so I can... Okay. I can remember. Does silver have a plus on it? No. Or is it just the material? Okay. I'd just like to go on record saying that was a dick move, Paizo. Yep. Yeah, you guys are so horrible.

[00:30:52] Ruined everything. Ruined everything. Well, it's making it so much harder to find that robot. Yeah. Okay. What about the heavy bolter that shoots the incendiary and ice bolts? Would they have a plus on them or no? Those are not my bag of tricks. Okay. So I'll concern Chris with that later when he's not already concerned with something. Mm-hmm. Yes. Cool. I'm not about to kill somebody. What did I do? It's not you. Oh. It's creators of Paizo.

[00:31:22] He hates them right now. Yeah, true. We're never playing this game again. Oh, we're switching systems. Me and my $800 worth of Paizo books. I'm just going to throw them in the fire. Yeah, totally. Cumulated over several years. Yep, totally. Totally not in a single weekend at a Genocon. Yep. Actually wasn't. It definitely wasn't at Genocon. No, I said Genocon. I said Genocon, didn't I? I'm pretty sure you said Genocon. I thought I said... Either that or you stuttered in the middle of Genocon. I think you said Genocon. Did I fucking stutter? No. Yeah, you might have.

[00:31:52] Because it sounded like there was an answer. Ah, that's what it was called. The Annihilator. That's what the actual name was. Before I modded it. Okay. Okay. It's easy. Oh. That looks a lot more terrifying than I thought it was. Let's see. So that's not the right one. Oh. That's also not the same one. That's the one. That's actually what it looks like in the book. Oh, okay. But it's definitely not... Yeah, nice. Yes. Um...

[00:32:22] Oh, you had rockets? Also, I'm using this as a reminder when my gun is out of ammo. Because it is also six shots. So that works. Okay, so it doesn't really tell me anything about... The hardness. Fucking bullshit hardness. Let me see. I should buy like an airsoft or... Oh, BB gun version of a mare's leg.

[00:32:52] Because I actually learned how to flip it around and shit. Nice. I'm trying to ignore as much of it as I can. While also... While also trying to read it. Yeah. That's weird. Oh, it's weak to that. Cool. I've also tweaked this thing a little bit. The thing that we're looking for is from the base creature. Okay, so for future reference... In regards to things like... Oh, hang on. In regards to things like targeting.

[00:33:22] Robots, undead... What other sort of things would not be affected by that? Sneak attacks and... Constructs, undead... Plants, maybe? It has to be something that has like its own kind of sentience. Some of it has the lenses, slimes... Yeah, things that aren't vulnerable or aren't immune to critical strikes. Yeah, but... That's not true because this thing is... You know what I mean? Immune to sneak attacks. Yeah, immune to sneak... Yeah, basically you just gotta see what's immune to sneak attacks. Yeah.

[00:33:51] Yeah, it just... It does not tell you, right? It says hardness. It doesn't say shit. About what... About what... When I looked it up online, it said that hardness, though, basically... It gets... It basically... The hardness is removed from the damage dealt to it. Yes. In the case of... It acts exactly the same as damage reduction. So, would you say to him basically that his physical... The physical aspect of his bullet would not really do the damage, but it's the energy?

[00:34:20] Normally I would say yes, except that it's a magic bullet. Is this object hardness? Yeah. If this is like... It's... It's... It's basically like... It's chassis and overall like metallic frame and stuff like that. I'm just saying because it's like... I did a search here and it's... It brings up stuff like treasure chests and doors and shit. Yeah, yeah. And the robot has like the hardness. Okay. So how does its hardness affect a lot? It's basically a damage reduction. So it's the same, right? It's damage reduction. Technically, yeah. It's basically a pool of damage. Not a pool of damage.

[00:34:49] It's a resistance of damage that like removes from your attack. Just... Oh, you're in left thing. What? Can you just quickly search? Does... Do magic weapons bypass hardness? Because, yeah, I don't have the answer to this one.

[00:35:15] Other than GM discretion, there's no damage bypass nor half damage bypass, etc. In Pathfinder, energy damage specifically deals half damage to objects and does not bypass hardness. But there are some exceptions. Take a look at second spell... At the second level spell, Shatter. Which I'm assuming says specifically goes through hardness. Hmm?

[00:35:43] I'm assuming that Shatter one says it specifically goes through. Shatter would basically break the hardness of the object. Okay. So... I'm going to say for my discretion, like, again, you're...

[00:36:05] For the sake of this, if it's not an augmented gun or augmented bullet, it's not going to bypass... It's going to follow the hardness rules. But because you're... It's been augmented with magic. Shooting a magic bullet through a possessed gun. Yeah. I'm going to say because of that, it is augmented. It allows you to do that. Which is also masterwork. Plus two or whatever. Yeah. So, it's fine?

[00:36:33] At my discretion, as long as you're using magical bullets and not regular bullets, like physical bullets, it's fine. The way it is. Did we clarify what the possession on my lever action actually does? Aside from flavor? It becomes a mount eventually. Yes. But I mean combat-wise. Combat-wise? No. It doesn't influence my bullets? I think the best it gives you cold bullets. But that... Or it could augment them to be cold, but then... Either way, we haven't really talked about it. We all stay out. Exactly. So, whatever. Either way.

[00:37:03] So, I roll this for cold. Okay. That's pretty good. That's real good. And also, because I didn't roll cold on my first attack, can I roll it now? Because I didn't know. It's not going to matter. It's immune to cold. Sorry. Electric. I'm shooting electric bullets. Yes. Yes. Then yes. Roll... I said cold because you... Last... You just said it was cold. Yeah. Okay. That's not as good, but that's okay.

[00:37:30] So, this is 20 damage. 20 damage. Did you count the 50%? No. That is vulnerable. That's just 20. So, 30. 30 damage. Okay. Alright.

[00:37:52] So, the next one is Jerrica, since you were the last one going. Jerrica is up on the roof. You see her fiddling with something, and then she... You see something bulky, kind of, on her arrow? Oh, okay. Alright. And she fires. Also, wait. Also, you were aiming... You were... Sorry. That was a targeted shot, right?

[00:38:22] That last shot was a targeted thing. Yes. To strike it. To strike it. To strike it. To strike it. To strike it. To strike it. To strike it. Yes. And it kind of, like, reels from that a little bit. Mm-hmm. Still hovering in the air. But it no longer has a bright orb in the center of its face. Yes.

[00:38:51] And it seems to be, like, sputtering a little bit. And then Jerrica... Yeah. You look at me, you see Jerrica, like, basically with this bulky, like, arrowhead thing. Mm-hmm. Like, targeting it. And basically goes to fire and shoot her arrow. Uh, that's actually not too bad. Um, that's fucking pretty good. That's...

[00:39:22] I'd say that right there he's, like, kind of knocked. At this point, because of the blast, he's also been flat-footed for about two rounds. Okay. Um, so... I'm gonna say that actually strikes him as well. Uh, the arrow with the grenade. Um... I assume because of the explosion that was mentioned. Yeah. The aforementioned explosion. Oh, does it do the thing where it hits hard enough that, like, detonates? It hits the side of his face, but all the dust and explosion goes out past it? Sure. Yeah, sure.

[00:39:52] Yeah, why not? They're in a lot of enemy. That's fair. A question, Aaron. What happens when, like... Like, daylight... Strikes shadow matter? Mm-hmm. Um, well, Jet... Okay. Again, strikes shadow matter? Like, literally shadow matter? Like, shadow stuff. Would it actually affect it? Not really, no. Okay. Well, then it'd just be the fire. Aspect. And the explosion.

[00:40:22] Mm-hmm. Wow. Okay. Um, that's 13 damage. Um... It's not critical and not a vulnerable kind of thing, but, um... This, because this is a mundane object.

[00:40:50] It does get eaten away from its... Wow. Well, yeah, sorry. Actually, it's not that great. Um... Okay. Which is why she probably said, oh shit. Yeah. Yep. Where we're like, we got this. Sorry. So... We got this. All right. Uh, and so it is, uh, Balthazar's turn. As, yeah, basically the explosion... Yeah, so sorry. Just to narrate that a little bit. So yeah, Jerrica, like, lets loose her arrow. It actually strikes it as it's sputtering a little bit in the air.

[00:41:19] Um, in the face, or like, in the side of the head. There's this explosion of smoke and fire. Um, and it doesn't look like it did much. But, uh, it's because it, but it's been knocked a few inches to the left. Mm-hmm. From where it was. All right. I'm going to, uh... Yep, take a deep breath and raise my arm and... Um... Strike it. Do I have to roll a... Try it again. You can give me a reflex save. Um, actually, would it be able to do a reflex if it's flat-footed for another round?

[00:41:49] I would say no. Yeah. So. Okay, so, uh... 10, 15, 17, 20, 5, and 12. It's 37. 50% added? Yes, that's the width of 50%. That's the width of 30%.

[00:42:15] Okay, it is not looking too good. It is pretty... It's sparking, um, but it basically, in a last-ditch kind of effort, it just... Jets with what thrust it has left directly at you. That's okay, because it wasn't actually done yet. Okay. Now, I'm going to cut off my levitation and drop the 10 feet behind my wall. Okay.

[00:42:43] Well, it's still got perfect maneuvering. Mm-hmm. So it's going to jet and target you with this attack. It's still harder. Yeah. Yeah. So it will roll a, um, basically a grapple. Or, uh, not a grapple. A charge? Sounds like a charge. It's a normal tackle, basically. It's tackling you. Use your tackle attack! No. It's super effective against the squishy wizard. Mm-hmm. Um, well, would you consider this a combat maneuver? Because it's, like, trying to get to you? Uh, yes.

[00:43:11] Well, I mean, it's a combat maneuver because it's a... He's trying to engage a grapple anyway, isn't he? Yes. Or is he trying to just tackle? He's trying to... Oh, no. He's just ramming? No, he's getting a grapple. He's trying to... Okay. Ugh, wow. That's, like, 40. Okay, then, yeah. He's got a 28 on grapple. Oh, damn. For combat maneuver. And he's got... He rolled a 19. So that's pretty close to 40. Then he didn't really have to roll. No. Yeah. He really did, but... Yeah.

[00:43:43] And, um... Yeah, he grabs you with his appendages and jabs one of them into your side. Ouch. Um... So... Blood drain. Well, he's, uh... Yeah. Well, yeah. He's still grappled. So you're basically grappled. And you're up a little bit in the air as well. Does he bypass my damage reduction? Uh, what's your damage reduction? To adamantine. Oh. How do you have that? My Haramaki. Oh.

[00:44:13] It's made out of adamantine. The only thing that can pierce it is adamantine. Oh. Are you serious? Yeah. Okay, so it shatters its needle... Oh, no! Against... I feel bad for the trope. I just don't know for an enemy. It just, like, shatters its, like... It... The jar, like... Or the glass, like, um... Container that was on its, like, gauntlet part. Just shatters. Um... It's only damage reduction of one, though. I should tell you that. It's only damage reduction of one.

[00:44:43] Really? Yeah. So... How... How does it completely stop all attacks? It doesn't. It does... It basically converts it to bludgeoning. Yeah, pretty much. So it still hurts. Like a motherfucker. Yeah. So I'm going to at least do the damage for that. Damn it. But what? You broke it, I guess? But it's... You shattered... You basically... I blunted the tip, maybe? Yeah. No, you broke... You broke it. Okay. Um...

