[00:00:00] Oh, hello and welcome to Dente Rigamortis. I'm Review Cultist. I'm Mikey, the tense rival.

[00:00:25] I'm Ted the Gamer. And we're here to discuss those internet stories, most creepy and most pasta,

[00:00:30] and be critically silly doing it. Tonight we have the third installment of the Deepwood

[00:00:37] trilogy, The Death of Deepwood, Pennsylvania. So, The Death of Deepwood is of course by the

[00:00:46] Dalek Emperor or CK Walker. You can check it out at Reddit No Sleep. I believe you can also check

[00:00:52] it out at CK Walker's own website. If you look up the Lost Town of Deepwood or Return of Deepwood

[00:00:57] or The Death of Deepwood on Google, there might be a link to CK Walker's own official story

[00:01:06] website. There might be or there is? I'm pretty sure. When I found this, I found it through

[00:01:13] Reddit, but I didn't find it. But then when I've gone looking for it again over and over again,

[00:01:18] I've used Google and it's popped up with a couple of other search options. So,

[00:01:24] but yeah we read it all on Reddit No Sleep so that's where we're coming in from this.

[00:01:32] But yeah before we get too far ahead ourselves let's do our initial recommendations.

[00:01:37] I'm going to partially recommend this one. I am also going to partially recommend this one.

[00:01:44] Ditto is my favorite Pokemon. I'll partially recommend this one.

[00:01:56] I mean, Ditto is really cool and also kind of creepy in like a thing sort of way.

[00:02:00] No, so I approve. But yeah let's dive into the rundown and find out exactly why we gave those initial

[00:02:10] recommendations. So, Kaitlyn's plan to break into the museum and make the statue of MetaRaxis the demon

[00:02:18] move went about as well as you'd expect. It moved dangerously so and Bannock, Jameson Scott's

[00:02:27] angry bodyguard arrived on the scene as she tried to escape. That being she being Kaitlyn, not the demon.

[00:02:37] I know that. I mean, this very yeah we don't know the gender of MetaRaxis.

[00:02:42] No. Bannock drags Kaitlyn away from that room and it is revealed that he is Jamie.

[00:02:55] And that's when he had horse beating when no one heard it. Yeah all that all it was all red

[00:03:00] harrick folks. But that's when Jameson and his other henchmen arrive on the scene and shoot

[00:03:07] Jamie revealing his diabolical plans. Jameson Scott was originally an aging tech mogul well into

[00:03:15] his 80s and fearing death sought out a way to extend his life so that he could continue to help in

[00:03:22] quotes, advance human technology into the cyber age. About six years ago he discovered the demon

[00:03:29] and has been using it since to gain eternal youth in exchange for sacrifices MetaRaxis requires.

[00:03:37] And now Katie's name is up. Katie and Jamie are put in the same room as the demon statue once again

[00:03:46] with the wards placed on the walls of the room instead of the statue pedestal.

[00:03:51] While waiting for the demon to wake Katie and Jamie catch up a little turns out Jamie managed

[00:03:57] to survive the vanishing of middleboro and a whole bunch of other small towns and has spent

[00:04:03] the last 13 years keeping an eye on the demon statue becoming a local police officer for various

[00:04:11] towns and wherever this demon popped up in. And then joining Mr. Scott's group eventually when he

[00:04:20] got a hold of the statue and tried to lead them away from Katie who ultimately walked right

[00:04:28] into their hands anyway so it was all for not. On top of this Jamie learned the proper wards

[00:04:38] to keep the demon at bay at least for a little bit though these wards have to be specifically blessed

[00:04:47] in like a very like very specific way like it has to be blessed by the second son of a Roman Catholic

[00:04:55] I think of a priest from a cc Italy don't ask j... yeah right they have to be blessed

[00:05:02] I'm gonna write down a note. Oh no there's... yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah it's very

[00:05:09] specific and don't ask Jamie about it like like we don't have time for explorations as to how we

[00:05:14] found that out but the reason why the demon is hasn't grabbed them yet in this room is because

[00:05:24] apparently Jamie has made a very large imperfect ward under the room where the statue was being kept

[00:05:31] so it's like it's not perfect it's not blessed but it's still going to slow down the demon a little

[00:05:35] bit. As the demon begins waking up the two managed to escape and flee getting into Jamie's car

[00:05:44] and while being tailed by jameson get to the church in the woods in deepwood where this all started

[00:05:54] here Jamie had a plan they were going to lure the demon back into the cellar with Katie's bait

[00:06:01] the demon using its crazy weird powers appears into the cellar as they descend down into it

[00:06:08] but managed to get back out as jameson and as goons arrive

[00:06:15] the stairs down to the cellar are destroyed but Jamie gets taken hostage by jameson and Katie is forced

[00:06:21] to jump back into the hole however Jamie pushes himself and jameson down into the hole first

[00:06:29] and Katie rushes to grab Jamie who's hanging on the edge of the trap door. The henchmen all scatter

[00:06:39] rather quickly and the cellar door is closed with the demon and jameson inside and after a bunch

[00:06:47] of earth shaking and what seems like some kind of divine like imprisonment of the church or at least

[00:06:55] the trap door in the basement below the duo managed to flee the scene and escape leaving MetaRax

[00:07:03] trapped yet again. Four days later Katie notes that all of jameson's cool inventions and influence

[00:07:10] over the tech industry have vanished signifying that he was finally eaten by the demon.

[00:07:17] The location of the trap door is concealed names of people, places and even times were altered

[00:07:24] in this story by Katie so no one could go looking for it. Now Katie and Jamie go hunting for those

[00:07:31] people jameson knew who might try to find a MetaRax this again and use him for evil ends

[00:07:40] and that is where we leave off the story of deepwood. Finn so now with that all the way we shall

[00:07:48] move on to everyone tolerance the gramming physicians at this point um I've got a handful

[00:07:57] like yeah. I'm gonna get to start with this one here if the demon was a satisfied and successfully

[00:08:07] warded as Scott bragged it was then the creature either wouldn't notice or wouldn't care about my

[00:08:15] presence so the van there should probably be changed to then so because right now it's a THAN

[00:08:24] and it should be THEN and onto my next one. My life was a black mark on its record an insult

[00:08:31] and I had gone into its layer and challenged. So my life had been a black mark on its record an

[00:08:43] insult period and I had gone into its layer and challenged period so I feel like those two sentences

[00:08:51] should be combined to one like that that center period should be a comma but furthermore I

[00:08:59] feel like there should maybe even be an it at the end of the of the sentence so it's like and I

[00:09:04] had gone into its layer and challenged it. Yes. Excellent. We are in we haven't a chord

[00:09:16] I'll move on to the next one. I have a word for Fiesta. Moving on.

[00:09:25] Mix the accord. Honda right. It's a Honda. Honda. He kept me pinned there. His hold rigged his

[00:09:33] eyes desperate and little bit pissed off. She rigged. Yeah like rigged, rigid whatever to maybe

[00:09:40] go to me. Yeah. Yeah. You say potato. I say potato. Jimmy it's the same spelling on the

[00:09:52] teleprompter. Was that intentional? What? That joke. Yeah. I think so yes. That was set up like

[00:10:06] that. It wasn't just I think it was making I think it was kind of like making a jab at the fact

[00:10:12] that Christopher Walken has a very interesting way of saying things. Fair. Yeah. It was continuing.

[00:10:19] Okay but yeah moving on to the next thing I have here. Oh yeah no so the reason why I did that

[00:10:27] sentence in the beginning with so it just needs an A so it's like his eyes desperate and a little

[00:10:34] bit pissed off. We're starting to see see a little bit of signs of caveman speech throughout this

[00:10:39] story. I didn't even notice that one. Yeah and then the next thing I have here is

[00:10:50] actually I was hang on. Yep. What's wrong with that one? So the sentence as it is is he kept me pinned

[00:10:57] there his his hold rigid his eyes desperate and a little bit pissed off. Oh my god I read it

[00:11:04] over five times like it says his eye desperate and a little pissed off. Yeah no I

[00:11:08] press for it and a little pissed off when I'm I missing here. It's literally missing the A

[00:11:13] that you keep out again. You type of you type of music you're just so good at type of easing.

[00:11:18] I know it's just like problems. It's a gift but also a curse. Yeah but yeah so I'll move on

[00:11:28] for the next thing I have here. I was a poet drawing sigils by then since I'd spent some much

[00:11:36] time at Deepwood and sigils have to be perfect to work so I tried to ward it. So honestly this is

[00:11:46] just a simple mistake. I know it's a no style log but fuck you by then since or since I'd spent

[00:11:57] so much time not so much time for some time. Yeah or yeah since I've spent some time yeah yeah

[00:12:05] I'd accept either or because he as long as he spent some time there yeah as long as he'd

[00:12:12] spent a amount of time in deepwood or at deepwood so yeah but I'll move on to the next thing I have

[00:12:23] and this is another dialogue but I mean we're getting some caveman speech here so

[00:12:28] I would expect nothing else and that's why were you protecting him

[00:12:32] and I think it's supposed to be and that's why you were protecting him

[00:12:42] just like the words were reversed.

[00:12:47] Yeah definitely caveman speech. I mean it is the author of Brezga so

[00:12:54] it's the birth of our encounter with caveman speech in Creepostas so

[00:13:00] but I mean I could see that also as being a flub in the character's talking

[00:13:08] because there's like because they want to say and that's why you were protecting him

[00:13:15] and but why were you protecting him. Are you saying that it's the way character talks?

[00:13:25] It's quite possibly. Is it the only dialogue that has caveman speech? I think it might be

[00:13:33] interesting interesting almost like an intentional

[00:13:40] maybe or maybe not. Yes they were flustered at the time

[00:13:49] and like and also Katie's very awkward when she talks. Remember from the second episode or

[00:13:55] from the second part? Anyway moving on to the next thing I have

[00:14:03] he's became obsessed with you and I damned sure wasn't going to let him find you.

[00:14:11] Caveman speech again. I actually found somehow missed all of these other ones.

[00:14:18] So this is how I would have fixed it. He's become obsessed with you and I damned well

[00:14:25] wasn't going to let him find you. Damned well? Yeah because like I'm damned well

[00:14:31] I damned well wasn't going to let him find that's that to me I've heard that before

[00:14:36] versus like I damned sure wasn't going to I've never like that one it felt wrong to me but

[00:14:40] would feel more natural for me was and I for damn sure wasn't going to let him find you.

[00:14:46] Yeah that would that I'd also accept that. Also I damned. I just put it to like I'd love

[00:14:52] it became he's became obsessed with you. He became obsessed with you actually. Okay so

[00:14:59] that yeah yeah he became obsessed with you or he's become obsessed with you. Yes either

[00:15:04] either one I think yours might be better because like it's past tense but

[00:15:10] yeah yeah yeah um and the next one I have here

[00:15:17] I heard them click but when they fell to the floor all I heard with the loud grinding of stone

[00:15:24] on stone again all I heard was the loud grinding of stone on stone again. Yep.

[00:15:34] Then the next thing I have here Jamie followed behind me and took the stairs down

[00:15:40] on shaky step at a time one shaky step at a time.

[00:15:45] I'm going on Jamie followed behind me flashlight in hand. What's wrong there?

[00:15:59] Oh okay so the reason I did this okay so here's here's what it is so this this is because

[00:16:06] it's coupled with the previous sentence that I just talked about. So Jamie followed behind me

[00:16:11] and took the stairs down one step at a time period. Jamie followed behind me flashlight in hand

[00:16:19] so it's weird that you repeated part of the previous story or the previous sentence.

