[00:01:51] The Angels have had a road trip trekking down from Ontario, Canada, down to Texarkana, USA. And, yeah, I guess we should introduce our characters. The Angels. This is Jeremy, playing Geo Osborne, the Monstrous Playbook. I think he stole a motorcycle from a biker gang last time. That's about as much as I remember. It's been a mega week.

[00:02:20] Honestly, I don't think it's technically stealing as much as it is pillaging, because he's dead, he ain't gonna use it. Mm-hmm. It's repurposing. Yeah. Yes, it's repurposing. This is Joe. You know that the location you're looking for, the place you're looking for to find these sorcerers that helped with the ritual is called the Lamina. L-I-M-I-N-A. It is apparently some, an old cinema.

[00:07:15] Or like an old movie theater. Um, and uh, yeah, I guess, uh, but uh, if you guys want to try and look for it or find, search for it, um, let's get a sharp going. A sharp roll. Unless you guys have some kind of a move that allows you to like find information, uh, based off your character. I think I do, but I'm trying to screw. I think you got the one with the plan or something like that. Mm-hmm.

Uh, and you do find, um, a short little blurb about, or like a local, like newspaper, uh, article about, um, a, uh, a theater that was closing down in like the sixties or seventies, uh, called the Lamina.

[00:09:28] And it does give you an address, uh, or at least it gives you like a, like, um, like the street it's on and it's in like the sort of the outskirts of Tex Arcana. So. You guys. Before it was way back. Exactly. Yeah. Um, also Darcy, did you want to, uh, do the, uh, the tarot card reading? Oh yeah. Um, I was, I was pulling those last game. Yeah.

It says we're going to go burn down a theater. When did this happen? Not to derail, but did anyone else hear him say the eight of pentacles as the eight of tentacles? Because that's what I originally heard. Eight of tentacles.

Again, I guess, I, I guess, um, Camille is back to her, like, uh, like she can't talk to you properly or like, she's like, she's like the silent one or. Um, she, she was, I feel like she's been talking to me a lot. Right. Yeah. Cause she was talking to me in the hospital before.

[00:15:14] You're not corporeal. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like she, but she like before, like, because like when she was flesh and blood, she was able to like talk more freely. And now like as a ghost, like there's a little bit more, uh, there's a little bit more of a veil there. So I, maybe it's like more like whispers than, than like, she's through a tunnel. Basically.

[00:15:40] Uh, but regardless, yeah, you're, you're able to like strengthen that bond. I look over. It's a lot of nonverbal communication. Yeah. She's nodding. Yeah. Charades is done in the car. You keep looking through the, the rear view mirror and see her in the back. Um, yeah. Uh, anybody, anybody else doing anything before you guys arrive or.

Um, uh, David Allen Doyle, uh, you with your role and such, um, you did, you did find that newspaper article, uh, and it had a photo of the Lamina, like theater, uh, theater. Uh, and, um, I wish I had, uh, remembered slash had time to actually like photo edit, um, the

[00:16:38] theater in my, in my hometown that like would fit this perfectly. But, uh, basically picture like an old, a black and white film, like old black and white photo of like, um, a, uh, like a, a fifties, sixties style, like cinema, um, with like Lamina, like in vertical font going down like a column and like that protruding out from the main, from the front of the lobby area. Yeah. Sounds good. Um, yeah, sorry. Though I am mildly disappointed that you didn't do like we did in that magical fury game and

[00:17:07] you just took a picture of the forge theater. It submitted a blueprint plan and we didn't realize. Yeah. Uh, sometimes. Um, and yeah, actually in the photo, you do see, uh, there are two individuals like right in front of the, uh, in front of the theater, like kind of like getting their picture taken with the theater. Uh, one is a very large man, um, uh, like very, very, uh, pretty, pretty corpulent.

