(Pathfinder 1e): Dat World! At Myth's End - Episode 5: Deep Freeze Part 2

Session 5: Deep Freeze Part 2 - Attack on Dero

Juan didn’t know exactly where the strangers had come from, but he knew they weren’t with the Dero Dominion. Jetting down the Utility Road toward the Main Gates of the city, as sirens blared and he towed the newcomers skiff at high speeds, he figured it couldn’t hurt to bring them in. Maybe they could help with the conflict those monsters from beyond and beneath the ice had been waging with humanity. The jarred oranges may have also been a winning factor for his compliance, it had been so long since he’d tasted good fruit. The smoke and screams billowed over the iron walls and the doors were slowly closing, this was going to be a tight maneuver.

Dave - Weyland Winchester - Shadow Man in Black Gunslinger (Dave)

[00:00:00] Juan didn't know exactly where the strangers had come from, but he knew they weren't with the Darrow Dominion. Jetting down the utility road toward the main gates of the city, as sirens blared and he towed the newcomers' skiff at high speeds, he figured it couldn't hurt to bring them in. Maybe they could help with the conflict those monsters from beyond and beneath the ice had been waging with humanity.

[00:00:25] The jarred oranges may have also been a winning factor for his compliance. It had been so long since he'd tasted good fruit. The smoke and screams billowed over the iron walls, and the doors were slowly closing. This was going to be a tight maneuver. It's not dis world, it's dat world, dat. This is, this is, this is, this is. Two, seven, six, six, seven.

[00:00:54] Two, eight, six, two. Okay, so hey, we're playing Myths End. And we're back. And we're back. What's that? Oh, careful. What's that? Last we left off, um... Actually, let's just go around the tail because it hasn't been a while. So, uh, from my... Right. Do this. Do this. I was doing that, I was like, right. Wow. Uh, Chris. Chris or Chris?

[00:01:25] Who are you? Uh, what do you do? What do you do? Uh, who's your character? What does he do? I'm Undoondin, and I'm a Nephilim brawler. Uh, and from what I can remember, it's been a while, um, we're, uh, we're, uh, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Ah. Yeah. Yeah, that's right. You've heard it here. We're, uh, blah, blah, blah, blah. Too many thoughts all at once.

[00:01:47] Um, uh, um, uh, I guess we'll start with, we're here, uh, I'm here mostly to, um, to usher and watch and observe, um, Balthazar on his quest. Right. Uh, as we head towards, uh, you know, some pretty dammit shit right now. Mm-hmm. Gotta fight the evil. I'll jump in with, like, what's who I am.

[00:02:13] But I'm fairly, but you know, Undoondin's fairly, fairly quiet, fairly, uh, uh, reserved. As you're sitting there in the, uh, in the back of the carriage. Yeah. With all the crates. Yep. He would rather punch things than, uh, use a weapon. How does Undood, uh, deal with the cold? Does he actually... Punches the cold away? Does he have cold? Like, because it is pretty cold out there right now, so. He's okay with it. You know, maybe he'll... As long as he keeps punching, he's keeping his blood flowing. Yeah. Maybe he'll put on another t-shirt or something. Uh, all right. And then next to him is Dave.

[00:02:44] He's playing... Uh, Waylon Winchester, who is a special gunslinger who, um, got transported through one means or another to... Can't remember the name of the town, all right? Uh, Myths End. Myths End. Um, where he settled down and created a, a shop called, uh, Winchester's Widgets, where he sells all sorts of things. That he makes. And finds. Awesome. Uh, and... Next to him is Aaron, playing... Ah!

[00:03:14] Balthazar Romanov. Balthazar Romanov. Just, just, Balthazar Romanov. Okay. Wizard in awesomeness. All right. Uh, the shortest one. Mic drop, my god. Yeah, I didn't spend the entire time that you guys were doing your introductions thinking about what my move is going to be. Oh, okay. That's what we normally do? That's your move? That is. That is my move. So if he threw... If he switched it up, it's where it went, to my left is, and immediately went you, you'd like, oh, Balthazar. That's better. Balthazar.

[00:03:45] Yeah. Barf it up. Yeah. Barfazar. God. That's what the school kids called him. Yeah, totally. I mean, I could start going over his list of titles. Balthazar. I can see that. So anyway, so you guys, when last we left you guys off, you were traveling at pretty

[00:04:13] fast speeds now, um, in your cart, in the middle of the Antarctic, uh, Peninsula. What was pulling the cart? I haven't got to get to that in a sec. No, previously. Uh, it was really just wind power. Yeah. We were, we, we set it up with sails. Right, yeah. But they kind of got slightly damaged when you guys almost crashed into a plane, uh, into a, uh, into a very steel, very steel riveted, um, diesel punk-esque, uh, prop

[00:04:36] prop plane, um, powered by, or piloted by, um, uh, one Juan Carter, uh, commander of the, whatever. Captain Juan Carter. Yeah, actually, Captain Juan Carter, I think actually was his name, or was his designation. Cause, uh, he's part of, uh, the, um, scouting crew, or scouting fleet of, uh, Esperanza, or Esperanza City, uh, in Antarctica, um, as there apparently has been, in this world reality

[00:05:04] that you guys have found yourselves in, there is a war going on between, uh, sub-Arctic, sub-terranean, um, army of monsters and the rest of humanity. Rather, kind of like a Arctic version of Gears of War. Um, so, chainsaw assault rifles for everyone. Who gives it a war too? Um, is it? Uh, kind of, I don't remember. I said it's diesel punk. They might have chainsaws. They might have chainsaws in there.

[00:05:32] Actually, you'll need to go grab the, uh, the, um, the technology guide that's on your, uh, on your table there, cause that has chainsaws in it. Yes, but does it have a chainsaw assault rifle? Yeah, it does. Just tape it to an assault rifle. It's just a bayonet piece now, at that point. Just duct tape it to the front. But, uh, anyway, um, you guys, uh, find yourselves, um, your, your, your, uh, so your sails are basically torched or pretty screwed from the, uh, from hitting the, uh, the plane. But, Juan had an idea.

[00:06:01] And so you find yourselves sailing down a, uh, a man-made road in the middle of the Antarctic. Oh, right, he doesn't trust me cause I look like the enemy. He, at first, didn't trust you. And he was scared of him because he got turned big by Balthazar. Yes. To stop the plane. Yeah. Um, but he is helping you. He knows that you, uh, you guys are wanting to help because the signs have gone off in the city meaning there's an attack. Yes. So they are, you guys are zooming down this road propelled by the propeller plane in

[00:06:30] front of you that is just basically using it like a, a fast moving vehicle down the road toward the, um, toward the main gates. And the gates are closing. So you just hear somebody, uh, hear Juan yell from his cockpit. It's like, hang on! And everybody needs to roll me a, uh, fortitude save to hold on tight. Okay. As the gates basically are going, are closing pretty quick.

[00:07:00] 17? 19? Wasn't too bad, actually. 27? Okay. So you all hang on. Yay! Um, does anybody have any extra animals or companions or anything like that? Just have to make sure because we always forget that. Uh, no. No, I don't. This is actually like the one and only character that doesn't have an animal in it. I do have- Your animals are your fists. That's right. They're creatures. They're monsters.

[00:07:28] Actually, we're not sure where they are yet because they aren't with you yet. They're trying to fucking play my face on it. Um, maybe hang on. We'll get through that. So the plane is not going to, the wings are not going to make it past that door. But he is gunning it. And so the wings just shear right off. Like fly past your cart. Oh sweet. Narrowly miss, um, narrowly misses the Nephilim by like inches. As he's like holding onto the railings like for support.

[00:07:58] Um, and you guys find yourselves in the center of a, or in a like main like kind of, um, uh, greeting area or like of like a clearing in a town. Um, the buildings are all like brick, mortar, and steel, or an iron. Um, the walls, the cells were basically just giant hulking iron, um, like, um, armaments. There are turrets, like massive turrets, um, on these, uh, on the, um, on the walls. Um, and they're actually not positioned outward.

[00:08:27] They're positioned inward at this point. They've been swiveled inward. And you find out why. There's these giant flesh things just burrowing up from the ground. And, um, there are groups of people fight, like groups of men in, you know, in uniforms similar to wands, uh, uniforms. Fighting with, like, with repeating, with guns.

[00:08:50] Or fighting with, like, uh, with, uh, metal, or like, with, uh, I don't know, have you guys ever, well, you, have you ever seen, who's here has actually seen a gun? Oh, yeah, hang on. Fighting with weapons similar to, um, to the guns, uh, to the, uh, to, uh, uh, Winchester. Yeah, sorry, the gunslinger. I like the last one. But, like, repeating. Well, I think, I think guns are kind of a natural aspect to the game, right? Like, they're a part of the lore. Yeah, like, it's very mixed. I think we would all know about guns, just not about, like, all the different types.

[00:09:20] Unless you were a gunsmith. Yeah, um, well, you, you see, like, people wielding weapons similar to his, but they're repeating, like, they're... Oh, they're full on them? Yeah, and they're attacking a mix of these crazy short, uh, wild-haired, um, dark-skinned, or, like, dark-gray-skinned, and, like, glowing-eyed individuals. Bleach white. So they're dry. Not quite.

[00:09:50] They are shorter than men. They're probably about, like, a quarter, about, uh, three-quarters the size of a man. Okay, are we talking, like, is Verf Neiblin, or are we talking, uh... I think more of a dwarf. Uh, Daruger. Uh, actually, no. Are they slender? You got, like, they're slender, but they're dwarf, uh, like, they have some build, but they're dwarf-like in size. Sounds like, they sound like grays with hair.

[00:10:13] They are, and they're wielded, they're decked out in some weird-looking armor, and, like, kind of, uh, almost, like, poncho-esque, like, uh, like, uh, uh, uh, cowls. And they've got, um, crossbows that have gas, uh, gas canisters on them, and they're firing these, like, orange and blue shots at people. Um, and are either lighting people on fire or, uh, freezing them in place. Yeah.

[00:10:36] Um, and there's also packs of werewolves in uniforms with red band bands on their, on their sleeves. Oh, Z Kyle. Um, and there's these, the, where the flesh things are, there's these giant, like, burnt steel, like, next to a couple of these giant flesh things that are crawling around and eating people. There's also these giant metal, um, mole machine things, um, that have also burrowed out of the ground. This is chaos. Why did they come here?

[00:11:03] So, um, they are, like, uh, like, basically, it's a hectic war zone right now. So, um, Juan has gotten out of his vehicle. Uh, actually, no, Juan puts a couple of shots in, into the, into some groups with his, with the, with the, uh, plan itself, but then gets out once it depletes and, uh, runs over to you guys like, well, you guys wanted to come to Esperanza City. Welcome to the city. And then he runs back and, like, tries to help some, a group of people. So, you guys see some things. Uh, roll my spot checks. Oh, what the hell are they all fighting for?

[00:11:36] They're lies. Why did our mother start this war? What the fuck are they fighting for? Spot check. Pretty much. Uh, there's, oh, right, perception. Uh, perception check. 22. 26. 26. 14. Okay. Okay, so, you, uh, sorry, uh, Undun. You see, um, uh, a mother, or, and a couple of children, um, trying to run, uh, get between, uh, one aisle, uh, one alley to another.

[00:12:03] Um, but there's two of these werewolf creatures. Um, these wolf men, um, coming up, um, and, like, right, like, going to pounce on them. Oh. The rest of you guys see this battlefield going on. And you guys feel that you guys could either go into this and just start helping out these, the human, the regular folk. Um, who are clearly protecting the citizens that are here. Like, they're not just, like, a bunch of, it's not just all soldiers. It was a, almost like, like, it was like a meeting place or a marketplace kind of thing.

[00:12:32] But you also notice that a couple of those werewolves have gotten at one of the turrets that are aiming, that were aiming at the giant Shagathian monstrosities that are also looming through the city. Um, so, one of you guys could go up to the turret and stop and get rid of those things and then maybe use the turret. Or you guys could help the allies themselves. Do you want the turret? Sure. It's shooting things. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. But yes, what do you do?

[00:13:01] There's a woman and child about to be eaten by werewolves. I think I'm going to go after the werewolves. Okay. So, this point we're going to do some, uh, a couple of initiative checks as this is going on. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, I need my, that bag. You need your, this bag. Yes. Oh, the file bag. No, it's just my, well, it's just my file. I don't remember if I've already casted defensive type spells on people. Defensive spells? I was?

[00:13:31] I'm going to say probably not because this is fairly, we're fairly fresh out of, uh, Myth's End. Yes, but we also heard that there was an alarm going off. Oh, that's right. Yes, you did see that. Um, I don't, we kind of left it off when the siren's going off. And you guys, like, we have to get to the city. Okay. So then on the way to the city, I will have tapped you guys with Mage Armor. We'll say that's the only thing that I gave them because we didn't know what we were walking into. Yeah. Oh, we all get a plus fall? Yes. Alright. Uh, what was initiatives? I haven't rolled yet. Okay, roll. Oh.

[00:14:00] Hold on. What am I total written down? 22. 22? Wait, what? Oh, your initiatives. God damn it. We're playing the game, by the way. Right? I'm like, what? There's things going on. Oh, it's just a three. Uh, 21. 22. 23. Really? How dare you? No, I'm 22. Oh, okay.

[00:14:27] Okay, so, um, who has the higher red decks? Probably me. Okay. Who went between the two 22s? That's probably me. Oh, that was you. Sorry. Okay, I've only got a 16. Son of a bitch. I've got a 16. That's pretty good still. That's amazing. Oh, no. No, mages usually have a high dexterity. Because the idea is to not be hit. Well, and because our base attack bonus is low, so, uh, since we're, most of our, our

[00:14:54] ranged attacks are ranged touch attacks, we use a lot of dexterity base checks. Okay. All right, so, um, so, sorry, which one was me? You? All right, so what are you doing? Uh, you see there are men fighting, um, a mix of the werewolves and, or these wolfmen and these shorter albino gray-skinned individuals, um, with bolters, basically. Mm-hmm.