[00:45:10] But you're not feeling too good, because you just took, like, 11 damage. Okay. Of bludgeoning to the... To the... To the, uh... To the, uh... Would that be non-lethal damage? Hmm? Would that be non-lethal? That's lethal. Okay. I just... I don't know what it does to the attack. God damn it. It's like fucking Frodo getting... Uh... Getting, uh... Piked by the cave troll and then realizing he had mithril. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. God damn it. Yeah, just like that. You pull a Frodo, you asshole. Frodo that shit. That's right. It just, like...

[00:45:40] It, like, just looks like... Whoop! And it's magical, Adamant. You need to top it all off. Well, this thing's personal. You wouldn't wear something if it wasn't magical. Uh, Waylon, your friend has been swooped up about ten feet into the sky. Seriously? Yeah. He was... Oh. He swooped down and grabbed him and then started stabbing at him. I thought he went down... No, no, no. He grabbed him. ...stabbed him and then left him down there. He grabbed... He swooped down... No, it was a grabbing and a stabbing. Yeah. I understand, but it's on the ground. He's just ten feet in the air.

[00:46:07] So he grabbed him, lifted him up, and stabbed him. Yes. Okay. I heard repeatedly, swooped down and stabbed him. Yeah. Without the... Negated the... I forgot to mention the swooping part. It changes a lot. So I need to know that. He swooped up. Okay. Like the way a bat grabs an insect. Yeah. All right. So I can't do that... Once again... In combat, the melee. Once again, the entire round, I've been... I had something planned, and because of one little change in aspect, I can't do it anymore.

[00:46:37] Cool. Great. All right. Welcome to combat, man. Yeah. It's excellent. It's my favorite thing. Can't do that. That won't do anything. I could do that. Those are useless. So that's true. Oh my god. I guess so. Hey, I'd like to point out...

[00:47:07] Okay. You've hit. Yes, I have. With a ranged weapon. I know. Weird, right? Really well on my dad. I haven't really been missing too much with him. But that being said, I'm about to miss. How do you know? Because I just said that I've been not missing. Just do it. That's just the way things are. And he's shooting into a grapple. Yeah. So he's taking my sword, isn't he? No, he has a precise shot. Okay. Mm-hmm. Um.

[00:47:36] So what's he holding onto him with? Both arms? The other... Yeah, with the appendages. And he was gonna use the other arm to just basically stab him, but then... Eh. Okay, but there's one arm holding him? Yeah. And that's it? Okay. Um. You know, performance issues. Yeah. One out of five. It just... It's head... It's chest... It's broken, like, um... Head part just kind of, like, turns its head a little bit. Tilt's a little bit? Yeah. Tilt's a little bit. And confusion. Yeah. Okay. Alrighty.

[00:48:04] Uh, do I have line of sight with the arm that's holding him? Or am I on the side where I only see the broken arm? Oh, this is perfect. I'll say... Yes. Continue. Are you good? Oh, yeah. He's had an orgasm. Um... I'll say, yeah, you can see the, um... Part of the arm. Okay. Which part? The part that's holding your friend. So I can see the hand? Yeah.

[00:48:34] Or no, you can see the forearm, basically. And hand appenditure. Basically, it's kind of like, um... Uh, like... Well, I'm below. Yeah. So, like... I'm just trying to visualize it to see if I can actually... I guess you probably... I can move as well. I guess also, in that case, if you're seeing from above, you'd probably see his, like, the rear... Like, the, uh, the back arm. Like, where it's, like, where it meets the shoulder. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Alright, so, um...

[00:49:04] I'm excited that I'm finally in melee with this thing. Are you? I am. Shock and grasp. Well, that is an effective thing. Thanks for the idea.

[00:49:41] Yeah. I can move for his arm to release the grapple and make it so he can't attempt to stab you. Or I can try to shoot into one of his, um, his jets that are propelling him off the ground. Go for the jet. Okay. Going for the jet. Okay. So that's technically four. You did say that you wouldn't... Oh, I know. Hang on. Hang on.

[00:50:10] Eighteen touch attack. Yep. Cool. I did it. And these... Uh... Wait, this... Okay, yeah. And this is your magic bullet with electricity? Yes. Okay. Because it's been working so far. Uh... Four electric. And, um... Eight physical. Okay. So here's what happens. You shoot the...

[00:50:40] You shoot the, uh... The one thruster. And it sets off a chain reaction along the back of this thing. And you're luckily in front of this thing. As the whole back just shorts out with electricity. And black... Shadow matter and metal just vaporize as the back of it blows off. Ooh. And it just falls to the ground. Oh. Roll a tum... Roll a flex or tumble to, uh... Not take damage from the fall. Okay.

[00:51:10] Or roll fly. Or, yeah, I guess just fly. I do levitate. Why are you doing this? I'll just do that. Yeah, so basically it lets go, like, listlessly. And just falls to the ground. Like, I mean, I'll roll fly if you want. But I get a plus 19, dude. And, yeah, basically it just crumples to the ground. It actually destroys a car nearby. It, like, hits the side of a car.

[00:51:39] And just basically crumples through it. Not yours. Our car. Not yours. Oh, yeah. Somebody else. Some other person's car. Hey, do you hear everyone's like... But no, it just crumples and just, like, sputs. Sputters with electricity and sparks. And the, uh... You hear from one of the rooftops, Who the fuck are you guys? Well, let me tell you. And she comes, like... Like, she basically, like, grabs, like, the, uh... The, um... Like, uh... The pole or something.

[00:52:08] Like, either the eaves or whatever. And just slides down. And just like, Jesus Christ. You may call me that, yes. You took down a... You took down a fucking blood bot. Yeah, I didn't even pull out the big guns yet. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I had a lightsaber. Oh, yes. I was gonna disarm it. Ooh. Nice. Nice. Yeah. Magic and three bullets.

[00:52:38] Yeah. Because lightsabers bypass hardness. Ooh. It's in the rules for lightsabers. Damn. So, yeah. The battle's kind of over. What do you guys do? I'm gonna loot the body. Yeah. You can. Do you have pockets? Roll a search check. Or... Is it search or perception? Search. Roll search. Arrow.

[00:53:08] Oh, right. There is no search in this game. So I suppose it's perception. Okay. That's an 18. Okay. You find... It's basically partially smoldering metal and such. As well as some of the shadow stuff is basically evaporating. And it's evaporating into this device that's still intact near the center of the device. Or the center of the creature. Or the robot. Construct. It looks kind of like...

[00:53:38] Two Ys. Put... Like one... So... It's a double flux capacitor. Kind of? I'm actually not... Like... That's actually not a lie. It's basically a Y of lights and stuff like that. And there's a reverse Y underneath that. And the two sticks... Like the two vertical sticks of the Ys are parallel to each other. Okay. In this little kind of boxy looking device that looks like it was hooked up to a bunch of stuff.

[00:54:06] Into the back that is no longer there. Do you mean that? The bottom one? Yeah. Very similar to that. That's basically what the insignia... What it looks like. Yeah. And it's like that same teal light. Like kind of diodes. From the side it kind of looks like that frustrated smiley face. Nice. If you look at it from the side. Do you have any knowledge engineering or knowledge... Do I? Arcana. I have engineering. Actually both of you need to roll...

[00:54:34] Somebody needs to roll me in engineering and somebody needs to roll me in arcana. Well I'll take the arcana. I can do engineering because I can't do arcana very well. Cool. Oh. I can do arcana. I won. Oh really? Yeah. I get a plus 19. Oh okay. Fair. You also rolled that too. I rolled a 19 plus my 10. Okay. You guys are looking at this thing. And I got a 10 plus 19. So you're looking at this thing and with like your combined like knowledges and also your

[00:55:04] history with the shadow world. This is a phase capacitor. Specifically this is a phase capacitor that allows for teleportation back and forth between the shadow realm and the physical world. So this might be something that we need for that portal situation. Yeah. Yes. This is how this thing teleported here in the first place. Hmm. You also find that the laser, the twilaser it had, which you realize it wasn't... I destroyed.

[00:55:34] It's actually not fully destroyed. The, the, you just destroyed basically the lenses on the outside. Oh okay. Like basically it's, it's own, like the robot's own targeting like lenses. Mm-hmm. The actual device, the actual mechanical, like the mechanics behind it, the core of it, are still intact on the inside. You actually are able to pull them out of this weird shadow stuff that's, that it was in. Um, and it's kind of almost like, it could basically be fashioned very easily into a gun. I'm fine with that. So you basically have a twilaser rifle.

[00:56:03] Twilaser is basically, it's a shadow light laser. Twilaser. I'm assuming it'd be a pistol. Um. How big is it? Like this big? It, it, it, it could be used to be made, made. Well I could put it into whatever, but right now it's about that big or something. Yeah. We have to build it into a construct that is a backpack and comes up over your shoulder. Oh just be a predator? Yeah. Yeah. The trilaser? Oh yeah, that's true. Twilaser, Twycaster. Oh yeah, yeah, that's right. Um. I might have to have a Twycaster. So, um. That's pretty cool.

[00:56:33] Thank you. You're looting it. Um, uh, some of the people are coming out cause like, holy shit, they fucking killed a blood bot. Um, like people are like actually kind of starting to grow, uh, like kind of come out. Um, most of the, like the, the, the two damp here. Um, what was the girl? I'm taking armor plates. Yeah, you can take the plates. They seem to be just basically steel. Um, like straight up metal, like just like regular metals, metal platings in the chassis and stuff like that. Um.

[00:57:02] Would I be able to remove the, um, the gauntlet on his, uh, not destroyed left arm for the, uh, the, the canister and, uh, the string unit? Yeah, it looks like, basically it looks like, um, it's a, has a retractable, that, that blade thing, that, that needle blade thing that it tried to pierce him with is a retractable thing. And it, like, it, what it was holding him with was basically two, like, hook-like things that would close down, clamp down to, like, basically hold you, hold you in place. And then if it wanted to, it could have just stabbed you into the throat. So, so the hooks.

[00:57:31] It really wanted to, but it wanted to get into your, like. So, so the hooks, like, come out of the wrist? Yeah. To grab, so he's not actually holding with his hand. Yeah, it actually didn't have a hand. And then it's just, like, chink. Yeah, yeah, and then it's just chink, and then it would basically, by the looks of the pumping system mechanics and stuff inside of it, it looks like it will basically funnel blood into that, uh, central, like, uh, like, uh, canister-like device. So I'm able to, like, sever the, the gauntlet, essentially, and take that? Yeah, you basically dismantle it and take that part. Cool.

[00:57:58] Um, as you guys are doing this, uh, there's a fizz of radiostatic coming from somewhere on the robot, um, and you hear clapping and, like, some chuckling. Well done. Very well done. I gotta say, it's, uh, it's been some time since, uh, anything has been able to take down one of our bloodbots. Oh, yeah.

[00:58:27] One of you, and... That's what we said. Yeah, that's pretty easy. And outside is no less. Well, you know, who betcha? Mm-hmm. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. And who's speaking? I am the Red Inquisitor. Cool. Sorry, Balthazar's not at home right now. If you'd like to leave a message, please leave a message after the tone. Beep. Oh. He's not? Oh. Okay, hi, this is Red Inquisitor.

[00:58:54] There's a thermal nuclear tactical nuke on its way right now to destroy that stupid little town for its insolence and harboring not one, but multiple Slayer incurgencies. And now invaders from other realities. Ta-ta. Click. Okay, so, how do you want to handle this? Everybody get in the truck. Yeah, if you guys want to. People start... Actually, a lot of people... This was being broadcast.

[00:59:24] A lot of people just started running. Okay. Except for the ones that... Like the four or five that were from the tavern. Yeah. They were trying to figure out what the fuck to do. Jerika looks at you guys like... You guys got a way out of here? Can we get out? That truck. Now. Grab what you absolutely have to. Go, go. You have 60 seconds. Actually, we have another way. Can we think of portals?

