[00:00:00] Need?

[00:00:09] Hello my children above and below. Welcome to Arcane Dark Radio. I am your shepherd on the moonlit airwaves, Reverend Cortisto, here to bring you the words and warnings of things that go bump in the night. And tonight we have the following. There seems to be some strange goings-on out there.

[00:00:35] Some thick-as-fog mysteries over Moorhead, Kentucky. Better lock your doors, check your wards, and stay behind those thresholds. For now, sleep well. Hi, welcome to the Roleplaying Exchange.

[00:01:02] This is Crazon, and we are continuing our Dresden Fate Accelerated campaign. More head mysteries. And, yeah, before we get too settled in, let's get a cast call. So, starting at the top. I think that's me? Adam, I think that's you. It's me. Okay, great. It really depends on what order we decide to go in this time.

[00:01:29] What server we're on, because nicknames and stuff like that. Hey, this is Adam, and I am going to be reprising the role of Blackbird. Hold on. Cale. Cale. It's been a while. It's been a mega month. He forgot his own name. And he gives us shit about saying it wrong. Hey, I said it right, but I remembered it. So, I am a knight of the holler, which is the unofficial title right now.

[00:01:59] Yes, it is now. Geez, I'll just break that in now. Or, like, from last episode. Holler night, or what was it? Oh, yeah, you're, oh, yeah, you're wrong. Oh, I like holler night. Holler night's pretty good. Night of the holler's what we had before. Yeah. Holler night. Sorry, continue. I have nothing else really to add, except that some asshole destroyed my car. Or truck. That's not going to be anything to say about a little girl. She was the accelerant, sir.

[00:02:29] But, no, it's been a really fun game so far. I did lose my truck. It was one payment away from retirement. Tragic, really. And, yeah, I look forward to getting my Bigfoot buddy back. All right. And next up? This is Jeremy. I'll be playing Lester Gibson, the focus practitioner that specializes in wave motion. He, last session, he didn't blow up a truck, which he was pretty excited about.

[00:02:58] He didn't, uh, or didn't do anything untowards that he knows of. Except for... You did a battle of the bands. I did a battle of the bands. That was fun. Yeah. That was fun. He put on the best concert that no one's ever going to remember. Yep. And, yeah, that's about it. Let's see what happens. We got a lot of ground to cover. All right. Josh playing Elizabeth Skarsgård. Skarsgård, I may or may not have blown up a truck. To be fair, it wasn't all your fault.

[00:03:27] Listen, you try to throw a kid into a pool of water, you blow up a truck. These things happen. Confucius said it best, didn't he, sir? Okay. Exactly. It's just science. Equal and opposite reaction, right? Just like Confucius said. Yeah. I think you've got that confused with some Newtonian stuff. Somewhere in there. You know, that, uh, you know, the guy who did the fig stuff. Isaac Figbar or something. Yeah. That took a second. Never had a fig.

[00:03:57] They are amazing. Just don't look at how they're made. How they've, uh... I know how they're made. Yeah. It's kind of terrifying. Unless you know. David! Your character. Can we be off the rails if you never got on the rails? Yeah. Cheers. Well, hey, I'm supposed to be a little bit off the rails. I'm a cat who walks like a man. Uh, this is David. And, uh, I am playing everybody's favorite baron.

[00:04:28] Uh, Urik von Karkov. This is my city. Technically, this is your sector of, uh, of Appalachia. Yes. Uh, all right. So, um, those previous events, um, uh, happened probably October 1st or 2nd, uh, 2023. Um, so we're going to fast forward just a little bit. Uh, so it's, so October, it's October 7th, 2023.

[00:04:53] Um, but in that week that has, has transpired, um, some of the, the shenanigans that have happened in Moorhead, Kentucky have kind of died down in the public eye a little bit. Um, but, uh, we've got some scenes that I would like to have covered, uh, in that interim time. Um, also I should point out, uh, due tonight, um, uh, Liam McNeil, uh, our resident Canadian

[00:05:17] freelance wizard of the White Council, uh, has, has been, uh, strangely busy over the last couple of days, uh, uh, working up in Canada, uh, with various, uh, assignments. So he will not be attending tonight. You went out for a ripper, bud? Oh, fuck, bud. I'm on call. You went out there for a rip? Yep. My rip's done. Gotta get back to work now, eh?

[00:05:40] Um, but, uh, yeah, so, uh, let's start with the, um, uh, let's start with, with, uh, Adam and, and Josh's, uh, uh, with, uh, with, uh, Calum and Elizabeth's, uh, conference, like, kind of, like, their, their, uh, their, their sort of situation here, uh, you know, involving some financial or, like, um. Um, what are you talking about? Nothing happened. I didn't do anything. Okay.

[00:06:07] I think we need to decide where this scene is being set. Okay. So, Josh, are you good with anything? Yeah, I'm good with anything at the moment. I'll regret that in a minute, but for now, I'm good. Yeah, we're in a Walmart. I'm laying down. I'm laying down. Oh, God. And all that stuff. So, yeah. Is there a Walmart in Moorhead? I couldn't. Chris, I never took you to that part of town. It doesn't mean it's just not there. Is there probably a Walmart in your backyard you don't know about? Yeah. I mean, I know the Dollar General spring up like goddamn weeds, but.

[00:06:37] Yeah, it's, uh, the, it's a little bit, uh, to the. Oh, yeah. The Walmart Supercenter. You guys have a Supercenter, even. Jeez. Yeah. Look at that. Fancy. Malcolm McDowell even made fun of it. So, I have just recently got the insurance check from the, uh, insurance company. They'll be usually the ones that cut the insurance checks. And I have went out and paid, uh, paid for a new vehicle.

[00:07:06] And I'm now going to have to make payments further on the vehicle. Because now we're starting all over again. For reasons that, uh, shall be remain, remain, uh, unmentioned at the moment. Yeah. Is that, does it, does it, does it melt down? Does, like, um, uh, a, a small micro sun blowing up your, or, like, melting down your car count as an act of God? Yeah, fire insurance. It's covered. I'm sure in Appalachia, we got to worry about forest fires. I got that shit covered.

[00:07:36] So, I mean, I'm not going to do, in true One Last Die fashion, I don't think I'm going to spend 30 minutes debating with Josh about what kind of vehicle I should have. Oh, come on. I hear that her cells are really good. But no, I, I'll just say he ended up buying another crew cab pickup truck. I'm sure it's important for everybody. And now we're shopping for formats. Because I had to buy you. Because I can't afford new ones. You're coming with me. And you're paying for it.

[00:08:07] And I push, we're pushing, we're going through Walmart. And I grab the formats and look at him. And then I just put them in there. And then we end up going by the air freshers. And I grab, like, a pack of the black ice little trees. You know, little black trees. I pitch them in there and I look at him. And that's how it's going to start. And you go in the sports department and you see all the, or the toy department or the seasonal department and find the pools. Grab the liner. I got an idea for this. Okay. Yeah.

[00:08:36] I went out and purchased a trailer. Oh, John. Oh, my God. Yes. Even further from the battery. Yeah. It might not need to be a pool then. Yeah. You might. I'm far enough away. I should be fine. I mean, it looks horrible. It looks horrible. It's a five-day trailer. I bought a tractor supply for $800. And it's just got plywood and boards. It's got, you got a little cabin.

[00:09:05] You pointed at the trailer. You pointed at him and you're saying, you're paying for this. No, no, no. I'm off. I pay for the accessories for the truck. I'm not paying for that. That's all for you. A trailer is an accessory. Yeah, it is an accessory, sir. I didn't blow up a trailer. I don't need to pay for it. If you didn't blow up the truck, we wouldn't need the trailer. I didn't blow up the truck to begin with. Thank you, Lester. You're in this seat with me, too. Yeah, Lester just happens to be at the Walmart. It's just like, oh, hey, guys. We got the one Walmart.

[00:09:35] What do you think? None of you were there. None of you saw it. You can't prove it with me. It's quite metagaming. I went. You know, I got you guys. Lester's pixie friend has eyes all over Moorhead with all other fairies and pixies. So one of them saw that. Yeah, saw the little girl blow up a truck. Yeah. After you slam dunked her into it. It's not even that, guys.

[00:10:05] Like, the campus has cameras. Yeah, well, I would have shorted them out. Yeah. Not all of them, but anyway. It was from a distance. It just looked like you threw a flaming sleeping bag in the back of a truck. Yeah, it looks like a firebomb. Oh, my God. Yeah. You're actually probably wouldn't be replaced. No, there's been some like, there's definitely been some like hush money put down to the local authorities.

[00:10:35] No, just Dwayne saw it and went, nope, not dealing with this. Yeah. Not yet. Not again. He just like slinks away into the dark. He's talking with Chicago right now. Yeah. They've got a police department for this, right? Okay. Lizzie, how many times do I got to slam things in this cart before we talk about this? Is he... Oh, sorry. I just, I couldn't hear you. I was putting in washer fluid.

[00:11:02] I'm buying stuff that I won't need right now just because you're paying. It ain't coming out of my account. I don't know why you're paying. But, uh, look, I, it's just inconvenient, man. It was one payment away from retirement. And by retirement, I mean, I was not going to have to pay Park Federal. I like how you're blaming me for trying to save a little girl. I'm sorry. That's why I'm not mad. I'm not mad at you. I'm just disappointed. Yeah.

[00:11:31] I'm just disappointed that you didn't know where gas tanks were on vehicles. Like, I mean, it could have been, you know. I'm sorry. I remember when gasoline cars came out. I remember using horse-drawn carriages for everything. Now, listen here, fucking Sonny. You and your modern-day tech can eat my ass. Look. Probably not the strangest confrontation in that Walmart. No, no.

[00:12:00] I mean, in fact, when I was shopping for an engagement ring, not at Walmart, but I was shopping for an engagement ring and I walked into that, into the Moorhead Walmart with a friend. Like, I don't know why my buddy was tagging along with me to help me buy an engagement ring. I get this. But, uh, we walked by the, uh, jewelry department to get something else. And then I see this, like, read that couple just sitting there looking at it like engagement rings. And I kind of glanced over at it and all.

[00:12:30] And by the time I walked out, they were screaming at each other, walking out the store. So I don't know how well that one went. But, uh, I like to think they're happily married. But, look, it's, it's, it's okay. It's just, it's a, it's a hard time for me and all that. And I just really, in a fucked up fashion, just wanted to thank you for trying to help that little girl.

[00:12:54] I mean, if you want to, if you want to draw, like, draw straws on this or split hairs or some other kind of analogy, I was the one that let her go. So, like, this is fine. This is a walk. We walk. You know what I mean? What are we going to do about the other little girl in our life? So. I can't speak of that one at all. I can't say a word. You can listen. Yeah, I know. But if you're asking a question, it's like, I can't speak.

[00:13:23] Uh, you know, you can't talk about her directly. I think, look. All I could say was, I can't talk about that. Okay, you can listen. And then I just, I started talking about the kid and how I think that, uh, we should, when we follow this thing through and we get everything right, we need to do right by the kid. It can't. I'm gritting my teeth. It can't help. It was born this way. I was like, kind of like how you can't blame it. I don't know. He was almost going to say. You can't. Yeah.

[00:13:51] You're born, born like a bitch. I mean, you just can't help it that you were born an asshole. It just kept getting bigger. Oh, this is a learned behavior, sir. Trust me. Uh, but we're good. What are we going to do with the little girl? By the way, where is she? I can't remember. Uh, which one is it mercy or the lantern girl? Uh, the lantern. Uh, she is in the lamp, uh, in the train lamp.

[00:14:19] Um, uh, I'm going to say that, uh, one of you guys. Did we get that back to Miss Worm? Oh, no. Miss Worm hadn't arrived. I hadn't come back yet. Um, she, when you guys got back to Miss Worm's bookshop. Right, right. We found a sign that says she was, uh, out, um, with the baron looking, um, trying to get some, uh, some provisions for you guys. Uh, Aaron put her in the lamp, didn't he? I believe so. Yeah. Okay. We had the lamp in a Walmart bag. You guys.

[00:14:49] It's with us. Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to say that, like, for, for some reason, Aaron did end up giving it back to you guys. Like, gave it to you guys before he left. We passed the book section at Walmart. It starts going brighter. Yeah. It starts. Yeah, exactly. It's like. Yeah, we had it and the, the whistle. Yeah. So, like, maybe, maybe it's just, like, the Lord works in mysterious ways. I guess is all I'm trying to say. Lester, you need anything in here while we're shopping? I ain't paying for it. Is it on Lizzie's dime? Nope. Nah, I'm good.

[00:15:20] All right. Uh, we'll end that scene. Yeah, that's fine. It's a nice warm up. It's stretching. Go to the cash. I'm, it's all in cash. Just counting on 20s. It's in gold bars. They're all stamped with the fucking Imperial Eagle of Nazi Germany. Oh, Jesus. Why did you send him a balloon? Hold on. I stole them back. Hold on. Finding, finding the chat. Taking that comment out.

[00:15:50] Josh did, did, did rectify that. Like, he stole them from. Yeah, it stole them back. Oh, okay. Germany stole the wealth of the countries it owned. Oh, okay. I got you. Yeah. I'm trying to play. It is stolen from me. All right. That's your note. Help me. Edit me out. Don't fuck the Nazis. Got it. Yeah. So we, we cut away to, from that scene in the Walmart super center of Moorhead.

[00:16:21] Um, at some point during this week, uh, this, this, this time, uh, as well, um, the Baron, you were, um, uh, you were contacted by Miss Worm and that's why you had to bounce away from the, the, the stalemate, uh, at the, uh, the freight station downtown. Um, and, uh, Miss Worm had an idea. She has a couple of contacts that she's been able to, she was able to, uh, uh, tap into to possibly get you guys some of the bane of outsiders.

[00:16:52] I.e., uh, some vials of starborn blood. Oh, that was, uh, what I went to the white council for, isn't it? Well, yeah. So here's the thing. Yeah. One of her, one of her, um, uh, so she had two contacts of like, of, of like two avenues for this con for like for this that, uh, and, and she felt you would be the best, uh, like, she would to help her like with this.

[00:17:13] Because she was pretty confident she could get one vial at least, but if you guys wanted more, you, we should probably need it like a major, like a signatory of from the, from the accords for either avenue. To Chicago. One avenue is actually, uh, through winter. The other avenue is, uh, out in Scotland, um, where the white council is. So you can either go talk to Mab or you can talk to the Merlin. I'm going to go talk to the Merlin.

[00:17:43] We can't, we can't, we can't, we can't. Damn it. Sorry. Uh, what was that, David? I said, I'm going to go talk to the Merlin. Okay. Yeah. All right. Um, so yeah, uh, over the next, over the couple of, over a few days, uh, you guys like get out to, uh, to Scotland. Um, and through, um, through Miss Worm's, uh, uh, contacts, you were able to, uh, you guys were able to procure one vial. Um, but, uh, as you're in like sort of a meeting.

[00:18:13] With the Merlin up in the, uh, in the, uh, uh, like in their, uh, in the, uh, White Council's headquarters. Um, she's, she's hopeful that you might be able to help persuade for like maybe acquiring a few more at least. Um, as it might be handy to have that kind of, uh, uh, uh, more than, more than one vial. Oh, absolutely. So, uh, and let me just pull up the PDF where it actually has the Merlin stats.

[00:18:40] Um, just so I can have some, something to roll against if you, if such a thing occurs. Um. In this, in this depiction of the Merlin, I'm imagining him as looking like John Lithgow. Uh, honestly, at this time period, it might be fucking Dresden. Uh, I am going to leave it kind of ambiguous as to who it is because we are playing a little bit into the, into the future of the Dresden games. We're 10 years past the book. Yeah. We're 10 years past the latest book that hasn't, and like, yeah. Um.

[00:19:10] To be fair, I think that it's still, um, arty until we hear otherwise, I think. I think you're right. Yeah. Yeah. Is that what they have in the book, though? I'm curious. Uh, they probably, it might be a different person. I think it's, uh, Arthur Langtree. Although I, I'd have the name wrong. Sure would be nice. No, you're right. It says Arthur Langtree on it. Is it? Okay, cool. Yeah. There's stats for him on page 32. Uh, yeah. So, yeah.

[00:19:38] Arthur, or, uh, the Merlin is, is, is, is sitting there at his desk. Um, uh, he's, you're surrounded by like, um, uh, it's just like a, a, a chamber of, of, uh, of various magical accoutrements and wards and such. Um, there are several gray cloaks, uh, around, like both outside the door and like, there's a couple inside the room because you're two non-human magical beings that have just showed up at the White Council.

[00:20:07] Um, they can never be too careful. Um, and he's just kind of like, it's like, so, so let me get this straight, Mrs. Worm. Um, we, we've, through your, through your contacts, you've, we've been able to, we, we have come to an arrangement to supply you with one vial. Um, and this is going towards combating some, some outsider, uh, some outsider insurgents

[00:20:34] that is, uh, is occurring in, in, uh, in Kentucky or West Virginia. And you wish for more. You, you understand that is a fairly rare commodity that we have. Uh, yes, I do. Um, but, uh, I do feel like the situation is, uh, dire in this, in these circumstances, Merlin. Uh, and, uh, to help me. You gave us a shit. We need another.

[00:21:01] Well, and, and to help me, uh, kind of back me up on this situation. Uh, I've brought the, uh, the, uh, the signatory, uh, Baron of the region that I currently, or that we are currently, uh, like involved in here. Yes. And you are the man in charge. I am. Yes. Of the wizards. Yes. All of the wizards.

[00:21:26] I am the Merlin, uh, any, any wizard who is affiliated with the White Council, uh, and even. Then you are the one that I wish to lodge a formal complaint with. He raises an eyebrow. I wish to speak to your manager. Yeah. He raises an eyebrow. It's like, uh, oh really? Uh, about whom? I'm, I'm just going to point at the closest to Greycloak. Yeah. It's like, you sent one of these to my domain. Yes.

[00:21:56] We sent it to them. To aid in our endeavors. Well, we sent a Greycloak out that way to monitor the various, uh, goings on because that area is getting a little busy as it were. Yes. And that means putting out fires, not causing them. Correct? That is supposed to be what your job is. Metaphorically speaking, of course. Of course. Yes.

[00:22:20] Then would you care to explain to me why your warden decided to question the personhood of one of my constituents and use that as an excuse to refuse to render any aid? I see. We had someone who was kidnapped in front of the warden and she refused to raise a hand simply because the person who was kidnapped was non-human.

[00:22:50] But then the very moment that a human child is taken, your wizard goes with this human child on a pyromantic rampage through my cities. I see. Cannot tolerate this kind of racist behavior. And I would like to know how you are going to compensate us for it. Now, Ms. Worm, another of my citizens, is asking for some additional blood. This seems like a reasonable request.

[00:23:21] If you will supply her with the blood, I will withdraw my complaint. Otherwise, I will raise my complaints at the next meeting of the accord holders. And you understand what that means, wizard. I do. So I would like you to make a role. Tell me what role it would be against his...

[00:23:47] Because as it turns out, the Merlin is skilled at supernatural politics. So let's see if you can diplomatically muscle in on maybe making a wereguild of some extra vials of blood. I'm going to go with intellect. Okay, that sounds right for this.

[00:24:14] And I am going to burn a fate point on an aspect to add plus two to that. Okay. I feel like I don't give a damn about my bad reputation fits here. Because it takes a lot to bully the Merlin. Yeah. Stands to reason. And so that's going to be a total of six. Total of six. Okay. He kind of like... You guys have a stare-off for a minute.

[00:24:44] As he... And you and Ms. Worm can both see that he's like... Basically, on top of like... Looking at you two, he's kind of gauging you guys. And also like... Clearly doing some thinking, like some analyzing of the situation. And it's like... And then he kind of turns to look... Like kind of faces both of you. And it's just like... Would... Would you see it fit if we offered a wereguild?

[00:25:11] And the payment be three vials of... Three extra vials of starborn blood. I'm just going to look at Ms. Worm for a moment. I'm going to look back to him and say... I feel that that is more than acceptable, sir. Excellent. And I thank you for your consideration in this. Might I also suggest a meeting with your... Sapient resources person. Possibly some sort of sensitivity trading for the warden in question. Her name is Elizabeth Skarsgård. Sapientars God.

[00:25:43] He kind of looks through... He checks through like a... Not a rotary thing. Like a Rolodex? Yeah, kind of like a Rolodex. Or like a Ledger. It's like... I don't seem to have... And then one of the Grey Cloaks kind of pipes in... That's in the room. You're guessing... Elliot Skarsgård, sir. Yeah, he's like... Elliot, sir. It's like... Elliot Skarsgård? Oh. Remember? Ah, yes. Cincinnati. Right. Dread Ohio.

[00:26:14] Right. Well, I... I deeply apologize for the actions and the... Reactions of my... Of one of our... Of one of our own. We will be talking to them at some point in the very near future. Regarding sensitivity in these progressing times. Thank you, sir. And I do understand that you have other business. I will not take up any more of your time. I understand that it is quite valuable.

[00:26:43] That is most appreciative. Thank you. And I hope you have found your stay here as welcome as can be. Good day. Smile. Yeah. The wide... Like something... Like a panther smile. All teeth. Yeah. Even if I don't bear my teeth, it's a scary smile. It's the way too much eye contact smile. Yeah. Miss Worm probably flashes her draconic eye suddenly, like over, like underneath the glamour.

[00:27:15] But then like also kind of like nods like, thank you. Thank you, Merlin. And yeah, you guys leave the White Council or the Merlin's office within the White Council. And you probably hear like muffled like behind you. It's like... Just like... Get me a way to contact Elizabeth... Or Miss Skarsgård. Yeah.

[00:27:45] David. What the fuck, man? I do. I throw a brother under the bus. You had an option to help me save a Bigfoot, but you said no. Yeah, because it's not my fucking job. I deal with mortals. Consequences. Consequences. Josh, how are you taking care of all those chickens that have came home to roost right now, sir? What the fuck? You got enough feed?

[00:28:16] Evidently, yeah. I'm about to fucking find out. I'm sure some corn. Throw some feed in the Walmart bag. So this took place during that week. So we're going to forward again, scene wipe as you guys are leaving the offices and stuff like that. Kind of back to Kentucky. Back to Kentucky.

[00:28:39] Can I ask a question that could possibly spur a direction at some point during this game? Sure. You know, Adam the player has a soft spot for, you know, children. I've kind of dedicated my adult life to taking care of children, you know? Yeah. But I'm interested in the girl in the lamp. She has had contact with the enemy, undoubtedly.

[00:29:07] The father. I was wondering, I may be asking about probably picking Lester's brain and probably a little bit out of Lester's ballpark. But I would like to get back in the lamp to talk with her. And, you know, I don't really believe in using a child as a weapon or anything of that sort. So I'm not really looking at unleashing the fire beast on somebody else.

[00:29:33] But, yeah, I'd like to learn more about the adversary by meeting with the child. Of course, my talking skills suck. Yeah, so this would go well. Yeah. I mean, if we actually had a scene over that week, my guy's idea was trying to get her out and get her to move on, not just to let her rot inside of a little lamp. You can try that.

[00:30:01] But do you do that before or after, like, Miss Worm gets back? Oh, this is going to be after. Okay. I'd recommend after. If you do do it after. Yeah, you said do-do. Yeah. Give me one of your pay points. No. They're mine. I worked hard for those. Taking away your birthday. Yeah. But no. Yeah.

[00:30:26] Once the Baron and Miss Worm gets back, you guys do have, like, a small meeting before, like, you guys have the big meeting. About, like, what to do and stuff. And she finds that, like, you guys have both the whistle now and the lantern. And she's like, oh. Well, that's good. That's terrible what happened. But that's good. We have, I mean, you guys know what...

[00:30:54] Did I tell you what the lantern's for? What the artifact, like, what it does? Or what she does? It's been a week, if we're fresh on memory. She's... Well, so the lantern and the spirit within, the Totenkind, the reason we didn't want to have the enemy get it is because it can be used to light, to basically burn a hole through the veil.