[00:16:25] The start of the previous one yeah so I feel like it's like ski spot run. Go spot go. I got

[00:16:30] like that kind of thing. I had that kind of like writing to me so I feel like all it needs to be

[00:16:35] what needs to be fixed here is just include the flashlight bit like at the end of this

[00:16:42] at the end of the previous sentence you don't need to have the Jamie followed behind me again and just

[00:16:47] like yeah so. Because it'd be one shaky step at a time flashlight in hand. Yeah exactly.

[00:16:56] Jamie followed behind me flashlight head. What is wrong with this sentence?

[00:17:00] like like like featured like present me trying to grapple with like what the hell past me was

[00:17:07] trying to get at. What I normally do is like I number all of my notes in the parentheses after

[00:17:13] the number I put what the hell this is about so I have a rough idea going in. Usually my notes

[00:17:20] help with that. Okay yeah and then we have this one here. I skid over to the side of the hole

[00:17:28] tripping over the smaller statue on the way. Welcome to my 10 stock I kind of feel it should be

[00:17:34] I skidded over to the side of the hole because at this point like everything had been kind of past tense

[00:17:40] and the whole like I skid over to the side of the hole like is kind of in present tense it

[00:17:45] mixed into a past tense situation so yeah yeah yeah you're right okay and that was my 10 stock

[00:17:59] move on to third last one I have Jamie hoisted me up next to him and ran for the door as bit

[00:18:05] of the ceiling began to cave in. Well thank god it's only a bit of the ceiling not bits of the ceiling

[00:18:13] yeah 32 64 yeah what amount of this what generation of console we're talking

[00:18:20] yeah yeah so it's like and ran to the door as bits of the ceiling began to cave in or like

[00:18:25] I guess you want to make that sound a little bit more like dramatic it's like as sections of the

[00:18:30] sections of the ceiling began to cave in. Yeah we're chosen yeah bits is like very very

[00:18:35] very nice yeah and then the next one I have the church came down in a butt of dust and splintered

[00:18:44] wood I think this meant in a bout of dust and splintered wood which so yeah well about

[00:18:56] so the sort it's like use butt is in the actual sentence bout b o ut is described in according

[00:19:05] to dictionary.com and such a moment of intense of an intense situation so like not about

[00:19:13] but a space bout of something yeah again I did uh the church came down in a cloud of dust and

[00:19:24] splintered wood that would also be acceptable yeah and my last gramma acquisition by the dawn of

[00:19:32] the fourth day he and all his inventions abruptly disappeared from the world so fourth is spelled wrong

[00:19:39] it's f o r t h and it should be f o u r t h although it could also be fourth as in the number t h

[00:19:52] like like number four t h since the number four was used in the previous sentence

[00:19:59] when it said like four days later like he died um because by the by the dawn of the fourth day

[00:20:04] he and all his inventions abruptly disappeared from the world so um since it's already

[00:20:10] established the use of the numerical uh representation of four you might as well

[00:20:16] all through and have that in the next one too so but uh that is my grammar

[00:20:22] acquisition so Mikey these stands for evil and well you've done a good job so all that I've left

[00:20:30] is my conjunction junction all right and next stop conjunction junction it was a sound I'd heard

[00:20:38] before in the soundtrack of my nightmares so I had been right all along the statue wasn't dormant

[00:20:49] it was a hollow victory its mouth was open and almost imperceptibly growing wider by the second

[00:21:00] it happened in the breadth of a second or had I and I had gone into its lair and challenged

[00:21:13] it had told me all of this somehow hadn't it and once again I had awoken it from a harmless slumber

[00:21:26] but it couldn't be it wasn't possible and yet somehow it was but his eyes hadn't changed

[00:21:40] and it was Jamie all the same and I'm not impressed by much at my age

[00:21:50] but you will won't you and why it's my gift to the world I was born too late into it's true

[00:22:04] but I reached my 70s and then my 80s and my vision began to fail my hand would shake I'd forget coding

[00:22:14] so I tracked down every piece of ancient lore I could that may help me reclaim my youth

[00:22:23] so I bought him and warded him using the sigils I'd read about in ancient text

[00:22:32] but eventually we discovered the right sigils

[00:22:35] it's really because meta-raxes only desires those who are connected to him somehow

[00:22:48] so you can imagine how happy I am that you showed up on my doorstep

[00:22:56] and today the cost is you

[00:23:00] it wasn't the fact that my name wasn't graved at the base of the statue that the velvet cloth had

[00:23:09] covered it wasn't the wards which had been moved from the demons feet to the doors and walls of the

[00:23:18] roof it wasn't even the fact that the demons head was turned as to be looking directly down at me

[00:23:27] so I fled to the only place I knew was safe and then one day the town's regained

[00:23:37] so I decided to find the thing so I went from town to town until I found it

[00:23:44] it was just there standing in the center of town

[00:23:49] it would take a little while but the statue always managed to break them

[00:23:58] or prove I'd been right or had it actually been about Jamie all along

[00:24:08] it took a long time and a lot of towns he continued

[00:24:14] but I finally feared out what I was doing raw

[00:24:20] and not just by anyone by the second son of a Roman Catholic preferably from a cc

[00:24:30] Italy or at least near the region so what happened to your second son from a cc Italy

[00:24:39] and that's when Jameson Scott got a hold of it and that's why were you protecting him

[00:24:50] because he had almost 80 people on his staff who did nothing but travel every corner of the globe

[00:25:01] looking for any scrap of information on metadraxes

[00:25:08] it took me a long time to figure out what he was doing

[00:25:13] and by then your name had come up

[00:25:18] it's trying it's not blessed but it's big

[00:25:24] it was louder and longer this time but this time it wasn't hypnotized by it

[00:25:33] it was alive as alive as it had ever been

[00:25:38] its movements were silent yet fluid and flexible like a cartoon on mute

[00:25:47] it shattered just as I saw the door on the other side of the room begin to bend as it was pushed

[00:25:59] in from the other side it was early the first rays of sunlight streaming through the trees

[00:26:08] as we hit the highway it followed at a considerable distance

[00:26:17] because this is what he wants but I trusted Jamie so I didn't object

[00:26:26] it doesn't always move like that it sometimes travels on another plane

[00:26:33] it's the only way this will end kitty it would for you

[00:26:44] it stood in the same position we'd first found him in 13 years before

[00:26:52] though this time its face was not stone so this was it

[00:26:58] it was time to pay my dues so Scott had survived the fall

[00:27:08] it's still there under a pile of rotting detritus that used to be a small church

[00:27:19] but one thing is for damn sure it sure as hell won't be because of me

[00:27:28] thin wow so I just gotta say well I was listening to that and like keeping the story out of context

[00:27:38] it really felt like the progression of things like like the sort of the some of the backstory

[00:27:44] of like Jamie was not actually backstory it was actually happening like and the story was

[00:27:49] just going farther and farther into the future yeah and like 13 years later like as you've been

[00:27:55] like dealing with this demon and like had helped from like from the second son of a Roman Catholic

[00:28:00] from a from a cc Italy and then like eventually like finally they were able to put it back in

[00:28:07] deepwood and uh but then Scott was there but then suddenly he's because he so he had survived the fall

[00:28:14] maybe that has something to do with the fact that this creature doesn't always use uh

[00:28:18] it's it's like conventional movement sometimes it takes a plane to get places

[00:28:23] of course yeah

[00:28:29] also revealed that Jamie was the statue the whole time oh yeah yeah yeah

[00:28:38] no Jamie you are the demons

[00:28:40] oh yeah but those are nowhere Mikey grabs all the sentences throughout a story and there's a lot in

[00:28:48] this one with uh that's not words that they probably shouldn't like its ends or buts because it's

[00:28:52] always better words to use indeed when you string together sometimes once it with hilarious content

[00:28:58] when read it in context yes all right so uh gamer do we have uh

[00:29:06] or

[00:29:08] Ted I am gamer and I'm yeah I'm not it's gamer it's

[00:29:15] it's it's not Ted the gamer it's gamer the Ted right no hang on that doesn't sound like either

[00:29:26] there's a color wasn't there teal the gamer teal and that's right yeah

[00:29:33] just thank my brain feels weird yeah yeah focus on that yeah so um yeah so you're your

[00:29:41] grammar and yell teal yes yeah I have a teal highlighter for all these right it wasn't the fact

[00:29:51] that my name was engraved in the base of the statue that the velvet clock had covered it was

[00:29:55] in words which had been moved from the demons feet to the doors and walls or in but it wasn't even

[00:29:58] the fact that demons head was turned as to be looking directly down at me period new pair

[00:30:04] no what terrified me most was the room the man was leaning against the wall blah blah blah blah

[00:30:10] so for me I would connect me to paragraphs because I'm talking about the exact same scene

[00:30:16] it's weird that it tabs down to a new paragraph like in the middle of this description

[00:30:22] and that odd yeah

[00:30:24] and then a little bit later uh Jamie says working on it suddenly a keypad flash green

[00:30:35] and the door clicked open Jamie drew a black marker out of this pocket and drew a long line

[00:30:39] down the middle of the sigil negating but for me it could be viewed a little confusing since

[00:30:47] brew is used twice in the same sentence for two different things

[00:30:52] because he drew it out of his pocket a key pocket and then drew with the marker yeah they like

[00:31:00] he pulled it out of his pocket yeah there's so many other words he was using two of the exact same one

[00:31:05] for two different meanings kind of annoying to me yeah so in regards to this where is this

[00:31:11] sigil the last thing that was mentioned was the keypad he's focusing on and then all of a sudden

[00:31:16] he's drawing through a sigil I kind of saw that like maybe it was like on the door like because

[00:31:22] like they put it on the wall on the on the wall perimeter they put the words on the wall perimeter

[00:31:25] rather than on the pedestal anymore yeah I noticed when you read that section earlier in um

[00:31:32] in uh no wonder something yeah you mentioned how the sigils were on the walls of the room and the door

[00:31:38] but I wish it doubled down saying on the door here because I forgot it was on the door at all so

[00:31:44] I imagine like did the code and then like ran over to one of the ones on the ground and just put a

[00:31:49] line through it like trust me also it's like also it should be really funny if like they they

[00:31:56] warded the all the walls except for the one means of exit and entry from the built from that

[00:32:01] door from that room like they would they didn't figure like the demon could open doors no

[00:32:06] not smart enough open doors yeah but either way if it just said um Jimmy pulled out a black marker or

[00:32:15] this pocket and drew a long line down the middle of the sigil on the door yeah the gating it that's all in the

[00:32:26] and then my only other one is uh actually tell me if you've done this one because

[00:32:34] okay while you guys were doing some of your grammar stuff I was fearously writing more notes

[00:32:40] so Scott and Sarah in the fall I girmished and pulled myself over to the edge to peer into the

[00:32:44] darkness below I could see nothing but the creature was no longer screaming um so that's how I read it

[00:32:51] was I could see nothing but the creature but it's meant to say I could tell me comma but the creature

[00:32:58] was no longer screaming yeah yeah it's how it meant to be but I first read it as I could see nothing

[00:33:03] but the creature so just the creature yeah yeah exactly yeah that I guess we're saying I get

[00:33:08] we're coming back yeah yeah simple comma changes that a lot um but that's all I got for my

[00:33:15] grammar and yellow teal teal teal it's teal i don't know are you sure it's teal i gotta lie yellow

[00:33:22] chanatones in my head right now for some reason hmm yeah anyway moving on to I guess the actual

[00:33:31] thoughts now um so i'll start with this one here when I reach the opposite door I leaned my head

[00:33:39] against it and tried to calm my rapidly beating heart not have a fear but a deep desire to be

[00:33:46] with metarachis again she was practically swooning to to make yet another callback from our previous

[00:33:53] episode uh and we mentioned like that we mentioned last week where like it was this potential buddy horror