[00:17:35] Um, and, uh, he's wearing, um, it's very, very cowboyish kind of like rodeo sort of, uh, outfit with like the cowboy hat, the Stenson and, um, like kind of matching Stetson and, and, uh, and, uh, like sort of like the, the vest vestments and outfit and such. Um, though it's definitely of a lighter color. Um, it is black and white, so you can't really get the, what color it is exactly, but it's definitely like a, like a, like maybe like a white or light kind of coloration, uh, to

[00:18:04] the whole getup. And then next to him, uh, is a very short man. Um, they could be twins if they weren't so like size. There wasn't such a size gap. Um, like one kind of looks like the mini me of the other one. So one of them looks like Schwarzenegger and the other looks like Danny DeVito. No. Yeah. Like, but like if, if, if Schwarzenegger had like put on some pounds. Yeah. Um, they also seem. We're in a fat twin situation.

[00:18:34] Yeah. Uh, they also seem to have, uh, like the same kind of hair, like they're like kind of almost like a mullet underneath the Stetson, uh, in like what looks like maybe like blonde hair of some kind or like a lighter hair color. Uh, and they're just smiling like ear to ear, like with their, like holding their, holding their vests, uh, their, their jackets kind of in that way. Like, uh, like, uh, right under the lapels. Yeah. Yeah. Basic. Yep. Exactly. Yeah. And they're just like kind of beaming for the, for the photo shoot of their, of the closure of their theater.

[00:19:05] So like, it doesn't seem to have affected them, but like, maybe that's just the, uh, maybe it's just their aspect. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. So yeah. Um, that's, that's what you get. Uh, something is kind of like funny about the photo with them in it. Um, you want me to do a pure evil, uh, David, do you want to roll a weird? Love growing weird. All right. I've got two in it.

[00:19:34] I need to up that six. Nope. It had to be, that had to be a, um, uh, catch the light or something that, that, that couldn't have happened. Did I just level up? Um, well, no, you like there was, as you were, as you were looking at the photo, like, uh, I guess you have like an actual piece of paper. So you're like, like in the light and stuff like that. Yeah. You had to do it. Like the light had to have catched up, uh, caught the fibers wrong or something.

[00:20:02] Did, did the one guy blink or like wink at you in the photo? Oh, no, that, that couldn't have happened. No. Weedie's trapped in the photo. This is going to be easy. Burn the photo. But, uh, yeah, that's what, that's what you, that's what you find. So you have like, um, uh, you, you, you have a kind of what looks like the building itself and, um, the, uh, appearance of the individuals you're searching for.

[00:20:28] It seems, uh, their names, uh, actually in the, in the fully, in the paper itself are, uh, the Tex Arcane brothers. Um, R A R K A E N. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, so they like name themselves after their sound, after the town. You have no idea. Maybe they came. Maybe, maybe, maybe it's a show name or like, uh, okay. Yeah.

[00:20:58] Fair enough. Yeah. All right. So what do you think the odds of us just talking them out of breaking this curse are? Yeah. Low, but not zero. I'm leaning towards low, but yeah, there's, it's, there's always a non-zero, non-zero chance. We can always talk to them. And then they can refuse to listen to reason. And then we go with plan V. Yeah, plan violence. Yeah.

[00:21:29] Darcy's looking, or Juliet's looking pretty pensive right there about that. I'm like, uh, not again. The worst we can do is try. Bye. As we're strapping C4 to the, to the building. Well, yeah. So you guys arrive at the building and it, it isn't like kind of like the, uh, the outskirts, like the, an older part of the town, like an older neighborhood. Um, there's not a lot of buildings here that are, are open.

[00:21:54] Um, it's, it's definitely a, uh, a slummier kind of part of town, uh, or like just an older part that hasn't been like gentrified or anything like that. Uh, and you, yeah, you come across the, the Lamina closed. Um, it's door shuttered with paper, with like newspaper, um, on the, on the glass and such. Uh, and, um, old, uh, old movie posters, uh, half faded by the sun.

[00:22:21] But, uh, yeah, there it is. And it's, uh, in its former glory, the Lamina. Is it like locked? Uh, you walk up to it, um, and, uh, you, you try the door and it, it opens. There's a soft click and it opens. Is there any like symbolism that I see? Like not entering. Okay. I was going to say not entering the building. I want to look for stuff around doorways.

