Let Them Cook
As a villainous army threatens the peace of fair Lannia, a council is assembled to delve into ancient magics and sciences to cook up an army of their own to defend against this evil. Drawing inspiration from an ancient spirit who killed the wicked, these new soldiers will have a name... Orcs!
Cast/Council:
David - Dreaded Hierophant Ex Mortis
Crazon - Dreaded Hierophant Eternal

[00:00:23] Hi, welcome to One Less Die in association with RPX. We are playing a game called Dawn of the Orcs. Yeah, we were given this game by the creators, Lime and Plasmophage. It's going to be getting kickstarted soon, so we are going to try out this game. Guys, I think we've made it.
[00:00:49] We're actually getting indie developers asking us to play their games. We did it! We are the voice of reason! I don't know if RPX deals with that, but that's a milestone for One Less Die. We usually have to ask them. Yeah, exactly. It's not a win! You mind if we play your game?
[00:01:10] Yeah. So yeah, Dawn of the Orcs, it's a narrative GM-less game. The basic kind of pitch from what I recall is you live in a kingdom that is being under-sieged by an evil empire or an evil army that is threatening your lands. And so you have formed a council to dive into the ancient histories and sciences and magic.
[00:01:40] And build your own army to fight them. An ancient army of orcs. We have all made our council members using the table in the game. So I guess, do we want to introduce our council?
[00:01:59] Oh yeah, probably smart.
[00:02:00] At the very least, stick with our own names as opposed to trying to come up with a fantasy one. But I still love the titles. Let's go with the titles.
[00:02:09] Yeah.
[00:02:11] Alright. Well, I guess I'm off the top of the roster, so...
[00:02:15] I'm playing Krazon.
[00:02:19] Dreaded Hierophant Eternal.
[00:02:22] Hi everybody, this is David. I am the dreaded Hierophant Ex Mortis.
[00:02:30] And he's blown away.
[00:02:34] This is Jeremy, I'm the self-appointed Witch of the West.
[00:02:40] Speaking of wind, I just came in from like a tornado or a cyclone.
[00:02:46] This is Joe, I'm the court librarian of the Arcane Arts.
[00:02:50] I'm Darcy, playing the reclusive librarian Emeritus.
[00:02:58] What does that mean, by the way?
[00:03:00] Above me.
[00:03:04] You're retired, but you still keep your honorary castle.
[00:03:09] Okay.
[00:03:11] The title is retained because of merit.
[00:03:14] So, Emeritus.
[00:03:17] Gotcha.
[00:03:19] Sounds very, like...
[00:03:20] This is a very, like, Warhammer 40K...
[00:03:23] Yeah, yeah.
[00:03:25] I feel like I've conquested.
[00:03:27] Yeah.
[00:03:28] You guys got official titles, and I'm like, yeah, I'm just that guy.
[00:03:31] I'm self-appointed.
[00:03:32] I'm a self-made Witch of the West.
[00:03:38] All right.
[00:03:38] So, and then we've all done our...
[00:03:40] I assume we've all, like, chosen our...
[00:03:42] Or gotten our motivation in secret.
[00:03:44] As the book tells us to do.
[00:03:48] Yes.
[00:03:51] And then we have disagreements.
[00:03:53] The Council of Sages...
[00:03:54] The Council of Sages will make many important decisions on how the orcs are made.
[00:04:00] And occasionally advise on strategy at the highest levels.
[00:04:04] When making many decisions, if the Council cannot agree in a reasonable amount of time, put it to a vote.
[00:04:11] The narrator for each chapter breaks the ties.
[00:04:16] Yeah, so there will be, like, a little, like, written bit at the beginning of each chapter.
[00:04:20] And so, like, I guess we just go around the table reading it, or, like, one of us can read it.
[00:04:26] For each chapter.
[00:04:28] That makes sense.
[00:04:30] Yeah.
[00:04:30] And then...
[00:04:31] And then we have Betrayal Mechanic.
[00:04:35] It's one of those games.
[00:04:38] If they so choose, each Sage can secretly betray the Council once per game.
[00:04:43] How do you secretly betray something in a GM-less game?
[00:04:47] I know, right?
[00:04:49] Well, it actually breaks that down.
[00:04:51] Really?
[00:04:52] So, for...
[00:04:54] So, basically, every time that we pick an option for a Sage to betray the Council, they should declare it after an option has been chosen.
[00:05:03] That Sage may then switch it with any different option that the Council could have chosen at that time.
[00:05:08] So, good for instance on that, when we get into Chapter 2, the creation.
[00:05:16] Yeah.
[00:05:16] We choose how the orcs are made.
[00:05:21] And we could decide as a group that we're going to go for option one.
[00:05:27] Which is that they're forged from whole sorcery and raw materials.
[00:05:34] But say, for instance, that our self-appointed witch doesn't like that and goes,
[00:05:39] Eh, you know what?
[00:05:40] I feel like any Lanyan can be turned into an orc through a ritual instead.
[00:05:44] So you would say, I'm using my Betrayal to switch that.
[00:05:49] Ah, yes.
[00:05:50] Oh, so it switches at wholesale.
[00:05:51] Got it.
[00:05:52] Yeah.
[00:05:53] But you're only allowed to do it once per game, so...
[00:05:57] Plan accordingly.
[00:05:58] Yeah.
[00:06:00] Bide your time.
[00:06:02] And strike when it matters the most.
[00:06:05] Yep.
[00:06:06] Oh, I see.
[00:06:07] Everybody suspects the necromancer when something involving the dead is involved.
[00:06:15] I mean, you have to understand.
[00:06:16] It does happen a lot.
[00:06:18] There are a lot of dead people.
[00:06:21] No, no, no.
[00:06:22] I understand.
[00:06:25] It's the bigotry one faces when one works with the dead.
[00:06:30] Yeah.
[00:06:32] You understand, Soulsmith.
[00:06:33] Are you...
[00:06:36] Indeed, yes.
[00:06:37] I often also get mistaken for your line of work.
[00:06:42] Oh, look.
[00:06:43] Dead bodies, dead souls.
[00:06:46] They're kind of the same thing, really.
[00:06:48] It's just a slight difference in material versus ephemera.
[00:06:54] I mean, it's also the principle that they just go on and, like...
[00:06:59] A very pedantic, like, argument.
[00:07:05] All right, yeah.
[00:07:05] So, I guess we'll go into...
[00:07:06] Yeah, we'll start with chapter two.
[00:07:09] Like David said, the creation, which has a little blurb.
[00:07:14] Actually, hang on.
[00:07:14] Do we have a chapter one thing that we have to say?
[00:07:16] Oh, yeah, we do.
[00:07:17] Sorry.
[00:07:17] So, first, chapter one.
[00:07:21] I guess I'll read this one.
[00:07:23] The kingdom of Lania has lived in peace for a thousand years, and the people of Lania do not know the ways of war and have no stomach for violence.
[00:07:32] The conquering armies of the Sterivites now rampage across Lania with none to stop them, putting all to the sword and the torch.
[00:07:46] You are the council of sages that has been assembled to create, through ancient sorcery and reckless science, soldiers able to stand against the Sterivites.
[00:07:56] Inspired by myths of a spirit called Orcus who killed the wicked, you have chosen the name of your creations, Orcs.
[00:08:07] And, yeah, since we have our council of sages, we move on to chapter two.
[00:08:16] The creation.
[00:08:17] When first devised by the council, the Orcs are nothing more or less than people made for war, enabled to kill without hesitation or regret.
[00:08:26] The council has come up with a way to create them and perhaps a way to control them.
[00:08:33] Oh, I see how this works.
[00:08:36] When it's times of peace, I'm a grave robber, but when suddenly I'm needed, it's help us, Necromancer, you're our only hope.
[00:08:44] So, first off, Orcs start with these scores.
[00:08:49] Numbers, Loyalty, Brute, and Clever.
[00:08:52] Every score starts at zero.
[00:08:55] Yeah.
[00:08:56] They're around the same size as the average Lanyon.
[00:08:59] So we get to start picking some options.
[00:09:03] Cue Rocky Horror, in just seven days I can make you a man.
[00:09:08] Mr. Hull, I can make a man out of you.
[00:09:12] Or that.
[00:09:15] So the first choice we have is what are the Orcs made out of?
[00:09:19] Are they forged whole from sorcery and raw materials?
[00:09:24] And if so, they gain plus one numbers.
[00:09:27] If any Lanyon can be turned into an Orc through a ritual, they gain plus one loyalty, and then we have to determine how is the ritual done.
[00:09:35] Yeah.
[00:09:36] And if only some Lanyon's can be turned into Orcs, they gain plus one loyalty, plus one Brute, and minus one numbers.
[00:09:44] In which case we have to determine what sort of Lanyon can become an Orc.
[00:09:49] Yeah.
[00:09:51] So I kind of feel like forging them whole from sorcery and raw materials.
[00:09:56] Sugar, spice, and everything nice.
[00:09:59] Yeah.
[00:10:00] We're creating the Powerpuff Orcs.
[00:10:03] Oh no, Chemical X.
[00:10:06] Why do we have so much Chemical Orc just lying around?
[00:10:12] Oops.
[00:10:13] Oops.
[00:10:13] Why wouldn't you?
[00:10:14] Yeah.
[00:10:15] I thought it was reckless just having it lay around, but now it's coming in handy.
[00:10:20] Yeah.
[00:10:20] We have to say oops every time we dump it in, though.
[00:10:24] What was that, Joe?
[00:10:26] I said I concur.
[00:10:27] Okay.
[00:10:28] Yeah.
[00:10:29] I like if they forge, the forge from whole sorcery and raw materials.
[00:10:36] I like the Powerpuff Orcs.
[00:10:37] I enjoy, I think that's good.
[00:10:40] Are we doing 75% sugar and spice and 25% the spirit of Orcus?
[00:10:47] To be fair, since we're forging them for war, we should probably throw something in there
[00:10:52] that's, you know, like snips and snails, not sugar and spice.
[00:10:57] I'm just saying.
[00:10:59] Paprika.
[00:10:59] Eye of Newt.
[00:11:01] Smoked paprika.
[00:11:03] What do we need with mustard seed?
[00:11:07] Why are they making yellow gas?
[00:11:11] Oh, no.
[00:11:12] No.
[00:11:13] You know what?
[00:11:14] That Eye of Newt was a good call.
[00:11:16] Yeah.
[00:11:18] Librarian Emeritus.
[00:11:19] Excellent idea.
[00:11:20] We want to put something in there that's deadly.
[00:11:24] Some nightshade belladonna.
[00:11:26] Madonna.
[00:11:27] Hang on.
[00:11:28] I have the bottle of the spirit of Orcus.
[00:11:30] Oh!
[00:11:31] Oh, I dropped it.
[00:11:33] Spirit of Orcus is like, oh, no.
[00:11:36] It's a little scream.
[00:11:37] Oh, no.
[00:11:38] I've fallen.
[00:11:40] I've fallen.
[00:11:40] I've fallen over.
[00:11:42] Exportus, go get it.
[00:11:43] The spirit's trying to get away.
[00:11:46] Yeah, yeah.
[00:11:47] I'm on it.
[00:11:48] Wait a minute.
[00:11:49] Why am I the one dispatched it?
[00:11:52] Never mind.
[00:11:52] I'm the one that carried it from my laboratory, from my sepulcher.
[00:12:01] Oh, I see.
[00:12:02] Just because you're the clumsy necromancer.
[00:12:04] It's you that didn't put down the wet floor sign.
[00:12:10] Okay, so, yeah.
[00:12:12] So, that's a one on numbers.
[00:12:16] Now he gets to also choose one.
[00:12:18] If the Orcs are bound in supernatural obedience to an item, record the nature of the item and how it is kept.
[00:12:26] If the Orcs are bound in supernatural loyalty to a person, record that person.
[00:12:31] And the Orcs gain plus two loyalty unless the person should die without heirs.
[00:12:36] And if the Orcs are loyal to nothing, they gain plus one brute, clever, or numbers.
[00:12:42] You know, this kind of feels like a slapdash.
[00:12:45] We threw them together in the basement.
[00:12:48] And it's just a Hail Mary.
[00:12:50] That's the hell of a sudden.
[00:12:51] Yeah, it's like...
[00:12:52] Like, it's that old dusty dungeon that no one's ever, like, really used for, like, a few hundred years.
[00:12:57] But, like...
[00:12:58] It's basically like an old kitchen.
[00:13:00] Like an old...
[00:13:00] Like the bathtub gin.
[00:13:03] Yeah.
[00:13:04] Yeah.
[00:13:05] I didn't see what it could hurt.
[00:13:07] Everything's just new kindness.
[00:13:16] I.
[00:13:17] I agree.
[00:13:18] Yeah.
[00:13:19] Look at that.
[00:13:20] Hang on.
[00:13:21] So we can either give plus three loyalty unless the item falls into the wrong hands, which I assure you, it will.
[00:13:29] The Orcs gain plus two loyalty unless the person should die without heirs.
[00:13:33] Which...
[00:13:34] Kings are especially killable these days.
[00:13:38] Yeah.
[00:13:38] Or the Orcs are loyal to nothing.
[00:13:41] At least we get the advantage.
[00:13:43] Yeah.
[00:13:44] Yeah.
[00:13:45] Yeah, I can...
[00:13:46] I can also agree with the...
[00:13:48] Having them loyal to nothing.
[00:13:51] Yeah.
[00:13:52] I'm done with that one.
[00:13:54] So they've already got plus one numbers.
[00:13:57] So do we want to give them plus one brute?
[00:13:59] Plus one clever?
[00:14:01] Or even more numbers?
[00:14:04] Just fear mass.
[00:14:07] Orkling rush.
[00:14:10] It kind of makes you think...
[00:14:11] There's an old Farsight comic.
[00:14:13] It's like, God makes snakes.
[00:14:15] And he's just rolling clay going, these are easy.
[00:14:17] He's piling them up.
[00:14:22] Just for my bookkeeping.
[00:14:24] So I have like Spiced Paprika, Spirit of Orcus.
[00:14:27] What was the third option?
[00:14:29] The thing before we dropped the Spirit of Orcus into the formula?
[00:14:33] I believe Eye of Newt was one of them.
[00:14:35] That's what it was, yeah.
[00:14:36] Eye of Newt and Belladonna, I think.
[00:14:39] Eye of Newt and Belladonna?
[00:14:43] Sounds nice and orky to me.
[00:14:46] Yep.
[00:14:47] Throw a little high end in there for some spice.
[00:14:49] We were talking about sugar and spice and everything nice.
[00:14:54] So that's mustard seed and pretty lady flowers, which we only afterwards find out.
[00:15:00] Like, ooh, Digitalis.
[00:15:02] Hey, did you know that's poisonous?
[00:15:04] Oops.
[00:15:05] Uh-oh.
[00:15:06] And that's where we got the...
[00:15:07] Yeah.
[00:15:09] Hey, just don't bite them.
[00:15:11] Yeah.
[00:15:12] They're toxic to the environment.
[00:15:15] Scorched earth policies.
[00:15:17] Yeah.
[00:15:18] In that case, I think maybe we should have numbers.
[00:15:21] Just like...
[00:15:22] Because nothing can go wrong if we have like a just a huge expensive number of like of an army that is like poisonous to the land itself.
[00:15:31] You know?
[00:15:33] I would also be remiss if I didn't point out that there is a member of the Belladonna family that people often overlook.
[00:15:42] Guys, we're literally making the attack of the killer tomatoes.
[00:15:47] Oh, God.
[00:15:48] The attack.
[00:15:49] The killer tomatoes.
[00:15:52] Of the killer tomalkas.
[00:15:54] That's how we grow them so fast.
[00:15:56] Yeah, exactly.
[00:15:57] Oh, God.
[00:15:58] They grow from tomatoes.
[00:16:00] From like large mutated tomato plants.
[00:16:02] It's like my grandfather's garden all the time.
[00:16:05] Write that down.
[00:16:05] Write that down.
[00:16:08] So, you know what?
[00:16:10] Let's go for overwhelming numbers.
[00:16:12] Yeah.
[00:16:13] Orcs are loyal to nothing, and so we're going to give them extra numbers.
[00:16:17] Yeah, just swap them.
[00:16:19] Yeah.
[00:16:20] Just overpower them.
[00:16:22] Oh, God.
[00:16:24] Yeah.
[00:16:26] So, in each of the following chapters, a great battle will be fought.
[00:16:30] In the aftermath, the council will have at least five ideas for ways to change or improve the orcs called warps.
[00:16:38] They will not have the time or the resources to implement all five.
[00:16:43] Oh, no.
[00:16:44] So, we should decide which warps we will choose and describe how they go about making each change.
[00:16:51] The sages would never choose fewer warps than they are allowed.
[00:16:54] Their nation's fate is at stake.
[00:16:57] And we also have four shifts that we can make, no matter what has happened.
[00:17:01] The shifts are the same each chapter.
[00:17:03] We can choose as many of the shifts as we'd like each chapter, including none or all four, but each shift can only be done once per chapter, and each is the reverse of another.
[00:17:13] And so that is chapter two.
[00:17:15] We know how we made these orcs.
[00:17:17] We made them from spiced paprika, eye of newt, belladonna, and then the spirit of orcs spilled in.
[00:17:28] Accidentally.
[00:17:29] And then they just start growing out of the belladonna into these mutated tomato plants.
[00:17:35] Oh, God.
[00:17:36] Their head is first, and then their body starts growing from the head.
[00:17:40] Oh!
[00:17:40] It's really gross looking.
[00:17:44] Just immediately angry.
[00:17:46] Yep.
[00:17:47] They look like the Dodongos from Legend of Zelda.
[00:17:50] They just roll everywhere.
[00:17:51] Yeah.
[00:17:54] I think those are the Gorons.
[00:17:55] Oh, the Gorons.
[00:17:57] The Dodongos are the dragon creatures, yeah.
[00:17:59] Oh, yeah, you're right.
[00:18:00] Whoops.
[00:18:01] No, that's fine.
[00:18:04] All right.
[00:18:06] So who wants to read chapter three?
[00:18:08] Yep.
[00:18:10] I'll go ahead and start us up on chapter three.
[00:18:13] Chapter three.
[00:18:15] The Slaughter of Shrike Forest.
[00:18:17] In an act of desperation, the first few orcs are sent against an overwhelming Stryovite force.
[00:18:24] The Stryovites make camp in the gloomy depths of the Shrike Forest.
[00:18:29] The orcs strike at night, hoping surprise and shock will make up for their lack of numbers, arms, and experience.
[00:18:38] Pick any two scores.
[00:18:40] Pick any two scores to serve as stratagem.
[00:18:42] But those scores can never be used together as a stratagem again.
[00:18:47] Roll 1d6 plus stratagem.
[00:18:49] On a total of five or higher.
[00:18:51] Lania is victorious.
[00:18:55] Uh-oh.
[00:18:57] Yeah, we should have diversified.
[00:19:00] Well.
[00:19:02] Welp.
[00:19:03] So here's my crazy thought.
[00:19:06] Um, we can use any two scores we want.
[00:19:09] So let's start with numbers, because that's at a two.
[00:19:12] Yeah.
[00:19:13] Yeah.
[00:19:13] And then, um, any of the other ones.
[00:19:16] So let's go for clever numbers to start.
[00:19:21] Okay.
[00:19:23] Uh, all right.
[00:19:24] So.
[00:19:26] And we're just hoping for a total of five or higher.
[00:19:30] Yeah.
[00:19:30] Uh, so who wants, I guess, who wants to make the roll for this one?
[00:19:34] Um.
[00:19:35] Would you like for me to roll?
[00:19:37] Go for it, yeah.
[00:19:38] Go for it.
[00:19:39] Do-do-do.
[00:19:40] Come on, Gen Con die.
[00:19:42] Don't fail us now.
[00:19:44] Huzzah!
[00:19:45] That is a four on the die.
[00:19:47] So four plus two is six, which is higher than a five.
[00:19:52] Victory!
[00:19:53] Victory!
[00:19:54] Victory!