[00:15:19] Um, and, uh, there's at least a dozen of each, um, on the, on the, on the lines, but you basically wouldn't be adding, uh, to aiding the rest of them. Can you use any caves old, though? There's also, again, the turret up on the, on the, the, up on the, um, the ramparts that you can get to. Um, there is actually a set of, like, um, utility ladders and stairs to get up to the, the, the turrets. Um, but the werewolves literally climbed up the walls. Fuck. Ass.

[00:15:49] Sorry, I thought you said up to the turrets. Oh, nice. Yeah. Um, is there anything, uh, is there anything between me and the stairs? Um, there is, uh, one of the, um, uh, there's one werewolf. Okay. Kind of like just stalking around looking for civvies. Is he on the stairs at all? He's in between you and the stairs. Are there any, um, nearby areas that would, um, that he could fall from? No, he's on the ground. Oh, okay. Yeah.

[00:16:18] I didn't know if there was, like, a ledge or something. All right, um. No, it's pretty paved, like, cobblestone and, um, like, up to that point, so. This is a pretty industrious town. Okay, then. I suppose I'll just, I'll start by just putting a shot in the werewolf. Okay. With the, uh, the Helchester. The Winchester-Helchester thing. And... What?

[00:16:47] Yeah, um, do you want to be Gerald? For me? For him. Yeah. Hmm. You could. Cool. I'm going to find this thing. It'll let us expand the tales of Gerald. That's true, yeah. Across timelines. It would. You can go wrestle that giant thing. Don't, don't, does it only have stats? Oh, wait, no. That's for the actual Gerald. Yeah, no.

[00:17:16] This would just be using your stats. I'd be turning you into a large-sized creature and then casting a, uh, uh... to make you look like a troll. Gerald. But yeah, you're shooting. Yeah. What'd you, what'd you roll? Twelve. That is not gonna do it. I figured. I missed. Yep. Missed.

[00:17:46] Uh, okay, so you, um, uh, it, it takes notice, uh, so I'm gonna roll its initiative on that. Do I get a second, a second shot? Uh, you will, cause that was a surprise attack. Um, but I need to roll. Oh, okay, like, that's my mission. To get him initiative, yeah. That was, that was just a surprise. Yeah. Yep. What level? I think he wants me to let him to the other side of the door. Okay, so he's got a 15, so that's not gonna be too bad. So I'm going to do that.

[00:18:15] Alright, so he's definitely going after you. Cool. Uh-oh. That's no good. Do I have to re-roll initiative? No, no. Okay. For a fucking werewolf. Whoops. He's gonna get spit out. So what'd you get? You fired again? Huh? I didn't shoot again. Oh, you didn't shoot again. Can I? Yeah, yeah. Oh, okay. It was a surprise attack. Oh, I know. Okay. Okay, that's a lot better. That's a lot better. That's a 24. 24?

[00:18:45] 5. What are the two? So maybe maybe 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20. Yeah, 23. My math. Sorry, uh, 23. Yeah, you hit him there. Cool. I get it. And then that is one of these. Eight damage. Eight damage? Give me a second. Don't look.

[00:19:14] Oh, right. Shit. I was just looking at the book. I was like, oh, right. That's the monster. I shouldn't be looking at that. All right, cool. Just don't mind me. Take a picture of it. Have you seen? I mean, I was... Actually, I need my phone. Oh, yeah. Airplane modes. Oh, right. Sorry, guys. No, it's cool. Because of the, uh... Just in case that we get... Oh, I... It's cute.

[00:19:49] Man, this thing's been updating it all week. Like, every day. It's like, new update installed. And I'm like, okay. Okay. So, yeah, you basically shoot him in like the... I didn't miss both times. No, you didn't miss most times. In fact, you shot him in the arm. Cool. He like looks, takes notice, and like growls at you and attacks. Okay. So, he is actually going to pull a... Zwinehander off of his...

[00:20:18] Off of his, uh... Off of his, uh... Back. The Swinehander? The Zwinehander, yeah. Oh, good lord. And just swing it, um... At you. He's 60 feet away from me right now. Is that a Scottish? He's going to run and do a charge, basically, with it. It's a German sword. Oh, it's German. It's a giant two-handed sword. Yeah. Oh, it was their great sword. Yeah. So, he gets... He's going to run up to you. Um... Which he's going to...

[00:20:46] You can do in a charge, basically. Mm-hmm. So, let's see if this hits. Fucking German knocking rare wolves. Let's roll that again. You know what? All these... Okay. That is going to be... 21. Did it hit me? Yeah. No? No? All right. He swings and just misses you. I'm a slippery bunker. Yeah. He thought he had the distance, but he just... Like, the blade just... Like, just barely misses you. Okay. Right in front.

[00:21:16] And then we cut to, um... Aaron. Because it's the next round. I don't know. So, the way I'm doing... I'm going to do this is... Each one... Each one... Each one's... Each one's... Everybody's round, or each one's turn in this round, is going to be a different, like, scene, essentially. That works. Everybody's in a different location. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That works. So, Balthazar. Um... What are you doing? You, uh... You see that your friend has run off toward the turret that was being besieged. I took two shots at the wall. Second shot. A giant... Again, these giant flesh...

[00:21:47] Flesh blob things. You've actually... You remember the gibbering mouther, um... Creature, uh... In that one dungeon you and, uh... Sabrina and, uh... Pacer once dealt with. It's... They look an awful lot like that. A lot of eyes, a lot of teeth, a lot of... Or biomorphic flesh. Um... And they're basically roaming around in, um... Large size, running around the, uh... The streets, eating people. Uh... And doing as much collateral damage as possible. Uh...

[00:22:15] And then there's also the people that... There's a squad of people, of normal people firing, uh... The automatic guns at, um... Squads of wolf men and these gray dwarfish fellows. Well, then I guess I'll go deal with the gibbering mouthers. Because... Because... Well. Yeah. At least there are soldiers dealing with the soldiers. That is fair. Alright. Okay. Um, you... The one you're... Uh...

[00:22:45] The closest one to you, uh... That's like in your view. Um... It looks like it's, uh... Going after a small mob of, uh... Cities that are running for their lives. Okay. So then, um... I'm gonna time this and make an ambush. Okay. Make a surprise conference. Uh... Just as the people are passing, I'm going to, uh... Uh... Cast Frostfall on the area they just passed through. Okay.

[00:23:14] Which basically just coats it in ice. The gibbering mouther has to make a balance check to be able to run through it. It also takes damage as he moves through it. Um... There you are. Alright. You gotta make a what roll? Or what check? Uh... Balance check. Balance? 18.

[00:23:46] That'll do. That'll do. Okay. Um... So basically it... Well, it's basically a blob of flesh and organs. So... And like multi... And changing organs. So it basically adapts to the shifting ice. And it takes, um... Three plus my... Five. So that'd be... Uh... Eight. Cold damage. Okay.

[00:24:17] I'm just pulling this up. So I'm just gonna roll his initiative two on the earth. Okay. No! That's enough. That's enough rolling up initiative. Mm-hmm. Calm your shit down. I'm saying that to the gibbering mouther. Calm your shit down. Sorry, how much damage does that say? Uh... Eight hundred. There you go. No.

[00:24:46] All right. Enough to take down a Tarrasque. That's impossible. Um... All right. So that was a surprise round. Um... So you can do another attack. All right. Now I'm going to... Um... But it knows... It's now aware of you. So I'm going to make, uh... Ice spikes erupt from the ground beneath it. Okay. Um... Now I just have to find that little black book.

[00:25:17] Like one of these? No. No. Uh... Moldskin notebook. I don't think it was in this pile. Probably is. I don't... Check it a little... Take it. Yep. There you go. Is that your frost magic spell book? Yeah. Yeah. Okay.

[00:25:46] Okay. So, uh... It's a large-sized creature? Yes. So it occupies two five-foot squares? Yes. Cool. I make the ice spikes erupt in both of them. Okay. So you got toys? Yeah. Um... He gets to give me a reflex save. Okay. 18?

[00:26:17] As soon as you fly. Or is he prone? Um... No. No. Now he gets... Now we have... I have to make a, um... Double plus intelligence. Okay. So what's his CMD? CMD is... 16. Can't be tripped. Can't be tripped? Yeah. Oh, okay.

[00:26:49] Amorphous blob. Oh, okay. He is basically... He's technically... He's an aberration, but he's basically an ooze. All right. All right. Um... Yeah, okay. So then I just, uh... Two-die-six piercing and two-die-six cold. Piercing damage. Not gonna do a whole lot to an amorphous blob, but... Cold damage should work okay.

[00:27:25] So, 12 piercing damage. Okay. 15 cold damage. So, 12 and 15? Yeah. So... 27. Okay. He's not looking too good. He's horribly... Aviscerate. It is very badly... Not viscerate. I was gonna say. Horribly poked with holes. Is that more than half of itself? Yeah, but, uh... I don't know if...

[00:27:52] Amorphous blobs are not subject to, uh, critical hits, so they're not subject to that kind of thing. And you have to go to the bloods. Oh. Because his organs can just change. They're just everywhere. So vital organs can just shift around. Ew. Um, so, uh, however, in his attack, um, he lets... How far... How far are you from him? Um, I would say I am 30 feet off the ground and 20 feet off to one side. Okay. Um, a spray...

[00:28:19] A jet stream of this viscous green liquid spews forth from one of his mouths, uh, directly at you. Oh, has it... Um... If it hits you, it's gonna send you into the sky. Like hitting a guy with a bow of Warframe in the air. Oh, hey, that's just... That's a new... Apparently it's acid, so then I might be Lucy in the sky. With dying. Goddamn. That's true. Uh, so that's going to be a...

[00:28:50] 14 to hit you? No. No? Didn't think so. Uh, basically, it... But it goes... It hits some of the, uh, the people below you. Um, like some of the soldiers that are fighting. And they blind... It blinds them. Casualties. How do you do that? He's aiming at me and I'm straight up in the air. Is it because it's like... It arced. Like, missed you and arced. Didn't land on buildings? No. It got some... Or some of the cities. Yeah. Um, but that was a free action, so it is actually going to, uh... It does that as a free action?

[00:29:20] Spittle is a free action. Every round. Spittle? Yeah. It's such a cute name for such a horrible attack. Spittle. I got Spittle on me! Oh! I'm fucking melting! Uh, so I guess the next thing it's going to try and do, uh, is... So you're about 30 feet up in the air? 30 feet in the air, 20 feet off to one side. All right, uh, it's going to start clawing up on the walls and try and reach you. Okay.

[00:29:49] Because you're in kind of an urban environment, so it's trying to get up to you and grapple you. 17? No. So it jumps, it lurches off, it climbs up, you see just basically like, use hands and it just grows to climb up railings and like brick and mortar and then gets up to your level and tries to jump on at you and misses.

[00:30:18] Doesn't quite reach it and again falls down into like, and splats all the other round with a horrible squelch. Um, and then just kind of roars a little bit. Um, so that's what it does. So, Chris, their, uh, your turn. Oh boy. Sorry. Two werewolves are about to pounce on a mother and her like three children. All right. Uh, as they are trying to basically get out of the marketplace area or the area that you're

[00:30:46] like where all this is happening and just get through one to one of the alleyways for safety. But they've been cornered by two of these two werewolves. Okay. Um, but I got, I'm like, they don't see me coming for them. Um, they are preoccupied, slathering and growling some kind of language. Uh, some very angry language at, uh, at the, uh, at the, uh, Schwein! Schwein der Schule und Schwein! More like, Schwein der Schule. Oh yeah, that's right.

[00:31:16] And it's just like spittling, like, like foaming at the mouth practically. This is the same spittling. Let's hold on. No, no, no. Not the same. Um, so. Well, if they're in between me and them, I, um, I want to throw a Thunderstone at them. Okay. Um. Thunderstone is it? It's a flashbang, but it's like a magical flashbang. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah. It's that, it doesn't create a flash, but it creates a, like a cough and a sound that does stun people. Nice. Sonic attack.

[00:31:44] Uh, you can actually buy, it's actually a basic, uh, item you can get in the, uh, in the trick gear. Nice. Um, yeah, it's a professional substance. Yeah. We'd basically use, like, I'd use the, it's stats for, for flashbangs if you want flashbangs. Like, for flashbangs. That if you put one in a sling and you hurl it at somebody, they've been thunderstruck. Yeah. Oh, nice. You beat it. Maybe with a little bit of the, um, uh, the, uh, still house.

[00:32:14] Since nobody else is trying it. Oh. Right. Right. Forgot it was there. But anyway. So yeah, what are you doing? You're throwing it, you were throwing it? Yeah, I'm going to throw it, so. It's passing flare. So basically, it's good, you just got to hit a ten foot spot, because, or like a ten foot square. Okay. Um, I, I just want to throw it in between the two of them, so it hits the two of them. Uh, giving the opportunity. Is that just me? It's just water. It's just water.

[00:32:45] He found that out of way fast. Well, I was like, this is, this is an orange pop. And I was like, I don't know, I doubt Aaron would ever give me that much, I doubt Aaron would give me that much of, uh, like, uh, uh, whiskey. It was like, it was like half the glass. I was like, it didn't even smell like it. It's way too much whiskey. Anyway, so you're firing the, you're throwing, roll your attack then, roll your, uh, your throw. What does he have to roll for it?

[00:33:13] Uh, you just got to roll, probably, is it just, um. Base strength. Base strength, right? For a thrown weapon? For a thrown weapon? Yeah, he's trying to hit like a ten foot square. Um. So. Yeah. And the DC's just ten, right? The DC is just ten, and you get to use your base attack bonus. Yeah. Like. Base attack bonus. Base attack bonus. Base attack bonus. Oh, there we go. It's plus seven. Oh yeah, I did it. Uh, with a twelve. Just be glad, Grace.