[00:59:55] Well, he's... Well, you can spend some time to do that. What are you doing? We can get in a friendship circle and I can bring you to the Shadow Realm. Knowledge Arcana of 35. Okay. I'm going to try to activate a portal to the Shadow Plane with the box. Yeah, you could definitely... There's actually some... There's definitely more of a... It's an arcane art than it is a science. It's both of them together. But it is definitely... You're able to tap into that arcane science. Or arcane art science.

[01:00:24] I should hope so with a 35. Yeah, you actually think that if you were to... With that roll, you're pretty sure you could... If you were to hook it up to the car... It's like the Mists of Avalon. I'm actually thinking... I'm actually thinking... I'm thinking less Mists of Avalon and more... But you need to get the right... Enough speed for it. 88 miles an hour. Also, you can roll me a listen check. Or a perception check. Sure. Is that the same thing?

[01:00:55] Yeah. That is 27. 29, actually. He's doing his magic thing. You're looking around... Seeing people running... They're already... Basically off. Your group of people are running into that truck... That you told them to go to. Yeah. And then you see... You see it like a dot in the sky. Like... And it grows a little bit.

[01:01:25] Like... It's another shadow portal. Opening up... About 150 feet above the... Above the town. Oh, so it's teleporting one over. That's great. That's a dick move. You don't know how long it's going to take that portal... Like for them... And for it to eject from the portal and stuff. But you might want to... Whatever he's doing... He'll need to do pretty soon. So, yeah. You start noticing that too. Okay. But yeah, you can... If you can... Hotwire it to the car... You can probably...

[01:01:53] It has to be used through a device at the moment. Okay. Alright. Like through a... That's fair. Alright. Well, I'll pop the hood... Incidify the battery... And tell him to hook it the fuck up. Alright. Roll your engineering. Oh, great. Alright. I didn't give you your gunsmithing to a degree. Because that's like... Working with really weird tech. It's all engineering based. Engineering, though. Okay. The bonus is basically the same anyways. Cool. So... Yes, but it's one of those things that you might get a synergy bonus. Oh. Yes. Okay. Fair.

[01:02:24] Uh... 18? You don't do it, you die. Dammit. Uh... No. Um... Yeah, you managed to like hook it up to the um... The car... Through Technobabble and such. It's a carburetor and the... We replaced the radio with it. The radiator is now... We just use jumper cables. Plug them on either end. Yeah, it's fine. Okay, this is gonna work. Yeah. Close down the port. It's like... Alright guys, get in. Let's hope this fucking works. Sure it works. Yeah.

[01:02:55] And then you're just like... You get into the car and it's like, let's see if this bitch can do 90. No, I think we should hook it up specifically through the radio so we're like, we have to switch to the proper channel. Sure. Oh, actually, that's the... Yeah, I like that. Yeah, that's actually what you do. You hook it up to the radio signal. FM 88... FM 88... MPH, whatever that means, if you want to find an abbreviation for that. You're signaling it. And it kind of like... You're like checking... You're like going through the stations.

[01:03:25] Oh, that's the one. That's the wrong station. But then there's the... That's a pretty good one. That seems fitting. But then there's one that's like, everyone else doesn't hear anything from the channel. But you hear it. And you don't hear it, but you hear it in your bones. For all things. That is the... This is the signal. This is the right station. Okay. So you leave it on this one. And you've got to go fast.

[01:03:54] Because you can see the fucking bomb poking out of that black hole. Okay. Did we get everybody? You got all the... I was about to ask. Is everyone in the truck? All the residents... All the people that you... That stayed and aren't running for the hills. Did they grab like a handful of shit each? Yeah. Of their stuff? They grabbed their stuff. Okay. Yeah. And yeah. That's good for it. Ride, I guess? Ride, yeah. Yeah. It equates to drive. Yes, indeed.

[01:04:24] That's a six plus a four, which is a ten. Okay. Yeah. It's just like... And you're just going like gunning back to the... Or you gun it and the... As you do like a sick wheelie or a sick... Power slide. It's a power slide up in the intersection to go back to where you guys came from originally.

[01:04:52] I guess just in case the shadow portal doesn't work, then we can hopefully just drive all the way back to Mythsend. Yeah. Um... And, um... Yeah. You basically go... You start approaching 70. And then the rest of that bomb plunks out of the portal as the portal collapses. And you just see it fall. 150 feet. 100 feet. 50 feet. And you're hitting 80 at this point. 85. 86.

[01:05:22] 20 feet. 89. 89. And it... Oh, we're going 90, not 88? Yeah. Sorry. Fine. 88. Um... And the... Suddenly the radio kicks in. Um... Hello, darkness, mild friend. And then you're suddenly not in reality... In daylight anymore. You're completely encompassed in darkness. Um... There's a flash behind you. Okay.

[01:05:52] But then there's just darkness. Um... And you hear water... Like you're, um... Hydroplaning. Okay. Um... And then... Uh... What else? What do you do? You're... Right now you're hydroplaning in pure darkness. Okay. Um... A perception check of 14. Okay. Do I realize that we're surrounded by water? You guys are surrounded by water.

[01:06:22] Like it seems. There is land... You can faintly see land in the distance. Like... You can see like the edges of like light. Like over like some... Over some like mountains. And whatnot. But that's about it. Okay. Okay. So then while we're still hydroplaning... I'm going to grab my staff... And use it to cast wall of ice... In a bowl shape... Underneath us. Okay.

[01:06:52] So now we have... An ice bowl boat. With nothing for propulsion. Yeah. That's correct. It's a whole lot better than sinking. You can get a bomb. Then everybody roll me forward to it. It says you guys just suddenly stop. Because you stopped moving. Yeah. Oh, we might, you know, go up the bowl and do a sick... Um... I can't think of any... Okay. Well, sorry. Then... Skateboarding move. Yeah. The driver... Roll drive to not fly off...

[01:07:22] Like do... Like fly off the edge of that... That bowl that now has been created. Sure. I'll do that. Yeah. Because the headlight still works. Suddenly there's ice around you. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. That is a 20. Okay. You managed to basically just start rolling around this bowl of ice. As it's slowing... Slowly slowing down. Because it's also ice. As you slow the accelerators on some of that. I'm sure this is normal. Yeah. Actually, everybody still roll me forward to... Because like now you've got to hold on. Also, I'm trying not to throw up. Yep.

[01:07:52] Everybody in a circle. Alright. Well, the two of the Polish men don't make it. Don't make it? They start... Oh, checking. Oh, okay. They just immediately die. When Jerika up chucks... The old lady's stern stuff... Did I call her Jenna? The one with the brand on her neck and like... Yeah. Yeah. I think, yeah. She holds her stuff as well. 17? You hold your stuff. 22. You hold your stuff.

[01:08:22] Alrighty then. But yeah, basically then the car eventually comes down to a very quiet... Like to a stop. Okay. Um... And then it... Um... So... Yeah, you're kind of just stuck there in the dark... In darkness. Um... Maybe change the channel? Or change the station? Let's see if there's some sweet tunes. Um... I don't know if we should do that first. Yeah, we'll be able to wait a minute. You feel fine. You actually feel like... Hey. Feel better.

[01:08:52] Home. Yeah. You kind of feel like familiar here. Mm-hmm. Um... Actually, you hear it from your back, I guess, or wherever your gun is like... Home. We're home. Is he just like a freaking skeletal like horse in the back now? Um... Actually, it's starting to rattle a little bit. Like the gun. Okay. Uh... It is on your back, right? Or is it on your... It's on my leg. It's a pistol. It's... It's... It's shaking like violently in its holster. What do you want? Not now. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out.

[01:09:23] Okay. Um... You throw it up. Um... It... Explodes... Oh. Into two separate things. Into the gun. And into this... Black... And teal... Blazing mare. It just lands on the truck. Oh, it lands right next to the truck. Oh, okay. In the water. It lands in the dark waters. Mm-hmm. As if the water isn't even... As if the water is basically just like a light sheet. Yeah. Uh...

[01:09:53] And it's just... Pfft. Hey, how's it going, man? Not too bad. It's good to see you in the... In the... Flesh? Bone? Where are you at now? You do not know how cramped that gun was for so long. I suppose. Good to be home. I've been feeding you souls, though, through it, so it's nice. We have. As all the people in the back are like, uh, what? So, uh... What do you want to do, boss?

[01:10:24] Well... Yeah, a workhorse. Splendid. He may not appreciate being calm, Matt, but... Have we named him? Uh, you did not name him. You know what he is. He's a Midnight Bear. Mm-hmm. What? Would he have his own name? Um, yeah, he probably does. He won't give it to you, though. Fair. Okay. Well, um... First things first, we need to get to these, uh, civilians out of here. Are you sure? I mean, they can hang out for a little bit, but... I am a little peckish.

[01:10:55] You can't feed on them. I'm sorry. Fine. Well, I mean, you could, but... Two of them are so pure of heart that it will literally kill you to eat, and we can't tell you which ones. You're evil. Just stings at me. That phrase. Um...

[01:11:25] All right, well, where do you want to go? Um... Well, I haven't been here in a while. Uh, do you know precisely where we are? We are effectively in the Ontario Ocean. I wasn't aware that was an ocean. I'm assuming I don't have a map with geological landmarks from my previous time here. Or do I know everything? Well, you do know some things about the Shadow World.

[01:11:53] The Shadow World is a reverse of the real world. Okay. Land masses are water masses, and water masses are land masses. Yeah, I just don't know how much my character knows. Yeah, that's basically the bout of it. Like, you don't know where you are at geography at all times in the area. Like, you do need to match for that stuff. But you do know that the geography is like that. Okay. Yeah, sorry. Then, um, I'll just ask how deep is it here? It's as deep as you want to be. Or until something comes up from the depths. Right. Picture it like ice on a lake. Mm-hmm. All right.

[01:12:22] He says, the horse says like that, but not with his hooves like or anything like that. Why not? He's not that cartoonish. Yeah. He's not that cartoonish. All right, fair. All right, um, hmm. Yeah, we really just jumped in here to, uh... Escape a thermal nuclear blast, yeah. Yeah. It's a pretty good idea. Mm-hmm. It worked, yeah. I didn't expect that you would, um, show yourself like this. I didn't either. So that's pretty cool. Yeah. I'll have to stop by here more often. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

[01:12:51] Does that mean that when you go back, I have to go back in the gun? You're gonna have to, probably. But here's the thing. My... I know. I'll pet him. But you see here. My friend here, Balthazar. Of Balthazar's Bazaar. Yes, I know the whole story. Oh, right? I've been in your gun the whole time. You've been hearing things. He's a wizard. I know. And because of that, I... Well, I haven't talked to you about this specifically. I literally have been listening the entire fucking time. I haven't... By the way, damn, that was loud when you and your wife were doing the whole thing. That's...

[01:13:23] I'm sorry. I've had that on my chest for ten fucking years. Okay, fair. You could have told me that in private. You don't have to tell that in front of all these random people. There's women back there. They need to hear that. Anyways, um... It's a pretty dark, gritty world that they came from. They probably watch people do it. Probably, yeah. No. The old woman's like... Just nods strangely. Yep. Okay, um... Shit, I forgot where I was going with this now. You need to get back to that Miss End place or whatever?

[01:13:53] Yes. Have you tried switching the station? No. I'm going to say that that was the horse saying that earlier, not just me pointing that in the direction there. Well, essentially I didn't want to do that immediately because if we went Shadow Realm, switch the station, like go to the Shadow Realm and then immediately switch the station back, we pop back in the real world as the blast wave is coming towards us still. Yes. You teleport...