[00:19:54] Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
[00:19:57] On a victory, the orc ambush is terrifying and unexpected.
[00:20:03] Stryovite soldiers break and flee in terror.
[00:20:06] The orcs run them down, and the creeks of Shrike Forest run red with Stryovite blood.
[00:20:12] Pick three warps.
[00:20:17] Wow.
[00:20:17] Yeah.
[00:20:18] Three warps.
[00:20:19] I just imagine it's like, oh god, they're so, like, they're so red and they're, like,
[00:20:24] streaming off yellow gases.
[00:20:26] There's so many!
[00:20:30] They are blight upon this land.
[00:20:32] Of available warps.
[00:20:34] We have five selections thus far.
[00:20:38] Orcs can fly into a battle rage, plus one to brute.
[00:20:42] Orcs have natural weapons, plus one to brute.
[00:20:46] Orcs are hard to kill, plus one to numbers.
[00:20:48] We know how that goes.
[00:20:50] Yeah.
[00:20:50] Orcs can march forward without tiring and survive off of scraps and forage that would make Elenians sick.
[00:20:59] And finally, orcs can see by night, plus one to clever.
[00:21:04] I feel orcs have a natural weapon, and that's the mustard gas streaming off of them.
[00:21:10] I kind of like that.
[00:21:12] Yeah, I'm liking our scorched earth.
[00:21:15] Yeah, we're just, it's like, you think it's like, oh, you just done fucked up.
[00:21:20] Lania's really Canada.
[00:21:23] You picked the wrong adversary, sir.
[00:21:28] Yeah.
[00:21:28] I kind of feel like they're also very resilient, because tomatoes can survive a lot, so they are hard to kill.
[00:21:37] They got real tough skin.
[00:21:39] Yeah.
[00:21:42] What do you think, Joe?
[00:21:46] Three in total, too.
[00:21:48] So we can add either battle rage and double up on brute.
[00:21:53] We can add survive off scraps and add even more numbers.
[00:21:58] Or we can actually lean into clever.
[00:22:01] What are you thinking, Joe?
[00:22:04] I mean, if we're going classic orc, I would say they survive off scraps.
[00:22:15] Yeah.
[00:22:16] They just plant themselves down in, and they just suck it out of the soil.
[00:22:20] Yeah.
[00:22:20] Again, breeding the land.
[00:22:21] Yeah.
[00:22:24] Yeah.
[00:22:25] Oh, we are creating our own destruction.
[00:22:27] Are we?
[00:22:28] Yeah.
[00:22:29] Yeah.
[00:22:31] Yeah.
[00:22:32] Yeah.
[00:22:33] Yeah.
[00:22:34] Yeah.
[00:22:35] The Hierophant Eternal is just like, are we the baddies?
[00:22:40] Are we the drama?
[00:22:43] Look, this is what happens when you give us an hour to make an army.
[00:22:46] Okay?
[00:22:46] Yeah.
[00:22:47] We had an hour to fix this, and this is all we had.
[00:22:52] Let us cook.
[00:22:57] That's the name of the episode right there.
[00:22:59] Let us cook.
[00:23:00] Yeah.
[00:23:01] Absolutely.
[00:23:01] Dawn of the Orcs.
[00:23:02] Let them cook.
[00:23:05] My God.
[00:23:07] All right.
[00:23:08] I'm just going to add that to my notes.
[00:23:13] Okay.
[00:23:16] All right.
[00:23:17] So, I guess we'll...
[00:23:19] So, yeah.
[00:23:20] So, we're agreeing with...
[00:23:21] Take the top three, yeah?
[00:23:22] Top three?
[00:23:23] Okay.
[00:23:23] Yeah.
[00:23:24] Fly into a battle.
[00:23:25] Oh, great.
[00:23:25] Or, wait.
[00:23:26] Sorry.
[00:23:26] Not the top three.
[00:23:26] No, we went to survive off land.
[00:23:28] We went natural weapon.
[00:23:30] Yeah, middle three.
[00:23:31] Okay.
[00:23:31] The middle three.
[00:23:32] Okay.
[00:23:32] So, hard to kill natural weapons, and they can feed off anything.
[00:23:36] Okay, cool.
[00:23:36] Yep.
[00:23:37] Yeah.
[00:23:37] Natural weapon, mustard gas, hard to kill.
[00:23:39] Oh, my God.
[00:23:39] So, we're currently looking at, like, plus four on numbers, and then...
[00:23:44] One on root.
[00:23:46] Oh, my God.
[00:23:47] Oh, but hang on.
[00:23:48] One of these stats.
[00:23:49] Hang on, though.
[00:23:50] We have a thing here, though, because we used numbers last time, right?
[00:23:53] And it said, but those scores can never be used together as...
[00:23:58] Oh, they can never be used together again.
[00:24:01] Yeah.
[00:24:01] So, we use numbers and clever.
[00:24:04] Yeah.
[00:24:05] So, we can still do numbers and brute.
[00:24:09] Okay.
[00:24:09] Yes.
[00:24:11] Yeah.
[00:24:12] Yeah.
[00:24:13] And then...
[00:24:14] Gee, however do these orcs betray us?
[00:24:18] Yeah.
[00:24:19] Yeah.
[00:24:21] The council may do any and all of these at the end of each chapter, but each only once per chapter.
[00:24:29] Make the orcs larger.
[00:24:32] Move them up a size of scale, which gives them a plus one brute, but it brings down their numbers.
[00:24:38] Make the orcs smaller.
[00:24:40] Move them down a size of scale by one.
[00:24:42] So, they minus one brute.
[00:24:44] That's the cherry tomato force.
[00:24:45] Yeah.
[00:24:48] Indoctrinate the orcs.
[00:24:49] Write one belief you give them.
[00:24:52] Plus one loyalty, but minus one clever.
[00:24:54] And then, or educate the orcs.
[00:24:57] Unionize the orcs.
[00:24:59] Yeah.
[00:25:00] So, yeah.
[00:25:02] Oh, my God.
[00:25:02] It's like...
[00:25:03] I'm just thinking...
[00:25:04] Again, I'm just thinking of, like, the Vortia and how the Asari mining crews...
[00:25:08] Like, would educate Vortia just so they could throw them onto, like, desolate planets to mine.
[00:25:15] You're in it now, brothers.
[00:25:18] Yeah, what are we thinking for this, guys?
[00:25:21] You know what?
[00:25:22] I kind of feel like if we were to make the orcs larger, that would even numbers out a little bit.
[00:25:28] So, that'll give them two brute and three numbers.
[00:25:32] Yeah.
[00:25:32] Yeah.
[00:25:34] Um...
[00:25:35] I feel like they should be right by the Lord and Lord of Souls and perhaps be indoctrinated in some way into our faith.
[00:25:44] This is their...
[00:25:45] This is our...
[00:25:47] Our divine land.
[00:25:50] Our mustard, gassy, tomato, divine right.
[00:25:54] Our soon-to-be blighted lands.
[00:25:57] Well, look.
[00:26:01] It's just dangerous for soldiers.
[00:26:04] It's not bad for plants.
[00:26:06] Like, if we release the mustard gas, it actually fertilizes the soil a bit.
[00:26:10] So, it's not hurting our farmland.
[00:26:13] As a matter of fact, the farmers are going to thank us in a generation or two.
[00:26:16] It is what plants crave.
[00:26:18] They'll thank us.
[00:26:19] It is, in fact, what plants crave.
[00:26:21] Oh, my God.
[00:26:23] That and all the blood that we're going to be soaking in.
[00:26:26] Well, that, too.
[00:26:29] Delicious iron.
[00:26:30] Yeah.
[00:26:31] Blood meal, bone meal, you know, the usual stuff.
[00:26:34] Blood for the blood, God.
[00:26:36] Okay, so we are planning on making them larger?
[00:26:40] Larger and indoctrinated.
[00:26:43] So...
[00:26:44] They'll have a loyalty of one and a clever of minus one.
[00:26:49] But we also get to write one belief that we give them.
[00:26:52] How about...
[00:26:55] So, hear me out on this.
[00:27:00] How about we push for the belief that the wizened members of the council are in violate?
[00:27:08] That's probably smart.
[00:27:10] I like it.
[00:27:13] That's exactly the sort of surface smart, death-thumb move these dudes would do.
[00:27:21] Yeah.
[00:27:23] The council...
[00:27:24] Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:27:24] They can't help us.
[00:27:25] They can't hurt us.
[00:27:27] Yeah.
[00:27:28] As long as they don't hurt us, we're good.
[00:27:31] We're fine.
[00:27:32] We're awesome.
[00:27:32] It's fine.
[00:27:34] All right.
[00:27:34] So the council...
[00:27:35] If they wanted to not get killed by orcs, they could have made their own.
[00:27:39] The recipe was right fucking there this whole time.
[00:27:42] I mean, it was tucked under a way in some scrolls.
[00:27:44] But it was right there in the libraries.
[00:27:46] We all saw it.
[00:27:47] I was using that book to prop up a table.
[00:27:50] All you had to do was some research.
[00:27:53] Yeah.
[00:27:54] Visit a library once in a while.
[00:27:57] Take a look.
[00:27:58] It's in a book.
[00:27:59] It's orcish rainbow.
[00:28:01] Gun of the orcs.
[00:28:04] So the council of sages is...
[00:28:06] What was that word you said?
[00:28:08] Inviolate.
[00:28:10] Inviolate.
[00:28:10] Okay.
[00:28:11] I'm guessing that means...
[00:28:11] Yeah, inviolate.
[00:28:12] Yeah, okay.
[00:28:13] They can't hurt us.
[00:28:15] They could hurt anybody else, but no hurt daddy.
[00:28:19] Don't wake daddy.
[00:28:20] Oh, no.
[00:28:22] All right.
[00:28:24] Yeah, I think I'm...
[00:28:25] Are we all happy with that?
[00:28:27] Mm-hmm.
[00:28:27] Yeah, I think so.
[00:28:28] Yeah.
[00:28:30] Our army grows.
[00:28:32] Yeah.
[00:28:34] All right.
[00:28:35] On to chapter four, then.
[00:28:38] I guess I'll do this one.
[00:28:41] The rescue at Sinosef.
[00:28:44] Styrovite cavalry carries off the royal family of Lania.
[00:28:48] The orcs have one small chance to head them off at the small village of Sinotep.
[00:28:54] Sinosef and rescue the royals.
[00:28:57] Getting two scores to serve as a stratagem.
[00:28:59] The scores can never be used again.
[00:29:02] Or can never be used together as a stratagem again.
[00:29:05] Roll one D6 plus stratagem.
[00:29:07] On a fiber tire, Lania is victorious.
[00:29:11] All right.
[00:29:12] That's great.
[00:29:13] What do we want to use?
[00:29:14] So, yeah.
[00:29:15] What do we got?
[00:29:15] So, we can't use numbers or clever anymore.
[00:29:18] No, no.
[00:29:19] We can't use numbers and clever.
[00:29:21] Yeah, numbers and clever.
[00:29:22] Sorry.
[00:29:23] That's what I meant.
[00:29:23] Yeah.
[00:29:23] You can't use numbers and clever again.
[00:29:25] Now, on the other hand, we could use, say, numbers and brute.
[00:29:30] Yeah.
[00:29:31] That's the direction I'm leaning in.
[00:29:33] Yeah.
[00:29:33] Because if we use numbers and brute, I'm just going to throw this out there.
[00:29:38] We need to get a five or higher with five plus a D6.
[00:29:44] Yeah.
[00:29:45] We're good.
[00:29:46] Yeah.
[00:29:46] It's good odds.
[00:29:47] We will definitely save that royal family.
[00:29:51] Yeah.
[00:29:54] All right.
[00:29:56] Save the paycheck, people.
[00:29:58] Save the paycheck.
[00:30:01] We roll a die.
[00:30:02] Not that it matters.
[00:30:04] Don't let our meal ticket run away.
[00:30:06] A little of eight.
[00:30:08] What?
[00:30:09] Actually, here's the thing, though.
[00:30:10] If any score reaches minus eight, minus four, four, or eight this chapter, list one new custom
[00:30:17] the orcs have begun that sets them apart from the Lanyans.
[00:30:25] Okay.
[00:30:26] So we just don't want that numbers to reach a four.
[00:30:30] Yeah.
[00:30:31] Well, we hit an eight.
[00:30:33] We hit an eight, though.
[00:30:34] Yeah.
[00:30:34] So.
[00:30:34] Well, no, no.
[00:30:35] We hit a roll of eight.
[00:30:37] We didn't hit eight.
[00:30:38] Oh, that's right.
[00:30:39] We didn't hit a trade roll of eight.
[00:30:42] Oh, okay.
[00:30:43] It's a score.
[00:30:44] Okay.
[00:30:44] Yeah.
[00:30:44] Gotcha.
[00:30:45] Yeah.
[00:30:46] Yeah.
[00:30:46] I guess we should have been, because that's also in, that was also in chapter two.
[00:30:50] So I don't think we had that though.
[00:30:52] So.
[00:30:53] Um.
[00:30:54] Yeah.
[00:30:56] Yeah.
[00:30:56] We have a victory.
[00:30:57] Yeah.
[00:30:59] Enough orcs are in the area to surround the Styrovites.
[00:31:02] After a tense standoff, the royals are rescued unharmed.
[00:31:06] From now on, the Council of Sages has the backing of the crown no matter what they do.
[00:31:12] Ha ha ha.
[00:31:12] Take three warps.
[00:31:14] Huzzah!
[00:31:16] Woo hoo.
[00:31:16] We got funding.
[00:31:19] I finally got that government grant.
[00:31:21] Yeah, basically.
[00:31:23] Uh, we're kicking off the military industrial complex.
[00:31:26] Yeah, not just a self-made witch no more.
[00:31:29] That's right.
[00:31:30] I'll show that.
[00:31:31] Well, hey, you may have been self-appointed to start, but now you're self-appointed with royal backing.
[00:31:37] I'll show them.
[00:31:38] I'll show them all.
[00:31:39] I'll show you, dad.
[00:31:42] Learned it from watching you.
[00:31:44] All right.
[00:31:45] I have a suggestion for the warps.
[00:31:48] Okay.
[00:31:49] Uh, they can have children with each other.
[00:31:53] For more numbers.
[00:31:54] Number go up.
[00:31:56] Number go up.
[00:31:57] Number go up.
[00:31:58] Uh, and they can have half-work children with Lanyans, so we get more loyalty.
[00:32:04] Ooh.
[00:32:04] I think that's kind of important.
[00:32:07] That is kind of important.
[00:32:10] Hmm.
[00:32:12] The other one is, uh, orcs are taught the sorcery needed to create more orcs, which is plus two numbers minus one orc.
[00:32:19] No.
[00:32:20] No.
[00:32:21] Let's, let's say that, uh, we, let, let, let, let, first generations were, are our creations.
[00:32:25] And then, like, let's, let's not give them the secrets of their own, of their own creation.
[00:32:29] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:32:29] Listen.
[00:32:30] Give them more depression.
[00:32:32] Yeah.
[00:32:33] It'll be fun.
[00:32:34] Come on.
[00:32:34] What could, what's the worst that could happen?
[00:32:35] I, I do like this, uh, the orcs being, uh, what if they craved the flesh of our enemies?
[00:32:42] You know?
[00:32:43] I mean, yeah.
[00:32:44] No?
[00:32:44] We're, we're, we're fine.
[00:32:45] Like, even if, like, you know, something goes terribly wrong.
[00:32:49] Like, they're gonna leave us alone.
[00:32:51] Yeah.
[00:32:52] Because we are the, we're, don't eat daddy.
[00:32:56] It's like composting at this point.
[00:32:59] If they, oh, real score, Sterling.
[00:33:02] Oh, no.
[00:33:03] If they crave the flesh of their enemies.
[00:33:06] Yeah.
[00:33:06] As long as they're eating, yeah.
[00:33:07] As long as they're eating styrovate flesh, it's fine.
[00:33:09] Yeah.
[00:33:10] And that means we don't have to bury anything.
[00:33:12] They kind of just take care of it.
[00:33:13] Like, they kill everybody and they clean up after themselves.
[00:33:16] That's right.
[00:33:16] Perfect children.
[00:33:18] Yeah.
[00:33:19] Meat's back on the menu, boys.
[00:33:21] We've all heard the ancient scripture.
[00:33:23] Right, look.
[00:33:24] At this point, the farmers are gonna absolutely love us because they're gonna come back to pre-tilled
[00:33:31] fields that are loaded with fertilizer.
[00:33:34] Yes, exactly.
[00:33:35] Think of all the bone meal we're gonna have.
[00:33:37] Think of all the blood meal we're gonna have.
[00:33:39] That too, yes.
[00:33:41] Bone meal, blood meal.
[00:33:43] The kingdom of Hinesdale?
[00:33:46] I just, I just wanna, we just have big ass tomato orcs instead of cabbages.
[00:33:53] Oh yeah, it's the kingdom of, this is the secret, like, the ancient secret history of Hinesdale.
[00:33:58] Oh, it's just.
[00:34:00] We also are sinful with the bodies in the fields.
[00:34:05] I'm totally not gonna write this into, like, when you guys get down into the Grigirg gazebo,
[00:34:08] you find ancient ruins of a once proud Lanyan kingdom.
[00:34:14] Whiskers of orcs.
[00:34:16] Yeah.
[00:34:18] Okay, so what are we at number-wise?
[00:34:21] Sorry, that'll be three.
[00:34:23] We got three?
[00:34:24] Okay.
[00:34:25] So that'll be two, three, and four.
[00:34:30] Four numbers, sorry.
[00:34:32] The numbers of the wards.
[00:34:35] So they get plus one numbers, plus one group, plus one loyalty.
[00:34:40] Cool.
[00:34:40] Okay, so four numbers.
[00:34:44] Oh.
[00:34:46] Sorry, I've been, like, bringing them down, like, making kind of a chart, like, that way.
[00:34:50] Sorry.
[00:34:51] Uh-oh.
[00:34:51] Uh-oh.
[00:34:52] Yeah, we get to figure out what the four and eights do now.
[00:34:55] We have to give them a new custom.
[00:34:57] Oh, no!
[00:34:58] Yeah, it's okay.
[00:34:59] Right, we did that shit.
[00:35:00] Okay.
[00:35:03] All right, I've got this one.
[00:35:04] We have to put on a little bub before they eat the people?
[00:35:08] Actually, no.
[00:35:10] Look, it's...
[00:35:12] This one kind of fits with that whole indoctrination thing that we started before.
[00:35:19] Mm-hmm.
[00:35:20] Mm-hmm.
[00:35:22] And that is, you realize that we need for them to have some way to track their numbers of kills.
[00:35:31] Mm-hmm.
[00:35:32] Because if we just turn them loose willy-nilly, we don't see any styrovites, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're doing their job.
[00:35:41] So, uh, we have them harvest a specific bone from every kill.
[00:35:48] Skulls.
[00:35:49] Skulls for the skull throne.
[00:35:50] That's right.
[00:35:51] Yeah!
[00:35:52] We have them making femurs, but skulls work, too.
[00:35:55] Okay, fair.
[00:35:56] All of them are.
[00:35:57] No, the funny bone.
[00:35:59] You know, let's do that.
[00:36:01] Because, I mean, humor is good for the soul.
[00:36:04] Yeah, humor is...
[00:36:05] It is.
[00:36:06] Ah!
[00:36:08] All of them running around looking like Rattleshirt from Game of Thrones.
[00:36:12] Yeah.
[00:36:13] Oh, man.
[00:36:14] All right.
[00:36:14] Can you imagine, too, though, if they take it out of order and are just ripping the bones out before the kill?
[00:36:22] Oh, no!
[00:36:24] Oh, shit.
[00:36:25] Okay.
[00:36:25] Well, somebody's gonna kill steal, though.
[00:36:27] First harvest second.
[00:36:29] Yeah.
[00:36:30] Hang on, I'm just gonna put in some notes here for population.
[00:36:34] Can bear children with each other and create hybrids with lanyards.
[00:36:47] That won't go wrong.
[00:36:48] Look at that little red-faced child.
[00:36:51] Yeah.
