[00:00:00] Oh hello and welcome to a Dente rigomotis.

[00:00:20] I'm Review Claws.

[00:00:22] I'm Mikey, the E stands for Ebenezer.

[00:00:25] And I'm the that song, among a bunch of other SCPs that we had done, one SCP we had not done, which is a strange mug. And so I decided that was clearly a foreshadow for what was going to be this year.

[00:01:42] Yeah, absolutely not.

[00:01:43] And definitely not me just scrounging,

[00:01:46] or like looking for an SCP that had to do And yeah, before we dive too deep into exactly what the SCP is, let's give our initial recommendations. I'm going to recommend this one. I am also going to recommend this one. Even though I said I'm the Grinchoniello and I should hate everything, I'm going to recommend this one. I mean, but that might change.

[00:03:00] You never know.

[00:03:01] I mean, his E stands for Ebenezer, Bahambug.

[00:03:04] Yes, indeed.

[00:03:05] Apparently this is the Ebenezer after site for the safety of the staff. This is because SCP-198 changes its form to be various beverage containers with some liquid still in it, and changes form after killing a handler. It is currently a coffee mug.

[00:05:26] the fluid or semi-solid material that fills the container will hold off this effect, but it must be a constant consumption. The container refills automatically anomalously. And the handler usually

[00:05:35] gives up and dies or is terminated by SCP staff after a prolonged time of having to constantly consume

[00:05:42] the disgusting fluid or semi-solid material that's in the cup. It then been reassigned to a Euclid classification. Fin. So yeah, that was a rundown of SCP 198, otherwise known as a cup of Joe. It is currently a coffee cup. So I suppose we'll move on to everyone tolerance, a grandma and physicians. At this point, guys, do you guys got anything?

[00:08:02] Well, there's no commas, so... Yeah, that's true.

[00:08:07] Alright, now for the conjecture-tjection.

[00:08:11] But perhaps the contents in your hand...

[00:08:16] It burned me!

[00:08:19] It would appear that both of your hands are stuck to the container.

[00:08:25] Finn.

[00:08:25] I'd just like to point out those last two were its stories or were it said... So now I don't have nice. That's my story. Okay. Onto actual thoughts. I'm going to start with this section here. This is from special containment procedures. SCP-198 is located in a secure room of sight redacted with armed guards posted outside to prevent any unauthorized access. SCP-198 is to be stored under 24-hour video surveillance in a sealed and locked case.

[00:10:42] Like, um, but like, say SCP is currently a coffee.

[00:10:45] Yeah. Well, because like when I first like got like, like,

[00:10:49] found this one, I didn't realize that it changed forms.

[00:10:51] I only knew that it was a cup or like a coffee mug.

[00:10:54] Yeah. So, um, yeah, the procedure is definitely warranted after you read through

[00:10:59] the rest of the thing. Um, also just like given the S, this, uh, the security after,

[00:11:05] uh, after reading the special containment, like they're willing to go through all the security protocols to protect you from a coffee mug. Yeah, but then, but then like if the short film like continued on, and then like they show you like all the documentation or something like that, or like if just the documentation of this of this entry just like starts pant like starts like scrolling up on the on the

[00:12:23] the screen, then you're like, you're reading throughfoam cup, redacted brand glass beer bottle, redacted and redacted slash redacted brand aluminum soda cans, an oversized shot glass that read one tequila to tequila through tequila floor, a plastic water bottle with'm a treasure chest roar. I'm a bite you. Yeah, no, they actually like in the original text, it was like basically you try to open you try to open up the chest and you could open it and then there's a bunch of teeth and then oh God, you're stuck to it. So then that like allows for even further like easier access for it to eat you. Oh damn. Yeah. And jumping on this connective tissues time.

[00:15:04] I have recently been tinkering with unique mimics in some of our games over at One Less the following quotes and comments as they will almost certainly all have some relation to Gamefotter with Mimic ideas. As I continued reading this entry, I was like just getting more and more ideas about Mimics. But yeah, I can't cut through the wrist. You figure the scientist or the D class, but like, it's okay. Go higher. Just do it. Yeah. Well, and that's actually kind of dumped into my next quote is like, I just, or my next comment, uh, I just kind of imagine like when they do get approval for this, that they're just trying to cut off like the fingers and then the hand and then eventually working their way up the arm and like to try and see what

[00:17:43] the limit of the healing factor is like inch by inch.