[00:33:42] When my older brother asks me to get stuff, uh, asks me to get him a glass of water, because I happen to be the one up, I always make sure it's hot. Try some of the whiskey in that. In orange, in the orange pop. But yeah, sorry, uh, would you roll? Uh, twelve. Twelve. Alright, that hits, uh, it lands right, it like, ting ting ting, and then goes off. Um. What's the sound it makes? Crack-a-toom! Crack-a-toom! Cool.

[00:34:12] So. It's magic, it's fine. And I guess they gotta roll a fortitude? It makes a skadoosh noise. Yeah. Skadoosh, skadoosh. They gotta roll a fortitude, right? To not be stunned? Or does it just happen? I believe so. Yeah, no, it's not. Nat twenty. I'll even see of like thirteen. So one of them is, uh, is unfazed. Uh oh. Uh. If anything, it's your director. And nineteen! Oh yeah. Neither of them are unfazed by it. However, they should be distracted from the woman in trial so that they could fucking run away. Oh yeah, no, yeah.

[00:34:41] They, they, they, they, they, they, they, they hear that. Actually, the, the, the kids and the girl, and the woman though, I'm just gonna do a general roll for them. An eight. They get five, right? They are, they are like, like, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're all, all their ears get like clapped. Mm-hmm. Um, and they're basically like huddled in a corner, like helpless. Oh. Like not sure what's going on. You're making it worse. But you do make yourself known to the, to the werewolves. They, they turn, one of them turns to you and it's just like, uh, what's German for,

[00:35:12] um, Schwein? Or what is this? Like, what is this? Uh, uh, uh, uh. Why are you asking us? Was, was is that? Was is that? Is that really? Yeah. Was is that? It's really. Was is that? Was is that? Yeah. Uh, and, uh, one of them has this, has a, one of them has, one of them has, one of them has his Y-hander. The other one has a, um, uh, very small looking pistol. Oh dear. Um, how small, like tiny crick? Or? He's got a luger. Oh, okay.

[00:35:42] Nice. That's so German. Weird. They have red bands with white, with a insignia on a white circle. They are Nazi werewolves! Right, right, right. Spoilers. Weird. Well, you know that. They might be Wolfensteins. Oh, they might be, yeah. Yeah. Anyway, um, so this, you're around, so I'll roll their initiatives. Uh. That's seven? That's gonna be, well, that's seven rolled, so.

[00:36:10] Well, that's seven plus one of their initiatives are, which is, yeah, okay. Uh, Dev Wolf number one, and Dev Wolf number two. Um. Um. So, that one's definitely not going first. And that one is also not going first. Yes. Okay. So, uh, but it's, so it's top of the round.

[00:36:38] Or, sorry, top of the round, top of the scene. So. That's a surprise attack. That was a surprise attack. So he can do something. That was a surprise attack. So you have another attack right now. As one of them has, there's, it's Y-hand, there's this giant fucking sword out. And the other one has a, has a, uh, has a claw, one claw, like, ready to do a slash, and the other one is holding a Luger, ask your question. Since I have two weapon fighting and I use unarmed attacks. Yeah. Can I use cleave twice?

[00:37:05] Can I go, like, cleave, cleave, or does it have to be, like, punch, cleave? Or cleave, punch, or just cleave? Do you understand how cleave works? Yeah, you hit one enemy and you hit an adjacent enemy to them. Oh, oh, right, this is Pathfinder, though, so I think it works differently than the way that I know of it. Hit! Shit. Or sorry, it says two adjacent with one strike. So I can actually hit three enemies when you wrote it. Yes, but there has to be, there has to be three adjacent enemies. You can't hit, like, you can't hit one guy twice with it.

[00:37:34] You can't go, you can, you can, you can, you can do, like, using cleave. Yeah. Well, using cleave is part of a standard action, so you can only do it the ones. Okay. All right. Well, that's fine. But that was the surprise attack. Does he technically have a standard action now? This is a normal attack now. So he could do a cleave? Oh, yeah. Theoretically, yeah. He might be sacrificing his second attack, though. I don't know, like, because you have, yes. Yes. Yeah. Because he has two attacks he can use, but one of them would be more powerful than the other. Hmm, actually.

[00:38:01] But cleave allows you to make both of the attacks at your highest base attack bonus. So using cleave is better. Yes. But you can't use cleave against a single opponent. No, but there are two opponents there. So you can use cleave. Oh, I got a more fun idea. I want to throw another flask something at them. Okay. But just at them. Like, the way I want to throw it is a little in front of them so that these people aren't

[00:38:29] going to get hit by it because this is going to be bad. Fair enough. I'm going to throw an acid flask at them. Oh, that's nasty. All right. I'm going to say, get over a 15 because you're trying to not hit the, like, you're not just reckless about, like, general spot. You're trying to hit something. Uh-oh. Oh, hold on. Yeah, that's still, uh-oh. That's 12. Really? Yeah.

[00:39:00] Yeah. We got him under 10. Well, didn't you say it's a strength-based thing? I'll say this. It hits them. It hits... Oh, wait. What was it wrong? That's him just using his base attack. Okay, so the 12 hits... Doesn't hit the werewolves, but there is collateral. Yeah, he gets his strength on that. Yeah. He gets his strength. So you put your strength and your base attack on it? Base attack on it? Yeah. Or did you just put your base attack on it? Just my base attack. Well, put your plus... What is that? Four? That's 11 plus 5, which is 16.

[00:39:29] Which means that you managed to... You did it then. Yeah, you do it. I'm supposed to put my strength and my... Yeah, it's a throw attack, so it's like using a melee weapon, but you're using it as a ranged weapon. What was your first attack? Oh, no, it was fine. It passed anyway, even with my base attack bonus, but... It doesn't matter. It's split-flux. Oh, right. Yeah, that's true. They just... They just... Yeah! They passed their armor. So what do I do to them? They take acid damage. They get acid damage. So what is acid damage again? Is it like a... Acid. Reflex to like avoid it or...

[00:39:58] To avoid the fly attack. So it's a reflex for half. Okay. So... How much damage would I do with that? Two guys, six, I think? Apparently they were not expecting acid flask. Because they got like eight and... Or no, like they got ten and eight. As their reflexes. So they're not... They were not... They're like, we have the Germans. We cannot be... Oh, God! The goggles, they do not. We have the Germans. Nine.

[00:40:28] Nine acid damage. Nine. Nine acid damage. Nine. Nine. Nine. Nine. Actually, they do have damage reduction though. Ooh. Because they got damage reduction against... They have fire. Are they acid resistant? Yeah. It's everything except for silver. No. For damage reduction. Because acid is an energy type. Yeah. It's not physical damage. Like acid, cold, electric... Nope. Those are physical resistant modifiers. Fucking bullshit.

[00:40:57] The reason why acid flasks and alchemist fire are in the game are so that if you have a party that does not have a spellcaster, you can still do energy type damage. But that... That's still fucking bullshit. It gets like thematic monsters. Their thematic weakness is just as good as like... Like, it's just as shitty or like just as effective as like a piece... A glass of flat... A glass or a... A glass of acid. Yeah. It's still like... I don't know.

[00:41:26] Just still find that kind of bullshit more. No, no, no. It's expensive. Okay. Yeah. If you're going to start fighting werewolves using nothing but acid flasks, that is going to be the most pricey campaign the universe has ever seen. Okay. Fine. Still don't agree with me. It's the rules. I don't... I don't have to like it. I know. You don't have to yell at us. Yes, I do! Werewolves are going to die. Uh, no, actually they're not. No. Not right away. Nine is not.

[00:41:56] Nine is not. Now, does acid damage do prolonged damage or does it have some other kind of effect? You'd have to check. I don't... I don't... I don't know. Oh. I don't know. I know that, uh, alchemists fire... Would. Oh, burning, right? ...they have to make a catch-up or they catch on fire, but I don't know about the acid. Okay. But I'm going to say no. Mm. I'm just going to fiat that for now. Makes sense. It could be like a base acid that just does damage and then... Um, Zweinhender, though, is pissed because he's, like, burning. His furs...

[00:42:25] You smell, like, burning fur, kind of. Um, mixed in with ammonia. And he just, like, in a fear, like, roars out and just... Like, doesn't throw, but just, like, swings vertically, his Zweihender, at you. Like, across, like, like, shoulder to waist, like, in like... He's pissed? Yeah, he's just super angry at you. Are you fucking kidding me? Oh, critical fail! He's blinded by rage. He's blinded by rage. He throw...

[00:42:55] He slashes and misses in his fury and embeds the Zweihender deep in the cobblestone and can't get it out. Nice. But his buddy looks over to you... A critical fail. He's got him close up in his face. Looks to you and, like, looks at you deep in your eyes and just says... I love you. Damn you! No, he looks at you and just, like, looks at you with a grin and just, like, schlaf.

[00:43:26] Uh, for those of you at home, schlaf is German for sleep. Ah! Roll will save. Oh, gootend. Gootend. Gootend. Apparently, these werewolves have a, uh, sleep space. Or they could just be like, gootend. Good night. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Gootend. So... Gootend not. Uh, roll will save. Oh, oh, he's trying to scare me. No, no, he's glaring sleep on you. No, he's got an innate ability called sleep gaze. Oh, that's weird. That is like sleep.

[00:43:57] Oh, that's real weird, eh? Uh, what do I have to beat? Because I got a nine. Yeah, beat a twelve. Duh. I got a nine. Nine! You should probably use different dines. You fall unconscious. You're out. That's out. That's, that's, that's out for you. I passed out. For the next three minutes, apparently. Uh-oh. Three minutes? Yeah. Uh-oh. Sleep for three minutes. Standard action rouses the creature, uh, as does damage. If they hit you once, you're awake. Yeah. By the way, this is the one with the, with the luger.

[00:44:27] With the gun. And you just fell asleep. Yeah. Um. That's a problem. Roll. You guys can roll, uh, actually it's your turn now, Dave. Roll, um, sorry, uh, not Dave. Winchester. That's my last name, but close enough. Yeah, whatever. Wonder what my first name is. I wonder. Yeah. Oh, you wonder. So, roll a spot check. Say. Eighteen. Okay.

[00:44:55] So, you're dealing with this, uh, this, uh, this, um, uh, this wolf man. Yes. With the, uh, the giant sword. But then off the corner of your eye, you see some, like, uh, off the corner of your eye, you're, like, trying to keep tabs on to your friends. Yeah. And you notice that your friend goes down. Oh. So, uh, and, and there's, and one of the werewolves, um, that isn't trying to, like, pull a sword out of the, of the, of the ground. He has a gun. Um. He has a gun that's, like, aiming at, like, like, looming over his, your friend's, my, grinning with this horrible grimace.

[00:45:25] So, this. And just got the Luger, like, pointed down at him. So, this is the part where you pull out your pistol and you snap open a case and you start adding pieces. Indeed. Yes. And it takes, like, three full rounds. But, suddenly, you've got. Bang! He's dead. He's dead. Yes. You're in a tank. I built an entire tank around me. Meanwhile, his character's been Coup de Crap. Yes, of course. That was, well, you've seen Police Academy, right? Yes. Yeah. They do it in Police Academy. They build a tank? Well, not a tank, but they build artillery.

[00:45:55] Do they? I actually don't remember that. No, no, that's. He, no. Uh. The sound guy. I can't remember his name. Sound man. No. No, no, no. On the roof of the building. No, he doesn't. They don't. Let the man talk. Roof of the building. They're going in to get. And they, um. The roof to upstairs is locked. But they get in a gunfight. And the one guy pulls out a gun and he starts adding pieces. And he just keeps adding pieces. Meanwhile, the gunfight is going on. And at the end of the fight, they go to go through the door and they realize it's locked.

[00:46:23] And then they look over. And all of a sudden the door blows up. And it goes back to the guy who was building a gun. It's probably a tackle by right. I probably tackle by right. And he's got. And he's got this huge fucking mounted cannon. I hope you haven't watched that movie. I do not remember that. I don't think it's in the first one. No, it's definitely not in the first one. I've kind of watched all the movies I have. Might be three or four. I don't know. But anyway. Either way. Yes. It's not wrong. Yeah. So you can try. Now you're going to have to break out of a fight with this guy.

[00:46:54] To go like aid your friend. Or you leave your friend to die. Oh. Um. Because again, like. He. They pulled a fast. Like the guy. That one pulled a fast one on you. It was like. Sleep. Mm-hmm. And now. Oh, good. Bang. Right? That's. The Nazis. They play dirty. They're very dirty people. Okay. Okay. So you have to. You would have to roll a reflex to break out of combat. Right?

[00:47:24] Or disengage. He has to. He'd have to disengage combat to go. How far away is it? Is he in melee or is he at range? You're probably like 60, 80 feet. Oh. So you can throw a baseball at him. He was in melee. Oh. Of the guy. Yeah. Then he missed. Yeah. He would have to disengage from combat, which requires. Even. Even just turning and shooting? At him. No. No. That might not. No. If you've got line of sight, then you should be able to. Yeah. That might. Would that provoke an attack of opportunity though? Because he's not aiming at the front. Yeah. Yes. So I'd have to roll. I'd be rolling an attack. Unless.

[00:47:53] Unless one of your gunslinger things is that you don't provoke attacks of opportunity. I don't remember. Take a step back and shoot. Right? Take a step back and then fire at Gunny Gunny. That's got his. His. His. So. Part of that in my head. This is all deed stuff. I don't think there's anything in there. He's. He's. Oh. He's about ready to fucking clock me with his boy. I'd probably do up to one to seven.

[00:48:18] Well essentially what I'm wanting to do is go startling shot to purposefully miss the werewolf in front of me to make him go prone. And then. That's a standard action. Yeah. So then can I take a shot over towards him to wake him up specifically? Yeah. I'd let him roll a listen check to see if he like comes out of it from that. But yeah. Oh like shoot near me? Yeah. Yeah. Essentially. Oh. Essentially do a second startling shot. Oh. Purposely miss you. Okay. You're wearing a cowbell.