[00:31:21] But in a subtler hand, it can also be used to summon the opossum 1807, the ghost train that will take you to Icar Falls. I don't like either one of those. Well, it's an option to get you guys into Icar Falls, perhaps not even, like... And perhaps under the nose of... of the lords of Icar Falls, if you want to try and...

[00:31:51] Heist, was that what you were doing? Or, like, take back your... or... your Sasquatch friend? There is also, I think... Lester, you said you had a knife that could cut into the Stitchman's domain, or his aspect of it. Yes, ma'am. You could also use that route to get there. Um... It'd be a little bit more of a...

[00:32:19] of a trek, but you could get through... you could get into Icar Falls proper through that route as well. Um... Those are... You... You have various, uh... artifacts or items of power that could be used to... to, uh... to get you guys in there and to infiltrate it. Um... If that is indeed what you're planning on doing. Uh... Uh... We... We have... By the way, we have... We've... We have some... A gift for you. Uh... Looks over to the Baron. Um... We... We... We...

[00:32:49] Have, uh... Returned from Scotland. Um... Looks over to, uh... To, uh... Skarsgård for a moment and smiles and then turns back to the rest of them. We have managed to procure blood. Yes. Um... We... Uh... I think some of you were asking, like... Or were doubting the issue... Doubting our capabilities of dealing with... With, uh... Outsiders. Uh... Well, the... We have procured... Some... Small measure to... Uh...

[00:33:19] To probably... To help alleviate that issue. And yeah... She... She presents the... The four vials of... Of what look like blood. Uh... They're in, like... Basically, like, a little, like... Almost like a phylactery kind of, like... Looking... Like containers. Um... Or, like, some kind of, like, a little... Like, uh... Like a little... Uh... What's the... Like a test tube... Or, like, test tube kind of, uh... Vial. Like, stoppered with, like, a cork. And there... But there's, like, a... Like a dark red, uh... Liquid inside of them. Uh... The...

[00:33:49] This will... Uh... Maybe at least level the playing field. A little bit. Uh... If you are able to... Imbue your... Various attacks or weapons with it. It still won't be... It still won't be... Uh... Pretty. Um... The... It will be a... It will be a hard fight if you plan on taking on... Taking the... Taking on the outsider... Corruption... Uh... Yourselves. But... Uh... I feel like this is probably the best bet we had. So...

[00:34:17] Well, ma'am, do you mind if we, uh... We have a little round table discussion... Uh... With, uh... All of us. You. And, uh... The curator. See what we can do about these artifacts. Because it seems like we got two giant bullets in this gun right now. And we have options to do stuff with them. What's... The curator? Like, the... The people that run that... Art... That magical artifact place in the... Uh... Like, down by the Folk Art Museum? Yes, ma'am. So I don't want to speak out of turn.

[00:34:47] I don't want to say anything that he didn't want me to tell. Uh... So, uh... I will. However, he'd prefer. Uh... No. What's... No. I'd rather him say it for himself. So you don't get any words mixed up. Uh... Okay. Uh... If they are involved, yeah. We can... Uh... I can... Set up, uh... My... Um... I can set up the, uh... The bell book and candle to accommodate us. And we'll just, like... Close the blinds and I'll ward the place so that, like, people won't go in. Or come in. I think that'd be nice.

[00:35:16] I suppose we'll also have to discuss what we're doing with, uh... Mercy as well after this. Yep. Yes, ma'am. Uh... Yeah. Uh... Very well. Um... Then, yeah, we'll... How about we keep Mercy under the table for the curator? I don't think he knows just yet. And if he doesn't, I don't want to keep it... I want to keep it that way. Don't give extra information if we can avoid it. Yeah. She will remain in the back room. Okay. My god. The back rooms. The back room.

[00:35:45] The back rooms is a whole other adventure. Yes. Um... Yeah, uh... Then we'll do this in... We'll convene in... Uh... Later tonight. Um... It's... I will say it's like... Morning. Um... Of like the 7th day. Like of October 7th. So... When this... Oh, when they... When, uh... By the time she finally gets back and such. So... Um... Yeah. So that'll be like... Yeah, that's where we'll start the actual, like... Game in terms of like the... The... Like setting in the...

[00:36:15] In the here and now. Um... Is this meeting. But, uh... Yeah. So, um... Is there anything else you guys want to do before the meeting? Specifically? So I guess there's no point in doing, uh... Trying to divine something about that from the... The lamp. I mean, we still can... Oh, no, you can still do that. Yeah, yeah. You can still do that. Yeah. You've got... You've got some... You've got some time. And, like, you could have done that, like, again... In the... In the interim. Sorry.

[00:36:44] No, you're fine. Okay. Am I getting chewed out by the Merlin? Um... You're sitting on it. I don't know what happened yet. Would you prefer to... You're... You're definitely getting... You get, like, a letter. Like... I'm getting a strongly worded letter, guys. A very strongly worded letter. Um... You want a fate point? It's like a howler. Sure. It's like one of the howling letters from Harry Potter. Literally just screen time. Okay. Uh... Take... Uh... You... Yeah, you... Uh... Yeah.

[00:37:14] So, uh... You get a fate point. Uh... You also now have an aspect put on you. Oh, of course I do. We got another one. Um... Uh... Dagger of Damocles. Oh, fucking hell. Um... It's not, like, straight up, like, we will fucking murder you. If you... If you, uh... If you pull out a turn. But it's basically, they're watching you now. And so, if you are involved in any kind of incident, uh... Like, uh... Like, regard...

[00:37:43] Relating to, uh... Um... Uh... To the, um... To this kind of stuff, like, that breaks out into the public. Uh... You will basically be on... You'll be, um... Kind of... I have been put on probation. Yeah. You're... You're... Yeah. You're basically... You're further on probation. I need your badge and your gun. Yeah. And your wired reflexes. And your head. What? We're not gonna kill you. We're just gonna think about it real hard. Yeah. There's a very...

[00:38:12] There's definitely a good chance that you might be getting demoted. If, uh... If things... I've already been demoted how many times? Like, I was sent fucking here. Yeah. You're a loose cannon, Skarsgård. Yeah. I always feel like the Merlin's watching me. Yeah. I sent a letter back. My job's to deal with mortals. No. Not injured. Not supernatural. Oh. The beautiful thing about that is that the Merlin can tell you what your job is now. Yeah. Yeah. It's like... Yeah.

[00:38:42] You actually get, like, a sudden... You, you, like, send that message out and immediately it comes back, like, an instant reply, almost, like magic. It's basically just like... Um... Your job has been... Your job is to deal with mortal practitioners. And as a result of being assigned to such a heavy... To a location of such heavy magical beings' inhabitation, you are also to be monitoring those situations.

[00:39:12] Is it? I monitored it. I understand. I monitored. I think... I'm just going to change that over to the Sword of Damocles. So, like, yeah. If you fuck up again, you're just getting your head lopped off. I'd like to see that try. Oh, yeah. You can go on the lam if you want. I have a feeling that's going to end that way. Yeah. They also say that, like, in, like, within the next couple of weeks, you are to come

[00:39:38] back for a sensitivity program, training program. Lovely. Yeah. So, yeah. You're on thin ice. Ha! He never knew when to quit. So, yeah. Adam, you say you have... We'll say you have the lantern. Um, so... Uh, so you... You got that, uh, like, you...

[00:40:07] You were informed about, like, the... That situation. Like, the lantern can be used for, uh... Summoning this ghost train. But, like, if you want to try and go a different route, like... I just want to... I just want to find out about the... The adversary. Yeah. That we're going against. So, I mean, I'm not trying to accomplish anything. I kind of like to see her, from what I've gathered. The certain bunch want to eat that thing. And that's going to be basically eating a little girl. Regardless of, uh...

[00:40:36] The state that she is in. So, I don't... Feel particularly good about that. So, that's kind of weighing on my conscience a bit. Yeah, I wasn't super thrilled about that either. They might... They might relent if they know that's a spirit that's in that... In that vessel. Rather than, like, the vessel itself being magically inclined. Mm-hmm. But that's... You'd have to ask them about that. They did seem like they were mostly, like... They were trying to basically, like... They were, um...

[00:41:04] Abating their hunger by feeding off of magical items. Not magical beings, necessarily. Did you want to have a scene between you and me? Or did you want to just move on? Adam? Go again, I'm sorry. So, did you want to have a scene between me and you figuring out... Trying to figure that out? Or did you just want to move on? I'd rather just see if we make a... If we can make a road or say if we figured it out. And then kind of take it from there. Really. Unless I... You know what I mean?

[00:41:31] Just so, like, we're trying to figure out if we can... I got into it one time. Can I get into it again? Can I get out of it again? Like, you know what I mean? Like, can we rig up some apparatus to speak to her? Like, what's up? I mean, I'm... That's kind of my bag. Is to make magical things. So... Let's make a phone. Or a video. Let's do a video call. I think that's a good idea. Like, that actually sets right up with my skill set.

[00:42:00] If using waveforms to make either video or... Or, like, a speaker, basically, to talk to her. So... So you're going to make an ectoplasmic spirit video call? Or Zoom? Yeah. You know, we actually have those already. We call them Ouija boards. Yeah. This one, we can actually see her. Like, it's two-way. Ah. Okay. So you're making a video Ouija. That's right.

[00:42:30] God. And I just feel like... To the... Like, to the... What's that one? What's that store again? That's the pack... Or the mall? Penters. No, no. The Peddler's Mall. Yeah. To the Peddler's Mall. As you guys just acquire, like, old 80s retro, like, analog media material. Like, to, like... For Lester to just, like, turn it... Tinker into a... Into a, like, analog horror. Like, spectrometer. Like...

[00:42:59] Or, like, ghost phone. Just E.T. it up. With sufficient time, do I even need to make a roll? No, I will say you can do it. Yeah. Okay. I'd say if we had a week, it'd be just, like, me tinkering around and... Give me a fate point. There we go. Like, let's actually, like, interact with the game a little bit. Yeah. I'll say I'll burn a fate point with Magical Cue Maker of things. That's literally my... Literally my fate thing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If you give me a fate point, you can have...

[00:43:28] wrestled up a... This... This phone. Or this video call. This video phone. That works. There's even, like, a Ouija board, like, for, like, for you guys to talk to her. Oh, I'd make it a two-way call. Like, I'd literally bend sound. Yeah, no, that's true, yeah. And literally bend light. Yeah, and literally bend light. There's a different thing for the camera, but the voice is coming from a Teddy Ruxpin doll. Of course, yeah. Well, I had to make it creepy.

[00:44:00] It is sufficiently analog horror. It's got, like, an old, like, computer monitor. Yeah. Say, do you want me to set this up at your house, or do you want me to set it up in Rod's place? Because that's where all my stuff's at. I'm sure Rod would be all right with it. I saved his life. Oh, yeah, I'm sure he'd be fine. Or I saved... The pixie's life. Pardon us, yeah. So, there we are.

[00:44:25] A couple blocks away from the Polkart Center. And it's located next to the vape shop now. So, yeah. I assume that you guys have, like, it connected through some kind of wires. You have, like, some diodes or whatever, like, touching the lantern. Yeah. Basically, it looks like it's sitting on top of a theremin. Yeah. Set a jumper cables hook to it. Yeah.

[00:44:52] I made it somewhat portable so we can take it places, but... All right. So, sitting in front of it, it's evening. There's a lamp going on in the background. There's a TV sitting behind me that's going to play a part of this in a moment. But, so, yeah. It started us off, Chris. How does it work? Yeah, yeah. You flick it on. It starts humming with that kind of the thrum of old technology.

[00:45:20] The screen kind of crackles a couple of times and then starts getting a grainy image of a little girl made of light and fire. Or, just kind of, like, sitting in this space, this kind of, like, dark space inside the... Presumably, it almost looks like she's inside, like, encased in some kind of, like, of a jar or something like that. But she's just kind of sitting there, just kind of humming to herself peacefully. I walk into the TV and I slap the top of it. I'm like, hold on, hold on.

[00:45:49] Slap the top of it because that always fixes the graininess on the TV and it comes unclear. Yeah, some tracking happens. I'm not sure if you can fancy your way out of this one. Does it move the antennas? If David wants to be there or Lizzie wants to be there, it's fine, too. Yeah, does Elizabeth want to be there, too? I don't know if I want to now with Aron giving me shit. She's not a bite-a-door sleepover. It's fine. Hey, this is your redemption arc. Yeah. Like hell it is.

[00:46:20] Or just watch the world burn. He never learned. If I wanted to watch the world burn, I wouldn't have stepped in to save the little girl. That's fair. Wanted to watch the truck burn. Anyway. Yeah, anyway. No one knew that. Now, so once we get her, the slapping has an odd effect. Like she actually is startled. Yeah, she actually gets startled by it and it's like, what? What? She looks around and then looks over to the screen.

[00:46:48] It's just like, it looks very perplexed. Again, she kind of looks like, again, like a being of elemental energy, like elemental fire and such. Like she, there's no flesh to her. It's just this, this elemental light and fire. Hi, honey. Yeah. Who? What? Or who? Who's that? Oh, I'm the guy that was, that, you know, actually. Who's fucking low up? No. Oh, you are not there. Are you there, Josh?

[00:47:16] I probably should be there, actually, if we're talking to a little girl. All right, fine. I think I'm the only one who's actually had direct interference. Interaction. There we go. With her. I'm the guy who accidentally let you out. You remember, we were in the library and you kind of did some noises and I tried to open up the doors and then you got loose. Do you remember me? She looks a little sheepish. She's like, right.

[00:47:45] Honey, it's fine. It's fine. We were all victims in that one there, baby. Don't worry about it. Now, I would like to, would you care to talk with me for a minute? Uh, sure. How are you doing this? I can't, I can kind of see you, but like. It's magic, baby. Can you see me? She's like looking over and it's like getting like a fishbowl, like perspective. But she's like, it's closer to the screen. Just poke my head in frame and go, oh, it's just me. Gah!

[00:48:14] Oh, it's, don't worry, honey. He looks up his empty Mountain Dew bottle and spits tobacco in it. It's magic, honey. There's a visual for you guys. One I wish I didn't have. So I was, do you care to talk like I said? I don't want to take too much of your time, but I figured you were probably awful lonely in here and I'd like to get to know you. Sure. Yeah. How did you get in here? My dad or my father.

[00:48:45] Hmm. There was, there was a fire at the schoolhouse. And a couple of us didn't, a couple of me and the students didn't make it. And my, my father got very angry, uh, at, at the, at the town and at the, at the, at the school, at the teacher and the, and the library. And he, he did something.

[00:49:09] I'm not a hundred percent sure what he did, but he, he brought me back and said, I had to live in this lantern and that I would light the way. And then I, and that books were bad and I had to burn them. Honey, books aren't bad. That's where all the good stories are. Well, yeah. Miss, miss, uh, Miss Black said that they were really, they were, they were nice, but then she died in the fire as well. So. Well, I mean.

[00:49:37] But the books didn't cause the fire. I'm so, what I would like to know, hun, like, uh, I mean, he's trying to dance around. Like, like, are you alive? Are you not alive or anything like that? Kind of getting the idea of it, not alive. You're getting the impression that she's probably the spirit of some, uh, of, of a dead child. Yeah. Um, would, could you tell me a little bit more about your father?

[00:50:02] Cause I don't know if he's done you any favors, but like, have you been pretty lonely in here all this time? Uh, kind of. I, I can kind of hum or talk or I, I can kind of feel the other, the other kids that were in the fire. Um, I can't talk, I can't, I can't feel Miss Black. She's, she's not here.

[00:50:31] Uh, but I can, I can occasionally hum back to the, to the other, the other children. Um, wouldn't, wouldn't you like to move? Wouldn't you like to move on? Like, wouldn't you like to go where, would you like to, you and the other children like to go on? Like, there's more than just being stuck in that little lamp. Well, um, I, I, I guess, yeah. Um, but dad, uh, father gave me a purpose.

[00:50:59] So he, he told me I, I had, I was, I was, I was meant for great things with this and I would like that, would like the way. Hmm. Uh, so you, you want to roll me an intellect? Oh. Or like, yeah. I'm a, oh, I'm sorry. I was trying to pay my electric bill on the, on the phone, on the internet here. And it, it didn't go through. I typed something in wrong. Now the power goes out. Sorry. Uh, yeah.

[00:51:26] Uh, let me find my dice and my character sheet. Damn you, Chris, for running a game that requires character sheets. Damn you, Chris. All right, so I'm going to use. Also, why don't you, you're in roll 20. It's in, it's in the. Just click the thing on the sheet. You have many tabs. I have a electric bill. I love that. I have many tabs. Too many tabs. Too many tabs. All right. That was a, that was something. I wrote a zero.

[00:51:57] Yeah. It's not a negative. Yeah, but that's not a positive. Not a lot. Uh, so you, you get the impression, like, again, she's. Uh, you're, you're, it's, you're not, you're, it's. She was obviously, like, uh, she's trying to, like, do right by her dad. All right. Probably, probably her dad was probably, has probably manipulated her a little bit. Uh, or guilted her into doing something. Like, you're, you're getting, but, like, that's about all you can get. Well, honey, how about this?

[00:52:26] I'm going to try this out. Why don't we talk for a moment? But I, I want to show you some of the wonders of the modern world. Okay. So I'm going to go, I'm going to go talk to my buddies for a minute, but I'm going to leave you here for the next 10 minutes watching this. And he reaches back and hits six, a VHS tape into the VCR that's underneath the OTV behind him and starts playing reading rainbow with LeVar Burton. It's a book. Take a look. It's in a book.

[00:52:54] Reading rainbow. Reading rainbow. She just starts screaming. I can't do anything. Yeah. No, she, she's just looking on like, kind of like a little enraptured as she like, and kind. And she's like, she's squinting. Cause it's like, she can just kind of see it. Maybe. Oh, let's get the TV closer as we go talk. All right. So I'm going to meet with everybody else. Like, look, I'm trying to get her to work. Tell us about all this. Uh, I'm not, I don't think I'm, I know enough of magic.

[00:53:24] One of y'all may want to take point. Uh, it seems like you don't, may not know much about magic, but you also do know really a lot about being a good human being. So, I mean, I think you're on the right track. I'll sit beside you. Uh, Baron, uh, Lizzie. Yes. What do y'all think? Like, we need to get her to talk about her dad. We need to show her that her dad may be mistaken. Yeah. I don't think that's going to work. I don't know.

[00:53:52] I've, I've seen a lot of things that we didn't think was going to work recently that we pulled off. So I think this might be in our wheelhouse. It's not even the fact that we can't rehab. Uh, educate her, whatever term you want to use. If she's dead, she's a spirit. Oh, but we need her. Which means this is just an imprint. Yeah. I don't think we can change that. There's, it's a, it's a photo, not a video. Nothing changes about it.

[00:54:20] So I've, I've heard, uh, I've heard people say that before. And I've also heard through the grapevine that, you know, echoes and stuff like that have changed their mind before. So. Yes. And I believe that, what do the humans call it? Zoom and enhance. We can possibly find information that is not really readily apparent. Oh, that I completely agree. Even in a photograph. But I don't think there's a rehabilitation for this little girl.

[00:54:48] I think the best we can do is, I don't have the word, but end the spirit. And I don't mean that as kill. I have to specify now, apparently, among you people. Based on my manual, based on the manual that I've received. Nope. Not even on that. Just on you people. Oh yeah. I feel like if she seems like, she seemingly got a will of her own, considering she's struggling with what she wants to tell us and what she doesn't want to tell us.

[00:55:14] So I feel like if it was sufficient working, we could probably convince her to move on. Cause I don't want to see this little girl imprint or not spirit or not. But, oh yeah, it'd be horrifying. I don't want to see her sitting inside of a lamp for the rest of eternity. If there's another option of her moving on. I'm just curious to see how she actually processes time. Theoretical. Nope. Whatever. Okay. So I guess we can regroup then. Okay. All right.

[00:55:43] So honey, what do you think of the video? It was, it was nice. Do you see what books are good? Kind of. She kind of seems a little nervous. All right. So why don't we were talking about this one? I want to read this one. Twilight. What? Oh God. No. That shouldn't be all. Throw that one out. Why? Why was LeVar Burton doing putting that one up? Hosting that on reading rainbow. Let's be fair.

[00:56:12] He would probably host the Percy Jackson books. We can probably find those. That's the shit. Oh, yeah. So honey, what, what, what, what's your dad's plan? Sorry, David. We can record it. Over. This is true. Yeah. Mamaw still has a VHS player. She takes her show, her, her stories. She's got a DVD VHS player. Sorry. Continue. She's been watching Boat of the Beautiful for 40 years, guys.

[00:56:42] So, honey, what's your dad's big plan anyway? Well, I know he was talking with his friends and they, or his friends, and they were, they were going to bring the town back. But they had to do some things over here to do it. But they, they, he, dad specifically, I, um, he, he's like, she, again, she's like looking

[00:57:11] a little nervous about it. Like, it's like, I'm not supposed to tell this. She's just looking around kind of nervously. So would you like to try and persuade her to maybe like, kind of like, uh, like, like encourage her to like, maybe like that she's in a safe space or something? Yeah. Uh, God, is that, yeah, you're better at Kyle than I am. I've got a one. I've got it. I'll say, it's okay, youngin'.

[00:57:40] It's, uh, you can trust us. It's fine. Like, we're, we're, with this, this, this is a safe spot. You can talk. You can tell us anything. You know, we've already, you know, you've met my friend Caleb here. You guys spent a lot of time together. Uh, you've, you've met our friend Lizzie here. She tried to help you out. I played you that real nice song. It helped calm you down. Like, you can trust us. It's all good. You know, just tell us exactly, you know, tell us as much as you want. We won't push you any farther. That's a five. Five? All right.

[00:58:10] Okay. You have, you have to promise not to, not to tell anybody. Don't, don't tell my dad that I said anything. Oh, mom's the word. Uh, I don't get paid to ask questions. Okay. Um, well, dad, her father had a, he had a, uh, his, his part of the plan or that his, him and his friends were doing were, uh, they were, they were going to burn all the books, like

[00:58:39] go to every, every, everywhere where there were books. He was going to, he was going to set them on fire. Uh, and, and then he was, they were going to use me. They were, they were going to find me again and have me bring, uh, have me, uh, uh, bring the train in, but from the other side. And that would open the, open the way for, for the, for, for, for the, for the town to come back.

[00:59:09] They said the town had to come back. Um, and his, his friends were, were going to try and make things on this side scarier to do that as well. Youngin, that doesn't sound good at all, does it? That doesn't sound like fun. Is that something you actually want to do? Well, he said that the, the, uh, it was for the hope of all of, uh, all of, of the town,

[00:59:37] um, that, that we, that we open the way and that the town comes back. Um, otherwise the, the bad thing would, would, would get us all. Oh, so, but if the, oh, go ahead. Sorry. I was saying, but it's, it's a town gone. Like I'm, I'm, I'm trying to figure out, like I did everything. Is everything burned down? How can you bring something back? It's burnt down. They, they moved the town, uh, or some, someone moved to the town from, from this side to

[01:00:05] the other side, uh, to, to the other side. That's, that's what they told, that's what they, they said. It was like, we need to go to the town to talk to him and see what, what's going on. Maybe there's a different way. You, you, you could, I guess you, you could talk to, to dad. Uh, he's, he's not very friendly toward people from out of town. Uh, he, she starts like, kind of like, like rubbing her arm, like, like with the other, like with the other arm, can I just like have, like nervously.

[01:00:33] Uh, I mean, I, my, my, my family's from West Virginia. It's okay. I'm practically family. It's all relative. I, I don't know what my, he, he like, she, she kind of like looks for a second and scrunches her face. Although it's kind of hard to tell what the details cause of her, uh, again, living fire. Um, but, uh, you, you kind of get the feeling that she's like, kind of like, kind of like frustrated.

[01:00:57] It's like, I, I don't know what my, you might be related, but I, I don't know. We, I don't know my name anymore. I just know that dad's name is, is I've just called him father or dad and that I'm the totem kind. And well, just like the other children and me are, are the totem kinder. Maybe I can go over there and find your name. Uh, maybe. Do you want to know your name? Yeah.

