[00:00:00] Oh hello and welcome to Dente Wigmottis.
[00:00:20] I'm your view cultist.
[00:00:22] I'm Mikey, these times are evil.
[00:00:24] And I'm the gamer in yellow.
[00:00:26] And we're here to discuss those internet stories, most creepy and most pasta, and the mythologies from around the world. So, but let's give our initial recommendations before we get too far ahead. I'm gonna recommend this one. I am going to partially recommend this one. I'm going to scroll to the bomber notes and see what I sound gonna recommend this one. Okay.
[00:01:42] Well, let's find out why we give it recommendations or partial recommendations.
[00:01:44] Starting with the rundown featuring the rock,
[00:01:46] except not the rock, because I think we actually a walker. Chuck Walker. But yeah, so anyway, yeah, this rundown of the fishing trip. So Charlie is out at sea on a creature. This is all in the pursuit of catching Yormingander, the world serpent of Norse mythology, based on research from Professor Aalik. Suffice to say, he's horrified to find that they have changed. Professor Olic is now a younger and more wolfish version of himself. And Helen, cackling of the way. Yeah, yeah, yeah, circle by. Yeah. But with that most of the story, he only uses all like he doesn't use professor. Like because he only calls him professor, all like, so he doesn't call him on a first name basis. No, I still think it's weird that like because like all I can do is also the last name basis for the entirety. We were in high school.
[00:08:22] I mean, that's true.
[00:08:22] You call it.
[00:08:23] You call me.
[00:08:25] Yeah. But yeah, that's my my one grievance of the story is that like the it just seemed odd to be that that was happening, but moving on. Mikey, these days for evil.
[00:09:42] I have a conjunction junction.
[00:09:46] And next stop, we sure. Yeah, definitely. And for those unaware, Mikey strings these sentences
[00:12:21] together into a story to highlight all the sentences
[00:12:25] in a story that's started with words that they probably
[00:12:26] shouldn't, like it say the shape? It says the size of houses.
[00:13:42] Yeah, okay, yeah, yeah.
[00:13:45] I, okay, I can kind I guess, but it's like if he was seeing the mainland and he was seeing the lightning hit the ground next to a house and then you'd be like, okay, that's the same size as the fucking house.
[00:15:01] Okay, but he doesn't-
[00:15:03] Yeah, he's just being flowery.
[00:15:04] It's like, oh my God, it's huge.
[00:15:05] Like a house.
[00:15:07] Yes.
[00:15:07] Yeah.
[00:16:05] an image to like as like a title card when you're like looking through like the listings and stuff, but it's just like it's it's just kind of I don't know it's sort of I almost felt it was like unnecessary
[00:16:11] to have because it kind of gives us away what we're gonna what we're in for for the story a little bit
[00:16:17] too early on anyway.
[00:16:22] Do you guys have anything else about the image or?
[00:17:24] Like a title card for when you're like browsing for the creepypastas. Yeah.
[00:17:25] And usually on websites you want those to be like low res or like small files.
[00:17:33] Although, so I'm just realizing like I'm just like I browsed over the tab for the creepypast.wicky.
[00:17:40] My high, it has like high memory usage.
[00:17:42] Like it's currently at 1.2 gigs.
[00:17:44] Just the wiki site.
[00:17:46] Hell. to the French fable in pretty much every circle he inhabits. So I had to actually look up like French fables involving foxes. And I was like, huh, cool. There's a whole myth cycle of stories from the Middle Ages involving an anthropomorphic fox named Raynard. Um, hence why the nickname connection with Dr.
[00:19:01] Raynard, Olic neat.
[00:19:06] Yeah, it's basically, yeah, it's like asked, like, what are you guys gonna do when you actually catch the monster, if or when you actually catch the monster? And the fact that like, Professor Olic did not like respond or like was like kind of dodging the question. You never went and tried to like get confirmation
[00:20:22] on that question in the weeks that followed.
[00:20:25] He just, or.
[00:20:27] It's kind of weird. this him off. Yeah, he's already on bad term books. Yeah, he already seems to be on his shit list. So, and then we get to this part here, the story or this quote here. The man facing me bears a resemblance to allic, yeah, cause according to Norse mythology, uh, Loki had three children. Fenre, uh, technically he had a sec, he had four children, Slepnir, friendrear, Hell, and Yarmungander. He like, he basically birthed monsters.