[00:48:48] He's shooting your cowbell. Oh. It needs more cowbell. More cowbell. More cowbell. More cowbell. And the only prescription is more cowbell. Indeed. Hmm. That might work. Okay. So yeah. At least it'll be. Do you want to burn some grit to do that? No. It's a. It's a. He can miss his shot. It's a zero grit thing but I have to have grit to be able to do it. Gotcha. And. I'm trying to do two of them. Yeah. But for my entire round I'm doing zero damage. Yeah. Nothing hurts.

[00:49:17] That's fair. It's just crowd control. That's. Yeah. That's all it is. I cannot do any damage this entire round. Okay. I'd love that. And so next time like the guys. Yeah. And this is using bullets. Yeah. As well. So this is your round and then the guy. So essentially it's just going to go bang in front of the. The werewolf in front of me. See hopefully this guy is. Okay. Yeah. Because if this. If this doesn't. If this doesn't stun the first werewolf. He is going to attack you next. His turn. It will stun him. Will it? It's literally just. There's no one. One grit. Yeah. Purposefully miss a creature. The creature is flat footed.

[00:49:47] There's no DC check. Oh really? It's just. Okay. On probably the guy that's aiming to gun at you. Yeah. The other one's a little distracted trying to get his fucking blade in. To put him flat footed. But that's also putting a gunshot near you. And then I have to roll a successful weapon check. Okay. Because if you want to do that. There is a gunshot being fired. Well I mean there's a lot of combat going on. Yeah. Either way. So that used two of my bullets and I did no damage. Okay. So yeah.

[00:50:17] You fire the. The one that's right next to you is like ready to like slash again. And then you fire your stunning shot. And he's like. Ah. And like basically like got him off guard. Essentially. And drops. And then you swing around and get a laugh and shoot the stunning shot on the other one. So roll your listen to see if you. Oh right. It's all perception in this one. Yeah. I'm forgetting. I'm like trying to find. Yeah. I'm trying to find. Sorry. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah. Yeah. That's our bad team. It's 25. Alright. So you black out. And then you're like. Yeah. You're back.

[00:50:46] And like the guy had a gun directly over you. But like was like startled. And he's probably like. Oh. Scheiße. Yeah. Mein Lieben. Achter Lieben. Pull out all the old quotes from like Wolfenstein 3D. I still like. Mein Lieben is just my life. Yes. My life. It's going now. Alright. So. Something's translated to English. That is. That is your turn. Yes. Um. So. On to Balthazar. Uh.

[00:51:16] Dealing with the gibbering. Also. I was going to ask this before. Yes. Considering like. I am. I live in this. In these sort of worlds. With all these creatures. I'm teleporting town. Is it safe to say I have multiple bullet types on me? Roll coincidence check. Like silver for example. Roll coincidence check. It's a very common. Roll coincidence check. High or low? Go low. See now it's your fault if I say yeah. Yeah. At least you don't feel so bad about it.

[00:51:47] I look. No you don't know. That was off the table but it would have been. It essentially just would have been higher or lower in 60s. Fuck. So I brought just standard ammo with me? Yeah. That was smart. Well you didn't really know where you were going. Yeah. I haven't fully like kitted out all the things I bring on my person at all times. I probably should. You can check and see what you can do if it's a season on you. So yeah. Bumzor. What are you doing with the Shug of? Huh?

[00:52:16] I'm going to just float up higher. And cast Snapdragon Fireworks. On who? Me. No but you can touch it. Okay. Just try and get a bunch of little fireworks fly around me. Yeah. That I can throw out. Okay. But we're in a combat thing. So having a bunch of projectors. Oh. You can throw as a free action. It's good. I think. I don't know if it actually weakens them though. Yeah. Or if it just kind of freaks them out. Mm-hmm. Okay. So you do that then.

[00:52:46] The Shoggoth starts climbing up again. Roll perception check. You carry him there? 17. Yeah. Okay. You see those werewolves that... You know those werewolves that he was trying to run up to the... To stop from getting a hold of the turret? Yep. He got a hold of the turret. And it's aimed at you. That's a problem.

[00:53:14] You couldn't have told me this at the beginning of my turn. You were busy. That's fine. I'm going to throw a Snapdragon Firework at him. Okay. Snapdragon Firefly. Reflex actually to see who fires first. Oh, it's beautiful. That might not actually be any good. 17? 25. 25. Okay, they go first. Okay. Mm-hmm.

[00:53:45] So... Does he hit you, though? Yeah, does he hit... Yeah, will it actually hit you, or will it hit the building near you? Okay. There... Okay. That is going to be... I doubt even a 16 hits you. Yeah. So a giant... The turret goes off and fires, and you just see whiz past you a shell.

[00:54:15] And it just obliterates the second floor of a building. Right next to you. Oh. Oh, this is perfect. I kind of leaned my shoulder back so that I could watch it go past. And then I'm going to look back at it, and just point to my finger, and have one tiny little dinky thing fly straight at them and turn around and fly away. Well, float away. I don't really fly. Okay. Oh, okay. So what's your... So then it can detonate behind me. Yeah.

[00:54:43] Very much like Iron Man did to the tank in the first Iron Man movie. Oh, yeah! Wow. Okay, well, he fires that dinky little wrist rocket at it. Yeah. Okay. Nice. Fair. So they are kind of just looming around, those guys. Yeah, that was a more functional version of the X-Wife. Yes. Is that what it was called? No. So everybody on that gun is going to take... ...miniature ballistic missile and call it the X-Wife.

[00:55:12] Three fire damage. Okay. Nice. And they have to give me a reflex stage. You could bust the bunker underneath the bunker you just busted. That was his pitch for it. Interesting. I think it's reflex. It destroys everything. It takes away everything. I call it the X-Wife. That takes everything. Wow. But Stark actually had a more functional, smaller version of it in the first movie. Yeah. It's reflex. Okay.

[00:55:41] One of them's got 20, and the other one has 13. Well, the 20 succeeds. The 13 does not. Okay. So the one that does not is Gates. Okay. That was the one that was controlling where the current moved. We'll take it. What do you take? That one, yeah.

[00:56:06] So it's still positioned toward you, but the one that's moving, it will no longer be moving toward anywhere else. So, and that, sorry, how much damage do they take? Three. Three? Okay. Each. Fair enough. Okay. All right. So, well, the one that's, yeah, basically they, that is their turn. All right.

[00:56:35] So now it's on to... To... Undun. Chris. Undun, yes. Sweet. Undun, you wake up. You're no longer asleep. Your sleep spell has been unduned. And the guy, one of the wolves is still trying to get his stupid sword out of the round. He'll get it at the end of this turn. And then the other one is days from a gunshot, a stray gunshot he thought almost hit him. So I'd have to spend a move action getting up because I'm prone, right? Yeah. Mm-hmm. So I'll do that. Okay.

[00:57:04] Unless you get to use some sick, like, launching dropkick into their face or something. No, no. I'm just going to get up. They're going to regret that because I'm going to throw a vial of the alchemist fire. I don't know. You just have a vial. Surprise! Cafe! I have more. I have more vials! Sorry. No one's like, sing us a song, you're the shadow man. It's like, swing us a bomb, you're the potion man. Sling us a bomb.

[00:57:34] Yeah, sling us a bomb. So, yeah. 10 for that, too? Honestly, it's all the same shit. Now, here's the problem. You're right in mid-stem, too. So you're going to be in the area of that. Yeah, you're going to have to make a reek-like save or catch fire yourself. Okay. That's fine. Also, the kids are just on the... The kids in the group of the woman who are still deafened and whatnot, they're, like, still just on the fringes.

[00:58:01] Okay, well, we're all going to get consumed by the fire. As a Nephilim, what are your resistances? Yeah, what are your resistances? Don't you have... Acid, cold, electric. Not a fire. Do you have more acid? Oh, yeah. Because I'm just saying, you could put the vials in your fists and just the sponge. Oh. Yeah. Really? Yeah. Why not? Okay. Like, open palm... Basically, just, like, improv open palm fist. Yeah.

[00:58:32] And I get... Do I still get... Do I get two attacks with that? Or just... Also, just... You did do a move action to get up. So does that... Yeah, it's a move action to get up, so you only have a standard action. So one attack. Does their poison tick off right now? At the start of his round? The poison from previous... Oh, no, it's not poison, it's acid, so it just does... It doesn't... Oh, it's not as damage over time? No, it's just a corrosive kind of instant. Oh, I thought it was damage over time. Yeah, I just... Yeah, no, I just... Until we figure it out later, I'm just saying that it's a one-hit thing. Oh.

[00:59:02] I have spells that do acid over time, but I don't know if that... I thought that's acid's thing. I don't know. It's fire's thing. It's poison's thing. Hang on, I'll just... No, it's fine. Acid. Hang on. I'm just surprised, that's all. Acid. According to... Well, the spittle, which is also an acid attack. It just says, like, on a successful target, like, they do 1d4 rounds, they're blinded.

[00:59:31] Unless a 4d6 show. Yeah, it's just a blinding thing. That's alright. That's fine. We'll find out later. Yeah. I'm gonna punch, uh, um... Mr. Schnauzer in the face. Which one? The one with the, uh... Luger? The Luger. Oh, okay. Just open bomb splash. Yeah, so it would just be an unarmed attack, then? An unarmed roll? Or... I guess so, yeah. Drank. Okay.

[00:59:58] That's fine, because my attack bonus is plus 10 on that. 24 hit. 24? Um, yeah, that hits. So would it be unarmed damage and acid damage? Yeah. Yep. Yeah, your fist plus the acid. Mm-hmm. So... Let's see what we got here. Uh, 9... Yeah, 9 acid damage, 4 physical damage. 9 acid damage, 4 physical.

[01:00:29] 13 total. 13? Uh, that's you, right? Um, 13... To Lugerman. Lugerman is dead. Or Lugerman is dead. Oh, awesome. He just... You melt his face. It cut... It burns... The acid burns through... His jaw goes up, and then you just see, like, him, like, starts silently screaming as his tongue, his flesh, his... Basically, all... Up down to his bone. His skull, basically, and his eyes just melt away. How is that possible? How did I kill him? Shh!

[01:00:59] You had an acid flask, like, break to the face. You've also hit him with acid once already. Yeah. Oh, okay. This is the second acid attack. Oh, okay, that's right. Plus physical damage. Yeah. But the other one... I think Chris was being very generous, because I don't think he took into account the damage reduction from your physical damage. Oh, that's true, yeah. Um, what was the damage? Four physical damage. Yeah, because that would actually be negated, then. The entirety of four? Yeah. Because they're damage reduction. It's damage reduction five.

[01:01:27] Oh, right, because you're not using the rules I made up for your own. So it's not... This is for... I'm using the path. I'm just using the path. Oh, no, no, no. That's fine. I just always found that the werewolves were very underpowered in D&D and Path. Oh, yeah. So Dave and I rewrote them. Gotcha. But yeah, so yeah, I'll say that one dies. That one dies. Okay. Or at least he's very... He's basically... His face is just blown off. But his bigger, tougher crack is still there. Yeah, the bigger, tougher guy with the Zweihander is... Now, the Zweihander is now out of the rock as this happens. Hmm.

[01:01:57] Hmm. Now, you... Oh, yeah, you can only do... He got up and attacked. Also, you should probably tell the random people to run away. Yeah. Also, that's a reaction. Yeah. Women, run! Run! Just the women. Run! Stay there. You have to wait to see this. They start skirting away. Skirting. They're not putting on skirts for the reason to leave. Yeah. Anyway. Top of the round. Brick falls, you die. Cool.

[01:02:27] No. What? A piano falls from the sky. Winchester, what are you doing? Uh, your friend is back up on his feet and he looks like he's dealing with things. Doing a little bit better. Also, now you have, uh, another... Your own Zweihander werewolf to deal with. I do. Alright. Um... Zweihander. Zweihander.

[01:02:59] That's a Zweihander. Zweihander. And they called it Zweihander. Hey. It's basically a settingless, uh, version of the same system that, uh, the old Warhammer universe, uh, perilous, like, grim and perilous adventures used to have. But, but, it's, since it's like, all the names filed off, basically they can... Shfiled off. Yeah. Shfiled off. Yeah. Shfiled them off.

[01:03:24] You can run whatever Warhammer, like, scenario or whatever, like, grim, like, fantasy setting you want to run in it. Not just Warhammer. But anyway. Um, but yeah, I learned what his Zweihander was because of that. He has a drink on, so. Yay. Yay. Um, so yeah, what are you doing there? Uh, you got one werewolf on you and it looks like the ones up on the turrets... Are shooting it. Or are in control of it. That they are. Alright. Well.

[01:03:53] I will attempt a, um... I'll attempt a deadshot on this guy. Okay. Make as many attack rolls as I have to use attack bonuses. If any hit, it hits. Cool. So, I have... I can make two, so I'm going to do just two rolls. Okay. If either of them hit, then this attack hits, essentially. Oh, so both of them hit. Or the whole attack hits. Is the whole hits?

[01:04:21] Yeah, like, I'm using both of my base attack bonuses to do the shot. To essentially put them into one shot to do more damage with the one shot. Okay. And it uses one grip. Four hand action. And... That's... 13 plus... That's 20? 20 hits. Okay. Okay. Oh. And then it doesn't matter, because if one hits, they both hit. So... Both hit. Um... Oh, wait. Each hit adds another set of damage.

[01:04:51] Okay. So, uh... 12? So you add another... Does 12 hit? Uh, 12 will not hit. Okay. So, I hit him once, then. Fuck. If any hit, it hits. Each... So, if I hit with that, then I would have been able to do extra damage. But... I can't. Or I... I... It didn't work. So, technically, I just hit him once. Okay. So, I guess that's still bird's crit, though? Because I attempted it?

[01:05:21] Yeah. Okay. So, I hit him once with... What do you think? What do you think? 6? Okay. Um... The bullet shoots into him. Uh... And he kind of shrugs it off. Mm-hmm. Because... Damage reduction. Mm-hmm. That's why I tried that. Yep. Uh... He just kind of, like, looks at his shoulder shot.