[00:33:59] because she the demon only had eyes for for for Caitlin yes it's a pararomantic situation going on

[00:34:08] here to star to uh to hellcrossed lovers yeah but uh i'll move on to the next thing I have

[00:34:19] the creature would burn through a hundred cities perhaps a thousand to claim me it had told me all

[00:34:25] of this somehow hadn't it I suddenly realized my mistake the creature had been dormant when I'd arrived

[00:34:32] in Lanternberg as it as it had been dormant 13 years before in deepwood and once again I had

[00:34:40] awoken it from a harmless slumber how many would pay the price this time how many people had to die

[00:34:47] before the end okay so first off what did you think was going to happen here

[00:34:55] playing the wildcard scenario seriously we mentioned this last week is like what did you

[00:35:02] fucking think was gonna happen with this plan of yours yeah oh i'm glad that she like it's like

[00:35:11] which it would have finally happened was like oh poop am I the bad guy like that's kind of say yes

[00:35:19] yes you are here yeah yeah that's my first thing i kind of have viewed her as a villain since like

[00:35:30] the previous story yeah she was kind of being diabolical too there we get like

[00:35:37] like using her using the emotions of like the of between her and uh in and Jamie to her own

[00:35:43] her own ends like that's that's like childish stuff like that's fine like that's it's not like super

[00:35:49] militia militia it's like just kind of like it's just like childish kind of stuff but then as it went on

[00:35:54] when she's a full grown ass adult yeah exactly like yes she was definitely getting more and more like

[00:36:01] like fuck your words are useless and i'm gonna show you by risking this entire fucking town

[00:36:07] and then like when it happens like why did i do this oh god my the consequences how could this

[00:36:13] been foretold who could have who could have who could have known

[00:36:22] yeah but also um on the same like comment i feel like this strange transfer of information or

[00:36:32] communication between the demon and katlyn could have been a little bit more fleshed out for me like

[00:36:39] explain that she received a pulse of thoughts or something that in in that moment with a bit more

[00:36:45] flourish than just like um with more than just uh how it says it where it's um uh the creature would

[00:36:54] we're burned through a thousand a hundred cities but perhaps thousands to claim me it had told me all

[00:36:58] of this somehow hadn't it like i feel like we need a little bit more explanation or like a little

[00:37:03] bit more descriptor on that yeah that's that's more of a just a personal opinion on that like i

[00:37:08] feel like there should have been some kind of comment about like how it's like telepathically

[00:37:12] like shot her a message like that it's like oh yeah or or it's just like yeah or it's like even

[00:37:27] like just a like like like like in her head is like subgirl so uh yeah you fucked yourself and

[00:37:33] everybody in the sound i'm gonna eat this entire fucking town to like get you like something like

[00:37:38] this like not moving on that like silly but like just a descriptor that a little bit more

[00:37:45] description about like this this apparent like telepathic message that she gets. Well let's do the

[00:37:49] thing maybe she doesn't know she just has the information all of a sudden. Oh oh

[00:37:55] thing is about rewriting what people know or it's somewhat similar to that it had like she

[00:38:01] she has this like half memory of being talked to by the demon but the demon has erased that

[00:38:06] memory from her mind in reality. Oh wow and like so she's like only half remembered like it's

[00:38:12] sort of like a faded like dream or something like that like so something like that would have been

[00:38:16] fine like yeah something like that could have been really cool like to add in of like this thing

[00:38:20] like talking to her and then like normalizing her a little like half normalizing her basically.

[00:38:33] Yeah the steam is actually not a demon it's actually just an alien yeah this is a bit of black

[00:38:38] wow we ruined it yeah I don't think we ruined it we made it better

[00:38:43] we're worse or better to pull from another alien thing invaders in

[00:38:53] but I'll move on to the next thing I have here. Bannock suddenly spun me around and pinned me

[00:38:59] against the wall his arms braced on either side of my head my eyes snapped up at him in shock

[00:39:06] and I recoiled from what I saw there what the fuck are you doing here I was I was just why did

[00:39:13] you come back Katie after all these fucking years my objection died in my throat but it couldn't be

[00:39:21] it wasn't possible and yet somehow it was and so as soon as I got this part I was like

[00:39:30] it's not true that's impossible

[00:39:34] or just like what Bannock was Jamie well played CK Walker well fucking played I did not see

[00:39:46] that coming at all honestly I had a sneaking suspicion I never got a last name and but like

[00:39:53] no we didn't we did get we did get a full name we did get actually get two names for him it was

[00:39:58] Bannock and then we got a then we got a first name I can't lecture some shit I thought it was

[00:40:03] like something with the D like Danny or something like that I think but I don't know yeah because of

[00:40:08] how much the previous one was like it jaymus is hammering out you're not me yeah yeah I'm like well

[00:40:15] it could not be but I'm gonna read what's here and it seemed like it was I completely did not

[00:40:23] like have any like I thought honestly he was just going to be like like the the big angry

[00:40:29] like bodyguard of jaymus and like that was it like his henchman I had no idea at the place to get

[00:40:35] her by himself that kind of started showing the seeds of death as to why the hell he's there by himself

[00:40:43] the roles have been reversed sir because I had no fucking read I get I just like I just thought it's

[00:40:48] like oh bannock's here to come to either execute Katie or or pick her up and bring her back to

[00:40:52] jaymus and yeah like um and then so after that like revelation for me it was what a revelation

[00:41:02] after that my my next comment next comment to myself was what's next jaymus and scott is actually

[00:41:08] the bad guy cut to my next comment I saw you take my key card you know you played the

[00:41:17] the role perfectly in fact everything went according to plan except him scott kicked jaymus and the ribs

[00:41:25] but he didn't make a sound what do you want ice bat your name came up I want you to die why

[00:41:34] scott gave a pretentious scoff this isn't a jaymus bond movie miss Ross I don't need to explain

[00:41:41] myself to you and so this I'm just like really because you do kind of sound like a bond villain

[00:41:48] right now yeah miss Ross I expect to die yeah straight up yeah so like yeah obviously like I

[00:41:57] didn't actually think that like I didn't I didn't actually like get like surprised when jaymus

[00:42:01] turned it to be a bad guy because when when the henchman all showed up is pretty obvious yeah

[00:42:07] anyone standing there with henchman is a media bad guy yeah um but yeah so like this isn't a jaymus

[00:42:15] bond movie miss Ross I don't need to explain myself to you he's been a cat and he's like

[00:42:23] and like like I like a slow like the better access is like death ray is slowly like coming down on

[00:42:31] no miss Ross I expect you to die I just love that it's just like oh yeah so move on to the next

[00:42:40] thing I have here this is more about jaymus and scott and such you know I was 50 by the time the

[00:42:47] internet was invented 50 what's sad irony then that I was a technological genius oh but the universe

[00:42:55] does love its sick jokes do you realize I've single-handedly guided the history of modern technology

[00:43:03] it's true but I reached my 70s and then my 80s and my vision began to fail my hands would shake

[00:43:10] I'd forget coding I could barely manage to read at one point and this I was like hang on a second

[00:43:18] so I kept reading further and I got this the first thing I did was track down the man whose name

[00:43:25] was etched into the granite at meta-axis his feet I I presented him for sacrifice and I was rewarded

[00:43:35] that was six years ago I adopted a new name and started a new company okay so

[00:43:43] the age in the math doesn't actually line up but for a hot minute I wondered if jaymuson was secretly

[00:43:50] Steve Jobs who died in 2011 a reasonable amount of time between then and 2009 which would be six years

[00:44:03] from the stories present in 2015 but the only problem is Jobs died at age of 50 at the age of 56

[00:44:13] unless as an as an effect of the gift and power of meta-axis reality had to like alter some things around

[00:44:22] and have hazardly like change some details yeah or so no one could think that it's him yeah

[00:44:29] like legit I started looking up other tech moguls who had died in 2009 I didn't find any

[00:44:37] surprisingly I mean both from a story point of view and from reality point of view there probably

[00:44:42] wasn't anybody but like there could have been exactly yeah but like yeah for a moment it was like

[00:44:50] wait is this secretly Steve Jobs yeah but yeah so that was uh that was a fun little like thing I

[00:45:00] don't know if like maybe like like I don't obviously think like the author like drew like like was

[00:45:05] pulling from like making it fictionalizing a natural person but like maybe they drew inspiration

[00:45:09] from just like tech moguls and stuff in general oh so this is definitely the kind of thing that

[00:45:15] billionaire tech mogul would do like if they were given the chance they would definitely try and prolong

[00:45:20] their life um to keep making money and keep like living and and keep ending in a jones style plot because like

[00:45:29] it has magic in it but it's it's a techie version of it oh my god this is an economic horror

[00:45:35] to degree because the rich is the this rich asshole is literally using a demon to prolong his life

[00:45:42] and sacrificing poor slubs who have no no reason like no no uh no reasons to be like extinguish

[00:45:50] from reality just so he could survive and continue guiding human advancement for his own ends

[00:45:58] like but eyeglasses were cool I mean the eyeglasses were we're pretty cool and like yeah

[00:46:06] and man like can induction recharging like charging and something was like gonna be so big

[00:46:11] so big everybody loved it yeah but uh feeling we're getting ahead of ourselves probably

[00:46:17] uh but i'll so i'll move on to the next thing I have here um

[00:46:23] yeah so there's uh so this is another one where i'm like i read something and then

[00:46:27] i had another like i had to include another paragraph of comment to uh to back up my my uh

[00:46:33] uh my uh my comment on the quote so um since i looked older and the town was getting weary of me

[00:46:42] anyway i joined the local police force and spent my nights on patrol downtown keeping an eye

[00:46:48] on the thing reapplying sigils and so this is a part where like so Jamie like when he was younger

[00:46:55] like was going from town to town and like and then just joined the local police state like the

[00:47:00] police force i was like us police recruitment must be really different compared to Canada you can

[00:47:05] just go in and sign up no no credentials or or academy but then later yeah yeah but then later we

[00:47:13] get that we do get this um uh i applied to be on his detail but was denied no name no experience

[00:47:22] i only got on because i was able to take out all of his bodyguards in a sort of hand-to-hand combat

[00:47:28] trial guess all those trips through the police academy finally paid off okay so he did go into a police

[00:47:35] academy but i'm just because because getting through the hell is and that's another part of my point

[00:47:42] it's like Jamie like it seems like Jamie probably wouldn't have even really had much in the way of

[00:47:48] like identification um or like it would be very possible that he would eat his status would have been

[00:47:54] like a non-citizen at that point um so we would have had to like get like forged documents or

[00:47:59] like ID in order to like pass and like they tend to be really fucking damn good to be to go into

[00:48:04] like a police academy and to be a local law enforcement right no man like all right no no first off

[00:48:12] you right second off i'm not sure because like in regards to uh Jamie and Katie like who knows them

[00:48:22] and how much of their stuff is still like valid in regards to ID because like

[00:48:27] metaraxis doesn't seem to give a shit about wiping them from existence until he does

[00:48:32] well they're like both were infected because uh sorry good

[00:48:36] well they're lies both were infected like even Katie like her whole family life like

[00:48:39] their family like after her dad died like her mom treated her like she didn't was even her daughter

[00:48:43] anymore so like i think that was also partly that was sort of like another nod of like metaraxis

[00:48:48] like a racist partially a racing or from reality or making people kind of forget about her like basically

[00:48:52] she got disassociated from reality yeah but i feel like we need more information on that in regards

[00:48:57] to as you said identification yeah and like like who actually knows them anymore because it kind

[00:49:02] of feels like things wipe but like people know who she is still and know who he is still

[00:49:08] like like back when he was a kid um and his whole family was wiped out and he was living alone