[01:14:22] Or unless you have a focus on the other side. That's what the signal's for. Miss End... Doesn't that town have a radio state... Have a radio tower somewhere? Yeah. And haven't they been using a signal? Yeah. This is your horse like staring like... It's like... It's like... Into your personal space. Do you happen to remember the station? I don't. Does Balthazar? Sure, why not? Roll... Memory. Base Intelligence.

[01:14:52] Alright, well... I have a plus 30 to that, so... I do get a plus 5. Yes. So, 23. Okay, yeah, you remember the... You happen to like catch the station, where the dial was on their radio? They sing their whole jingle? Yeah. Mm-hmm. So you're able to figure out what the radio signal is on the... Or frequency is. Alright. Well, everyone hold on to your hats. If you don't have hats, then...

[01:15:22] The three guys are just like... No. Hold on to their hats. Hold on to your butts. Yeah? Everyone specifically hold your butts. I will not choose the station until everyone does this. Everyone good? Yeah, they're... Awkwardly, like... I reach over and I grab his shirt. That's not my button. Alright. Alright, but... Okay, anyways. Switch. Okay, you switch them over. Yeah. Um... You hear one last... And then the...

[01:15:51] And then there's a flash. And you guys are on the very edge of Miss End. You're no longer in that forest. Okay. That Miss End was surrounded by when you guys went to Wilno. You're in a new location. Oh. It apparently phased when you guys phased... When you guys went to the Shadow Realm. Okay. Well, we didn't really get anything awesome in that trip. We only saved lives.

[01:16:20] You saved lives and you got a phase capacitor and a Twi laser. Sorry. We didn't get anything that the village wants us to collect. No. You go out. Yeah. Technically, yes. Because we went out there to get these people. Which is what asked of you to do. So... Mm-hmm. Um... You, uh... You actually see the guard come run... Like, uh... You see Mitchell and, uh... Um... Describe how they see the truck phasing back into existence in front of them. With the guards? Sure. Um...

[01:16:49] Basically, it's kind of like a giant shadow ball. And then it implodes and there's suddenly a car there. Oh, okay. That works. Um... Kind of the same how the, um... How the robot was like... There was this giant dark mass. Like a black hole kind of opened it up. And then it... It, like, imploded on itself. And then in its space, the, uh... The robot turned out. Okay. Cool. Yeah. And then I will, um... And, uh, you see Mitchell's like... Oh! Thank... Thank God!

[01:17:18] A new trick, I guess? Like, did you guys... We thought when we phased... Like, we phased after because... Like, the sirens went off, like, all across town. Across town. The lights flared, like, mad. Like, we've never seen it before. And there was a bright light out beyond the borders. And then we just phased. Yes, you did. And so we thought we'd lost you guys. But... Wizard. Yeah. Do you know how long it's been, though? No. It's only been, like, two days. My God! Oh, okay. That's not too bad.

[01:17:48] Sorry. I just... Yeah, that's fine. But, yeah. This guy has a flair for the dramatic. Yeah, the council want, like... Kind of like... Yeah, we were just, like... Gave up hope. They want to see you. Of course. They gave up hope after two days. When we phased, it's generally... Unless... Like, that's generally it. Like, we can't... Yeah. I totally understand. Okay. But, yeah. Basically, on the way back into town, he relays that basically... Basically, the town...

[01:18:17] It didn't even really give them much of a warning to, like... Oh, there's going to be, like... Like, it usually gives, like, a couple of hours of warning. It was, like... And then the lights flared up in the river. And the town just phased. As a bright flash kicked off in the distance of the... Beyond the world. So it's a good thing I told the Duke to tell all the guards to just... Stay inside. Yeah, to stay inside and buckle down. Yeah. Okay. So, yeah.

[01:18:44] Apparently, the town reacts to violent external situations. Or was it because of our shadow situation? It could have been that, too. Yeah. Well, because you said that, I'm assuming it's that. Yeah. You spoiled it. Well, I'm saying that's a suggestion or something. But... Sure you are. I know, yeah. I'll work on that. It's cool. I'll work on that. That's part of the reason I'm pointing it out, because... How else would you say that? Like, how else would you bring that up? Just leave that to the U.S.

[01:19:13] I would say that you could say, well, okay, roll me whatever knowledge check. And then give a couple of hypothetical reasons. Okay. I'll work on that. Mm-hmm. Um... Yeah. As you go back into... As you go into town, um... Your wife comes home... Or comes running... Uh... Worried and... So does your son. Mm-hmm. That, like... With her new husband. Wow. In two days. Yeah. I gave up on you. Wow, fuck.

[01:19:42] Now you gotta share her. Michael Towers every night. Aw. Um... Fuck you, Aaron. Um... You, uh... You get back... You hand off the, uh... Do you take the phase capacitor out of the, uh... The car? Yes. You just... You take it out of the... Disconnect it? Yes. Yeah. Because that car is not yours. Well, I know, but we don't have to immediately return it, so we'll... We'll stop by... Do you wanna keep the phase capacitor?

[01:20:12] Yes, I have some experiments to run. Okay, so we'll... We'll drop off... Well... Yeah. They want you in town first. Like, you're in... You're in town first, so... Yeah, okay, so we'll... We'll do whatever they need, then we'll, um... We'll drop off the people, then... Take the... The capacitor out, and then I'll deliver the truck back. Yeah. Sounds good. Uh... Mr. Pratt is, um... At the, uh... At the steps, as is, um... Mr. White... And, uh... Miss Bailey... Uh... They're basically... Mr. Pratt is just like... Well, it seems that we have some new...

[01:20:41] Some new... I'm glad to see that you guys are safe, first off. And it seems that we have some new, uh... Citizens. Yeah. To be inducted. Yeah. There's, uh... Some useful ones. Excellent. Some useless ones as well. Well, I mean... They're welcome still. I'm joking, of course. I mean, they would've been welcome all the same. That's fair. Uh, yes, welcome to Myth's End. And, uh... If you'll just come with me and Miss Bailey, you will be able to get your paperwork sorted out, your residences and stuff. And they're just like... You'll do a bit of good, a bit of bad, and a bit of both.

[01:21:12] Yeah. Uh, but then the Dampier, uh... Girls... I think they were both girls. I might have a girl and a guy. Um... Are kind of snatched up by Mr. White. And it's like, ah, no, sorry. This way? Um... And you guys, if you'd like to come with me, um... You all have to change your names. I'm sorry. We didn't warn you about that ahead of time. Ah, shit. But... Yes, we'll figure something out. Or marry somebody with the... We have a very odd... Last name that starts in the same... First name, yeah. We have a very odd, uh...

[01:21:41] Alliteration law in town. We'll get it sorted out. Mm-hmm. Um... And yeah, you guys go over to Mr. White and receive the rest of your payment. Um... For, uh... Rescuing them. They really... You find that, yeah, they aren't... They are Dampier, but they're not related to the Whites. Since time goes by, um... The Dampier, um... And I'm assuming when the Whites came up to take the Dampiers, we... Like, they're kind of creepy looking, right? Yeah, like Adam's family guys.

[01:22:10] Yeah, so I'm assuming that we're like, yeah, they're okay. So they're not freaking out. So the girl looks like Wednesday Adams? Yeah, kind of. Dibs. God. Fair. Does the mother look like Morticia? Because then dibs. I'm married, but I don't care. God. It's just the dibs game. Exactly. God. Um... So yeah, the... They're basically... Or like... The...

[01:22:39] The will-know survivors go to... With Bailey and them to their... To the, uh... Civil center. The Dampier go with the Whites to, um... To figure out, like, their situation and so on. Um... And Jerika's just kind of there, like, kind of in between with Jenna. And it's like... It looks over at you guys like... So... Do we go with them, like, to figure out Registrancy? Or like... No, you're with me. Okay. Can Jenna come? Yes. Okay. There's room in the tower, I guess, huh?

[01:23:07] Well, yeah, there's room in the tower. But beyond that, um... One of them is going to be an apprentice of yours? Or both of them, I don't remember. I'm thinking what I'm going to do is we're going to outfit Jerika as the, um... Well, because their world is pretty hazardous. Yeah. So, um... You could actually, uh... Teach, um... Jerika to hone her sharpshooting abilities. Mm-hmm. And, uh... We can obviously amp up her weapons with some electricity.

[01:23:37] Yes, of course. And, um... Fire. Um... And I can teach Jenna to be the wizard. Yep. That works. Or she'd be a witch. Technically. Well, it's a mage. Because witch is actually a PC class, and these are NPC classes. Actually, they are... They are PC... Player character NPCs. Jenna's a full PC NPC. Okay, Jenna at the moment is not. Okay. Jerika is. But, like, um... What's his name?

[01:24:07] The Russian Ninja is a fully... Yeah. Statted out player class. Um, right? Yes. And that's what you do for NPCs that you want to be especially epic. Yeah. But NPCs that are not... Yeah, Jenna will probably just be, like, an adept, basically. Have I used... Or... However you were going to plan on doing, like, the... The... The Balthazar initiative, or whatever it was. So you get two people already. Because, uh, Carter. Yep.

[01:24:36] And you have now two Carters. Yeah. Well, I'm training one Carter. You got the other Carter. Yep. Then when they're both fully trained, then we can find two more Carters. Exactly. Perfect. It works. The contingent of Carters. Just keep sending Carters. On the Omnitale Lane of Carters. Yeah, there are red shirts. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. So, when I make my Demi Plane... Do you ever make an Elemental Plane of Carters? If it's mostly populated by Carters, is it the Elemental Plane of Carters? Yes. Basically, yeah. Okay.

[01:25:06] Unless they have... Unless they have... Also... The problem with the... What I envision with the Elemental Plane... When it's an Elemental Plane of something, I usually envision that it has, like, in the thousands of, like, population. So you can just keep throwing things at me. Yeah, no, I have to be very careful about how many people populate my place. Mm-hmm. Yes. Because it takes a lot of work to be able to make a single acre of land. Yeah. And... It's like, I just make a skyscraper. It doesn't use much land, Matt. No, no. No, no. Because... It's a sphere. In that situation?

[01:25:37] There's a ceiling. Mm-hmm. And the ceiling is... Basically, I make... I make cubes. Cubes of demi-plane. Okay. And I can connect the cubes. So I can make it 20 feet tall, but each cube is 10 by 10 by 10. Mm-hmm. I get to make a certain number of cubes per casting of this fell. So the ground there, is it diggable? Like, essentially, is the cube... It has a limit. It has a finite limit.

[01:26:06] Well, okay, it's a cube, but is the quote-unquote ground level in the middle of that cube, and then you can build underneath it, or is it an empty cube, and that's the bottom you cannot... It would be the never actually described. So, okay. I can make it as deep as I want and just fill it with earth, which would make it diggable, but technically, it's not really diggable. Okay. It's kind of... The way I kind of envision it is it's kind of like if you, in the Minecraft... I was just going to say Minecraft.

[01:26:32] There's that flat, that planar one where it's just basically a layer of dirt and a layer of bedrock, and that's it. And then it goes down straight into the end. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Okay. That works. Like, you physically cannot break through that bedrock because there's nothing underneath it. So if you actually wanted soil and... You had to bring that in. ...plants and shit, you would have to throw in a bunch of dirt on top of the base. Um, no and yes. It could technically be a planetoid. There are three tiers of this spell. Mm-hmm.