[01:05:50] Or the shot you do. And it's just like... And then he raises his sword. Fantastic. So... And somehow misses again, I guess. 8. 8. He's too cocky. Can Holy Water hurt them? No. They're not undead, right? No, they're not undead. It's silver. Okay. So, yeah. He misses again. Apparently, he goes to raise his sword. And, like, the bullet...

[01:06:17] Your bullet shot him, like, apart in, like, the muscle tissue that's... Though it's trying to heal it. It's still, like... Like... Ah! And, like, basically gives him... Like, gave him, like, muscle pains. Sure. We'll go with that. Weakened his muscles to, like... Uh... For his strike. So, misses. He got sloppy and arrogant. Okay. Uh... And then it is, uh... Aaron's turn. Sorry. Balthazar. Shoggoth is still looming for you. And now you have...

[01:06:45] A turret aimed, like... In your vicinity. Okay. Alright. Don't really have anything that can handle them both at once. I will say that, um... The one were... You do see that the one werewolf is yelling at the dazed one to unload... To reload the turret.

[01:07:14] First of all, I'm going to start off by launching another, uh... Fire... Or dragon snap? Snap dragon. Yeah. Snap dragon firework at them. Okay. So, roll there. Roll for them to be stunned. Yep. Wow. Thanks. Partially hard. Yeah. Uh... That's going to be... That was a reflex? Yeah. Uh... That's going to... Yeah, that's going to be a 25, and the other one was a 14 plus 6. 20.

[01:07:43] Okay, so that's a success on both. Yeah. But they still have to spend this round to reloading the turret. Or the gun. Well, they take 3 and 4 damage. 3 and 4 damage? Okay. And that is technically magic, so I'll let that... Yeah. Well, it's straight fire damage. Oh! Oh! If it's fire damage, do they not have to do a reflex? Uh... They don't have energy resistance. They have damage reduction. Oh! Damage reduction is only against physical attacks. Right.

[01:08:13] And energy resistance is only against specific energy types. Right. But if you hit them with fire... Yep. Um... Alright, so... Oh! If I hit them with fire, then it works fine. Oh! I forgot. That werewolf was flat-footed. If he doesn't have... If he didn't have his dex, would that second of shot hit? Flat-footed? Flat-footed? On fire, then? His flat-footed was 13. Not with this. I think you rolled a 12. Didn't you? I don't remember.

[01:09:05] I don't remember. I'm gonna cast Ice Slick on the gun. Okay. So anytime they want to stay in there, they have to make a balance check or fall prone. Yep. Or a climb check to embed their claws into the ground. Sure. I'll accept that. But they also get to take ice damage. Yeah. That's fair. So one takes 2 and 5 is 7. And the other takes 4 and 5 is 9.

[01:09:35] Okay. So that should prevent them from getting their gun reloaded. Okay. I'm gonna actually do one thing. Okay. That one survives. Because that was almost half damage. Alright. And then there... So that's your turn, though? Yep. Okay.

[01:10:05] The Shoggoth is going to lurch back. He has gotten up to your level, and he's gonna try and lurch back at you. So... Nat 20. Oh. Roll to confirm. Yep. 15 plus... 15 plus... 7. That's 22. No.

[01:10:35] No? Doesn't hit? Okay. So it doesn't do double damage, but it is a successful bite. Yeah. Which is what... Which will then provoke a grapple. As it is... Anamorphous blob trying to grapple you. Okay. So the bite first, though. Oh, there it is. Okay. Yeah.

[01:11:03] So it's a D4 plus grab... Plus grapple. Or D4 plus grabbed. So... Two damage. Oddly enough. But it has you... In the midair. It's basically now floating in air with you. Or maybe... Maybe part of it is like... I'm gonna use this reaction to drop. Okay. So it's falling with you, then. That's okay.

[01:11:32] It's falling under me. That's true. That's true. That won't hurt... That won't hurt... That won't hurt... Yeah. Yeah. I'm 30 feet up. Yeah. So the first 10 negates, but...

[01:12:02] 2d6. Fall damage. And you fall onto some cushioned... 10. 10 damage? Damn. All right. It is not doing very well. Most of its eyes are poked out, but... It is still grabbed you. You basically jumped... Fell into the most dangerous... Tramp... One of those cushions that firefighters used for people to jump. You fell into one... You basically landed in the most dangerous version of that.

[01:12:32] The stunt pillow. And roll grapple. Okay. Okay. Wait. Do I? No, I roll against your... Yeah. So I roll against yours. So what is your CMD? 19. It is... 18. So... Yeah. It rolls 18 against your CMD. So... So as I fall, I hit the ground and I manage to slide... Off. Through it. Slide off of... What?

[01:13:01] Slide down one of its tongues. Ew. Oh, I totally Legolas'd that shit. And it just like kind of... It's still able to move, but not very quickly. It can't see. So it's basically going off blind sense. Which probably would have been doing anyway. And you do see... Actually, now that you're on the ground floor again... The battle is going in favor of the humans... The normal... The regular... The citizens. The citizens?

[01:13:31] Yes. The handful of the wolves... It seems actually the wolves are the most prominent ones. The... These dark gray skinned dwarfish creatures are actually either dead or like most of them are running back down into their holes. Especially... There is still a... One last... There is actually a Shoggoth farther in the city. And the turrets are... But some of the turrets are dealing with it.

[01:14:02] Um... So yeah, really it's just the ones that are up on the turret that you ice licked. The one he's dealing with, the one that he's dealing with. Um... And then you're gurgling... Peppering Mouthers on Shoggoth. Are there any in the turret? Oh, the turret... There's still two in the turret. They're just now trying to deal with all the ice that's there. Yeah. So, uh... Next person is... Chris? Yeah! Sorry, uh... Undun. Um...

[01:14:31] You have one werewolf with a Zweihandler... Uh... Looking at you. Ready to, uh... Attack you. I'm gonna grab another acid flask. Punching his fur! How? Uh... As of the days! Three more! Three more. Damn. Uh... Keep in mind that you do have to roll the acid damage for yourself. I did, yeah. It was over your threshold. Cause I did, yeah. I rolled a nine and I have a resistance of five so I got four damage. Okay. Yeah. Okay, so he's taking...

[01:15:01] I took... Yeah, I took a count. I was like, oh yeah, that's right. I probably... I got acid in my hand and I'm just like... Couldn't possibly take any damage from that. No. Ooh. That was the first... That was the first punch. That was a 14 so that missed. Yeah. Uh... I'm gonna punch again. Okay. I'll say that basically he like ducks. Like he misses his like... Hey, get back here. Like you're just trying to... Like eat this acid! Let's probably get one of the chance. He misses me. Uh... 22? Now he's doing his offhand. 22? We'll hit him.

[01:15:31] He's got them duct tape to his feet so he can spin kick. Yeah, that was your uh... What's their damage reduction for physical attacks? What? What's their damage reduction for physical attacks? Five. Oh shit. But it's an energy one, yeah. Oh right, yeah. The acid is. Not your fists. So I have... Eight physical damage, so three. Okay. And... Seven acid damage. Okay. Which is two to me. How much damage is that? Uh... Uh... Three plus seven to ten.

[01:16:02] Ten? Okay. Uh... He's not doing too good. Uh... He's definitely more... He's doing better than his buddy, but he's not looking... Not looking as... Uh... Any... Oh wow. He's still about like... Better off than his buddy, but he's not looking any better than his buddy. He's looking pretty shit. He looks like... There is some of his skin and flesh is sloughing off a bit. Yeah. You can smell it. Um... And he just... Again, in one... Like... Again, one last desperate, angry, like rage-induced strike, he's going to attack you with his one. Hopefully he misses.

[01:16:33] Uh... That is going to be... A no. 21. Nope. That misses you? Okay. My major armor is 22. Alright. Um... Yeah, it goes... Basically, like, tries to do, like, a helicopter maneuver. Like, in rage. Just like... Like... Actually, question... Probably ruining... I might fuck myself here. But, um... Whenever you get put to sleep, does your mage armor go away? No. Yes! It's a timed thing. It's based on my power, not on your sleep cycle. Sweet.

[01:17:03] Yeah. That's awesome. Yeah, he basically just... Again, uh... He swings wide, because... With his rage. So... Um... Next person... Is, uh... Uh... Waeland. Would be, uh... Waeland. Mm-hmm. What are you doing? Spivehander werewolf is still, uh... There. Yeah. I could have gunned one of the dogs' mouths and just make him eat the bullet. Eat this! Coup de gras! I need to feed your brain! The bullet isn't silver, so it wouldn't entirely kill him.

[01:17:33] It'd fire a fire. It hurt like a bitch, right? It hurt like a bitch, but it wouldn't kill him. It'd be like shooting the Incredible Hulk in the eye. It wouldn't really do much, but it would fucking hurt, I imagine. Right? Yeah, he's not like Superman who can just take a bullet to the eye. Fucking ridiculous bullshit scene. It's awesome as hell, but it's bullshit. Aw. I still like Shazam's like, I'm bulletproof. You're dead. I just like, he's like, he went from smiling to like, you're dead. This is serious.

[01:18:03] Sorry about the window. You're welcome for not getting robbed. Hey, what's up? I'm a superhero. Okay, cool, right? Anyways, what are you doing? Do you have no magical-esque abilities? No, because any magical things that were going to be like specific ammo types and grenades and shit I have, but I don't have any currently. So I can basically just shoot him until he dies. Or until I die. Whichever happens first. Yep. Um.

[01:18:36] Eh. We need to make you some magical bullets. Yeah, that was the plan. Do you have any abilities that enhance other abilities? I can do Deadshot again, but that would burn my last grit. And that would make it so I could potentially do upwards of, I would do 2d10 plus 4. No. But, so far that's been useless every time I've used it. So. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Well, make a perception check.

[01:19:06] You dropped a thing. I know. Oh, okay. No, 1. I'm just going to shoot him. I've got nothing else I can do. Because you know what you could do? You could look around for one of those downed dwarf guys. Because they have crossbows that do energy damage. Yeah, look for other weapons. But you rolled a 1 on your perception. Oh, I know, I know. Um.

[01:19:36] 22? Is it hit? 22 hits. Alright. Let's see if I can hurt him. 0, 10? Yeah, 0 is 10. So that's 5 damage. No. Oh, sorry, yeah. Minus 5, though. But yeah. Damage reduction. 10 plus what? Yeah, so it's 7. 7. Okay, cool. Oh! Use that.

[01:20:10] Magical V still has to roll against losing half their health, right? Or half their current health on attack? Yeah. Unless they're immune to critical hits, or they don't have a constitution score. They have to do that. You brain him. Oh, because you rolled a 1? Yeah. He failed on saving throws. It was right in the eye. Saving throws. And he's like... And he just falls. Like, laughing, he just falls. Like, he... Like, I think I was the cockiest, least accurate guy I've ever seen in my life. Weird.

[01:20:39] And he was a Nazi, too. Yeah, that's weird. Fuck. Anyway, so you finished that guy off. By the way, yeah, you do see, they straight up have, like, the Nazi armbands. Mm-hmm. These are Nazi... These are legitimate... For you, as a person, you might... Yeah, that's true. ...in modern reality, this is legitimately a Nazi werewolf. What fucking hellscape have you guys gotten yourselves into? That's a weird... Well, is it a full moon now? No, that's the other thing.

[01:21:09] So then it's more like a Nazi wolfman. Hmm? It's more like a Nazi wolfman. Basically, yeah. Well, we'll get into that. Is it daytime? No, it's actually, like, dark. Oh, okay. The lights of the city are what's making it seem kind of, like, well-lit. Tell me that earlier. There. I need to know whether or not it's dark at all. Okay, sorry. Yeah. I mean, it wouldn't change any of the outcomes so far, but... You look up and you see that those guys, those wolfmen that are up on the turret, are trying

[01:21:39] to bang ice off of the controls. And it looks like they're trying to move the turret toward the other turrets that are dealing with the Shagoth. Okay. I guess my move action is reloading and going up the stairs. Okay. That'll be your turn. So you'll be halfway up the stairs. Or up... You'll be up the main set of stairs, and there'll be a utility ladder to get up to the rest of it. Okay. And then next one is Balthazar. You too. Behind you is a pathetic-looking Shagoth.

[01:22:08] Like, it's trying to lick you to death. Like, with the tip of the tongue that you just slid off of. I'm just going to float straight back upwards again. When I'm about 30 feet up, I'm going to throw another Snapdragon firework at it. Okay. It takes four. It dies. I figured as much. It actually catches fire and starts melting. Or starts burning.

[01:22:33] It's like one of those Fallout 4 sequences where you just get that one shot, and the thing just starts torching to ash from laser blast. So as I come level with the gun, I'm going to shout out... Hey, Cujo! It gets the attention, at least. They may not understand the reference, but... Okay. It's out of their... That's way after their... Yeah, this is set... Also, this is like 1950. Roughly the 1950s. The time period.

[01:23:03] When did that movie come in? In 1980s. The book came out in 1970s. Okay. Balthazar's Hyperborean Hadouken. Isn't that just freezing? In German. Isn't that just freezing? Ah! Yeah. Alright, roll your check. You're just shooting the one of the gunner? Yes. Okay. Natural 20. Damn. Roll it for... That'll be...

[01:23:31] Sorry, don't check these numbers much. 19. Touch attack. 19? Yeah. Touch attack will hit him. Okay. I love it when there's lots of dice. 10. 15. 18. He freezes and fall... And like... Freezes like a sub-zero victim. And then falls...

[01:24:01] Falls off the seething and off the rampart. And just shatters. Excellent. His buddy howls. And looks at you and pulls out a Luger. Is that a gun the whole time? Yeah. They're not... Like, they're soldiers. They're dogs of war. But um... Ha ha. I make a funny two. I'm sure. Alright, so he's gonna fire. Ooh. Okay. Uh, that is going to be... 24.