[00:36:51] Oh, guys, so...
[00:36:52] Guys, hear me out.
[00:36:53] After this game, D&D.
[00:36:54] All our half-orcs.
[00:36:56] Yeah.
[00:36:58] We're all like the descendants.
[00:37:02] We all smell vaguely like tomato soup.
[00:37:05] And mustard gas.
[00:37:07] Okay.
[00:37:08] So the other reason why I'm asking...
[00:37:10] Let's take a look at our document here.
[00:37:12] Yes, our hand.
[00:37:15] So we're at numbers four, loyalty two, brute three, clever minus one.
[00:37:21] Yeah, so also the custom was they can...
[00:37:24] For every kill, the funny bone must be harvested.
[00:37:29] That's right.
[00:37:32] You have to remove the humors.
[00:37:35] Yep.
[00:37:39] So do we want to do shifts?
[00:37:43] Because I feel like we can move them up the scale by one, make them even bigger.
[00:37:50] If we do the shift, I think we can...
[00:37:53] We might be able to avoid giving them new custom.
[00:37:59] Oh, no.
[00:38:00] It's when the score reaches.
[00:38:02] Okay.
[00:38:03] No.
[00:38:03] All right.
[00:38:03] We're good.
[00:38:06] I am anti-shift this time.
[00:38:08] If we make them bigger, we're going to make another custom with brute.
[00:38:12] That's true.
[00:38:13] Yeah.
[00:38:15] I was going to say, though, we could make them slightly more loyal and slightly less clever
[00:38:19] by...
[00:38:20] I was thinking that too.
[00:38:21] Yeah.
[00:38:23] By indoctrinating them further.
[00:38:24] Give them a new belief.
[00:38:27] I am opposed to making them just stupid.
[00:38:30] I'm sorry.
[00:38:31] Do we really want a wah?
[00:38:35] Yeah.
[00:38:36] I've heard tale of the ancient writings of the wah.
[00:38:40] Yeah.
[00:38:41] I mean, look, we could teach them how to wog this way.
[00:38:43] Oh my god.
[00:38:45] We can't even talk this way.
[00:38:48] And I do feel like educating them will kind of just give us a net loss.
[00:38:52] Because we'll be down...
[00:38:54] It'll be zero loyalty, zero clever.
[00:38:57] Yeah.
[00:38:57] I'm not saying...
[00:38:59] No shifts at all is my argument.
[00:39:02] Actually, no.
[00:39:03] Giving them...
[00:39:03] Actually, if we do...
[00:39:04] I was going to say, if we do educate them as well, we'll be down plus one loyalty and
[00:39:10] then zero clever.
[00:39:11] So we'll actually have...
[00:39:11] We won't have anything in the negative.
[00:39:18] Nah.
[00:39:19] Let's go with no shift.
[00:39:21] We don't want them to be too smart.
[00:39:23] But extra loyal is good.
[00:39:25] Extra loyalty is good.
[00:39:26] We don't want them to be too smart.
[00:39:28] But we don't want them to be, like...
[00:39:31] At this point, they're slightly dumber than the average Lannian.
[00:39:35] Yeah.
[00:39:36] Which is right where we want them.
[00:39:39] Yeah.
[00:39:39] Not...
[00:39:40] Not...
[00:39:41] Not brutally dumb.
[00:39:42] Yeah.
[00:39:42] Not, like...
[00:39:43] Rule.
[00:39:45] Just not...
[00:39:46] They're...
[00:39:47] They're...
[00:39:47] We want crocs, not orcs.
[00:39:50] Yeah.
[00:39:50] Yeah.
[00:39:51] Yeah.
[00:39:52] Again, to recite the ancient prophecies in scripture.
[00:40:00] All right.
[00:40:01] So, yeah.
[00:40:01] I guess we're all in agreement then.
[00:40:02] No shifts this time around.
[00:40:04] Right.
[00:40:05] Shifts.
[00:40:06] Yeah.
[00:40:07] Anybody want to backstab or anything like that?
[00:40:10] Not yet.
[00:40:11] No, I'm good at the moment.
[00:40:12] Yeah.
[00:40:14] I'm proud of our little army.
[00:40:16] They grow so fast!
[00:40:18] Our big guys...
[00:40:19] Oh, yeah.
[00:40:19] Shoot.
[00:40:20] What's their...
[00:40:20] Yeah, I guess I should fix their size.
[00:40:22] So they were the size of average Lannians.
[00:40:24] Now they're bigger?
[00:40:25] Yes.
[00:40:26] I won?
[00:40:26] Okay.
[00:40:27] Go get them, little buddies.
[00:40:30] We can make it on our own!
[00:40:34] Larger than the average Lannian.
[00:40:37] And not smarter than the average bear.
[00:40:39] No.
[00:40:40] Well, maybe...
[00:40:42] Although, to be fair, they are starting to get a little grizzly.
[00:40:45] Yeah.
[00:40:46] They're smarter than the average bear.
[00:40:49] Dumber than the average tourist.
[00:40:52] Yeah.
[00:40:53] All right, I'm going to just put down the stratagems...
[00:40:56] Or our stats down the next chapter.
[00:41:00] All right.
[00:41:02] So, on to chapter five.
[00:41:05] Jeremy?
[00:41:06] Yep.
[00:41:07] Chapter five.
[00:41:09] The Siege of Wormhill.
[00:41:11] Trapped in the ancient stone fortress of Wormhill,
[00:41:15] the orc army must withstand a siege through a winter of storms
[00:41:17] and a summer of famine
[00:41:19] in the labyrinth of abandoned tunnels beneath the fortress.
[00:41:22] They wage grim and bloody fights against the styrovite sappers
[00:41:25] and feral ghouls alike.
[00:41:27] The sages prepare reinforcements in hidden camps.
[00:41:30] Pick any two scorers to serve as a stratagem,
[00:41:32] but these two scorers can never be used together as a stratagem again.
[00:41:37] Roll plus 1d6 plus stratagem.
[00:41:39] On a total of eight or higher, Lannia is victorious.
[00:41:43] Okay, so we've done numbers and clever.
[00:41:47] Numbers and brute.
[00:41:49] So, I guess it makes sense that we'd now go with numbers and loyalty?
[00:41:55] Uh, yeah.
[00:41:56] Loyalty and brute.
[00:41:58] Which actually makes sense because their loyalty is being tested,
[00:42:02] and so are their numbers in this time of famine and strife.
[00:42:06] Yeah.
[00:42:06] Yeah.
[00:42:07] Yeah.
[00:42:08] So, what's the plus on that one?
[00:42:11] The plus on that is a six.
[00:42:14] Oh, well.
[00:42:14] Okay.
[00:42:15] So, on a victory.
[00:42:17] That's a 12.
[00:42:18] Wow.
[00:42:19] Yeah.
[00:42:20] Overwhelming victory.
[00:42:22] On a victory,
[00:42:23] the defense of Wormhill gives all Lannians a glint of hope.
[00:42:27] In autumn,
[00:42:29] orc reinforcements catch the besieging styrovites by surprise
[00:42:32] and inflict great casualties before they can flee.
[00:42:35] Pick three warps.
[00:42:37] Okay.
[00:42:38] Warp number one.
[00:42:39] All orcs are created knowing how to fight and fight well.
[00:42:43] Plus one brute.
[00:42:45] Number two.
[00:42:47] One animal finds a common understanding with orcs.
[00:42:50] The orcs use them as beasts of burden and dogs of war.
[00:42:54] Plus one numbers.
[00:42:55] The orcs begin,
[00:42:57] number three,
[00:42:57] the orcs begin to forge vicious weapons of their own design.
[00:43:02] Plus one clever and plus one brute.
[00:43:04] I like that one.
[00:43:06] Yeah.
[00:43:07] Orcs fall in love with fire,
[00:43:08] using it as a weapon of terror and sabotage.
[00:43:11] Plus one clever.
[00:43:12] Hey,
[00:43:13] it's like,
[00:43:13] what is it?
[00:43:15] Ash is really good for fertilizer.
[00:43:17] It is.
[00:43:18] Yeah, it is.
[00:43:19] Lit.
[00:43:20] And number five,
[00:43:21] the council works with gifted orcs to develop a system of battle magic
[00:43:25] to use for their,
[00:43:26] for their use.
[00:43:27] Plus one clever.
[00:43:28] Oh God.
[00:43:29] Guys,
[00:43:29] guys,
[00:43:29] hear me out.
[00:43:30] The orcs use their own souls to,
[00:43:32] to cast magic.
[00:43:34] So we get three warps.
[00:43:36] So in spirit of orcs himself.
[00:43:38] Yeah.
[00:43:38] That's where the spirit of orcs.
[00:43:40] We create battle clerics.
[00:43:42] I feel like battle clerics is good,
[00:43:45] but,
[00:43:46] uh,
[00:43:46] vicious weapons of their own design definitely fits.
[00:43:51] Yes.
[00:43:52] I like the,
[00:43:54] yeah,
[00:43:54] weapons of their own design with the plus one clever plus one brute.
[00:43:57] That sounds awesome.
[00:43:58] I agree.
[00:44:00] Yeah.
[00:44:01] The fall in love with fire is pretty nice too.
[00:44:03] Yeah.
[00:44:04] I do like the,
[00:44:05] also one animal has found common,
[00:44:07] uh,
[00:44:07] understanding with the orcs.
[00:44:09] Like,
[00:44:09] what would our animal be?
[00:44:11] Well,
[00:44:11] since they were underground in the last chapter,
[00:44:14] what if it was like some kind of like giant mole spider or something?
[00:44:17] Oh my God.
[00:44:19] Moles,
[00:44:20] spiders,
[00:44:20] mole spiders.
[00:44:21] I love it.
[00:44:22] I'm talking about it.
[00:44:23] Moles,
[00:44:23] spiders.
[00:44:24] Naked mole spiders.
[00:44:25] Give them their own.
[00:44:26] Write that down.
[00:44:27] Write that down.
[00:44:29] Okay.
[00:44:30] See,
[00:44:30] what I love about this game is I get to draw this shit later.
[00:44:33] Naked mole.
[00:44:34] All right.
[00:44:35] So orcs get,
[00:44:37] orcs have,
[00:44:37] uh,
[00:44:38] have the best boys.
[00:44:39] Oh,
[00:44:42] so just to make sure that I'm getting this down,
[00:44:44] right.
[00:44:45] Uh,
[00:44:45] chapter three,
[00:44:46] um,
[00:44:47] it was numbers plus brute.
[00:44:52] Uh,
[00:44:53] so,
[00:44:53] uh,
[00:44:54] chapter three was a numbers first,
[00:44:55] uh,
[00:44:56] brute.
[00:44:56] Yeah.
[00:44:56] Okay.
[00:44:57] And then this one was just numbers plus loyalty.
[00:45:01] Yeah.
[00:45:02] We're really just like,
[00:45:04] like numbers plus.
[00:45:05] Yeah.
[00:45:06] Except we can't do that anymore.
[00:45:07] No,
[00:45:08] well,
[00:45:09] we could do numbers plus,
[00:45:10] uh,
[00:45:10] well,
[00:45:10] we've already done numbers plus clever.
[00:45:12] Yeah.
[00:45:13] Yeah.
[00:45:13] That was our first.
[00:45:14] We've done the only one.
[00:45:16] Sorry.
[00:45:16] The,
[00:45:17] the only one we haven't done is,
[00:45:19] uh,
[00:45:19] numbers.
[00:45:20] Well,
[00:45:20] we've done numbers plus loyalty numbers plus clever numbers plus brute.
[00:45:24] Yeah.
[00:45:25] So I think we're actually,
[00:45:26] we actually have to rely on our other strategies.
[00:45:29] Yeah.
[00:45:30] But that's okay.
[00:45:31] Cause,
[00:45:31] uh,
[00:45:32] we just,
[00:45:32] we just,
[00:45:33] we did clever.
[00:45:34] Yeah.
[00:45:35] Uh,
[00:45:35] I did give them plus.
[00:45:36] Oh,
[00:45:37] we now have five in numbers too.
[00:45:41] Um,
[00:45:42] yeah.
[00:45:42] And then clever and brute with the vicious weapons.
[00:45:46] Um,
[00:45:48] so,
[00:45:48] Oh,
[00:45:49] Oh no,
[00:45:50] but we have a custom now because brute is for.
[00:45:53] Yeah.
[00:45:54] Uh,
[00:45:55] and then what was,
[00:45:57] um,
[00:45:58] the last one?
[00:45:58] I like to fall in love with fire,
[00:45:59] but also battle magic is kind of fun too.
[00:46:02] Battle clerics.
[00:46:05] I'm yeah.
[00:46:06] I think,
[00:46:07] I think I'd like,
[00:46:08] I'm,
[00:46:09] I'm,
[00:46:09] for one,
[00:46:10] like as,
[00:46:10] as the,
[00:46:10] uh,
[00:46:11] eternal hierophant,
[00:46:12] uh,
[00:46:12] I'm,
[00:46:12] I'm going with,
[00:46:13] uh,
[00:46:14] battle clerics,
[00:46:18] but that's my,
[00:46:18] I too lean,
[00:46:20] lean towards the spirit of Orcus.
[00:46:23] Yeah.
[00:46:24] I mean,
[00:46:24] that's the spirit of Orcus.
[00:46:27] You know,
[00:46:28] librarian of the mystic arts.
[00:46:30] Does it give him the magic?
[00:46:32] What could possibly go wrong?
[00:46:34] Yeah.
[00:46:34] What could possibly go wrong?
[00:46:36] It's like,
[00:46:37] yeah.
[00:46:38] Yeah.
[00:46:39] We'll make them fall in love with fire.
[00:46:40] So they'll learn fire magic.
[00:46:43] And then they'll use their fire magic to forge their own weapons.
[00:46:47] You win.
[00:46:48] Well,
[00:46:49] except we're not using the fire because we have,
[00:46:51] they have,
[00:46:52] they've just,
[00:46:52] they've,
[00:46:53] they've apparently have a fondness for mole spiders now.
[00:46:56] Yeah.
[00:46:56] Fine.
[00:46:57] Fine.
[00:47:01] I'm,
[00:47:01] I'm with you,
[00:47:02] librarian.
[00:47:03] It's okay.
[00:47:04] We will teach them fire later.
[00:47:08] Okay.
[00:47:09] So that is going to be another plus one,
[00:47:11] regardless,
[00:47:12] I guess,
[00:47:12] of the fire or the,
[00:47:13] or the battle cleric.
[00:47:14] So that's actually,
[00:47:15] yeah.
[00:47:16] So they actually have,
[00:47:16] we now have a positives across the board for our army.
[00:47:20] So,
[00:47:20] I would like to petition for a shift this time.
[00:47:25] Okay.
[00:47:26] Numbers higher or something else?
[00:47:28] Well,
[00:47:29] because we've got so much numbers,
[00:47:31] numbers.
[00:47:31] Um,
[00:47:32] I feel like if we were to make them even bigger,
[00:47:38] Oh no.
[00:47:40] If we make them just a little bit bigger,
[00:47:43] that means that they're going to be a bit more brutal.
[00:47:47] Uh,
[00:47:48] problem with that also though,
[00:47:50] is,
[00:47:50] uh,
[00:47:50] won't that also bring our numbers back down to four?
[00:47:53] It'll put our numbers at back at four.
[00:47:55] Yeah.
[00:47:55] But we can't use numbers anymore.
[00:47:57] So we might as well.
[00:47:58] Yeah.
[00:47:59] So we're gonna have two customs this time around.
[00:48:01] Yeah.
[00:48:02] Mm.
[00:48:05] I mean,
[00:48:06] yeah,
[00:48:06] sure.
[00:48:07] Let's go.
[00:48:07] Let's make that.
[00:48:08] Let's,
[00:48:09] let's bump these up to like ogre size.
[00:48:11] Yeah.
[00:48:12] Those mole,
[00:48:13] those mole spiders are big.
[00:48:15] You gotta be big to ride them.
[00:48:16] Yeah.
[00:48:18] Oh my God.
[00:48:19] I'm now just picturing those giant spider creatures in like,
[00:48:22] I don't know if you guys ever watched the,
[00:48:23] the Aladdin cartoon for in the nineties,
[00:48:26] um,
[00:48:27] where those giant spiders that were under Agrabah.
[00:48:30] And like,
[00:48:31] everybody was terrified of them,
[00:48:32] but it turned out they were actually like an agricultural,
[00:48:34] uh,
[00:48:35] species that like harvested potatoes.
[00:48:39] I mean,
[00:48:39] that's what we're making here.
[00:48:41] That's our long-term,
[00:48:41] that's our long-term orcish goals.
[00:48:44] Yeah.
[00:48:45] We're,
[00:48:45] we're going to merge the orcs with the giant naked mole rats,
[00:48:48] spiders.
[00:48:51] Symbiotic relationship.
[00:48:52] I'm sort of like work is strider.
[00:48:55] Yeah.
[00:48:56] Oh no.
[00:48:57] Do you want Lulph?
[00:48:58] This is how we get Lulph.
[00:49:00] Maybe we're Lulph.
[00:49:02] Yeah.
[00:49:02] That's true.
[00:49:03] Yeah.
[00:49:04] I think that should be one of our,
[00:49:06] I feel like we are in fact Lulph.
[00:49:08] I think that,
[00:49:10] um,
[00:49:10] a day,
[00:49:11] like,
[00:49:12] uh,
[00:49:12] an annual holiday or,
[00:49:15] Oh yeah.
[00:49:15] Like time of festivities in the year for our orcs,
[00:49:20] uh,
[00:49:20] in celebration of their newfound brethren.
[00:49:24] Um,
[00:49:24] harvest day.
[00:49:25] Yeah.
[00:49:26] Yeah.
[00:49:27] Okay.
[00:49:28] So hear me out when we're talking about just a lovely harvest festival.
[00:49:33] Um,
[00:49:35] so they carve turnips.
[00:49:38] Oh no.
[00:49:39] To store the souls of those that they have taken.
[00:49:42] And they put scary faces on these turnips.
[00:49:45] I see.
[00:49:47] I see.
[00:49:47] Very festive.
[00:49:48] Yes.
[00:49:48] I can,
[00:49:49] I can care.
[00:49:50] Good idea.
[00:49:51] They call them Johnny lanterns.
[00:49:54] Yeah.
[00:49:55] I mean,
[00:49:55] what else?
[00:49:55] They're not existent necks.
[00:49:58] And what else?
[00:49:59] Like,
[00:50:00] they also have like all those,
[00:50:01] all those humor bones.
[00:50:02] So like,
[00:50:02] yeah,
[00:50:03] they've got these bones just lying around.
[00:50:04] So of course they do,
[00:50:06] you know,
[00:50:08] uh,
[00:50:09] a day of the bones.
[00:50:11] Yeah.
[00:50:11] They like set them out like wind chimes.
[00:50:14] It's real.
[00:50:14] Yes.
[00:50:14] For a good short minute.
[00:50:17] Oh,
[00:50:17] Hey,
[00:50:17] that's their new custom.
[00:50:19] Since they have to collect the bones anyway,
[00:50:21] they do scrimshaw.
[00:50:23] Oh my God.
[00:50:24] Yes.
[00:50:25] The orcs have developed scrimshaw.
[00:50:27] Uh,
[00:50:28] and so,
[00:50:28] so we're giving them that they have a holiday.
[00:50:31] They've developed a holiday.
[00:50:33] Wind chimes.
[00:50:34] Holiday.
[00:50:35] They've maybe learned how to make wind instruments out of them.
[00:50:38] Bone flutes.
[00:50:39] They have the bone bagpipes.
[00:50:41] Yeah.
[00:50:42] This would make sense with our,
[00:50:43] our slow creep into cleverness.
[00:50:47] Yeah.
[00:50:47] Yeah.
[00:50:48] Yeah.
[00:50:48] Yeah.
[00:50:49] At this point,
[00:50:49] we're probably going to want to replace the people of Lania with works.
[00:50:52] They seem like much.
[00:50:55] I mean,
[00:50:56] this is slow.