[01:01:27] And, and I'll honestly, yeah, yeah. Sorry. I don't know shit about magic. Don't know shit about, and I'm trying not to metagame anything that I know about, like ghost story and all the other kind of game, uh, you know, books that I've read so far, which I'm on scan game is where I stopped. I'll pick back up later. But, um, I, I've really, I mean, it's kind of part of that moving on thing too. Trying to get, trying to get her wondering if he got, if he had a name, if it would get, if an identity.

[01:01:57] I, I can't remember if in Dresden, that's the case, Josh, do you, or, or other, other Dresden aficionados here? Um, like, is that a, a thing that can like, like, if you, if you like give, give a ghost something that like, like, like resolve their, uh, their, um, their, the, the result, like resolving something will like have them pass on. Is that like a thing in Dresden? I can't remember. I believe so.

[01:02:24] Um, really, it's a better question to ask of Mort, but you know, Mort ain't here. Yeah. Mort's in the Caribbean right now. Um, I, I'd be, I'd be willing to say also like names do have power. So like, if you could find her name, you might be able to like push her along the path. I want to find all the kids names. Yeah. They all need to go. That's fair.

[01:02:52] Uh, that would probably require you to go. Well, the only place that would probably have it that hasn't been like erased from reality is probably Icker Falls, like in town. It's in the town itself. It feels like that's what's where we're going anyway. Yeah. I'm going to look at her and be like, well, youngin, I know we don't know, officially know your name just yet, but I can't keep calling you Totenkind. Like that just doesn't seem right.

[01:03:21] Doesn't seem, seems awful interpersonal or impersonal. I don't like it. How about, how about, how about since you, uh, you, you like, you kind of flamey. How about, uh, how about I start calling, how about we start calling you Ember? Ember sound good? Sounds better than Arson. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Ember. That works. Well, she's a girl. I don't know. You're just like a little flame. You're just like a little flame.

[01:03:51] Yeah. Yeah. That that's, I can go with that. And then how about, uh, you know, we know you were not technically family, but how about, uh, you know, you can call me uncle Les. That's uncle Caleb over there. And that's, that's, that's, uh, that's a baron. You know, we're all friends now. And we're going to, like, you just ignored auntie, uh, auntie, uh, auntie, auntie Skarsgård. Or auntie Liz. Yeah. Yeah. Sorry. So we're going to try and do what we can to get you out of there and get you, get you,

[01:04:20] uh, somewhere a lot more fun where it's not scary. We don't want scary things over here because scary things aren't good. We want things to be happy and we want things to be right. And we want to see you go, we want to see you go somewhere other than where you're at along with all the other kids. We want you all to be happy. So that's, that's, uh, we're going to try and get that done for you. Okay. Uh, will dad go too, or? That's your dad's choice. It'd be nice to reunite the family, wouldn't it?

[01:04:51] I'll tell you what. But I know that your dad's not here to say yes, but I'll take the blame for it. If he says that, uh, you shouldn't have gone with strangers while you're going with friends and we're responsible adults. Aren't we, Calum? You darn straight we are. I'm a notary of the state. See? Responsible adults. Okay. Yeah.

[01:05:17] So yeah, that's, that's about what you get from, uh, from Ember. Well, I enjoyed that. I'm sorry. It kind of, it kind of like delayed everything, but I liked the little scene. Yeah. I was hoping reading rainbow would have just changed her life, but I probably should have picked something a little bit better. It. It's fun. Giving her her first taste of like TV. Uh, yeah. Educational and entertaining.

[01:05:46] It would have been good if you had that, uh, you know, what's the one about the seeds? You know, parsley Avenue or something. With the giant puppets and the, the bird and the elephant. Maybe not the puppets. Or perhaps not the puppets. Or Mr. Rogers. Mr. Rogers always do. Or Richard's carry. There's those little cute little critters he drives. How about on the way? Well, I'll figure out how to tune the TV in there. How about that? Well, that works. Oh my God. Yes.

[01:06:16] David. Forever uncle, sir. Forever uncle. Yeah. What happened to your truck, Calum? Why is it Lizzie? Lizzie's like outside. Oh, say no more. I understand. Please tell me you've got a pool in that trailer. Oh, I do. I do. But, uh, I mean. Excellent. In her defense, she was acting uncharacteristically, not like Lizzie, when she tried to help the child.

[01:06:46] So, I can't be too mad. I mean, this is just a thing. A thing that set me back several, several, several thousand dollars. But, I mean, it is what it is. If you need money, you come to me. You know, that's a damn good thing. That's a different thing. There's just a moment there's like dot, dot, dot. Processing. Processing. Light bulb turns on. Yeah, it's like, oh, right.

[01:07:14] I have a billion dollar, or like a very rich, uh, supernatural friend who won't, who's, who's very generous. I like the fact that it's never been an issue. It never been a thing where he looked at him and was like, you know what? I think I do want you to supersize my meal back. And Josh, like, you know, honestly, like, I know we're giving you shit about that there. Oh, fuck yeah. That was a very humanizing thing. That was very much.

[01:07:42] Actually, I do, I do have one little, like, caveat to the scene of like, like when you're, as you guys are like, have like still with like the girl, like on the screen. So that's like, um, is that the girl that tried to help me earlier? Like that threw me in the, in the, in the water? Yeah. Yeah. You can call her Auntie Liz and, uh, we'll, we'll, we'll introduce you to Uncle Liam. That's out of character. Yeah. Yeah. She, she waves is like, hi, Auntie Liz. Like smiles.

[01:08:14] So we'll introduce you to Uncle Liam sometime soon. He was the other one that tried to help you. Oh yeah. The, the really, the really nice man with the strange voice. Yeah. And the weird smelling cough syrup. Oh, right. Yes. Cause he used Buckley's. He did. He always used Buckley's. Of course he did. Yeah. I was like, um, oh yeah, that, that guy too. Um. Yeah. Yeah. You go, you. Hey, you. Hello.

[01:08:43] Hey, you guys. It's like when you run into somebody from high school, they're like, hey, you. Yeah. Guy with the name. That I can't remember. Yeah. But yeah. Ember also like, I was like, uh, Auntie, uh, Auntie Liz, did you get in trouble? No, sweetie. No, no, not at all. Okay. That's good. I know you were just trying to help. Yeah.

[01:09:13] She just like, yeah, just kind of like smiles, like a child, like the child she is. Josh, when we offer you a sympathy pet in the role playing game world, you take it. And you need it as a fucking therapy pet after the session. And he will destroy the entire world to protect it. You will burn the world down. I think my favorite line of this entire scene was, if you need money, why didn't you ask? Yeah. Yeah. That was, that was pretty good.

[01:09:43] Those are because I knew I wouldn't get it. No, but yeah. All right. Um, so we get that. Well, it wasn't if you need money, why didn't you ask? It's you need money. You come to me. Yeah. That's what it was. Let's be real. Would you give it if I asked? You? No. Caleb? Exactly. Yes. Yeah. There is a difference. I like Caleb. Yeah. I think that, I think that was primarily addressed to, to, uh, to Caleb. Oh, I'm aware. Trust me. I'm aware.

[01:10:12] Also, as a wizard of like. Caleb treats me as a person. Lizzie. Not just an inconvenient creature of the night. Lizzie. I'm sorry. Have you ever seen what a friend of a kid can do to someone? I kind of feel like if I were dragged away by some kind of fungus monster and my friends were trying to gain aid to get me out of it and they turned to you and said, Lizzie, would you help the Baron? You would say, no. Baron's not human.

[01:10:42] Has there been a single case where I haven't helped you? Yes. As a matter of fact, there is. Think about it in your pool. Get in your trailer. He's got a trailer. There ain't no pool in that. I don't need it. I'm far enough away. You open it up. There is a pool. God damn it. Why can't there just be a trailer for once? I mean, it's illegal. First off, to drive around with a person. Like surfing on the back of a pipe bag. So it's in the truck bed. What's your point?

[01:11:11] It's Kentucky. I mean, I've seen people turn. I've seen people turn like pontoons into houseboats before. They're not going to bat an eye when they see that conglomeration of plywood and two by fours. We put a window in it. And it's got drapes. But we had to put you in a pool because it's got a winch on it, too. We don't want that fucking up. It's a winch. It's battery. Why did you make it electrical? It's battery. It's manual.

[01:11:41] Yeah. It would be hella manual. Yeah. If you ever tried to pull a car out of a hole with a chain. Oh, shit. All right. Let's move away from the scene. Let's transition to the scene. Honestly, it's game. It's just it's everything I wanted. It's just a bunch of friends that are just bullshitting. Bullshitting. Yeah. And it's fun. Yeah. I do have a scene. So I'm going to say that this like that all happened.

[01:12:07] Like this happened like the day before the meeting or the meetup. So. So the morning of the meetup. Oh, you guys doing the meeting and stuff with that. But Calum, you you wake up to a knock at your door. I hope and it's feel and everything's OK. Also have a 38 kind of behind my back as I go to kind of and I pull up little blinds in the door.

[01:12:36] A black SUV in the car or in your driveway. It's got like a some kind of emblem on it. And and like underneath it's like in the writing you can see is like something pharmaceuticals. So yeah, there's another knock at the door. The very high. OK, I just set my phone down, kind of angle the camera where I was facing the door and just kind of hit record. And hold on a second.

[01:13:01] And then I step back and stomp through the trailer loud enough for them to hear me walking exaggeratedly. And I open the door, but I keep my foot behind the door so it doesn't go open all the way. And can I help you? Hi, is this Mr. Mr. Blackburn? Yes. And I mean, I donated my local church. I'm not really going to donate. I do like my other donations. But yeah.

[01:13:32] Oh, sorry. This isn't a like a donation thing. In fact, this is an opportunity for you. Sir. May I come in? Is this one of these triangle schemes? No, sir. No. Let's sit on the porch and I just leave the door open. Like, it's fine. We went to the door. Farewell. I've been advised not to invite people in my house. Yeah. Do you want to roll an intellect?

[01:14:02] Do you want to roll an intellect there? Of course. Of course. I mean, I got two points in it. Ooh. Okay. And do you have anything that's like, actually, do you have anything that would help with like perception in this matter? I mean, I got my trouble headhunters on all sides, but that doesn't help perception. Not that. Um. No, I don't. Okay. Then just roll an intellect. Two. Two?

[01:14:29] Uh, you see there's, um, there's another guy in the passenger side of the, or in the driver side of the, uh, the van or the, uh, the SUV. Um, you can't see if there's anybody in the, in the back. Cause like, it's just kind of like dark in there. Uh, this man is in like a nice like suit kind of, kind of like, looks like, looks like, uh, somewhere between like a core, uh, some, like a corporate agent and a, uh, a man in black.

[01:14:56] Um, uh, Mr. Blackberry and I represent a, uh, a company that, uh, feels that they might be able to, um, uh, uh, uh, we might be able to benefit, uh, both benefit. Uh, we may be able to benefit and you may be able to benefit from us, uh, working together. Y'all need a notary? Uh, no, no. Um, and he, uh, he has a little, he has a folder, uh, under his, uh, under his arm and he pulls it out.

[01:15:25] I was like, uh, please tell me, is this, uh, is this, are these photos of, uh, of you, Mr. Blackburn, uh, at, at the, uh, hospital, uh, a week or two ago. And he like points to, uh, it like looks, you, you see like some photos, uh, like surveillance style photos, uh, of you performing a miracle, uh, like a, uh, light kind of, uh, like light coming off of a, uh, of a, uh, uh, uh, an injured person at the, uh, at the hospital parking lot. Um, it's, it's, it's from a distance.

[01:15:54] Uh, but it's clear that you're doing something. Um, and, and, and like there's, there's, uh, the, the guy gets back up basically, or like stands up or sits back, sits up after, uh, seemingly recovering from, from his injuries through the, through the series of photos that they have. And Josh, some of the chickens are in my yard too. They're roosting over here now. Uh, no, no. Oh, do you have enough feed for them all, Adam? No, no, no.

[01:16:21] Mr. Blackburn, there's nothing to be, nothing to be, uh, nervous about or anything like that. Uh, we, we would like to just offer you an opportunity to, uh, to make a lot of money. Um, we just need to have you, uh, come with us, uh, to, uh, our facility to, uh, run some tests. Um, I assure you nothing, nothing, uh, too, too probing or anything like that. Just, we want to, uh, we, we're, we're very interested in your abilities, Mr. Mr. Blackburn. Oh, well, I mean, obviously I'm blessed by the Lord. I got a big mouth, Josh.

[01:16:50] I mean, that's, it was one of my things, Josh. You can just have a, you can just have a fate point. Yeah. Thank you. I'm blessed by the Lord, but see, it doesn't work like that, man. It's just, I get, you gotta work through the Lord and Lord didn't ask me to go work for, uh, you know, et cetera and migraine or whatever the fuck you're representing here, sir. So I really can't be of my service to you. And there's this whole part in the Bible about money lenders and stuff like that. And Jesus not going in the temple and knocking over some stuff and things like that. So I think management has an issue with that.

[01:17:19] And I would not even be blessed anyway to help you all. So like, I appreciate that. I find it mildly creepy. I also find the gentleman over there in the van kind of creepy as well. So I will thank you for stopping by and keeping it cordial and all that, but I will, uh, reiterate that I'm currently employed and not seeking further employment. And he stands up, never putting his back to the man and goes, uh, I bid you good day, sir.

[01:17:50] Uh, well, he, then he's just like, oh, that. So there's no, no chance I, we can, uh, I'll be, I can, I can persuade you even with, uh, and he gives like a, uh, a fairly decent amount of money. Uh, like, um, uh, like he, he says out a, like a decent amount of money, um, like a lump sum kind of thing to you. Farrah said it for a second because he's never seen that much money in one place at one time. And then he thinks he remembers Baron and his, and it plays through his head. I already got it. I already got it. Sugar daddy.

[01:18:21] What, what, say it again for the people at home, David, what did the Baron say a few moments ago? You need money. You come to me. Uh, I, I appreciate that, uh, that money, but no, sir, I, um, this is, uh, this is not the road that I'm to travel. Well, that, that is a shame. Uh, he whistles. Uh, I need you to roll a haste. I also said that I had a 38. I know he's, yep.

[01:18:49] So haste, uh, uh, but like haste for right now, because, uh, he said, uh, he's, he signaled somebody. I wrote a two. Okay. Uh, give me a second. Just don't roll a two, Chris. Roll blow it. Oh yeah. Let's see. Uh, you feel a prick on your neck. Um, you can, uh, yeah, you feel a prick in your neck and you start feeling a little heavy. Do you want, do you want to fade point? You know what?

[01:19:17] The five's a good number and it seems like it'd make the session interesting. Yeah. Okay. Um, you like start feeling really heavy. You drop the, the gun and then you just, you feel yourself flop to your porch. Uh, and you black out as you see, uh, uh, two other men, um, kind of come from around the, your, uh, your, uh, your house. Um, and, uh, come at, like come toward you. So, uh, uh, we cut away later that day.

[01:19:48] Uh, or like, or ranch. Yeah. Meanwhile, back at the ranch. Um, uh, does, um, yeah. So you guys, uh, I assume you guys like, uh, we're planning on meeting up early. Well, I'm going to say that you guys were planning on meeting up a little earlier, um, before doing like the, the, the big meetup. Um, so Liz, uh, Lizzie, uh, what words, uh, Lizzie, Baron, uh, Lester, you're, you're all there.

[01:20:16] Where, where the hell is, is, is, uh, is Calum? This is, he was supposed to, he was supposed to, he's usually like on time. He does have a new truck. He might be having problems figuring out how this new to him truck works. I didn't break it. Not this time anyway. Sure. You didn't. I'm going to drive out to his place. Wait, you can drive. You can't. I want, want. Yes, I can.

[01:20:47] How about we go out there and figure out. They're a little different than when I learned, but yes, I can. So Calum's not far from here. Let's go check on him. Maybe he, uh, maybe he got called away and maybe he got, uh, maybe he had somebody show up and needed some healing from him or something, you know, mysterious ways and all that. Absolutely. All right. Uh, you guys arrive at, uh, Calum's, uh, trailer. Uh, his car is in the, uh, is in the drive.

[01:21:14] Um, and the, uh, there's a gun on the porch. Uh, just like, just like kind of propped next to the door. It's Kentucky. Knock, knock, knock. Yeah. Yeah. Is the door ajar? No, the door's, the door's closed. Okay. Um, and, uh, yeah, you, uh, you wait for a reply. You never get it. Yeah. I know Calum. He wouldn't be going anywhere without his rifle or without his pistol. Yeah. Uh, the door is unlocked. Uh, you, you can go inside.

[01:21:45] Um, there is, uh, nobody at home. Is there any, um, trying to investigate like, yeah. You can roll some of that. Intellect roll. Yeah. Intellect rolls to look around. Damn. Would you, hang on? Hang on. I'm just going to point at the stove. There's grits on that stove in that pan. Uneat. Yeah. In fact, it's like, it's, it's, uh, yeah, it's, it's, it's cooked right down. It's black.

[01:22:15] Didn't even take the, so the stove's still on. Yeah. So he hadn't been, he'd been, he hadn't been going long. So you're going to turn the stove off right there. Yeah. Uh, yeah. But it looks like it's probably like, like those are like carbon, whatever's in that pan. So, uh, it's been, it's been at least an hour or so. Um, and, uh, who, did anybody else roll for an investigation or the, the intellect? Uh, can I roll a guile to see if I can.

[01:22:45] Guile would also work. Yeah. I would also accept guile. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Elector guile would probably fit for an, for an intelligence thing. That's a two. Uh, okay. Uh, yeah. Um, you're, you're outside like picking up that gun, uh, or like checking the gun and you notice, uh, next to like, just like nearby, like under, just under like a table or something like that, there is a loose, like, looks like a loose, uh, uh, photograph, like probably

[01:23:13] like eight by five or something like that photograph, uh, paper. Um, and it's a surveillance photo, uh, or seemingly a surveillance photo of, uh, of Calum, uh, healing somebody at the hospital. Uh, does it have, is it just the page or is it the folder or is it just, uh, it's just, it's just a single one, one of the photos. It's, it's, it's a single photo. Is there any watermarks on it? Um, you can check. Yeah.

[01:23:42] Uh, what, what was that, Josh? I just like the idea of like the watermarks. So it denotes copyright or who actually took the photo across me. You never know. Shutterstock. Yeah. Honestly, you never know. This photo is property of the, we say so drug corporation. Why? Because we say so. Working for a giant pharma company, we put our name on everything. I put that shit on ever. I was just about to say that. Yeah. It's Frank.

[01:24:12] Like if it's not on the front, look at the back. Yeah. You check, you check on the back. It's on the paper stock too. Yeah. Uh, you, you do see on the back. We're really happy with our brand. Trust me. Um, you, you do see on the back, uh, in like the corner there is in like some fine print. And there is like property of, um, uh, shit. I have not come up with a name for this. What's a, what's a good name for a, for a pharmaceutical company or corporation?

[01:24:41] Well, that isn't like raincoat, uh, raincoat, uh, pharmacy. Oh my God. They're here too. Yeah. They're in this universe too. What was the drug? What was the company from, um, Scooby-Doo mystery Inc. Abstergo. Abstergo. Abstergo. Yes. Or, uh, parasol. Uh, yeah. I like parasol too. It's, it's parasol. Yeah. Honestly, it does have the air, uh, clinical cleanliness to it. Yeah. Oh no.

[01:25:11] I think I was going to go with, um, uh, what's Caduceus pharmaceuticals. Yeah. It's Caduceus, uh, pharmaceuticals. So it has a stick with a snake wrapped around it. Yeah. Basically. Or a stylized. It's two snakes and wings. The staff of Asclepias is one snake on a stick. Yeah. Which is actually medicine. Two snakes and wings is the god of trickery. Yeah. Which is Hermes. Which definitely fits for a drug company. Yes, it does. As we're standing on the porch having this actual conversation.

[01:25:41] Of course we are. Uh, by the way, there is no logo. It's just, uh, Caduceus pharmaceuticals. It's not, it's just written. That's the watermark on it? Yeah, sure. Did no one find a cell phone? Did I left it? Oh yeah. That's what I was asking. I can roll. No one's laughing. You can roll. Yeah, roll for that. No. Not you. I rolled a two. He rolled a two. Oh no, you're right. Uh, look at cell phone. Poof. Josh, it's not on. Josh? Josh. Do you want a fate point?

[01:26:12] If I have crossed the threshold, Chris, it doesn't matter. Oh yeah, that is true. He wasn't invited in. Yeah. So if I crossed in there, I'm just extremely weak. Yeah. So you're, yeah, you do find it. This is a null point. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah, that's fine. You do find it. You feel gross. Well, I do feel gross. Or you feel, you feel like it's not like you don't feel violated, but you feel like you're violating somebody's personal space.

[01:26:38] You personally are, are insulting the space, but you do find the cell phone. That is an odd descriptor. I've, that's how I've heard it actually described in another actual play is like, you feel like you are violating somebody else's personal space. I fully get it, but that is, holy fuck. Uh, but yeah, so you do find the cell phone. Okay. I know his code.

[01:27:07] Look guys, one of these cellular telephone things, all the kids are on about. Give me that. Thank you, Lizzie. Take a couple of steps to the side, turn it on. What was the last thing done on the phone? Uh, what was the last thing done on the phone, Adam? I set the, I set the recorder to record the interaction on the porch. All right. Yes. So yeah, you guys get kind of the, yeah, you get that scene then, uh, kind of transaction.

[01:27:35] Um, uh, he, uh, some, some, uh, corporate agent, uh, arrived at his door, uh, offering, like showing him the evidence that they had of, of his, uh, uh, of his abilities and offered him a job. Then when he declined, um, he got taken down by, uh, by somebody off screen. And then, uh, two agents grabbed his body off the, off the porch and, and got him into a black SUV. And, uh, uh, uh, and they, they headed out. They do our audio.

[01:28:05] They offered him one entire briefcase full of money. Yeah. They, they just like, he, she showed like the, he showed like a check, like no one else saw it, but it started glowing on the one side that like was, it was facing at our Calum. So how many people did you say got into the, into the, uh, there was, there were three, like, so there's the, the, the guy that tried to like negotiate it, those situations. And then there's a guy who's, who's in the driver's seat.

[01:28:34] And then there were two people that, uh, that came out, uh, came out of like out of nowhere and grabbed, uh, grabbed Calum. So five including Calum. Yeah. Are thrown in that SUV. Yep. Potentially a sixth if one, if somebody pricked him in the neck and the other two caught him. That's true. Yeah. So you only, you only saw it was one of those two that got him. Period. Yeah. You only saw like the, the two guys grab him and then like the, the other guy, the, the, the representative, uh, go into the, into the passenger side. Okay.

[01:29:05] So let's, uh, let's go ahead and assume that somebody's got eyes on us. If we do or do not know that there's another person and apparently they're incredibly sneaky because they snuck up on him, cranked him, two people caught him, threw him in the truck. Yep. So until further notice, let's assume that somebody's got eyes on us. Somebody's what? Uh, and you do actually see that, um, you do actually, I guess you would actually see part, you don't see the license plate on the car, but you do see the, the, the logo.

[01:29:32] So, uh, and on top of saying like Caduceus pharmaceuticals, it does actually have the, um, the twin snake Caduceus. So how very amateur two ish to come out here with their fucking logo on their car. That's not amateur ish. That's comp or that's overconfident. Yeah. They did that because they didn't expect them to. At this point, same thing. Yep. So how, they took my friend.

[01:30:01] I have a specific set of skills and claws. I mean, I'd say he's my friend too, but I have a feeling you'd have a problem with that. Same with you. We're work friends, dammit. Well, that brings up a very valid question. I am going to go save my friend. Oh, I'm in. Yes. Don't. Are you sure? I'm a, I'm a wizard. I gave my word. Did I not? Uh, we may need to get help.

[01:30:31] Don't call me a liar again. Prove that you're not. We may need to get help from the Sasquatch for this. They can. We haven't, we haven't gotten him back yet. The other, the other Sasquatch. Oh. Josh, don't be. They may not be happy that their cousin isn't back yet. But they'll understand Calum. They are friends of Calum too.