[01:24:31] That would technically hit, but... Deflect. Damn. Where's the deflecting to? Up. Okay. Fair enough. Directly down into a small trap. It was like... Ha ha! Bing! But I was like... Bang! Bing! Deflect it back into his own face. It looks so dangerous. I was trying to save tragedy from happening. You vaguely hear, like... Over the winds and like the... The buffeted sounds of battle beneath you. You just hear like from him. Meow. Meow.

[01:25:02] And then you hear somebody in the distance. Give me a drink. In the far, far, far distance go... I just got shot! Or just repair something. Yeah. Um... So... Next up is... Uh... Ungun. Ooh. Uh... There's still one of them left. He is still looking... He's looking haggard and harrowed as hell. But he's still got that Zweihander. He just wants to kill you with that... With that sword.

[01:25:30] So I'm gonna punch him in the face again with acid. Okay. This seems to be my... My saving grace today against these damn bastards. Uh... That's 28. So that's a hand? You kill him. Well, how... Can you do... Can you do less than three? No. Easy. Well, I could. With the damage reduction. I could. Let's find out. I could. I really could.

[01:26:02] But you didn't. So that's a zero... Yeah. He did! Yeah, he just... It gargles the acid. It's like drinking... It's like he drank Drano. And he just... Stucked it in his mouth. You rammed him right to the back. And then you clamped his jaw shut and tilted his head back. There you go. He just held him there until the foam started coming up between his lips. Buckleys. And then it... The blood started... And then the blood started gushing between his legs. But it worked. Because it burned right through. In this case, I would say it tastes awful and it works.

[01:26:33] Uh... Alright, so you have dealt that damage. Um... And, uh... Yeah, you just see that there's one last... Basically, there's at least three... Have the innocents ran away, yeah? Yes. All... Basically, all the civvies are gone from the area. We did allow the civilians to escape. Okay. Um... The militia of the city itself are basically still dealing with about four or more werewolves. Um... That are basically hunkered down behind cover and using guns. Those are pussies. Uh... But there is one...

[01:27:03] There is one still up at the turret. Mm-hmm. Trying to get it positioned and then trying to jump... And then it's getting ready to jump into the seat to fire at the, uh... At the militia down below. So... Where's the van? The van? Uh... He's gotta give me a, uh... Balance check. Oh, yeah. Sorry, climb check, actually. Okay. What? Because he's using his claws. Or I guess that would be acrobatics. Because that's what that is in the balance of sitting. Oh. Oh, that's gonna be...

[01:27:33] 20... Maybe not 20. It doesn't matter. It's adequate. No, 20 actually was adequate. Yeah. Okay. It's adequate. Yeah. Yeah, he basically... The check is really low. Yeah. Um... But he manages to get up... He's moved this... He was able to move it, load it up, and then his friend died. Mm-hmm. So he jumped into the seat and aimed for the militia crew. Um... But it's now at, uh... Uh... It is... Uh... Sorry, not Dave's. Winchester's turn. Mm-hmm.

[01:28:03] So you're up at the utility ladder, and you see that he's positioned for the gun. Okay. How small is this area? Hmm? How small is this area? So... Is it just like... Climbing up onto the utility thing, you're literally looking at, like, a 10 by... Like, a 10 foot across... It's 10 feet across. Yeah. You should totally do it, too. This is shit. Shoot down the barrel. This gun's barely mind.

[01:28:27] I would give you a grit if you jumped off the ladder and just aimed for the barrel. I would give you a grit. Oh, oh, like, the barrel's there, and I'm climbing up a ladder? Bear in mind, you're... I thought I was coming up behind you. Yeah, here's the thing. You're 30 feet above the... Above the street. Because of the ladder and stuff like that. Or... You're... An indeterminate height above the ladder. You're like... But... So you would be taking some fall damage after your shot. Mm-hmm.

[01:28:55] But if you did this, I would definitely give you a grit to... In the... For the attempt of trying to look cool and shoot through the... Down the barrel of the gun and set it off before it goes off. Hmm. You are definitely in a pulp cause it to backfire. I don't need grit, but I kind of want to do it anyways. Fortune favors the bolt. Yeah. Don't drop an ATV on me. What? Uh, one of our games. Oh, okay. I told Eric, fortune favors the bolt.

[01:29:24] And then I jumped out of an aircraft onto a giant monster. And then... Eric, instead of jumping out after me... Because we had wingsuits! We could totally do this! Okay. Instead of jumping out after me, he cuts the ties on the ATV and drops it on the monster and drops it on me. Oh, that's nice. That's real nice. Don't drop an ATV on me. Alright, um... So it's within jumping distance, I suppose. Oh, yeah. You know, you'd have to, uh... Really? I'm... I'm...

[01:29:54] I'm... Yeah, roll acrobatics. See if I just jump off to my ATV. Or to my injure. Yeah. Roll... Roll... Roll... Roll acrobatics. See if I do that first. Alright. Fuck it. Actually... Natural 20. Natural 20? Okay, so yeah, you definitely get it perfectly. You jump in the perfect, like, it's the perfect arc, the perfect swing. You even got the right spin on yourself? Yeah, exactly. So that you come around. Time slows! Allowing you to target. I enable bullet time. Yeah.

[01:30:23] As the gunslinger, you enable bullet time. Indeed. You enable... What is it? What's that? The Red Dead Redemption. The Deadeye. Oh, yeah. Deadeye, yeah. Yeah. That's the best. It's high. It is literally a 10-foot square. The barrel is in a 10-foot square. Oh, okay. It is a non-moving object and it is right there. So can I not miss it? Or should I... Roll to hit... Make sure...

[01:30:52] You still have to roll to hit it. Okay, cool. But I'm just saying, it's a 10... Just for the hell of it, I'm going to do dead shot. Try to shoot with both barrels. All right. I'm going to essentially come around with a buckler gun. Just try to blast it. Nice. Okay, I'm not going to use both dice, because that worked terribly. Last time. 13 for one. 13 will hit. All right. Or 13 will hit. We'll get that spot. And this one's higher. Okay. So I hit with both. Yep. Do I have to roll damage? Yep. Okay. Just to see.

[01:31:22] Two 10s. That's 10. I don't know if the bonus is... Hang on. Each hit adds another set of damage dice. Before damage multipliers, damage modifiers are not increased. So the damage modifier is the same. Yes. So that is 14 damage. Okay. So I will just take some... I'm going to roll 4d6. I may have destroyed the entire thing. It's fine. It's fine.

[01:31:52] I need another d4. Or sorry, I need another d6. This one. Those are two 6s, a 4, and a 3. So 12, 16, 19 damage. 19 damage. What's half of 19? 8. Uh, 8-ish. No. Half of... 9 and a half. Oh, sorry. Yeah, 9. Roll reflex. Me? Yep.

[01:32:22] Okay. I can do that. Uh... All right. That's 16. 20? You take half of the 8 damage. Okay. As the... As you hear... You fire the shot as he's about to fire, and all you hear before a very big kaboom is, My lip! Of course you can scream my lip. As the turret goes off, because you just detonated the shell inside the canister. Yes.

[01:32:52] And shrapnel goes flying across the market. Roll... Somebody roll me... Actually, you roll me a coincidence check. Okay. Well, so did you say that's 7 or 8 damage? Uh, that was... It was 8 damage. My... It was half 8. Half... Yeah. 8 damage. Yeah. Okay. Okay. So coincidence? Coincidence check. Yeah. Okay. Uh... High or low? Low again. Okay. Fuck. Okay.

[01:33:21] That'd be 6. Just over. The barrel swings past you. Okay. And kills one of the werewolves that the militiamen were fighting. Oh. You would've killed more if you'd rolled a better on your Gwensel's check. Okay. Um... So the turret... Yeah. Basically, you destroy the turret. You take a grid. Mm-hmm. You get that grid. Uh... And also, you land...

[01:33:46] Because of your acrobatics, you land on the corpse of the Shagok that he killed. Oh, nice. Thus not doing any fall damage. But you still took shrapnel damage. I'm fine with that. Or concussion damage from the... The blast. Yeah. But, uh... Yeah. Um... The... The three werewolves... The three remaining werewolves... Uh... There's a bit of a quiet. Aside from, you know, the guns trying to kill that last Shagok author. It's doing pretty well. Uh... They're doing pretty well. They end up killing it up.

[01:34:16] But, uh... About three blocks farther from you guys. Mm-hmm. Um... But the three werewolves... Everything kind of gets quiet for a second. And you just hear the werewolves start, like, howling. And then they start running back for their metal, um... Mole machine. And you see them... And you just see them start drilling. Like, the machine just draws in back into the earth. Mm-hmm. Um... Okay. And the day is won. For now. Um... There's at least a dozen militiamen. Uh...

[01:34:46] And Juan. Uh... And there are a bunch of civvies kind of looking out of, like, window... Barricaded windows and whatnot. Uh... Seeing if the battle's over and some of that. And they start cheering. Uh... Because you guys helped win the day. Oh, Montague! Uh... Juan comes up to you, uh... With the... Some of the militiamen. And it's like... Uh... That was... That was quite a show, uh... Folks. Uh... Gents. Um... Where are you from?

[01:35:17] All over the place. Freelances, then. Sure. How do you... Like, uh... How the... The higher-ups are gonna wanna talk to you folks. Um... Well... I suppose they can talk to us. But... First... We need to, uh... Just go down to our wagon real quick. Make sure that everything's still intact. Real coincidence. Thanks for reminding me. Shit!

[01:35:48] Spy! Higher low? Ha ha. Hi. Uh... 99. It's pretty high. Intact. Not barely... It... Juan's plane shielded it from shrapnel. We got more stuff. Actually, um... You see that there was actually a... A couple of guns landed there for explosions. One of the... One of the... One of those... One of those gray dwarven fellows, uh... Looked like they tried to get into your, uh... Container. Um... And was shot.

[01:36:18] And just died. Um... Dropping his stuff into your... Into your carriage. Cool. Hey, maybe that was the stray bullet that went flying. Um... So perhaps we should go loot some stuff. Yep. Um... Some of the militia guys are... Are... Are rounding up some civvies to help clear out the square. Um... A few... You hear... You hear in the background, like, a weird, like... Like a weird, like, jet stream kind of sound. Um... And then you hear... You see a glow over some of the buildings. Uh... And, uh... You hear one...

[01:36:48] Or some of the men's like... Oh, looks like they decided to use the, uh... The flamethrowers to finish off that beast. That's nice. Uh... Kill the fire. I can do that. They look at you and say, what? Yeah, I mean, I prefer ice. But I'm good with fire, too. They kind of just, like, look at you oddly and just continue working. Uh... Balthazar Romanov. I'm a motherfucking god. I'm sure you are.

[01:37:17] They just, like, just keep themselves a little bit. I'd like to point out, I had artillery shot at me and just deflected it. Yeah, you did, didn't you? I sure did. I thought that was a shooting with this luger. So everybody can roll me, um... Oh, yeah, that was the luger. Yeah. No, in the tail. In the tail. It was the artillery. Uh, what was the, uh... Is there, like, a search check or is it just perception as well on this? Oh, for looting? Yeah. Uh, I would say search check.

[01:37:46] Usually a search check. I don't see search. Uh, it's perception. Cool. It's all in perception now. Yeah. Oh, are we all rolling this way? Yeah. If you guys are looking around... For looting stuff. Uh, 21. Alright. 23. Okay. 22. Wait, hold on. 21, 22, 23, really? Uh, 25. Oh, there you go. Uh, you find, um... What's this town called? Uh, it's called Esperanza City.

[01:38:17] It's not really a town. It's more actually a legit city. It's a big industrial city. Mm-hmm. Um, uh, you find a couple of those Darrow... Or the, uh, couple of those, uh, dark gray, uh, dwarven figures. Um, the guys, like, the militia guys were calling them Darrow. Mm-hmm. Um, and, uh, you see that they are packing some kind of, like... Okay, so they are Daruger. Well, no, no, they're not Draugr. Or they're not Daruger. They're actually a...

[01:38:45] They're actually another type of dwarven. That's just what they're called. They're deep dwarves. Yeah, they're another type of deep dwarves. They're more like a mad deep dwarves. Yeah. They're the same thing. They're just the crazy version of the same thing. Yeah. Um, just so I have, like, the visual correct, are they stocky or are they thin? I will show you. Because there is actually... Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because... No, there is... I'm just... They actually aren't, uh, stocky. Well, I'm just imagining a drow without 20 years. All right, hang on. That's what I'm imagining. Think of Bill, uh... Because Drow is a dwarf.

[01:39:15] Bill Clinton. Albert Einstein meets a dwarf. Meets a great dwarf. Is kind of not far off. Black Bill Clinton. Oh, okay. There we go. Black Bill Clinton. That's a dare. Okay. Though these guys look like they're wearing a little bit more, like, militaristic armor on. Mm-hmm. They've got, like, full body, like, leathers and stuff like that. They would be stocky if they weren't so emaciated. Yeah. Well, yeah. They're lankier builds. These ones have lankier builds than normal dwarves.

[01:39:44] There you go. They look like trolls. There is actually one of them that... What did you roll, Dave? I don't fucking remember. Trolls. Trolls. Trolls. Trolls. All right. You find a larger, like, a heftier version of one of those. Yeah, 23 of those. And he was carrying a very heavy-looking crossbow with, or at least it looks like it should be

[01:40:12] a crossbow, but it has, like, metal casing, like a weird, like, look, a weird matted metal casing, almost, like, scaled, like, on where the bows would go. And there's a cartridge on the bottom of it, and there's gas canisters on the back. Okay. Okay. Um, it is, uh, basically a heavy bolter, uh, which is like a normal Darrow bolter. A heavy bolter, right. Basically, uh... No, it's a bolt-or.

[01:40:41] It's a semi-automatic bolter. An Attica. From the description, it almost sounds like a, like a, like a bolt-or from Warframe anyway, because it's got the plates. Yeah. It's like if you took a bolt-or and an Attica and kind of squish them together a little bit. Sure. I guess. And Attica's a fling on that crossbow. Gotcha. Um, but yeah, you find a heavy one with that, um, and, uh, at least, uh, uh, probably three cartridges.