[00:49:14] the house people just like oh yeah he's that kid that lives alone in that house kind of a weirdo

[00:49:19] yeah his family died and they left him the house so he just he's there by himself i think a nanny

[00:49:24] comes by and sees him every once in a while yeah or then just and then he just mentioned he becomes

[00:49:28] like oh she's that weird kid that just like loitering in that house that he doesn't own right yeah

[00:49:34] she's like basically he just becomes like again becomes like like a nobody homeless person pretty much

[00:49:40] um yeah it on like to kind of sum up this whole thing it's like this just begged more questions

[00:49:46] than answers to me like this whole like him getting a job at the as a local police police force

[00:49:52] like to to monitors like i don't know if that would have worked out based off the scenario we have here

[00:49:59] like he was also like 12 like he would have been like 15 16 maybe maybe kind of getting into his

[00:50:05] but then he was also apparently aging different which they do eventually explain why he was kind

[00:50:09] of aging like faster than uh than jet uh than than Katie i actually didn't catch that um actually

[00:50:17] it's in my notes down the road down here so yeah um but yeah like there's just it begged a lot of

[00:50:22] questions to me uh more than answers about like his whole like him getting a police job

[00:50:27] so yeah and part of that of the confusion is just like we don't get a clear answer as to

[00:50:35] what matter access does to white people because like does he physically eat every single person

[00:50:41] yeah does he have to manually eat every person to wipe them from existence i think that's

[00:50:46] honestly what he does like he just he pops up and like his mouth becomes otherworldly wide and he

[00:50:51] just swallows somebody whole in a supernatural way that also like removes them from from from the

[00:50:56] equation of life and reality and he also has to do it to every single person in a town yeah with no

[00:51:02] one seeing him do it every time and dude this is the false hydro situation the thing is like people

[00:51:08] like he he amid some kind of like signal or some kind of presence that makes people forget about him

[00:51:14] as soon as they walk away from him but he doesn't because Katie and Jamie remember him but

[00:51:18] that's because they were marked yeah i think the reason why they weren't in fact it was because

[00:51:22] they were at they kind of bring it up where like we were kind of right at the very in the you know

[00:51:27] first episode of this where like they were marked or like they were basically at the epicenter

[00:51:32] and like they've been tagged by by metaraxis for later i mean that's really just assumed there's

[00:51:38] no concrete evidence there of that i feel like they do suggest that in this this version of the

[00:51:43] story or in this in this in this in this third episode in this third story so i don't know yeah

[00:51:51] again there there definitely could be some more elaboration on that because there's a lot of like

[00:51:55] like they catch up a little bit but then like when they ask like the big questions like how

[00:51:59] what have you been up to elastic is like or like when how do you how do you get the second son of a

[00:52:04] Roman of a Roman Catholic like you don't want to don't ask me i'll tell you later so with that

[00:52:09] yeah it's like yeah we're done we don't even get like a i'll tell you later it's like don't ask me how

[00:52:13] it's like no i want to know fucker yeah yeah um but i'll move on to my next thing if you're okay with that

[00:52:23] no we're staying here forever all right fair um i asked myself that until oh i asked myself that

[00:52:32] until a few years ago when your name came up i think it needed me to find you ironically

[00:52:41] in the end it didn't need me at all you came anyway i thought about that i thought about that and

[00:52:48] wondered this sort of that was that was Jamie talking explaining like why it hadn't eaten him yet

[00:52:55] and then this is now Katie talking i thought about that and wondered for the first time

[00:53:01] if i actually had come back to prove myself sane had i really intended to kill it or prove

[00:53:08] i'd been right or had it actually been about Jamie all along and to this i was like bingo

[00:53:14] Jamie was the bait for you this was just a big long con you were the Katie was the one that got away

[00:53:22] and so the creature kept Jamie alive so that eventually their like Jamie and Katie's bond would

[00:53:29] draw her back i think that's to answer what you were we were just asking earlier about like why did

[00:53:35] it keep them alive i think that's honestly what this was it was like it Katie because like Katie got

[00:53:40] away from the town before it could devour it like she she escaped it but it wanted her back so like it

[00:53:46] kept Jamie around so that there was that bond between them but you know what's strange

[00:53:52] mm-hmm meta-raxist wants to be known he wants to be known and he wants to be worship yeah how is he

[00:53:59] going to be known in worship if he just wipes everyone that knows him it's sort of it's sort of a

[00:54:05] double sword like he wants to be known he now wants to be known and worshiped but he still has to

[00:54:10] feed on like his sustenance is still people like like people and their experiences in reality yes

[00:54:18] but so yeah her out there even only for one thing the style um yeah um

[00:54:24] spouting that meta-raxist is really wiping everyone from memory

[00:54:29] that is getting him exposure yeah it's like hell this story is giving him exposure like this being

[00:54:36] on reddit is giving is technically giving him exposure yeah like we now know the name meta-raxist

[00:54:41] through this reddit no sleep story yes my point is like why not just leave her out there spreading

[00:54:47] the quote unquote good word of meta-raxist because that's what he did yeah that that is true yeah oh

[00:54:53] again like it's it's sort of like the it's personally I guess either it took a personally or

[00:54:58] it's just like the way his like the way his nature is like he has to eat he can't he he doesn't get

[00:55:05] full sustenance unless he feeds on the person that is that pops up on his pedestal and the other

[00:55:11] way to think of it is like okay he'd let her go for a while at the start probably because he wants

[00:55:16] to be known but he doesn't necessarily choose who's next to be sacrificed yeah like the name just

[00:55:24] came up it's like okay I guess she's gotta go now yeah there could be like yeah it could be like

[00:55:28] the product of some kind of like higher power like and that's like this might be like because meta-raxist

[00:55:32] is a demon and like generally demons are like evil spirits or even like fallen angels or what have

[00:55:37] you in in various mythologies so this could be basically like meta-raxist's punishment by god or

[00:55:42] something like that or the higher power is that he has to he will only get proper nourishment from

[00:55:48] eating the person that was on his that's on his plaque basically in some weird fucked up cosmic

[00:55:56] judgment but yeah again more questions and answers I'll move on to the next thing here which

[00:56:06] is another thing about that I love it I love it no one love it and I hate it at the same time

[00:56:17] a sigil will slow it down but in order to stop it the ward needs to be blessed and not just by

[00:56:23] anyone by the second son of a Roman Catholic preferably from a cc Italy I'm pretty sure that we've

[00:56:30] been pronouncing that wrong but I don't care yeah or at least near the region don't ask me how I

[00:56:37] figured that out cop out wow seriously a little bit more elaboration would have actually been cool

[00:56:46] hell I would have even taken like if we get out of this I'll tell you how I figured that out

[00:56:52] sometime over a few years maybe like that I would have accepted that honestly like

[00:56:59] just just even just the promise that Katie's at least going to get the answer

[00:57:04] yeah but like don't ask me how I figured that out I hate that in stories like no tell me how you

[00:57:10] found that out I'm curious it happened there's it's happened a couple times in like some I remember

[00:57:15] the the most prominent one in my mind for like where I've heard that happen and get agua't an oid

[00:57:20] is from a slender vlog actually trial of leaves or trail of leaves where like halfway through the

[00:57:28] near the end of the series one of their friends one of the guys like who's like been vlogging this

[00:57:32] whole thing the whole like weird mystery and like dangers and stuff comes back with like knowledge

[00:57:38] about how to like properly like go into the into the slender reality and like maybe even like fight

[00:57:43] the demon creatures that are in there and like when he's asked like yeah I got this book in this

[00:57:48] blade don't ask me how I found it it's like no I hate you why why would you do that to me yeah

[00:57:55] at least tell me where you found it like it's you found it through some research online or like

[00:58:00] by like digging into by digging into some like thrift stores or something like that or you broke into

[00:58:04] like a friggin long lost like like Catholic vault or something I don't know just yeah something better

[00:58:13] yeah um but I'll move on to the next thing here you're a brilliant bastard James

[00:58:19] carous and now we have James Jamie's last name I guess though I guess Bannock was an alias

[00:58:30] maybe he he did actually get forged IDs for when he was partially banishing and from society

[00:58:35] and reality I don't know I just when when she said like you're brilliant bastard James James

[00:58:41] James carous I was like James carous is that his last name I don't know yeah cuz I mean like

[00:58:51] we know that like Katie's Caitlin Ross but yeah it's just weird because like he was going by Bannock

[00:58:56] so I just like okay so I guess it's Jamie Bannock but no it's yeah when I don't get as like what's

[00:59:02] the point of him using a different name yeah I really feel like they need to they need to explain that

[00:59:08] like it's not like he's on the run for many while yeah like he he's using a different name

[00:59:15] for in the event that his name shows up on the demon stone oh shit

[00:59:24] I'm okay with that yeah okay I wish that was mentioned like like even like when they're in the car

[00:59:32] like driving back like driving to deep was like so Bannock what's that about and it's like oh it's

[00:59:37] like there there we go done it's added to the story done yeah or yeah cuz I would even say

[00:59:42] like like what like well some of that small talk while they were like in the room but to be eaten by

[00:59:46] the demons like so Bannock huh like yeah that would have been interesting but no um we just get like

[00:59:53] she he just always knew her name or his name was uh his last name was Karrus and now and just

[00:59:58] now reveals it uh it was moving on to the next thing my favorite one actually or we're getting

[01:00:09] to some of the way favorite bits actually for like my comments and quote from the quotes and such

[01:00:14] um Jamie drew back or so yeah Jamie Jamie drew a black marker out of his pocket and drew a long line

[01:00:21] down the middle of the city that that bugs me now that really bugs me now thanks I hate it

[01:00:29] negating it so we pulled out a pencil drew marker on the wall pulled a real marker out of

[01:00:34] the drawn marker and marks wall yeah moving on um so yeah so he's he's pulling the marker out to like

[01:00:43] negate the sigils like the wards and sigils and so I was like what are you doing just trust me Jamie

[01:00:47] pushed back uh push me back out the door we don't have to outrun the demon we just have to outrun

[01:00:53] the city again just like just like don't worry the city of Lanternberg will be our hit will be our

[01:01:03] getaway or our smoke screen yeah he might be desensitized to a mine app it's very possible to say that

[01:01:11] yeah it very possible and then we get this the spit bit which is both awesome and kind of weird for me

[01:01:20] how did you unlock that door I asked as we ran across the parking lot Scott isn't the only one who's

[01:01:26] good at pro good with programming Jamie yelled back I followed him to a black Jeep sitting at the

[01:01:32] edge of the parking lot we jumped in just as a loud bang echoed across the asphalt god only knew

[01:01:39] what it meant Jamie showed his keys in the ignition and turned the car over the beginning

[01:01:47] cords of highway to hell blasted from the speakers okay this shit's about to go down with an action

[01:01:54] pasta yeah it's really what it felt like like that is when it shifted gears oh yeah yeah yeah

[01:02:06] it there we definitely went in we started like going into like thriller territory with the story or like

[01:02:14] like I mean you thought the music video yeah I'm at the genre where it's like

[01:02:19] yeah it's like horror is is horror genre like and creepy like where creepypuses kind of well it's

[01:02:28] it's with like it's a it's a focus on fear and fear alone and there's very disparate moments and

[01:02:34] like there's some like false hopes and some of that it's very dark but when you add action to a

[01:02:40] horror genre story it becomes a thriller where it kind of blends in the thriller like the horror

[01:02:46] aspects and the scary stuff with action and they have like almost sort of like tampers the horror

[01:02:52] with the action and it makes it a different kind of like not it turns it from fear to like

[01:02:59] tenseness and like anxiety anxious events rather than like fearful events yeah um and that's kind