[00:50:56] It'll be,
[00:50:57] it'll be a progressive progress,
[00:50:58] uh,
[00:50:58] like process as like,
[00:50:59] they start breeding with the,
[00:51:01] uh,
[00:51:01] the Lannians.
[00:51:01] Oh yeah.
[00:51:03] Yeah.
[00:51:04] And,
[00:51:04] um,
[00:51:04] and not exactly as if we're reading ahead,
[00:51:06] but let,
[00:51:07] let's be fair.
[00:51:08] Um,
[00:51:09] there are a couple of chapters left to go.
[00:51:14] Um,
[00:51:15] just looking at the different chapters that we have left,
[00:51:19] uh,
[00:51:20] cause we're in chapter six.
[00:51:22] Six now.
[00:51:23] Yeah.
[00:51:23] So there's the harrowing of Starovia.
[00:51:26] Uh,
[00:51:26] there's the heartland campaign.
[00:51:28] And then there's chapter eight.
[00:51:30] Eight.
[00:51:32] Yeah.
[00:51:33] Yeah.
[00:51:34] No.
[00:51:34] Uh huh.
[00:51:34] How ominous.
[00:51:36] Yeah.
[00:51:37] We'll just call it chapter eight.
[00:51:39] Eight for now.
[00:51:40] Until we move on to that one.
[00:51:42] Yep.
[00:51:43] The sudden,
[00:51:44] but inevitable thing.
[00:51:46] Yep.
[00:51:47] All right.
[00:51:48] Um,
[00:51:48] so are we all good then with chapter five though?
[00:51:50] Like we,
[00:51:51] so I think,
[00:51:51] I think,
[00:51:52] uh,
[00:51:52] in our notes,
[00:51:53] we got everything we got.
[00:51:54] Orcs have developed harvest day as a holiday.
[00:51:57] Uh,
[00:51:58] they've developed scrimshaw.
[00:52:00] Uh,
[00:52:00] I think we've got all their numbers.
[00:52:02] Oh,
[00:52:02] I have to reduce,
[00:52:03] uh,
[00:52:03] their,
[00:52:04] their numbers by four to four.
[00:52:05] So,
[00:52:06] uh,
[00:52:07] Oh,
[00:52:07] and their brood,
[00:52:07] I guess went up or did there.
[00:52:10] Well,
[00:52:11] since we made them even bigger.
[00:52:12] Okay.
[00:52:13] Yeah.
[00:52:13] Yeah.
[00:52:14] Their brood went up.
[00:52:15] Their numbers went down.
[00:52:16] Okay.
[00:52:20] All right.
[00:52:21] Uh,
[00:52:21] and then what else did we,
[00:52:24] I guess that was it.
[00:52:25] Uh,
[00:52:25] we're,
[00:52:26] we'd,
[00:52:26] no one wants to add any more indoctrinations or anything like that or educations.
[00:52:31] Hmm.
[00:52:32] Well,
[00:52:33] I mean,
[00:52:33] we could,
[00:52:34] at this point we're looking at,
[00:52:37] let's see,
[00:52:37] what are our numbers?
[00:52:38] What are our scores at?
[00:52:40] Numbers four,
[00:52:41] loyalty to brute five,
[00:52:43] clever one.
[00:52:44] Um,
[00:52:44] I think you're looking pretty all right.
[00:52:46] Yeah.
[00:52:47] Yeah.
[00:52:47] Early,
[00:52:48] afraid of making them too clever,
[00:52:50] too fast.
[00:52:51] Yeah.
[00:52:52] Uh,
[00:52:52] well then you're going to,
[00:52:53] you're going to hate my proposal next time.
[00:52:58] All right.
[00:53:00] Uh,
[00:53:01] well then I suppose we'll move on to chapter six.
[00:53:05] Uh,
[00:53:05] I guess I'll read this one.
[00:53:07] Uh,
[00:53:07] actually real quick.
[00:53:08] Um,
[00:53:10] so I just put our strat of strat of gyms down.
[00:53:12] So we did numbers and clever in two,
[00:53:15] we did numbers and brute in three,
[00:53:17] we did numbers and loyalty in four.
[00:53:19] And what did we just do here in five?
[00:53:21] That is a good question.
[00:53:23] Like,
[00:53:23] um,
[00:53:26] it was six.
[00:53:28] So whatever it was,
[00:53:29] so it would have been.
[00:53:31] Numbers.
[00:53:32] Um,
[00:53:33] no,
[00:53:33] it wouldn't have been numbers.
[00:53:34] Cause we can't do numbers anymore.
[00:53:36] It was,
[00:53:36] uh,
[00:53:38] loyalty and brute.
[00:53:39] Uh,
[00:53:39] it was,
[00:53:40] it was,
[00:53:40] uh,
[00:53:40] brute loyalty because,
[00:53:42] um,
[00:53:42] because,
[00:53:42] uh,
[00:53:43] they were,
[00:53:43] uh,
[00:53:44] it stood to reason cause they were on,
[00:53:45] they were trying to like busy hold off,
[00:53:48] um,
[00:53:48] in a,
[00:53:49] in a time of strife.
[00:53:50] So,
[00:53:50] yeah.
[00:53:51] Yeah.
[00:53:54] Got to remember to write that down.
[00:53:55] Actually,
[00:53:55] that's a good,
[00:53:56] I'm going to add strategy.
[00:53:57] I'm already like,
[00:53:58] uh,
[00:53:59] in,
[00:53:59] uh,
[00:53:59] on for chapter six,
[00:54:00] just so we have that.
[00:54:05] Has that been David that's been doing the stratagem stuff?
[00:54:08] Yeah.
[00:54:08] Yeah.
[00:54:08] I've been adding the stratagem and then what we rolled for it because we can't put the same one twice.
[00:54:14] Yeah.
[00:54:15] That's,
[00:54:15] that's a good idea.
[00:54:16] Yeah.
[00:54:17] All right.
[00:54:19] So,
[00:54:20] on to chapter six,
[00:54:21] the harrowing of Sterovia.
[00:54:23] Small bands of orcs travel deep into Sterovite territory to disrupt supply lines, burn farms, and massacre settlements.
[00:54:32] Enough damage could forge,
[00:54:34] or,
[00:54:34] enough damage could force Sterovite troops to withdraw from Lania to protect their own homes.
[00:54:39] These daring raids are risky for the orcs sent on them,
[00:54:44] but the greatest price will be paid by the farmers they put to the sword.
[00:54:50] Pick any two scores to serve as a stratagem,
[00:54:53] but those scores cannot,
[00:54:54] cannot be used again together.
[00:54:57] Roll one.
[00:54:57] Eight or higher.
[00:54:59] Yeah.
[00:55:00] On an eight or higher.
[00:55:01] Jeez.
[00:55:01] Lania will be victorious.
[00:55:03] I'm cold.
[00:55:04] Okay.
[00:55:04] Wow.
[00:55:05] Last one was eight or higher too.
[00:55:07] Oh,
[00:55:07] was it?
[00:55:07] Okay.
[00:55:08] Yeah.
[00:55:08] So we did and loyalty.
[00:55:10] We've already done brute in numbers.
[00:55:13] So I feel like.
[00:55:14] Brute and clever.
[00:55:15] Brute and clever.
[00:55:16] And hope we get two or more.
[00:55:21] Doable.
[00:55:22] It's doable.
[00:55:23] I guess I'm rolling for that one.
[00:55:25] Uh,
[00:55:25] all right.
[00:55:26] Uh,
[00:55:27] come on in the spirit of Orcus.
[00:55:29] Yeah.
[00:55:30] Fuck these other farmers.
[00:55:32] They're not our farmers.
[00:55:36] Six.
[00:55:37] So that's a six there total.
[00:55:38] Okay.
[00:55:39] Yeah.
[00:55:40] So Wendy,
[00:55:40] six plus six and see if this works.
[00:55:42] Oh,
[00:55:43] it didn't work.
[00:55:43] God damn it.
[00:55:45] Why is this?
[00:55:48] I've got a physical die right here.
[00:55:50] Yeah.
[00:55:53] Yeah.
[00:55:54] Roll that one.
[00:55:55] Uh,
[00:55:56] so I rolled a three.
[00:55:59] I'll do it.
[00:56:00] Yep.
[00:56:00] Nine.
[00:56:01] All right.
[00:56:02] Uh,
[00:56:03] let's see here.
[00:56:03] Where's the victory thing here?
[00:56:05] Uh,
[00:56:06] victory.
[00:56:07] The Sterivites have to withdraw a third of their regiment to protect their own lands.
[00:56:12] They spend months chasing the Orcs,
[00:56:15] the Orc Raiders,
[00:56:16] but catch few.
[00:56:17] Food riots break out in Sterivite territories as they face hunger at home.
[00:56:21] And on the front,
[00:56:23] pick three warps.
[00:56:27] All right.
[00:56:29] So not to be the min maxer here,
[00:56:32] but the two stats that we really can't use more of.
[00:56:35] Yeah.
[00:56:36] Our numbers and brute.
[00:56:39] Yep.
[00:56:39] So I think we should stay away from advances that give us numbers or brute.
[00:56:46] Yeah.
[00:56:46] I feel like most of these are loyalty and clever.
[00:56:48] So,
[00:56:49] yeah.
[00:56:50] Well,
[00:56:51] I do like the,
[00:56:51] uh,
[00:56:52] Orcs adopting a rigid code of,
[00:56:54] of martial honor and hierarchy.
[00:56:56] That's good.
[00:56:57] I agree.
[00:56:58] Give us that.
[00:56:59] Yeah.
[00:57:00] Make them the noble.
[00:57:01] Anyway.
[00:57:02] Yeah.
[00:57:02] We got battle clerics and now we,
[00:57:04] and give them a,
[00:57:05] give them a,
[00:57:06] uh,
[00:57:06] a holy night order or something.
[00:57:09] That's right.
[00:57:09] Yeah.
[00:57:10] Paladins.
[00:57:10] Yeah.
[00:57:11] Paladins of Orcs.
[00:57:14] Um,
[00:57:15] Paladins of the council.
[00:57:16] Thank you.
[00:57:16] Oh yeah.
[00:57:17] Yeah.
[00:57:17] I do rather like,
[00:57:18] you know,
[00:57:19] two and four.
[00:57:20] Um,
[00:57:21] all Orcs possess a deep cruelty plus one clever.
[00:57:24] Hmm.
[00:57:26] And Orcs begin to experience,
[00:57:28] experiment with disturbing and forbidden magic.
[00:57:31] I can't see anything wrong with that.
[00:57:33] There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
[00:57:35] You know,
[00:57:36] it's fire with flame.
[00:57:37] Let them play with magic.
[00:57:38] Look,
[00:57:39] they,
[00:57:39] they just call it dangerous,
[00:57:41] disturbing,
[00:57:42] forbidden magic because nobody's ever done it before on mass.
[00:57:45] Right.
[00:57:47] Right.
[00:57:47] Like,
[00:57:48] listen,
[00:57:48] I,
[00:57:49] frankly,
[00:57:49] I was surprised that they managed to take,
[00:57:51] uh,
[00:57:52] the uneaten part of their corpses and construct them into flesh golems to fight with them.
[00:57:58] Oh my God.
[00:57:59] Really useful siege engines.
[00:58:00] Yeah.
[00:58:01] These huge,
[00:58:02] you know,
[00:58:03] monstrous conglomerations of like livers and intestines punching down walls.
[00:58:09] It's all good.
[00:58:10] I mean,
[00:58:11] clearly they're learning from the best.
[00:58:12] I mean,
[00:58:12] look what,
[00:58:13] yeah,
[00:58:13] they really are.
[00:58:13] Look what we did from,
[00:58:15] from Spice Paprika,
[00:58:16] Belladonna,
[00:58:17] and,
[00:58:17] and,
[00:58:19] oopsing,
[00:58:19] orcas spirit into,
[00:58:21] into the formula.
[00:58:22] See,
[00:58:23] imagine what we could have done if they had actually taken some of my proper necromancy instead of just,
[00:58:30] you know,
[00:58:31] Tatterdemalion in it.
[00:58:33] Hey,
[00:58:34] at the same time though,
[00:58:35] you have to,
[00:58:35] uh,
[00:58:36] you have to be proud like a father on like that.
[00:58:38] They're,
[00:58:38] they're learning on their own your craft,
[00:58:40] right?
[00:58:41] Oh,
[00:58:41] absolutely.
[00:58:42] I mean,
[00:58:43] I was wondering why they screamed.
[00:58:44] I learned it from watching you,
[00:58:46] I learned it from watching you,
[00:58:47] It brings a tear to my eyes and I don't just mean the ones I keep over there in the jar marked excess eyes.
[00:58:53] I mean,
[00:58:53] all of them.
[00:58:55] It brought a tear to that glass eye too.
[00:59:01] Our babies are growing up.
[00:59:05] Oh man.
[00:59:06] Yeah.
[00:59:06] And then like,
[00:59:07] I mean,
[00:59:08] and adding a,
[00:59:08] having,
[00:59:09] possessing a deep cruelty just helps with the war effort.
[00:59:12] So,
[00:59:12] yeah,
[00:59:13] that's right.
[00:59:13] Look,
[00:59:13] we were told to make soldiers.
[00:59:16] And so we made soldiers.
[00:59:19] We have made the perfect soldiers.
[00:59:21] It looks amazing what we can do in an afternoon.
[00:59:24] Yeah.
[00:59:26] You can't have,
[00:59:27] you can't have a war without a couple atrocities.
[00:59:30] And if you're going to have a couple atrocities,
[00:59:31] you might as well make them efficient atrocities.
[00:59:33] That's right.
[00:59:34] And as the old saying goes,
[00:59:36] it's not a war crime the first time.
[00:59:38] Exactly.
[00:59:39] Yeah.
[00:59:39] And as long as they're creative enough,
[00:59:41] each time they do it,
[00:59:43] it still won't be a war crime.
[00:59:44] Oh,
[00:59:45] God.
[00:59:47] We'll just keep giving them extra oomph.
[00:59:54] All right.
[00:59:55] So I believe,
[00:59:56] I think we're all in accordance with the number.
[00:59:58] Two,
[00:59:58] three and four.
[00:59:59] Yeah.
[00:59:59] Two,
[00:59:59] three and four.
[01:00:00] Yep.
[01:00:01] All right.
[01:00:01] Deep cruelty,
[01:00:02] rigid martial code of honor and hierarchy.
[01:00:04] And we gave him forbidden magic because why not?
[01:00:07] Because lol.
[01:00:10] YOLO.
[01:00:11] Hey,
[01:00:12] they can't turn,
[01:00:12] they're not going to turn it on us.
[01:00:14] We're in,
[01:00:15] we're,
[01:00:15] we're,
[01:00:15] we're,
[01:00:16] uh,
[01:00:16] inviolate.
[01:00:17] Yeah.
[01:00:17] We wrote it right into their beliefs.
[01:00:20] Uh,
[01:00:20] so plus two to clever and then plus one,
[01:00:23] two.
[01:00:23] Wow.
[01:00:23] So like,
[01:00:24] like clever is really like rising up.
[01:00:26] Oh,
[01:00:27] and so actually it's an even split between loyalty and clever now.
[01:00:31] So,
[01:00:34] this must be what the quarians felt like in the ancient texts when they created the geth.
[01:00:43] I wonder if they felt like proud papas too.
[01:00:47] Uh,
[01:00:47] so orcs,
[01:00:48] uh,
[01:00:48] I've been experimenting.
[01:00:49] Yeah.
[01:00:49] So I guess,
[01:00:49] uh,
[01:00:49] so all,
[01:00:50] uh,
[01:00:50] the,
[01:00:50] the forbidden magic is,
[01:00:52] uh,
[01:00:52] corpse golems.
[01:00:54] Yes.
[01:00:55] Corpse golems.
[01:00:57] Fleshcraft.
[01:00:59] Yes.
[01:00:59] Yeah.
[01:00:59] We fleshcraft.
[01:01:00] That's,
[01:01:01] it's like arts and crafts,
[01:01:04] martial arts and crafts.
[01:01:08] Also corpse golem was the,
[01:01:10] uh,
[01:01:10] the name of my,
[01:01:11] uh,
[01:01:11] high school metal band.
[01:01:13] We were a,
[01:01:14] uh,
[01:01:14] corpse grinder.
[01:01:15] yeah.
[01:01:16] Cover band,
[01:01:17] cover band.
[01:01:18] Yep.
[01:01:19] Um,
[01:01:21] and,
[01:01:22] Hey,
[01:01:22] did we make the orcs larger than the last shift or no?
[01:01:25] We didn't do any shifts last time.
[01:01:26] Okay.
[01:01:26] Well,
[01:01:26] we did,
[01:01:27] uh,
[01:01:27] make them bigger in the last one.
[01:01:29] Yeah.
[01:01:29] Well,
[01:01:30] we've,
[01:01:30] we've boosted twice.
[01:01:32] Have we?
[01:01:32] So,
[01:01:33] okay.
[01:01:33] So they're now,
[01:01:34] they're now giants,
[01:01:35] right?
[01:01:35] They're ogre size now.
[01:01:37] Yeah.
[01:01:38] They're about the size of grizzly bears.
[01:01:40] Okay.
[01:01:40] Yeah.
[01:01:41] Cause like larger than the average landing and then like size,
[01:01:43] the next size category up is grizzly bear size.
[01:01:48] And then,
[01:01:48] uh,
[01:01:49] they're riding around on giant naked mole spiders.
[01:01:52] That's not terrifying at all.
[01:01:54] No funny bonds.
[01:01:57] Oh my God.
[01:01:58] All right.
[01:01:58] So ripping out the funny bones of the things that they fight.
[01:02:01] Yeah.
[01:02:02] All right.
[01:02:02] So either as they fight them or right after.
[01:02:06] Yeah.
[01:02:08] Okay.
[01:02:08] So deep cruelty,
[01:02:09] uh,
[01:02:09] what I guess.
[01:02:10] Yeah.
[01:02:11] Rigid code of martial honor,
[01:02:12] martial honor and hierarchy.
[01:02:14] Yep.
[01:02:14] So a cruel,
[01:02:15] but rigid code of martial honor.
[01:02:17] They're lawful evil.
[01:02:18] Yeah.
[01:02:19] All right.
[01:02:20] Um,
[01:02:21] so I guess move on to the shifts for this one.
[01:02:24] Uh,
[01:02:25] so the council may do all of the,
[01:02:28] I guess we got those.
[01:02:29] So we have a,
[01:02:30] uh,
[01:02:30] make our,
[01:02:31] do we want them larger?
[01:02:34] Or it's not going to bite us in the ass if they're any bigger or any smaller at this
[01:02:38] point,
[01:02:39] because.
[01:02:40] Do you really want them?
[01:02:42] Yes.
[01:02:43] All right.
[01:02:44] Yeah.
[01:02:44] I just have to point this out.
[01:02:46] Cause I,
[01:02:47] I wouldn't be me if I didn't.
[01:02:49] Oh yeah.
[01:02:49] Yeah.
[01:02:49] Um,
[01:02:51] so in our chapters that we've used so far,
[01:02:54] uh,
[01:02:55] we used numbers and clever numbers and brute numbers and loyalty.
[01:02:59] Yeah.
[01:03:00] Then we've used brute and loyalty,
[01:03:01] brute and clever.
[01:03:03] What we have not used yet that involves brute is numbers.
[01:03:09] Well,
[01:03:10] no,
[01:03:10] we've used brute numbers.
[01:03:12] No.
[01:03:12] So at this point,
[01:03:13] loyalty and clever,
[01:03:14] loyalty and clever are the only two stats that we can put together.
[01:03:18] Yeah.
[01:03:20] So we've only got one fight left and it's going to be those two stats.
[01:03:25] Yeah.
[01:03:26] So,
[01:03:26] so we probably shouldn't screw with those.
[01:03:28] Cause that's,
[01:03:29] it's going to be basically being like,
[01:03:31] Oh,
[01:03:32] it's actually going to be like a no,
[01:03:34] like no loss,
[01:03:34] no gain kind of thing.