[01:27:02] Um, there's, uh, lesser, standard, and greater. Yeah. Create demi-plane. Mm-hmm. Um, lesser is basically, you've got that base of bedrock. You can't dig. There's nothing. Mm-hmm. Um, you can't build structures in there, but it's always a decent temperature. You can bring in furniture and stuff. Yeah. But it's a very small space. Like, honestly, it's probably no bigger square footage than the house. Mm-hmm. Yeah.

[01:27:29] Um, but, you know, it's a livable space and a good work, uh, good workspace to deal with. Mm-hmm. The next stage up allows you to, um, um, put in, um, um, it does allow for things like soil. Okay. Like, things can, but can you, like, grow plants and shit there? Yes. Okay.

[01:27:58] But none of them actually allow for plants to be created as part of the spell. So you have to bring seeds in with you and plant them. Mm-hmm. Okay. So anyways, going, yeah, going back to the game. Um, so, yeah, so you, you're taking Jerika and Jenna. Um, well, sorry. Are you, are, is Jerika going to the tower with you or is she going with Jenna? He lives above a store, so she can come stay with me and Jenna. And then just go to. You're probably going to spare one.

[01:28:27] Um, well, Jerika and Jenna are kind of, like, they're, they're inseparable. Oh, that's true. All right. That's fair. Um, but, uh, all right. So you're, you're returning home then? Yeah. I'm going to make sure my parent, my family knows I'm not dead. Or were they already there at the ceremony? They came running. They came running as soon as they saw your truck come in. Oh, okay. You mentioned that and then immediately went onto something else so I couldn't react. Sorry, yeah, yeah. So, uh, we'll, we'll assume that we hugged it out. Yeah. Yes, of course. Um, all right, so you, you're, you return back to your, uh, your, your, uh, shop. Yes.

[01:28:57] Um, and roll me a perception check. Well, we removed the, uh, the capacitor thing from the truck first and then run back. Yeah. Okay. That's pretty good. That's, uh, 29. Um, you go inside, like the store wasn't closed. Like it wasn't said, it wasn't stated that it was closed. Like it's still like midday actually. Um, but I wouldn't have opened it. No, no.

[01:29:26] Your, your wife is like, Oh, she was standing in the store? Yeah. Your, your wife was basically still staying in the store. Oh, okay. But she came running out and so bad. So the store isn't, wasn't technically closed, but there wasn't anybody watching inside. And there's definitely somebody inside because they're skirting around in like that, like one of the alleys and then like, you hear like a, like kind of, yeah. Mm-hmm. Um. The half naked man. It's your wife's affair. Oh. Um. Well, let's just roll initiative with him and me right now. Okay. All right. Uh, you die.

[01:29:56] Oh, really? Yeah. Um, what do you, yeah. What do you do? Do you go down that aisle? Um. Do you do anything specifically? I gotta call it my son's name. See if it's him. Uh, no. She said, he, or they say. Show yourself. Hey. Don't, don't do it. Don't do it. Uh, you, you see, uh, coming out, um, with some stuff. Like, I swear to God, I just want, I wanted to purchase this stuff. Uh, he's holding a, it's, it's, um.

[01:30:25] It's an LNG. It's a halfling. Um. We're the shorter guys, uh, from the, uh, from little, from old little Canaan. Um. The little, like the, the little neighborhood. Mm-hmm. Where all the, uh. Like the, like the, like the, like the Nephilim were. Yeah, the Nephilim were where the Davidsons exist. Yes. Uh. Anyway, he's just like holding all this, like this stuff, like, um. Like, parts for guns and stuff. Mm-hmm. Uh, it's like, no, I don't, don't, don't you. I just, I need to buy some, some, some parts.

[01:30:55] Oh. Well, welcome to the shop then. Yeah. We'll put the gun away. Uh, he actually like looks at this, like, is like watching the gun the entire time. Mm-hmm. And not so much out of like fear, just like fascination. Mm-hmm. So. Hi. Um. My name's, my name, my name's, uh, my name's Freeman. Freeman Flingstone from, from, from the, from old Canaan. Have I met him before? Should I roll a little coincidence? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're all local. We're all knowledge local. Oh, yeah, that's a thing. You actually have knowledge local? Yes, I do. Nice. Because I'm a local.

[01:31:28] I don't remember. Really? Well, I got 12. That's not bad. Do I remember? Yeah. Um, yeah, the Freemans, well, you know the Freemans, um, or sorry, not the Freemans, the Flingstones, um, meet the Flingstones. I've met the Flingstones. The Flingstones? They're, they're a modern Stone Age family. No, they're a modern, modern age family. Actually, no, they're, oh, they're Stone Age. Not Stone Age, but they're like, they, they don't wear, they're very, um, like, primitivish? Like, they're very, like, kind of sandal punk. Like, they wear sandals. Okay.

[01:31:57] Not togas, but, like, more older fare and some of that. They're leaning into the medieval aspect of things. Yeah, they're leaning a little more into the medieval stuff. That's cool. Um, but, uh, the Fling, they're also, like, kind of a, um, they're one of the expanded, uh, families from the, uh, the Davidsons when they kind of took over Little Canaan. Okay. Or Old Little Canaan. Little Canaan, Old Canaan, Old Little Canaan. It's kind of all the same neighborhood. All right. Either way. I know them, but do I know him? Uh, you don't know him. Okay.

[01:32:25] He seems to be, like, and you know the Flingstones are a shorter bunch. Okay. Than, uh, than the Davidsons, than some of the Davidsons or other families that are there. So. Well, I'll extend my hand and shake his hand and, um. Yeah. I've heard of you guys, but I haven't met you, so nice to meet you. Yeah. I'm, uh, I'm Waylon. Waylon Winchester of Winchester Widgets. Yeah. I know exactly who you are. Like, I've kind of kept tabs on you and, um, uh, I've been, like, kind of, uh, like, watching you, like, do the, uh, not in a creepy way, of course. Just, like, uh. Yeah. Just start drawing my gun again.

[01:32:55] He's a spy. No, like, um, see, like, I'm kind of an admirer of yours. Um, I really want to know what guns. Oh, really? Yeah. Like, they're really cool and. You're not wrong. Like, they're, they're like sling stones, but you don't have to, like, you just gotta aim and shoot and, like, there's some work. They just do it. Yeah. And they don't shoot stones. Yeah. They shoot, they shoot better things than stones. Yeah. Like, yeah, they're just, they're just really cool. Um.

[01:33:24] You are not wrong with shit. And he's, like, he's, like, looking at, like, how she's looking at these parts. Like, I was actually gonna try and make one. Oh, really? Yeah. I've actually got one already half built at home. Um, with some of the parts that we've, from, like, the, that I've been borrowing from, uh, from one of my friends. Damn. Because he's got a receiver, stock, barrel, but he doesn't have the 10 orc in cells. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. That's a problem. But he doesn't have the blueprint. I, I saw the blueprints. Yeah. They can farm all the parts they want, but they need the blueprints from me.

[01:33:54] That's how it works. Um. Well, that's interesting to hear. I heard, and you just came back from something. That was really, like, how was that? Like, find anything cool? It was cool. And not cool. I, I, I found this, which I, I may be able to fashion into some sort of laser weapon. Which, that might be cool. He just, his eyes are just like. I know, right? It's shiny. It's not cool. But anyways, that's fine. So, um. I'm kind of curious about this weapon that you're making. Um. You know what? I'll close up shop.

[01:34:23] Uh, why don't you, um, show me what you're making? And, um, if I'm interested, you can have these parts for free. Really? Yeah, sure. Why not? He, he's just like, overjoyed. It's like, thank you. So yeah, he goes, uh, very, uh, excitedly and sheepishly. Like, you follow him. Um. Um. He is, as you follow him. Uh. To little Canaan. Uh. To his, his house. Um. You, you pass a few of the Freemans. Or, you pass a few of the Flingstones. Mm-hmm. Um. There's Betty. No, there's, there's.

[01:34:54] There's Betty. Farnie. There's Francine. Freddie. Yeah. No. Um. God damn it. Oh, Freddie Flingstone. Uh. Yeah, I know. Um. I have a dog named Fino. Yeah. Phoenix. Phoenix. Oh, yeah. Uh. It's a bird. Yeah. Bird dog. Actually, it's a griffon. Oh, there you go. A little, like a, like a mini griffon. Anyway. So they can have a mini griffon, but he can't. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. You're sick with power.

[01:35:23] You're mad with power. I am a mad god. Anyway. Um. He, he goes, he takes you out to the, um, the, the back shed kind of area. Mm-hmm. Uh. And, uh. So what's he making? It's. Like a pipe gun. From, like, Fallout 4. So, like, it's basically, like, fashioned from, like, old pipe parts and stuff. It's like a potato gun. Yeah. Roll engineer. Or roll gunsmith. Roll gunsmith. But it's the size of a howitzer. Ooh. There you go. That's cool. And he uses it one-handed.

[01:35:53] 26. 26. So he's definitely working on, like, a short rifle. Like, a small scale rifle. Like, a rifle that he could use. The carbine. Yeah. It's close to getting done. Okay. Like, he's pretty good. He's actually already on his wave. So, like, he's pretty, he's been, he's, and you also look over and there's, like, you recognize books and textbooks from the library. Mm-hmm. From the Alexandria Library that where your, uh, uh, your wife's sister works, or, like, works with and stuff. Yes.

[01:36:22] Like, you recognize some of these textbooks that have been lent out. Mm-hmm. They are, like, engineering books and, like, uh, like, basically gunsmith books and stuff. So the guy's been learning. The guy's been working on stuff. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And, yeah, he's, like, kind of proudly, like, and yet sheepishly showing. He's, like, yeah, this is, uh, this is what I've come up with so far. Um, I don't think it's quite ready yet. I still need to get, like, uh, the, uh, some, uh, proper caliber and I need to make some, get some bullets proper. What are you planning to shoot out of it?

[01:36:48] Um, I was thinking, um, uh, well, I was, I was looking at this one, uh, this one thing on this book, uh, like hollow points. Um, but, like, I'm pretty sure I can, like, make the mold proper for it. Okay. So it's a rifle then? Yeah. It's not a shotgun or, uh... No, I, I want, like, something a little bit more precise. Kind of like, like a, like a sling stone, but, like, something, again, like, something with accuracy. That's fair. Okay. It, it could be.

[01:37:16] You could use those weird gyro bullets as your thing. Um, well, you know what? I'm really impressed with what you've done here so far. Uh, do you have a name for it yet? Um, no, not yet. Well, you have to come up with one. I guess, yeah. And these parts will do the job to help you come up with that, so. So, I can't believe how easy this is. Like, thanks. Thanks a lot, like, for the parts. It's nice to see someone of like mind. Yeah. Yeah, you realize he's gonna have to put you out of business. What?

[01:37:46] Yeah. I mean, yeah, but that's the thing. Like, you just work for me now. That, that? I'm fine with that. Wait, are you offering me a job? Let's see how this comes out. And, um, yeah, maybe. Okay. You know what? See, like, and he goes running, like, like up a, like a ladder, like, uh, to the loft of the shed. The shed is basically, like, for him, it's like basically a small cottage. But I'm like, eh. In a few, it's just the shed. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. But he like goes into this little loft area and comes, like, comes out again with like a binder.

[01:38:16] And like, I actually had this, it's, this is like a long-term stage that I have a deal with. And he like opens up the pages, like, I just, I want to like come up with a gun that can, that, like, I was actually gonna, I was gonna talk to Dagnatius once, uh, one of these days, but I guess I have to go talk to Balthazar about it. Hopefully he's nice. He's a pretty cool dude. But I want to make, uh, once I'm getting this gun done, I want to start modding it maybe to do this.