[00:17:46] Like it's like they try song.

[00:17:47] No kind of like, because they've done at least what four or five tests, considering how many times has changed forms like half a dozen at least. Yeah. Yeah. And they've learned what it's hot, one hand or two and no gloves. Those are the three tests I

[00:19:03] can think of like, bugs don't help. Yeah.

[00:20:03] Yeah, because they were quote unquote friends. Yeah. Or he won 99 one to be friends. Yeah, no, it was like, it was that, it was that meme from

[00:20:07] like a Brooklyn nine. I was like, I've just met this yellow blue glove, but I will kill

[00:20:11] everyone in this room and myself. If anything bad happens to it. Yes. Just kidding. I won't

[00:20:17] die. I can't remember what it is though. I shoot. It's in the so many numbers. I don't

[00:20:23] blame you. It was dies, it dies. Yeah. Yeah. Um, but I'll, I'll move on to the next thing I have here. Um, once bonded, any liquid inside SV198 will disappear and the container will

[00:21:42] inexplicably begin to fill from the bottom dimension are created by like a flesh by like a god of

[00:23:00] flesh crafting

[00:23:03] So yeah, it's definitely some like definitely

[00:24:05] Did we really need like two types of redactions like to separate it over on that? Okay, sorry. So

[00:24:08] Where's that note on that? Yeah, you would like to

[00:24:11] That note on that That I'll totally find

[00:24:16] Suppose this could have even been a grammar inquisition because it's like no

[00:24:19] Format no, this is the one though. It's like it was gonna be a grammar then I'm like, you know what no, it's not so yes

[00:25:26] Previously on S.E.P.s I have said that I prefer when stories have a uniform system of redacting all blacked out or all Expunged or whatever. Yeah, and I do recall you guys bringing up good points about this before though in regards to

[00:25:34] multiple people from the foundation editing and updating these dot

[00:25:38] also

[00:25:41] The reason I'm talking about brought this all up in the first place is I

[00:26:45] it looks like or can look like, isn't that sort of not helpful?

[00:26:48] It's probably something that you would not normally see in your normal life anyways.

[00:26:50] It's something fucked up, I would think.

[00:26:52] Yeah.

[00:26:52] So maybe it's immediately recognized it anyways.

[00:26:56] It turned into its true form at one point.

[00:26:58] And so like it's just too horrible to be described.

[00:27:00] So they just didn't expunged it.

[00:27:02] Like how a mimic or short,

[00:27:04] it's like the two different reduction types I like

[00:27:07] because it's like like, yeah. But it's fine. It's just it helped. In game or in lore, it's probably something that would have been fixed. Out of lore, it gives us the reader, like, just a little inkling of what brand it was, because we all know that brand. Like, really only one brand of soda has a dash in the middle.

[00:28:23] At least for us Americans. Yeah, the thing is, I wonder if the data expunged, like when it's going through the descriptions and like we got the data expunged. Yeah, it's its true form, kind of like how mimics like do actually have a grotesque, like normal form, like there's some kind of like, in some of the original lore of D&D, there's some terrain in like cave dwelling like creature

[00:29:40] that has learned the extraordinary ability

[00:29:44] to mimic a simple objects and such.

[00:30:42] bread a mimic with a blink dog.

[00:30:44] That was smart.

[00:30:46] Yeah, not that.

[00:30:50] Also, blink dogs are also really kind of interesting because like

[00:30:54] depending on the addition of D&D that you play or even Pathfinder,

[00:30:59] blink dogs, everyone when when you think of blink dog, usually think that it's like it teleports.

[00:31:01] And that's one version of the blink dog.

[00:31:04] The other version of a blink dog is that it actually just goes invisible

[00:32:18] subsequent autopsy determines the contents of the test subjects of the subjects stomach to be mostly human urine. And so this is after like this, this, this D class test subject had had to start drinking for hours. The, the redacted that he, he saw in the cup.

[00:32:22] Yes.

[00:32:23] And it's revealed to work day. It's the portal. It's portal, portal two all over again.