[01:30:57] Matter of fact, I'm fairly certain that everyone in town, when they hear that Calum has been taken, would be willing to offer help in some way. But let's start with the Skunk Apes. All right. Um, so, well, you also need to figure out where these guys are, like, where they're going, or who, like, where, where would they be hidden, so. I want to kind of walk off into, I'll be like, hold on guys, I'm going to try and see if I can get a hold on somebody real quick. Okay.

[01:31:26] And, uh, I want to kind of walk out, you know, next to the trailer, not far into the woods, and I'll be like, Barnabas, do you hear me? Uh, yes, I am here! Just see, like, like, off in the distance, and something like this, like, little, like, little ball of light just kind of, like, comes zooming through the trees. All right, buddy, I got a mission for you. If you can, you can help out. You know the, the healing lord, the one that helped you out about a week ago? Yes, the one I owe a debt, a life debt to. Well, our, um, our man's been taken.

[01:31:56] What? You can pay it back right now. Uh, there's a, and I, I want to show him the, the, the logo. I'm going to draw the little logo and be like, there's a, there was a van that just took him, or an SUV that just took him, a little black, little black thing. We need to know where he's at so we can go get him. Uh, he, he looks at it, uh, like, like, seems to be memorizing the, memorizing the, the, the look of it and such. I give him the rundown from what we saw on the video. Okay.

[01:32:26] Okay. Uh, uh, on the honor of, of, of, uh, of my, of me and mine, the free people of the hauler will go searching. Uh, and then he like pulls out from like, from like behind him, like, you don't know where he was keeping that, but he pulls out like a little, like, um, uh, a little like stag beetle horn.

[01:32:45] And just like, uh, like a little, like, a little, yeah, a little, like high pitched, like, like hunting horn kind of opens up. And you just see like out of the, out of the brush and like out of the hills in the, in the woods around, uh, around, uh, uh, Adam's place or around, uh, Calum's place. Um, these, like a swarm at first, it looks just like a swarm of bugs.

[01:33:15] And then you just see here, like you start hearing like little high pitch, like, uh, war cries. All right. One caveat or one, one, uh, one caveat here, friend. If it starts getting, getting hairy and you guys start getting some trouble, sensing some trouble, you get out of there. They snuck up on him and they got then, and they know what at least one of us can do. We're going to assume that all of us can do it. You guys be sneaky. You guys be like the night.

[01:33:40] And if you guys start getting an itchy feeling about it, you, you, you cut bait and you get out of there. You hear me? We, we hear you. All right. Free folk of the hauler. Let's go. And they just kind of like go up into the sky, like, like a, like a, like a huge swarm of gnats. Be like the night you say to a glowing being. Well, they stop, they stop glowing once they like hit the tree line. Cause like, they know that like, let's go draw attention.

[01:34:10] You would not believe your eyes if 10 million fireflies. Yeah. Actually, what are those owls? Oh God. It's like a city out there. Um, but yeah. So, uh, yeah, you've, uh, you, you have a, uh, uh, well, I'll, you have a, uh, if you want to spend a, sorry, words. Getting ahead of myself. Uh, yeah. Yeah. You guys, uh, have an aspect. Um, uh, oh, another one. Yeah.

[01:34:40] Basically surveillance, uh, like, uh, surveillance from the free folk of, of the hauler. It's called, it's called, give me a holler. Yeah. No, that's it. Yeah. That's it. It's called, give me a holler. Yeah. Um, so you can, you can tap, but that's, it's a, a one-time aspect, uh, that you can use to, um, uh, to find, uh, to find, uh, to find, uh, roughly where, uh, we're, where, um, that vehicle is. There's another thing that we can do. There's people in the vehicle. Yeah.

[01:35:10] Well, I mean, you gotta find the vehicle. Yeah. So I'm going to go visit Calum's bathroom for a minute. Okay. Because I assume that Calum, like our friend, our friendly neighborhood scarecrow teacher, Mr. Thornsberg, is a long-haired individual. Yes? Actually, I had Chris draw him up. He was short-haired, but he has long beard. He has long, he has a, a bushy beard.

[01:35:34] And he, you might, you probably have some, like facial, like some, some, uh, some hairs or something like that, like around your skin. I was going to raid the hairbrush. Yeah. And just raid the hairbrush, take out enough hair to make a solid lock of the hair. Okay. So you're going to do like a, a ritual of some kind, or? Oh, I'm just going to take a deep sniff and track like a bloodhound. Or that, yeah. Well, I don't need to do that.

[01:36:03] I, I know Calum's scent very, very well. We are talking about one of my closest, dearest friends. The man who put my leg together after it got caught in a bear trap once. Don't ask. I want to. I really do. I love the, I love the, I love the conversations you guys have. Like, as you're, as you're, it's just, it's so fun. The bickering and all.

[01:36:26] But the thought occurs to me that if we had a wizard, any wizard worth their salt, who knew how to do a locator spell, perhaps, having something personal from the, from the person that we are seeking. From the deceased, geez. They would definitely be able to find that person. Yeah. If only you knew a wizard. Yep. If only we knew a wizard who could cast a locator spell.

[01:36:56] Curses that white wizard is in Canada still. Lizzie, do you happen to know a wizard who could cast a locator spell? I do, but I think she's waiting for you to ask nicely. This is as nice as it gets, Skarsgård. Are you in or out? I'm in. And thank you. I appreciate your confidence in my abilities. You haven't done the ritual yet, sir. I understand that, but still. I take that as if. Yeah. I also have to leave the house first.

[01:37:26] Yep. Yes. But in the meantime, take this hair freely given. So Lizzie, let me help you out. Between the two of us, we can make sure it works with this. Yeah. And let's go somewhere where we're... Let's try and find a spot where we might not be being watched. Do we know a spot? Anywhere other than right here. This is Appalachia. All right, but there's no guarantee we won't be followed.

[01:37:53] At least if we're being followed, somebody will have to follow. Yeah. This is Appalachia. Take five steps into the tree line, and no one will find you. This is fair. Especially these forests. They know. They do tend to keep their dead occasionally. I do like to think that when hikers go into the woods, especially around Moorhead, into

[01:38:19] the hills and stuff like that, and that creepy situation where all the wildlife just stops making any noise. And it's like, oh shit, it's one of those creepy situations of some kind of thing in the woods. It's actually just the Baron just like on his stroll. And that's just what's freaking somebody out. It would be. Like, why are all of the birds flying this way all of a sudden? Why did everybody just hush up?

[01:38:49] Why is that deer bleeding? Baron just said, oh, what a lovely day. Baron, would you mind keeping an eye out, maybe a nose out, see if anybody follows us out into the woods? They will not follow. Appreciate it. All right. We doing this? Yes. Kind of just waiting on what Chris wants me to roll. Yeah. So I got both.

[01:39:12] Honestly, I'll have this be flashy or intellect, depending on how you want to, if you're being like, you're concentrating with it, or if you're being like, if you're like getting like all the kinds of accoutrement to it and stuff like that, or. I would get everything I need. And what do you mean by flashy? Flare? Yeah. Flare. That's all right. Yeah. Sorry. I meant. Yeah. Fuck. You chose the worst shit for me. I said intellect or flair. Again, those are the worst for me. I'm sorry. I've got a zero and flair. I've got a one in intellect. Yeah. I've got intellect.

[01:39:43] I've also got ritualist, which gives me a plus two on my prep roll. Same here, but yeah. I would also say that you could also tap the give me a holler aspect. Basically, you could use your aerial pixie network to kind of like amplify. The broadcast of the ritual. Yeah. I'd tap that. So intellect and. Hey, thank you. Would that be a plus one or a plus two?

[01:40:14] It's a. I'll holler back. Well, the. That's actually. Uh, Jeremy has to. Uh, has to tag that one. Oh. Between the two of us, we've already got a plus four because I've got two on the prep roll. You've got two on the prep roll. Yeah. So I don't really think we need to tap it. If, if you want me to do it, I've got a two on intellect. Like you can assist me. I can assist you either way. Whichever way you guys want to go with it. By the way, but just need to roll into like, don't we? Yeah. No, one of us will. Yeah.

[01:40:44] One of you guys has to roll an intellect. Yeah, it's probably better if Jeremy runs it. Fuck. All right. Okay. I'll roll. So you're doing all the prep work and then he's basically just like, he's, he's, uh, uh, finishing the job basically. Yeah. So what are we, thematically, what are we grabbing from the woods to make a little, little compass? Yeah. What's your, what's your ritual look like there, um, scars guard. Oh, God damn it. I need to know. The audience wants to know. Ooh.

[01:41:10] If you want to go for something that's got a little bit of flair from all three of us, um, a couple of Calum's hairs wrapped around a deer antler and then, um, suspended in something that makes sound, um, a natural bell or a, a wind chime of some kind. Just a, just a, a Coke can that's been cut. Yes. Yeah. Over, perhaps over an open fire, over like a small campfire.

[01:41:40] It's a small bottle. It'll give us a. Oh, God. Oh my God. It's not tobacco. It's a, God damn. Not an empty one. It just sloshes them away. How did we forget the chaw jug? That would have been even better than the hair. I'm just thinking for a portable compass so that we can take whiff. Yeah. But yeah. The, I, the, the Mountain Dew bottle with the, with the chaw on it, that works because it'll slosh the way that we need to go.

[01:42:07] Josh, Josh, you, you listened to the Shadowrun game. This is the grossest adventure. I, uh, this is the, this is the second, this is the second grossest adventure I've ever had the pleasure of running. Nothing is going to beat that Shadowrun game. No, no. Nothing is ever going to beat that Shadowrun game. Unfortunately. Anyway, moving on. All right. And also, could I use Guile? Cause I know how, I know how to disappear somebody and where to hide them. Okay. Yeah. All right.

[01:42:36] So, do we get anything for actually having his hair? I'll give you a plus two. All right. So, currently we've got a plus six. So, let's see what happens. That would be an eight with a plus six. All right. Um. He's like, it's that way. Yeah. No, you, you see, um, the, cause you guys are using a bond, like the, a little campfire as well. Um, uh, you guys see a smoke trail go up into the sky and kind of start wafting out.

[01:43:06] In a direction that's against the wind. Um, and you all have this unpleasant smell of tobacco in your mouth, in your nose. Um, that seems to be coming that, you know, like it's, it's so distinct that, you know, it's actually coming from a certain direction. So, it's like faint until we get closer. Yeah. Like when you turn around, it's suddenly extremely potent. Like, like you're, uh, like you're chewing on it. Smells like peppermint skull. Yeah. Um, and, uh. Wintergreen.

[01:43:36] Yeah. It's actually wintergreen. I was like, what is his brand of choice? That depends on how much money he has at any given moment. Is it Beech Net? No, this would be Adam. Yeah. Adam, uh, what's, uh, Caleb's brand or flavor? Adam? Grizzly Long Cut. Original? Or is it, uh, this is, this is important. Yeah. The original. Yes, the original. I haven't chewed tobacco in like 15 years.

[01:44:06] Uh, uh, yeah. I'd say original. This smells like tobacco. Yeah. Yep. It does. Ugh. I'm sorry. You all could have said no to the spit bottle. Nope. Do I know? In for a penny. In for a penny. What's a penny? That's right. They don't have those. Yeah. Not anymore. In for a loony. Yep. I don't know.

[01:44:34] Um, also through the haze of the smoke, uh, I'm actually going to say that you guys get a single, thank you, Lucy. Just like, she is also disgusted by the tobacco. Uh, but yeah, through the, uh, through the smoke, there is a momentary, um, image that you guys kind of see, uh, of a highway road or of a highway sign. Um, uh, it's, uh, highway 64. Life is a highway.

[01:45:04] Um, actually, any of, hmm? What? 60. 64 is an inner site. No, no, it's highway 64. Oh, okay. Nevermind. Yep. Um. It's my old game, sir. And, uh, anybody who's from the area or who, who's familiar with the area of Kentucky could, could make an intellect roll. I believe that's all of us. Yes. Nope. As to. I mean, how fucking, yeah. Oh, good. I've looked over maps. Sure.

[01:45:33] One. That's, that seems appropriate. Um, the maps were updated. Yeah. You can't release any, none of you guys can really like tell where on the highway it is, but it's, you know, it's highway 64 that the, uh, uh, the, the, the, the small shot you see is, is of highway 64. I'm going to pull out an Atlas. Okay. Damn it. Look for a highway 64. Yeah.

[01:45:57] There's a highway 64, um, uh, pulls off of, uh, yeah, it pulls off a 137, um, and goes into one 60, uh, into 64, uh, either going toward Lexington that like basically going east or west of Moorhead. Sorry. Interstate 64, I guess term for it. Well, I did. I wasn't going to correct you for telling me about the road I was driving on today. No, no. It's good that you do tell me that.

[01:46:24] Cause like, I just, I, I consider like all the highways up here are just called highways. Like, you know, I'm sure there are like ones that are like the, the trans Canada highway or something like that. Yeah. Ooh. Well, it could be Lexington. It could be Winchester. It could be Mount Sterling before it. Like you've never seen it. I will say, you know, that it's going, it does look like they're driving east bound or sorry, west bound, west bound. Yeah. That would be Lexington for that way. Baron, Lizzie. Um, you guys want to go ahead and start heading that way.

[01:46:53] Uh, I'll do the meeting real quick with the curator and, uh, and Ms. Worm and I'll catch up. I can be there pretty quick. Yes. Okay. Um, cause we're carrying around two nuclear devices and we need to do something with them. Fair. Uh, I guess actually we're going to cut away over to the car. Um, Adam, do you know, do you want another fate point? Sure. I mean, for a penny.

[01:47:23] All right. You're still out. All right. Uh, all right. These are nice leather seats. It's like rich, Corinthian leather. Yeah. I think it's exactly the thing. Which means it's no real leather. They tied me up with a nylon rope this time. I don't even feel like just trying to break out of it. It's actually comfy. They don't even shave. Or they're like, you hear like, you start coming to it and you hear it's like, oh, he's coming back.

[01:47:52] Another prick. And you're down. I woke up while they were saying the carpenters, like, don't you remember when you told me you love me? Baby. And they were really embarrassed at that point. Right. Yeah. Put him right out. Put him right out. Sleep. Uh, but yes. Caleb goes. And then they stick him out. You might've gotten some information if you'd, uh, if you'd take, if you'd given me a fate point, but if you wanted that fate point, so. It's fine.

[01:48:20] I'm going to, I'm going to turn into the wrath of God later with all those fate points. Yeah. Uh, so we cut back away, uh, to, uh, the, I guess the meeting as, uh, the others are going, uh, chasing. So, so Jeremy, yeah, you've, uh, you've, uh, yeah, the, uh, the rest of them, uh, the rest of you guys have, uh, convened over at the, uh, the bell, book and candle with, um, the, the, uh, uh, uh, curator and his, uh, his one, uh, lackey.

[01:48:50] Um, and, uh, uh, the, um, what's, uh, and Miss Worm. Yeah. Miss Worm. Question for wanderer of the ways. Can I drag people with me? Or is it just a me thing? I think you can, you can make an opening and then like wander and then follow. So yeah. Cause we can all be where he's at very quickly. If you can find them. I mean, it does, it does. It just says I can be where I need to be. Oh, does it? Is it?

[01:49:21] Hang on a second. Page 141. 141. Okay. Yeah. I haven't pretty sure it pretty ambiguous. I, if, if I had, honestly, Chris, I had you, uh, give me a fate point because my family's ran me out of the room. I can't do any skills right now. If I walk in there, you're getting here and playing Katamari down my seat, which is an amazing game. Yeah. Uh, yeah.

[01:49:47] Once per session, you may conveniently arrive in a scene in a matter and time of your choosing without consideration for time or distance. Okay. Yeah. So once, yeah, once per session. Okay. Yeah. That's why I wanted to make sure it wasn't because I was going to be like, you guys go on ahead and I'll catch up. But if we can all go. Yeah. It's just like, okay, we're here now. Yeah. Well, you only know like that. Like, well, the problem, the thing is the general idea. Yeah. You, you, you'll have a general idea of where he is. Um, like, again, you need, I feel like you do need to know where you're going. Yeah.

[01:50:16] Well, I don't necessarily want to drop in the middle of and be like, hi guys, how's it going? Can I have some sugar? I'd rather drop out on the outside. Or it's like, it's like, all right, we've arrived. Conditioned one. No, no, no, right in front of the car. Sitting on the hood. Hey guys, can I, can I have a friend back? Yeah. And then I suck him into the, uh, suck him into the stillwood with my knife. Yeah. Anyway.

[01:50:45] That didn't happen yet. It might. Fuck around and find out. Uh, but you're going, you're, you're going to the meeting first. Yeah. Uh, yeah. So it's under the guise of having the, the pixie network plus the, the, the, the smell. Yeah. Yeah. All right. So yeah, the, uh, yeah. So the, um, uh, yeah, the, I can remember, I keep wanting to say conductor, uh, curator and,

[01:51:11] um, and, uh, miss Wormer, or like, I've said, she set up like the, she's like set up shop that like it's closed for right now and stuff like that. Um, so yeah, we've, we have this meeting. Um, where, where's, where's, where's, where's Calum? Uh, that's, uh, yeah, we're kind of on a time clock right now. Um, Calum got kidnapped. Correct. Why are we, we, we could, we could have moved this meeting. Well, at the moment we got two nuclear devices. We didn't want to be wandering around out in the woods with.

[01:51:41] So, uh, the, the, the words, I keep wanting to say conductor. God damn it. Choo choo. Uh, the, yeah, the curator is like, uh, yes. Uh, so have we, have we come to an arrangement? Uh, are we, are we, are you handing over the, the items to, to us or? Well, we, uh, we kind of ran into a snafu with that. Um, currently there's the spirit of a little girl inside this little lamp.

[01:52:08] Uh, we kind of, we kind of told her that we were going to try and figure out a way of getting her and all the, all the children that are, you know, died with her to move on. And, uh, I don't necessarily know if you want to eat a soul. So, I feel like it's probably. You're very attached to this, you're attached to this, this, this spirit? Uh, yeah. I mean, it's a little girl. I know Kalem. It's, uh, something Kalem really wanted to do and I'm, I'm all for trying to get her to move on.

[01:52:37] She's, she's stuck in a situation that she doesn't necessarily know what's going on. She's being used by her dad. I, we can't have that. Very well. We, uh, we will not take the. I mean, afterwards, once she's gone, you can do whatever you feel like with the lantern as long as Miss Worm's cool with it. Uh, Miss Worm just points like, uh, well, I mean, oh yeah, what, what's, uh, well, the, um, whatever magic that the lantern has is powered by, by, uh, the totem kind inside.

[01:53:07] So, what, what, curator, what is your involvement in all this? Um, and then he, the curator just kind of like looks around at the wards, uh, just like make sure like they're all like secure. It's like, uh, yes, Mr. Miss Worm, um, first off, I'd like to say it is a pleasure to finally, uh, come to your acquaintance. Um, my name is Mr. Who of the Jade Court. And she's just like, oh, okay.

[01:53:37] I was unaware that your people were in this area. Okay. Uh, yes, don't worry. Um, there's the, we, we will be conduct, we, we conduct ourselves rather subtly. Yes. Uh, you, you get, you kind of see, um, uh, uh, Miss Worm kind of like flush in embarrassment, like, how the fuck did I miss this? It's not so much worry. It's not so much worry of like, oh no, they're going to eat me.

[01:54:05] Like it's, it's more of just like, I am really off my game lately. So, uh, yeah, it's like, okay, well, yes, that would actually, if, so you, um, you're taking the items is like, yes, we will, it will, we'll take one of them if it's assuming it's a, um, uh, an enchanted item that we can dispose of it properly. Well, the other thing that we have going on with us is, um, currently our friend Phil

[01:54:33] is being hostage, being held hostage and they're wanting this whistle. I don't want to give it to them. We've already established that. Once it's been drained of all of its power, we can give them the empty whistle and we fulfill the letter of the bargain. That's also true. True. True. Or we got one or two options. We can either have them drain it, which I'm all about, or we can figure out how to make

[01:54:59] the tune such that it blows up in their face when they try and play it. Either of this is manageable. We can certainly drain it and give you back the empty vessel. So Baron, you're more, uh, you're more up on the accord stuff. So what do you think? Also, Lizzie, what do you think? There's a moment where I was like, also, Lizzie, what do you think? Because you're there too. Well, you'll definitely be starting something if we, uh, set it to blow up. I mean, we already started something.

[01:55:27] And, uh, as the, as the ancient scrolls once said, don't start nothing, won't be nothing. You need to pick a fight in our town. So. So what do you guys think? Yeah, I'm leaving this to you guys as players. Like the player characters, like the others, the, the, not, the NPCs are waiting to hear back. I feel like this is the, this is the best way to fulfill all of the obligations at once. Our Jadecord friends get to eat.

[01:55:54] Um, that basically takes away a sort of Damocles that is hanging over all of us. We get to free Dr. Phil, tie up pretty much all of our loose ends in a nice, neat little package. No one is truly happy with that outcome as it stands, which means that it is a perfect compromise. You do tend to be the voice of reason. That's why I asked you. Does everybody else agree?

[01:56:23] I see no problem with this, says the, says the curator. Um, this is your object. What do you think? I, I think it's the, the whistle specifically should probably, if, if it is the summoning and control mechanism for something very dangerous, um, and keeping it out of the Stillwood King's hands and keeping it out of her hands is probably the best bet we're going to have of

[01:56:50] hampering, hampering, or even delaying their chances of, of, uh, opening the veil wide open. I think it's time to let some things go. Well, I'm all about it. Uh, curator, it seems like it's a, it's a, it's mealtime for you, buddy. Glendon. Nom, nom, nom. Uh, yeah, he, uh, looks, nods over to his, uh, his associate and she comes over and, and takes the item. Would you, do you want us to just feed here or would you rather, would you mind if we

[01:57:20] take this back to the, uh, the gallery? To be perfectly honest with you, I'd rather be under the protection of something of, uh, that people's going to have a hard time getting in through. Yes. I would say take it to the gallery. We will pick it up after we recover Calum. Very well. Is there anything else you'd like to donate to the exhibit? Like, I'm currently fresh out. I don't know about you, Miss Worm. I don't know if you got any clutter laying around that you'd like to have eaten. Uh, no, no, that's, that's it. Uh, very, very well.

[01:57:49] And, uh, yeah, um, the curator and, uh, his, uh, his subordinate, uh, leave the, leave the bell, book, and candle with the whistle in tow. Curator, you be, you be careful. Uh, it's been strange out there, as you know. We don't want to see anybody else get hurt. Yes. Uh, we have, we will, we have been prioritizing security. Uh, we will see you in a few hours. And, yeah, they head off. So. As far as the, uh, the lantern goes, do you mind if we leave it here?

[01:58:17] Uh, we kind of rigged up a little talking device, a little video device, if you would like to talk to, to the young lady. You can talk to the Totenkind? Yes, ma'am. We even gave her a name, because I got tired of calling her Totenkind. Uh, we started calling her Ember, because she's like a little flame. That. She, like, pauses for a second, and is like, that is strangely adequate. All right, yeah, I guess I'll just set up, I'll just continue with my, uh, my supernatural daycare center.

[01:58:46] I'll say, I'll show you, I'll show her real quick how to turn it on and be like, this is, uh, this is Miss Worm. She's good, she's good people. Um. Oh, Miss, Miss, Miss Worm. Hello, again. It's like, hello, Ember. Nice to see you again. I'm terribly sorry for, uh, the situation you find yourself in. Oh, that's fine. Do you have, do you have, uh, that, that, uh, that, that man with the, the books on the,

[01:59:16] on the, on the device? I hate, she just looks to you, it's like, what? LeVar Burton. Videotapes of LeVar Burton. What? Reading Rainbow. Reading Rainbow. Oh, okay, yeah. Talk to Rod. It is a children's show. It is educational. Talk to Rod. All right, yes. I'll, I'll. There's a few, there's a few at Rod's if you want to go pick them up. She really likes them. I'll, I'll call Rod and bring them, and tell him to bring them over. All right. All right.