[00:22:51] So we, we found that out with a cabin. You don't want to get FNAF'd here. Oh, got an experience. Uh, that's five. Um, we were really, uh, killing it out there today. Yeah. You, you, uh, you guys, uh, or yeah, uh, Juliet, you walk around, like around the building and like rock around the neighborhood area, like around the building. Um, and then suddenly you, like you blink and you're suddenly just at the front, at the lobby again.

[00:23:19] Like you don't remember you like, it's not like you were like for the, for the rest of the rest of you guys, like, um, she didn't just like teleport to the lobby. Like she just walked around, but, uh, uh, took back to the lobby, uh, after kind of doing a circle around the building. Um, Juliet, you have no recollection of going around the building. You, like you, you were starting to go there and then suddenly you're back in at the lobby and suddenly you like regain consciousness. Oh, okay. What the fuck?

[00:23:50] Uh, can I spending one of those holds? Can I, um, hold on, let me, let me connect the moves together. I would like to use a pair of romantic move. I haven't picked, um, that is not typically in my playbook. I would like to use, uh, spirit touched. Uh, your experiences have made you sensitive to the supernatural.

[00:24:18] When you sense magical things, roll weird. On a 10 plus, you can sense them fully. On a seven to nine, choose. [00:25:14] Um, for the rest of you, Juliet just kind of, like, walks just, like, kind of just, uh, she's, she walked over to the lobby, the area, and then she, like, started, like, kind of panicking for a moment. Like, you saw, like, panic on her face. And then she became very calm and just walks right into the building. Ah, balls. Johnny, I think it's so... You can grab her shoulders and yank her out. Nope, nope, nope, we're not doing that. The music! You can, you can try.

[00:25:44] Yeah, um, uh, this would probably be, uh... Act under pressure. Yeah, yep. Single, did I just see that? Yeah, fuck that noise. Yeah, okay, yeah, you, you grab her, uh, as, uh, she, she makes, she gets, she gets a couple of steps into the lot, into the interior lobby. Um, and then you yank her out. No, the, the music, can you not hear the music?

[00:26:13] No, I can't hear any horrifying, creepy music coming out of this place. Let's go! Hey, Johnny, Johnny, you wanna, you wanna roll a, you wanna roll a sharp for me? Uh, I don't. I really don't. Oh my god! Alright, we had a good run. Yeah, this was just gonna kill us. Yeah, Dice Pie just hates us right now. Sorry, Nella. You're a genius forevermore.

[00:26:42] Um, I will say, when you, uh, when you quick, went to grab her and, like, pull her out of the lobby, you did see that the interior, um, is fully lit. Uh, you smelled fresh popcorn popping in the, uh, uh, in, at the little, like, uh, lobby, like, uh, snack bar area. And, like, there's, it looks, it doesn't look abandoned inside. It actually looks like it's a fully lit and, and ready to go movie theater. Well, at this point, that's clearly an illusory.

[00:27:09] I'd say, am I hearing or smelling any of this with my enhanced senses? Uh, you can make a sharp roll. Sharp or weird. Uh, no, make, make a weird, make a weird, yeah. Okay. Weird or sharp would work. That's a 10. Uh, you're smelling popcorn. Hooray, we passed one. You, you smell popcorn, um, come, wafting in from the, uh, very inviting, like, theater. Like, it, it reminds you of the first time you went to a movie theater as a kid.

[00:27:38] I was gonna say, is it, like, old popcorn or new popcorn? Because there's a difference. It, it's, it, whatever is most comfortable to you. Like, whatever is most inviting. Okay. Like, well, uh, that's a trap, if you guys haven't noticed. What? So, how about we just burn this place to the ground and see what comes? Uh, we're not gonna be able to get away with that in Texas the way we did in Canada. True. The people here are gonna come out with guns.

[00:28:08] Can we hold a theater hostage by strapping C4 to it? Now, that's a difference. We can. I mean, I'm sure we can. I'm on board of. Unfortunately, I don't have any, uh, I don't have any, uh, I don't have any sacred C4 on me, but I do have blessed dynamite. So, I can take some time to actually bless the C4 before we start.