[00:33:40] Because that's why Chell was a test subject. they've actually already created a bottomless coffee mug. But this is the version 2.0 because it has different liquids. So also kind of had the idea that like maybe the cup was like manifesting the excrement or the fluid from the person's body. And that's why they were dehydrating and emaciating. And that's why it was stopping that process when you drank, when you consumed what was in the cup was because it was basically adding giving it back to you.

[00:36:22] That's what I initially thought.

[00:36:25] However, yeah, it says that it can't, it's on a data.

[00:36:27] I'm identifiable.

[00:36:28] So it's just kind of filling up the cup with that. No, it's not the humans material though. No, no, I know. But like, I mean, I mean, extra material from itself, not from the human body. That's what I meant. I'm just saying, I eat a burger, that turns into stuff.

[00:37:43] Yeah.

[00:37:43] That's what I mean.

[00:37:44] It starts eating a guy that turns into stuff.

[00:37:47] Yeah. And the, the cup was just doing its job. Man, it wanted to help. I'm helping. I know exactly how I'm going to use this for, I'm sorry, gamer. I know exactly how

[00:39:03] I'm going to use this in our, in our modern, in our modern, current modern setting game.

[00:40:02] Yeah, we're listening to the scene so that, and then I just imagine like gamers just gonna be like,

[00:40:04] no one move a fucking muscle.

[00:40:08] No, I'll be just shaking a little bit and sweating

[00:40:11] and be like, yes, let's get a go.

[00:40:13] I have to not met a game.

[00:40:16] You guys investigate inside?

[00:40:19] I'll just, I'll walk outside and keep an eye out.

[00:40:22] It's like, oh, do you want a coffee?

[00:40:22] It's like, no, no, no, I'm hold a spoon. Which means I will die very soon. From not being able to drink it. You'll only take do take out bit like because it has rat there's rappers around the burgers and stuff. And then I grab you I get you there. It's like, ha ha ha. It was the rapper all alive. Look at, look, look at.

[00:41:40] Yeah.

[00:41:41] You're just going to be fucked.

[00:41:44] Yeah. They're head off. And then the fucked up thing is that the person's head flops off, they die for a moment. And then the neck starts growing back a new body. And it starts off as a baby, like, over the next couple of hours into a full grown human or person.

[00:43:00] I kind of fucking love that. and think to thank the mug for dispensing the liquid. I mean, that could be all it needs is to be like, thank you for dispensing this liquid. And then releases you. Yeah. Exactly. Do enough science to be honest. Yeah. It will. A lot of science is, oh, God, oh, God, oh, God, gun down or kill the person

[00:44:21] or the person kills themselves like I think it's like they're not doing

[00:44:23] enough.

[00:44:24] I kind of understand because of like fucked up, like test for the person. So it's kind of like a saw, saw punishment. Yeah, pretty much. Yeah. God. Yeah, the, if I throw this into epiron, this would definitely be like some

[00:45:41] kind of like really fucked up like, like torture device the containment procedures for this one are set up. It lets us know very specific things that it's dangerous enough to warrant all these precautions before we even know what it is. And at the end of the day, in world, anyone reading this document needs I'm like, okay, this could be anything. Okay, it's the cup one. Cool. Yeah. So that's cool. And it goes in saying SCP 198 has taken numerous forms since coming into foundation position in 19 redacted. What do you think the odds are that SCP 198 was captured in 98?

[00:49:25] for one of the first magical creatures discovered by in in the fifth world.

[00:49:32] Um, before the the actual awakening happened, and it was during World War one or when I was sorry, World War two, and it was and the Nazis had discovered a mimic.

[00:49:39] And of course they were trying to turn into a bioweapon.

[00:49:42] Yep. I mean, speaking of is this the enemy's bioweapon?

[00:50:44] container. So it's a gun that is instantly grafted the person and the person only has a certain amount of life like life

[00:50:48] because basically they're the endless bullets are actually is actually being

[00:50:52] created by like the energy that's draining into the into the weapon from

[00:50:56] the person. So it's like basically like they it's a couple of hours they have

[00:50:59] life force but it's like a really powerful weapon that they were hoping to

[00:51:03] create and then they they just never got around to that stage in like the not the gamer in yellow. Yeah, we'll just switch. Yeah. Well, you're not the gamer in yellow. To be fair, you're not the gamer in yellow this month. You're the Grinch in yellow. Yeah, that's true. Yeah. That's exactly what I'm review clause. So Santa Claus usually gives games and a presence. So yeah, it works out. This was planned, everybody. Yeah, this

[00:52:20] is totally planned. Just like this was all beenil. Yeah. Just immediately just shrivel up and die. That would be over the span of 20-hour. Yeah. Which again, also lends credence to our whole like it was supposed to be like a Nazi experiment because like it's a gun that will kill the soldier in 24 hours but is really powerful.