[01:38:42] And he like points it over and you need like, uh, the way he's like showing it is basically it has, um, a spell like telekinesis to grab onto something and then use that as the ammo for the gun. Oh. It's like feeds into the gun, like basically like a junker, like a, like a junket or like the gravity gun from a certain computer game. Which I actually know because I'm from the future. I'm from the future. Time by. I think I know what you're, uh, shooting for here.

[01:39:12] Yeah. I'm thinking of calling it a telegun. Yeah. You could. Or a kinetagon. Mm-hmm. Hmm. Although depending on what you're gonna have to use to, uh, power this, we'll see. Hmm. But yeah, um, I'll tell you what, this idea is really interesting. Um, you get your other gun done. And if you need help on this one, I'll help you out. Cool. Thank you. Alrighty then.

[01:39:41] So, so, do I still work for you now? I want to see what you can do. Oh, I want to see your other gun shoot first. Okay. Cool. But, um, yeah, keep in touch. Um, stop by the store whenever you want. Yeah, will do. Um, we're open from blah to blah. I know. Okay, cool. Have I not seen him in the store before? Um, you probably, actually, roll me an intelligent check. All right. Because I feel like I'm just being. So. Oh, he sees a hand come up from the.

[01:40:11] No, roll me an intelligent check. Roll me the beverage check. Roll me the beverage check. On the aisles, you actually can't see him standing over. Yeah. I'm just seeing stuff, like, being pulled away from the shelves. I'm like, who's taking these things? They're being bought. So what? Uh, what do you have? A natural toy. Wow. Okay. So it doesn't matter. You. Now that you're thinking, it's like, I have seen this guy. Like, you think, like, occasionally you've seen, like, a guy, like, just, like, in the shop. But, like, one of the smaller guys in the shop.

[01:40:42] But you've never really, like, paid much mind to him. Because he's been, like, really, like, kind of just in the corner of your eye. Just, like, almost afraid to, like, approach you at all. Okay. Yeah. Like, the only, you think that the only reason he's approaching, like, he's become so forward now is because. I confronted him. You confronted him. You confronted him in the act of, like, basically, like, shopping. Yeah. Like, he's always bought, like, now that you think of it, it's like, yeah, I haven't had a couple of, like, short customers. But he's always buying, like, random shit, not, like. Or, like, his, or your wife's been the one that's maybe bought, like, bought, or, like, sold him.

[01:41:11] Sold things, yeah. Yeah. Okay. But, yeah. So, it's kind of like that. Like, you have noticed him, but, like, now that, like, you've actually confronted him, like, or, like, bumped into him, like, now it's kind of all kind of piecing back together. Okay. Cute. I.e., Chris is adding the orbital retcon cannon. That's fine. Wow. I've always known you. You're my best friend. But, yeah, you have basically a fellow gunslinger in the making. Sounds good to me. Yeah. Cool.

[01:41:39] So, when are you thinking that this thing will be ready to shoot? I give it about a week. I just gotta do some test runs. And he, like, points out the window. Do you have a fire range? Points out the window. He's literally got, like, three, like, targets out on an area that, like, goes outward toward the rim of the world, or the rim of the town. Oh, he's, like, on the border? Yeah, well, they're on, they're, well, actually, I guess they're, they're out toward the river, basically, because they're still within the loop. Okay, but he's not gonna be shooting into other people's properties.

[01:42:09] No, they'll be shooting, they'll be shooting out into the wilderness. Okay, so he's not doing it stupidly or nothing? No. All right, cool. Yeah, kind of, a little bit better than your system, but because, that's only because you're in the middle of fucking town. Yeah. And all you have is your backyard, so you're just, you're, you just had to set it up where there's a brick wall. Hmm. Hmm. I'm assuming I've taken some sort of precautions. Yeah, you probably actually had to maybe even put some metal, like, metal plating on that wall. Essentially, if you make, like, an open box, like, at the end of the...

[01:42:37] Yeah, because, like, well, the thing is, like, your, your house, or your shop, is in the middle of town, and your backyard is essentially just goes back, is completely surrounded by other buildings. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So, but you probably, like, yeah, put up, like, one of those, like, box targets or something. Or, or, or I made an extension of the, um, the house or the garage or whatever to accommodate an actual indoor firing range. Yeah, that could have worked too, yeah. Like a, uh, simplified kind of indoor situation. Yeah. Because I sell guns.

[01:43:07] Yeah, obviously. And generally people want to try them. Mm-hmm. But yeah, okay. Okay, so, um, I'll stop by in a week and see how you're doing. All right. Um, see you then. Yeah, I gotta get back and, uh, see the wife. You're probably really busy, yeah. I've been away for a couple days. You just hear it on your holster. I'm just like, pfft. Sorry, I'm a little cold. Although, although, only I hear him, right? Yeah. Unless he's a horse? Yes. Or even when he's a horse. Was I just talking to a horse the entire time?

[01:43:37] He, he, he, you guys, they heard you. All right, cool. When he's a horse. Yeah. Cool. All right. So, nice meeting you. And, um, I'll stop by a week or you stop by in a week. Um, if you need any extra parts. Uh, I know you. Yep. Cool. I'll see you later. Thank you. Bye. Bye. Um, yeah, you, you trudge off and go home and, uh, see your kid and your wife and anything you'd like to do in that time? Um.

[01:44:03] You walk, you actually, when you walk home, uh, your kid is, um, uh, chasing some other kids with his gun. Like, down the street. Did I make that gun for him yet? No, you didn't make the gun. You gave him the, the, the, the dead gun, basically. I was gonna say, did I deactivate a gun for him? Yeah, you deactivated a gun for him. Okay. Uh. Basically playing, like, cost some robbers kind of thing. Wyatt? Yeah, sir. What are you doing? Put the gun in your pocket.

[01:44:33] Nothing. Are you sure about that? Yeah. I see everything. Are you sure about that still? No. No. He, he just, like, sheepishly hands you the gun. Like, he's just joking around. I'm gonna have to, uh. Uh, his, his friends are just like, come on, mister, we weren't, we're just doing, we're just playing, like, we're just making pretend. Like, we know the gun doesn't shoot. He's just joking around. Yeah, he's just joking around.

[01:45:02] I'll make sure the, uh. It doesn't, it's not, it wasn't fire, we tried it. You tried it? Well, good thing I deactivated it. That really doesn't help. No, it doesn't. Alright. Just play safe. I'll, I'll inform the, uh. Uh, like, is there, like, a police force? The guard. Just the guard, yeah. I'll inform the guard that you are not using an actual gun.

[01:45:31] I was gonna, I was just gonna say that, like, tonight I'll, I'll wrap the barrel in the orange duct tape. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, alright. So, then you go, and then what do you do? You just have a. Um, I'm gonna put the, the, my loot that I've, uh, gathered away. Ah, yes, your twilaser. My twilaser in the, um. The blood siphoning thing, and. Did we move anything off the vampire?

[01:46:00] I know there was a bunch of random shit. I don't think I, I don't know if that was divvied out yet. You did. You did. Yeah. I just don't remember. I don't remember what we got. It was like a, a box in, like, armor. You did write it down. But either way, I, I don't know if we divvied it out yet, but either way, it doesn't matter. So, I'm gonna put my shit aside. Um, and then just have a relaxing day at home with my family. That's fair, yeah. Yeah, eventually your kid, eventually your kid comes in for dinner, and you guys have, like, a nice dinner. Mm-hmm.

[01:46:27] I'll tell them the tale of how their father and the great Balthazar, of Balthazar's Bazaar, and. Yeah, we've heard this one before. Yeah, but not. We've heard all of his titles before. Jesus. Why can't you have a cool title? You're just like, why can't I have a cool title? You're right. I should have a cool title. The Lord of Bones and Smoke. Bones and Smoke? Yeah. Because the gun has, like, bones and stuff on it?

[01:46:54] Yeah, and the horse is a, uh, a midnight mare. Is he, like, not a skeletal horse. It's not a skeletal horse. But still. Yeah. It's very demonic. Bonesy. Kind of. Smoke. Gunsmoke. That's true. Lord of Gunsmoke. I don't know. We'll work on it. We'll work on title. But either way. Have dinner and essentially tell them the events of what happened. I am, sorry, I am Wayland Winchester, the dark gunslinger. Mm-hmm. Yeah.

[01:47:24] Okay, yeah, you basically retail some stuff. Back at the tower. The wizard's tower. Hold on a second. I'm suffering from a mild case of puppy paralysis. It's okay, you're not gonna have to roll for shit. Okay. Well, I still want you closer to the table. But puppy paralysis, look at it. I know. You can do it, Aaron. I believe in you. I believe in you. That one's in a pocket, even. I know. But I believe in you.

[01:47:52] Are you really wanting to ruin this? Yes. No. Up we get. Oh. Good girl. You get up to the tower. You get up to the tower. I'll say, actually, Daryl is outside cutting wood. Right. Daryl to Daryl. Daryl to Daryl. I've been trying for most of this session to remember what his name was.

[01:48:22] Yeah. And he's like, oh, we have new guests or new residents of the tower? Bit of both. Daryl. And, uh, actually, as soon as, like, Jerrica sees him, she gets ready an arrow. It's like, you said you guys didn't deal with vampires. Not a vampire. He's a Daryl. There's something different. What's a Daryl? From another world. He's just like, I'm a cannibal.

[01:48:52] That's what he says. He doesn't, at least he doesn't automatically know you're a cannibal, dude. Come on. Cannibal? Nothing. And you hear, uh. That means he only eats his own kind, though, and he's the only Daryl. Then, uh, then, uh, Dimitri, Dimitri comes out and, uh, and sees the, the girls and just like, dibs. Unaware that one of them is probably related to him. Yeah. In some capacity. So it's, uh, Luke Skywalker's, uh. Dimensional capacity. Yeah. Leia situation.

[01:49:21] They are effectively, uh, Luke and Leia. Yeah. Dimensional siblings. Yep. Yep. Yeah. Yeah, he's just like, hi. All right. So, uh, uh, Jenna, this is Dimitri. You'll be working with him for a little bit. Hi, Dimitri. You're going to show her the ropes on, uh, the, uh, the, the really entry-level stuff until I get your, uh, books finished. Got some work to do. Mm-hmm. Okay.

[01:49:51] Um, well, right this way, ladies. No, no, no. What? Jerika is not learning that stuff. Oh. She's learning other stuff entirely. Well, she's still, is she living with us? Yes. Then right this way. You just mind your hand. I'm a wizard and see all. Jerika just lives like, oh, don't worry. He will. Pulls out a knife. Pulls out a silver knife.

[01:50:20] He's like, okay, okay. Um, and yeah, basically he shows them the, uh, the rooms and the levels and they're kind of thrown back a little bit by all this because again, they're in a wizard tower. They're in a wizard tower and they've been like, they've lived their entire lives in a world ruled by the paranormal, by, by basically corporate paranormal government, the creatures, um, but also blood suckers. Mm-hmm.

[01:50:47] Um, uh, and I guess we'll give them another, one of the storerooms. You should, you better start using that map I gave you. Yeah, to actually fill it out. Are you going to make Daryl and, uh, Dimitri share a room? Yeah. Oh, great. Of course. Yes. Why do I have to stay with the cannibal? Hey. Because you're aware that he's a cannibal. And if he tries to eat you, you can stab him. He looks over to him and he just like grins at just this like toothy, like sharp toothy grin. It's like, fine.

[01:51:16] What, you want me to have the girls sleep with him? No. Okay. But he'd love me to be pussy though. As he walks into his new room. That could be quite literal as well. Big D slapping hand. The back side of his hand. Yeah, as he goes, they go into their new room. He summons a giant magical hand. Mage hands. Yeah, it just makes him like roll forward and topple out the window. His neck kills him. Oh, God.