[01:41:11] So what does it shoot? Uh, it has, you look at the, the very tip of the barrel is glowing a faint blue, like light blue. Mm-hmm. Um, but other than that, you don't, and the cartridges themselves, uh, he has two that are, uh, two that are glowing light blue and one that is glowing, uh, orange red or orange yellow. Okay. Um, like, like, like, like, like, basically through the, some of the, like, little peek-throughs of the actual, like, case of the bolts themselves.

[01:41:40] And which factions crossbow is this? This is the Darrow, the, the enemy ones. Darrow? Yeah. The Darrow's dominion. Darrow's? Darrow's, yes. Oh. Darrow's. Darrow's. I'll put a second or a nervous arm reason. All right. Yeah, these are basically the enemies stuff. Um, actually, you look, do you want to look, uh, as a, do you want to, do you have any, uh, what's your gunsmith, uh, or, uh, do you have any blacksmithing or anything like that? I have craft guns. Craft guns? Roll with craft guns.

[01:42:12] Fuck. Okay, it's just, yeah, it looks like a really interesting weapon maybe a little bit later. I'll examine it later. Yeah. Um, and, uh, you find, um, you, you're looking at some, through some of the, uh, the, um, uh, the werewolves. The werewolves. The wolfmen. Um, and they've, you find at least two lugers between, uh, three of them. Uh, there's this vihander. Two lugers.

[01:42:36] Um, and, uh, they all are carrying a talisman that is glowing faintly, uh, has a faintly pale glow of, uh, like a faintly pale, um, faintly glowing pale rock, um, that is carved to look like a moon crescent. With, uh, concentric circles at this, in, um, in the center pattern.

[01:43:06] Sir, how many reels did I get out of that? Uh, you find three. Cartridges. There's one in it? Uh, no. Uh, the cartridges themselves have, um, ten bolts. But there's, there's none in the gun, the gun's empty? Yeah. Oh, sorry, actually, no, the third, actually, sorry, I'm, uh, the heavy, the heavy, the heavy bolter, uh, the three cartridges the guy was wielding has 30 bolts per cartridge. 30 per? Yeah. And did you say, like, two were one and one was another?

[01:43:35] Yeah, two was one and one was the other. Okay. All right, well, I'm going to, uh, steal the, uh, the scabbard for the Zui-Hander and put it on my back so that I can have a giant-ass sword on my back. Mm-hmm. Uh, how many magazines did I find for the Lugers? Uh, you found, um, two. Two spare? Yeah. Okay. Uh, by the way, I actually have, uh, stats for the Luger if you want. Okay. It's not much different from an old pistol, really, but, um... Go ahead.

[01:44:05] Uh, the pistol is, uh, 1d8 times 4. Okay. Uh, and that is about a half for a pistol, apparently, stat-wise. Okay. Uh, I imagine it would be, like, 30, 40 feet range. Um, yeah. And the times 4 is critical. I assumed as much. Yeah. Okay.

[01:44:33] Well, it's not like I want a gun anyway, but, uh... I know somebody who might. Yep. I feel like you used some of those parts. Yep. Uh, you do also find on the Darrows, um, on at least 3 or 4 of the Darrows you find, uh, they seem to have some kind of, um, hooked blade weapon. Um, that's pretty sweet. Like, it kind of looks like a... It kind of looks like a, uh... I could make it so that, like, the hammer-wise goes sideways. Sorry. Go.

[01:45:02] It kind of looks like a bat-like club, but then at the end, there is a giant metal... Or, it looks like metal? It's kind of weird-looking metal. But it's, uh, basically this metal hook shard. Like, it kind of, uh, like, it hooks out. Mm-hmm. It's, uh, like a shard of metal. Um, and it's, like, bolted in and, like, wrapped with, like, some kind of, like, leather or cloth. Um, and on the bottom of it, there is a loop, or, like, a metal loop, uh, at the bottom of the hook that looks like it was... It has a...

[01:45:31] Like, it's used for, like, tying on. And so, basically, they'd use this to, like, throw, grapple somebody, and pull them in. I'm really just picturing a steel version of Maui's hook from Moana. It's not too far off. It's this. Again, it's that, it's... Oh, I was imagining it would be way bigger. Oh, no, it looks a little bit... Theirs is a little bit bulkier. I'm flavoring a little bit more bulkier and stuff like that, but yeah. Um, again, there's something weird about the wood and the metal. Uh, the composition of these, of their weapons. But you can't...

[01:46:01] Because of that roll, you can't really quite make it. What it is. Um, and yeah, you again, you are... Um, after, like, checking your cargo and adding a couple extra things to your cargo and your, uh, crates and whatnot, um... You are, um, uh, met by four, uh, militiamen and Juan, again. Uh, everybody seems to... This is taking over the course of, like, a couple of hours. Uh, things are, like, finally clearing up.

[01:46:30] Uh, Juan is like, uh... Well, the head-ups do want to talk to you. The strangers that helped us fend off the Darrow Dominion. All right. Mysterious strangers. Who's gonna protect our wagon? Uh, I can have some of the men keep an eye on it. Okay. I have a very strict inventory. I'll be needing your names and badge numbers. Of course. They give them. Um, they move the cart... They have you... They... With your...

[01:46:58] With your assistance, they move the cart somewhere not in the open. Or not, like, just out in the about. Because they have to now move a wingless plane out of the area. Out of the... Out of the, uh, the spot. And bring it back to the airfield. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Um, and yeah, you guys are escorted through the city. Um, they actually pull out... A, uh, motorized vehicle comes up. Uh, and you are asked to get in the back. Do I know it? It's a truck. It's a car... It's a... It's a military truck.

[01:47:28] Is it, like, from my era? It's... Or is it a... It's from, like, the 50s. Yeah, we have seen trucks similar. Yeah. There were three trucks in, uh... Oh, that's true. It's... It's... There's a canvas, like, uh, covering over the back of it. It's basically for, like, troop transport. Um, it looks like it has mods on the sides for, like, for, like, when it has to go out into the winter and out into the tundra. They'd actually have sled skis. But, um... Up in the back. Yep. Uh, so yeah, you're there with the four...

[01:47:56] With four soldiers and Juan. Juan looks, uh, like, he's... He's smiling at you guys, but also it looks like he's, like, kind of nervous a little bit. Got a tweak of nervousness to him. Um, kind of just, like, exhales a couple of times, like, as he looks at the devastation of the streets and stuff. Um, and, uh... Yeah, you guys travel through, um, basically a heavily industrial urban city. It looks very stone and ironclad.

[01:48:26] Um, there's large factories pumping smoke and, uh, smelters. Um, as you get closer into town, the temperature actually gets rather, um, bearable compared to the exterior and, like, beyond the walls. Oh, so it's getting a little hot for me. Yeah. Yeah, the temperature's rising because of all the heat from the industry that's going on.

[01:48:51] Uh, and you guys, uh, the truck stops in front of a large, um, uh, military complex. Um, big steps going up to a columned building. Um, and, uh, yeah, once you get inside, um, you are met with, uh, uh, some rather official-looking, uh, gentleman.

[01:49:15] Um, one of which steps up to, uh, uh, uh, steps up to Carter and just punches him in the face. That plane costs more than your pension, Captain. You guys just... Oh, I'm waiting to see what Juan's response to that is. Uh, he just kind of, like, takes the punch and just like... Yes, sir? Well, I... If it wasn't for that plane that cost more than my pension,

[01:49:44] we may not have had our friends here help us when before you guys closed the door. Yeah, I would like to say he, uh, he got us in here pretty, uh, expediently. Be that as it may, we'll have more talks about this, Carter. No, I really don't think you should. I mean... And who are you? Oh. Wow. Oh, God. He's just like, uh... Let's take the buckler gun off, start reloading it now.

[01:50:14] My name is Balthazar Romanoff. I am a herald of Gerald, purveyor of rare and magical artifacts, proprietor of Balthazar's bazaar and emporium. I am a knight of the blizzard, and I am your best hope for survival. Next to these two, of course. I didn't realize the Russians were... actually serious about Rasputin and his order. He has no connection with the Rasputin. No connection whatsoever.

[01:50:44] So you are from Russia, though? You're one of our Russian allies? A Russian. A Russian. There is only one Russia. Mother Russia! I'm going to cast Minor Image. Okay. And then put up an image of their earth. The soldiers behind you put their guns up at you. It's like... And then, like... But the wand's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait, it's not a spirit ball. Don't shit your pants.

[01:51:14] And they're like... Yeah, do they see... Now, their world is, like... Are you showing, like, their entire world, or just the scope of their world? Yeah. Because they're... The entirety of their world. Okay, so you basically just show a giant ice ball. Yeah. Okay. This is being your world. This... Bah! ...is how many worlds I know about. And you just, like, show, like, basically this misty, like, miasma that has, like, different worlds

[01:51:41] and flat and cubic and circular and... These are all... Trying to make... They are all built very, very similarly. George in the background just faints. He's an ultimate random guy. They all have Soviet Russia. It's weird. He's bestowing upon them his great knowledge, so they... So you're... So you're... Go back to the caves. Roll diplomacy, because you gotta, like... Like, these guys... These are military as a government. You're blowing their minds.

[01:52:11] Yeah, is this a thing? There's multiple rushes? Not quite. 28. 28. That's how many rushes there are. No, no, no. I know, I know. That's how many rushes there are. Well, no, no. I only put up how many Earths I'm aware of. Yeah, I know. So, I mean, there's really only probably two or three up there, but... Stuff. So you're... And one of them's like, so you're... A spaceman? No, and yes.

[01:52:38] So you think of space as being anything that is outside of your sky. But my space does not... Does not exist out there. It exists here. But at different... You understand radio. Yes. Okay. So... That's a frequency. Yes. Just slightly out of phase with yours. All right. Wait.

[01:53:07] Charles is going to... This way, please. And... How does he walk? Like normally. Hobbled. Okay. Well, I will walk exactly like him. Very fine. You walk to a... Again, another official... Like kind of a meeting room. But also like a lab. And you see a bunch of Darrow technology being like dissected and taken apart.

[01:53:35] And a rather crazed, like baggy-eyed looking individual. Probably in his 70s. In a lab coat working on something. And he's like, Charles, we have a situation. We have people from somewhere else. And it's like, oh yes, somewhere else. So what is all this? Oh, wait. Like other town? Like other... Other townie? Like next town? Um... Actually, I was trying to go for a little more German accent. But okay. Oh.

[01:54:05] I was kind of hoping that it was going to turn into like a Bob and Doug McKenzie accent. And he turns into being a super genius scientist. You know what? Fuck yeah. I like that idea. He's the Canadian. Hey, it's just like Stargate Atlantis. The smartest guy on that show was Canadian. Who? Stargate Atlantis. Oh yeah, he was. Um... And he was also a Canadian accent. What do we have here today? Um... They look like normal people. They look like regular people. Hey, what? Who are you? Ooh.

[01:54:35] He like pulls up like a... Can I get a sample? Can I get a sample, eh? Of me? Yeah. Are you some kind of hybrid between human and Darrow's? I don't even know what Darrow is. That's awesome being shot. You see him kind of just like offhandedly walk over to a desk with a syringe. And just like... I just need a little bit of a blood sample, eh? I just need a little blood sample. Fine. All right. I'm...

[01:55:03] Pokes you in the water and like take some blood sample. That'd be $10. Sorry, this hurts. No. And, uh... They claim to be from a world that shares our space but not this space. Oh yeah, so Paranormal Activity... Paranormal... Or Parallel Universe, eh? Yeah, no, that theory's not been... Not been proven yet. I know about that theory. It hasn't been proven yet. Well, it has now.

[01:55:33] He like looks at you guys and is like... Oh. Well, that would explain your whole like, uh... Look and, uh... Blah. And blah. And blah. And his... And his, uh... His, uh... His, uh... And... Oh yeah, it's Kadoosh, yeah. Well, um... Hmm. You might actually be able to help us. Uh...

[01:56:03] Yes, Charles, that's what he's here... That's why they were brought here. So... We already have helped you guys, technically. Well, you can help us some more if you're... You'd be so inclined. Uh... I don't know. I need to take a nap. Uh... Nine... Any more bullets? Specifically silver ones? Or anything that's not just lead? We will help you. But there are... There are conditions to our assistance. We have crates and crates and crates of... What is it? Blood oranges?

[01:56:33] Yes. Of blood... Jarred blood... Blood oranges. That, um... We have for trade. We needed in exchange for... What was it that we were after? Fuel? I don't remember. Gasoline they needed, um... And, uh... And currency. Yes. Oh yeah. And currency they didn't have a place. So you want us to just... So you're just selling. Like we'd just be... You're just selling these to get money. Well, we're merchants. That's primarily what we're here for. Did you not hear his...

[01:57:03] Um... I'm a businessman. Um... But beyond us being... Beyond me being a businessman, and these two fine, upstanding gentlemen wanting to give you assistance, they need my permission to do it. And I'm not going to give it until, you know, the proper channels have been... gone through. Which is to say, that we are hired for a fair price. I thought you were Russian. I thought you were Russian. You'd be whatever nationality he wants to be. Um... Pretty sure nobody knows where the name Balthazar comes from.

[01:57:33] Nah. Bible. He was one of the wise men. Well, um... Bible. Bible. So, um... They ask for... They agree that, like... They do have, like, uh... Things that they can trade. They can trade gas. Um... And they will... They definitely would... Uh... The town... Or at least part of the town would appreciate, uh... Some fresh fruit. Or some... Even some preserved fruit. Do we have some alcohol made out of it as well? We do indeed. Yeah.

[01:58:00] We have fresh, jarred, and alcohol versions. That would be appreciated. Uh... And you're just... You just come to different realities, or parallel realities... Trading? This is all taking place in like that. Like, basically, you guys are all, like, sitting down at, like, a meeting table, basically. They're trying to figure out what the hell... Like, how to deal with this new, like, add-on to their situation. Our town is kind of stuck. It goes... We're technically not stuck ever.