[01:03:35] Cause yeah.
[01:03:36] Yeah.
[01:03:37] Regardless thing is that the shifts that we've got are,
[01:03:41] uh,
[01:03:42] loyalty to clever,
[01:03:42] clever loyalty,
[01:03:44] brute to numbers or numbers to brute.
[01:03:46] So,
[01:03:47] although now I'm just picturing,
[01:03:48] it's like,
[01:03:48] wait,
[01:03:49] so they're out the size of grizzlies and they can,
[01:03:50] uh,
[01:03:51] they can breed with,
[01:03:52] with Lanyans.
[01:03:53] Uh,
[01:03:55] do we want to size them down just a little bit?
[01:03:59] Let's have muscle mommies and daddies versus like death by snooze,
[01:04:03] maybe.
[01:04:03] Yeah.
[01:04:05] Let's,
[01:04:06] let's,
[01:04:06] let's,
[01:04:06] let's do a snooze new level yet.
[01:04:10] Do we really want to make them impossibly big?
[01:04:14] Because we can't.
[01:04:15] Why don't we shame our,
[01:04:16] our citizens?
[01:04:20] By mandate of the crown,
[01:04:22] you must die it.
[01:04:26] No,
[01:04:27] mandate of the council.
[01:04:28] Yes.
[01:04:29] Yes.
[01:04:30] I think we've got to start indoctrinating these works though.
[01:04:33] Seriously.
[01:04:36] You're starting to get smart without a hand.
[01:04:40] I don't,
[01:04:41] I don't see what could possibly go wrong with like,
[01:04:43] with,
[01:04:43] uh,
[01:04:44] with our artificial intelligence,
[01:04:45] our artificial intelligence,
[01:04:47] uh,
[01:04:48] getting smarter.
[01:04:49] No.
[01:04:50] Indoctrination.
[01:04:52] I'm holding out hard for it.
[01:04:54] All right.
[01:04:56] Uh,
[01:04:57] I am actually of the opinion that we should maybe,
[01:04:59] uh,
[01:05:00] like bring them down a notch,
[01:05:01] uh,
[01:05:01] on size.
[01:05:02] Bring them down a notch on size and indoctrinate.
[01:05:05] I feel like if we do both of those shifts,
[01:05:08] we make everybody a little bit happier.
[01:05:10] Like we can't have the orcs be too big because if the orcs get too big,
[01:05:15] so do the naked mole spiders.
[01:05:18] Yeah.
[01:05:18] They seem,
[01:05:19] they seem to be like acclimating to each other.
[01:05:20] It's,
[01:05:21] it's in a symbiotic relationship.
[01:05:22] It's,
[01:05:23] it is rather fascinating,
[01:05:25] but also worrying.
[01:05:26] Yeah.
[01:05:27] If they get too big,
[01:05:28] that's,
[01:05:28] that's a problem for future generations.
[01:05:31] Yes.
[01:05:32] And I mean,
[01:05:33] I'm going to be around forever.
[01:05:35] Oh,
[01:05:36] yes.
[01:05:36] I mean,
[01:05:37] as will I,
[01:05:38] as will my,
[01:05:39] uh,
[01:05:40] other,
[01:05:41] you know,
[01:05:42] companion.
[01:05:42] I don't know how long witches live or librarians,
[01:05:49] but I know that we hierophants are going to stick around for a while.
[01:05:54] Oh,
[01:05:54] they never last.
[01:05:55] We tire.
[01:05:56] Yeah.
[01:05:57] Well,
[01:05:57] you know,
[01:05:57] we,
[01:05:57] yeah,
[01:05:58] we are,
[01:05:58] oh,
[01:05:58] no,
[01:05:58] don't worry.
[01:05:59] Even if you do a pass of a natural cause,
[01:06:01] uh,
[01:06:02] we've got you covered.
[01:06:04] We got an app for that.
[01:06:05] Us,
[01:06:05] us council members have to stick together.
[01:06:08] Don't worry.
[01:06:09] Brothers and sisters.
[01:06:10] Yeah.
[01:06:11] They died,
[01:06:11] but I can fix them.
[01:06:12] Absolutely.
[01:06:13] And look,
[01:06:14] what is a necromancer if not a healer who got there a few minutes too late?
[01:06:18] I mean,
[01:06:19] I didn't get my medical license revoked for this.
[01:06:24] Okay.
[01:06:25] So we're downsizing.
[01:06:27] Yeah.
[01:06:27] They're downsizing.
[01:06:27] They're clever,
[01:06:28] uh,
[01:06:29] or,
[01:06:29] uh,
[01:06:29] and,
[01:06:30] and boosting up their loyalty.
[01:06:31] Which is the belief that we are going to put on there.
[01:06:34] Also,
[01:06:35] we're getting another custom because loyalty is going up to four.
[01:06:38] Okay.
[01:06:39] Um,
[01:06:40] so let's let,
[01:06:42] I feel like a belief that we should give them is that all food must be killed before it is eaten.
[01:06:53] Yeah,
[01:06:54] that seems reasonable.
[01:06:57] I saw him eat a,
[01:06:59] uh,
[01:07:00] eat a man the other day and it was,
[01:07:02] fascinating.
[01:07:03] So,
[01:07:03] so we did,
[01:07:04] uh,
[01:07:04] we did decide on indoctrination.
[01:07:07] Yeah.
[01:07:07] I think,
[01:07:07] yeah,
[01:07:08] we were,
[01:07:08] we were,
[01:07:08] I think we,
[01:07:09] we have two,
[01:07:09] we can do as many shifts as we want.
[01:07:10] Right.
[01:07:10] So we did like,
[01:07:11] yeah,
[01:07:11] we can do each shift,
[01:07:13] um,
[01:07:14] anyone time.
[01:07:15] Okay.
[01:07:15] Any or all,
[01:07:16] but we can only do each shift once.
[01:07:17] Yeah.
[01:07:17] So I've,
[01:07:18] I've put in the numbers is now five,
[01:07:20] uh,
[01:07:21] because we've,
[01:07:21] we've made them smaller.
[01:07:22] So they're,
[01:07:23] they're have numbers,
[01:07:24] uh,
[01:07:25] their loyalty is four.
[01:07:26] So we have a custom,
[01:07:27] uh,
[01:07:27] their brood has been brought down to four because of the size situation.
[01:07:31] So we got another cut.
[01:07:33] We got two customs and then they're clever has been decreased to two because of the loyalty.
[01:07:39] So,
[01:07:39] so we get to add one belief,
[01:07:42] which is all food must be killed before eaten.
[01:07:44] And then we've got to give them a custom offering.
[01:07:50] Uh,
[01:07:51] they have a,
[01:07:52] you know what?
[01:07:53] Here's the custom,
[01:07:55] uh,
[01:07:55] for their Holy day ceremonies.
[01:07:57] Um,
[01:07:58] they offer us tribute.
[01:08:00] Yes.
[01:08:02] It's bone collection time.
[01:08:05] Bone time.
[01:08:06] They didn't learn Scrimshaw for nothing.
[01:08:09] They didn't learn Scrimshaw for nothing.
[01:08:12] Look,
[01:08:13] they're giving us these very lovely crafted things.
[01:08:17] Like,
[01:08:17] look at this,
[01:08:18] this,
[01:08:19] this doll that the,
[01:08:20] the child gave me.
[01:08:21] It's,
[01:08:23] it's,
[01:08:23] it's carved entirely out of bone.
[01:08:25] And,
[01:08:26] look at that scream in the face.
[01:08:28] Like it captured the moment of death really,
[01:08:31] really well.
[01:08:32] Yeah.
[01:08:32] And then there was what was carved on the bone there.
[01:08:36] And if you blow through it,
[01:08:37] it,
[01:08:38] it,
[01:08:38] it has that,
[01:08:38] the screamy death whistle sound.
[01:08:42] That's pleasant.
[01:08:43] Yes.
[01:08:45] Ah,
[01:08:45] the music of our people.
[01:08:47] Yeah.
[01:08:48] It speaks to the soul and to that of Orcus.
[01:08:50] They're learning.
[01:08:52] They're learning.
[01:08:53] They're learning.
[01:08:54] Oh,
[01:08:57] which,
[01:08:57] oh,
[01:08:58] is actually the sound of some of the,
[01:08:59] some of the chimes make.
[01:09:02] Uh,
[01:09:03] uh,
[01:09:04] that's also the noise I would make if I saw a big ass orc and a big ass mole coming at me.
[01:09:09] Yeah.
[01:09:11] Orc playing a set of bagpipes.
[01:09:13] All right.
[01:09:14] Uh,
[01:09:14] what is the second custom we get for this?
[01:09:17] Uh,
[01:09:17] what are we thinking?
[01:09:18] Uh,
[01:09:19] dead before eating.
[01:09:20] Oh,
[01:09:20] no,
[01:09:20] no,
[01:09:21] no.
[01:09:21] We had the,
[01:09:21] so we have,
[01:09:22] oh,
[01:09:22] that was the bull.
[01:09:22] And then we have,
[01:09:23] because we have four,
[01:09:24] we have two fours in the,
[01:09:25] in the strategies.
[01:09:26] We need,
[01:09:27] uh,
[01:09:27] we have two customs.
[01:09:28] So,
[01:09:29] um,
[01:09:29] I say,
[01:09:30] um,
[01:09:31] that,
[01:09:32] uh,
[01:09:33] they are adding variety to their,
[01:09:35] uh,
[01:09:35] their,
[01:09:35] uh,
[01:09:36] their,
[01:09:36] their spider.
[01:09:37] Uh,
[01:09:37] they are actually doing something,
[01:09:39] uh,
[01:09:39] some,
[01:09:39] some domestication of their,
[01:09:41] uh,
[01:09:41] their mole spiders.
[01:09:43] Yeah.
[01:09:44] We're getting,
[01:09:44] we're getting,
[01:09:44] we're getting different breeds.
[01:09:47] We got the,
[01:09:48] we get the cave ones.
[01:09:50] We got the mountain ones.
[01:09:52] We get the little lap,
[01:09:54] lap mole spiders.
[01:09:55] Well,
[01:09:56] and we,
[01:09:56] we just gained territory.
[01:09:58] Because in the last chapter,
[01:09:59] we took territory for the first time.
[01:10:02] Yeah.
[01:10:02] We actually have been,
[01:10:03] actually,
[01:10:03] yeah,
[01:10:03] we've been,
[01:10:03] uh,
[01:10:04] pushing back.
[01:10:05] Yeah.
[01:10:07] So we have to embrace capitalism.
[01:10:10] Oh,
[01:10:10] no,
[01:10:12] no,
[01:10:14] no,
[01:10:14] no,
[01:10:15] we're evil.
[01:10:15] We're not that evil.
[01:10:17] All right.
[01:10:18] Okay.
[01:10:19] Let them learn from our mistakes.
[01:10:21] Yeah.
[01:10:21] Yeah.
[01:10:22] You don't need to do that.
[01:10:23] You have an overrule.
[01:10:25] Um,
[01:10:27] how,
[01:10:28] yeah.
[01:10:28] So are we,
[01:10:28] are we down for like,
[01:10:29] uh,
[01:10:29] the domestication and,
[01:10:31] and very,
[01:10:31] um,
[01:10:31] and variation of the mole spiders?
[01:10:33] Yeah.
[01:10:34] Domestication and variation of mole spiders.
[01:10:37] I still think capitalism would be great,
[01:10:39] but.
[01:10:41] Variation.
[01:10:42] So now we also,
[01:10:43] and like,
[01:10:44] not all of them are like cutesy,
[01:10:45] like animal,
[01:10:46] like pet animal,
[01:10:47] like a breeds.
[01:10:48] Like some of them are like,
[01:10:49] now some of them,
[01:10:49] uh,
[01:10:50] have acid silk spit.
[01:10:52] Yeah.
[01:10:54] Industrial use.
[01:10:56] Industrial use babes.
[01:10:58] Yeah.
[01:10:59] Oh my God.
[01:11:00] The one specifically read to be a front hold or like a,
[01:11:03] uh,
[01:11:04] uh,
[01:11:04] for large construction.
[01:11:06] Yeah.
[01:11:07] And then we also have like the siege spiders.
[01:11:09] Yeah.
[01:11:10] Oh yeah.
[01:11:11] We can't not have spider tanks.
[01:11:14] Spider tank,
[01:11:15] spider tank.
[01:11:17] Oh,
[01:11:17] and don't even get me started on the,
[01:11:18] on the,
[01:11:18] on the spider pigs.
[01:11:21] Can he swing from a whip?
[01:11:23] No,
[01:11:23] we can't.
[01:11:24] Cause he's just a pig.
[01:11:27] All right.
[01:11:28] Um,
[01:11:29] who's doing chapter six?
[01:11:31] Oh,
[01:11:31] chapter seven.
[01:11:32] We're,
[01:11:32] we're doing chapter seven.
[01:11:33] Chapter seven.
[01:11:34] You're right.
[01:11:34] You're right.
[01:11:35] Yeah.
[01:11:35] Well,
[01:11:36] that would be,
[01:11:36] uh,
[01:11:38] so the orcs have bought enough time for the common Lanyan to learn violence.
[01:11:42] Oh,
[01:11:43] isn't that adorable?
[01:11:44] They're learning.
[01:11:45] We're all learning together.
[01:11:48] Holstered by Lanyan conscripts.
[01:11:50] The orcs have a chance to overwhelm the styrofites with a massive,
[01:11:54] well-coordinated attack.
[01:11:57] Uh,
[01:11:57] if it convinces the styrofite commanders that Lanyan has the spirit to fight on
[01:12:01] forever,
[01:12:02] they may cut their losses and end the invasion.
[01:12:05] So pick any two scores to serve as a stratagem.
[01:12:08] We know what those are going to be.
[01:12:10] Wow.
[01:12:10] Actually,
[01:12:11] yeah,
[01:12:11] this is,
[01:12:11] this is actually really like appropriate loyalty and clever for this one.
[01:12:15] Loyalty and clever.
[01:12:17] Um,
[01:12:18] roll one D six plus that stratagem.
[01:12:20] Uh,
[01:12:21] and so on a total of eight or higher,
[01:12:23] Lanyan is victorious.
[01:12:25] All right.
[01:12:26] Hey guys,
[01:12:27] guess what?
[01:12:28] I rolled a six.
[01:12:31] No,
[01:12:31] I didn't roll a six.
[01:12:33] I rolled a five.
[01:12:35] Oh,
[01:12:35] okay.
[01:12:37] Bitch.
[01:12:39] Yeah.
[01:12:39] Is a total,
[01:12:41] uh,
[01:12:42] 11,
[01:12:43] 11,
[01:12:44] 11.
[01:12:44] Cool.
[01:12:45] So on a victory.
[01:12:47] Monstrous.
[01:12:49] Monstrous.
[01:12:50] Yeah.
[01:12:51] Elite styrofite warriors desert on mass.
[01:12:54] Their leaders swear an oath of surrender in exchange for being allowed to flee from Lania alive.
[01:13:01] Well,
[01:13:02] the styrofite's gone.
[01:13:03] Some Lanyans wish to be rid of the orcs as well.
[01:13:06] No,
[01:13:06] what?
[01:13:08] But those were our babies.
[01:13:10] Dissension.
[01:13:11] So we get to pick three warps.
[01:13:14] All right.
[01:13:15] Now I would like to point out,
[01:13:17] this is not the great,
[01:13:18] this is not,
[01:13:19] this is,
[01:13:19] this is going all wrong.
[01:13:20] We've got,
[01:13:21] but we helped.
[01:13:23] We're getting pressured by the crossables here.
[01:13:25] Yeah.
[01:13:25] We're getting pressured by the people and the crown.
[01:13:27] God damn it.
[01:13:29] Orcs,
[01:13:29] damn it.
[01:13:32] So.
[01:13:34] I do have to point out that there's one of them that immediately said,
[01:13:38] stands out to me.
[01:13:40] Orcs are set to work building terrifying war machines in preparation for future conflicts.
[01:13:45] I mean,
[01:13:46] that's just smart.
[01:13:47] I just have to point out the styrofites thought that they could just walk in and walk all over us.
[01:13:53] And that's why we needed orcs in the first place.
[01:13:56] Yeah.
[01:13:56] So if,
[01:13:57] if we do away with the orcs,
[01:14:00] then what happens when the people from the land over there,
[01:14:03] what happens when the Narnians come in?
[01:14:06] Yeah.
[01:14:07] We got all these spiders.
[01:14:08] We should use them.
[01:14:10] We should.
[01:14:11] I mean,
[01:14:11] we've got all this styrofite territory that we've,
[01:14:13] we've,
[01:14:14] we've kind of usurped from the,
[01:14:16] from our,
[01:14:16] from our invaders.
[01:14:18] There's like,
[01:14:19] we could just like grant them that land.
[01:14:21] It's all depopulated now because of the war.
[01:14:23] And like,
[01:14:23] honestly,
[01:14:23] it's,
[01:14:24] it's kind of blighted because of all their mustard gas that's been leaking off of them.
[01:14:27] Yeah.
[01:14:28] So like,
[01:14:29] why not just like have them live there or like give them,
[01:14:32] give them land.
[01:14:33] Yeah.
[01:14:34] And I feel like the,
[01:14:38] I,
[01:14:38] I don't want my babies cursed.
[01:14:41] No.
[01:14:41] One and two off the table.
[01:14:43] Can we agree on that?
[01:14:44] Oh,
[01:14:44] I agree.
[01:14:45] Yeah.
[01:14:45] I,
[01:14:45] I,
[01:14:46] I feel like we'd be doing a disservice and like,
[01:14:48] again,
[01:14:49] I've heard from ancient scripture,
[01:14:50] like things go poorly when you create something and then like do something like,
[01:14:56] like kind of like you,
[01:14:58] you're,
[01:14:58] you're toxic for existing.
[01:15:00] You punish it for existing.
[01:15:01] Yeah.
[01:15:01] Like bad things seem that tend to happen to those ancient lost civilizations.
[01:15:05] Yeah.
[01:15:06] So there's no curse of vulnerability to silver steel,
[01:15:09] no curse of weakness of to the light of the sun.
[01:15:12] Um,
[01:15:13] I mean,
[01:15:13] we have to take three and we're giving them clever in numbers.
[01:15:19] Yeah.
[01:15:20] But I feel like it's either new laws are made to control the orcs.
[01:15:24] Lanyans are appointed to enforce the laws on orcs exclusively.
[01:15:28] So they're going to be a little bit less loyal to us.
[01:15:31] Or we can.
[01:15:32] Yeah.
[01:15:34] Yeah.
[01:15:34] Or we can have the orcs are forbidden to hold roles of leadership or titles of nobility.
[01:15:39] And I'm on board with that.
[01:15:41] Yeah.
[01:15:42] I would rather them not be allowed to be nobles because really that means that our orcs don't have to go to the foppish balls.
[01:15:50] Yeah.
[01:15:51] And it was true.
[01:15:52] Yeah.
[01:15:52] Like let us take care of that stuff.
[01:15:55] Yeah.
[01:15:55] Yeah.
[01:15:57] Besides you're really going to embarrass yourselves with your table manners,
[01:16:03] you know,
[01:16:04] eating raw flesh and all that.
[01:16:05] That's not going to go over too well.
[01:16:06] Also,
[01:16:07] at least they kill it first.
[01:16:10] Also,
[01:16:11] an enclosed room with their mustard gas spores.
[01:16:14] I mean,
[01:16:14] that's just not going to be a good time for anybody.
[01:16:16] Not good for anybody.
[01:16:17] I mean,
[01:16:18] not for those people that are alive.
[01:16:19] I mean.
[01:16:20] Yeah.
[01:16:20] And then it's just become a smorgasbord for the orcs.
[01:16:24] Every party's a dinner party to the orcs.
[01:16:27] Yeah.
[01:16:29] Yeah.
[01:16:29] I think that might be the safest route is build more terrifying war machines.
[01:16:37] Grant them land.
[01:16:39] And just,
[01:16:40] you know,
[01:16:40] they're not allowed to have roles of leadership or titles.