[01:59:46] Go, go rescue, uh, Kalem. Yeah. We're currently waiting for the car to stop. So, uh, yeah, we had a little time to kill. You're waiting for the car to stop? Okay. Out of game. Okay. Um. Uh, yeah, the, uh. All right, so, Kalem, um, you eventually, you, you come to, as, like, the car does come to a stop. Um. Give him another hit. We can't keep touching him up on the head. We're going to give him brain damage.

[02:00:15] I'm not, I'm not, I'm not making, I'm not giving him any more, like, three points for You've got a role play, Adam. You're going to like it. Um, and you, you are, take a look. It's in a, put him back in. Um, you are, um, uh, grabbed by two people on either side. Uh, you appear to be bound. Um, and, uh, the, the, the back door of the, the, the SUV or the, the, the side door of the SUV opens.

[02:00:42] And, um, you're kind of pushed in or you're, you're pushed out from the seat you're in. Uh, and, um, um, you, uh, hear kind of like muffled sounds of a city. Uh, you hear like the kind of like echoing sounds of like your underground or in some kind of like concrete, um, place. Mm-hmm. Uh, and yeah, you're being kind of like dragged, uh, like just manhandled and dragged to a,

[02:01:09] uh, uh, uh, you, you're, you got, you've been black bagged at this point. So you can't really see a whole lot, but you're, um, you can kind of like see that you're like through the, through the, through it. You can kind of see like the light, the, the sterile lights of, uh, uh, above a, like what looks like an elevator, like a utility elevator or something. Yeah. Yeah. So y'all doing this for like money or something? For lots of money. You can't take it with you, buddy. Uh, they, they don't, they don't respond after that. Um.

[02:01:39] Say what? For no problem. Because that one guy just gets like, just like whacked over the head. Like, like, and like basically like you hear like a shh. Look, man. Help me loose. You let me go right now. We're good. We all make mistakes. If not, then you may be going where you're supposed to go and you ain't gonna be having money with you. So, I mean, these are the options, boys. Like I can't cast the magic for you. That ain't how this works.

[02:02:10] It's not, it's not my blood. This magic is from faith, buddy. And I have no faith in you. Uh, you hear the voice, uh, through the, like kind of through the bag, you hear the voice of that, um, that rep or that representative looking guy. And it's just like, well, Mr. Mr. Blackburn, uh, we will be doing some tests to, to assess that situation. I'm a positive. I'm a positive. You're going to be getting your ass whipped if you ain't careful. Come on. Uh, the, the, the door closes.

[02:02:40] Oh God. That was another shot. No, no. The door of the elevator closes and you start like feeling yourself moving or no moving up. You're moving up. My dad died when we couldn't remember his blood type. He just kept saying, be positive. But it's hard to, without him, though. Uh, a girl from Apera playing, Chris. Uh, yes. This is the Apera Wave version. Yeah.

[02:03:06] Um, and yeah, so, um, uh, we, we kept, but yeah, nothing else there. Cause you're basically getting, like getting strong armed into a, uh, actually I'll say, we'll, we'll end this little scene of like, you, you eventually get up, like, uh, you're not sure how many floors it is. Uh, but eventually like there's a ding and then they, they kind of muscle you in and, uh, they, um, uh, you're, you're kind of brought into a room. Yeah. Um, and, uh, the, eventually the, the black bag is, is taken off of you.

[02:03:36] Um, and, uh, you're, um, you're, you're uncuffed or like un, um, like unbound. And then they, uh, they, uh, they close the door to the, and your room is basically this like, uh, sort of like a, um, uh, like a padded lab cell or like a lab cell. Um, so. Yeah. Okay. I'm just going to start digging through my, sitting there and meditate. Can I, do I get like a prep action thing? Yeah. And here's what I'm doing.

[02:04:04] Like he just kind of, he, he ain't got his book. He had his Bible. Of course, man, I'll beat it into him pretty good. Sometimes literally you beat him with it, but you know, let's you do what you got to do, but he, he's just kind of trying to run through like Bible verses on what he can actually do. Like he's kind of just, you know, numbers, no, no, no, no, no, no. So like, uh, I mean, you don't have to give me a mechanical difference here, but I'm just

[02:04:31] saying that like, he just calmly sits there and just starts just pouring through Bible school. Yeah. Yeah. You, yeah. You're basically just doing that. Um, probably also roll a, um, uh, what would be a good role for like to stay like kind of cool under pressure in this as well. I'm like, what it sounds like to me. Yeah. In this game, there's not really like a cool under pressure kind of role, but like it's, uh, it depends on how he would do it.

[02:05:00] Like if he's focusing on the, uh, focusing on the verses, it'd be one thing. If he's just playing it cool. Yeah. I'd say, I'd say roll intellect to like remember to continue like, like, uh, going through the, uh, the verses to try and stay calm because holy fucking shit, you've just been abducted by some corporation that wants to do tests on you. So three, I'm a cool. I'm a cool in the rain. Yeah.

[02:05:27] You are, you're, you're, you're, the Lord works in mysterious ways. Um, you, you, you have to be a good, uh, you have faith in, in, you have faith in, in him and your friends. Mm-hmm. Uh, probably. And Lizzie too, that person. Yeah. Maybe, maybe, maybe. And Lizzie, I suppose. Isaiah 41. She's confident of what she does. Oh yeah. Well, just remember Isaiah 41. 10. Fear not for I am with you. Be not dismayed for I am your God.

[02:05:56] I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Ooh, that's a good one. Yeah. That's that. Or Hebrews, uh, 13, five. Uh, for he has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we can confidently say the Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me? There's also, as I walked through the valley of the shadow of death. I fear no evil. There's also Hebrews 11. One.

[02:06:22] Now faith is the assert assurance of things hoped for the convention of things not seen. Or Judas priest. You've got another thing. Another thing coming. Yeah. All right. I'm sorry. Go ahead. No, it's okay. Uh, so we, we come back to you guys, um, back in Morehead. Um, so what exactly are you waiting for? You're like waiting for the, um, cause the ritual, the ritual is like pointing the direct, the point in the way of where the, um, the smoking stuff is, or are you waiting for

[02:06:52] the, the pixies to come back on that? I was going to call the pixies back after I gave them a little bit of time. Cause I figured they got to drive somewhere. Stop. And then they get out. Yeah. I'm just going to take the top down on the car. Yep. And just open up those suicide doors. Hop in. And just kind of point towards the passenger seat, look over at less and just, are you sitting up front?

[02:07:20] Lizzie gets to ride in the back. Yeah. So yeah. As we're driving, I'm going to be like Barnabas. Uh, so it's been a couple of hours or like two or three, but probably about two or three hours since, uh, since you found, um, uh, uh, Adam's place, uh, uh, empty. And so, and like, since you found out about the situation and stuff, um, but you call on Barnabas. Yeah. As we're driving, cause I feel like the, the, the smell and the tobacco, that the tobacco smell

[02:07:48] lead us to where he's at pinpointing and he can tell us where he's at, like the building so we can do the infiltration. Uh, yep. Um, well I need you, I do need you to roll me, uh, either, either give me a fate point to, uh, to use that, uh, uh, to use that aspect up or you can, uh, roll, uh, using that aspect or tagged to get a, like get a, get a good, get a good, uh, like good location. I'll burn it. Fuck it. It's less.

[02:08:16] He helped, he helped, uh, he helped bring back Barnabas. He's fine. Okay. Uh, that aspect is no longer there. Like it's being used in the scene. Uh, and yeah, Barnabas, uh, arrives like, uh, after a few, after a few moments, Barnabas, uh, kind of arrives like, Hedge, Hedge, Hedge. Barnabas, reporting. Woo. Sorry. It was long, it was a long flight. That's all right, young man. How you doing? How's the, how's the thing's going?

[02:08:44] Do you have some, do you have some of that sweet neck, sweet carbonated nectar? Uh, yeah, we got a couple in the back there. That, that, ale eight. Yeah, we'd never go anywhere without that. Which, which flavor do you want? Do you want the blackberry? You want the original? You want the orange dream? Orange dream, please. Let me pop that top for you while you, uh, while you catch your breath. All right, yeah, so you give him like a little, like the, you give him the, a little bit in the cap. And he just like downs his, and just like, blah. All right.

[02:09:14] The free folk searched high and low. And we, we managed to track the, that car with that symbol. They went far away to the long, to the, to the, to the, to the, the far off city of humans. Louisville. I think that's how you say it. It's close enough. No one knows how to say it. It's, it's, it's one of the big buildings that defies the sky. Uh, had the same symbol on it.

[02:09:44] Uh, but yes, that, that's where the car, it went under, it went underneath into the dungeon of that, of that, of that keep. Well, you did good, Barnabas. I appreciate you in the fair, in the, the free folk. Any? You did. No, not a problem. Yeah. I, we had, I had a debt, and so my kin carried the load. We share the load. Well, I'll see about getting you guys a few, uh, a few sixers of this, uh, this good old

[02:10:12] L8 for you when we get back, whenever we drag, uh, Kalem back with us. Oh, that'd be, that'd be really good. Also, if you ever want to do a, a jamboree of some kind, uh, the free folk have been itching as well to learn some, uh, some, some, uh, some new instruments and some, and get some practice in. Oh, you betcha. I've been telling them about, I've been telling them about my fiddling lessons. Oh, yeah. You betcha. Did you tell them about the concert we put on? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah, man. Yeah, we're going to do that. Yeah. We're definitely going to do that.

[02:10:41] You, you figure out what, uh, what instruments they want to play and, uh, we'll make it happen. You start thinking of a name for us. We'll, uh, we'll, we'll definitely make it happen. All right. All right. I'm, I'm going to go. Take a nap. Here, take this, take his bottle with you if you can, if you can handle it. Uh, he just like, he like, he like looks at it, like just towering over me. He just like, he's like, just like whistle, like puts two fingers in his mouth, whistles and like a small swarm, not, not like the whole swarm, but like a mob of, of pixies just

[02:11:11] kind of show up and help like lift this, this one AL8 into the, into the air and like wobble it, wobble it into the woods nearby. I just salute as they leave. That is the strangest thing I have seen today. Yeah. We see some strange shit, don't we, Baron? That we do. Yeah. So it appears that the Caduceus, uh, pharmaceuticals has a headquarters, has an office, uh, in Louisville. All right, Baron, we got one of two ways.

[02:11:39] We can either go the quick way or we can drive there. Or the, the, the, the in-between way where you're driving the quick way. That is also true. Well, I can hit 180 miles an hour with this. Although it's not safe to do that on these roads. I'm game to try. Well, I will say, I will tell you guys, it's about two hours and 18 minutes, uh, uh, driving

[02:12:07] 137 miles from Moorhead to Louisville. So according to Google Maps. But if you can do faster. If you can go faster. And not get caught. Yeah. I say we just kind of pop our way, uh, close to the building. Um, obviously not in the building, but they can probably do a lot to our friend in a couple hours. So I don't want to, uh, time, time is kind of money here. So, uh, Lizzie, you game or do you want to drive for some reason?

[02:12:38] Again, you people think I'll kill the car. I won't. Oh, not this one. All right. I just, they still work. I just opened up a portal. I'm like, you guys coming? Stepping through already. Get in losers. We're going to save a friend. That's right. Get in. We're going to Louisville. Yeah. The home of Kentucky fried chicken. And the baseball bat factory, which I'm going to go beat the shit out of something with a baseball bat. You get stopped.

[02:13:07] Like you like pull into an alley, like next to it and then grab that and then go back out. And then pop. I want it. Yeah. Actually, I feel like stepping into the souvenir shop and just one for you, one for you, one for you. Um, just look at the, um, so here's one of the things about bats actually is that they will measure you and hand you the right length bat, especially at that bat factory. They'll go, yeah, it's supposed to be X long for your height.

[02:13:37] So I could see them just kind of going, no, you don't want that one. That one's too long for you. And the bear just growling or not. I like this one. He tells me how it is. Okay. Yeah. No, you guys do that. Uh, I just think that's funny. So yeah, that'll be, you go there. Um, and then, yeah, you, uh, you see kind of like amongst the, the city skyline, even like as you're like, when you're getting out of the, uh, the, the, the slugger factory,

[02:14:06] um, you, you see like, uh, looming over, looming over you, like a, like a, like the, the tower of Orthanc, um, like beyond a couple of, of the other skyscrapers and buildings of Louisville. There is a, uh, there is an office building that, let's say that has the logo of, of Caduceus pharmaceuticals. How did this was here? None of us looked this up. It's a big, no one, no one thought, no one thought to look it up online. Weird.

[02:14:33] Like I was, I was expecting to say, oh, maybe I'll, I'll let them like, oh, can we like, maybe we'll search up like with this Caduceus pharmaceutical. No one looks it up. No, we did a ritual to do something. We could have Googled in about 30 seconds. I'm sorry. Googled. Yeah. That's right. At least Josh has an excuse. Exactly. And technically so does the, the Baron. Yeah. What? You expect me to know how your computer works? Like I have a goddamn smartphone. Why did I not think of this?

[02:15:03] To be fair, mine is an Nokia. This thing takes a beating. Okay. So, well, I have a landline back in my place. Yep. I was like, uh, I've been hanging out with you guys too long. I just, oh, I want magic. When everything looks like a hammer or when everything, when you have, when you have magic, everything looks like a nail. Yeah. Hey guys, don't feel bad. I didn't even think of it either. Of course, I'm out of this. Oh, don't worry. I did. I thought of it. I didn't say anything, but I thought of it.

[02:15:33] Love you, Josh. You're the best. Why would I bring it up? Lizzie knows nothing about this Google you speak of. Now, here's the question. Was I a dick for not like suggesting it or? No. Oh, no. That was perfect. Yeah. Cause I was like waiting. I was like, okay, I guess you guys are going to do it the hard, the hard way. No, no, this is perfect. We're all idiots. We're like magic solves everything. I'm going to rub magic on it. I'm going to perform some kind of like. I put that shit on everything. I'm going to perform some ritual.

[02:16:01] It's like, I got, I got an easy ritual. It's called Google. It says, hello, Siri. Like I even gave you guys like it's Caduceus Pharmaceuticals. Yeah. It's on a brand. It's on an SUV. That's. I was even thinking. I wonder if we can just go like, you know, to the town library. They might have records or, you know, maybe a fucking phone book. Yeah. The number might be in there, but I can't see Adam having a phone book.

[02:16:33] They sent. I don't think they make them anymore. Yeah, they do. Josh, I just got one two weeks ago. I'm someone. You're robot. If I had known that, I probably would have suggested it. Yeah. I'm sorry. I stepped out of the room. I made a reference to the jerk. Like we got a phone book last week, Josh. I'm someone. Yeah. I pop out of the portal and I'm like, motherfucker. Yeah. It's not even out of the portal. You're like, you're walking out of the, the, the, the bat factory.

[02:17:00] And you're just like, like walking back to the alleyway that you hit me the portal. And then you're just like, fuck. He's looking up at the skylight, just like droop. It's like, oh shit. We got an anime character. He's got like the depressed waves over his head and he's got the anime depressed waves. Yeah. So you just go into a corner of depression. I'm just like, but yeah.

[02:17:26] So how are you guys proceeding to, to get to the conduct, conduct, yeah. Now I can't say the word. Conducting office of Caduceus. Caduceus pharmaceuticals. Yeah. Through the front door. Oh, that was going to be my. Are you guys just going to like, are you guys just like, just Dresden style? Just whip, like break through the front door. It's like, where's our friend? That was actually going to be my suggestion. I mean, if it ain't really. Oh my God.

[02:17:56] Okay. First off, before you guys go to do the, you're like, so front door, we cut away to Adam. It's not broken. So, so Adam, you're, you've been like sitting there for like, you're not sure how long, probably like maybe a half hour or so. Yeah. Yeah. Um, and, uh, then the door, like kind of, you hear like a click on the door and, uh, two guys, uh, two, two, two very large guys, uh, like kind of step in, uh, followed by

[02:18:22] a, a woman in a lab outfit, um, and a syringe, um, comes in. And it's like, uh, now, now, uh, now Mr. Blackburn, uh, we're, uh, we're just going to take some blood. So we need to run some tests. Uh, these nice gentlemen will, uh, will restrain you if you won't cooperate. I think I've already got blood. And then I just kind of hold my hands that rebound in front of me up.

[02:18:48] And you see that I've worked the ropes or they're, my wrists are bleeding and it's down there. And I say, honey, in Judges 15, 14, the Lord, uh, you know, when talking about Samson, he said, the thing says, when he came to Lehi, the Philistines came shouting to meet him. Um, then the spirit of the Lord rushed upon him and the ropes that were on his arms became its flax. That has caught fire in his bonds melted off his hands.

[02:19:16] So I'm casting a spell. Okay. Uh, the gentlemen are going to try and stop you. That's fine. They can do that. Yeah, I'm going to roll a haste. Uh, they are mundane. So you are, you are technically a shift above them. Uh, so. So don't you automatically get like a plusing? Yeah, I think, uh, ships, uh, let me see that. I actually have the quick reference here, uh, for scales.

[02:19:41] Uh, so supernatural, um, you can, uh, uh, each for each scale, uh, for each level of scale you have, you can have one of the, one of these benefits take plus one on a roll of, uh, for an action, take an additional two shifts of effects, uh, after the roll, if you succeed, um, add an extra free invoke to an, uh, to an, uh, to an advantage you create. I have no idea what would be the best thing for that then. Hmm.

[02:20:11] So really I was just, uh, they're, they're bearing down on me. Yeah. They're coming down on you like really quick. So. All right. So as you're trying to do your, your spell. Okay. So I guess, but I had been prepping for that. So you have been. So I, yeah, I will actually say that I will, I will let you have a plus two at least because like you've kind of been waiting for this moment. Okay. All right. Let me go ahead. I was trying to see if I could, what were you, I guess, real focused.

[02:20:41] This is probably gonna be focused. Yeah. Just like, like, can you do this fast or like, can you do this? Like, can you stay concentrated as two, two muscle bound, like linebacker, like guys just kind of come barreling at you. So I get a plus two. So how do I add plus two to the row? Um, you can just add it. Like you can just add a post. Yeah. All right. It'd be five posts. Five. And then are you, uh, you do get to choose one of those other options for the scale.

[02:21:07] Um, so plus one to your role or, uh, you'd take two shifts of effect. So basically like that just means like, if you're like, it basically doubles the, it would like add two to the damage if it was an attack kind of thing. Yeah. I mean, I'm kind of bursting loose swinging. So yeah, I'll go plus two to the damage. Okay. All right. Uh, so yeah, they, they do not get past, uh, they do not get to you in time, uh, with their plus three.

[02:21:34] Um, so, and you're basically, you've got a plus five and then, um, so you could technically do, so you know, you would do two. Shift, but you're actually doing four shift of effect, uh, after the role. So what are you doing? Yeah. So what are you, what are you doing with that spell? Sorry. I'm the, I, well, with the spell, like when he breaks loose, like, I mean, they just kind of, you know, the ropes almost like dissolved from his hands.

[02:22:03] Like run away, like from as if by fire. Yeah. As if by fire. And then like, he's kind of, you know, say his hands are bound in front of his, uh, like abdomen. He raises his hands up and like the, like the sparks, the fires, the embers or whatever you want to call that disco, it blinds the people running toward him. Okay. And I would like to grab their needle and stab them with it and put them to sleep. They, well, they didn't have needles.

[02:22:33] They just had like, they're just going to grab you, uh, and restrain you. I'm going to knock shit out of them. The, the woman at the door that had the needle and like, like in the lab coat, she, she also gets blind and she, you can see that she's trying to like, like she fell to the ground and is trying to like get outside and like go for, for something. Uh, she's also shouting though. So, but. Was it basically like a flashbang that went off in their face? Cause they're going to be disoriented. Oh yeah. No, yeah. The two, I'm going to say like with a flat, if it is like a holy flashbang kind of thing. Yeah.

[02:23:01] The, uh, the two muscle guys. Yeah. The two muscle guys are like, God. And then they ended up just like crashing into like each other and like knocking each other out basically with that, with that shift, with that four shift. Yeah. They're, they're knocked out. They basically just crack their heads on each other as they, uh, as they were coming at you. So. I mean. During this whole process, he's, it's not. Rage that fuels him. So it's not like he's in a curb stomper or anything like that, but. Yeah.

[02:23:31] Well, she is shouting out into the hallway. It's like security, security. She's like trying to like, like see, like she, she's obviously blind by the light. Um, and, but she's trying to scramble over to like, uh, uh, to something from on the other side of the wall. Um, but yeah. Oh. The gas floods into the room. Well, I guess I'm gonna go out there and put my hand over her mouth and drag her back in the room. Okay. Roll, uh, roll a. Haste to do that. To get that to be. I am not a hasty guy, but we'll see how this works.

[02:24:01] Yeah. Oh, fuck. They are mundane. So. Yeah. They are mundane. So you do. But he's using something. You're also doing. Yeah. You are technically doing something mundane. So yeah. It equals it. Yeah. Magical knockout. Haste. Is that too? Right? Yep. Three. Damn. Okay. Yeah. You, you, you managed to get her. It was like, secure. And she just like, like, like, uh, nobody, like somebody like looking, like, looking the other way.

[02:24:30] And like in the background, you just see her like hands. They're like, she like tries to get in. Then you just see like a hand grab her by, by the mouth and just like pull her back into the room. And then I'm like a horror movie. Yeah. Basically. And then I'm going to sit her down. And then she's, yeah, she's just like, she's trying to like flail at you. Cause she's like, she's still like, uh, awake, like awakened and aware. Um, uh, but she's, um, she's blind currently still. Like she's, she's temporarily blind by the light.

[02:24:59] I'm going to move my hand. I mean, I am not going to hurt you. You have been poisoned by the greed that your company perpetuates and you're a victim of as much as anyone else. I am going to get up and I'm going to walk out of this building. This is how it works. This is not, I'm not a mutant. I'm not an X man. Like, I mean, I'm kind of a universal donor. I think a positive or whatnot, but, uh, you know, it's about me on that.

[02:25:29] Don't worry about that. It's the Lord that does this. Not me. I am, but the instrument, I think. Anyway, you be quiet. And I like, well, he's kind of got her, um, wait, wait. He's kind of got his hand over her mouth. I'm going to kind of see if I can step around in one of the, uh, guards. Hope, see if they got like a side holster. Oh yeah. They've got, uh, they've got, um, uh, guns. All right. I'm going to grab a gun. And I'm guessing.

[02:25:59] Oh yeah. Probably Glock nine or Glock 40. I mean, I think nine's actually better. They weren't, they weren't going to use them. Like, because like they, again, they're just like, they're basically the, the guys that like muscle around the, the page, like their, their subjects and stuff. Yeah. So I'm, what happens when I stand up and step away? Well, I need you to roll a flare to convince her to, to not say, shout. Well, I have a zero in flare. So it'd also be forced. Like, he's like, you need to sit down and you need to be quiet. The way he's been doing it though.

[02:26:29] He's been very calm. Very like he, the way he's been, he was role-playing it. It was very calm. And like, like I'm with the, I don't, I'm with the Lord. You are a victim here. Like that feels more like a, kind of like a, like a, not like a, it's sort of a charm or like a flare to me. All right. Well, let's let the Lord decide on my role here, boys. I mean, force can be force of will. Yeah. That's also true. You know what? That's fair. That gives me a plus one. And I also just made magic happen in front of her eyes. That, that is also true.

[02:26:58] That, which would be flare technically, but not kidding. Cause it was a flash bang. That's what you use for magic. I use force for magic. But it was a flash bang. Yeah. I think force of will, especially when you're talking about. I will, I will, I will allow the, I will allow the force because you did point that out. That's like a force of will. You know what? Let's, let's see. Uh, hold on. Give me one. See Adam. And that was Josh suggesting that too. Yeah. Look, like me and Josh.

[02:27:22] Look, when, when me and Josh play together, we just had this naturally antagonistic kind of thing. It's developed. We choose opposites. We really do. But like he's, we're full characters to each other. Whatever we play in, it's just, I'm going to be the opposite of him. It's kind of like what I do with Chris Hammond. So it's, it's, you know, it's the same thing. Uh, I'm, I'm just looking for a verse. Cause I actually want to, um, uh, I sent you a couple.