[00:23:00] Yeah.
[00:23:01] Um, and you know, for some reason, like, I don't, I honestly do not know why this
[00:23:06] kept popping in my head early on in the story.
[00:24:02] But, yeah.
[00:24:06] Then my next thing here.
[00:24:09] In that moment, my mind breaks. From out of the sea,
[00:24:10] protrude miles and miles of glistening serpentine coils.
[00:24:14] The scales are the dull color of seaweed encrested with barnacles
[00:24:18] and all matter of ocean life.
[00:24:20] An enormous head, the size of a mountain erupts from the depths.
[00:24:24] Blind, the soldier, the creature that was underneath the desert in those caves was called a jinn or something or an affreet. So if anything, maybe, so I guess anything could be possible.
[00:25:41] I mean, it's not just like the Wickers the idea of like the world serpent, like your man gander had
[00:27:04] me thinking something like, what if your man g like, oh, well, like it's close to like one of the tectonic plates areas. So it's like maybe that's why it's there. Yeah, just an idea that popped in my head. It's unrelated to the story itself, but it's semi connected to the material. Yeah.
[00:28:25] And my last actual thought're even with this kind of POV.
[00:29:44] But also who's to say that Charlie doesn't end up in Niffleheim, the Norse realm of the dead.
[00:29:47] And so this is- I'm getting a letter from the from off from off stage. Get the hell off the stage. Yeah, I'm done. Mikey, the East Dance Reeval, your your actual class. All right. So.
[00:31:01] Let's see here.
[00:31:04] I'll, I'll, I'll start for salt water. Wow. All the sense. Yeah. Yeah. The sense they're just deadening around him.
[00:32:20] Yeah.
[00:32:21] Yeah.
[00:32:22] It's certainly it's sort of what it's like.
[00:32:25] Just just to using it. It's like the way she's moving the saw, it's like the grace of a lumberjack. It's not actually a lumberjack motion.
[00:33:41] It is metaphorical.
[00:34:48] Then my next actual thought here, which will be my last. Imagine my shock when my lame attempts to talk to her were accepted and even encouraged.
[00:34:55] Two weeks later we were fucking like it was going out of style.
[00:35:00] Our relationship stayed on that course for about six months when she informed me that Um, like he was definitely thinking with the other hand. Yeah, but at the same time it is kind of like, so dear, do you want to come with me? I got to go with my, I got to go with my father on a fishing trip for several weeks or months at sea. Do you want to come with us? It's just like, she's asking this like, while she's even reclined naked.
[00:36:22] It's like.
[00:36:27] One thing I don't get is like.
[00:37:24] But like she could have just said I'm going with my father on a trip.
[00:37:28] Yeah, then Charlie's like, oh, can I come with? And then she's like, uh, sure.
[00:37:31] Yeah.
[00:37:32] Like that would be a good sense.
[00:37:34] Yeah, like I was definitely like I was definitely suspicious that like
[00:37:39] like they needed him for something, but like really by the end, they didn't need him at all.
[00:37:43] No, he's just a casualty like the Korean crew, like of the boat.
[00:38:43] like a very well toned like athletic like Valkyrie, not like she she described as a Valkyrie many times.
[00:38:46] So yeah.
[00:38:50] Yeah, it was definitely a death by snooze new situation that he
[00:38:53] passed. And so I guess like she just like kept him around as a pet
[00:38:57] or like as a as a as a sex toy.
[00:39:00] I'm gonna pass it.
[00:39:01] Yeah. Yeah. Basically.
[00:39:05] Yeah, it's I was just in a little bit. Yeah. And like I said with that suggestion of like, she says that she has to go and then Charlie's like, asks if he can come along and then she's forced to be like, I guess, or like he's like adamant
[00:40:20] because like, yeah, really good.
[00:40:22] So like, again, he was like, he was thinking
[00:41:24] like, suspecting it like the whole time, but like, it just, it is just on the never like I was expecting it the whole time.
[00:41:27] Why?
[00:41:28] Because for reading this, I was over dinner.
[00:41:32] I watched a movie called fire walker.
[00:41:34] It's a Chuck Norris comedy movie.
[00:41:36] He does.