[01:58:29] For the moment, but not long. Okay. And you can't visit. Why not? Because it won't be there for long, and you could get stuck. Alright. We're seen as expendable. Hmm. Well, um... Well, sorry. Um... We're seen as expendable because I, being a master of the arcane arts, can probably find my way home anyway. Okay. And this guy can just walk through the shadow realm,

[01:58:58] so he can probably get home himself. Yeah, I can sit back pretty quick if I need to. Fair. Um... So, what can you... So, aside from, uh... These fruit stuffs, or food stuffs and... Uh... Shipments of alcohol and... Is there anything... Any other aid you can help us? We've been fighting this war for several years. Well, there's stuff that we can do to beef up your defenses a bit. And if you've got, um... How long do we have here?

[01:59:28] Uh... You're not quite sure. What kind of changes... It's never... There's never a true pattern to it. It's just, like, you guys are notified when there's a siren... A siren goes off that proves that in a couple of hours it's going to go off. Okay. We don't have any long-range transmission that we can talk with the town? Not that you've been able to... Well, you guys haven't been able to figure out... Like, find a decent amount of, like, technology to do that. Yeah. Ah, if you've got a... A teenager who's so smart that he starts causing trouble

[01:59:56] because he's bored, um... And you want to offload him somewhere, you can send him my way. Can't you call for... Uh... And in exchange, I will train them and send them back to you. Can we, like, call for the, um... The elderly guy? What? May I have heard? He's out to help us. So he can, like... Be like, hey, go get Betonius. He has all the... All laughs. Wrong location. That's the wrong location. That's the wrong setting.

[02:00:26] Wrong... Wrong's part of the setting. He's not... He's far away. But that's Palthazar. Yeah, but Palthazar isn't really that friendly with Nara, let's have... That's your character. Yeah. We're not really friendly. We try to talk with Nara. He's... He likes you. He just likes... He likes you like a toy. He likes to talk with you. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. You're one of his favorite playthings. What? We can do some things to beef up your defenses and if you send a young person to train under me for a while, give him some time, I can send them back to you

[02:00:55] and they can continue beefing up your defenses over time. Well, um... As a wizard. Roll another diplomacy check? Yeah, that's an 18. That's still not bad. Um... Yeah, I get a plus 10. I rolled an 8. Oh, okay. Um... Well, um... Carter, don't you have a younger brother that's, uh... not... That's been trying to, uh... That's been a little delinquent lately?

[02:01:25] It's like... And he's like, yeah, yeah, uh... Dmitry. Uh, Dmitry Carter. Oh, really? Yeah, he was named after a friend of the family. Nice. Some... Some Russian surgeon who died. Dmitry. Strong Russian name. I like it. Common Russian name. Uh, like, you're... Well, like, how long... Like, are you guys gonna be, like, taking him with you for... Like, like, when are you guys gonna be

[02:01:54] coming back this way? Um, well... He is flesh and blood. Uh, no and yes. Yes. Uh... It's not an answer. We cannot... It's an answer. It's just a poor one. Yeah. We likely will not be coming back this way. However, I am wizard. He is shadow guy. Thanks. Between the two of us, we can get somebody back here.

[02:02:26] Roll a diplomacy. Because you are literally telling somebody to let their... To lend your... Their brother. Lend. To the cause. Pretty one. All right, yeah. And it's like, yeah, I'm sure Dimitri could... Well, Dimitri could use some discipline and you've definitely proven you're willing to help us and your power is crazy. Like, straight out of a pulp novel. Did you see him flying earlier? Yeah, yeah. Seriously. Floating. Seriously, General. He cannot fly you. Oh, sorry.

[02:02:54] General, he was legitimately 30 feet in the air fighting one of the Shoggoths. And I was like, really? Yeah. Yeah. At this point... I'll pop up a foot in the air. Yeah. Just a foot. You've heard it on a firecracker. At this point, though, a radio crack... Yeah, I can show you a firecracker, too. A radio crackles in the lab. And you see Charles run over to it and start listening in through some headphones. He's like, General, we found... We got the signal again. He's like,

[02:03:25] Excellent. Let's hope our boys actually... So our boys manage to get the job done. You may actually be able to help us with something. We put... The last attack, one of our boys managed to put a transceiver into one of the mulling transports that the fucking Nazis put in there. Are you familiar with... Are you aware of who Nazis are? I am not. He is. Well... How do you know that? Basically human...

[02:03:56] Human betrayers who have joined the Daros dominion. These inhuman monsters that you fought with are men at the gates. The Wolfenstons. Yes, they found some strange magics or science of some kind to make themselves more than men anymore. And with the Daros and their bio-horrors, we've been hard-pressed to find a way

[02:04:25] to find their base of operations. But we finally got the opportunity thanks to Charles and his transceiving devices to get one onto one of their ships after they attacked us. I don't know that smells like that. And then Charles walks up and then Charles is like, that is not also the entire plan. Charles. That's the wrong accent. That ain't the only signal, eh?

[02:04:55] We've also been finding this signal out in the Danforth quarantine zone. We don't really hear... It's not any kind of code or English that we are familiar with, but it is some kind of... It's some kind of signal that we've never heard before and it's coming from a region that we have previously sent expeditions out to. But unfortunately, the files have been classified and I don't have any access

[02:05:24] to them. I've been trying to press the general... And the general grabs his mouth and is like, yes, they are dealing with... There are some things that... Clearly, it's a Darrow base farther in the Antarctic shelf and we don't have to deal with that, though. We want to get rid of the Nazis. We want to take out their base first. How long would it take to get there? It's... Are you... Who are you addressing? The...

[02:05:55] Commandant. The general? Sorry. God. The Nazi base, we predict, is probably three or four hours. Based on the signal, about three or four hours from Esperanza City. Okay. Through... In the tundra. How long did it take us to get here? I don't remember. Took you about two hours, I think. What's the thing called that people use?

[02:06:25] A stretcher. I need a stretcher. At this point, though, you also see Dan... Or you see Charles like pull the hand off of his mouth. Yes, but the other signal might give you... By playing, you could get there within an hour. Eight? I need eight. Hmm? I need eight. Before we do anything. Eight what? Hours. Asleep? Yes. I guess I'd get away with six. I am a half.

[02:06:54] I guess we can take some... Like, this is not super urgent as long as they don't find the transmitter. Now, here's the thing. Like... Well, you've already got the position triangulated, do you not? Roughly. Okay, so you already know where it is. You just gotta get an aircraft in the general vicinity and we should be able to spot it. So you're going to help us with this... help us take down the Nazi base? Yes, but I gotta sleep for six hours first. Okay. Wizard. Okay. Sure.

[02:07:24] I'm pretty close to spent. I'm not gonna be a whole lot of good. Fair enough. See, I'll just shoot you somewhere. We'll get some... We have some spur plunks in the barracks. Mostly, if we're going into a combat situation, I want to be prepared with a proper list of battle spells. Most. Not adventure spells. Well, so you guys are brought to... Technically, if there's... If we put some sort of bed in the plane, you just go to sleep there. Yeah, but that's only an hour.

[02:07:53] That one's the hour... No, I mean, like, you sleep in the plane now. Then we leave in five hours and we'll get there in the sixth. You guys will have... It's a land trip to the Nazi base. The air trip is through... The hour-long trip is by air. So, you guys are brought to the barracks to one of the rooms there with, like, four bunks because somebody needs nap time that the military guys don't really fully understand it. Yeah. Okay. Anything else you guys

[02:08:23] are doing while you're waiting for him to sleep? Oh, before I went to sleep, I handed you a luger. Oh, thank you. That's nice of you. I'd like to talk to Charles because, like, in regards to us potentially sending that kid back, he already took some of my blood. Is there any way to tie that into the shadow realm to make some sort of a device to send him back there

[02:08:53] as long as they have that there? Yeah, is there some sort of magical thing where I use my blood to connect it? There is... Yes, I can do it. I can do it. Okay. Because his blood is going to be here, he can use it. Because your blood is already there, I can actually use another sample of your blood to find something of you. And then you create a portal to go there? Well, not specifically to go there, but basically it'll make a wayfinder. I can use it

[02:09:23] to make a wayfinder, compass. Yeah. That you can use to go through the shadow plane to get to where your blood is on the other side. Okay, but if we're in some other world... Shadow plane connects to all of them. Really? Yeah. Oh, I'm kind of making... I know it's in the book in Pathfinder. I'm also using that for Dat World, is that it's... There's a singular, multifaceted shadow world that is a mirror image of Earth. Okay.

[02:09:51] And probably other places, depending on where you're going, in the normal universe. Okay. But yeah. But yeah, so yeah. So yeah, I didn't... He does confirm actually, like shortly after the meeting, he does confirm that you are not Nero. And that you do indeed seem to have some non-human DNA in your blood. We have just agreed. Yes? We have just agreed you are not orcs.

[02:10:21] Well, that's good. Yeah. Well, they wanted to make sure. That's fair. But yeah, so they do know that you have some weird exotic particles in your DNA. Mm-hmm. Okay, and I do want to talk to the higher-up that seem to... Or no, the brother? The older brother? Carter. Juan. Yeah. I want to talk to him and specifically tell him I've conversed with my mage friend. And we have devised a 100% method

[02:10:50] of getting your brother back to you at any point in time. Oh, that's good. As long as Charles, I believe his name was? Yeah, that's what we call him. What's his actual name? That's what you call him? Yeah. What's his actual name? What would be a good last name for a smart Canadian? Uh... Collins. Baby. Charles Martin. He's actually just... His name's just Charles Martin. So we just call him... By his first name because he's very amical.

[02:11:20] That's fair. From what I hear, that's what Canadians are like. Yes. Anyway. I wouldn't be surprised. Yeah. But yeah, so... I've already given him a blood sample of mine. As long as he keeps that blood sample... Is this more of your magic bullshit? It's a combination of magic and science together. Okay. Magic bullshit. Magical science. Listen,

[02:11:50] Charles has been saying like... He was talking to me after the meeting too. There's this other signal that he wants us to check out because he has like... He's been like investigating these signals we've been getting like sporadically from a region beyond the larger mountain range called the Danforth quarantine zone. Apparently some expeditions went on in the 30s. Classified. I don't even know anything about it.

[02:12:20] We use it right now. It's 1950... 1960. Okay. Thought so. June 5th. That's 1960 apparently. And he's been saying that there's... Like he's been picking up like strange signals coming from this thing that are not human and aren't any of the Darrow signals we've ever found. Why is the area quarantined? I don't know. It's classified. It was a classified mission. Yeah. But

[02:12:49] he says that it's only an hour flight there and he seems to think that it might help us win the war long term. But the general wants you guys and me to go deal with the Nazi base. So whatever you guys want to do but like if you guys want to try... If you guys want to sneak a plane out to this other place let me know. Okay. I'll get back to you on that. Alright.

[02:13:18] Do you have a backup plane? Because you kind of... Yeah. I don't. We got planes. Okay. Alright. Alright. So that's what you find out. And then at that point I'm going to go to head over to Charles and inform him of the plan. Okay. To keep my blood. What's some kind of DNA triggered Oh! So some kind of DNA triggered trans-dimensional communications or transportation thingy. Yeah.

[02:13:49] Pretty much. Hmm. As far as Balthazar's told me it is 100%. It will work. There's no if-ins or buts about this. Alright. Well I sure hope so. So just like you guys like appear back here in the lab where the blood is? I have no idea. I'd say maybe you would know how imprecise shadow travel is. So you would say that you would wind up within a mile of this location. That. Okay.

[02:14:18] And I I assume since it's some kind of scientific method or some hyper-scientific method it would be there would be protocols and so you wouldn't end up teleporting into a wall or something like that. Depends on the dice man. And see. No, you can't end up in a wall from shadow travel. Impossible? Okay. Alright. So yeah. What are you what is Undun doing? Walking around the barracks and

[02:14:48] is soldiers training men and women children in the gyms and so on. No children. You do see actually a younger kid like kicking a vending machine a box and like a box with a glass like window on the side of it. He doesn't know what it is. He's just like kicking it and it's like come on give me a fucking gum. Like hey you come over here give me a hand

[02:15:18] with this. Okay so I'll give him a hand I'll just punch through the glass. Whoa. And then get him his gum. Alright he takes more than the gum. He puts sand there and grabs a couple of the chocolate bars and swat his hands and he'll be like What dude like you broke it's already broken. He just wanted to go. You hear some footsteps coming from down the hallway. Sounds like heavy footsteps. Oh shit. He's like come on you'll be in

[02:15:47] trouble. He basically leads you away from the hallway. Are you going to allow him to lead you away or are you just going to follow him or are you going to he's just going to bolt it because he doesn't want to get in trouble. I think I'll just let him bolt. Okay. Two military officers show up around the corner and say hey what the fuck do you do man? Kid wanted candy. What kid? Carter's kid. Carter's brother.

[02:16:20] Look dude like Why is all this stuff in a steel prison? money in it and it deposits food. Like gold coins? He's going to put like coins in it like this? Are you a dumbass? No like I'll show him a gold piece I'll be like He like takes it and it's like yeah actually here he hands you like two or three quarters and takes

[02:16:49] the gold coin and then it's like I'll get Steve to deal with the glass it's a 60 so they're made out of silver Are they? I've still got a gold coin from you It doesn't matter I got silver now Anyways You can melt that down to bullets No A bullet You should know that in D&D terms a silver ten silver pieces is one gold piece so you basically got paid

[02:17:19] three silver pieces for gold Hey I can I can You You put the quarters into the machine and it deposits like a chocolate bar It gives you that pack of gum that the kid didn't actually pay for Yeah Congrats you have some spearmint gum That's awesome Alright

[02:17:49] so that's your adventures down the hallway of the military facility But mostly what I really just want to do is meditate because I need to heal Alright so you go back to the barracks and meditate then Basically going to chill until our Balthasar is ready willing into evil Okay That might be a good time to take a quick break I need to stand up and break everything Alright

[02:18:18] We're back And in fact we did not go back because we end of the session there So to be continued Bye