[02:27:50] It's going to be like a bring peace or something like that, or like, or a salvation, some kind of line or something. Yeah. Yeah. Actually, uh, hold on. Let me find it. Let my people go. Like, I'll be honest with you. I'll, I didn't, when I set out to do this character, I did not know that I basically, I mean, look, I think the ultimate fate character is a boy scout, because if you've seen all the stuff that the boy scouts have to learn, like they would be like an excellent one, but like the

[02:28:20] Bible just has so much. And it is fitting for like, again, like the, the locations of it. Yeah. And the Bible. For your character. Yeah. Uh, so, and as he steps away, I'm going to actually touch her with, uh, I've had my hand on my mouth, on her mouth. And unfortunately. Bloody hands. My bloody hand is on her mouth. And I go, it's, and you will be like, and you will be like Saul, ma'am.

[02:28:49] Saul that was blinded. Uh, Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes, he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus. You will have a change of heart from this experience, son. So I'm actually wanting to burn a fate point. Okay. If that would actually make that like, I mean, she was nonviolent and I'm not seeking to control her. I'm not seeking to do anything. I'm seeking. It's almost like the ghost rider.

[02:29:16] You know how he could do the, like the soul stare kind of there, but like only on the, on the guilty basically. Yeah. And she's going to see her in equity. And then maybe in her own personal life, she is going to change. Okay. Yeah. No, don't, you don't have to roll that at all. If you're burning a fate point. Yeah. I had five. So. Yeah. You've been, you've been building up a pool. So. And I, and I honestly don't feel like it's in my character just to go through that entire place and just waylace the people. That's not.

[02:29:46] Yeah. You are probably going to like, yeah. Once you leave this room, you are probably going to do some like steal thing to get away. But, um, yeah, yeah. She, you, yeah. You, uh, you say that and there's like a flare, um, uh, under where your hand is over her face and like her kind of blindness. She starts like blinking a little bit more and just kind of starts looking at you in awe. Um, and she just kind of keeps quiet. Um, just kind of sits there in awe at you as you, as you walk out of the room.

[02:30:16] Sits in quiet contemplation. Yeah. Just kind of like maybe, maybe folds up her, her, her, her knees, but that's about it. Like, yeah. Yeah. Well, you've, you've given me a lot of wanted out this scenario today. Thank you. That was, it's been fun. I hope to see you guys later. No, fine. Yeah. So we kind of, so, so, uh, yeah, actually give me, give me one roll just to see how stealthy you are in the initial, uh, attempt. Oh, it's probably going to be like me when I'm video games, whatever. It's like a stealth mission.

[02:30:45] It's like, well, that's an option really. If you eliminate everybody, what is it? Would that be focus or? Uh, no, that'd be guile. Oh God. I did. Modern two. Yeah. Modern two. Let's see what the, uh, how the security guys go with. Roll good. So we kind of wait to the front lobby. Uh, so what are you guys doing up and down the front lobby? I'm going to let them make us think.

[02:31:13] I'm just walking right in the front door, bat over my shoulder. Okay. I am also walking in sword drawn. Okay. I have the sword. I am also extending my power out as far as I can. So I am tripping every electronic that comes in contact. Yeah. Lights are, lights are flickering. Um, alarms go off for a moment and then just die. Um, so you triple arm. I'm just going to stride right through the chaos.

[02:31:43] Yeah. The first time that a security guard tries to say anything, I'm going to say, you have something of mine. And I want him back. Yeah. Two, two security guards, uh, show come like, like certainly like heading over. It's like, sir, sirs, uh, sir, ma'am. I am going to boomerang that Louisville slugger off of the first guy and into the second. Okay. Roll it. Come on, Dave buckets. He's come. He's making a comeback.

[02:32:13] Rush. Another Panther. There's a Dave buckets in every universe. He'll wrestle a Panther in the last one. He'll wrestle a Panther in this one. Yep. Oh, but that'd be right. Call it haste? Yeah. Oh, I said Dave buckets, not Chuck buckets. Yeah. Okay. Or force. Would force work? Yeah. For, yeah. That, that, uh, force, force would also work. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Depends on if you're going faster, hitting hard. Well, you rolled intellect. Um, where Panther? Oh, right. Yeah. Oh, okay.

[02:32:44] Uh, okay. So is that just a two? Um, you know what? I will burn a fate point to turn it into a four. Okay. And also do we get any shifts because we're not. Yeah. They are mortals. Yeah. Yeah. He's mortals. You guys, well, you're, you're a supernatural. Are you using supernatural strength or anything like that? Or I guess that. Yeah. Then yeah. Um, yeah. Uh, so you can get a plus one to your role or like add the two shifts for effects after the role.

[02:33:11] If you succeed, uh, or add an extra free invoke to an advantage. So you can also use this to create an advantage, like cowing the, the, the ground floor, like security and like, or like, uh, like, let's go for creating the advantage of cowing the ground floor security. And I'll still burn the fate point because I am making an entrance. Yeah. He's like, sir, ma'am. So good. Just like, like, just like a, just a, and he just goes up into the air and then lands hard on his back.

[02:33:40] Like, like a few feet away. You see her left in the background going, he could be, it could, should be. It is. Oh, yeah. Catch that bat on the rebound. Yeah. Look at the next one and say, I don't like to repeat myself. Yeah. He just sort of like drops his, like, yeah, you, uh, the, the girl who was on the phone, like, and like the, the phone sparks as she was trying to call somebody.

[02:34:10] Uh, she, she's like, she ducks it down underneath the, the, the, the reception desk. The other security guard is just like drops his gun and just like puts his hands up and and like Neil takes a, takes a knee. Where do you keep your hostages? What? You've taken my man hostage. Where is he? Tell me now. I don't know.

[02:34:36] The, the, the lab, uh, like, uh, the, the, I think we got labs and subjects and like patients and stuff that up a couple of floors, like volunteer stuff. Say, uh, Baron, uh, little man told me that they drove down into a dungeon. I'm going to assume that's down. Where is your dungeon? Dungeon? You mean like the, the parking garage? Are you going to make me repeat myself? Take the elevator, sub floor two.

[02:35:05] He's just like pointing like frantically at like a nearby elevator. Uh, there are other people in the, in the, in the lobby that have just like dropped like to the ground. Like this is like, like the goddamn bank of heist and you just shot, shot up the place. Like they're just, they're terrified by your very like presence. Good. They should be. Um, all right. So are you taking the elevator then? Or wait, elevator? I'd have to stop using magic.

[02:35:35] Yeah. They still work. I'm sure they got stairs. I probably shorted the fucking speakers on it. Hey, maybe the lights would flicker, but it works. You see, you see a wall, a water cooler. Hang on guys. Dose. I'm sure they got stairs. Yeah. There, there's also a, there's also a staircase, uh, next nearby as well. As we're walking by, excuse me, young man, do you guys happen to have a records room? Like I'd like to go there. Um, I think that's a few floors, uh, like, uh, 24. Well, that's way up there.

[02:36:05] Uh, okay, cool. Thank you. See what you need for, Joe? Is it like a skyscraper? Like how many, how many floors does a skyscraper usually have? Like if they own the whole skyscraper as many as they want. All right. We'll say this is like a 30. Yeah. We'll say this is a 30 floor skyscraper. So yeah. 20th floor. Yeah. You've been pointed in two directions down and up. I'll say you've seen, uh, you've seen movies. Generally, uh, bad guys are going to have them down in the lower dungeons trying to steal.

[02:36:35] So, you know, I don't generally have a penthouse suite that they're going to be torturing people. You never know though. But all right. I'm just going to go down the stairs. Yeah. Okay. Um, anybody give me, uh, as you guys are getting into the, the, the elevator order, uh, roll me an intellect. Anyone or everyone? Everyone, everyone here. Except for Adam. But yeah. One. I got a three. Four.

[02:37:01] Uh, Lester and, and Ulrich, you do see the receptionist just quickly scurrying across the lobby to the front door. Hoping that you will not see her. Say, ma'am, can you not do that? Please. She just drops and like puts her hands over her head on her head. Seriously. Just like. I'm trying to be civil here. There's a slight squeak as she like, as she like, she skids a little bit on the tile. We're going to have to do this the hard way, aren't we? We don't want to be mean.

[02:37:30] I don't like doing this the hard way. Everybody in this lobby, where is your nearest lockable conference room? You, fat one, tell me now. It's, it's just over, like he like points over, like behind like the, the reception area. There's like a little, like a hallway with some doors. And he points to like the far, like left, like the second left, second last door on the left. Everyone. Okay.

[02:37:56] You, you, you, you rally up, uh, roll, somebody rolls some kind of intimidating thing to like rally them up and like make them properly cooperate in there. Uh, you can tag that free, uh, you can, oh, you can get that free aspect or, um, uh, plus two, um, to, to get, like, get them into, uh, into that, uh, uh, into that, uh, conference room. David, you just need to take the aspect all out of bubble gum. Yeah.

[02:38:24] I'm just going to say, I, I've already made my feelings clear about repeating myself. Okay. I'm going to say, look, y'all are just, y'all are just in a, in a bad situation. So that's a three with the aspect tag for free. Um, and then shifts because supernatural, I, I'm, I'm using my scary cat voice. Yeah. You start, you, you, you, a little bit of the, the, the rowling panther sound kind of comes through a little bit.

[02:38:54] Uh, and that cows most of the, that cows, the, the, the, the, the more defiant of the dozen, uh, people that were in on this floor. Um. I said, look, none of this has anything to do with you guys. We're going to be in and out. That's all we got to do. Anybody going to close, like, it's all, it's not really a locking door. Like, it's got like a small, it's got like a measly locking mechanism. Uh, can I use gal to figure out how to jam the lock to the point they can't get it open? Sure.

[02:39:22] It's basically like jamming a penny in it. I mean. Yeah. I got a three. You find a, uh, an old, you find one like a nearby like fire hose and just kind of like wrap it around. Yeah. Take a lock, jam shit in it so it doesn't, so there's no way to unlock it. I mean. Yep. Yep. And then you guys go back to the elevator and start going down or up? No. Up is the records where they're keeping all of our, I'm going to assume all of our faces. Down is more than likely where we're, well, actually no.

[02:39:51] Where's our scent telling us where he's at? Damn it. We've got a whole ass ritual. Yeah, yeah. For a reason. The scent is pointing up. Google. Google it, Jeremy. Google would have not told me where he's at. The scent is strongest going, like when you look up. All right. Up it is. Into the elevator. We're going to the highest floor. And then we're going to work our way down. Oh. Actually, it's easy.

[02:40:21] We just smell at every floor as we go past. And when we hit the right one, we pull the emergency stop. Fair enough. That's clever. I like that. We just hit every button like an elf. Yeah. It stops at every floor. Nope. Yeah. Nope. Nope. Nope. All right. Um, so. That'll take forever. My way's quicker. Adam. My way's funnier. So as the elevator door closes, uh, it cuts, we cut away to Adam, uh, running for his life

[02:40:47] from, from authority, from, from people who are shooting at you on the floor that you're on. Um, it doesn't appear to be like bullets, but they're shooting like dark. They have, they appear to have like some kind of like dark guns. Boys, y'all brought the wrong gun to the gunfight. Actually. Yeah. Yeah. Might have darts too. Yours also have darts. It looks, they look like locks, but they're actually dart guns, but they've got, uh, they've got, uh, dart rounds in them. How many of them are there?

[02:41:18] Shooting me. Uh, there's two, two, two other security guys. That's like, uh, and they're, they're radio. You can hear them like radioing, but then like one of them was like, ow, what the fuck? Like getting a whole lot of static from downstairs. Fuck. Uh, I was like, yeah, it's like, sir. But I was like, please let stop resisting. Let us shoot you. So when I tag an aspect, what does that mechanically do? Again, it's been a while. It gives you a plus two. Uh, so you spend a fate point and you get a plus two on the aspect.

[02:41:47] So I am a vet, but I'm also a vet vet, vet, vet, vet, vet, vet. So I would like to, once I ran a corner, find a good, like maybe not a doorway, but kind of like a threshold kind of into another doorway. I'm just going to kind of run around there, post up. And when they round the corner, I'm going to dart dart. Just like fucking Saigon. You're a little young for that. You're, you're a little young for that one. Yeah. Like, so it's like, is this just like an Iraq? No.

[02:42:17] Yeah. Helsinki all over again. Oh God. So for shooting someone with a gun, what is that? That is going to be a force. Oh God. That's one. Or haste if you're shooting fast. I would also say haste if you're shooting fast. Force is like the default. Haste if you're shooting fast. Intellect or no, focus if you're, if you're aiming, like taking time to aim. Intellect if you're timing your shots and trying to hit a certain spot. Yeah. Like it's basically, again, flare if you're like, I know, I know.

[02:42:47] It's a leer. Yeah. It's just like gun, some fucking bullshit. Christian Bale gun foo bullshit. Yeah. You know, I seen it in a movie once. Let's go. Let's go. Let's do this. Focus at my best, but I want to shoot two at one time. So it seems like a haste. That'd be, that'd probably be, no, um, that'd probably be. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If you do. Yeah. Shooting fast. Yeah. I can, I can, I'll get, I'll give it to you. All right. So that'd be three with my plus two.

[02:43:18] All right. Let's see how they do. And I'll take my fate port down to one. I'm at three now. Oh, um. Spending them. So yeah. Uh, yeah. Where are you shooting them exactly? Center mass. Center mass. Okay. Yeah. It's just like, and it's like, oh, fuck. Oh, they just like both just drop. It's like, what professionals that are not even wearing vests?

[02:43:46] Well, you don't really expect that. I guess they're not a SWAT team. Depending on their corporate security, but like, depending on the best day, a needle would go through it anyway. Yeah. I'm going to go up to one of the bodies, grab another gun, tuck it behind in my back of my waistband. Yeah. But, uh. It goes off when you do it there. I shot myself right in the ass so that I'll just fall asleep. Ugh. We found Caleb. You want a favorite? Adam? No.

[02:44:15] God, that's, Chris, that's a joke. You can't do that. I can't. I can and I will. I can. And I am God. That's even silly for us. I just think it would be really funny if he just got knocked out and then like, there's a certain scene I have in mind, but yeah, if you don't want to. No, it's fine. I'll take that paint point. Shit. Why is he taking a nap? Ugh. Hey guys, there's a dart in his ass.

[02:44:43] Okay, so you guys get up to the third floor, to the 30th floor, the top floor. Eventually. Eventually. And it does seem like the scent is still up, still up, still up. You get to the 30th floor and it's slightly up. Is he on the roof? Oh, fuck. How'd he get on the roof?

[02:45:05] So you guys come running out of the elevator and you see the nearest roof access, which seems to be open. Up we go. And you get up and they're on a helicopter pad. They are, there's several agents putting him into a helicopter. I'm going to have that. And the helicopter is taking off. I'm curling it at the base of the rotor blades with as much force as I can.

[02:45:35] All right. Lizzie. The only thing I can do is fucking hit it with magic and that's, oh boy. It's not, it's still on the helipad. It's just like the, the rotors are getting ready to go. And so that, and they haven't like, they're still, they're in the process of putting him, putting his body into the, into the, into the, the body of it. So yeah. Sorry. What was that? I saw that. I heard that blip. So that was a, yeah. A total of two. Well, I get the shifts. Do I not?

[02:46:04] You, you get a shift. Yeah. Okay. So that'll be. You get the two shifts. Sorry. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah. That'll be a four then. Um, yeah, it, it does start gumming up the, the, the, the, the rotors. Uh, and then they start, then they notice that what's going on and they pull out guns and start shooting at you guys. I'm advancing. Just to say I was already closing the distance as, uh, David threw the bat. Yeah. Yeah.

[02:46:31] You guys, um, you guys are going to make, want to make some kind of roll to avoid the, um, the gun or the, the. I assume. Do we not get some type of surprise round? Cause they were distracted. I'll give you guys a plus two on your roll. Okay. On that. Um. Cause I imagine they also would have. I would like to point out that is adorable that you think that I am trying to avoid the bullets. They're not bullets. Oh, that is adorable that you think that I am trying to avoid the darts.

[02:46:59] I'm just going full sprint right through them because their darts are calibrated for a human dose. That is fair. Yeah. And I rolled to shit. That means you even out. Yes. I know. That means it's a zero right now. Cause yeah, I have the plus two. Uh, I use the fucking shift. So another two. Okay. And I would fucking, uh, tap not my first rodeo to make it four. Okay.

[02:47:28] So the bonus of the two to just power through, um, that's actually going to be an eight to to just take the darts. Take the darts to the chest and just get mad angry cat, just bigger. So the more darts that hit me, the bigger I get. And the more feral you become. Yeah. Fucking porcupine. Um, and what are you doing there? Lester? Sorry. It's like his, uh, human half is going to sleep in the. Yeah.

[02:47:55] His human form is going to sleep and he's, he's getting more of a, a, a wolf man or a cat man. Um, I want to. Just like our orcs, Chris. I know. It's just like our, our big dumb buff orc, uh, cat orcs from our game. Cat girls. Yeah. Yeah. Cat girl orcs. Since they're, yeah. The tomato orcs. No, the ones that meet. Oh, the cat orcs. Yeah. Yeah. Um, I want to affect the gravity since they're really light darts. I want to make them just off trajectory or just drop basically.

[02:48:25] Yeah. That's a seven. Do it as you will. Oh, fucking damn. Then that, you know what? Unfortunately that negates, uh, any kind of thing. So like, here's the thing. Uh, I rolled minus four. Fuck. So none of them were hitting you anyway. I just want to see how like things were going to play out for you guys. Wow. So even more, it's just like, they just like, they, they, they left the gun and hit the ground. Well, here's, here's my question. Yeah.

[02:48:54] I just rolled a seven with a supernatural shift. That's a, what? A two shift up or a plus eight, which is legendary. Can I just ground the helicopter? Yeah. No, I was going to say that like, honestly, like with that, with that much power, like kind of like barking off this roof, um, you see like sparks on the, on like the, the, the uh, the rooftop, um, air conditioner, like that just goes off, uh, sparks fly off of like a transformer on the, on the building.

[02:49:22] The, um, the, the, the, the, the, yeah, the whole, the whole, um, uh, helicopter just like stops, just dies. That's when I ample my, amplify my voice and be like, you have our friend. We want him back. I'm grabbing the bigger of the two guards, pulling him directly into my predator breath face. Yeah. And just huffing right on him and going, that's mine.

[02:49:51] Yeah. Yeah. Sure. You, you can have him back. Fuck. He's just like, not sure what he's looking at. Uh, and just terrified. What do you mean the gravity? Well, that'll take care of it. Um, you do see inside, uh, I will say since you're, you're closest, probably, um, uh, Baron, uh, you see in the, um, uh, in the, in the helicopter itself, like, uh, like basically

[02:50:19] near, like the part of, of, uh, of, uh, of, of Kalem that was, that was being put into the helicopter, uh, is that representative, um, that you saw on the, in the video on, uh, on, on Kalem's camera or on Kalem's phone. And he's just like staring off. It's like, oh fuck. Like he done fucked up. I'm going to grab him out of the cop helicopter. I feel like he's going to do a 30 story swan dive here soon. I'm going to hold him over the edge of the building.

[02:50:49] Yeah. He starts screaming just like, and like slap buttering. Now I have been told. I can give you anything. I can give you, we got, we have all the kinds of, ah, I'm talking. I have been told that when I am angered, I can be a very, very scary individual. He silently nodded.

[02:51:12] And it falls to me when dealing with you people to try to control my anger. Now I want you to understand that this right here is the level of control that I am capable of. He's frankly nodding. Being a civilized, calm, collected individual is an effort.

[02:51:43] Being a raging, throat tearing monster comes extremely easily to me. Are you like slightly shifting as this is happening too? Oh yes. Like there's aspects of your, of your fair, your animal side just kind of kicking in? Yeah. Like the eyes are just totally green, slit pupils, and they are just narrowing. Are you staring directly into his eyes? Not yet. Okay. The teeth are about as pointy as they can get. Yeah.

[02:52:13] And still be, you know, hurt around. So I want you to take a message to your masters. That is mine. My domain is in violet. If you cross my domain again, I will become angry. Today. Squint says you're like, like you're spattering like saliva on him in his face.

[02:52:42] Today is miffed. Do you want to see anger, little man? Frantically shaking no. Would. God. Tell them. And I am going to pull him back just enough to where when I drop him, he's going to feel like he's going to fall several stories, but land on the roof. Yeah. He just like, and then like basically like loses all, loses control of his legs and just like,

[02:53:09] and just kind of, um, falls forward, like on the roof to his knees. And it just starts like retching. I have granted you mercy today. Yeah. He's just staying like low to the ground, like in a postulating. Everybody gets one. If I am feeling generous, that is the extent of the mercy I will extend to Caduceus. Tell me you understand.

[02:53:37] While he's like on the ground, basically in almost like a bowing state. He is like shaking, like basically like almost hammering his face like into the ground as he's trying to nod frantically. Tell me. Use your words. Yes. Yes. I'll tell them. Do we have an accord? Yes. Yes. Just don't kill me. I will leave now. And there will be no further repercussions from today. Yeah.

[02:54:06] He just is quivering. You can smell the ammonia. He's, he's definitely sold himself. Most of these, most of these agents have sold themselves. I've just got to calmly walk over to Caleb. Caleb has sold himself. I've got to pull the cart. Does he have a lectured in? What? Is he kind of a lectured in there? No, no. But like, he's like, he was, he was bound again. And they were basically just like, like loading him on a stretch, like kind of like a stretcher.

[02:54:34] But like, he's not like, his face isn't like closed up or anything like that. I'm going to look at the closest, uh, look at the closest goon. Yep. You see, you see the pilot inside the cockpit, just like, like sees that you see, like look, look his direction. He like slowly, like he, he jerks down a little bit to try and like hide in the cockpit. I'm going to pop a claw out. You know what?

[02:55:01] He's probably feeling some G-forces right now as I'm slowly crushing a helicopter. Yeah. Yeah. I'm just going to pop index finger claw out and just slice through the bonds. Pull the dart out of Caleb. Oh, there was no dart in, in, in Caleb at that point. But yeah. Just throw him across the shoulder. Just the mouth of mine. Yeah. I want to walk over to the, uh, to the representative while he's groveling currently and be like,

[02:55:30] young man, while you're being, uh, amenable, you had pictures on my man there. Where are those? Where are your records kept? Level 20. Like 20th floor, 20th floor. That's where our servers are. Is that the only ones? You got backups anywhere? Cause I, I want to know. Make a guile. I see. I have a new job. That's a five. If you don't, if you don't walk into the 20th floor, my job is done. Yeah. Sorry.

[02:55:59] Uh, what was that? What was your earlier? That's a five. Five? Plus the two shifts. So that'll be a seven. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, level, level 27 labs. There's some, there's some, uh, there's some data on the, on the, on the terminals. Say, are you sure that's all? As I look over at the helicopter, as it's slowly getting, being crushed like a ball. Yeah. The, at this point, the, uh, the, the one pilot that's still in it is trying, is like

[02:56:27] frantically trying to, he jumps out, like in a sluggish manner. It's like, just like, as he like cut his, he had to cut the, his own strap, um, to get out of the, uh, the cockpit as it crushed. Um, he's just like, well, headquarters knows, but I'll tell them, I'll tell them, I'll tell them it's off, I'll tell them more heads off limits. Do you think? I'll tell them you guys are off limits. Are you sure you're going to listen? Cause if not, we're going to come see you again.

[02:56:57] I will, I'll personally chat. I'll personally, uh, talk to them. We'll get this done. Uh, sorry. We weren't going to, we weren't going to hurt them. We were just going to. Kidnap him and fly him off somewhere after extracting blood. I, yeah, sure. Definitely wasn't going to hurt him. We, we were, we were, we're, we're just following procedure. Test, doing, running some blood tests. That was all we were going to do. We weren't going to, we weren't going to dissect him or anything like that. Well, just remember next time this happens, you won't see us coming.