[01:16:43] Let them do their own thing.
[01:16:44] Yeah.
[01:16:45] Yeah.
[01:16:45] Yeah.
[01:16:48] And we'll,
[01:16:49] yeah.
[01:16:51] And they can make some more machines.
[01:16:53] yeah.
[01:16:55] Yeah.
[01:16:56] So,
[01:16:57] nothing,
[01:16:57] nothing out of clever.
[01:16:59] And in fact,
[01:17:00] they only increased in number.
[01:17:03] So,
[01:17:04] we are currently,
[01:17:05] oh yeah.
[01:17:05] They're filling those lands in pretty well.
[01:17:07] Yeah.
[01:17:08] Also,
[01:17:09] I'm just realizing,
[01:17:09] yeah,
[01:17:10] they are now at max numbers.
[01:17:12] I think.
[01:17:14] Oh,
[01:17:14] are they?
[01:17:14] As was the way,
[01:17:15] as of chapter seven,
[01:17:16] I think,
[01:17:16] I think the max is six on any of the strategies.
[01:17:20] Oh no,
[01:17:20] the max is technically eight.
[01:17:22] Yeah.
[01:17:22] Oh,
[01:17:22] is it?
[01:17:22] Okay.
[01:17:23] Yeah.
[01:17:23] Cause it said if you hit a four or an eight,
[01:17:24] you get them custom.
[01:17:25] Oh,
[01:17:26] oh yeah,
[01:17:26] that's true.
[01:17:26] Yeah.
[01:17:27] Yeah.
[01:17:27] So,
[01:17:30] I feel like,
[01:17:32] um,
[01:17:32] we do have the option of a shift.
[01:17:37] And,
[01:17:38] um,
[01:17:43] so we have,
[01:17:44] so in this one,
[01:17:45] we used the stratagems of loyal,
[01:17:47] uh,
[01:17:48] what do we use?
[01:17:49] Uh,
[01:17:49] loyalty and clever.
[01:17:50] Loyalty and clever.
[01:17:51] So the last chapter is going to work a little bit different because of the fact of what the last chapter is.
[01:18:02] Um,
[01:18:03] and to that,
[01:18:05] um,
[01:18:06] to that end,
[01:18:07] uh,
[01:18:08] what I would like to suggest is that we size our orcs down so that they are the same size as the average Lannion.
[01:18:17] That's going to give them minus one brood plus one numbers.
[01:18:21] I suppose that's,
[01:18:22] that,
[01:18:22] that would work.
[01:18:24] Um,
[01:18:26] they,
[01:18:26] they've,
[01:18:26] they've done their,
[01:18:27] they're domesticating.
[01:18:28] Yeah.
[01:18:29] Yeah.
[01:18:29] We're,
[01:18:29] we're,
[01:18:30] we're entering a time of,
[01:18:31] of not,
[01:18:31] maybe not relative peace,
[01:18:32] but a time where like the warring is not innovation.
[01:18:36] Yes.
[01:18:37] Yes.
[01:18:38] A time of innovation.
[01:18:40] Shifting of gears.
[01:18:41] We could also indoctrinate them and say Lannions are friend,
[01:18:44] not food.
[01:18:45] Yes,
[01:18:46] that is true.
[01:18:47] We could,
[01:18:47] we could also educate them with Lannions are friend,
[01:18:51] not food.
[01:18:52] We could,
[01:18:54] but I'm,
[01:18:55] uh,
[01:18:56] I kind of want to say no,
[01:18:59] no,
[01:19:01] he's no,
[01:19:02] we built this.
[01:19:03] Uh,
[01:19:04] hang on.
[01:19:05] So,
[01:19:05] yes,
[01:19:05] we have,
[01:19:06] uh,
[01:19:07] uh,
[01:19:09] so size,
[01:19:10] they are now the size of the average Lannion.
[01:19:13] Mm-hmm.
[01:19:14] Sigh.
[01:19:20] We may,
[01:19:20] we bred naked mole spiders smaller so they can be smaller too.
[01:19:23] Yeah,
[01:19:23] that's true.
[01:19:24] Yeah.
[01:19:24] Yeah.
[01:19:25] Um,
[01:19:26] we,
[01:19:26] we wanted our cavalry to be manageable.
[01:19:28] Do you know how much a giant naked mole spider eats?
[01:19:32] Yeah.
[01:19:33] Except,
[01:19:34] there is a betrayal.
[01:19:36] Uh oh.
[01:19:37] What?
[01:19:37] No.
[01:19:38] The new set of works do not come out smaller.
[01:19:40] They,
[01:19:41] in fact,
[01:19:42] come out larger.
[01:19:44] Oh.
[01:19:46] Someone put Finster's clay in too much.
[01:19:48] There's another betrayal.
[01:19:50] What?
[01:19:50] They're about the grizzly size.
[01:19:51] Oh no.
[01:19:53] They're coming out smaller.
[01:19:57] Oh no.
[01:19:58] Another betrayal.
[01:19:59] But wait,
[01:20:00] there's another.
[01:20:01] Wait,
[01:20:01] there's another.
[01:20:02] I'm indoctrinating them on Lannions or friend,
[01:20:05] not food.
[01:20:07] But wait,
[01:20:09] there's another betrayal.
[01:20:11] They are getting bigger.
[01:20:13] Damn it.
[01:20:14] I want my muscle mommies and daddies.
[01:20:16] No.
[01:20:19] So we all,
[01:20:20] we all,
[01:20:21] except for Darcy.
[01:20:23] She's got the one.
[01:20:24] Just watching.
[01:20:25] Just watching the chaos.
[01:20:27] Yeah.
[01:20:29] Oh,
[01:20:31] interesting.
[01:20:33] So,
[01:20:34] so hang on,
[01:20:34] just so I have it clear.
[01:20:35] So Joe,
[01:20:36] you,
[01:20:36] you said like,
[01:20:37] no,
[01:20:37] they are,
[01:20:37] they are getting larger.
[01:20:39] Yes.
[01:20:39] Um,
[01:20:40] and then they,
[01:20:41] uh,
[01:20:41] David,
[01:20:42] uh,
[01:20:42] went,
[01:20:43] no,
[01:20:43] they're getting smaller.
[01:20:44] And then I jumped in and was like,
[01:20:45] no,
[01:20:45] they're getting larger.
[01:20:49] And they are in Dr.
[01:20:50] David.
[01:20:51] And they are.
[01:20:52] And then,
[01:20:52] and then Jeremy looked in with like,
[01:20:54] no,
[01:20:54] but also they're indoctrinated.
[01:20:56] Well,
[01:20:57] I think the option replaces the original option is the betrayal thing.
[01:21:03] Yeah.
[01:21:04] So I can't count what we show betrayal.
[01:21:06] Yeah.
[01:21:07] Yeah.
[01:21:07] What happens is,
[01:21:08] okay.
[01:21:09] uh,
[01:21:11] so I betrayed to get them larger.
[01:21:14] Uh,
[01:21:16] so I think what would,
[01:21:17] the way it shakes out is they ultimately become more loyal and less clever.
[01:21:22] I,
[01:21:23] because they happen in order.
[01:21:25] Yeah.
[01:21:25] Yeah.
[01:21:26] Okay.
[01:21:26] So then,
[01:21:27] yeah,
[01:21:27] we'll go with that.
[01:21:28] Um,
[01:21:28] so,
[01:21:28] so they were in the previous chapter,
[01:21:30] they were larger than the average landing.
[01:21:32] They are now back to grizzly sized.
[01:21:36] Uh,
[01:21:37] where is that?
[01:21:37] Where's grizzly?
[01:21:38] Where's the,
[01:21:38] there,
[01:21:39] grizzly bear size.
[01:21:40] There we go.
[01:21:41] I'll just toss that in there.
[01:21:43] Uh,
[01:21:44] and then orcs now have their own land,
[01:21:47] uh,
[01:21:47] lands of their own.
[01:21:50] Um,
[01:21:51] do we want,
[01:21:51] like,
[01:21:51] do we do,
[01:21:52] what do they name their lands or did they give their land,
[01:21:55] name,
[01:21:55] a name or anything like that?
[01:21:57] Like a,
[01:21:57] uh,
[01:21:58] it's a series of bone rattles.
[01:22:00] It's like,
[01:22:01] it's like in warhammer fantasy,
[01:22:02] like where the king of like the Reiklands or whatever gave,
[01:22:05] uh,
[01:22:05] the halflings their own little,
[01:22:06] like a bit of land called the moot.
[01:22:10] Uh,
[01:22:12] uh,
[01:22:13] uh,
[01:22:13] So hang on.
[01:22:13] So yeah,
[01:22:14] uh,
[01:22:14] and then we got,
[01:22:15] so now they're indoctrinated.
[01:22:17] Uh,
[01:22:18] so indoctrinated belief,
[01:22:19] uh,
[01:22:19] Lannians are our friend,
[01:22:20] not food.
[01:22:21] That was yes.
[01:22:22] Yep.
[01:22:23] Yeah.
[01:22:23] Why educate when you can just indoctrinate?
[01:22:25] Yep.
[01:22:27] So we have battle clerics.
[01:22:29] They need something to do.
[01:22:30] I forgot about the battle clerics.
[01:22:31] Yeah.
[01:22:31] Battle clerics and paladins.
[01:22:33] Mm-hmm.
[01:22:34] That should probably be brought up in the,
[01:22:36] or put in my notes too.
[01:22:37] The battle clerics.
[01:22:39] Yeah.
[01:22:39] I think we also said like,
[01:22:41] we had like a hierarchical structure,
[01:22:42] so we had paladins now too.
[01:22:44] Right.
[01:22:44] Yeah.
[01:22:45] We have battle clerics and.
[01:22:48] Battle clerics.
[01:22:49] Battle clerics and,
[01:22:50] and,
[01:22:51] and paladins of Orcas.
[01:22:53] Sorry.
[01:22:55] Oh my God.
[01:22:56] Making mill spiders.
[01:22:57] Battle clerics and paladins of the council.
[01:23:00] And they've also got.
[01:23:02] Siege weapons now.
[01:23:04] Yep.
[01:23:05] Um.
[01:23:08] Orcas best boys.
[01:23:09] And then yeah,
[01:23:10] naked mole spiders.
[01:23:12] Uh.
[01:23:13] So now we have.
[01:23:15] Orcas of the land of the bone.
[01:23:16] Uh.
[01:23:17] So war.
[01:23:18] So I guess siege.
[01:23:19] Siege spiders.
[01:23:21] Mm-hmm.
[01:23:22] Multi-perfect spiders.
[01:23:23] Battering spiders.
[01:23:24] Yeah.
[01:23:25] Siege mole spiders.
[01:23:26] Swiss army spiders.
[01:23:28] Mm-hmm.
[01:23:28] Oh my God.
[01:23:30] Um.
[01:23:33] Okay.
[01:23:33] So the friend,
[01:23:34] they are friends,
[01:23:34] not food.
[01:23:35] Um.
[01:23:37] Yeah.
[01:23:37] What,
[01:23:37] what,
[01:23:38] what,
[01:23:38] what have they named their lands?
[01:23:39] I'm curious about that,
[01:23:40] honestly.
[01:23:40] Like.
[01:23:42] I just think it's like a series of,
[01:23:44] uh,
[01:23:44] bone rattles.
[01:23:46] Yeah.
[01:23:47] Unpronounceable.
[01:23:48] Yeah.
[01:23:49] Yeah.
[01:23:49] A series of bone rattles.
[01:23:51] Okay.
[01:23:51] So it's a series of bone rattles,
[01:23:54] but let's be honest,
[01:23:55] they do love their parents,
[01:23:59] meaning us.
[01:24:00] Yeah.
[01:24:00] So every single one of them
[01:24:03] is a variation of one of our names.
[01:24:08] Like the names of the society.
[01:24:11] Oh my God.
[01:24:12] On their,
[01:24:13] on their,
[01:24:13] on their holiday,
[01:24:13] they have an,
[01:24:14] a council anthem.
[01:24:18] So there's a reason why there's a lot of places named Charlestown because it was named after the king.
[01:24:24] Uh,
[01:24:25] there's a reason why there's a Carolina,
[01:24:28] you know,
[01:24:29] council and they're either naming after individual council members.
[01:24:34] Like there's Joe Hannesberg.
[01:24:40] All right.
[01:24:40] I'm writing this down.
[01:24:41] Yeah.
[01:24:41] So like there's different territory.
[01:24:42] Like there's different,
[01:24:43] like,
[01:24:43] uh,
[01:24:44] townships.
[01:24:45] Yes.
[01:24:47] Oh God.
[01:24:49] Um,
[01:24:51] all right.
[01:24:52] Joe Hannes.
[01:24:56] There.
[01:24:58] Um,
[01:25:00] I should,
[01:25:00] should,
[01:25:00] in caps.
[01:25:01] Darcylvania.
[01:25:02] Darcyl.
[01:25:04] Okay.
[01:25:06] In other words,
[01:25:07] Darcy's forest.
[01:25:08] Yeah.
[01:25:09] And then,
[01:25:10] um,
[01:25:11] I guess,
[01:25:12] uh,
[01:25:14] the Crazon mountains or Port Crazon.
[01:25:20] Port Crazon does kind of crazy.
[01:25:23] It's a nice little,
[01:25:26] it's a nice little cottage town.
[01:25:30] Mount David.
[01:25:35] All right.
[01:25:37] Mount David.
[01:25:37] Uh,
[01:25:39] and then Jeremy,
[01:25:40] uh,
[01:25:44] new Jeremy,
[01:25:46] self-appointed Jeremy,
[01:25:48] the Republic of Jeremy,
[01:25:50] the Republic of Dave.
[01:25:53] I like the Republic of region.
[01:25:56] What?
[01:25:58] It's a semi-autonomous region.
[01:26:00] Semi-autonomous region.
[01:26:02] Yeah.
[01:26:03] Yeah.
[01:26:05] Yeah.
[01:26:05] So I personally loved,
[01:26:07] um,
[01:26:09] from the,
[01:26:09] uh,
[01:26:09] goblin game that was put together by the ugly.
[01:26:13] There is a city called the city of Dave.
[01:26:16] Yeah.
[01:26:17] Because there was one goblin that found a duplicator.
[01:26:20] And he just kept duplicating himself over and over and over again.
[01:26:24] And so when you arrived to it,
[01:26:25] it's like,
[01:26:26] halt,
[01:26:26] be a friend,
[01:26:28] be foe,
[01:26:29] or be Dave.
[01:26:33] Yeah.
[01:26:34] Imagine being born a Dave and traveling to the Dave Mecca.
[01:26:38] Oh man.
[01:26:39] I know.
[01:26:39] Right.
[01:26:40] It's like that.
[01:26:40] It's like that Josh thing.
[01:26:42] That's in Spain where like,
[01:26:43] it's just the,
[01:26:44] the festival of Josh.
[01:26:46] I think it's a real thing.
[01:26:48] It is.
[01:26:49] Yeah.
[01:26:50] It must be nice.
[01:26:53] Uh,
[01:26:55] Republic of Jeremy.
[01:27:03] We are creating a deep lore in Lania.
[01:27:09] Um,
[01:27:10] we got one more chapter to go.
[01:27:12] Yeah.
[01:27:12] One last chapter.
[01:27:14] Oh no.
[01:27:16] The sudden but inevitable trail.
[01:27:18] The Orc Mutiny.
[01:27:20] Who's,
[01:27:20] who's reading this one?
[01:27:22] I believe it is me up in rotation.
[01:27:26] In our beautiful lands,
[01:27:28] the war is over.
[01:27:30] Many Orcs no longer see themselves as Lanians.
[01:27:33] Many Lanians no longer wish to share their country with Orcs.
[01:27:36] The time for secret betrayals is over.
[01:27:40] True colors are revealed.
[01:27:42] We must choose sides.
[01:27:45] Each shade can choose to side with the Orcs,
[01:27:48] or side with the Lanians,
[01:27:49] or take no part in the struggle.
[01:27:51] If the Orcs are bound in supernatural loyalty to a sage,
[01:27:55] and that sage sides with the Orcs,
[01:27:57] negative two loyalty.
[01:28:00] So that part doesn't matter.
[01:28:02] Uh,
[01:28:03] let's be fair.
[01:28:04] We chose not to.
[01:28:05] We said earlier,
[01:28:06] no.
[01:28:07] Yeah,
[01:28:07] no,
[01:28:08] fuck the Lanians.
[01:28:09] Yeah,
[01:28:09] no,
[01:28:09] yeah,
[01:28:09] uh,
[01:28:10] yeah,
[01:28:10] we're,
[01:28:10] we're moving.
[01:28:11] these guys lived and died entirely to save your whole place.
[01:28:15] You're just going to throw them over.
[01:28:16] It's like,
[01:28:17] fuck you guys.
[01:28:18] It's like,
[01:28:19] have you learned nothing from the ancient holy scriptures?
[01:28:23] You know,
[01:28:24] I've learned something.
[01:28:25] I have learned something from the ancient holy scriptures.
[01:28:28] And yeah,
[01:28:28] that is right.
[01:28:29] Fuck around and find out.
[01:28:30] Yeah.
[01:28:31] I'm going to put on my crown of,
[01:28:33] uh,
[01:28:34] Styrovian femurs.
[01:28:38] I'm going to climb onto my palanquin made out of the bones of our enemies.
[01:28:43] I am going to ride in the middle of my Orcish horde.
[01:28:48] Generals gathered in their masses.
[01:28:53] As the ancient scriptures once said,
[01:28:56] don't start nothing.
[01:28:57] Won't be.
[01:29:00] And to,
[01:29:01] uh,
[01:29:01] to quote yet another holy prophecy,
[01:29:04] blood for the blood,
[01:29:05] God,
[01:29:06] the skull throne.
[01:29:09] Yeah.
[01:29:10] Uh,
[01:29:10] I think we're,
[01:29:11] this is going to be a route.
[01:29:14] So in that case,
[01:29:16] hiding with the Lanians,
[01:29:17] are we all with the Orcs?
[01:29:19] I think we all.
[01:29:20] We all side of the work.
[01:29:22] All for Orc.
[01:29:23] All right.
[01:29:24] So in that role,
[01:29:26] the Orc Sages choose a single score to be the stratagem for their mutiny.
[01:29:32] Brute,
[01:29:33] clever,
[01:29:33] or numbers?
[01:29:35] Uh,
[01:29:35] we'll roll a 1d6.
[01:29:37] Numbers,
[01:29:37] yeah.
[01:29:38] Numbers.
[01:29:39] Cheers.
[01:29:40] Yes.
[01:29:42] Okay.
[01:29:43] So that's a 1d6.
[01:29:47] Number of Orc Sages.
[01:29:49] Oh,
[01:29:50] it's also,
[01:29:50] yes,
[01:29:50] it's like the number of Orc Sages
[01:29:52] and the chosen stratagem of the Orcs.
[01:29:56] Oh my God.
[01:29:58] Yeah,
[01:29:59] you got a chance.
[01:30:01] Lania is getting,
[01:30:02] uh,
[01:30:03] Lania is becoming a lost civilization.
[01:30:05] So we got 5 plus 5,
[01:30:07] 10,
[01:30:08] and
[01:30:10] what is our,
[01:30:12] oh,
[01:30:12] so number of Orc Sages is 5.
[01:30:15] Uh,
[01:30:15] number is 6,
[01:30:16] so that's 11 plus
[01:30:18] the d6.
[01:30:19] Plus another die 6.
[01:30:21] Oh,
[01:30:22] uh,
[01:30:22] if you guys want to know,
[01:30:24] I,
[01:30:24] I did roll a die.
[01:30:27] Um,
[01:30:29] the Lania and Sages get to roll 1d6
[01:30:31] plus the number of Lania and Sages
[01:30:33] plus loyalty.
[01:30:36] So what is the Orc's loyalty at?
[01:30:39] The loyalty is currently at,
[01:30:41] uh,
[01:30:42] 4.
[01:30:43] Okay.
[01:30:44] So that's a 4
[01:30:46] plus none
[01:30:48] plus a d6.