[01:51:47] It's okay. Just open up a portal to the Carter dimension. Just pull out another one. Just reach into it. There it is. Put into it. A different one that looks similar. Okay. Your brother will think that you're him. Yeah. Oh, God. It's terrifying. Note to self, write that scenario. Yep. All right. So is there anything that you're doing? Oh, I just have a lot of magic item creation to do. That's fair.

[01:52:13] Oh, actually, then I guess like during the night at some point, Daryl comes up to your, I assume you're in your loft area. Okay, the library, yeah. Daryl comes up. It's like, sir, there's a smell somewhere up here. That smells really familiar. Do you have, do you have stone books? Stone books? Yeah. Stone tomes.

[01:52:40] We calls them back at, we calls them. That's just, no, no. He's not like that. He's not going like that. You could make him talk like Igor. No. We have, we use, the Darrow use stone tomes and they give off a salty scent. Um, and I, like, like, like the sea. But, and I smell it up here. I've been smelling it all for like the last couple of weeks. Go sniff around and find it. He, he does.

[01:53:09] He sniffs around like all the books and stops at the part where the, where there's the, uh, the rare book room opening. Oh, the secret room. Okay. I'll open the door. Okay. Um, he goes inside, um, and yes, goes, beelines for the, uh, those weird, um, like stone, like, like, like, uh, like, kind of just those, those stones that were on the, on pedestals, um, on the, on the far end. Like, yeah, there they are.

[01:53:38] Uh, he just like goes to like grab one and touch one. Do you let him? Yeah. Yeah. Touch it. It's just like, kind of like, ah. And just like, kind of like shirks up, like straightens up a little bit. Um, and then there's a bit of a glow around the edges of his, of where his hand's touching on the stone. And then he lets go. It's like, that's a good read. It's a very good read. Okay. So you're going to have to show me how to use this. I'm going to go up and put my hand on the stone. Nothing else. So how do, how do I make it work?

[01:54:09] Ah, well. I don't know if Nandero can use it. Um, you'd have to, maybe you could, like, if you could, do you know any like polymorphic things that allow you to like make yourself partial like something else? Like maybe that works? It's maybe like a psychic, I believe it's some kind of like telepathic, um, like memory bank and like a, like a, like some kind of like somebody else.

[01:54:36] It's, it's somebody puts memories into the stone and you can share them. Hmm. Like a book. Okay. Yeah. No, I don't know that I know anything telepathic in nature like that. Well, actually this book actually has some of the, that started kit. So that kind of likes startup stuff. So, okay. Uh, I mean, what I want you to do is, uh, we're going to take this stone. I'm going to pick it up, take it out into the library proper. Okay.

[01:55:04] And then put it at a, uh, writing desk with, um, a big stack of paper and an inkwell. Uh, can you teach me your language first? Okay. I'm going to whistle real loud. Dimitri! What? Get your ass up here. Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun. Yeah. Yes, sir? Okay. I need you to, uh, go get Jerrica for me.

[01:55:34] Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun. Yeah. Jerrica, come up here. Excuse me, or Balthazar wants to talk to you. What? Yeah. So they both are up now. Okay. So, um, Dimitri, you have, uh, other things that you've got to be doing right now. Uh, Jerrica doesn't have a lot that's going to be taking up her time for the near future. So, Jerrica, I assume you know how to read and write. Yes. Excellent. I need you to teach this guy. Okay.

[01:56:02] He can, he can speak our language. He can read and write in other languages. He doesn't know English. Oh. So, you want, you want me to teach somebody else how to write? Yeah. You get to try being a teacher. Okay. I'll, I'll give it, I'll give it the, I'll give it a go. He's a quick study. He's reasonably intelligent for a Darrow. What's a Darrow? Like, what is he? Uh, he's a dark dweller. Okay, so he's not a vampire.

[01:56:32] Not a vampire. I don't, I don't drink blood. Just kind of says softer. Darrow. Sorry. What does he mean by that? What does he mean by that? He's turning over a new leaf. He was raised by cannibals. Okay. But I'm watching him. If there's anything, anything weird, I will, not kill him, but I will. Shank a bitch? I will Shank a bitch, yes. I do not know that term, but yes. No, she does.

[01:57:01] Oh yeah, that's true. She's from the 70s. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, technically Darrow is, Darrow and Dimitri from the 60s. Yeah. Or just from an alternate timeline. That's true. All right, so basically she goes through the, that'll be a couple, at least a few, like a month or two of teaching. And that's fine because I have a lot of stuff to make that's probably going to take a month. Yeah. So yeah, that's basically how we kind of, that's basically the night you guys get back and stuff.

[01:57:32] Are you doing anything else that night particularly? Hmm? Hmm? Um, well yeah, I'm trying to figure out how that, uh, phase capacitor works. Okay. Like exactly how it works so that I can recreate it with magic in ring format. Well luckily it is basically, um, like I said earlier, it is, the mechanical sciency bits for it are really just for Trent, for, um, having it powered and controlled by mechanical things.

[01:58:01] Um, the actual, um, teleportation and like the drive or the, the, the, uh, the arcane mechanics are actually, um, very simple. Like they're actually just basically rooms, um, in a, in a series of concentric rings on the inside, uh, of between, like in the middle of where those, uh, lights are and those diodes are actually just, uh, um, they're themselves are actually rooms.

[01:58:28] Uh, and when they light up, they, um, uh, they activate the, uh, the field to basically teleport into the shadow world. So it shouldn't be too difficult to, uh, shrink that down to ring size. Yeah. Take a little bit of work, but yeah. Okay. You're on, you basically have the, you now have the means of, like you just need to basically translate into a different format. Okay. Great. Great. Okay. Great.

[01:58:54] Um, and then, um, about halfway through the night, uh, you get a knock at the door. Oh. Open the door? It's Mr. White. Can I come in? Can you? Yes, I can. You met me in last time. Is that how that works? That's how it works.

[01:59:19] Uh, when new, when new own only, he only, he only couldn't do the first, like the second, like the, because I was a new owner. Yeah. You're the new owner of the household. There is also a theory that if you replace the threshold, they can't cross it. So if you want to try that next time, you just like, yeah, he walks out. Yeah. He walks in and he's just like, I can. Okay. Uh, I'm going to do next time. It's just like, invite me over, hand me the deed that I just handed back. So it changed hands. Oh my God. We do that every single night. See if that works?

[01:59:48] He's like, oh yes, Mr. Oh no. But yeah, he comes in and he's like, uh, apologies for coming out. So coming out here so late. Um, I just want to, uh, uh, again, thank you for doing, uh, or doing me this job or doing me this favor and, uh, job or the service, uh, and rescuing some fellow, uh, some fellows in need. They were quite delicious. What? No.

[02:00:18] Uh, they have, uh, we have, there were four. Yeah. We have procured them a, um, a residence, uh, near our, uh, near our household. Um, and, uh, we will, uh, again, as, as we have always done, we will continue to maintain, um, uh, control over our Nocturne, Nocturne, um, uh, Nocturne, Nocturne, uh, nature.

[02:00:49] Okay. All right. Also, I believe, uh, they were telling me that you have a slayer? No, you, uh, you, you, you folks brought in, uh, brought with you a slayer? Yes. I would very much like to talk to her, um, not, not this time of course, but at some point. Him or her. Um. Just trying to help. Yeah. Don't, don't, don't. I'm not. I wasn't. I'm just saying. How dare. You gave me the evil eyes. I know. I was, um. One step away from pistol weapon. Wow.

[02:01:19] Jeez. Just defending myself. Stop. Stop hurting me. As you're hurting me. Yeah, of course. Yeah. But anyway, um, I would very much like to discuss, uh, talk to them, uh, just to see what has changed or what, uh, what, what events have happened in the, uh, in our old world. Um. Um. No, obviously not right now. I'm sure they're either asleep or what have you, but, um, if they could come, uh, come

[02:01:48] visit at some point in the next week or so, I'd be very much appreciated. Um. Yeah. I think we could arrange some sort of a, uh, a public meeting place. Yeah. Of course. Fair enough. Uh, perhaps the park or the town square. That could be fine. Fair enough. Um. Again, I, I understand your trepidation against us or, uh, your, your caution toward us.

[02:02:16] I, is there any way that we will ever be able to. Will we ever be cool? Trust. Well, considering that this is our first real, uh, well, I mean, our second, uh, real interaction, maybe eventually, but trust is earned. Very well. Um. For everybody. I don't trust the Duke either. Why? He's the Pope. Well, he's been a loyal service for 60 years.

[02:02:51] Never immediately trust the Fuzz. He's the guard of the town. He just came from the 70s. Okay. That's right. Um. He's absorbed so much of the 70s in that little amount we were there. He, he, he now has a fro. Yeah. He's got bell bombs and everything. Yeah. Very well. Well, know that you have at least, um, earned, uh, earned the trust of the whites. And that he walks out. Um, and goes off into the night.

[02:03:20] Um, I guess with that, we'll kind of call it for now. Okay. Um. Probably a good place to end. Yep. Uh, what'd you guys think, um, for the game? Like, do you like it? Yeah. Anything I should work on? Well, apparently I, I should work on, uh, or I do need to work on, like, um, not revealing things to you guys. Yeah. Spoiling your own stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um. And like, you know that, I mean, the game was really just supposed to be combat and then

[02:03:50] we got to throw in a couple of vignettes at the end. So that's. Yeah. Well, um, so you were saying earlier actually about, um, like, uh, we, something about like the, about being, um, a little bit more of a, like a role playing thing within the town. So that's actually kind of how I want to do things or how you didn't do get, do a lot outside of the town. Like you guys didn't do, you guys went out into Noctera and didn't hold, do a whole lot. Well, that's actually kind of how I'm going to structure this campaign is that there will be a scenario that is focused on basically a travel guy, like basically a tourist, uh, episode

[02:04:19] where you guys go out, um, for something to do something for the, for the town because they need resources and whatever. And you guys get to see this weird, like new world. And then there will be scenarios like this one where you guys have to, could go out into the, into the, into, out into the world, but the, the world that's out there is either connected to the town or these adventures will be focused around the town itself. So that's why you guys didn't really leave too far from the town and why it wasn't so, um, it was actually something a little bit more personable to the town.

[02:04:48] Like you guys had to go out and like retrieve somebody or like see if somebody was okay and, uh, either bring them back or not. And then you guys ended up bringing them all back and stuff. Yep. Um, I'm also going to say you guys leveled up. Yay. Excellent. You're the double digits now. I is. I can now start throwing some of your things at you. I is now a level nine wizard, which means I get level five spell. I can take teleport as a spell. Nice.

[02:05:15] So do you want to know how, um, uh, how, uh, let's see how that robot was? Much higher than you actually played it. Yeah. Really? It had fast healing 11. Oh, did it? I actually might have removed that from the original. If you did, I appreciate it. Because that would have been better. 11? I'm pretty sure, yeah. I'm pretty sure I removed that. 11 per round? Yeah. Yeah. I basically, I basically gave you. Why would a robot have that? Just like, uh. Um, and that, but that's the thing. Um, I took the stats for this robot because it matched what I wanted. Yeah.

[02:05:45] But it wasn't a futuristic-y, it was a futuristic-y thing, but it was more of like a diesel punk. Like, mixed with like shadow magic. Mm-hmm. So I had rocket weapons. Yeah, I removed those as well. Really, the thing as it is, only had the tri-laser and the, um. The blood sucking situation. It could have grabbed you. Honestly, it's great. It's great. I was, I may have pulled my punch with the grab. Because I probably should have used the grab first.