[01:03:06] of where the story eventually ended up for me whereas like it it has tense moments and even some

[01:03:13] creepy mood um here and there but now it's just going it's about to go full blow well what I

[01:03:19] thought was about to go full blown chasing in a car rock music playing on the radio um yeah

[01:03:27] and and this feels more in line with like the stuff from like I dared my best friend to ruin slash

[01:03:31] end of my life series of reddit news stories where like we got those like tense action moments where

[01:03:36] like they're trying to escape the cultists in their car and like crashing through like light through

[01:03:42] roads and stuff like that I don't hate it it was just not what I was expecting from the story which

[01:03:47] I don't know why because by the second story we kind of had like an organization of bodyguards

[01:03:52] in this rich guy I probably should have seen some kind of actions like espionage action sequence

[01:03:59] like epi-kiay mother fucker kind of situation going on but a gun was referenced in the second

[01:04:05] entry yeah it was check ups gun actually no it wasn't Jamie's gun it was Jameson's gun yeah

[01:04:15] for stuff um and then the next thing we have yes that that's what I was like I didn't hate

[01:04:20] the the the sun's shifting of gears to an action pasta it just I didn't see it coming I didn't

[01:04:27] see a lot of things coming apparently from this in this story which I should have but yeah

[01:04:32] in my life yeah thanks I hate it yes

[01:04:41] isn't wrong oh which not

[01:04:46] uh i'll move on to the next thing I have here where are we going deepwood fuck

[01:04:53] I said as I leaned back in the chair but I trusted Jamie so I didn't object want to take

[01:04:59] the creature days to make it here or days to make it there I asked I and Jamie's spedometer

[01:05:06] which was at 90 it doesn't always move like that it sometimes travels on on another plane

[01:05:14] I can't explain it everything changes and warps around that thing at even time that's why

[01:05:20] I'm about eight years older than I should be okay so that's actually I don't know I find

[01:05:25] that really interesting that this thing it can use like it can basically affect space time by

[01:05:32] basically like planar jaunting between like this reality and like I guess the demon reality

[01:05:37] to basically blink around or like dim dimension door around to use dungeon dragon's terms

[01:05:44] but like you know but the the spell or the the power it's using these spell like abilities it's

[01:05:49] using also affect the real reality in the real world as it kind of affects the reality just by

[01:05:54] its other traits and demonic nature so that also explains why by Jamie is eight years older than

[01:06:05] then than Katie physically now is because the issue uh because reality itself ages or time

[01:06:13] time in a localized area around the demon fluctuates when it's uh when it's basically creating

[01:06:19] a singularity or traveling or ripping a hole between reality and another yeah but the

[01:06:31] okay so going back to the first story yep time moved quicker and they go oh the sun's already

[01:06:39] setting what when they were nearing close to it but for the time still moved that amount of time

[01:06:49] so it's a time dilation but like again there's like there's some it causes weird anomalies where

[01:06:55] where where it's where it hangs out and sticks around also that one that was when he was in

[01:07:00] the basement of the church warded yeah yeah that one it was free yeah also the town who knows what

[01:07:07] happens like if they were to go if they were actually to go explore the the lots and like locations where

[01:07:11] like the other towns no longer exist and just like all the weird trees the word force and trees

[01:07:17] exist there might be other like weird time anomalies they're like or time dilations as well it also

[01:07:23] might also kind of explain a lot of the weird apple action like trail stuff with um

[01:07:28] like people having lost time and like when and getting lost in the woods and stuff the

[01:07:32] matter actually just been hanging out in the apple action trail or the in this neck of the woods

[01:07:36] basically um creating weird anomalies with it's just by by moving around and with its presence

[01:07:45] so so I did it does sort of explain the weird like lost time that they suffered in the in the

[01:07:51] previous stories but um i'll move on to the next thing here

[01:07:56] um if he was already down here why couldn't we stay up there i whispered he wasn't there were no

[01:08:07] words to protect us now and nowhere to run I couldn't help thinking this was a bad plan well

[01:08:14] he's here now so let's go we can't Katie if we leave now will he will too well then what's your

[01:08:22] plan Jamie and just then Jamie pushed Katie into the demon to appease it psych I was kind of expecting

[01:08:30] that same it doesn't happen yeah it would have been really it would have been really cool

[01:08:39] and then like even if it had done like done that and then like it was sort of like a a double hamlet

[01:08:44] it like a fake out where like because apparently he had inscribed a ward on her chest and his chest

[01:08:50] to like so that when when the creature went to eat them like something happened like it let out some

[01:08:55] kind of a pulse or something did he do that previously that's what it sounds like again it's

[01:09:02] it's something that I feel it should have been brought like should have been like brought up like

[01:09:05] Jamie she's like i'm sorry i had to do this but like uh when we're when you're passed out in the uh

[01:09:09] in the room with the demon i put a ward on your on your chest or on your on your stomach or something

[01:09:14] yeah i wish it was mentioned like it's mentioned that the wards there but like

[01:09:19] how i read it was they're down there yeah and then as she's being eaten he busts out the sharpie

[01:09:28] and just like does like a ninja suit like warning yeah yeah which made me think like okay

[01:09:37] he's drawing it like on her shirt which is like ruffling and moving so it's not going to be perfect

[01:09:43] but then maybe i'm like okay maybe she's wearing like a v-neck situation she's and he's drawing it

[01:09:48] like under her collarbone on on that chest there yeah and then it's like okay maybe then it's more solid

[01:09:54] of yeah we don't get on at that point she is being eaten by metarachis so i'm she's probably not

[01:10:02] standing perfectly still for him to drop well maybe maybe he maybe she is because like her soul

[01:10:07] being sucked out but like her body's just like standing there stiffly so like me was like all right

[01:10:11] now's the time yeah yeah but like partly though she said that the sigil only works what's blessed by a

[01:10:21] second son of a roman catholic yeah but like he says this has he had to figure this out specifically

[01:10:28] which would make us assume well that creamy isn't the second son of a roman catholic so no no

[01:10:33] work work well here's the thing here's the thing he said that the word slow it down but unless

[01:10:39] they're blessed they won't stop him dude that word did not slow down that either procedure it stopped

[01:10:46] it yeah that's true oh my one weakness oh fuck you yeah see at this point i feel like jabie

[01:10:57] should have said like don't worry i had the second son of a roman catholic from a cc um bless my

[01:11:03] permanent marker or it's like joke showing you i am the second son of a roman catholic yeah i

[01:11:11] just get to figure out that that was specifically why i don't know why i don't know why like that

[01:11:17] why wasn't that just the thing like like it's like having to hunt down a second son yeah like

[01:11:22] why couldn't jamey have just been the second son of a roman catholic yeah i found out like i was

[01:11:27] learning sigils and people were helping me do it they didn't work when they did it but it worked

[01:11:32] when i did we found it why yeah and that's why maybe that's why jameson kept him on board like as well

[01:11:40] because he could actually implement the sigils as well so yeah

[01:11:45] there were a couple of better too many questions

[01:11:50] like like just some simple like offhand like descriptions or like mentions would have fixed some

[01:11:56] of these problems yeah there's no like entire paragraphs that need to be added in for this

[01:12:00] information it's just one liners you know yeah that's that's all that needs to be said

[01:12:05] we don't need to know details we just need to have all the threads connected you know yeah

[01:12:13] and uh we'll go to the next one i have here and falling in line with me

[01:12:18] switching switching spots with gamer today apparently

[01:12:21] um fuck you my last words was my last word was drowned out by a loud cracking sound

[01:12:29] that echoed through the little church as the spiral staircase came crashing down below okay

[01:12:36] i for sure thought that the crack sound like or the that cracking sound

[01:12:41] was from the gun that jameson scott had on jamey as he plugged his plugged jamey in the head

[01:12:48] yeah like i was like fuck you bang all right now now go about it go into the pit i'm like okay

[01:12:54] shit james did but no it was the spiral staircase came crashing down apparently i guess

[01:13:00] the demon's just like having a fit down there i was climbing up the moody fast maybe yeah

[01:13:07] they tried climbing the period but now they're too old they just collapsed yeah yeah that could be

[01:13:13] yes it's been a number of years since last i've been climbing them yeah but yeah i don't have like a

[01:13:21] i shot him bang with my glance oh oh oh yeah but it was sort of one of those moments where

[01:13:28] it's just like i thought the cracking sound was gonna be something else but yeah

[01:13:33] uh then the next thing here um jamey jerked his body forward and threw himself and scott

[01:13:40] into the dark hole between us no i screamed as scott's men scattered out the door

[01:13:49] that's that's weird it's like i screamed i get i get it's like she's screaming as the

[01:13:54] the background stuff's happening but it seemed like i screamed as the scott said no come

[01:14:00] yeah it's like she's screaming because they left yeah but that's actually not what i

[01:14:05] what i what i want to comment about on that it's like wow those goons are terrible

[01:14:09] they they just fled at the first sign that their boss was in trouble yeah or some running

[01:14:15] guards there then again maybe they're just really smart and quick thinking because like

[01:14:21] they they see what this they've seen what this thing can do when it's like unleashed

[01:14:26] and they just see their boss go into the pit is like well boss is fucked let's get out let's get

[01:14:30] the fuck out of here yeah they're both in like not dependable but also relative too smart for goons

[01:14:39] it really are because like well it's surprised not even one of them like even try it yeah

[01:14:45] well you know it's just yeah the goons didn't have to be there yeah the goons were like there

[01:14:51] yeah i'm surprised they didn't just start firing or something like that like like they like

[01:14:55] they just oh shit boss fuck let's get the hell out of here boss went down the hole let's get

[01:14:59] the hell out of here yeah boss fuck down oh whoa we're so singing that

[01:15:03] okay well it's the realizations like oh boss is good well i'm not getting paid anymore

[01:15:11] that's good any yeah right that's probably what it looks like yeah well we've seen what that

[01:15:17] demon has done in the past and bosses went down into a pit with it fuck that he's dead

[01:15:22] we're not getting paid boys let's go find a let's go let's go find another uh another client

[01:15:27] just immediately any funnier and it would be they're just like they just like like uh like put

[01:15:32] put their guns away and just walk out casually yeah like don't even like each other just casually

[01:15:38] just walking it's like god damn it like great now we got to find new client

[01:15:44] my wife's gonna be pissed

[01:15:48] um but yeah so that was my comment on that is like man these are both the worst guards and also

[01:15:54] the smartest guards but uh i'll move on to the next thing i have by the dawn of the fourth day

[01:16:03] he and all his inventions abruptly disappeared from the world there were a few i was sad to see go

[01:16:10] like the rise of inductive charging and eye glasses eye glasses being like EYE glasses or eye

[01:16:18] normal glass eye glasses are you serious like i thought it was like an i would have expected

[01:16:25] would have been like an eye like the letter i glasses that that's only for apple products yeah which

[01:16:32] is why i kind of thought this was kind of going but um and yeah like actual glasses that you

[01:16:38] wear to correct yeah yeah you're right yes yeah yeah yeah so it's kind of these are these are

[01:16:43] TM these these are eye glasses TM it's horrible I know but it's horrible breathing on this part

[01:16:51] so it's glad that they're gone yeah yeah but yeah you would have loved eyeglass and you probably did

[01:16:58] honestly contact lenses that were actually cameras they put go pro out of business

[01:17:05] i could never afford it but you may have had one i missed those youtube videos actually you know what

[01:17:12] it's eyeglass eyeglass yeah but if you're talking about multiple of them it would be eyeglasses

[01:17:18] yeah which is terrible because that's a different thing because that's glass

[01:17:21] correct usually yeah um but yeah so with this like this reference of like these inventions or