[01:30:51] Get wrecked,
[01:30:52] Lania.
[01:30:53] Get wrecked,
[01:30:54] Lania.
[01:30:55] Uh,
[01:30:56] I'll roll for them.
[01:30:58] Oh,
[01:30:59] so Lania
[01:31:00] rolls a 1.
[01:31:02] Ah,
[01:31:03] good!
[01:31:04] Oh,
[01:31:04] ah,
[01:31:05] man,
[01:31:06] they are,
[01:31:06] it's like,
[01:31:07] all hail,
[01:31:08] it's like,
[01:31:08] Lania is dead,
[01:31:09] all hail a series of battle,
[01:31:10] bone rattles.
[01:31:14] A beautiful song covers the land.
[01:31:16] Yeah,
[01:31:17] in the sound of bony wind chimes.
[01:31:22] Oh my god.
[01:31:23] So,
[01:31:24] yeah,
[01:31:24] so if the,
[01:31:26] where's the,
[01:31:26] yeah,
[01:31:26] so the aftermath,
[01:31:27] I guess we gotta do,
[01:31:28] with,
[01:31:29] uh,
[01:31:30] where's the orcs,
[01:31:31] Laniens defeated.
[01:31:35] If orcs win the mutiny
[01:31:36] and numbers is their highest score,
[01:31:39] orcish hordes bent on conquest
[01:31:41] descend upon an unsuspecting world.
[01:31:43] Who will stand against them?
[01:31:46] None.
[01:31:48] Who will stand against them?
[01:31:50] None.
[01:31:51] Yeah.
[01:31:52] We have built our army strong.
[01:31:55] We built this army.
[01:31:56] We built an empire.
[01:31:58] We built this army on blood
[01:32:00] blood and bones.
[01:32:01] We built this army.
[01:32:05] Oh,
[01:32:07] God.
[01:32:08] Our tomato children
[01:32:10] are arriving.
[01:32:12] Yes.
[01:32:13] All right.
[01:32:14] Um,
[01:32:15] so yeah,
[01:32:15] chapter eight,
[01:32:17] uh,
[01:32:18] that done too.
[01:32:20] God dang.
[01:32:21] So tales change in the telling.
[01:32:23] If you'd like to replay Dawn of the Orcs,
[01:32:25] you can add some variety by using the four extra chapters that follow this page.
[01:32:30] Each of the four new chapters is more difficult than the original chapters.
[01:32:34] I mean,
[01:32:34] it's pretty hard to get like what would be called to consider,
[01:32:37] uh,
[01:32:37] what would be considered a traditional victory regardless.
[01:32:41] Yeah.
[01:32:43] Like,
[01:32:43] oh no,
[01:32:43] the works overrun the earth.
[01:32:44] Well,
[01:32:45] you know,
[01:32:47] just another Sunday.
[01:32:48] And not to mention they are indeed still a grizzly bear size.
[01:32:52] So fuck with us.
[01:32:54] Yeah.
[01:32:55] Fuck around and find out.
[01:32:56] Yeah.
[01:32:56] These,
[01:32:57] uh,
[01:32:57] these lands are our lands.
[01:32:59] You stay in your lands.
[01:33:02] Yeah.
[01:33:02] There's decided with the,
[01:33:04] with the Orcs.
[01:33:06] Sorry.
[01:33:07] I was like adding some extra things,
[01:33:08] details on the,
[01:33:09] in my notes for chapter eight.
[01:33:12] So Lania falls.
[01:33:16] So just to throw it out there,
[01:33:18] um,
[01:33:19] looking at the,
[01:33:20] uh,
[01:33:20] sheet here for final stats,
[01:33:22] uh,
[01:33:22] they do actually have,
[01:33:23] uh,
[01:33:24] different spots for sizes.
[01:33:26] Oh,
[01:33:27] okay.
[01:33:28] Shoot.
[01:33:28] So we are up two shifts,
[01:33:30] right?
[01:33:31] Yeah.
[01:33:32] Uh,
[01:33:32] no.
[01:33:32] Hey,
[01:33:32] so average,
[01:33:34] larger than the average crazy bear.
[01:33:35] Yeah.
[01:33:35] We're at,
[01:33:35] we're at,
[01:33:36] we're two,
[01:33:36] we're two shifts up.
[01:33:37] Yeah.
[01:33:37] Okay.
[01:33:38] So,
[01:33:39] um,
[01:33:40] going from smallest to largest,
[01:33:42] there is green goo,
[01:33:44] gremlins,
[01:33:45] goblins,
[01:33:45] diminutive,
[01:33:46] stunted,
[01:33:47] Lania.
[01:33:48] And there's burly,
[01:33:50] hulking,
[01:33:52] ogres.
[01:33:52] Oh,
[01:33:53] okay.
[01:33:54] Trolls and giants.
[01:33:56] Okay.
[01:33:56] So we got up to hulking.
[01:33:58] That's fair.
[01:33:59] Which isn't giant size.
[01:34:01] So it's not bad.
[01:34:03] No,
[01:34:03] that's not.
[01:34:03] Yeah.
[01:34:03] I think that's reasonable to,
[01:34:05] to fluctuate in as a,
[01:34:08] as a,
[01:34:09] as a being,
[01:34:10] as a species.
[01:34:11] Yeah.
[01:34:12] And to be fair,
[01:34:13] they are carrying a palanquin.
[01:34:16] Right.
[01:34:18] At least one.
[01:34:19] I mean,
[01:34:20] we can have one giant shared palanquin or everybody gets their own.
[01:34:24] It's,
[01:34:24] it's up to you guys.
[01:34:26] Depends on the day,
[01:34:27] but I am keeping the crown of femurs though.
[01:34:30] That that's fine.
[01:34:31] That's okay.
[01:34:32] I'll make,
[01:34:32] I don't want to wear a crown of femurs.
[01:34:34] Relic crown of femurs.
[01:34:38] Uh,
[01:34:39] and then the belongs to the hierophant of,
[01:34:41] uh,
[01:34:42] the hierophant ex mortis.
[01:34:46] What a beautiful society.
[01:34:48] Yep.
[01:34:49] It shall last for several hundred years or more.
[01:34:53] Bucket heart children.
[01:34:54] So,
[01:34:54] no,
[01:34:55] it will last eternal.
[01:34:58] Looks into the sky.
[01:35:01] Camera fades.
[01:35:02] And then we,
[01:35:03] it,
[01:35:04] it,
[01:35:04] it goes up to the,
[01:35:05] it goes up to the sky,
[01:35:06] fades,
[01:35:06] uh,
[01:35:06] crossfades down to the ground.
[01:35:08] And we see a picturesque,
[01:35:10] uh,
[01:35:11] town in modern day earth.
[01:35:13] Hind tail.
[01:35:15] And then,
[01:35:15] and then it goes below,
[01:35:17] below hind tail.
[01:35:18] And you see the bones of orcs and humans and,
[01:35:20] and an ancient civilization.
[01:35:23] Fighter legs.
[01:35:24] Yeah.
[01:35:25] And moldy.
[01:35:26] Nowhere to hide.
[01:35:28] Nowhere to run.
[01:35:29] Your village will burn like the heart of the sun.
[01:35:35] Rattle,
[01:35:35] rattle,
[01:35:36] rattle.
[01:35:37] With infinite glee.
[01:35:40] Death becomes.
[01:35:41] Me.
[01:35:43] I'll slaughter the world.
[01:35:46] I love that song.
[01:35:50] Uh,
[01:35:50] but yeah,
[01:35:50] so I guess,
[01:35:51] uh,
[01:35:51] unless I will,
[01:35:52] we don't really have a whole lot of time to do the,
[01:35:54] the,
[01:35:55] what was the DLC?
[01:35:57] the,
[01:35:57] the,
[01:35:57] the,
[01:35:57] the,
[01:35:58] the,
[01:35:59] the,
[01:36:06] the,
[01:36:07] and just pick a different chapter.
[01:36:08] If we want to up the difficulty level.
[01:36:11] And I like that they put in some,
[01:36:13] those are there for replayability more than anything else,
[01:36:17] because this was fun.
[01:36:19] Um,
[01:36:19] yeah,
[01:36:20] I loved,
[01:36:21] uh,
[01:36:22] getting to play the masterminds behind creating the orcs.
[01:36:26] I feel like we made some good decisions and some questionable calls,
[01:36:33] but for the most part,
[01:36:34] our society is beautiful.
[01:36:37] I like,
[01:36:37] no war crimes.
[01:36:39] I like how we were basically all unanimously like,
[01:36:41] it's like,
[01:36:42] uh,
[01:36:42] we could betray each other or orcs,
[01:36:46] like,
[01:36:46] orcs.
[01:36:47] We're all for the orc.
[01:36:48] The,
[01:36:48] the,
[01:36:49] the age of Lania is over.
[01:36:51] The time of the orcs is at hand.
[01:36:53] Well,
[01:36:54] this is why you don't gather a bunch of nerds together and tell them to get
[01:36:57] something done in a short timeframe.
[01:36:59] Yeah,
[01:36:59] basically.
[01:37:00] Yeah.
[01:37:00] Yeah.
[01:37:01] Cause I mean,
[01:37:02] at the end of the day,
[01:37:03] I,
[01:37:04] I looked at it going,
[01:37:05] okay,
[01:37:05] there is going to come a time where there is,
[01:37:08] the orcs are going to rise up and slay us.
[01:37:11] Well,
[01:37:12] not anymore.
[01:37:12] I didn't expect that,
[01:37:14] uh,
[01:37:14] reading into the mutiny.
[01:37:16] Um,
[01:37:17] I didn't look ahead other than to see the chapter title,
[01:37:20] the orc mutiny.
[01:37:21] I'm like,
[01:37:21] Ooh,
[01:37:22] yeah,
[01:37:22] it's coming.
[01:37:23] They're going to rise up.
[01:37:24] They're going to kill us.
[01:37:25] But I mean,
[01:37:26] I don't realize that there was an option of,
[01:37:29] or you could just kind of go with the orcs and go,
[01:37:32] we created you.
[01:37:34] Of course we're on your side.
[01:37:37] Fuck those Lannians.
[01:37:39] Yeah.
[01:37:39] No,
[01:37:39] seriously.
[01:37:40] That's an order.
[01:37:41] Kill them.
[01:37:42] Yeah.
[01:37:44] Why,
[01:37:45] why are you standing around and looking at me when there are perfectly good Lannians to kill over there?
[01:37:50] Murder them.
[01:37:52] Well,
[01:37:53] daddy raised a good point.
[01:37:56] Lannian.
[01:37:57] Funny bones are just as tasty as Strivevite.
[01:38:02] You'll go bring me some more funny bones.
[01:38:04] Although we did give them,
[01:38:05] we did indoctrinate with the Lannians are a friend,
[01:38:08] not food.
[01:38:10] No,
[01:38:10] we killed them.
[01:38:11] We just didn't eat them because they weren't.
[01:38:13] Yeah.
[01:38:14] It was an honor.
[01:38:15] It was an honorable kill.
[01:38:17] Yeah.
[01:38:18] Yeah.
[01:38:20] I do like,
[01:38:21] it's like,
[01:38:21] at least we taught them to kill first,
[01:38:24] eat second.
[01:38:26] You're welcome.
[01:38:27] Important.
[01:38:28] Yeah.
[01:38:29] I like the thing that like,
[01:38:30] because we,
[01:38:31] if we didn't have,
[01:38:31] give like the council of invite,
[01:38:34] the council is inviolate.
[01:38:36] I can't remember.
[01:38:37] I can't.
[01:38:37] The council is inviolate.
[01:38:39] Invite.
[01:38:40] Yeah.
[01:38:40] It's like,
[01:38:41] if it didn't have that,
[01:38:41] it's like,
[01:38:42] they're,
[01:38:43] they're like coming up to us like,
[01:38:43] all right,
[01:38:44] we're going to kill you.
[01:38:44] It's like,
[01:38:45] well,
[01:38:45] no,
[01:38:45] we're on your side.
[01:38:51] Yeah.
[01:38:51] It's like,
[01:38:52] it's like when you're,
[01:38:52] when you're like,
[01:38:52] when you're the kid and you go to your parents,
[01:38:54] like now,
[01:38:54] listen,
[01:38:55] I've got some rules.
[01:38:55] Like,
[01:38:56] yeah,
[01:38:56] no,
[01:38:56] you're fine.
[01:38:56] You're good.
[01:38:57] Yeah.
[01:38:57] We're good.
[01:38:57] Yeah.
[01:38:58] Yeah.
[01:38:58] We agree.
[01:39:00] Wait,
[01:39:00] that went different than I expected.
[01:39:03] Yeah.
[01:39:04] We're on your side,
[01:39:05] child.
[01:39:06] No,
[01:39:07] we actually really love the bone decorations.
[01:39:10] Oh.
[01:39:12] We're amazed by your creativity.
[01:39:14] Yeah.
[01:39:14] Do you think I would be putting these macaroni drawings up on the plate if I did not,
[01:39:20] in fact,
[01:39:21] love them?
[01:39:22] Macaroni.
[01:39:22] That's what it is.
[01:39:24] Definitely not finger bone.
[01:39:26] Exactly.
[01:39:29] Finger bone art.
[01:39:34] You think I would be playing with these lovely dominoes that you guys made if I didn't think that,
[01:39:40] you know,
[01:39:41] playing with the bones of my enemies was a fun little game.
[01:39:44] By the way,
[01:39:45] it's your turn to place a domino.
[01:39:46] Come on.
[01:39:48] What's funny is when we,
[01:39:49] when we do run the next Chucks Angels and you guys end up in like the lair of the works.
[01:39:55] No,
[01:39:55] no,
[01:39:56] no,
[01:39:56] you guys end up beneath the gazebo.
[01:40:00] I am like Adam and,
[01:40:02] and,
[01:40:03] and Brownie are going to be kind of confused by like,
[01:40:05] what are the structures that we're finding?
[01:40:07] Like,
[01:40:08] like that are like kind of here.
[01:40:08] Like,
[01:40:09] are these,
[01:40:09] is this like the alien like stuff?
[01:40:10] Or is it like,
[01:40:11] I'm seeing like bone chimes everywhere.
[01:40:13] And you guys are just going to be like,
[01:40:14] oh,
[01:40:15] oh no.
[01:40:15] Oh,
[01:40:16] shit.
[01:40:17] He chose the form of our destroyer.
[01:40:18] Yeah,
[01:40:19] really?
[01:40:20] It was like,
[01:40:21] and then like,
[01:40:23] there's orcs wearing hats.
[01:40:27] Why are they red and look like tomatoes?
[01:40:30] Why is there one wearing a bone,
[01:40:32] a crown of femurs?
[01:40:34] Oh no.
[01:40:36] He looks so much older than everyone.
[01:40:39] Yeah.
[01:40:42] But yeah,
[01:40:42] no,
[01:40:42] this was fun.
[01:40:43] Tomatoes.
[01:40:44] There's a little world's greatest dad's mud next to his,
[01:40:47] next to him.
[01:40:48] Yeah.
[01:40:49] Yes.
[01:40:50] It's a pretty good one shot game.
[01:40:51] I would say.
[01:40:52] Yeah.
[01:40:53] Yeah.
[01:40:54] I guess you have comments,
[01:40:54] questions and suggestions for this game.
[01:40:57] Oh,
[01:40:58] I like it.
[01:40:59] I like that there's replayability built in.
[01:41:01] Um,
[01:41:02] this feels like something that I would love to bring to a random table.
[01:41:08] This feels like,
[01:41:10] uh,
[01:41:10] if we are at a convention and about four beers in,
[01:41:14] like we're going to have a hell of a lot of fun with this.
[01:41:17] Yeah.
[01:41:18] Agreed.
[01:41:20] And I,
[01:41:21] I kind of want,
[01:41:24] I,
[01:41:25] I'm going to sound horrible.
[01:41:26] I might give this one to RPX.
[01:41:27] I'm going to sound so horrible.
[01:41:28] Uh,
[01:41:28] yeah.
[01:41:28] I want to play this with RPX.
[01:41:30] I want to find a group that has a boy scout built in,
[01:41:35] you know,
[01:41:36] the,
[01:41:36] the player who is always going to try to do the right thing.
[01:41:40] Got you covered,
[01:41:41] boo.
[01:41:43] One list guys,
[01:41:44] Aaron and Dave are our paragons,
[01:41:46] uh,
[01:41:47] in a sea of all the other players tend to be chaotic renegade.
[01:41:51] I would love to see what happens if there is actually a split.
[01:41:56] Like,
[01:41:57] yeah,
[01:41:57] I'm,
[01:41:58] I'm actually like,
[01:41:58] I was going to,
[01:41:59] I was,
[01:41:59] I want to see what would happen when,
[01:42:01] if we have Lanyans versus work stages.
[01:42:05] Like I would love to see.
[01:42:06] Oh my God.
[01:42:06] Yeah.
[01:42:08] I might.
[01:42:09] With us loyalty.
[01:42:12] Versus no,
[01:42:13] no numbers overwhelm them.
[01:42:16] And when it actually does come down to an,
[01:42:19] an actual die roll.
[01:42:21] Yeah.
[01:42:21] I think I'm actually going to suggest this,
[01:42:25] uh,
[01:42:25] for like in like a couple of days,
[01:42:26] I'm going to actually have a,
[01:42:27] see if one,
[01:42:28] if I can round up some of the one less die players for an online game and run this.
[01:42:33] I'm curious to see how their size ends up.
[01:42:36] Yeah.
[01:42:37] I see.
[01:42:37] I see.
[01:42:37] Knowing now that there is so much of a size chart.
[01:42:40] Yeah.
[01:42:41] Cause like,
[01:42:41] again,
[01:42:41] we were just kind of like,
[01:42:42] Oh,
[01:42:42] like they're bumped up.
[01:42:43] Then like average is like,
[01:42:44] all right,
[01:42:44] if we're going like grizzly bear or like ogre size,
[01:42:46] and really it's just like a little bit,
[01:42:48] it's like hulking.
[01:42:49] Yeah.
[01:42:50] Yeah.
[01:42:51] Shaq size.
[01:42:52] Yeah.
[01:42:52] Yeah.
[01:42:53] We,
[01:42:53] we varied back and forth a little bit.
[01:42:56] They came down on exactly the right size,
[01:42:58] big enough to just be looking at them and you are intimidated.
[01:43:02] Yeah.
[01:43:02] But not completely inhuman.
[01:43:05] Yeah.
[01:43:05] They're,
[01:43:05] they're Schwarzenegger size,
[01:43:06] or maybe like a little bit big,
[01:43:07] or again,
[01:43:08] snooze to size,
[01:43:09] the Amazons from the future.
[01:43:11] Yeah.
[01:43:11] Seven to nine feet tall,
[01:43:13] but not like,
[01:43:15] you know,
[01:43:15] not no 12.
[01:43:16] Yeah.
[01:43:17] Actually,
[01:43:17] they basically just look like war,
[01:43:19] like 40 K orcs.
[01:43:20] Now that I think about it,
[01:43:21] like really,
[01:43:21] it's just like hulking,
[01:43:23] like bigger.
[01:43:25] Yeah.
[01:43:26] The true,
[01:43:26] true orc of orcs.
[01:43:28] Yeah.
[01:43:30] But yeah,
[01:43:31] no,
[01:43:31] this was fun.
[01:43:31] I could also even like,
[01:43:32] even without like the extra like adventures,
[01:43:34] I could see this being like a diverse game,
[01:43:38] like over like even the same party variation.
[01:43:41] Yeah.
[01:43:41] Like even like,
[01:43:41] if we like,
[01:43:42] we,
[01:43:42] we played this game now and then like a couple months down the road,
[01:43:44] Hey,
[01:43:44] you guys want to replay a Dawn of the Orcs?
[01:43:47] I feel like we would even have a different like,
[01:43:49] uh,
[01:43:50] play campaign then too.
[01:43:53] So.
[01:43:55] I would really love to,
[01:43:58] uh,
[01:43:59] send this off to lime and plasma page,
[01:44:01] uh,
[01:44:01] tell them how much we enjoyed this.