[00:28:33] And, uh, if I do that out in, if I do that within sight of the theater so that the theater can see me, it sends a clear message. So, why don't I do that? I'll get to blessing the C4. And if they want to negotiate, they can. They just have to come out here and talk to us like, you know, reasonable people would.

[00:29:03] David Allen, maybe start getting working on a counter hex or something. Yeah. Yeah. I have to think, uh, these hysterical sites or, I mean, historical. That too. As you guys are, um, are, are preparing C4 and, and, uh, and charging, charging, charging your hex laser.

[00:29:26] Uh, uh, the, the, the, uh, what's left of the, um, the light bulbs that are on like the, the vertical sign of the Lamina, uh, begin sputtering to life. Hmm. We should leave and come back and do this another time. And it's daytime. Yeah, it's daytime. It's like, uh, I think you guys got in around midday, so. This is so not the time for spooky shit. Mm-hmm.

[00:29:55] Juliette's like sitting on the ground. She's like collecting herself. Is this kind of out of the way or is this right in the middle of town? I can't remember. Uh, no, it's on the outskirts. So like, this is like kind of like a, a part of like a district or, I'm not sure if this is a real thing, but like a place. Cause I, I was trying to look around for like a, like a, a, uh, uh, uh, a, an outskirts kind of like place in, in, in Texarkana. But I, I'm just making up one at this point.

[00:30:23] So, um, but yeah, it's, it's an out of the way area. Um, like a enclosed down businesses and buildings. Um. Old Main Street vibes. Basically. Yeah. Very much old, old Main Street vibes. That's basically wanting to know what kind of audience we're dealing with. Yeah, honestly, you're looking around. There's nobody here for at least a, like, as far as you can tell, there's nobody around.

[00:30:48] I know that it's magic, but who the fuck pays the electricity bill for this place? And she's going to get her drone out of the car. Okay. I think we're alone now. There doesn't seem to be anyone around. Um, are you, um. So you, so you pull out your, your drone and start like flying it around kind of thing? I, yeah. So I want to. I want to use my trusty other eyes.

[00:31:18] And I want to fly the drone into the lobby and see if the drone sees what I just saw. Okay. Uh, that would require somebody to open the door for the drone. I'll open it. Like, I guess I'll open it. I already, I'll say I already know that the smells are bullshit, so. Fair.

[00:31:43] Um, so yeah, you, well, as soon as you start the drone up and like, you're like looking at the exterior, uh, the camera shows or the, the video, the drone's camera shows the Lamina in its former glory. Oh. It's also nighttime. No, no, no. Oh, what the fuck? She's, she's sitting crisscross applesauce on the ground. Oh, no. Like just staring at your, your video camera or your video feed.

[00:32:13] Ah, so it's bad, huh? This is fucked up. I'm going to, I'm going to fly it in. Okay. All right. Uh, yeah. This is fucked up. It's going to make great footage. I'm going to make billions. If it goes out. Uh, yeah. So, um, yeah, uh, geo, you open the door, uh, that smell of, of fresh popcorn popping and, and, uh, like movie theater, uh, nostalgia kind of wafts, wafts upon you.

[00:32:43] Um, and, uh, yeah, the, the, the drone goes inside. Uh, it, um, is showing a fully operational, um, movie theater. Uh, there's nobody around. Um, but you're seeing, uh, movie posters for various films, uh, uh, as if they're like freshly put up on the, uh, on the, in the poster, uh, uh, slots. Do I see any, like, uh, like marquee signage of what is being played? Oh, yeah.

[00:33:13] Actually, when you, when you were outside, you saw the marquee for what's playing right now. Uh, there's only two, this is a, uh, two theater, a two cinema, uh, or two screen. Um, and as you're watching this, uh, as you're seeing this, this event, uh, you are seeing, um, uh, some kind of dark inky thing. [02:44:14] have been like cordoned off by like a fence and are approaching the, uh, the, uh, rambunctious teenagers. I, I, I'm going to start walking up towards cause I helped Jack that last time.