[02:06:10] Um, but it basically has a 28, uh, it has a 24 CMB, like combat maneuver. And 28 to grapple. And it has a 36 CMD, like defense, to not, to get ungrappled. Fuck. Um, and basically what it would do is it grabs you. Next round, it tries to, it stabs you with one of its, uh, siphoners. And blood drains you, which takes away con. Yeah, that kills characters in very short order. Yeah.

[02:06:37] So I was having to use the lasers because that, like it was using its long range things first. Yeah. And then when you just nibbled them, it went after you, that with the other one. Mm-hmm. But at that point, um, I also felt fairly assured that you guys were going to own it because you guys were also using its vulnerability. Yeah. Which I've discovered. Yeah. Vulnerability is basically, yeah, so they do 50% extra damage when you use the right vulnerabilities. Uh, but it also had a bunch of immunities, like your cold damage.

[02:07:03] And if you score a crit, the crit, the multiplier is added after the vulnerability. Yeah. Oh. Well, that's nice. Yeah. You do 150% damage and then you do 200% of that damage. Yeah. Fuck. Um, how is the, um, actually, oh yeah, again, another thing with this one is like, uh, because of the nature of like the scenario, like being kind of like a travel log across different worlds, how was kind of just like venturing in and see, taking, getting a peek of the world and then having to jump back in? Is that okay?

[02:07:33] Or is that... This one specifically, um, this was a specifically hazardous world. Yeah. Um, so I kind of felt like this was the appropriate way for that one to happen. Yeah. Okay, so you guys were okay with, you guys were okay with suddenly like just hopping back to the town and vanishing? We probably shouldn't have hung out, like stayed the night or whatever the fuck. Yeah. Basically, like I had it said that basically the Inquisitor is watching the whole thing through the, like from, from home base or whatever. So he's watching it through the term, through the center, through his hunter killer drone.

[02:07:59] Um, and as soon as you guys take down the drone, he's just going to drop a tactical nuke because he's tired of Wilno being a hive of scum and villain to him. Yeah. Um, so... Like, cause they've already had people like fucking with them. Yeah, they're, they're, they're, the town itself, uh, like you guys didn't really, we didn't really role play a whole lot. Maybe that, that's one thing I, I do also regret is that, um, I don't, I feel like sometimes I don't role play enough with you guys in towns and stuff like that. Like in some of the towns that I might need to work on. Well, if you put on that French made out, right? Yeah. Yeah.

[02:08:29] Um, when it comes to like, uh, like, or like, am I just like, not like, um, like, is it a thing of like, questions aren't being asked, like the right questions aren't being asked, uh, or like... I would say we actually do, do quite a bit of role play. Yeah, I just, I'm just wondering if like, um... Well, for example, like the, uh, the Darrow, the half Darrow, whatever the hell people, or not Darrow. Dampier. Dampier, sorry, they're both these. They were essentially just hiding in the basement all the time.

[02:08:58] So we couldn't role play with them until they came out, I guess? Yeah. And they did come out a little bit, and we got to talk to them about that. Well, it was also a little, yeah, there was also a little bit of urgency because I threw the, uh, I kept throwing. I did throw the, the, the, the... Everything happened pretty fast. Yeah, that's the other thing. Like, did it, did it work too, like, was it too fast? Like, was it a problem, or was it a good thing? No, it was that, it was the product of this world. Okay. We got to this world, we got in a little bit of trouble, things escalated really fast, and we needed to get out.

[02:09:25] But then you compare it against, uh, the one that had the Darrow? Yeah, the, the three session camp. We were at a fortified city so we could chill and meet people and set things up. And actually do some RP before going to our secondary objective. Okay. So, yeah, no, it worked fine. Okay, so... And some of the characters, they weren't able to be developed because, like, not much happened. Like, um, Jenna, she was essentially the, um... She was the bait for Darrow. Yeah, she was, she was the bait, so she hasn't had time to shine yet.

[02:09:54] But because now that we saved her, she can develop more of the characters. Yeah, and you guys can talk to her a little bit more, get to know them a little bit more. Find out what they used to do and stuff like that. Maybe if you guys feel so inclined to ask and stuff. Yeah. And that's all, I'll leave that up to you guys if you guys want to actually, like, interact with them and stuff. Also, let me know if you guys, like, have something that you want to do while you guys are in the towns before we actually kick off the scenarios. Or, like, go into the adventures. Oh, yeah. Because I want to start making shit. Yeah, if you guys want... Because I like doing vignettes, like, little role-playing vignettes.

[02:10:21] Like, what we did at the end here and then, like, at the beginning with your character with your son. Mm-hmm. But if you guys want to do, like, cool, like, oh, I just, I want to go talk to some people in town. Like, I want to go talk to the guy. Yeah. And let me know if you guys, like, forget who's in town. Because I do have, like, a full list of characters and stuff like that. Mm-hmm. Yep. Like, your sister-in-law owns the library. Yeah. There's an ur-church. Like, there's a church, like, a covenist church that houses, like, all sorts of, like, healing faiths and stuff. Um... Which I might look into. There's...

[02:10:51] See if they can bless some of my bullets. Yeah. With healing energy. Your kids, your kid, um, is part of that, like, gang of kids that, uh, that hang out with the weird girl with the crow and stuff. Oh, yeah, that's right, yeah. Um... Yeah, right now, so far, I feel like we, like, I've been mainly throwing it, and then we tossed in, I just tossed in, uh, the gunslinger, uh, halfling. Yep. Um... And the new disciples of Balthazar. Yeah. And I'm getting a second, uh, another disciple, because I'm teaching my son a little bit. And then you're also teaching... And then, um, the half, um, halfling guy, and now...

[02:11:20] And then we find out that his son really just wants to be a wizard when he grows up. No, he'll be a magical gunslayer. Yeah, an arcane, an arcane duelist. Yep, there you go. Mm-hmm. Actually, he's like an arcane archer, but he's guns. He does, yeah. There you go. Uh, yeah. Um... And then what's the, uh, slayer's name again? Erica Grumbler. Er... Grubowitz? Carter. Erica Carter. Yeah, okay. Um, and yeah, she's gonna actually be training with you. Exactly, yeah. With you. Um, yeah, so she's about 17, 18.

[02:11:51] I think Jenna's about 17, 18. Dimitri's about 16 or 17. Mm-hmm. So I can't help you. Darrow's... Whatever age-wise. Doesn't matter. Yeah, Darrow... Technically, Darrow is supposed to be... Like, it's weird. The actual pulp culture creature, the pulp writings that, uh, that, like, were based... That the Darrow are based off of in the Pathfinder game? Mm-hmm. They're supposed to be, like, evil, sinister, uh, cyber androids from, from underground. Androids? Yeah, they're from, like, an ancient race that created androids, and then they rebelled

[02:12:20] over them, and now they're just, like, sadomasochistic, like, assholes that live in the center of the world. Hmm. And they come up and basically kill people. The guy who wrote it was, um, hearing voices when he was at a... When he, uh, when he was working at a smelting plant, and wrote the stories based off the voices he heard in his head about the Darrow. Oh, that's cool. Yeah. Uh, that's actually, that's actually real legit, like, or not real legit, that's actually legit what actually happened in real world, in real life. Hmm.

[02:12:46] You know, he eventually became, um, a rock book salesman in Idaho. So, so the rock, uh, because he came up with certain rocks, um, like, certain stones and whatnot, um, were actually books for the Darrow. Oh, okay. For this ancient culture. Um, so he basically kind of felt, it's kind of like Scientology, where, like, Hubbard, kind of, his fiction became, became something. Mm-hmm. What are these books, anyway? Um, they are actually, like, basically magical tomes that, uh, that the Darrow can use.

[02:13:16] Okay. You know what they sounded like, uh, when you were describing them? Um, uh, the, uh, the Sith triangle things? Yeah. They're, they're very similar. Uh, in a way they're like that as well. I, I honestly, I was just describing what, um, the, right, the author of the, of the Darrow culture stuff, um, described the books as. Yeah. Which basically, they, like, psionically give you information from within them. Yep. Um, and they're basically just, like, uh, arcane or, like, geological hard drives. Mm-hmm.

[02:13:46] Uh, it's actually not too far off from Dragonstones in Chadwick. Um, because in Shadow, uh, Dragonstones in Shadowrun are basically just, like, um, they're memories taken from a dragon. They can be, like, uh, spells, they can be, like, important information, uh, basically the whole life, like, like a biography of the dragon or whatever. And they're just inside, magically encased in these, like, stone statues of dragons. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. But, yeah.

[02:14:14] Um, yeah, I do like how, like, the, the, the, the NPC, like, your little, like, the little followers you guys are amassing. Yep. Um, I like how they're, like, uh, I, I, I personally like how I was, um, portraying them in this live. I think, like, that got really, that was really good. I think. They all have their own different character. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Um. So I'm gonna have to start cycling them out soon. Yeah. Towers getting full. Yeah. Well, I don't know, you should actually, like. You might have to start, you know, think about getting some, uh, additions put onto the into the bunker. How big is your property?

[02:14:44] You can just. Property's pretty big. Yeah, we can just make a shack or something. Yeah. Put Daryl into the, into a doghouse. Literal doghouse, yeah. That'd be fine. Um. But on the inside, it's, like, massive. It's like a mansion. Oh, you dig him a bunker. Um. Weird. Yeah, okay. Maybe. Like, like a bomb shelter. Yeah. Yeah? A little lock on the outside. It would be terribly deep, but yeah. Why not? Uh, there's not that, uh, there's not that many, uh, basic things.

[02:15:13] I thought you said it was spherical. It is, but there's also, um, uh, there's a, a lot of, it's basically like bedrock or some kind of, like, stone, um, a lair. Okay. At a certain point. Wizard. Okay. I may not use the spell, but technically wizards can learn stone shape. Okay. Sure. Um, we'll see how that goes. Um. But no, everything went pretty well. Yeah, I gotta work on, um. Not spoiling things.

[02:15:43] Not spoiling things. We could know woman slayer and that's it. Yeah. You know, so there are ways around it, but yeah. Yeah. Alright, um, then if there's nothing else, I guess we, uh, it was a good set, even like

[02:16:12] this one and the last session was pretty good. Yeah. He's like, not terror. Yep. What little baby? We killed a vampire and a, uh, a vampire robot. Yep. I got to see the Midnightmare. That's cool. Yeah. Yeah. We got to actually visit the Shadow Realm. Yep. Yep. Yeah, this one was, I was always gonna, like, this one, like, I wanted to make the robot, like, basically, like, the vampire plot will return at some point. Um, because they do have access to shadow power, or the shadow plane. Yeah, well there's an entire family of vampires. Oh, that's okay.

[02:16:39] No, I mean, I mean, no, Terra does, like, the, the guys who are, who drop the bomb on the, on the town, and, like, they're using shadow tech. Yeah. So, they have access to the Shadow Realm. Mm-hmm. Speaking of which, we just leveled up, so, uh. Should we just do that now? Yeah, might as well. Yeah. What time is it? Uh, it's only 11.50. Okay. So then, yeah. Oh, sure. Or 12. So, wait. Actually, I have a question then. Alright, well, should I turn off the recorder now? If you want, yeah. Okay. So, this has been, um, actually, I have, before we completely cut off, uh, I actually do have

[02:17:09] this, I've actually been writing up synopsis for each session. Uh, this was, um, session, session eight, Blood Orchard, part two. Mm-hmm. Uh, and we will see you guys all next time.