[01:44:04] And,
[01:44:05] um,
[01:44:08] at the very least,
[01:44:09] I want them to hear the lovely orcish horde we created.
[01:44:13] Yeah.
[01:44:15] Yeah.
[01:44:15] I can send them,
[01:44:16] uh,
[01:44:16] I'll,
[01:44:16] I'll send them the,
[01:44:17] uh,
[01:44:17] the document.
[01:44:18] Um,
[01:44:19] uh,
[01:44:20] cause they,
[01:44:20] yeah,
[01:44:20] they've been talking,
[01:44:21] they were talking to me on,
[01:44:22] uh,
[01:44:23] in the,
[01:44:23] in the DMS of discord,
[01:44:24] uh,
[01:44:25] when they asked me about this.
[01:44:26] So.
[01:44:27] Yeah,
[01:44:27] definitely.
[01:44:27] Thanks to them for letting us play this.
[01:44:29] This was a lot of fun.
[01:44:30] It is a,
[01:44:31] it is a perfect con game where it's just silly.
[01:44:33] It's fast.
[01:44:34] You make some good decisions,
[01:44:35] you make some bad decisions,
[01:44:37] and then you see what happens.
[01:44:39] It's a really fun time.
[01:44:40] Yeah.
[01:44:41] And as soon as this does go live on Kickstarter,
[01:44:44] I would love for them to let us know when it's planned.
[01:44:50] And,
[01:44:51] um,
[01:44:52] that way we can hype the hell out of it.
[01:44:55] Yes.
[01:44:55] Um,
[01:44:57] flipping through here,
[01:44:58] I do love the concept art.
[01:45:01] Um,
[01:45:03] I hope that this is the art that they stick with because a lot of this
[01:45:07] artwork is just amazing.
[01:45:09] Yeah.
[01:45:09] Yeah.
[01:45:10] Yeah.
[01:45:10] Like I,
[01:45:10] I love the game when I read through the game and then,
[01:45:12] but like the art was like really captured me as like a visual person.
[01:45:16] Like,
[01:45:17] I really love the style they went with for this.
[01:45:21] And I,
[01:45:21] I,
[01:45:22] I am loving this,
[01:45:24] uh,
[01:45:25] 3d 10 sage table,
[01:45:26] by the way,
[01:45:27] because yes,
[01:45:31] there are so many different,
[01:45:32] um,
[01:45:34] there's so many different possibilities.
[01:45:36] We could have West self-appointed,
[01:45:38] which of the West was amazing.
[01:45:40] Yeah.
[01:45:40] That one made me laugh.
[01:45:41] I was like,
[01:45:42] yep.
[01:45:42] Keeping that one.
[01:45:43] And I love,
[01:45:44] I love that.
[01:45:45] There were two dreaded hierophants.
[01:45:47] Yep.
[01:45:47] One of,
[01:45:48] one of death and one of the soul.
[01:45:52] And I feel like that this game would really be fun when you started adding more people like four or like four was great,
[01:45:59] but it says it can support one to eight.
[01:46:01] And I would love to see the debate between people.
[01:46:03] If you had eight people.
[01:46:04] Yeah.
[01:46:05] I don't actually honestly be curious about like how solo would play out.
[01:46:10] Yeah.
[01:46:11] Cause I mean,
[01:46:11] that's at that point,
[01:46:12] it's just kind of like a creative exercise.
[01:46:13] I'm,
[01:46:13] I'm not really familiar with,
[01:46:15] like with,
[01:46:15] with solo games,
[01:46:16] like how they play out exactly.
[01:46:17] But,
[01:46:18] and like,
[01:46:18] even this game,
[01:46:19] like,
[01:46:20] like a GM less game.
[01:46:21] I'm so used to being at like the ever GM,
[01:46:23] but like I was,
[01:46:23] I wasn't sure,
[01:46:24] but I wasn't,
[01:46:25] I'm not like,
[01:46:25] I wasn't sure about this game,
[01:46:26] but I was like a little,
[01:46:27] like,
[01:46:28] how am I going to react?
[01:46:29] And I was like,
[01:46:30] no,
[01:46:30] this was like hella fun.
[01:46:31] Yeah.
[01:46:32] Like it was a collaborative collaborative,
[01:46:33] like sort of exercise.
[01:46:35] Yeah.
[01:46:35] I like the votings.
[01:46:36] Yeah.
[01:46:37] Yes.
[01:46:37] One last thing,
[01:46:39] which by the way,
[01:46:40] odd number makes voting better because that way we've,
[01:46:43] we're never going to have a deadlock.
[01:46:46] Yeah.
[01:46:47] Um,
[01:46:48] so I would like to scroll all the way back to the very beginning.
[01:46:51] What was everybody's motivations?
[01:46:54] Uh,
[01:46:55] my motivation was,
[01:46:57] uh,
[01:46:57] as the,
[01:46:57] as the dreaded hierophant,
[01:46:59] uh,
[01:47:00] eternal,
[01:47:01] um,
[01:47:01] so chaos and discord,
[01:47:04] which I,
[01:47:05] I focused that on like,
[01:47:06] you know what?
[01:47:07] Like I'm more of like sewing discord,
[01:47:10] like,
[01:47:10] like chaos and discord on the,
[01:47:12] like on Lania and,
[01:47:13] and,
[01:47:14] uh,
[01:47:15] and,
[01:47:15] um,
[01:47:16] uh,
[01:47:17] Starovia.
[01:47:19] So I,
[01:47:20] I,
[01:47:20] I was like tempted to try and do it like in a betrayal,
[01:47:22] but I was like,
[01:47:22] no,
[01:47:23] like everything's like gelling so well.
[01:47:24] It's like,
[01:47:25] I don't want to do that.
[01:47:27] So,
[01:47:28] um,
[01:47:28] mine as the,
[01:47:29] uh,
[01:47:30] dread hierophant ex mortis was wreck terrible vengeance for all I have suffered.
[01:47:35] Oh my God.
[01:47:36] Yeah.
[01:47:37] So I don't know exactly what I have suffered,
[01:47:39] but clearly something because I am the dead man.
[01:47:43] So terrible boredom.
[01:47:46] Was that yours?
[01:47:48] No.
[01:47:49] That was like,
[01:47:50] he suffered terrible boredom.
[01:47:53] Motivation,
[01:47:54] terrible boredom would also be really fucking good.
[01:47:56] It's like,
[01:47:56] I'm bored.
[01:47:59] Why did they do this?
[01:48:00] Because they were bored.
[01:48:02] Mine was so chaos,
[01:48:04] discord and havoc.
[01:48:05] Yeah.
[01:48:06] I had to protect my people at all costs.
[01:48:10] Uh,
[01:48:11] and,
[01:48:11] uh,
[01:48:11] who my people were transmogrified over the,
[01:48:14] personally game from that works.
[01:48:16] Yeah.
[01:48:16] You had,
[01:48:16] you,
[01:48:16] you,
[01:48:17] you had that,
[01:48:17] like you had a character arc.
[01:48:18] You were like,
[01:48:19] yeah,
[01:48:19] it's for Lania.
[01:48:21] And there's like,
[01:48:23] well,
[01:48:25] look,
[01:48:25] there's my people.
[01:48:26] And then there's my people.
[01:48:28] Yeah.
[01:48:29] Look,
[01:48:30] I built these people.
[01:48:32] So therefore they are mine.
[01:48:34] And they've got a lovely,
[01:48:35] they've got a culture.
[01:48:38] It's a culture that I told them that they have,
[01:48:40] but it's a culture.
[01:48:41] There are,
[01:48:42] we,
[01:48:42] we created,
[01:48:42] we cultivated this culture from,
[01:48:44] from the,
[01:48:45] uh,
[01:48:45] from,
[01:48:46] from,
[01:48:46] from whole cloth.
[01:48:50] From little,
[01:48:51] but essence of Orcus.
[01:48:53] Yeah.
[01:48:53] But just,
[01:48:54] oops,
[01:48:55] I fall over with the,
[01:48:56] with the jar,
[01:48:57] with the soul of Orcus.
[01:49:01] I,
[01:49:01] I do love that,
[01:49:02] like sugar,
[01:49:03] spice and everything nice.
[01:49:04] And then,
[01:49:04] uh,
[01:49:06] uh,
[01:49:06] chemical X spill in like that,
[01:49:08] that whole metaphor of that,
[01:49:09] that was really good.
[01:49:10] I like that,
[01:49:10] that allegory.
[01:49:11] Yeah.
[01:49:12] That was good.
[01:49:14] What was your motivation?
[01:49:15] My motivation was,
[01:49:16] um,
[01:49:17] proving my field of study being the most valuable.
[01:49:21] And I feel like we did,
[01:49:22] um,
[01:49:24] we did descend into some,
[01:49:26] some Orcish.
[01:49:28] Ancient lore.
[01:49:29] Yeah.
[01:49:30] Yeah.
[01:49:30] We were,
[01:49:30] yeah.
[01:49:31] Um,
[01:49:32] I,
[01:49:33] I,
[01:49:33] yeah,
[01:49:33] that,
[01:49:33] that works out for this.
[01:49:34] Cause like,
[01:49:34] it's like,
[01:49:34] it's like,
[01:49:35] it's like you trusted this,
[01:49:37] the academics.
[01:49:38] Yeah.
[01:49:39] To build you an army.
[01:49:39] What did you,
[01:49:40] who did you think they were going to side with?
[01:49:44] Yeah.
[01:49:44] I'm talking longevity.
[01:49:46] Your kingdom's not worth shit.
[01:49:48] Yeah.
[01:49:51] Yeah.
[01:49:51] No,
[01:49:51] that was,
[01:49:52] yeah.
[01:49:52] Fun.
[01:49:55] Oh,
[01:49:56] I did.
[01:49:57] I also did again,
[01:49:57] just like how like,
[01:49:58] none of us wanted to betray anything in this.
[01:50:00] It was just like,
[01:50:01] no,
[01:50:01] we're good.
[01:50:02] Not,
[01:50:03] not until size.
[01:50:04] Yeah.
[01:50:05] Not until size is where,
[01:50:06] where we draw the lines.
[01:50:07] Like,
[01:50:07] no,
[01:50:07] I want the,
[01:50:08] size does matter.
[01:50:12] Death by snooze.
[01:50:15] Oh God.
[01:50:16] I was just hoping that we could brute force it at the end,
[01:50:19] but no,
[01:50:19] we had to just go with giant,
[01:50:23] but that,
[01:50:24] that works.
[01:50:25] That's fine.
[01:50:26] Yeah.
[01:50:27] I'll get convinced to,
[01:50:28] to back this on Kickstarter when it comes out.
[01:50:30] Yeah,
[01:50:31] absolutely.
[01:50:32] I will.
[01:50:32] I'm going to back this.
[01:50:34] I'm going to push this.
[01:50:35] I'm going to endorse this.
[01:50:36] Like I'm going to bring this to as many tables as I possibly can.
[01:50:41] I,
[01:50:41] I kind of feel like this is a,
[01:50:44] just in case one of the various groups has an off day,
[01:50:49] or if there's a member that isn't going to be able to make it,
[01:50:53] it's like,
[01:50:53] you know what we're going to do?
[01:50:54] We're going to do some orcs.
[01:50:56] Yeah.
[01:50:59] Good experiment into like natural alignment as,
[01:51:03] as players.
[01:51:04] So especially like in con environments,
[01:51:07] getting to know a player of table,
[01:51:10] like a table of players and how they,
[01:51:12] how they'll react to certain movements in a game.
[01:51:17] Yeah.
[01:51:17] And then it's interesting to see how the empire results.
[01:51:21] Yeah.
[01:51:22] As of that,
[01:51:22] because there's so many ways that,
[01:51:23] that this can go,
[01:51:25] you know,
[01:51:25] Lania can fall.
[01:51:27] The orcs themselves can fall.
[01:51:32] Well,
[01:51:33] Lania falling is Stravius winning,
[01:51:35] but you get what I mean.
[01:51:36] There's,
[01:51:37] there's,
[01:51:37] we got three different avenues and differing levels of success in each.
[01:51:44] Yeah.
[01:51:45] I'm curious.
[01:51:45] We got three shifts on every.
[01:51:48] Yeah,
[01:51:50] pretty much.
[01:51:50] But if we had failed on any of the roles,
[01:52:00] like for instance,
[01:52:01] the very first one,
[01:52:03] the,
[01:52:05] yeah,
[01:52:06] the slaughter at Shrike forest on a defeat,
[01:52:09] the orcs are too few and too new to war.
[01:52:11] So we only pick two warps.
[01:52:13] Yeah.
[01:52:14] Right.
[01:52:14] The rescue at Sinatep.
[01:52:19] That one would have been picked two warps.
[01:52:21] And if the orcs were bound to supernatural loyalty to a member of the monarchy,
[01:52:25] minus two loyalty.
[01:52:27] So if we had picked,
[01:52:28] Hey,
[01:52:28] let's make them loyal to the crown.
[01:52:30] Oh,
[01:52:31] all snap.
[01:52:33] Let's see.
[01:52:34] Defeated worm hill would be minus one numbers and then pick two warps instead of three.
[01:52:41] Harrowing of Starovia is minus one clever and pick two.
[01:52:44] Two warps instead of three.
[01:52:46] Heartland's campaign is just pick two warps.
[01:52:50] And if the orcs are bound at supernatural loyalty to an item,
[01:52:54] it is taken by the Starovia.
[01:52:55] It says loot minus three loyalty.
[01:52:57] Good call on our part.
[01:52:59] Yeah.
[01:53:00] Very good call on our part.
[01:53:02] So all of the different things that we,
[01:53:05] like our choices made a difference.
[01:53:08] Yeah.
[01:53:10] And I do love that the,
[01:53:14] the game has built in that you can't just steam roll by making one stat,
[01:53:19] your primary and sticking with it.
[01:53:21] You can't just win with numbers.
[01:53:24] Yeah.
[01:53:24] It does force you to like,
[01:53:26] you have to like choose different stratagems every time.
[01:53:29] Yeah.
[01:53:30] And,
[01:53:32] excuse me,
[01:53:36] the one that immediately jumps out is,
[01:53:42] the fact that math wise,
[01:53:48] since we're making the rolls in chapters two through seven.
[01:53:53] So let's see.
[01:53:54] One,
[01:53:55] two,
[01:53:55] three,
[01:53:55] four,
[01:53:56] five.
[01:53:56] Yeah.
[01:53:57] Um,
[01:53:59] there's no way to have,
[01:54:01] well,
[01:54:02] there's no way to not have each of the two stats rolled together.
[01:54:06] Yeah.
[01:54:08] So it,
[01:54:11] it behooves you to level up evenly.
[01:54:15] Yep.
[01:54:17] So yeah.
[01:54:18] Um,
[01:54:19] very nice bit of design there.
[01:54:23] Yeah.
[01:54:24] I can,
[01:54:24] I'm curious like,
[01:54:25] like how things would have shaken up because we,
[01:54:27] we rolled really well.
[01:54:28] Yeah.
[01:54:29] And we planned pretty well too.
[01:54:31] So yeah.
[01:54:32] I imagine like things had,
[01:54:33] had not gone as smoothly as it did.
[01:54:35] It was mostly due to good planning because for most of our score rolls,
[01:54:45] because as a,
[01:54:47] as a min max,
[01:54:48] or I,
[01:54:48] I will freely admit,
[01:54:50] um,
[01:54:53] the stats that we rolled for each of the different things,
[01:54:56] we were always making sure that we were putting together positives.
[01:54:59] So we did not make our roles suboptimally.
[01:55:02] Yeah.
[01:55:03] Um,
[01:55:04] the very first role was the only one where it was not really,
[01:55:10] yeah.
[01:55:11] Um,
[01:55:12] for that one,
[01:55:12] we needed to roll a three or better,
[01:55:15] I think.
[01:55:16] Um,
[01:55:17] but then for literally all of the other roles,
[01:55:20] it was either two or better or just don't roll a one.
[01:55:25] Yeah.
[01:55:29] And since,
[01:55:30] yeah,
[01:55:33] proper planning made it to where,
[01:55:34] as long as we don't roll a one,
[01:55:36] we're good.
[01:55:38] There were a couple of roles in there where it's like,
[01:55:41] there's no way we can fail.
[01:55:43] Yeah.
[01:55:44] I'd love to see how bloodthirsty it gets.
[01:55:46] Um,
[01:55:47] yeah.
[01:55:47] In an,
[01:55:48] in an environment like four beers deep and yeah,
[01:55:53] every one bad role in the whole party is ready to wage war on everything.
[01:56:00] No society,
[01:56:01] no culture,
[01:56:02] just blood.
[01:56:04] That also kind of feels like that would be that moment where,
[01:56:08] um,
[01:56:09] I,
[01:56:10] God damn it,
[01:56:11] Jeremy,
[01:56:12] you're the one that said we shouldn't make them more loyal.
[01:56:15] Yeah.
[01:56:16] Yeah.
[01:56:17] You'll push her cleverness.
[01:56:19] This is on you.
[01:56:20] This is your fault.
[01:56:22] You did this to us.
[01:56:25] And then I think that that would create some interesting.
[01:56:28] So it's not my fault that the die rolled a one for the end arcs where your sages can either,
[01:56:35] where your sages choose sides.
[01:56:38] Yeah.
[01:56:38] But yeah,
[01:56:41] I like the system a lot.
[01:56:42] I think it's very neat.
[01:56:43] I think that the variation in it,
[01:56:46] uh,
[01:56:47] allows for a lot.
[01:56:49] And I like that even with the prompts that,
[01:56:55] uh,
[01:56:56] the room for creativity is,
[01:56:59] I really like that.
[01:57:00] It makes you add culture.
[01:57:01] It makes you add.
[01:57:03] Yeah.
[01:57:04] That's those like lower questions.
[01:57:06] Yeah.
[01:57:06] Actual bonds to this army that you're creating.
[01:57:10] Yeah.
[01:57:10] Cause again,
[01:57:10] are you giving them?
[01:57:11] Like,
[01:57:13] as soon as the customs start coming up and as soon as like on,
[01:57:17] on the shifts to indoctrinating,
[01:57:20] write one belief that you give them.
[01:57:22] Yeah.
[01:57:22] Or if we decided to go education,
[01:57:25] write one skill that they learn.
[01:57:27] Yeah.
[01:57:29] Like I,
[01:57:29] I wanted to stay away from the,
[01:57:32] uh,
[01:57:33] education just because I was like,
[01:57:34] Oh wait,
[01:57:35] we don't want them to be too clever.
[01:57:36] But on the other hand,
[01:57:38] can you imagine if we had started giving them skills at the very beginning?
[01:57:42] Uh,
[01:57:43] what kind of skill do the orcs have trap making?
[01:57:48] Leather working.
[01:57:49] Basket.
[01:57:51] Yeah.
[01:57:51] Cake decorating.
[01:57:54] Sorry.
[01:57:55] All right.
[01:57:55] All right.
[01:57:56] All right.
[01:57:58] I don't know if you guys are,
[01:57:59] uh,
[01:57:59] played or,
[01:58:00] um,
[01:58:01] the,
[01:58:01] the newer mortal combat games,
[01:58:02] but there's like one,
[01:58:03] I think annihilation or something on the X-Box where it was like cooking with scorpion,
[01:58:08] chopping,
[01:58:11] chopping,
[01:58:11] tenderizing,
[01:58:12] chopping,
[01:58:13] cake,
[01:58:13] decorating,
[01:58:14] and chopping.
[01:58:17] I can,
[01:58:18] I can use that cooking with scorpion,
[01:58:19] uh,
[01:58:20] advice because chopping is my worst cooking aspect.
[01:58:24] Oh,
[01:58:25] you get the right knife.
[01:58:25] You're good.
[01:58:26] Yeah.
[01:58:27] Uh,
[01:58:28] but yeah,
[01:58:28] I think,
[01:58:30] uh,
[01:58:30] I think that's,
[01:58:31] that's pretty good for,
[01:58:33] uh,
[01:58:33] this recording since we are still recording.