[02:57:25] He just kind of like shakes and nods. Yeah. Yeah. He just kind of like nods and just kind of like grovel, like just kind of like curls up. Into a ball. All right. Word. So as small as possible. Kind of like that helicopter. It's just like, like all the, there's nobody else in there, but it's like, it's just slowly like kind of like crumpling in and like slow in like slow motion imploding. Well, look at that. They do crush like a beer can. Warden, you want to go have some fun? In a moment.

[02:57:55] I need a word with the representative too. Fair enough. One more thing. I don't think it has any more juice in it guys. I think we squeezed it. I don't need anything. I don't need anything. Columbo. What are you doing? Warden. Just kneeling down next to him. Just like, you said Moorhead was off, was off limits. Free word of advice. We're on the lower end of what you will find if you keep digging.

[02:58:22] And we, and most aren't as most merciful. You're better off scrapping it all together. And I just walk away. Okay. Do you want to make a, a intellect to hear, to possibly hear something as he's like, kind of like whisper or like kind of rambling quietly to himself? Yes. Sure. Fucking four. Damn. Damn. Okay. Yeah. As you're walking away, you do catch him kind of like, kind of just like quietly rambling.

[02:58:50] It's like, I mean, they all know. They all know about you. They all know about you people. Someone's eventually. Good. Yeah. What, what that entails, like leave it up to you. I mean, you've, you, you're a warden. You've heard like, you're like ever since Chicago, ever since the battle for Chicago, there has been some, some rumors and some. More people are digging. Some talks that like the, not, not, not just public, like the, the public guy kind of like eventually like. Yeah.

[02:59:15] Went aside after the battle of Chicago, but the, the governments and corporations have kind of over the last couple of years have kind of been tipping their toes in the, in the waters of the supernatural world. We've outlasted empire. It's always fine. Yeah. Can you outlast Walmart? Oh, I've been around longer than Walmart. So probably. And you can't. Oh man. I'm now we got to do a game where it's in the Walton's museum. Yeah.

[02:59:45] Write that down. Going up against a big W. Big W. You know, there's a necromancer keeping Sam alive. Oh yeah. Yeah. This is head in a jar like Futurama. Yep. He is the necromancer. He's just a head in a jar. But anyway, yeah. So you guys, yeah, you, I'm not going to make you roll. You guys can narrate how you, how you fry the, the various, if you keep any of the document, like they have some written and like paperwork documentation.

[03:00:14] Do you keep any of that shit or. Oh, we're taking some of the, we're taking the paper paper. Yeah. Okay. The servers, I just walk into the room. Job done. Yep. Yeah. And then you guys could just like, like, yeah, get like destroy things and like use your, yeah, just basically use your, your fields of magic just to like, just short out the, the various servers and stuff. Uh, you're probably going to look, it's the lab and the clean room. Yeah. Not anymore. Yep.

[03:00:40] Um, actually as you guys go into the lab area, uh, do you want to roll, uh, or no, I'm not going to make you roll. You go in and, uh, you do see, there are some other test subjects. Oh, are they human? Uh, they're, yeah, they all appear to be human. Um, one of them, they're, they're all, they're all fairly sedated. Uh, they're in, they're in like similar, like padded rooms, like, uh, like Adam or a little Calum knows.

[03:01:08] Oh, Calum's not, Calum's not conscious right now, but they're all, they're all kind of sedated or like sleep, like kind of like in a, in sort of a, uh, some kind of a sedated state. Um, like not quite unconscious, but not quite conscious, like fully aware. Um, there's a, there's a big burly guy in, uh, in one, in one room. And then there's a, uh, probably a woman in her twenties in the other one. Uh, they're both wearing like kind of patient gowns. Uh, they gotta come with us.

[03:01:37] We can't just leave them here. Yep. Before we wake them up, I'd like to inspect them though, to actually see if they are human. Okay. So, you want to take it? Yep. Yeah. Fuck. Well, you got one shirt fire away at knowing. They look perfectly human. From the outside. I'll tag not my first rodeo on re-roll. Okay. You can also do your third eye. Yeah, that's worse. Yeah, the third eye is going to have to fucking make.

[03:02:05] You're like, you're like, you're like, yeah, no, like, like, they sure smell human. Yeah. They sure look human. Yeah. It's going to have to be third eye. I'm going to smell. Okay. Um, one, uh, the, the 20 year old woman, uh, has something coiling around her aura. Um, and actually as you're, as you're looking, inspecting her, uh, uh, um, Elizabeth, um, you're picking up this. There's like almost like kind of like a sheen to her aura.

[03:02:35] Um, it's Pantene. Pro-V. And, and like, she, like, like, as you were like inspecting her, it's like, yeah, you're like, you're not sure what that is. It's some kind of like coiling thing. Um, like not quite a snake, not quite an insect, just kind of in and around her, like almost like in, like it's, it's, it's, it's just a wrapped around her, her nervous system. Can I, can I grab it? Can I look at her vials or like veils? Um, it feels when you, when you, sorry, hang on.

[03:03:04] When you, when you, uh, when you, when you, uh, get a kind of approach her like within that aura, um, you get kind of a, the impression of hunger off of it. Off of it. Yeah. But it is intrinsic. It almost seems intrinsically integrate, like, like intrinsically woven in around her, her nervous system. Like at the moment it is a part of her. All right. It's a parasite. Want to roll an intellect? Sure.

[03:03:32] I'll, I don't like the fact that I have to roll so much intellect. I'm not a smart person. I know. I forget. Are you narrating any of this to us? Or are you just seeing this? I might be muttering. Just like, what the fuck? He's a very attractive young 20 year old. Can I, do you want to make, are you trying to tell me she's pregnant or is that what you're trying to tell me? No, no, no, no, no. Maybe. I don't know. There's no, your aura is also not picking up a secondary body, uh, like a secondary, uh, presence aside from that coiling thing. So. This is true. Um.

[03:04:02] Can I do a, uh, an intellect? When I took a nice big sniff. Yeah. Uh, can I tell more or less? Cause I think I know what she is. Uh. Just from the way you've described it. What, what is it? Uh, what, what's your, what was your role? Oh, fuck. Uh, my role was a two. I think I caught on. What do you think it is? I believe that that is white court. Ding, ding, ding. Yep. Found it. Yeah.

[03:04:30] You, you get the impression that that is a white court, uh, vampire. Um, and the thing that you're seeing is her hunger. Ah. That's going to be harder to get out of here. I think I know what it is. Then it clicked. It's like, oh. It was like, well, you're, I assume like you guys are discussing. It's like, what the hell? What, what are you saying? I'm definitely speaking aloud. Like, what the fuck is this? Yeah. So you're, you guys kind of come to that and it's like, oh shit, they've got a, they've got a tranked, uh, white court. Uh, you don't even know. She's a young one. So she's honestly not that strong. Yeah.

[03:05:00] I should have known when he said very attractive. I was like, that's an odd piece of detail to throw out. I mean, we can't obviously leave her here. Like this is, this is inhumane regardless of what it is. Uh, all right. I suggest we keep her sedated and we hand her to the curator because he's jade. Yeah, but we got to somehow get her from here to there. Through the ways, keep her sedated. We'll have to carry her. That's the best I got. Okay. Okay.

[03:05:29] What about Burley Man over there? We don't know what Burley Man is yet. We've got to check him out now too. Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to take a look. Um, at, uh, so, uh, so you give him a sniff. Just going to, just going to give him a sniff. Uh, creepy when you're a cat. He smells of the swamp. Uh, he smells of decay and life, like life and decay. So that is swamp, life, but also decay, certain amount of greed.

[03:05:58] I got a four on intellect. He looks perfectly human. So, uh, you get a, what, an intellect there? Um, yeah, I got a four on intellect. Um, you've, you've, I was a runner. Yeah, you were a runner. Um, do you want a fate point? Sure. Why not? You recognize this guy. He's a little older. Uh, but he was, um, somebody that you, uh, again, this is tapping into your, your, your,

[03:06:28] uh, your darker past. Yeah. My trouble spot. Yeah. Your trouble spot. Um, you recall a couple of years back, uh, you were helping, uh, a, a delinquent, uh, like late 20 something guy, um, get out of a jam. He had to, he was like trying to get away from the, the, the West coast. Um, but you got a better offer, uh, through your contacts and through one of your fixers

[03:06:55] that there was a group that wanted this man and his talents because he was very good at, uh, he, he's a, he's a, a mage or like a practitioner. Um, uh, that was also a, oh no, uh, not practitioner. He was a scion. Uh, he is a, uh, hat, a changeling. Oh, um, his, uh, uh, you, you, you, you, you suspected his, his parentage was something,

[03:07:21] uh, something of like an earth spirit or like a, a natural nature, more of a nature spirit kind of thing. Like a nymph, maybe like a nymph mother or something. Uh, he had a very good green thumb. You remember like from when you were, when you were talking to him before you sold him out and, uh, got a little bit, a nice, a nice wad of cash from a, uh, from a mysterious benefactor that wanted him more. Whoopsie. Yeah. Are you telling us this? Uh, no. Yeah. This is where you're like, oh, I recognize this guy. Oh shit. I recognize this guy.

[03:07:51] I'll say from the telltale signs of that man, I believe he, uh, that might be a changeling there, sir. Yeah. From the way you have your, do you have your third eye open there? Uh, we'll see. Yeah. He's talking about smelling like the green and stuff like that. Uh, okay. With the third eye. Yeah. You see like, um, just his aura is just green, like rich, rich earth green. And there's like, like leaves and other kinds of things like kind of just like plucking off of him and like dissipating.

[03:08:20] But he still like appears, he still has more, uh, more of a human, uh, uh, more of a human, um, aura, but he, there's definitely some kind of mojo mixed in with his aura as well. Probably from a heritage or parentage thing. All right. Changing a white court. Keep her asleep. We can wake him up. How about we keep them both asleep so we can run out of here fast? There is. Look at the size of him. We ain't moving him quick. Uh, have you seen? I'm just going to pick him up.

[03:08:47] He, I mean, he's still pretty heavy, but yeah, you were able to pick him up as you have, as you have fireman carry like a Kimbo two people on either shoulder or just. All right. You want hands or feet on the vampire? Lester. Do what now? You want hands or feet on the vampire? Uh, how about we just strap her to a dolly and run her out of here? All right. That works too. Yeah. There's, there's dollies. So they had to get them in here somehow. God, you said dolly.

[03:09:16] My first thought was like a fucking actual dolly. Like you'd find that, you know, home Depot. So yeah. Two little two wheeled dolly. Just. It's just a white truck. We found Hannibal Lecter. Yeah. I found some fava beams. She's a man eater. Yeah. So I'm just writing down some notes. So I know that I know that I've created these characters.

[03:09:45] They grab a few of the darts, make sure that they don't come around while we're trying to run away. Cause they make it a little, not just for the fact it's my own self-preservation. It's the fact that they may start freaking out when they wake up. Yeah. Oh yeah. We do grab a darts to keep her sedated. I'm saying both of them. Cause I know, I know you're doing it for that reason. I'm not. Yeah. Because I've got no reason to keep him sedated. Right. Yeah. I mean, I guess I could make you guys like roll off, like to see it like, Hey, he's acting kind of sketchy about that. But.

[03:10:13] I was going to, but then David came in and just kind of did it. So it's like, all right. The issue has been resolved for us. I could think any more on it. Yeah. Mine's mostly just for the fact of like, Hey, if I woke up in some place after I just got tortured and someone was running with me, I might freak out a little bit. Well, my, that's why my thing was just to wake them up. We'll get them out the fucking front door. Tell them to run. Yeah. But yeah. So you guys, uh, uh, managed to get them on gurney, on a gurney of some kind or, and

[03:10:41] uh, all right. So you're going the full on, uh, head of life. Just talk with the, uh, motherfucker for the way we actually did have a, um, uh, what do you call it? Uh, like a gurney, we would just pile all three of them onto it. Just like cordwood. Big guy on the bottom. Yeah. Caleb in the middle. Tiny, tiny girl on top. Small, medium, large. Oh, the human pyramid. Yeah.

[03:11:09] And I feel like we should probably keep the, the, the white a little bit separate because we don't know if it's just going to be like, Hey, it's hunger time. You're awake now. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's true. Yeah. Um, yeah, you're also not sure what exactly, which one she is. Yeah. We don't know what, what emotion she feeds off of. Currently. Don't care. Currently running. Yeah. Uh, so yeah, you get the, yeah, you get, uh, uh, uh, different sedation, uh, like bits of like different, um, uh, sedatives, get them on a gurney and then just like, yeah. Hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop.

[03:11:39] Um, basically just shorting out every, uh, you guys do have to use, uh, however, I'm going to say, um, Josh. Josh. Take the stairs. Well, here's the thing. Do you want to fade point Josh? Yes. Yes, I do. We're getting stuck in an elevator guys. No, the, uh, you did too well on shorting out everything like, oh, like everything on this floor. Uh, the, the elevator is not working. I don't like to see that there's a seat. There's like, you guys like try to try the elevators, not working.

[03:12:07] All of you just look like slowly turn to face, uh, Elizabeth. And then you cut to us just like chunk, chunk, chunk on the 15th floor. All right. Um, yeah, you guys get downstairs, um, roll intellect as you get down to the, uh, to the lobby area of the stairwell. I'm busy. Distracted. I'm also busy. Oh my God. One, one, two, one, one.

[03:12:37] Okay. So, uh, these guys are like, just like, cut them, cut them. Cause like to the last, like floor you're, you're, you go a little bit ahead and look out the, the doors to the, um, lobby. Uh, there are, uh, two agents, like two, uh, two corporate agents out like that, like, I guess maybe arrived into the lobby looking around, like what the fuck's happened here? What? Like looking around. So. Have you ever been so mad you beat a motherfucker with another motherfucker?

[03:13:09] Twice today, as a matter of fact. And I'm about to do it again. So you're doing this fast to try and get them like down as fast as you can or forced to just like one, one, two punch, like one, two knockdown. Uh, if I can stealth close enough to catch a motherfucker and use him to beat another motherfucker. Oh, that'd be a roll of a guile to get there stealthily. Let's see. Don't think that I can do that then.

[03:13:37] Very shock and awe at this point. Yeah. Shock and awe it is. I'm just going to go full on cat. Okay. Flair. So I guess that'd be a. Force. Yeah. Force. Yeah. Okay. We get to the bottom of stairs. We watch him shift into a fucking panther and he's gone. Yep. Well, Manther. Yeah. I'm going to hit the in-between form. Just. Manther. The man who's a panther. Hold on for a few moments. This could get messy.

[03:14:07] Oh, good. He just runs out. You hear like a scream from one of the guys. And then just like some, some whacking and possibly some clawing. And then everything goes quiet. And, uh, when you guys look out, uh, there are two downed, uh, agents. We're just like, why was there so many stairs? And I just look over at Lizzie. Elevators would have been nice.

[03:14:39] Listen. Not my fault. Mortals don't know how to build tech to last. You get the feet. My favorite part of a woman. I didn't want to know about that. I've got to clean up. I'm dragging both of these guys behind the desk. Yeah. Well, one of them. Yeah. It was actually already like halfway over the debt, over the reception desk. When you just pushed him over the rest of the way. He's like, yeah. Yeah.

[03:15:08] Uh, yeah. You have fun them. Yeah. They got, you know, they've got some like, uh, restraints. Oh, good. Binders or something like that. So just for shits and giggles, I am going to put them back to back. Okay. With an office chair in between them. And I am going to chain both of their left hands together. And then both of their right hands together to make an X. Nice. See, I would have done them fucking together. Okay.

[03:15:37] Uh, you guys, uh, get back to wherever your car is. Uh, without, um, yeah, no, without incident. Uh, like Louisville, they stole your rims. Yeah. No, no. I meant like, just cause like you guys are entering back onto like a city street. So, but, but I, I'll, I'll, I'll just hand wave that. It's like, you guys get out. Like it's, it's, it's Louisville. It's a pharmaceutical building. They've got labs. We're used to seeing gurneys apparently. Yeah.

[03:16:05] I know how to get in and out of a building and across the street. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. You get, you just like. With gurneys of people. Yeah. Just gurneys with, with a pile of, with a pile of people on a gurney. Probably not the weirdest thing they've seen all day. Yeah. Uh, and you guys. We'll watch hot dogs. Yeah. Uh, and you guys get to the, um, the other side and you guys make your escape, uh, back through the ways and, and back to Moorhead. Uh, Adam, I'm sorry. You, you finally wake up eventually. Just.

[03:16:35] Oh, look, you're finally awake. Like, where, where does Adam wake up? Like, does he wake up? Like, do you guys like, like, where do you guys. Under the bodies. No, like, like back, back in Moorhead. Where does he wake up? Put him in his bed and act like it never happened. Nah, nah. Yeah. Just completely gaslight him. What are you talking about? You've been here all day. You slept done. Flop him on his couch. Have a, put a beer in his hand.

[03:17:00] Put on, put on, uh, put on, um, uh, Wheel of Fortune. Honestly, I'm going to take all three of them with me. Put them in the Duesenberg. Drive back to my place. And I'm just going to, yeah. Just going to set them up in the chairs in the living room. And I'm just going to calmly wait until they wake up. I'm going to not be there. Because I feel like once they wake up and just, what happened? You were kidnapped.

[03:17:31] I will be there if the Baron allows. Actually, fuck it. Let's go ahead and get this out. Let's rip this Band-Aid off. Fuck it. Where am I waking up at? So I guess, yeah, you're waking up in the, in the, uh, the lodge of the Baron. Uh, probably in his, like, in his, in his, uh, living den. Or, um, like his living room area. Yeah. I was about to say, how, how literal are we taking den? Um, and, uh, yeah.

[03:17:59] To be fair, uh, if you want to know what it's decorated in. Uh. Yeah. So the walls are rough hewn wood that are still insulated. You know, it's got the look of a hunting lodge. But at the same time, it's also got a couple of the various fur skin rugs. And then fur pelts on practically every piece of furniture.

[03:18:26] Uh, everything has a certain rustic, rough hewn aesthetic to it. Like, despite the fact that the Baron has money, the Baron also doesn't apparently understand that people need things for comfort. Yeah. There is a big fireplace. Uh, there is a low table. Uh, there is no television or anything electronic. Uh, the lights are all just oil lanterns.

[03:18:54] And while there is, in fact, electricity, he doesn't pay for electric lamps. Unless in guest rooms. But yeah, like, the main room is just a big empty, well, a big open room with lots of really, really big chairs. Yeah. That have fur draped across them. Nice. I love it. I like it. Yeah.

[03:19:20] So, I guess I wake up on a, on a very Spartan couch. Yeah, I'll say, uh, Adam, you're the first one to wake up. So, you, they, they had the, you had the least dose. But, strangely enough. Ah, you're finally awake. I'm in the back of a wagon. Bring out your dead. You know, you know, they make a pillow like that, Josh. Yeah, I've seen that on Amazon. Yeah. Yeah.

[03:19:49] I guess I look around. And do I see those other people? Yeah, you see, you see, um, uh, a, sorry, I didn't describe the girl or the guy really, like, too much in, in look. Um, very pretty, Burnley. Yeah, very pretty, like, blonde with some red, like, uh, some red tips. Um, uh, 20-something, uh, woman. Um, light complexion. Um, she's in a, she's in a patient outfit. Or a patient, uh, gown. Uh, and so is this other guy who's, like, just a burly mountain of a man.

[03:20:19] Um, big shaggy beard. Shaggy hair. Like, shaggy hair that goes down to his shoulders. Um, uh, looks like a certain AI-generated character that you made, uh, like, a couple weeks ago, Adam. Uh, for, uh, the Chuck's Angels games. Oh, okay. That, uh, that, uh, the, the dad of, like, the, the one, like, that farmer dad. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. It looks like that guy, the guy, but he's, he looks like he's in his, like, 30s or, or, like, or, or, like, late 20s. Okay. Uh, um, I, remind me, guys.

[03:20:48] He's also in a, he's also in a patient gown as well. I can't remember from the book. Aren't, like, the knights that are cross-immune to the white courts? Or is there anything like that? Or, like, or were they always susceptible to their ways? The only bane to, uh, to the white court stuff is there, is the true emotions of their, or that's the opposite of their, their feeding emotion. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I just thought that they weren't. They might have some resistance to it. Maybe.

[03:21:17] I thought it was like, it depends on, like, I guess the impurity versus the pure kind of thing. Yeah. Yeah. I just said, I don't know. I always thought I remembered that. Anyway, side note, it had nothing to do with it. I guess I'll just kind of, I've been here before. I start staring around. Yeah. Barron. You remember how comfy these, uh, these fur, uh, these fur chairs are. Yeah. And, and Barron keeps a box of Cuban cigars, but he never smokes, but he knows that, like, some people like them. But, you know, he, he thinks for a moment about grabbing one of them.

[03:21:46] And then he kind of takes his mouth. It's like, you can't remember. You feel a little groggy, like, from, like, the doses you were getting hit with. And also, like, probably getting banged up a little bit. Yeah. Guy shot me in the ass. I don't know what I am. Yeah, I know. Yeah. I guess I'll, uh, kind of, uh, start looking around for everybody. Yeah. Yeah. You see the whole gang? Oh. I kind of want to step back.

[03:22:16] I kind of want to step back off in a corner, away from everybody. Just, like, pour myself a drink. I am. Just about to get fun. Yeah. Oh, you're awake, Caleb. Coffee? Tea? Tequila? I'll take number two, please. And he just kind of groggily gets up. Well, he's, I think he staggers and probably just sits back down. He's probably not got his legs about him yet. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, did you, uh, what happened?

[03:22:45] I feel like, I feel like my, my, my, my keys and kind of slipped out my tractor a little bit. I don't know what's going on. That's how it's country. They, they took you. I let them know that I was not happy with that. And we took you back. Oh, my, my, nice of you. I appreciate it. I probably owe you all some. He kind of yawns, gas money. Oh, perish the thought. Who are those people?

[03:23:16] Oh, they were also in the labs. Um, vampire? Changeling. Changeling. Uh, the Changeling begins to start stirring. Is he like, my God, is he already got a drink? Oh, no one's restrained here. Yeah. Okay. He's just like, what? I don't know. I mean, we might want to restrain her. I'm a little skeptical of not. He kind of like starts looking around, uh, Josh or not Josh. Um, Jeremy, do you want a fake point? Sure.

[03:23:44] I actually know it's right at the end of the session. I'm going to, no, I'll burn mine. You remember burning one? Okay. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. He's just like kind of looking at you guys like, what? He may not remember me at this point. Yeah. Oh, hello. Or he just doesn't see you in the shadows there. Yep. Is this, is this another, is this another thing that the test? No. My dream. You're free. What? What? You are in the home of. I'm sorry. Do we strike you as a corporate type? You're in the home of Baron von Karkov. The Baron?

[03:24:14] One and the same. You've heard of me. Yeah. My, my, my mom told me about you once. Well, then the honor is mine. You're not working with the corporation? What of my reputation would make you think that I would work with that corporation? Yeah. Yeah. Sorry. Sorry. So I've just, I've been, I've been in there for a bit. I'm out. I am out, right? You are out. Okay. You are now in my domain.

[03:24:44] Thank God. He just like kind of like sits back and flops back into the chair and groans. Can I get you anything? Coffee? Tea? Tequila? A beer? I want to go get him a beer. You got a stout? I'll say I'll go get him a beer. Fairly certain we have some kind of stout. It's so long. There's also a number of different foods available. Mostly they are meat based. Apologies.

[03:25:10] I don't stock many vegetarian options. Oh, no, that's fine. I'm, I'll, I eat meat. Um, so Adam, what, what, what stouts are sold in Kentucky? Uh, well, I mean, well, I mean, I would imagine, uh, like some of the local breweries would be, uh, country boy. That's one of the ones there. I think they may have a stout or there's also West six,

[03:25:39] which is more like port IPAs and stuff like that. There was, but I saw stone. I, you know, which was give it a little more head color there though. I've never went up and drank a beer. So though, if you come to the Bigfoot festival with me, we'll grab up there and drink a beer. Well, I feel like now I have to, but yeah, we got, well, it's right next to the bill, book and candle. But, uh, we were basically, I think this there, you could probably will say that they sell bottles stuff there too. That, uh, that,

[03:26:08] that they have a stout. Yeah, they do apparently sell a, an Imperial stout. According to Google, according to Google. Imperial. I didn't, you did this was a miracle. You did you cast a ritual to determine that? No, I just, I just looked up what beers they sell. What was the tap room look like? Uh, what kind of black magic is this Chris? Oh yeah. Sorry. Yeah. This is the magic of Google. It's not the magic.