[00:41:36] He's surprisingly good in a comedic role, um, where the lead
[00:41:42] actress, um, it's trying to get them to go to like some, um, some
[00:42:43] there, especially. Yeah. Well, as time went on, like, as the weeks went on, the tension started building, then they weren't like, they weren't doing it as much.
[00:42:46] But I don't think they were doing it at all when they were on the ship.
[00:42:50] I don't know. Maybe like, maybe it was
[00:42:55] very close quarters and sharing room with the dad.
[00:42:59] Yeah, that's, that's definitely like, yeah, then we're on to gamer in yellow Where the hell am I? Okay, so um right to start
[00:44:23] The the first couple lines are
[00:45:22] saying the what was the third line.
[00:45:26] It's talking about like the ring through its nose and all that and like, okay, ox is in it. So then I'm like, okay, I'm going to give this event a doubt and
[00:45:29] restart this through my head, not start on a silly note.
[00:45:35] And then I continued. Oh, okay.
[00:45:37] I thought there was going to be like another like it's like, and then did this.
[00:45:40] No, no, no. Okay.
[00:45:43] Cause like I didn't want that silly wrote in my notes after this, I swear I'm trying to take this seriously.
[00:47:01] Obviously. hella hell hella hella yeah But yeah, like it's it's definitely like so he definitely should be concerned as to why he's getting like deep-keeped or like gaslit about the whole situation Pretty much. Yeah, the only thing I could think of as to why they don't have weapons everything is just that the fox is wanting To basically just snap a picture and upload it to a socials and then just leave yeah
[00:48:23] Because I don't know what else
[00:49:26] But then we get that like well it is out of the ordinary, but it's nothing out of the rumble possibility. Yeah, that's what I meant. Yeah
[00:49:34] Yeah, but then like at the end we get that like they they touch on that or they use that that earlier description of the eyes color
[00:49:40] For the color of the corpse flesh that is it's on the other side of the other half of hell
[00:49:43] Yeah
[00:49:45] I just thought this is a spontaneous question to you guys. So yeah, this questioning why yes, so have for buddy was covered in pale Pervix in the other rotting lumps of flesh the same purplish hues. Yeah, so The calling I believe was the bottom half that was purplish
[00:51:04] That's what you went mermaid situation. Yeah, yeah
[00:53:41] So well, I mean after six months. I mean it's gonna be rotten down there Wow apparently he's just like living that he's just like swimming in the gutter right now I think you opened the gutter basically for him to just Like have it like mixing the old myths and legends of our of our cultural histories to the modern world with like our tech and stuff like that. It's really cool. Now, I did sort of enjoy that there's a monster and Thor shows up and all that stuff, so I'm still going to give this a partial. Okay. I do want to specify, like, I do think that him wanting to get onto like be on this trip,
[00:55:03] I think that should maybe be altered in the story and like a future iteration of the story.
[00:55:07] Yeah, I think so. So while Charlie could have asked more questions and probably should have, but that's fine. But seeing the Norse shenanigans going on in modern time as always need as we said, although it did make it feel like a Marvel movie more than a horror movie, especially since Thor shows up. Like I was waiting for Iron Mander to roll in as well.
[00:56:21] Overall I did like it.
[00:56:22] I wonder the whole thing though, the most creepy scene was the like graphic ox killing
[00:56:28] scene. No, I mean, I'll eat the aftermath, but I it's delicious and necessary. It's not going to it's not going to turn me into a vegan. No, but I don't want to see it. Yeah. So yeah, like I said, that's for me, that was the creepiest part of the whole story,
[00:57:40] which it's not supposed to be. So as a horror story, if you're wanting to read it to be scared,
[00:58:44] Do I recommend this? And eventually I just kind of came to pieces like, yeah, you know, I enjoyed the read. So you know what, I'm going to recommend it. But I can also, I understand
[00:58:47] where you guys are coming from. Like it is, like it's definitely horror aesthetic and more like,
[00:58:54] it's sort of the situation where you get with some stories or movies and stuff that are like
[00:58:59] horror epics, like, or epic horror, where like not willing to give it a partial just yet, but like it's, it's teetering.
[01:00:21] Like the boat, right?
[01:00:22] Cap size.
[01:00:23] Yeah.
[01:00:24] It has strong weight in it.
[01:00:25] So I get it.
[01:00:26] Yeah.
[01:00:27] Exactly.