[01:17:27] the rise of things that like that uh jamesen brought to the world now because he's gone and because

[01:17:32] reality had to uh because he's white from reality all of his inventions are also kind of gone or at

[01:17:38] least diminished i i like that we get some detail at least a few details these are the one few times

[01:17:43] we in this story we actually get some details that went into like that of some of his inventions

[01:17:50] that went with jamesen's god um like out of all the other details i would have liked in this story

[01:17:57] i'm at least glad that this part was added yeah um he was talking about how like he's had multiple

[01:18:05] patents yeah and like help the world technological technologically wise and so it's good to see

[01:18:13] dimension specifically what yeah uh and i mean he does also is like so basically he was a leading

[01:18:21] partner in the rise of induction charging and so like apparently in that future in this in that

[01:18:26] version of reality induction charging really took off versus like plugging and like plugging in a

[01:18:31] phone or that you just put it on one of those induction discs and charge that way but he didn't

[01:18:37] just rate of invent out isn't it what is not how it is now with wireless charging well you know

[01:18:42] that wireless charging but that again like that was like in 2015 it was like in this in his in the

[01:18:48] reality of the story before he before he was vanished um it was like they were on the rise whereas

[01:18:53] now that they they'd actually kind of diminished after that so and and that actually makes sense to

[01:18:58] like well in accordance with our own world because like induction was supposed to be the next big thing

[01:19:03] but it didn't really catch like they're out there now and they're starting again again come back

[01:19:08] but like they're original they're initial like kind of uh arrival on the scene um it was kind of met

[01:19:15] with like too expensive or like kind of impractical or like people just didn't get it and like so

[01:19:21] like they I remember like them being like really big and then like a few months later

[01:19:27] they people were still using cable like charging cables instead of that rather than induction discs so

[01:19:31] well it's no well it's a thing where

[01:19:40] while I'm talking about the induction still I know you weren't good

[01:19:43] uh it's a thing where the um the whole induction stuff has been around for years

[01:19:54] yeah it takes a while for things or people to use them uh for instance like it

[01:20:02] Samsung had it two years before Apple did yeah so it was also that that slowed it down

[01:20:09] it's still a thing most newer phones have it just people don't use it because they don't have the

[01:20:17] charger yeah my mom has one um that she uses occasionally so but she also has a cable to

[01:20:25] play but she uses she does have like a a little like disc on our on our coffee table that she

[01:20:30] she'll put her phone on so are they slower just like more convenience well they're they're fast charging

[01:20:37] now yeah so it's just as fast as a cable and it's actually technically better for your phone

[01:20:43] because you don't have to keep jamming a cord into it yeah yeah you're not wearing out of connection

[01:20:48] I've also seen like they're also like now like they're getting a lot more trendy or like

[01:20:52] I've seen ones that are like like you put it on and it creates it starts glowing like like

[01:20:56] outward from the epicenter to show like a like a sigil circle or like a like a doctor strange circle

[01:21:01] or even like um uh tears of the kingdom or breath of wild like the sheikah slate thing when you

[01:21:06] like when it like you'll start seeing like the glowing ruins like uh uh start like glowing outward

[01:21:11] uh to the edges that's cool so yeah right like I would love I would upgrade yeah honestly yeah

[01:21:21] if we got in so in this story apparently in that in that this reality like they would really

[01:21:25] took off initially but because Jameson was was removed from reality they went into decline

[01:21:31] yeah and then and then his straight up invention the uh the eyeglass just is gone and GoPro is back on top

[01:21:42] but yeah so I just liked the little addition of like that detail of like we actually got some

[01:21:47] uh some of his inventions because they had been mentioned through the stories like that he was a tech

[01:21:51] he was big in the tech industry uh and that he had a bunch of patents says like well what kind of

[01:21:55] patents like you're just being very vague with this so it was cool that we actually got some at least

[01:22:00] some detail about that uh and then more like he's a real character and he's not just there to be a

[01:22:06] villain yeah also again like I the what the products that were mentioned did also still kind of make

[01:22:15] me think it's like is he just like a not not again not like straight up the the character but is he

[01:22:20] like sort of a uh a parody of like Steve Jobs or like or he could just be like any how Tecmo will

[01:22:26] of that period like Elon Musk or whatever third kind of interchangeable in a way yeah but um

[01:22:33] yeah I'm going to the last thing I have with the quote is uh deepwood is dead only Jamie and I even know

[01:22:42] where it is some so so the town dies with us I wouldn't try to find it if I were you I've changed a

[01:22:50] lot of the details names of towns names of roads perhaps even when this all happened

[01:22:57] I won't tell you and you don't want to know anyway so to this I'm like clever very clever

[01:23:04] but were they intentionally altered in the story or did metaraxis's consumption after your uh

[01:23:10] or like like his his consumption and of various things and peoples augment your own memories

[01:23:22] yeah it was just like uh that's like I actually thought that was actually pretty clever like from a

[01:23:25] writing point of view of like like don't try to find it we're like we're not like like I've you

[01:23:30] I've gone ahead and changed a bunch of like place names and even roadnages which goes into what we

[01:23:35] were talking about like last episode when when she was like looking around for the town and she

[01:23:39] what she went to the uh the one road that is not where it's supposed to be and so that is because

[01:23:44] it's been changed for the story so that no one can actually find it find the real location which is

[01:23:50] smart yep now but uh that is the end of my actual thoughts Mikey these stands for evil

[01:24:00] okay so

[01:24:02] so the first couple of actual thoughts here that I have are along the same lines so they

[01:24:12] have in different points but they're the same thing which is I had to rewrite the scene in my head

[01:24:22] oh that's my favorite thing to do so when she's in the room with the statue uh surrounded by

[01:24:34] velvet ropes yep and then she goes up to it she's underneath it

[01:24:42] and then suddenly it's revealed that the statue was encased in glass

[01:24:47] was it yeah it was you're right yeah yeah the the glass encasing it on either side shattered

[01:24:57] the makeshift wall behind split into and the velvet ropes came crashing down okay no they don't

[01:25:05] want you to damage the glass here's a thing the I think I don't maybe I'm maybe I'm wrong

[01:25:11] but I thought the I thought the glass that she that was getting smashed by the tail where the glass

[01:25:15] displays in the rest of the room around the statue oh yeah it's encasing it because there were

[01:25:23] but it does say in case it says in case it yep okay then I I misread that and I assumed it was like

[01:25:30] the other glass displays in the room of all the other relics and stuff okay yeah that's really

[01:25:35] why it doesn't mention that in the second story at all it doesn't know it gets men to be the ones

[01:25:41] around it it should be not encasing but surrounding it maybe yeah yeah taken out of context but

[01:25:48] it could be it could still be vague but yeah yeah that that seems like a real big plothal right there

[01:25:54] because like that was not mentioned in the any descriptions previous of the statue is yeah I thought

[01:25:59] he was just out yep okay all right then my next thing here I mean is I suddenly heard the sound

[01:26:16] like a book slamming onto a table and then we get Jamie clutching his arm blood oozing

[01:26:25] and then a few paragraphs later it's revealed I stumbled over to Jamie but Scott stopped me with

[01:26:34] a single click of his gun so it's at that point he says oh it was a gunshot that we heard earlier

[01:26:43] see I just know okay honestly I caught it right away yeah because a lot of the times when I

[01:26:48] described the way that a silencer actually sounds it is like dropping a book on the ground

[01:26:54] like it's not look at the movies can't be like walking through a busy like airport just shooting at

[01:27:02] each other with no one being the wiser it's loud yeah it's still loud it just doesn't sound

[01:27:07] specifically like a gunshot anymore you'd be like yeah that noise and so the whole problem being

[01:27:12] shot at that's the difference yeah it should really be like they shouldn't call them gun like

[01:27:17] silencers they should call mufflers because that's where it does it muffles the noise to basically a

[01:27:22] book being a slam on the ground realistically they're not called silencers they are called

[01:27:26] suppressors because they suppress the right yeah it's but everybody calls them slightly called

[01:27:31] silence yeah by basically pop culture media silencers yeah yeah because it sounds cooler than

[01:27:41] suppressors or something yeah well again because then because in movies you get like

[01:27:45] do do do rather than like like yeah yeah cuz like that's basically more it's more it's a louder like

[01:27:53] punch but it's not the gun blast that you get yes I had an unfair advantage hearing this sound

[01:28:01] effect first because when I was first heard a book noise in the middle of a freaking cuffuffle

[01:28:08] I immediately thought good see I thought I was I'm kind of with a mic you said a little bit I

[01:28:14] guess on this because I thought it was just the the sound was representing Jamie falling to the ground

[01:28:20] like like a book hitting the ground having like because that would have probably sounded very

[01:28:27] kind of similar like kind of a larger meteor like drop right but true a little more

[01:28:34] description would not hurt this that seems to be our running running uh thing this week yeah

[01:28:40] like I like the descriptor of the book yeah but you could just say as a gun as a gunshot right

[01:28:47] off right off yeah is a suppressed shot was heard or something yeah yeah so yeah that those are

[01:29:00] my two things where like I had to rewrite what I was my visual yeah it's like yeah why is he clutching

[01:29:08] his arm why is there blood oh it was like gun also it's just me or did that his wound like move

[01:29:18] across his chest in the in the story to me well guess first like I thought first it says it's

[01:29:25] shot in the arm but then I got the impression that it was in a shoulder and then I got the

[01:29:28] impression it was the center of his chest the center of the chest was just because he was like

[01:29:32] laying on the side of the right I guess yeah maybe yeah but it's also not clear whether or

[01:29:40] not he got shot the second time just while we're talking about gunshot wounds on on Jamie specifically

[01:29:48] yeah it's like in the church like he started bleeding again and I don't know I think that was

[01:29:54] shot as he jumped him or just he opened the wound by jumping in I think that to me that that

[01:30:00] that came across is that he had just opened up the wound again yeah yeah yeah it wasn't very clear

[01:30:08] though so another area that could use a little bit more the stripper yeah um

[01:30:14] if we continue Mikey all right so here's the my next quote

[01:30:22] I reached the double doors and tried to jerk them open hoping they weren't locked from the other side

[01:30:30] uh so this is when she's trying to leave the room with the statue uh twitch my response as well

[01:30:40] based on fire code doors are supposed to open outwards and there should have been an emergency exit

[01:30:46] in that room yeah but he's a James Bond villain so he set it up so there is no escape but one

[01:30:56] it's also a museum and the museum probably had a specific room for um traveling displays or whatever

[01:31:08] yeah right this isn't his secret layers murderer this is actually just literally a public thing

[01:31:14] yeah yeah yeah and even then it's also what's else seems like it's a modular room because um

[01:31:21] the tail goes through like the exit uh no the tail goes through I for some reason I remember like

[01:31:27] it crashed through like it mentioned like the the walls of the the museum room were like

[01:31:33] were like could be moved or like or re reorganized maybe I'm misreading that

[01:31:40] I don't recall that okay yeah I don't recall that neither but yeah you're you're also I think

[01:31:46] you're more on the right on that because of like this this this museum is not up to oh

[01:31:50] she standards and it should be you know I want to I want to cease to exist from reality break

[01:32:03] an ocean standards um all right so my next uh quote here we're going into some critically

[01:32:17] silliness oh how it so my sneakers struggled for purchase on the slick marvel floor

[01:32:28] and when they finally found it I was up and running toward the lobby on the wings of adrenaline

[01:32:35] um my mind went to loony tunes with the spinning legs and then suddenly

[01:32:42] pew yeah do you know or scooby-doo just like yeah yeah yeah it's the real

[01:32:51] version of that actually happened also a part of me also like envision just like her just like trying