[00:53:44] Yeah.

[00:53:45] As unlimited gun.

[00:53:46] It creates unlimited bullets.

[00:53:47] It's a gun that has unlimited guns, is that what you're going to say? and Eat, shit, and die, Ricky. Eat, shit, and live from sleep away camp, the 1983 Slasher Fly. Wow. Yeah, it's like one of the characters like tells the one character is like, eat, shit, and die, Ricky. And then Ricky just responds back with like, eat, shit, and live, Bill. I remember that's where,

[00:56:21] but like, I remember it like being like a Duke Nukem character

[00:56:23] or something doing like a grungy voice is like,

[00:56:26] eat, shit, and die.

[00:57:25] the most recent thing, it just broke containment whenever it wanted to to find a random mug. So like if they keep fucking with it, it might get worse.

[00:57:28] That's very, yeah.

[00:57:30] But still not enough science in the science.

[00:57:33] Oh, God, it turns into it vanishes like can't like get out of the pool from the ladder. Oh god, so gross. Yeah, it'd be a very bad time. Yeah, there'd definitely be some amnes, amnes to sizing of an entire neighborhood.

[00:59:05] Yeah, that's very like I it's the basically cursed object, which could be a prototype that a company made, but then it somehow left the confines of the company. Yeah. Because it can teleport, right? So,

[01:01:21] Yeah. Yeah.

[01:01:22] From a Muppet Christmas Carol, the less the most accurate one.

[01:01:25] The only one I need.

[01:01:27] I mean, to be fair, that's that's fine.

[01:01:29] It's pretty it is actually pretty accurate.

[01:01:33] Yeah.

[01:01:35] So overall, I'm still going to recommend this.

[01:01:39] All right.

[01:01:41] And gamer or sort of Grinch in yellow.

[01:01:43] That's me.

[01:01:44] I'm on the Grinch.

[01:01:45] Baham.

[01:01:46] You're a mean one. specifically works, there could be like a freaking cure all situation in this, you know? If they can literally eat, and live. Yeah, like even if you have to do something horrible like that, but if they manage to make it so it feels you and you're not under the influence of it anymore, then you could save people's lives from dying

[01:03:02] from like diseases and stuff like that. Like it's like actually I think it would be really cool if like the

[01:04:22] doctor redacted like that was like going through the pain for the entire 24 hours. So if you die early, it's like, it's SCP 198. So. Yeah, but they also grab random numbers whatever they want, right? Or when did this one come out?

[01:07:01] Cause like, I'm sure there's gaps early. I actually, the amount of SCPs,

[01:07:03] all the early gaps are probably filled for sure.

[01:07:05] Yeah.

[01:07:06] I mean, I can actually double check that.

[01:07:08] Hang on, history. So, but yeah, or sir, it's a certain X paranormal board with the, with our favorite SCP, the SCP 173, the, the defecating blink, or the defecating statue that will kill you if you if you blink.

[01:08:20] Oh, that was world of SCP if SCP 173 had not been good or not well received. Or if the very idea of

[01:09:43] like a men and black-esque secret organization that contains and protects us from these Some more testing would definitely, I think some more extra testing would, would help. That's where I was. Like, I kind of give this a little bit of a pass of not having a lot because like this, this has it really been updated since about 2010. Like there's been a couple of things over the years, but it's only got like two pages of history in the longs.

[01:11:00] So like somebody could go back in, I guess,

[01:11:03] and like add in some extra testing procedures

[01:11:07] and stuff like that, like one of the reasons why the image was removed, just because like it just adds like the text itself adds to the more credence to it than an image. Yeah. But yeah, so, yeah, two recommendations, full recommendations and one partial recommendation

[01:12:23] could have more, would love to have more,. You can give it all a peep it. Yeah. And if you'd like to help support our show financially, you can go to Patreon. Select the back to you to support us at. We have $2 and $5 tiers with special episodes, early access, extra content.