[03:26:41] Oh God. Yeah. That's the, that's the, that's the, should have been the name of this fucking session. Thou shall not use Google. Yes. That is, we've now, we've found our name or we found the name for the session. Um, and then, I finally got to name an episode. Was it thou shall not you Google? Yeah. All right. Hold it. We got to keep going. I'm gonna put that in the notes. Oh yeah. I've already written it down. So in my synopsis, but you're going to make me edit these for my podcast. I thought that's true. Yeah. But I,

[03:27:10] but I'm also going to be, I'm giving you this document that has all this, all the session synopsis. Bless you, Chris. Bless you. You know, I suck at that and that, but just, and I refuse to let you, uh, fall the corruption of the AI. So, uh, anyway, moving on. Um, yeah. So he, he's drinking, uh, an Imperial stout from, I'm going to walk up and I'm going to pop the top off to him on my handy one. Oh, thanks. he like, he like, kind of like looks at you, like squints and is like, do I know you? Let's just say, uh,

[03:27:40] I had to, I had to balance the scale. Okay. And I, he just kind of like, like, yeah. Raises his beard. He was like, thanks. He like drinks like, Oh, sweet evil. Jesus. Oh, I just started stringing it some more. It's just like, uh, uh, yeah. He's just enjoying that stout. Um, so, so what now do I kind of, am I, uh, I don't even know where to, where to, what, what year is it?

[03:28:09] 2023 year of our Lord. Fuck. I've been in there for like 10 years. Fuck. Long time. They've been running tests on me, on my blood and shit. I was taking another pull off the rear and I'm like, yeah, take a stress. Whoops. It's just like, Oh fuck. Like that. You feel real bad about that. I'm the, we're the baddies. We're the baddies. Um,

[03:28:41] yeah. Um, I will help you get to home. However I can, or if you need a new home, I will help you to carve one out here. Your choice. Where's here. We're, we're, we're, where is this Kentucky? Uh, okay. We're in Kentucky. Kentucky. We are in a, right outside of a place called Moorhead. And that's where we're going to call for tonight. I feel would be a good ending. I was waiting for somebody to do, I was waiting for somebody to do the title drop.

[03:29:11] I'll have to chamber these Bible verses. I had later. I laid up here. It's fucking the next session is going to start with waking up the fucking vampire. Oh God. Yep. A white court vampire. And Aaron's probably going to show up at some point. This is going to be interesting. We're just going to try it. We're just going to collect the whole set. I was just thinking that like, you guys got like a red, the, the, the last, Oh, we just need to find a black court. That's easy. Clearly that's the Waltons. That's going to be the Waltons.

[03:29:42] Uh, I could say that as a former employee of that fucking company. Well, me and David Ross are former employees of that company. I think I don't want to work for that company. You don't. You do not. I've worked for Sobeys. I have a feeling it's very similar. It's similar corporate. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, trust me. I understand. But yeah. Um, I think that's, I think that's a good spot to end the session. Right. Yeah. Absolutely. You're in more head. Yeah. And we'll, yeah, we'll tie up what happens with the, uh,

[03:30:12] with the white court vampire. Um, gotta, gotta catch them all. Apparently he got like jade court, red court, and now a white court in, in, uh, in more head. Yeah. Yeah. There's different flavors of white court. We want, if we, that's true. Um, it's like catching Evie's, right? You got to catch all the flavors. I've got to, I've got, I've now, we'll go to like, look at and see, uh, which white court this one is. Cause, uh, I am leaving that right now. Yeah. There's, it depends on despair. And I can't remember the third one. Faith. yeah. Uh, what's,

[03:30:41] what's the one that's in, in Springfield, uh, that was in Dan's, uh, campaign where they, that was the faith. Yeah. They fed on faith and they produced despair. Yeah. That's what it was. Yeah. Because has, uh, a number of mega churches. Yeah. One in particular, that, uh, I could, I could fill a podcast just talking about all of the horrible things that they've done. Yeah. Well, we'll, we'll have to have, we'll have to have a discussion of like what,

[03:31:09] what white court would be in Kentucky. Uh, well, it's a Bible belt. Yeah. there's the Bible. It could just be another despair, a family, another family. So another faithful one. It's like, all right, Adam, have fun. Yeah, really? Well, I mean, well, it's, it's kind of more of a, there's a thing. Well, this is just from an insider point of view. I mean, it's not so much religion and all that, but there's just like, it's, I say it would be a political one. I say small town politics.

[03:31:39] Like there's a huge kind of, uh, conservative streak, which really amazes me because like, this is the home of, uh, not the home of, but in the early, you know, 20th century there were, and mid, there were like coal mine strikes and a lot of labor stuff. Yeah. And pro pro union things. And that's like, slowly it's been eroded away to where white, all that's been gutted. And it's just, uh,

[03:32:06] I could see if we've got one that feeds on greed. Yeah. Yeah. That'd be a good one. Actually. Yeah. Yeah. It's like, basically you can create another house if you want to, but the three main ones are lust, fear, and despair. Yeah. Yeah. That's it. I can't remember that one. Yeah. I feel like, cause like, again, like just like, uh, like old, but basically like, like, like, like the, uh, kind of like a Pinkerton old money kind of thing. Like an old type. Yeah. I mean, who knows?

[03:32:36] Maybe she's even like, I don't want to fall into another, into a, into a trend, but like she could be the last of her, of her family line. No, I was about to say that. I was like, no, we already have the last of a red court. We're going to have a fortress of solitude with our own little zoo. Jesus. You go with that, but I can even tell you like, like, of course, Chris has seen the county that I live in. There's not like a lot of industry and stuff like that. There's, if you work, you gotta, you gotta drive. That's pretty much it.

[03:33:06] Unless you're at a bank or a gas station or you're kind of self-employed doing, you know, electrician. So despair might actually work. Um, that area or. Yeah. Well, what I was going to say is like, you got to make a week to figure it out. It's fine. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It, it was never, um, developed because people didn't want to give up their idealistic, uh, community. Did that make sense? Yeah. So it could have been as prosperous as the neighboring, uh, communities,

[03:33:34] but it was just never like, they didn't want all that garbage in their town. Kind of deal. So yeah, old money don't sound bad. Okay. Yeah. We'll, we'll, we'll, we'll talk about it off recording and we'll, uh, I think I'm, I think I am kind of settling on a greed white court. Okay. I love that. Um, but as far as the game goes, I'd like to actually ask a question here. Like I, I just, I've always wondered if I, if I'm going too far off, uh,

[03:34:04] script from the original concept of just a healer. And then all of a sudden he's a healer. Who's also a night of the cross. And then I'm almost like a spell singer with blood now because of Bible verses. Is that too much? Or is that good? I mean, your, your spell stuff wasn't really like, I mean, it was more of just like kind of an influence, but you're also like, I, I kind of like, especially with like the, the girl and some of that and like the flashbang stuff. Like I, I can see it. Um, like I think, I think you, you're basically using like your blood,

[03:34:33] but like as a medium or for some things. I don't, I don't even necessarily think you're like, you're almost like a whole, like kind of a divine, uh, practitioner. practitioner. Um, like you're not quite a, um, you're not quite a full on like arcane practitioner anymore. And you're not quite a night of the cross at all, but you're something in between. Yeah. I mean, to be fair, Chris and I have been, Chris and I were talking about you being a night of the cross long before he became a night of the cross. Yeah. Yeah.

[03:35:01] You probably thought of it more for I did. Yeah. Jeremy, yeah. Jeremy was definitely like bringing that up about like, um, like getting you, getting you a sword. So, and I didn't have it this episode. Oh, I was tempted to like, Oh, it just pops up. It's just, you like check your pocket and it's in there. But I was like, handle getting my back pocket. Yeah. Is that a sword? Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, how was the, the game otherwise?

[03:35:31] Um, like, how was it? It was really fun. We ran a lot of gamuts. Like we went from, you know, being in Scotland and doing that whole bit and get Lizzie in trouble. And then Razzner about blowing up car and then to the heist. And then all. And also talking to, uh, to Ember. Yep. Um, and, and deciding her fate kind of Laura deciding on what you're going to do with her, like not feeding her to the chief vampires, but also, but like actually trying to find a way to like, uh,

[03:36:01] have her pass on by, you just got to go, you just got to go into the bowels of hell. I eat. Iker falls and find, uh, the records of, uh, of all the children's names that burned in that, that schoolhouse. I hope y'all didn't mind me kind of jumping in and, and given the name and stuff like that. It just seemed like. I'm fine with it. I, I really did like that. Cause it was like, originally I was like, all right, like he's about, he's about halfway to Louisville. Uh, and like, so they, they might be able to, they might be able to like get, catch the, catch the SUV, um,

[03:36:31] uh, on the highway or something like that. We might have like a cool, like highway chase or something like that. And then you guys decided to wait a little bit until I was like, all right, well, they've already made it to the, uh, to the, uh, to, uh, uh, uh, pharmaceuticals, uh, offices in, in, in Louisville. So, uh, and then he just broke down. You just like, kind of like, uh, uh, got it from like both sides. Like he's breaking out and you guys are breaking in, which I love that juxtaposition right there. That was great.

[03:37:02] Um, there were so many wonderful scenes this time. Uh, so many wonderful lines. Yeah. I was definitely playing a little bit more again. Like a lot of this was like just off the top of my head. So I was just kind of going with like cinematic moments. So it's like, yeah, Adam, like you, you pass out, but wake up with a popsicle stick in your mouth in a helicopter. You're being like transported away. No, I do. Thank you for, uh, for like just indulging that as it's like, all right, do you want a fade point? It's like, yep. It's like, all right, you're out still.

[03:37:31] So many fucking intellectuals. It was fun. And I think it's the perfect illustration of just like, if you go from beginning to end of the session and then we were kind of doing our, like, honestly, just stretching warmups with like vignettes in the beginning and then jumping into it. I mean, for something that you, you claimed was, uh, literally at the, I, I had a few jot notes in my head and everything here was just improv.

[03:38:00] So I think it was great. Like I had, I have a list of NPC names in front of me right now. And like my GM notes that, that we didn't even touch on because, and I had to actually add to, because you gave Ember a name. Um, but yeah, aside from that, like I, the one thing I really liked about this one was we got to actually play with that, um, uh, the mundane corporate, like what their involvement in this, in, in, in the Dresden universe would be at this point. Yeah. So, cause again, like after the battle of Chicago,

[03:38:30] it is kind of implied that like, and even before the battle of Chicago, it's implied that like the mundane organization, like big organizations are aware. And so it made sense to me when you were, uh, like making your characters like a faith healer, kind of like practitioner, it made sense to me. It's like, well, yeah, there'd definitely be like some kind of pharmaceutical corporation out there looking for healers or looking for the, for magic healers or for individuals that would might have something that they can like utilize. Right.

[03:38:57] So make antidepressants. Makes sense. Oh my God. I just realized like, what if she wasn't, what if she was given or, or sold to, uh, the corp by her own, by her kin that again, greed vampire, something else doesn't have to be her kin. Yeah. Yeah. But I think it would be, sorry. What about created? An artificial way. Well, I don't think that they can be created artificially per se, but, um,

[03:39:27] yeah, I was trying to think, I feel like, like they might find some like use for her, like in terms of like her blood and sort of that. Um, but yeah, like I was just trying to, I was at that when we, when we got to that part, I was like, Oh no, we have like this, this room for like something to throw at you. Like, like they have other subjects. It was like, I was trying to think of like other create, other supernatural beings in the Dresden universe that like a pharmaceutical company might like, take, uh, might be, um, interested in. So I feel like a white court might be interested in, like might have a,

[03:39:56] haven't have an interest in like some kind of pharmaceutical. So, Oh, absolutely. I mean, I mean, what if they got our head of a hold of a red court saliva, man? Like, I still might be able to. Yeah. No, you know, I wish this system had something built in it like Boston. Of course, I think we're leveling up just fine, but you know, if I were going to award points, you know, how like during the Boston game at the end of it,

[03:40:25] we go through and like, did this, this, this, this, this kind of thing. So, I mean, look like, um, I, you know, starting with David there, we, we learned a bit more about how serious and I mean, he takes his domain. He definitely took a leading role with, uh, the negotiations with the Merlin and, uh, just honed him. Awesomely. And more so with the other stuff there. I mean, I thought that was great.

[03:40:55] The casual remark, I really think was, you know, if my character thinks it was divinely spoken, really the, like, you know, if you need money, just ask. Cause then he was offered a briefcase of money after he'd suffered a big financial kind of loss. Things like that. We have Josh who, I don't want to say like get your comeuppance or anything like that, but there were repercussions to like some views that you have.

[03:41:24] And also like your reaction to the element reaction to the group. It seems to have been more cohesive with everyone, you know, like I, I totally dig that. And then of course, Lester has always been great. And, but we get to see a little bit of Lester's past and I'm sure that that's going to play a part. Like my past, just my troubled spot just came to haunt me. I'm sure yours is coming. Jeremy. Jeremy. Jeremy's has been popping up occasionally in this.

[03:41:53] Jeremy's is really awful at the moment. Like Jeremy's, Jeremy's thing came up with like, uh, the skin taker stuff. And then like, and then for now, this is another case where, but you actually paid for, paid off that, uh, that trouble there. So at the moment anyway, um, Johnny, as he, as he, as he'll tell you, his name is, um, doesn't know that you're, uh, doesn't, doesn't know that it doesn't remember that you were, um, you're the guy that, that, uh, sold them out. So it's only been 10 years.

[03:42:25] Oh, go ahead. Oh, sorry. I was just like, what was that? Uh, Josh or not Josh, uh, I didn't hear that over Josh. I said, yeah, it's only been 10 years since I sold him to a pharma company. Yeah. Well, that's why I like, I kind of wanted to have you get a hit there. It's the stress. It's like, ah, fuck. Like, yeah, we got to feel a little bit bad. You are trying to like make amends. So, no, that's what I was, I was, uh, I was almost waiting for you to have the rep be like, Hey, I know you. I was going to do that. Oh no, the rep. Oh yeah. No,

[03:42:54] the rep wouldn't have. Well, the rep at that point was also groveling. So like, yeah, yeah. He wasn't looking at faces. That's fair. Yeah. It's like, I recognize that voice. Yeah. Cause it would have been like, okay, you know me, you know who I am and what I can do. Yeah. Well, maybe, uh, I mean, he said that he was going to talk to his, his, uh, his, uh, his bosses, but we'll see if they, if the bosses are like going to measure the bosses, not throw away. Yeah.

[03:43:24] Basically the risk versus the reward. That's yeah. That's just business. That's why I hear the warning. She's like, we're on the low end of what you're gonna going up against. Have fun. Yeah. And then just cut to black helicopters, just arriving around the baron's lodge, just like, all out war just against, uh, the baron and his, and his fiefdom. Cause they're going to, they're going to, they're going to weigh the risk versus their war. They're going to be like, okay, is it, is the cost worth it?

[03:43:54] And someone said, Hey, there's a bunch of things there that we might want to go investigate. Yeah. There's a, this, this area is a hotspot, uh, for supernatural, uh, supernatural beings and creatures that we can exploit for profit. Go ahead. Fuck with me. Drag the white council on this. Yeah. Chris, don't threaten me with, with more episodes. With, with, with a, with a, with a, with a, uh, human, uh, human supernatural civil war. Oh, if that happens, you know,

[03:44:24] uh, we are getting backup from a lot of different signatories. Like if I survive the helicopter onslaught, which I assure you, I will, um, they make it into my woods. They die. Um, but then on the other hand, I know that there would be so much backup. I could see the white court just, or white court. I could see the winter Faye just kind of saying the white court might intervene now. Yeah. Yeah. Depending on, on, on how, uh,

[03:44:54] how, um, uh, do you guys want me to tell you her name? Nope. Yes. Okay. I won't tell. I won't tell. But depending on how the white court girl, uh, how she got ended up in, uh, in the corpse hands. Uh, yeah. Yep. Well, I can safely say it wasn't me. I mean, this time it wasn't me. Wasn't me. In the immortal words of Shaggy, wasn't me. Yeah. Oh no, I will take full blame for that. Um, to be fair, that was the,

[03:45:24] like, I, I feel like we had some really good roles in that, but I also feel like just the curb stomping our way into the building was. Yeah. We were actually playing. We were actually, we were actually interacting with the scale option, the, the scale rules too, which was cool. Like, everything else has kind of been on par with us. So we couldn't really. Yeah. And to be fair, the, the rooftop alone was just, it's the, the equivalent of the one-sided fist fight.

[03:45:54] Yeah. Just like down, take a, like a sword in hand, bat in hand, gravity. I actually didn't do anything in that roof fight. It was just Jeremy and David. Yeah. But you were definitely like intimidation factor. Oh, absolutely. Yeah. Cause fucking, they both took everything down before I could do anything. It's like, fuck. All right. If you had made it to the helicopter first, it would have exploded in a shower of sparks and it would have been glorious. Yeah. I just,

[03:46:24] I just had this image of you kicking in the door and, and just letting magic go and everything just exploding around you. And I thought, Oh, that's absolutely what it is. I just strode out with a fucking cloak billowing behind me and just lights are exploding. Monitors are exploding. Cell phones are going off like that. I, I'm, that's how I imagined that the 20th floor was, as you're just walking through. That's true. You're just like finger guns. One minute. It's an office building.

[03:46:53] The next second, it's a factory that manufactures sparks. How did that happen? Did we stumble into an eighties hair band music video by accident? There's a crazy light show coming across from the, from the office building across the way guys. You have the, you have the Baron holding the guy over the ledge while, while the helicopter is slowly crushing itself behind him. Yeah. I just love that. It seems like that. And like the pilot is just like cutting the,

[03:47:22] cutting his own strap and slow in sluggish slow-mo, trying to get out of this like crumpling, like crumpling vehicle. No one died. I didn't have to intervene. No, everybody's been like taking it. Everybody was basically knocked out for the most part. Cause if Jeremy had killed a man, I would have had to kill Jeremy. Yeah. Also, also with even despite Adams, like Adam, you didn't have to get a whole lot of screen time, but your, your screen time in that, in the, in the, in the subject room, like in the, in the lab was, was really nice. I liked that.

[03:47:52] I rolled one point higher than you did for your stuff, for your, your, your guile to like stealth around. So that's why I was like, Hey, we're going to cut away and then we're going to come back and I'm going to narrow that you're, you're under fire. I mean, I totally thought that was fun. I like, I'm not super confident with all that stuff anyway. I mean, he was a combat medic anyway. Yeah. What I, so he wouldn't like, you know, necessarily kicking down doors and shit, but, um, yeah, I also did like, this is like, you're so confident with like, like,

[03:48:22] or like so calm and collected with the, the, the lab, uh, the lab tech. And then, uh, you, as soon as you get outside, all right now, time to stealth. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. Well, I thought it was just, I mean, for in the beginning when you start doing it, I was sort of thinking like Samson, like I'm a terrorist building down kind of. Yeah. But, uh, you know, as, as it all went on, I mean, I don't know, they just didn't seem like threats and all that. And just being able to have the, uh, the, it's,

[03:48:52] it's like the crow. I mean, as I think about it again, like you, you've seen the original crow, right? I actually, I have it on my shelf. I'm really, I'm bad at like watching movies. So I haven't actually seen it yet. There's a, there's a, well, I don't want to ruin this thing, but it felt like that, but I, I just really liked the fact that, um, it's, I w I was trying to do the calm talking thing, which is just something that Adam does. Nice. I mean, I have to do few situations a lot of time with my, uh, you know,

[03:49:20] raising family and then like a school teacher and stuff like that. And that's just kind of my go-to kind of just calm, steady kind of voice, kind of trying to talk somebody down. But, uh, then, you know, the blood thing, I was like, well, it's on my hands. Oh, well, this would be good. So I don't know. I think it's cool. I hope it didn't seem to, I didn't mean it to be like a violation of that person's will or rights or anything like that. That was great. Like, no, yeah, no, it worked fine.

[03:49:50] Like it was, it was reflection. Yeah. It was, it was very well, it was very well done. Like I, again, I was like, these guys are like, Oh, these guys were overconfident and you just like got the upper hand for like part of it. And then you kind of fumbled your way through the rest of it. Yeah. You actually talked one white court vampire and think you're the master of everything. You actually talked the one down and made yourself reflect. Like, I thought that was really cool. Like that was a really cool scene. Actually, I might write her,

[03:50:19] I might put her in just as like, she could be a recurring character. If she comes back as like a reformed, like, like she no longer works for the company. I mean, if you wanted to go with the scripture, like I've all of a sudden made an apostle, but I'm not a cross figure, but you know what I mean? Yeah. Or she's just curious about what happened. Like she just literally got her eyes opened up to the world that she was in and the corruption that was around her. She's going to have some reflection. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I'd love to see her again.

[03:50:49] I mean, I don't know. Maybe this is that whole thing where we try to save cognitive orders and the uncles games and stuff like that. But now I want to save the white court vampire from like being a horrible monster to, of course, may or may not be able to, obviously, you know, we'll see how things go. Yeah. I think this deck is stacked against on that one, but the white court are still part people, part person. So, I mean, yep. Yeah. But every single one of them is killed if they haven't,

[03:51:20] if they didn't resist it when they matured. Oh, is it the white court? Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, anything else before we tell the recording to go away? Thank you for good game. Yeah. Well, one thing that I did want to give credit on, um, I did love some of the back and forth with me and Josh, um, specifically Josh's side of it, the, Oh, are you going to ask me nicely? This is as nice as it gets. Skars guard. Are you with her out? In. Yeah.

[03:51:50] Yeah. It's like we bicker and then it's all of a sudden you getting in the truck. We're going to go beat something up. Yeah, we're good. So how are we doing? Let's kick in the front door. Beat me to it. Let's do it. Yeah. I'm, I'm really liking you guys. Like, I know you guys like bicker a lot in the game, but like, I really do enjoy the, like, I'm just like, I, I just envision myself like with some, a bowl of popcorn, just like, like listening to you guys. Well, it's like Aaron was saying the other day. It's like, you guys are so scattered. How do you get anything done? And then we go get shit done. Yeah. Done.

[03:52:19] The characters are starting to settle in like a worn glove. Yeah. Well, not only that, but I, I feel like it's, you can tell how serious it is by how quickly we stop bickering and just do. Yeah. Like, we're going to argue. We're going to snipe at each other. We're going to have all sorts of words. And then as soon as the chips are down, it's like, Hey, that's mine. You don't mess with that. That's my, did you just take a shot at my wizard?

[03:52:49] Only I can make fun of my brother. You can't. Exactly. Well, thank you. That's about it. I'd like to thank you on behalf of a row point exchange. Praise on for rowing with us. Fellow member of credit in the night podcast network. Yeah. I got to remember to like promote. Oh, it's like, we're going to have the network up for like a year before these episodes started. Yeah. Fully established it though.

[03:53:19] Yeah. But yeah, I mean, this is, you know, I'm already starting like every big campaign that I jump in with you. I'm already starting to get misty thinking like, Oh God, man, we're going to finish this up. And then like, I mean, the story's over, you know what I mean? But, and then we're going to be, then we're going to be thinking back on these games. Like, man, I liked this game. We'll do another one. Well, we'll do it. We'll do it. We'll do another one. Four years later. All right, guys. I'm thinking maybe we should do it now. Too many games.

[03:53:49] So little time, man. That's, that's the big, that's the, I've told you this before, but, and I honestly mean it. This is one of my favorite campaigns I've ever played in. This has been a lot of fun. And I'm going to truly be sad whenever we finally finish it. Well, happy audio. Yep. We'll always have. We'll always have more head. Oh yes. All right. Um, yeah.

[03:54:19] Next week. Later. Later. Adios.