[01:32:56] to get up like just like just be like just dance it around like like because you can't like keep

[01:33:01] her balance yeah I like how I acted that out in my room

[01:33:10] I was doing something I just didn't tell what you were doing uh like well as

[01:33:16] losing uh like balance but your sound effects sounded like you were doing like kung fu

[01:33:22] because two degree I was kind of doing like hap has like like like I actually like wave my hands

[01:33:27] or like my legs like how like like just like slide my legs across my wooden my my uh my

[01:33:32] wood floor oh we are not a visual medium we're not but we try to be a very nice yeah

[01:33:44] all right and so in an expeditive critically silliness

[01:33:50] I heard a clicking sound and Jamie stood up tossing a now worthless pair of handcuffs onto the floor

[01:33:56] he walked over to me and stood me up okay so he did nothing

[01:34:06] yeah this is not a date Katie this is if this was this would be the worst date ever yeah

[01:34:15] it's been 13 year of way 13 years for this walks away

[01:34:18] you bitch

[01:34:24] you caused all this all right so that back to more actual thoughts

[01:34:32] that my last one that is I don't think it's critically silly but

[01:34:38] all right I presented him for sacrifice and I was rewarded

[01:34:45] that was six years ago I adopted a new name and started a new company

[01:34:50] all was going well until your name came up about four years ago

[01:34:57] so it if he hasn't appeased the demon for four years

[01:35:05] and his youth is already restored why does he need the demon

[01:35:11] well because then if it does break well because actually that's the thing like

[01:35:18] yeah he just restored currently but for all we know again we would need more info for this

[01:35:26] if he isn't a servitor of metaraxis anymore then the youth spell just ends and he immediately ages

[01:35:36] and dies yeah alternatively I think maybe because he's had it awarded and the words do work

[01:35:44] the thing hasn't been able to move for the last four years and so they've actually kept it in place

[01:35:49] while they try and find they're like yeah they it's they're both working with and

[01:35:57] they're working with the creature but like not working with the creature because they haven't bound

[01:36:02] like they have established it like the words were working to keep it in place and stopping where it

[01:36:07] goes but they were searching for Katie for the last four years yeah because they found Katie and

[01:36:14] put her in the room and like extended the wards out it gave the story the reason for it to be able

[01:36:20] to get to get loose again and that's probably also why he's like on display now because

[01:36:28] they're actually probably like look if you're not going to get me this girl I need to be worshiped

[01:36:33] yeah it's like while you find this girl while you were searching for my for my next meal

[01:36:39] put me on a pedestal literally like legit

[01:36:46] let me breathe

[01:36:47] hello my baby hello my honey hello all right

[01:36:58] tell you we make it courtesy yeah there we go

[01:37:02] yeah the demon only booze when nobody else is a rare

[01:37:11] oh no we're actually referencing the frog from from legend is like hello my baby

[01:37:16] like it only does it to the one person and then and then when it's when it's presented in front of a

[01:37:20] crowd it's like yeah yeah yeah yeah meta-raxxis is really just that frog that that frog was actually a demon

[01:37:31] was like was a was a another like representation or avatar of meta-raxxis I can see it yeah

[01:37:38] yeah

[01:37:41] hey that's in the actual time all right gamer in yellow sure we'll go with yellow yeah let's go

[01:37:51] with yellow yeah that sounds great decision right yeah okay uh this is in regards to uh

[01:37:59] Jamie and KD talking about the demon and such I ignored his optimism why do you think it hasn't

[01:38:06] killed us yet Jamie side it's trying Scott kept a close watch over his demon but I managed to get one

[01:38:12] thing by him statue sitting on the sigil the size of the mini Cooper it's not blessed but it's big

[01:38:18] and now Jamison knows this too since this place is under surveillance um yep and that's why they

[01:38:24] should be got into this that's deeper does now reveal and that's why they were like basically like

[01:38:30] in the area like waiting for like that's what like when they as soon as they got in the car they

[01:38:34] were suddenly being tailed by Jamison as goons yeah like they were nearby they weren't like at the

[01:38:40] site but they were nearby enough to like basically like trail them in the car I kind of hate how he

[01:38:47] says I'm not a bond villain but I'm told it's a bond wait I need the quote for dr. Evil

[01:38:54] yeah yeah yeah yeah we gotta do this proper uh I've got a god in my room

[01:39:06] you just don't get to your Scott Jameson Scott

[01:39:11] my god and then Jameson didn't Scotty end up becoming the the bond villain at the end of the

[01:39:17] third movie yes oh my god

[01:39:23] oh I'm gonna find this quote

[01:39:26] hang on dr. Evil's it's a it's a death trap quote I sure say it's not coming up

[01:39:31] dr. Evil like Scott I want you to meet daddy's nemesis Austin Powers

[01:39:37] Scott what are you gonna feed him or what are you feeding him why don't you kill just kill him

[01:39:41] no Scott I have a better idea I'm going to place him in an easily escapeable situation

[01:39:46] that would allow an overly elaborate and exotic death yes that's exactly what's happening here

[01:39:53] yeah he doesn't stay to watch it he just leaps because if he stays there to watch it

[01:39:59] he can actually kill who he wants to kill yeah make sure they die you just don't get to your Scott

[01:40:09] but

[01:40:10] this is

[01:40:12] exhibit eight yeah

[01:40:17] yeah

[01:40:18] yeah he's so bond villain

[01:40:20] yeah he's like what uh this is not a bond movie I'm totally not a bond villain

[01:40:27] actually Austin Powers villain yeah exactly yeah I'm not this is not a bond movie

[01:40:33] this is an Austin Powers film pulls off the wig yeah number two comes in with the cat

[01:40:42] yeah the hairless uh the hairless cat

[01:40:47] mr. pickles worth that's it yeah we should probably stop talking about awesome powers go back

[01:40:52] to the story probably yeah and then we get to the basement of the church yes I'm jumping that far

[01:41:01] um it's fine uh where Jimmy says I'm sorry he yelled I'm sure it would come for me first

[01:41:10] why would he assume that it would go for him first when when streeters in pirate session has

[01:41:17] been trying to get Katie yeah why would he think it would go after him first when Katie's on the

[01:41:23] plaque yes is one target that he wants to consume yeah totally not gonna go for her first also the

[01:41:32] way you said there's like I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm not sorry I did accidentally say it like

[01:41:38] P.W. Herman from Cheach and Chong uh still smoking maybe one of those

[01:41:46] you're looking at that bar too no next movie Cheach and Chong's next movie

[01:41:56] yeah he killed it in that yeah anyways um suddenly the trapdoor slam shut

[01:42:03] Jamie standing over as the entire building building began to shake the edges around the door

[01:42:07] grew bright like molten metal before darkening like a blown up flame so I'm assuming

[01:42:14] he's able to close it now because the demon is down there again so the sigil can do what it's meant

[01:42:20] to do because it was said before yeah like it didn't close it it's like it cleaned the x-ride

[01:42:25] yeah that might be yeah that that's probably what it was it's like it has to stay open so that

[01:42:29] the demon can get you should get back in yes but once the demon's in there you can close it so I

[01:42:33] kind of I like that this is like this like it and you don't really have to beat us over the head

[01:42:38] with it because we get it yeah that's my head is hurting for being beat over the head of the

[01:42:43] Jameson is Jamie that we were all wrong yeah no it's not supposed to like like like like oh yeah so

[01:42:52] it was a couple of years away I totally did fuck your story for proving me wrong we should have known

[01:43:00] we should have people as so blatantly obvious and Jamie the Jameson is going to be doing this job

[01:43:09] in writing yeah they know what they're doing so she's written for like she's done the scripts for

[01:43:15] a bunch of like Netflix like movies like the or Netflix TV shows like that house on haunted hill and

[01:43:20] like the the haunting of blithehouse I think like those kind of like those series like he she's written

[01:43:26] the scripts she's worked on the scripts for those so for sure yes we should have known

[01:43:34] or the haunting of hillhouse that's what it was for instance sorry yeah okay yeah anyway moving on sorry

[01:43:40] yes moving on bad things are done um after he was released from the hospital we spent a few weeks

[01:43:47] weighing our options in the end we decided to hunt down people at Jameson Scott and the powers

[01:43:51] they loaded you don't know about them and if we have our way you never will due to Jamie's time

[01:43:58] with Scott there's some good leads we have a lot of blood on our hands to a toe and four and

[01:44:02] left under do it in so the end of the story they just become murderers they become

[01:44:10] serious yeah proud murdering people who made deals with the devil like oh okay they're bad people

[01:44:17] but why do these two people keep throwing themselves in oh my god thanks just survived

[01:44:25] like just just stop stop stop oh my god the stories the series started with Katie being a villain

[01:44:32] like growing like starting to be like show signs of being a villain and ended with her actually

[01:44:37] kind of being a covert villain yeah they're mind again they are bad people but

[01:44:42] right now yeah mind again they they are bad people that they're killing that they're going after

[01:44:47] itself um but like it's still like you're you're still going to be represented as like it's like

[01:44:55] Dean Sam Winchester being considered like the worst serial killers in America in the supernatural

[01:44:59] series because they're killing with the public sees as people or they're always being around when

[01:45:06] like people are dying really that's like because they're hunting werewolves or vampires and stuff

[01:45:09] like that yeah but it's basically the same kind of premise like they're they're technically

[01:45:14] turning into like serial killers they are like I'm being reminded of that see from true lies

[01:45:21] where like I forget who it was but someone asked like Arnold it's like you tell people it's like

[01:45:26] yeah but they're all about yeah it's when they're like uh in down in the in the interrogation

[01:45:29] thing and they had he has a true sermon his wife is like have you killed people yeah but they were

[01:45:34] all bad yeah this isn't making it right no and then after it's all done the story doesn't

[01:45:47] directly explain why Katie and Jamie were spared by the demon we kind of got there you got you

[01:45:52] kind of actually let me understand a little bit more um she was baked because she was one that

[01:45:57] got away and all that when Jamie was kept these things for she just current one that showed up I

[01:46:02] believe because I don't think better access has been trying to get her the whole time because he

[01:46:06] isn't given a shit because he's just been feasting yeah he yeah it wasn't until Katie came back up

[01:46:11] onto his pedestal like oh this bitch again yeah I don't know why you let Jamie live well again like

[01:46:18] is I think it was like as a like basically he Jamie was the bait for Katie yeah but the only true

[01:46:24] time he needed Katie was when she was on the post well I mean it's a demon they're probably like

[01:46:30] doing like the long con stuff yeah I don't want to eat you yet because I might get a bitter meal

[01:46:34] now like later yeah yeah yeah well yeah all in all the demon himself he kind of felt dumb

[01:46:45] like very dumb because like it looks same level of intelligence as a wild animal you know

[01:46:51] because like there may be less so because like how could it not see that it was being led into a trap

[01:46:57] when it's prey is hiding in the prison that he was held in for ages um pride desperation hunger

[01:47:06] it had been waiting waiting for four years to get Katie so I couldn't wait for you in the prison

[01:47:12] well eight years were nothing yeah I suppose yeah I don't like I he was smart

[01:47:20] he would just sit outside the trap door and wait because either they would try to leave or they

[01:47:26] would die of starvation regardless the demon would win yeah I mean that's a thing like there has to

[01:47:32] be some kind of hubris that the monster has so that they can be defeated by the by the care by the

[01:47:37] protagonist all he has is hubris yeah well he's also a demon like there are reason there's a

[01:47:42] reason well demonic or like demonologically there's a reason angels fell and became demons because

[01:47:49] they were yeah hubris idiotic idioticity that's good yeah that's idioticity actually yeah

[01:48:01] where they invented rocks accidental we keep referencing other things a lot

[01:48:08] this is very movie center one yeah it's only gonna go uphill from here because in my final thoughts

[01:48:14] I referenced at least two movies oh let's just get there because I'm okay fine so that's

[01:48:23] it for the for the actual thoughts on to final thoughts so I did really like it though during

[01:48:31] this part and story it definitely became more of an action-packed thriller like something you'd see

[01:48:39] in Jurassic Park or Predator 2 in that there is creepiness and there is fear but it's tampered with

[01:48:47] the action moments and the espionage and like that kind of stuff I like how things wrap up at the end

[01:48:56] here though I think it could be also be fleshed out a bit more like maybe a way bit more because

[01:49:04] it was way bit more a way bit more because by the end I was starting to kind of feel a little bit

[01:49:11] of the tug that I get when it feels like a writer is starting to speed up and paraphrase the end

[01:49:17] events of a story because like they want to get the story done I was starting to feel the pull of

[01:49:21] that kind of like the like the nudging of that kind of that kind of situation and I feel like we

[01:49:27] could have gotten a little bit more detail about like what happened in the aftermath of the demon

[01:49:30] being trapped a bit more um I will partially so that's why I will partially recommend this

[01:49:38] story this part but I'm still going to actually give this a full recommendation uh

[01:49:45] out for the trilogy of stories that we got like as a whole I would recommend this series

[01:49:52] but this part in particular I can only give a partial recommendation for

[01:49:56] um but uh yeah that's uh that's my recommendation so Mikey these stands for evil

[01:50:06] the number one issue I had was this was like I said I have a real right

[01:50:14] or re-visualized what I was reading as I was reading it

[01:50:19] uh a couple times so that not puts it down a couple pegs um and I liked that

[01:50:29] there is a little bit of character growth in the fact that the character realizes after the

[01:50:36] fact that maybe visiting the museum wasn't a good idea maybe this wasn't a great idea at all

[01:50:42] I've made a horrible mistake no at least she was aware of it

[01:50:50] yeah at least she grasped with that like even if it was a little too late

[01:50:54] yeah yeah um

[01:51:01] and then like

[01:51:04] I feel like there should have been more hints in the previous one that

[01:51:09] bannock was uh Jamie yeah I mean there was definitely like some weird tension between her and

[01:51:16] and bannock but like I never the way of security guard is yeah like honestly like

[01:51:23] legitimately that's like I honestly painted bannock as the bodyguard of um to to quote dread

[01:51:30] like to reference the dressing files um I honestly felt like he he just kind of felt like the

[01:51:35] like the bodyguard and his attitude and so that uh as the bodyguard from um of the of the gangster

[01:51:41] in in the dressing file like the main like gangster or like mafia mafia boss guy from from the

[01:51:47] dressing files like that character it's a character type and that's honestly what it just felt

[01:51:52] like he just felt like he was playing this character was a character type of like the the

[01:51:56] mafia bodyguard or the rich guy's bodyguard and he played that role well yeah

[01:52:01] it was like he was just a very good actor yeah also like I do feel like it was purposely like

[01:52:06] giving us a red hair and cuz like she says like oh jame jameason was 25 like I was whereas like

[01:52:14] the bodyguard seemed to be a lot gruffer a lot older and then it's revealed that

[01:52:18] like jameason is young of a 25 because of eternal youth from metaraxis and jamey is now

[01:52:25] eight years older than he should be because of metaraxis like yeah abilities in effect

[01:52:32] yeah basically he was hotboxed temporarily

[01:52:37] but yeah so like it was it was a clear like it was it was intentional throwoff

[01:52:42] but it was like again and like I don't hate the like the punch of the face I got from the

[01:52:49] revelation but like I could see why somebody might like was like well that was kind of cheap

[01:52:54] I like that doesn't the like we had no real like aside from the tension we got in the second story

[01:53:00] we don't really get any other clues that like bannock was actually jamey but again that's by design

[01:53:06] because it meant to be revealed yeah it was meant to be a revel it was meant to be a red herring

[01:53:11] and like a twist what's a twist yeah yeah and another issue which I forgot to bring up

[01:53:23] is that it mentions that he is jamey before she acknowledges that it's jamey

[01:53:34] yeah because the first drop of his name is like jamey caught me

[01:53:40] yeah and then it describes jamey as like that she's like jamey

[01:53:43] well no cuz yeah cuz she said well cuz he says goddammit Katie what you have to like

[01:53:48] see says Katie doesn't say kateland so he knew her her childhood name Katie

[01:53:56] and that was the that was I think that was actually supposed to be like a subtle hint like

[01:53:59] and that's that was obviously I hinted for Katie to realize wait bannock is jamey

[01:54:04] yeah so it was sort of it was a it was a sort of like a like I liked the way it was revealed but like

[01:54:11] yeah well I mean the thing is like all for me anyway all they had to do was say he'd

[01:54:22] calm down the way down like remove jamey until she's 100% sure because she says jamey my voice broke

[01:54:32] over his name because like until then then the characters going like okay it is jamey not

[01:54:42] were given straight up it is jamey before the character knows yeah because she could ask

[01:54:49] him as jamey and he could still say no yeah not be him but yeah I agree with you 100%

[01:54:57] it should be revealed on her words not on the narrator telling us so

[01:55:05] yeah so with that said I'm still only going to partially recommend this one

[01:55:13] and as a whole I would probably put all these as a partial recommendation as well

[01:55:29] okay and then gamer yeah so in the end I'm glad that I read the story of you stories honestly

[01:55:36] because like they're easy to read and it was fun to follow these characters that you said

[01:55:42] the first story was the only one that held in a real creep and fear in it yeah because the more

[01:55:47] that things got explained the less creepy and more action horror it became car chase and gun fights and all

[01:55:55] meta-axis felt kind of dumb intelligence wise by the end falling for such an obvious trap with no thought

[01:56:01] you think a demon that's been around as long as he has with no thing or two but he doesn't

[01:56:06] the main super villain should have been meta-axis himself not jameson my opinion like we're reading

[01:56:13] this story about a demon and the demon is basically just a puppet of a human in a way

[01:56:18] meanwhile he should have been puppeting jameson the whole time like it making jameson feel like

[01:56:27] he's in control but the demons actually in control it's as if jameson is basically like a lion tamer

[01:56:34] and meta-axis is the lion you know like he's this dangerous creature but he hasn't completely done

[01:56:38] to control you know I mean I feel like it should be more like meta-axis is using and puppet

[01:56:44] jameson to get what he wants and like technically he is since he's like getting some level of

[01:56:49] worship by being in a museum but it felt so simple and like low level for how high level this demon

[01:56:54] is and like we weren't even there was no like explanation of why he's going to New York either like

[01:57:01] he could just be going to New York for another museum and he's just gonna hang out there and not

[01:57:04] kill anyone yeah like another place I think that's legitimately what it was like if this is kept

[01:57:09] growing like he's been forced to retire because basically like in a way jameson scott had everything

[01:57:21] under control like have the demon and basically was just sacrificing the odd person to it whenever

[01:57:26] the whenever the name came up the only problem was the next name the name that the came up next was

[01:57:32] jade was Katie and Katie's the fucking like wild card in the scenario like yeah otherwise I would

[01:57:38] have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you two meddling kids are you two meddling 20 year olds

[01:57:44] what I don't get though and we've kind of lightly brushed on this is why didn't jameson just take him

[01:57:52] back to the church put him in the basement and close the door um probably like if I was going to

[01:57:58] guess anything it's what I said before it's that jameson's youth is tied to his servitude with

[01:58:06] meta-raxas so if he is not serving meta-raxas anymore he is not youthful anymore and he will die like

[01:58:12] he didn't indiannate jones from another fucking movie so that's where I assume but I wish he was

[01:58:21] said because at this point there are ways that he can get rid of him especially since fricken

[01:58:27] jamey is working for him and jamey knows how to get rid of him so he could suggest

[01:58:33] sealing him away because he knows the sigils and he knows a good spot to take him blah blah blah blah

[01:58:39] there could have been ways to get around it where he could just be sealed away and not hurting anyone

[01:58:44] ever again here's the thing I'm surprised I wonder if did jamey did jameson actually know where the

[01:58:49] church was because jamey did so maybe that's why he didn't take him to the church yeah but

[01:58:58] again if jamey was he just got his youth and his youth is forever and that's good and he doesn't

[01:59:06] need the demon anymore and jamey knows this and he knows that jamey isn't technically an evil

[01:59:14] bond villain that he could say okay you got your youth you got what you wanted I know how we can get

[01:59:20] rid of him follow me and that he put him away and it be done forever but if there's just one line saying

[01:59:28] like I could have gotten rid of him but I would lose my youth as well and I would die so I'm not

[01:59:34] gonna do that so I'm just gonna keep sacrificing that's fine yeah that's the case but I wish you

[01:59:39] also I think it could have been clarified like or like given that like maybe you just it sort of

[01:59:44] feels like um it's like a monkey spaw thing or like again deal with the devil is never going to be

[01:59:50] cut and dry there's always gonna be a catch um and I feel like that could have been maybe like

[01:59:55] you're like you were saying like it could have been clarified a little bit more maybe there was like

[02:00:01] okay yeah he's youthful and it's not like he's youthful like done it was one and done sort of thing

[02:00:05] but there's always that inkling and that was that kind of like depraved like

[02:00:10] capitalistic sort of like thing that a corporate guy sometimes has where it's like

[02:00:15] what's mine now and I want this power all to myself and I want to I want to keep using it

[02:00:20] and abusing it sort of thing but like so they could have been like some like show that of like

[02:00:24] the corruption on on jamesum but yeah we're descriptors would be nice yeah as we keep talking

[02:00:33] I'll say like for this specific for this story in particular like I like that it kept

[02:00:38] split like we got an expansion of the previous story but this last story like really had a lot of

[02:00:43] like so many more questions and answers yeah and I think we might be bringing them up more in

[02:00:48] this one than the previous one because this is the last one we're not gonna get any yeah we're

[02:00:52] in the previous story we could be like okay there's one more story to answer things so it's fine

[02:00:57] we'll let it slide yeah but uh uh uh uh uh yeah pretty much but yeah for this one specifically

[02:01:06] partial overall again I did enjoy the read so if you are looking for a thriller style action

[02:01:15] pasta that isn't really exactly scary there's like no gore no real fear it starts out spooky

[02:01:23] but then gets like starts off kind of like spooky but then gets like more just like sort of a paranormal

[02:01:29] like actiony kind of story but yeah yeah but yeah it's it's not dark it's not creepy um so

[02:01:37] if you're just wanting that sort of story great recommend it recommendation for sure as a um

[02:01:47] what's the term that you use for that it's not a partial recommendation it's a um conditional

[02:01:52] yeah but if you're looking to be scared just read the first one you're done yeah the first one actually

[02:01:57] has like good levels of fear in it uh look what happened and the consequences of their actions

[02:02:04] it also doesn't end on like a cliffhanger really like you could just end of the first story

[02:02:08] that's what I'm saying like yeah it stands on its own yeah just for story if you would refer to

[02:02:15] for it to be ending on a more like dreadful and fear covered note you know yeah but the

[02:02:24] more goes on the more actiony gets which is good for some and that's conditional all right

[02:02:32] so uh yeah I guess for this story i'm just gonna do the recommendation for this story um

[02:02:37] so partial recommendation partial recommendation and partial recommendation

[02:02:43] and then yeah um so that'll do it for this week's episode if you like what you heard or if you

[02:04:15] hey

[02:04:19] okay i really discovered a metal song that's talking about curbie like killing everyone

[02:04:27] well i mean i mean to be fair to be fair curbie is a cosmic horror he really he's the
